Great park, has easy trails to enjoy a nice walk through a beautiful park. Fairly busy with quite a few people hiking but not too much to where you can't enjoy it alone at times.
Nice sized park, more like a hiking forest. Dense with tall trees so you get that "away" feel even though it's nearby to Burlington. Large enough that you can wander around and hike for a good amount of time, if desired. Main trails are not well marked, but the lake is intermittently visible to help you navigate. Get there early to snag a cliffside plateau and watch the sunset.
Really easy walk on wide trails. Ten minutes from the parking lot, you can swim at the beach. Walk along the lake and cliffs and back is about 2 and a half miles or you can hike a lot more in the woods but I've never been on those trails. Peregrine Falcons hang out here now so a few of the best sections of cliffs are closed. It's still worth a visit tho. There are a TON of dogs here.
It was a nice walk. I did a little fishing off to the right of the beach. It's pretty shallow though. I caught a couple little small mouth bass. Nice place to hike or swim.
I like red rocks, there’s usually always a place to park. I get lost sometimes though, and it would be nice if there were arrows to mark the trails. It’s an easy walk/hike with a bit of elevation, good for walking and talking. Great lake views
Beautiful and very accessible. There are many routes to choose from, and the view of the lake is gorgeous! Easy hike.
Such a great place for walking! Great views of Shelburne Bay and Juniper Island. Minutes away from the city! Plenty of parking but it does get busy. Open from sunrise to sunset. Bike rack to secure your bikes. Dog friendly. Definitely wear hiking boots, some few muddy and wet spots after a rain.
Lovely walk on the beach to see the seals. They were adorable, it was beautiful, lovely place for a walk into experience nature!

I hadn't been here for years. After a walk about photo shoot on the waterfront in Burlington, I wanted a different location to get some sunset photos. This spot never disappoints!
Good, small sunset spot. Best sunset at Lake Champlain? Idk. Need to find another cool spot. Giant houses in the area are fun to look at, too. Maybe 20 parking spaces, 3 benches, and one picnic table. Gets busy at sunset so get there early. It would be cool if there was a sign describing what we were looking at, points of interest, etc.
It's a beautiful Park looking over mountains range in Vermont. Being from Massachusetts, we were not sure what we're supposed to look for or to see until the local told us what to look for. We met a lot of bicyclists who park their cars there and bike down the hill.
Beautiful view of lake Champlain and the mountains. Faces west and is one of the best sunset views in the county.
This is a great place to catch a long view of Lake Champlain and the Adirondacks. The lot needs repaving, but there's a nice stone wall and perennial garden. Sunsets seen from here are spectacular. If they hadn't made this park, someone would have built another fancy house here and there would be no place along Spear St to stop and take in nature's beauty.
Stumbled upon this place by accident on the way back to NY during sunset. Brilliant views of the Adirondacks, especially with the sunset colors.
Pretty awesome the little park just sit and enjoy the view. Wasn’t crowded, was very clean, and had the option of about three different park benches to sit on and eat and relax.
It has a beautiful view, but some really nonsense people planted some trees in their garden, now blocking the whole panorama.

Miniature golf course
Fun & Games
Slide 1 of 8
We went mini golfing and thought the course was nice. The trees and landscaping were great and provided a lot of shade on a hot day. The course was a little outdated and needed some maintenance on the greens for the price charged. It is a cash only place, which is a downside. But overall the experience was good and it's the only mini golf place around.
Essex Family Fun has become a total dump of a place and not worth the money ($13/person to play putt putt). They need to either renovate, sell the place to someone new who can come in with some money and energy to revitalize it or close down. Also, it's 2025 and it's still cash only. Ridiculous. They should put some revenue back into the place, but obviously they're done caring about the product and it really shows. Too bad.
Went with my 5 year old to play mini golf. Course is pretty with all the water features, but it is in need of some repairs. Pretty standard course- nothing too crazy or tricky. Felt it was a bit pricey (or maybe I haven't played mini golf in a while! LOL)-- one adult was $13 and a 5-year old was $9. We did not check out any of the other things that they had to offer. Note: Mini golf is cash only
Unfortunately, this is the only mini golf course around and they know it. Business always appears to be booming but the place is in shambles. The artificial pools, fountains, and rivers, which the course's builders were likely so proud of, are now eyesores of broken plumbing, chipped paint, and pools of soapy water. The holes themselves are in serious disrepair with torn, wrinkled, and stained green carpet. The stonework is broken, crumbling, and often in the wrong place. The few holes that once gave you a hole-in-one on just the right shot no longer work properly. Even in its heyday, this course didn't have much to make it special. So why go? Because mini golf is still fun and It's the only show in town. (seriously, you could make a killing if you even just converted a junk yard to compete with this place)
We visited Essex Family Fun & Entertainment Center for a mini golf outing while exploring the area with our family. Overall, it was a fun and easygoing way to spend an afternoon, especially with kids. The course itself is enjoyable and has a variety of holes with fun, creative designs that kept the kids entertained. However, some areas definitely could use maintenance or an upgrade. A few holes had worn turf or faded features that made it feel a bit dated. Still, it didn’t take away from the overall fun for the family. This is a great spot for families. The vibe is casual and welcoming, perfect for kids and parents alike. It's not a polished or flashy place, but it’s relaxed and offers a nice, screen-free way to spend time together outdoors. This is a cash-only business, which caught us off guard. Make sure to stop by an ATM before you go, as they don’t accept cards. The staff were friendly and got us set up quickly. While service wasn’t overly engaging, it was efficient and easy. Essex Family Fun & Entertainment Center is a solid option for a low-key outing with kids. The mini golf is fun, and the overall experience is positive, even if the place could use some updates. Just remember to bring cash and go in with the mindset of enjoying some simple, old-school fun. With a little maintenance, this spot could easily be a local favorite.
Paid $22 for mini golf (1 adult 1 child) which seemed higher than what we paid last time. As others mentioned, the carpet really needs refreshing and some of the holes are in rough shape. Probably won’t go back at that price-$22 for what amounts to less than 30 min of golf just isn’t worth it.
I enjoy this place now that I know (the hard way) that you have to bring your own cash and they WON'T accept any cards (it's 2019, what is this about). It is so close and convenient, I find myself sneaking over to hit a bucket of balls. I would rate it higher but the whole cash thing kills me and there were some cleanliness issues I believe could be cleaned up. The boys clearly enjoyed miniature golf as shown in our photos. And the batting cages are something which is hard to come by in this area.
$39 to play with my 2 grandchildren on a very poorly maintained course. Greens were sliced up & very overdue for a sweep or vacuum. Don't waste your $, not worth it!!!

Dated... however nostalgic. It serves it propose. However, will be interested if it will survive another 10 years. Great for walking in the winter time. Feels safe and is clean. We appreciate the old Mall. Boomer life.
This is a nice little mall, that has variety of stores including Kohl’s and JC Penney. We found the only bubble tea store in this city in this mall. There’s also some popular stores like H&M, American Eagle, Bath & Body Works, Victoria’s Secret, Zales, Kays and Verizon. Prices are fair, alongside sales promotions in a lot of these stores. The staff did a nice job of keeping the mall clean and safe. They got a food court, that sadly has only 2 stores. There’s a free children’s play area. Throughout the mall there’s also spots for guests to sit and rest. The parking lot is pretty big, lots of spots available.
University Mall is relatively small size compared to ones I have been to in other states. It does have JCpenny, Sephora, B&B etc. Big parking lot outside. Limited selections of fashion, home, jewelry and food. Food court vendors are practically empty (2 are open?) We got something from JCPenny at discount price so it’s pretty good. Got drinks in bubble tea place, also reasonable price. The staff keep the mall very clean. I see them walking around. People in most stores were nice.
Very quiet. Lots of stores have gone. Still love Applebee's though so a reason to go to Uni Mall.
Love coming up to the University Mall with my son. When we're able to since we love in Rutland County. Wish there were free wheelchairs available cause I got hurt at work and had a very hard time walking around the whole mall. We checked out Target, Vermont Gaming Academy, & the phone case store cause my case has been broke for a while. All the folks were very polite. Thanks for everything.
There are some very nice shops in there just a lot of walking. They really should have some mobility cards for people that have mobility issues.
Almost nobody on a Friday afternoon... Doesn't give any ambiance or fun for shopping, and a few stores weren't even open.
Weirdly lots of people, and not much there. Auntie Anne's is keeping the lights on, I guess. There is only one open place in the food hall, and the two restaurants are popping. If you like tabletop and card games, there's a cute local shop there with another place to play with others.

0-2 hour parking is free, what's not to love? Felt safe in the garage, no problems at all. Download the app, add your car and payment method, and you're done!
My wife and I parked in this garage while visiting Burlington. It is a great location to Church Street and the pier. My one comment is the parking instructions - we wouldn't have incurred a $20 fine had we known payment was required BEFORE leaving the garage (so yes, you are required to estimate you long you will be parking and pay for that estimated amount of time). The signs say 'Pay by Plate,' which in many locations, means a camera logs your entry into the garage upon entrance and, only upon departing, do you go to a pay station, enter the plate number, and are then given the amount you owe. Realizing this upon our return to the garage after a great afternoon in Burlington, I paid for several hours of time so as not to depart with 'free' parking the entire afternoon - only to find a $20 fine on the vehicle. But an inexpensive lesson learned - paying it forward here by informing future users to PAY IMMEDIATELY AFTER PARKING YOUR CAR or you are subject to fines.
Large pot hole right at the entrance to the garage that swallows your tire. Unavoidable when entering. Multiple thefts reported. One vehicle stolen. Numerous homeless seen. Overflowing trash. As of April 2025
So, you find yourself in a sketchy, dimly-lit car park where folks seem to be on a different kind of adventure. If you’re a tourist from Europe, good luck trying to pay for parking! The European Parkmobile (EasyPark) app is useless here, and the website won’t let you in without a US phone number. Even texting “Park” to 77223 is a no-go with an international number. The silver lining? The first 2 hours are free. We made sure to get out of there well before then!
This garage is horribly maintained, and will damage your car. Chunks of the concrete are falling off. The structure is visibly rusting and the concrete is clearly falling to pieces. Be very careful of parking here, especially if it rains. Chunks of damaged concrete mixed with rusty water will coat your car
I have never left a review in my life but I had to say something to give recognition to the fantastic worker who helped us. I’m a stupid college student from New Jersey that came up to Vermont for the first time to visit my friend’s dorm. I had accidentally prepaid for the garage down the street instead of this one and thought my car got towed, and the man who found me uncontrollably sobbing over my missing car with 0 tow company #’s responding was nothing short of amazing and kind in the midst of my breakdown. My car ended up being completely fine and untowed- (just forgot where I parked it🙈)but that man dealt with something that I consider extremely stressful and overwhelming as a young inexperienced person with such kindness and sensitivity that I had to leave this review to give my thanks. To the parking garage worker that remembers the hysterical girl from nj, wherever you are, I sincerely thank you from the bottom of my heart for handling my outburst with such patience and thank you for helping me locate my car as I was freaking out and at a loss for what to do in an unfamiliar location/situation. It is individuals like that who restore my faith in human kindness. Thank you sir😊😊🙏
Very confusing. It is supposed to be free for the first two hours, but everywhere signs say "pay or get a ticket" so it is not clear if you are in the right place. I paid by app, it took my money, for a spot in Easton PA.
Parked there for a few days to take Amtrak. Came back to a broken window on the Jeep. Not secure at all.

Beautiful "lil" spot... has so much to see and want... I definitely will come back when we are in town
Wonderful selection of food, wood craft, ceramic, jewelry and more at reasonable prices. Most items are from local artisans, some is foreign made. Great stop for the souvenir you haven't gotten yet
The term "barn" had me thinking this would be a massive old barn on a country road absolutely stuffed full of souvenirs and gifts. Instead, it was an average sized shop next to a busy road and a hotel. Still, it was a great gift shop. It was very well organized, items were priced well, and it had a been of everything for everyone from kids t-shirts to fine art pottery and local artist prints. If you're a tourist in town or just looking for a good Vermont gift for someone the Vermont Gift Barn will probably have what you need.
This place was unbelievable, awesome items. Make sure to set aside ample time to see everything. Folks are friendly and prices aren't too bad. Local artists have things there and very unique items. Will be going back there on our next visit!
About 20 years ago, on my first and only trip to Vermont, I visited your treasure-trove store (so many wonderful things to discover.) I've never forgotten it. In fact, at age 79, the ring with the blue bead from one of your artists, sits next my sapphire ring on my hand in perfect harmony.
Wonderful arts and crafts for so many amazing local vendors and artisans. The selection of wooden goods was great. Staff was very kind
This place is packed with good Vermont stuff. It's also reasonable on prices. Still tourist prices, but not as bad as down on Church Street
I had visited the Vermont Gift Barn during a day-trip to Burlington from the Point au Roche area in New York, where I was vacationing with my wife, her parents, and a collection of her aunts, uncles, and cousins. Despite having visited some of the college bookstores and gift shops in the surrounding area, I had stopped into the Vermont Gift Barn in the hopes of finding the usual suspects of gifting: magnets, t-shirts, key-rings, and any other items of unsuspecting curiosity that would make for suitable presents for friends and family, particularly my parents in the United Kingdom, for whom I attempt to find a souvenir from every state that I visit. Unfortunately, I found only the typical collection of items that many gift stores have, though nobody seems to want: hand-carved structures of some mythical entity, combination wood chopping boards, comical tea-towels, wine-stoppers, coasters with cheesy slogans, and coffee mugs that make some vague stab at cat-related humor. Of course, there were a small number of the items that I'd hoped to find, but the hats were poorly-designed and of minimal quality, the magnets looked home-made and always seem to have some strange thermometer glued to them, and the jugs of maple syrup that were available in novel glass containers had already been purchased from a genuine sugar house. Overall, it would seem that the name of the store carries a degree of uncertainty. If you are searching for hand-crafted, though slightly over-priced gifts, and you are in Vermont, the Vermont Gift Barn could offer several unique opportunities. Doubtless, it would be the place to search for someone that has everything, an arts-and-crafts oriented person, or at the very least the one individual that you feel obligated to purchase gifts for despite not wanting to, or knowing very well. However, if you are searching for gifts that could make for positive proofs of tourism and adventure that clearly depict Vermont, then a university bookstore would better serve your needs.

Small venue but enough space to not feel crowded, bar and food trucks were available that night. Pretty easy to see the performance from the raised bar area. The line moved fast after doors opened, drinks were reasonably priced. There is a decent amount of parking.
Higher ground is an awesome place to go see a show. The staff is great and the rooms are great for a show.
I've been going to this venue for almost 14 years now. I love this venue the most out of any I have been to. The staff is super friendly, helpful and amazing. I have been to shows in both rooms of the venue and neither are lacking. I have seen so many artists here and discovered so much music. Just went with my buddies to see Moon Hooch last night and it was another fantastic show. Although one drawback is I've noticed less metal has been booked here this year and I hope it's not a continuing trend because driving down to Albany is such a hassle. I can't wait to see what other artists I get to see here. The list must keep growing! Love you Higher Ground, thanks for all the memories!
The ballroom is a large venue with good sound and decent bar. Ample parking and near public transport stop. A few restaurants nearby for pre show nibbles.
Great, first-time experience at Higher Ground to see Shovels & Rope. The sound is great and there is a good selection of beers. Parking was a slight troubling experience for such a highly-attended show. The parking lots are dark and there are warnings about parking in the wrong lot and risk of being towed. As an out-of-towner, this was my only concern. Cheers to local music venues!
Great small venue. Saw California Guitar Trio and talked with all three band members.
It's a great venue to see local bands. Lots of room while still feeling you are close to the action. In the main room there are two bars so I have never had to wait for a drink, even when it is packed. The aucuatics are not great, but they are not bad
My friends and I were so excited to attend a concert at this venue. The bouncer didn’t let one of my friends into the venue for throwing away a bottle of alcohol that belonged to our friend, not her. I understand that this might be their policy, but as exchange students we weren’t clued in on this. It was completely unreasonable. They were happier to allow my friend to go home alone in the dark (we obviously didn’t let that happen). Two of my friends had to leave, their night ruined. I just wanted to warn anyone else that might have this problem!

I just took part in MotoVermont's Intro to Adventure training course and had a fantastic time!! The group of participants was very diverse and the course was very accomodating to riders with different levels of experience. We learned some foundational off road riding techniques then had the chance to implement them while riding around some of the most beautiful roads and scenery you can find in North East. The instructors Eric and Spenser were very accomodating and took time to work individually with us when necessary to ensure everyone got the most out of the training. The food was fantastic and the camping at the foot of Mount Abraham offered some stunning views and a peaceful and serene setting to spend a few days. Overall a fantastic experience. I would recommend this training to anyone who wants to begin dipping their toe into the world of adventure riding. It gave me the skill and confidence I was looking for to feel more comfotable to go ride and explore on my own.
Great company, awesome people, easy rentals! Not much to say here because the whole process went SO smoothly! We will be using Motovermont again and highly recommend them to everyone interested in riding in New England!!!
My husband and I had a great time! My husband went over 100 miles through the trails while Eric spent time with me teaching me riding techniques and etc. we had a blast! Highly recommended and will be back!!!!
I would like to highlight the incredible experience we had with Spencer on in June 2024 in Waterbury. Spencer was personable, helpful and eager for us to have the best experience. In 25 years of riding this was my best experience off road by far. Kudos to MotoVermont for putting together fun tours and a huge thanks to Spencer for making our two days challenging, engaging, and fun ! With his help we also grew our skills and greatly appreciated our stay in Vermont. Thanks for guiding us through the process, answering our many questions and making this an awesome trip. Looking forward to riding again with MotoVermont.
Motovermont was a great find. Eric and Spencer were really helpful. Not only did they rent us two BMW motorbikes which were in perfect condition, they also sent us great ideas for the perfect route prior to our trip. When we got there they had the bikes ready attending outside. After storing or stuff in the motorbike case and some paper work we were ready to head off. We left the rest of our luggage which we didn't need we with them and when we got back Eric even gave us a lift to the hotel. Thanks a lot guys! We had a great time with the motorcycle from Motovermont and can highly recommend them.
Best place to get your motorcycle rental needs taken care of in Burlington VT - better yet, sign up for one of their exciting adventure motorcycling tours. Eric & Spenser are two cool dudes who know their craft. 🏍️🤙🌄
Did the 2-day "Intro to Adventure". Eric and Spencer are excellent. Super positive vibes, great, experience, delicious food, learned tons, had a great time, beautiful scenery, climbed hills, traversed muddy puddles. Highly recommend.
We took a 7-day dual sport trip in New Mexico with the guys from MotoVermont. It was fantastic in every way! From a fun, creative, and varied itinerary, to thoughtfully chosen lodging and meals (including some meals cooked by the company owner at our motels!), friendly and encouraging guiding, and ever-present can-do attitudes and smiles -- it was an unforgettable and rewarding experience from start to finish. I highly recommend traveling or training with Eric and Spencer!

Honestly the service was amazing on Sun 8/17 - Thanks drive thru guy, you were a rock of comfort on a stormy journey. When I needed it most, you spoke with patience and realness, and helped me feed my daughter. It's small acts like this that keep society together, brother.
My chicken nuggets were dry, we were given the wrong sauce, there was no lemonade or mocha frappes, but service was pretty good. I did have a great time with my friends though. (As pictured below). I took my British friends to this McDonald’s because I wanted them to experience pure happiness
We were waited on by Nick and he was absolutely wonderful. I am collecting the BTS tiny tans and he was amazing about it. Thank you Nick hope you are there the next time we go in
After waiting longer than I ever have at a McDonald’s, I collected my order and then realized after a minute that they had put a put another customer’s hamburger instead of mine inside along with my own items. I went back and told them, at which point the manager rudely asked why I’d taken someone else’s order, when *they* were the ones who mistakenly put it in the bag with my name and order number on it! Avoid
Where to start. They take the fast out of fast food. There is no sense of urgency. When you have a pick up order the workers ignore helping you let alone give a warm welcome. Order is usually missing items. The fast food industry has taken a nose dive.
My husband and I got 40 snack wraps with extra ranch to find foli o fish sauce in our wraps! We spent over 100 bucks just for this crap! ILL NEVER COME BACK TO THIS LOCATION AS THAT SAUCE MADE ME PUKE!
On June 25th I ordered ahead on the app and received order confirmation. I got confirmation that the order was received and was ready. Walked into the store and was told that not only was it not made...but they couldn't make it for another hour. Despite that.. they charged me for it. Just avoid.
table was not clean I had to wash it myself, however the staff member who brought us our food and checked on customization was excellent

The best dive bar in the world that just so happens to have golf. Friendly and informative staff. Amazing trackman technology. Really supportive and helpful staff
Free pool, free foosball, free golf. Nice staff, plenty of TVs and pizza inside. 6 total places to play virtual golf and you can call to reserve. Highly recommended this place.
Golf simulators are a Lot of fun. Make sure to make a tee time days in advance. Weekends are usually booked. Staff are friendly and helpful. You play & pay by the hour. Bring your entire golf bag in.
I love Gonzo's!! They have eight simulators and they have a variety of golf courses you can choose from. It's so realistic!! The staff are very helpful and cheerful.
14 years across 2 football leagues and 4 years of baseball with the old ownership. Prior to 2022 Gonzo was run like a boot camp and the ruler knew and enforced the rules with an iron fist. Everything ran as smooth as a hot knife through butter. 1 year Under new management and so far I’m not impressed. They have modernized the game tremendously which is great. The problem lies in the quality of the product itself. Incorrect reports published weekly with errors such as blank stat lines for active players, incorrect lineups for entire leagues, egregious stat miscalculation’s, etc… I hope they get the ship back on a wayward course before they lose their following.
It's free to play pool, darts, ping pong, shuffle board, and Foosball. Grab a beer and a pizza while you play some virtual golf.
As a die-hard golfer + California transplant, Gonzo's is a godsend. Love how many simulator bays they have and that I can play courses like Pacific Dunes and Cabot Links. Service was super friendly - can't wait to go back!

I’ve been to this spa about three times. I’m actually going today for a Thai massage and a deep tissue combination. I even got a free sauna offer today !!!!!! This place is amazing and if you are in the Vermont area, I definitely think you should stop by and get a treatment Whether it’s massage ,facial waxing or something else therapeutic for the body. It’s also very clean and give you the relaxation you need to step away from stress for a little while !!! Also shout out Veronica she did an amazing job and made me feel like a king 10 stars to this place and to this massage therapist I’ll be back again
I had a wonderful experience with Maria. The customer service and the products they use is top tier! They even have shoes for you to change into in the winter time so you can take your boots off.
I found Absolute Wellness Healing Spa a couple years ago when looking for a masseuse who offered weekend hours. The therapists there are all highly qualified. Each therapist brings a unique set of expertise to their practice. I have been seeing the same massage therapist named Grace for well over a year now. The incredible mental and physical revitalization I receive each time I am there is truly wonderful. I always walk out already looking forward to my next appointment with Grace. She is an amazing masseuse / person I see at Absolute Wellness. Thank You! Kevin
I have always had high quality massages at Absolute Wellness. The spa is tucked away in a building you would not expect, but the space is relaxing with calming music and a beautiful ambiance. Aida was extremely skilled. She was friendly and welcoming. Her knowledge of where muscles connect was evident during her massage, which she tailored to my specific needs. I left feeling extremely relaxed and ready to return ASAP.
Horrible experience, I went to Absolute Wellness Healing Spa for a waxing service, hoping for a smooth and refreshing experience. Unfortunately, it turned into a nightmare. My husband booked this appointment over the phone for waxing my legs and hands, and he specifically mentioned my condition as I am six months pregnant and needed an experienced person to handle the procedure. When I arrived at the salon, there was no receptionist, so I waited for someone to assist me. After a few minutes, Maria, the therapist, came to take me to the treatment room. While we were in the treatment room, the therapist seemed unaware of my condition and expressed surprise that her boss took this appointment, as they are usually neither prepared nor experienced in waxing pregnant women. Contrary to what I was told when booking the appointment—that they had experienced therapists who were accustomed to working with pregnant women—Maria's reaction confirmed that this was not the case. The entire process was extremely uncomfortable and painful for me. To make matters worse, the owner of the establishment was not present to explain why we were misinformed about the appointment. Maria attempted to reach out to her by phone for guidance, but the owner never apologized. Instead, she rushed Maria to finish with me so that she could attend to another customer, without even acknowledging or speaking to me. It was an experience I would never want to repeat.
Very nice people got a facial and last lift by Aida, both came out beautifully. Great energy would recommend trying it out if you’ve never done it. Place was really clean and I felt like I was in good hands. It’s been about a week and my lashes have held up amazing and I feel so confident.
I had a wonderful and relaxing massage at Absolute Wellness! The massage therapist took extra time to really work on my shoulders, which tend to be extra tight and full of knots. I appreciate her time and care!

When I was there, it was early on a weekday and there weren't a lot of people. The Starbucks was one of the nicer ones I've seen with a fireplace and a wall of seating... Plus places with easy access for phone charging. They had a surprisingly large manga section. The only place I saw to sit down though was the Starbucks. The Starbucks was out of coconut milk, but they gave me almond milk instead and promised they would remake it if I didn't like it. So that's a point. I also got the spinach and artichoke quiche, which a lot of Barnes and Noble don't seem to have anymore...plus it was cooked all the way through which was nice... So another point. That often doesn't happen at the BN Starbucks. Atmosphere... Very nice and quiet...it did need the roof repaired in a few places but luckily no books had been damaged. I did see a spider web on one of the book signs, which made me wonder how often people got to that corner. This could be a strike, but honestly, that's all easily fixable and shouldn't be held against the store. All in all, I liked it and would go back. If I were to make any suggestions to management, it would simply be to add some chairs in for people to sit and look at the books. The longer people linger, the more likely they are to buy a book they are looking at. I'm a perfect example of that. I would have bought a book if my butt hadn't gone numb from sitting on the hard Starbucks chairs or the floor where I parked myself to check out the books I thought looked interesting.
A great place to escape a hectic day and shop for the perfect book or a unique gift. The store associates are very helpful and the inventory is well laid out. The snack bar offers an array of foods and drinks that never disappoint.
Really cool Barnes and Noble in Burlington, Vermont. Huge. And this was the first time I see one that sells used books.
When I came to meet a friend there today we left quickly. It is not what it used to be. The nooks and crannies that used to be there, where you could sit in a comfy chair and enjoy your drink or read a book or write an essay were gone. It felt cold and loud.
I can always find many books and great deals here (sometimes too many 😅) I do miss when there were the computers stationed nearby to search books and sometimes its hard to find someone to ask questions. However will say that when I do ask for help, I'm always given good customer service. The Cafe for Starbucks is good. It is a smaller menu, but there are always fresh Bakery items. And I'm usually able to order some of my favorite drinks. Overall, I'll say that this location always has many good books and are one of the only businesses open late in the area! The staff is friendly and locating what you need is fairly easy. I also give props to B&N for always offering ways to save money be it a membership, coupons or bogo days. This location is a staple and has been around for as long as I'm able to remember, so my review is also steeped in nostalgia. I would definitely recommend coming here!
I don’t appreciate how Barnes & Noble treated one of their regular customers. He’s someone who comes in often just to read and mind his own business. Instead of treating him with respect, they profiled him just because he has his own sense of personality and talks a certain way. They followed him around, acted rude, and made him feel like he didn’t belong. It’s really upsetting to see them harass a person with a disability and assume the worst just because he’s a little different. He wasn’t doing anything wrong and didn’t deserve to be treated that way. It’s not right to judge or follow someone around just because they don’t fit a certain look. Barnes & Noble needs to do better and learn how to treat people with respect.
Staff very friendly and helpful and if a book I am interested in is not in the store, they order it for me. Its pleasant to be in there anytime, and nice to know coffee/pastry can always be obtained there too if you wish to step into the café area.
Horrible experience. The upstairs children's area was closed for renovations. Associate offered to fetch any book l requested if I knew the author and title. When I explained that I wanted something similar to a known author I was gifted with a blank stare and a careless shrug. No effort was made to contact another associate or to go any further. Then, when I approached the checkout with selections for myself, the cashier walked away and said, " It'll just be a few moments". I returned my selections and left. Never again.

Great clean rink! nice snack bar with lors of options. 5/10 in the cold hockey mom meter! Lots of warm seating through the glass too!
Good snack bar, great sound system on the rink! Easy access from 89
Pretty good arena, lots of open space in the front, unfortunately could not find sharpening and pro shop seemed pretty small. Good surfaces and locker rooms though
I haven't been there in years. Now my grandson is playing hockey, they have made lots of improvements.
Awesome place to hold the Hockey Fights MS tournament in Burlington VT with 60+ teams. Nice locker rooms that were clean and well maintained. Ice was good too.
Love this rink!!! Surface always incredibly groomed, no slate dents and lockers are clean!!!
Took my kid there for the first time for public skating and she love it will be going again
Really well done local rink. 2 rinks. Public skating hours that are pretty cheap. You can also rent a rink for a private party. Fun for winter birthdays.
