Very pleasant! I like this a lot more than the Block Island Ferry! The car is easy on and off drive through. The deck has benches facing the water with a roof that gives shade from the sun. After Labor Day it is not crowded. Such a pleasant trip! The layout of each ferry is different, we liked John F.
Great option to cross from New York to Rhode Island with a scenic ferry Ride with your car! Prompt and courteous service and the lovely view makes this an enjoyable trip!
Reservations were easy to navigate. Vehicle size and type info were needed. Arrived early, recommended, and smooth sailing.
The ferry ride from Orient Point, NY to New London, CT was wonderful. The service was great and the ride itself was pretty good. Ferry ride is about 1 hour and 20 minutes. There are plenty of seats to sit both inside and outside with an option to buy coffee, snacks, food and desserts. Bathrooms are available too. We are allowed to enter back into our cars towards the end of the ferry ride.
Wonderful experience. Met some great people! Clean well done!
One of the best ways to get to the island. Spectacular food on the ferry and check out the bar
My ferry on a Monday at 9:15pm was canceled and they rebooked it for 8:00am on Tuesday. The did not make me pay the price change for the ferry I booked on Tuesday since it was peak and I had originally booked a rewards member spot that was cheaper. I arrived at 7:50am on Tuesday and the ferry was still boarding but they told me I was “late” and put me in standby and gave my spot away to other people who did not have a reservation. I had to wait another hour to get on the 9:00am ferry. When I got on the next ferry they upcharged me $37.97 because they said I was late for my ferry and they would no longer honor the price change from my original ferry that they canceled. In all the years I’ve taken the ferry, I’ve never had my spot taken away, even if I was there 5 or 10 minutes before my reservation, they still let me get on the ferry. When I talked to the customer service representatives, they were unsympathetic, talked over me on the phone and in the office, and kept telling me I was late and it was their policy and I should have read the disclaimer. They were not helpful and rude. When I asked if I could book a later ferry, they said “that’s called double booking and it’s against our policy.” They were short and snippy with me and didn’t make an effort to help. Even if I am in the wrong about not being there 15 minutes early, they could have said I’m really sorry I know that it must be distressing and had some sympathy. But they did not seem sympathetic and made me feel terrible.
Traveling up to Boston and decided to take scenic route. Last few times up had us close to five and a half hours. This route cuts an hour off the trip and passes all of the NYC traffic. For a car, driver, and two passengers we paid $122 and got across to New London in an hour and 15 minutes. Could get pricey but totally worth it. Very cool views top!

What a beautiful state park, with clean bathrooms and showers, and a small concession stand. Plenty of shaded picnic areas with tables and grills at your disposal. Gorgeous kayaking opportunities! Ample parking. Had a blast kayaking and picnicking here the whole day.
An excellent park located on the north fork of long island. this park offers multiple scenic, bird trails along beautifully maintained paths. Park itself is well maintained with multiple picnic areas and sports facilities for people to utilize. There are multiple restrooms for people to use and kayak and canoe rentals. There are multiple signs listed at pets are not welcome. However, during the off-season there was nobody enforcing this just saying. Over a wonderful experience the park closes at 4 PM.
This beach is exactly what we were looking for. It’s one of the few beaches you can park at in the North Fork if you don’t have the village permit. You pay $10 to enter the park and then have a beautiful short drive along the water. The beach is quite rocky but beautiful and quiet - there were only 3 families there when we were there. There are easily accessible bathrooms, a couple swings and slides for the kids and lots of picnic tables in the shade of you wanted to bring lunch from the Orient General Store.
Another great park and beach near the very end of the North Fork of Long Island. And not too crowded. Took a walk through the nature trail and saw a few deer.
Beautiful sights! Had a chance to see fishing boats docking and unloading. Friendly hard working people. Absolutely stunning sights.
Park & beach is beautiful. The lifeguard Joseph was so very helpful when I inquired to rent an umbrella for shade for my 90-year-old aunt whose favorite place is Orient State Park. There are no umbrellas for rent. Lifeguard Joseph was so kind as to set up one of his umbrellas for my aunt so she may sit on the bench with shade. Thank you again for your act of kindness to us!! Also, Mary at the gift shop is a gem! Thank you to all #nysparksdepartment
This is a really nice state park, especially out East. In my honest opinion, Montauk is overrated meanwhile here at Orient Point is another great place to go when out East (as a Long Islander). You have a lot of picnic areas with shade, and tables with grills. Parking wasn't a problem. The beach is pretty long, lots of walking plus biking if you wanted to. In the area, there are a lot of good restaurants. Overall, really nice area plus beach especially for families.
The best state park in Long Island NY. Beautiful. Well maintained. Full facilities. Plenty of parking. Friendly staff.

Nicely kept historical buildings and furniture. The docents are very knowledgeable and go out of their way to explain things. Recommend it to anyone who wants to get to know the history of orient better.
What a gem of a place. Melissa and Bill were extremely courteous and accommodating of our visit, and Bill was impressively knowledgable and passionate about the history of the grounds. The lower floor of the main house gives you a sense of how its inhabitants lived in the 1800s, while the upstairs contains thoughtfully curated and changing exhibitions drawing on OHS’s extensive collections by Bill himself. We will be back!
Great place to visit. They always have something new going on to display. Everyone is friendly and very informative. We always have a good time visiting.
Beautiful village. Local history. Interesting buildings. Love coming here.
Very interesting place that offers great deal of information on the local area. The building is full of historical things and the staff are very knowledgeable and welcoming

Amazing golf course with a laid back atmosphere. Great little bar. The back 9 has some of the best views on Long Island.
Have been doing a day trip for 11 years straight. Course is always in great shape. Course plays tough - protected by green side bunkers and fast greens. You have room off the tee . Would recommended for golfers of all skill levels. Just played 2 days ago even the air raided greens rolled true. See you next year !
Beautiful late afternoon 3:25pm tee time, fairways and beautiful shape a real pleasure to be on The fairway... The rough was difficult I personally had problems with the first cut of the rough, my home Golf Course does not really have a first cut of rough it's more links style... And of course what can I say about the 16th the par 3 beautiful scenic hole.. playing about 175 yards overlooking the Long Island sound with beautiful clouds Blue skies... The first time I played island's end was just about 40 years ago... And now I only live a few miles away on Shelter Island it's always a real treat to go over to the island's end I love taking my friends for a great round of golf and for a great enjoyable cost to play. PS I might try the gold teeth next time...
Nice place. Neutral staff. Expensive but what do you expect. I am writing this review to warn you of the abundance of poison ivy at hole 16 (and other areas). If you lose your ball, do NOT try to retrieve it. There are no signs to warn you. Bring gloves and be aware of what poison ivy looks like.
Fun course, hole 16 is such a treat!! Amazing views of the LI sound.
Great place to not only play golf but to have a beverage, lunch of dinner. Whether you play golf of want to have a nice meal overlooking the golf course you won't be disappointed. Good food, good drinks, good prices and friendly service.
There is a person who claims to be on the board of directors there (may or may not be true if it is it looks even worse for the course) who is constantly at the course drinking with his friends and being aggressive towards the guests. I watched him and a group of his friends sprint from the driving range to the putting green golf clubs in hand obviously intoxicated at 12 in the afternoon to try to intimidate someone who WAS CHIPPING IN THE CHIPPING AREA. Screaming getting in someone's face and being belligerent and threatening is never the answer to such a simple problem. Someone needs to reel these guys in before they assault a guest.
Great track! Really good condition, and challenging emough for anyone. Signature hole #16 could be at Pebble Beach. Give it a try.

It's worked great and the server was awesome. The view is so nice. I had a blast and I enjoyed it. I would visit here again.
Great local place that tourists don't know about!!! family friendly plus great outdoor seating!
The best seafood eating place i have ever been. Really great quality products there. Nice place just for drinks too!!
Very nice place with nice view, sea food is very good, 5 min from the restaurant is very good beach, on Saturday evening was many ppl, the atmosphere is calm and relaxing
Beautiful deck right on the water. I stopped there for lunch--absolutely the best burger I have ever had! You have to try the bacon wrapped scallops--very juicy--just delicious, and the servers are attentive and friendly. Can't wait to go back to try the dinner menu. Great drinks as well.
Nice place to go for a quick bite. Staff is very quick and friendly. Food is very good.
Wow what a great surprise coming here on Sunday at 4pm. I almost didn't come because of some of the reviews. Had a really nice bowl of NE clam chowder which the call orient clam chowder. The chowder had a sweet corn taste. I ordered the prime rib med rare and to my surprise if was bone-in. Despite coming out med-well it was delicious. My wife had the broiled platter and it was a decent portion and very good. Yes the prices are high but the value is there. Its next door to the ferry so to the price complainers I say what's expect

We never miss an opportunity to go to the Candy Man when we visit my family on the North Fork. The candy is excellent quality, and our kids love choosing a few of these and a few of those to fill a box with their favorites. We love this East End shop.
The Candy Man in Orient is pure nostalgia! Stepping inside is like a trip back in time, filled with classic, delicious chocolates and candies. Everything is so fresh, and the homemade treats are a must-try. A real North Fork treasure for anyone with a sweet tooth!
What a horrible experience, you must be kidding me with this place. My wife wanted to get a pound of chocolate but not at $30! I could get high quality German chocolate for less. When we first arrived there was no one else in the store, and the lady behind the counter was the most unwelcoming, nasty sourpuss with zero personality. No sweetness about her! Another lady came out from the back to speak to her yet she acknowledged no one else in the store and by that time there were one or two other customers as well. Candy and chocolate collection was really nothing special and way overpriced. Thanks but no thanks. Definitely won't be back.
What a great little shop. When you walk in, the first thing you notice is the pungent smell of chocolate throughout the store. Upon closer inspection you are met with a cornucopia of different candies. Aside from having all 3 types of chocolate available, they have as many customizations as you can think of for the chocolates. The prices are very fair and for the quality of the chocolate it's totally worth it. The chocolate is all homemade there, and they do a great job as the taste of the chocolate is delicious. The dark chocolate in particular is so good...I'd put it above hershey's dark chocolate in taste. The great bonus is that there doesn't appear to be any milk listed in the ingredients for the dark chocolate, probably making it vegan friendly. To top it all off the store is very clean and cozy inside, please give this place your business as they deserve it.
They are open and ready to take care of your sweet tooth. From chocolate covered marshmallows to jelly beans. They gave you covered. Staple of the community. Can’t wait to go back
Amazing candy, great selection All homemade
Delicious! Their jelly bars are my go-to when I am headed to or from the ferry. There's also nostalgic bagged candy of all different types. Basically, something for everyone. There's sugar-free available for those that like or require it. It's a must stop place if you haven't already been there. It's a bit pricey, but it's worth it.
Best chocolate. Worth the drive

Great boat quick clean great staff amazing service You won’t have enough buckets by noon great fishing spots your gonna be tired of catching so many fish non stop love it thanks for the experience
I can’t say enough good things about this boat. I’ve been fishing on this boat now for over 20 years. I am proud to say that I am one of the original clients! Ken always puts you on the fish. He is a great captain, cares about his crew, and always goes above and beyond to make sure you have a good time and catch fish. Marco and Chris are awesome mates and are always willing to help you. By far this is the best boat I’ve ever fished on. So much that I have been a client for over 20 years.
Beautiful fast Boat. We went out for Striped bass and These guys go out to Catch Fish! Highly Recommend and Captain Ken and Chris are Excellent! Also the Views are Beautiful Great Fishing Trip! Can’t wait to go on a Fluke trip soon on The Brooklyn Girl! Thank You! 🙏
I could not have asked for a better captain & crew I fished with my two sons and two friends for a bass trip and THEY WERE GREAT. I have been fishing since I was 14 (now 64) and have NEVER had such a great crew! We are scheduled for two ocean Fluke trips, it is well worth the drivs!!!!
Excellent Captain and crew they made our day today so relaxing and helpful !! I very highly recommend this boat caught plenty of fish !! Brooklyn Girl makes it happen !!!
An easy recommendation. Captain Ken is an expert fisherman — literally always finds the fish — and also makes sure we have a good time. We are consistent customers!
My friend and I went fishing yesterday. My friend needs some extra help due to a stroke . CPT Ken and Chris were extra patient and helpful, plus we caught plenty of fish. Thanks for a great day !
I’ve benn fishing with Capt. Ken on the Brooklyn Girl for about 15 years. From the captain to the staff, they are truly great at what they do. They’re always friendly, respectful and they put you right on the fish. Why? Because of their years of experience fishing the waters. From Striped Bass, Porgy, Black Sea Bass, Fluke, Blackfish (Taug) etc. they are masters at their craft. I’ve always raved and referred the Brooklyn Girl to all my friends and family. The staff is second to none, they’re always there to help and guide in order to catch the most fish. I’ll always come back year after year to catch lots of fish and catch up with the guys. I’ve always scheduled my private charters early for prime dates or jumped on open boat or split charters with the help of email reminders of their schedules. They’re fantastic at what they do, positive friendly good people with a great sense of humor throughout the whole outfit!

Superb. Old time curation of varied stock. Different every year. Pleasant owner and staff. Near Orient point ferry. It's worth the visit every time!

Great experience - caught a ton of fish, boat was great and clean, deckhand and captain were super helpful and made quick work of everything we caught. Will definitely go again next time we are in orient.
I've been on Prime Time twice. Both times there were issues. The first trip Captain Mike spent the entire day on his cell phone. We didn't catch a damn thing. We were fluke fishing and 1 keeper out of 5 of us. We barely moved all day. He was on the phone the entire time could care less what we caught. The next time (and last time I will go on a Prime Time boat) the mate and Captain were jerks. The mate Eric would not help you do anything because as he put it he was "old school". You bait and take the fish off yourself. That's what "old school" is. All he did was sit on his butt all day and smoke. If you asked for help he'd get nasty, unless it was one of his buddies he brought along that were up front. He helped them. Some old guy needed help getting a fish off and he hagged at him too. To top it off we had to listen how his tug boat captain job was way better and more with it than the Prime Time. He was bashing the Prime Time. We were black fishing and they had no issue telling us the best day they had is when they sold $800 in weights once because everyone was getting snagged. Real jerks. They have a sign hung on the cabin that says "No Whining" and that's all THEY did when someone needed help. The captain in the mean time, Captain Paul, spent most of his time singing and fishing himself not lifting a finger to help anyone either. Go out of Montauk, it's not much further and you won't have to deal with jerks like this.
Went on a trip last week with them. Our group was nine. The captain and the mate were nice. The mate was very attentive and helpful. Boat is clean and there is a cabin and a bathroom. Our trip was suppose be for stripers and blues first half then bottom fish for sea bass. It did not end up that way. We ended just doing stripers and blues. Caught some short stripers with 2 keepers and a lot of bluefish which Is fun to catch but not many of us wanted to eat. For the amount of money we paid per person including tip, I wanted to catch fish that I enjoy eating. Wish the captain would ask his paying customers what we wanted to catch. As soon as bluefish started hitting, it is more difficult to catch stripers. To boot we can only have 5 poles in the water and there were 9 of us. We had to alternate people on rods. Listen up captain for the money we paid you should have done what you originally told us. Part of the evening striper/blues the other sea bass.
My friend booked a private trip before, but the Captain didn’t tell us that there were more people on the boat. He didn’t answer the phone, then the boat was leaving! We want more people to know about our experience which happened on last weekend.
Me and my friends booked a private boat with Captain Michael on last Saturday. He didn’t tell us that he would plan to combine our group with other groups together. And the boat was not a big one. Before he texted me that there were only 12 people on the boat. We had 9 in total. After we got there, Captain Bob was there, I tried to call Michael, he didn’t answer; then I used my friend’s cell phone, he answered very quickly. He was very rude and hung over my phone. Then the boat left, we were just standing by the pier. They are so TERRIBLE! Hope everyone is looking for it and think about before you book it. It is the worst experience I ever had. We came from New Jersey and drove three hours to get there, and he lied on us and left us without a solution. I booked his boat from Fishingbooker.com, I also wrote an email to them about what happened.
We booked private trip however captain Mike combined us with another group without notification. We refused to board because he lied to us then the boat drove away! We drove 3hrs to get there and our weekend was ruined. Will NEVER come again and will tell everyone i know. That's so TERRIBLE leaving 9 people standing there. That's my worst travel experience EVER on this planet.
I am the one of the group who booked a private trip and the Captain didn't let us know that there were another group of people on the same boat too. And in this moment, other people didn't wearing face covers, it is SO DANGEROUS!!! What was worse, Captain Michael was so rude and not responsible. The other Captain said that they would combine some groups together sometimes, but we booked a private boat! It is really a nightmare, they left us!
Great afternoon of fishing. Caught sea bass and striped bass and blues. Lots of fun. Captain and mate fun and great to work with. They fileted up all the fish. Even tried to teach me to filet a fish.

Drianne created stunning floral arrangements for our wedding at Jedediah Hawkins Inn this past September! She personally guided us in choosing a color palette for the bridal bouquet that matched our vision perfectly. We had so much fun meeting her in person at her farm and mocking up the bridal bouquet. The flower arch she designed for our ceremony was breathtaking, and she decorated our reception venue so elegantly. Drianne’s warmth and attention to detail made for a delightful experience. Thank you, Drianne and North Fork Flower Farm! Photo credit: Jesse Pafundi, Golden Hour Studio
We worked with Al at North Fork Flowers for our baby shower, and the arrangements were absolutely stunning. They created an elegant mix of blooms, including beautiful blue and purple flowers that perfectly matched our theme. The setup was flawless, and we love that they source locally rather than importing internationally. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience- highly recommend!
North Fork Flower Farm, in conjunction with Rites of Spring, hosted a free concert featuring two exceptionally talented artists. The event took place in their brand-new building, which they designed to showcase their flowers for sale. The upstairs was designed so that cut flowers could dry out without going moldy, and while preserving their natural color. After the concert, food and soft drinks were served, and a tour of the grounds was given by the owners. The space could be used for any private event. The farm is just off the highway and it is easy to miss the entrance. Google Maps took me directly to their building.
Using NFFF for my wedding was one of the best decisions I made. Drianne is a legend--so kind, helpful, and supremely knowledgable. She worked with me for MONTHS to help bring my vision to life. She also helped me source everything including vases and votive candles. Their flower selection is stunning and I love their sustainable ethos. I was also pleasantly surprised by their pricing--very affordable for what we got (especially in the realm of weddings)!! If I had to plan the wedding all over again there's a few things I'd change, but florals are not one of them. We got SOO many compliments from our guests. They also did an amazing job with our ofrenda and our chuppah!! If you're planning a wedding on Long Island, USE NFFF!!!!!! YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT. Much love to Drianne and her team--thank you so much for making our wedding look so magical <3
If you are looking for the most beautiful flowers long island has to offer, you’ve come to the right place. We wanted to create an authentic feel for our North Fork wedding and NFFF delivered the freshest flowers we had ever seen. We had the opportunity to hand pick flowers for our arrangements right from the farm. It was so special to have our wedding be filled with beautiful flowers grown just a few minutes from our venue. Drianne was an absolute joy to work with, and helped bring our vision to life in a way that made wedding flowers fun and not stressful. We felt in such good hands working with such a knowledgeable and kind team at NFFF. Would highly, highly recommend to anyone in need of florals!
My husband and I chose to work with North Fork Flower Farm for our wedding in June and we could not have been happier! Drianne is just wonderful - kind, knowledgeable, accommodating and meticulous and she made all of our floral dreams come true! The quality of the flowers was excellent and all of our guests commented on how absolutely gorgeous they were. The peonies, especially, were out of this world! We also asked for a grounded floral arch for our ceremony on the beach and were blown away by how it came out - the construction, the detail, the level of care that went into it - it really was something special. We're so very grateful!
So thrilled I chose North Fork Flower farm for my wedding! The blooms were stunning and made for unique and colorful arrangements. Drianne and her team were a dream to work with - I don’t know much about flowers so I was thankful for Drianne’s guidance. My bouquet was exactly what I had envisioned. I’m so happy, thank you!
Great spot to get a custom bouquet. You pick the flowers and put it together. They have a large selection, friendly staff and helpful advice.
