Ice cream shop
Tours
Iconic Vermont-based ice cream parlor chain, known for its creative, cleverly named flavors.

The factory tour was so much fun, and the ice cream scoops (an extra cost) are absolutely huge!!! The tours are $6/ adult and $1/child - advance reservations are HIGHLY recommended (especially if you plan to visit during summer or a holiday weekend). A visit to the Flavor Graveyard is an absolute must! (This is not part of the tour, and is open and accessible for free.)
The guided 30-minute tour starts with a short and quirky video about Ben and Jerry's history and company values. Then you'll head to a glass-enclosed upper deck overlooking the production floor. Be aware that live production isn't always happening, so you may not see the factory in full swing. You have a chance to get a free sample of the flavor of the day. While the tour is short, there's plenty to do on the grounds. You can browse the gift shop for exclusive merchandise and flavors. The most popular highlight for many is the Flavor Graveyard, a hillside cemetery for discontinued flavors. There's also a playground for kids and picnic areas, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy ice cream.
We had a fun time with the 15-min tour (6 dollars per person and you have to book in advance)! The decorations inside the shop are cute. We didn't buy in the store or the icecream shop, but it's good to know that they don't ask for tips in the shop. Very fun activity for families with kids or a school field trip.
Sweet & Fun Ben & Jerry’s Factory Tour! A must for ice cream lovers! The tour was short but packed with fun facts, a peek at production, and of course, a delicious sample. Loved the Flavor Graveyard and gift shop too. The staff was upbeat, the vibe was joyful, and the ice cream? Perfect as always. Whether you’re a die-hard fan or just looking for a fun stop in Vermont, this tour is 100% worth it. Don’t forget to snap a pic with the giant flavor tub outside! 5 scoops out of 5—would tour (and taste) again! 🍦😊
We actually had a very good experience here. We didn’t have to pre-register for the (overpriced for what it was) tour and our tour only had 6 people on it so it was very personal. It didn’t hurt that our tour guide was clever and engaging. The next tour was much more full and their guide not so great. The tour has been well-described in other reviews so I won’t go into it. Gift shop = way overpriced. Way, way overpriced. You can buy ice cream there but it, too, is overpriced. Rather get it from a grocery store. I enjoyed the clever signs in the flavor graveyard.
The Ben and Jerry's factory tour was about 30 minutes: a video, an overview of the production line and the flavor lab (sampling of one newer flavor). The ice cream flavors graveyard has no lighting at all. It was a little tricky to find it in the dark (it's very dark by 5:00 pm in November), a little bit lighting will be helpful and safer for the visitors. It would be nice to see a showcase of all the available flavors in the market. Overall, it's a fun family activity.
We had an amazing time visiting the Ben & Jerry's Factory. My favorite part of the tour was trying Marshmellow sky. It was tasty. Hope I get to purchase it in stores in the future. Our tour guide was amazing and knowledgeable as well.
This was a bucket list experience for a long time now. While I can't say I regularly eat Ben and Jerry's, I have bought and tried many of their flavors over the years. It is seriously good ice cream. This place is definitely a tourist location so be prepared for it being busy. While the factory tour itself is a little less than impressive, it was still neat to go though it. I justl love the quirkiness of Ben and Jerry's.

Grab a cup of coffee from the roaster itself. Great atmosphere and food. Relaxed environment that you are able to work in. Give the quiche and specialty coffee drinks a try, you won't be disappointed.
The cafe is part of a train station and is separate from the counter where you can actually just order coffee to go. It is such a nice building and easy to get to. The coffee was great and the staff was pleasant. Definitely worth stopping in.
I have to admit I knew nothing about this company other than I've seen them in grocery stores. I was passing through and saw it as a place to see. I pulled in to grab some coffee. They have a lot of information on the walls educating you about their product. I was impressed with their facility. Glad I took time today.
Uniquely located in a train station. It includes a free coffee tasting station and also a cafe for more coffee or to grab quick bites. Also, the coffee is GOOD!
Very friendly and informative staff. Learn a lot about Green Mountain blends and enjoyed their samples. The only thing that would have made it better was a plant tour. B b
Sad to see no more tour or coffee samples. But my kids only likes the names plants. The gentlemen was like a depressed eeyore.
Great latte! Love the coffee plants all around. It's good to see a company care about our environment! Great job. Keep it up Green Mountain Coffee!

Lovely shop with beautiful glass work. Viewing room behind glass to wash glassblowing process. No public restroom, wheelchairs have access but not a safe environment for either the person or the glassware due to staging. Prices vary, but are $20.00 and above...also sells local jewelry. Worth the visit!
My favorite spot in the Waterbury/Stowe tourist lineup. Glen is amazing! So talented! Everything in the gallery is made by him. I’ve been stopping in this studio since I was a kid. I’m still in awe each time. The glass pieces are beautiful, artist, and well crafted. But the highlight is watching Glen in the studio blowing glass and creating!
I recently took a trip to Vermont with my husband and we had the privilege of see this master craftsman at work. The studio was very easily accessible and the studio was beautifully decorated with all his work. There was a viewing window with seating to watch him as he worked. Very friendly staff. A must see if you are in STOWE VT. I have a new appreciation for glass after seeing him work
You have the opportunity to watch them in action making the items that are for sale in the store. The staff are very friendly and are willing to chat about the process and answer questions. The store is full of beautiful pieces. Highly recommend stopping by if you are in the area. We had a great time today.
This guy is very talented. They have a viewing area to watch him work and the women behind the counter was also the guide. She told us what he was doing each step of the way. They have a room full of glass blown things that he has made for sale.
Amazing glass pieces, and you get to watch the artists at work!
Worth stopping by if you are in the area. Amazing to watch pieces of glass turned into a work of art.
Amazing!!! Never seen glass blowing before and the owner of this store knows what he is doing. We got to watch him work and you can tell he really enjoys what he does. The completed pieces in the shop were beautiful. Bought my sister a bday present from and and it just made her day.

We were looking forward to checking this place out during our trip to VT. They did NOT disappoint. Cucumber appetizer was amazing and we tried the "special" roasted carrot one as well. My wife ordered a blue burger (added bacon) and I had the fried chicken sandwich. I told Cullen (our terrific server) that it was one of the best 🐔 sandwiches I've ever had. Duck fat fried are a "can't miss." Cocktails were also tasty. Just wished we had room for dessert as they had a chocolate chip skillet cookie that used bacon drippings rather than butter. We will definitely be back if we're ever in the area. A+
The food here was really solid. The crushed cucumber salad was fresh and flavorful. The duck fat fries were a highlight, perfectly crisp. The brisket and wings were also very good. The only downside was the service. We waited a long time before anyone came to take our order, which was frustrating. Still, once the food arrived, it was worth the wait. Overall, a good spot with good food.
Solid smokehouse + Brewery. Stopped by for lunch this past weekend, and as expected, the place was packed. The main restaurant didn’t have patio seating (only the brewery next door did), so we ended up ordering takeout from the restaurant and eating it at the brewery’s patio. The brewery menu was smaller, so we mixed and matched between the two. Got the fried ribs from the restaurant and the brisket from the brewery. The brisket came in thick slices and it looked a bit dry at first. Thankfully, most pieces were juicy and tender. The ribs were just alright, a bit dry and too lean for my taste. My favorite thing was the mac and cheese. They topped it with a generous layer of cornbread crumbs, which added a light sweetness and crunch. Not exactly the glory item on a smokehouse menu, but it’s definitely worth adding on.
What a fabulous restaurant! The ProPig brewery is right next door too. From minute one, the friendly and lovely young hostess greeted us with an update on timing. The online waiting list was awesome-we could use Yelp to track it. Then we were seated and given waters immediately and the amazing waitress took our orders soon thereafter. She as so helpful with my food issues! Food was delicious. I had a green salad with maple Dijon vinaigrette and smoked chicken thighs - excellent! My husband had brisket that was amazing. Great vibe although pretty loud. Cool seating right up front with big windows too!
Absolutely loved our experience at Prohibition Pig! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a great mix of rustic charm and lively energy. The food was outstanding—everything from the smoked meats to the locally sourced sides was flavorful and perfectly cooked. Their in-house craft beers were a real highlight, especially the APA. The service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. It’s the kind of place where you instantly feel at home. Whether you're just passing through Waterbury or staying a while, this is a must-visit spot. We'll definitely be back!
One of my favorite places to eat in the waterbury/ stowe area. Food is excellent and the bar has an amazing selection. Even better if youre a whiskey lover. Service is typically excellent though some of the more inexperienced staff may have you banging your head against the table with their maturity level.
We were excited to try Prohibition Pig given its reputation in town, but unfortunately, the experience didn’t live up to the hype. The hostess who seated us was exceptionally unwelcoming—she barely acknowledged us, offered no greeting or pleasantries, and made us feel like an afterthought rather than guests. That set the tone for what was an overall impersonal dining experience. Service throughout felt detached, lacking warmth or engagement. As for the food, it was mediocre at best. The BBQ, in particular, fell short—especially disappointing given their claim to match North Carolina standards. In a small town like this, Prohibition Pig may be one of the more well-known spots, but in our view, it’s nothing to write home about.
What a great place. Was coming home from Stowe and and a friend recommended we stop here - wife had the ribs and I had the corned beef sandwich. We also has their Pilsner (awesome!) and a mixed cocktail. Cozy place, friendly staff, great food and drink...easy free parking on the street and small public lot in the rear. 2 sections - pub and resturant and just brewery. Gift shop in the brewery. Was raining for us but they have outside seating with solo stoves that look great.

Friendly, helpful staff and excellent accommodations ! The entire place was clean and beautiful. We stayed in a cabin which was comfortable and quiet. Very nice ! Went for a six mile hike and I didn't see a single piece of trash anywhere in the campground or on the Stevenson trail ! So nice to have that where there has been no trace of man. Rented kayaks for the afternoon and the equipment was newer and in great condition. Cost of the getaway was very reasonable ! You will love it here ! Everyone was quiet and pleasant in the campground. No radio noise, and only one barking dog for an hour or so. Relaxed around the fire to the sound of bullfrogs and woke up to the sound of a loon on the water. Even had a chipmunk visit and snag a piece of cheese popcorn 😁 Exquisite !
Little River State Park, our campsite was located above Waterbury Reservoir with a broken view through the trees, a big man-made lake in the area. It has very nice campsites we had number 5. The showers were OK a little old, but the water was warm. The staff was nice and helpful. We went on a wonderful 6 mile hike from our campsite up along the creek then cutting across a spur trail due to a trail closure and then down a trail/ the road. On the way up there were 15 different poems posted along the trail. They were all beautiful poems about the area by local poets and even some famous pieces. The road trail had history markers along it. Had dinner, built a fire, and just enjoyed the out of doors.
Vermont State parks are top notch, and Little River is no exception! Updated bathrooms with single stall showers and stunning views of the lake and mountains is all you need. Campsites are clean too
Beautiful place to end my trip after hiking during the day. The lake was amazing and the site's had a good amount of privacy. Quiet at night.
Nice mostly level sites. Beautiful Reservoir! Bathrooms are like all Maine State Parks - Old Antiquated, but full blast warm water. Could knock off 1 Star, but so what is a perfect shower worth? The MTB in Stowe is the best, and here also decent to good
The Waterbury reservoir is a treasure. Even on perfect summer weekdays, it’s easy to find parking, peaceful, and the views are breathtaking. Both Little River and Waterbury Reservoir parks offer easy SUP/kayak access, but we typically lean toward the Little River boat launch to avoid traffic on Rte 100.
A little crowded, but that’s to be expected in a such a high-demand campground. Very well maintained with a variety of site options and easy access to both the reservoir and the dam.
We stayed one night at a lean-to site in August, and we had a wonderful experience. The staff were very nice and friendly. The site was clean and quiet. The beach was especially impressive. The water was very clear, and thanks to the steady flow in the lake, there were no floating algae or debris. It was a peaceful and comfortable stay overall, and this is definitely a place we would love to come back to in the future.

A must stop when rolling through Waterbury. Amazing selection of local and international brews. New layout even has a taproom serving some heavy-hitter collabs and even things in from NYC (Other Half) and have seen a few Tree House. Staff are top-notch + happy to help.
The beer selection is decent, it’s nice to be able to grab a single. The wine selection is great. Feels like it’s meant for tourists and not locals. We stopped for a draft beer and the bartender licked the spilled beer off of his fingers in front of us before touching the glass with those same fingers. Gross and awkward.
This placed used to be super fire. Epic beer selection. Now it's alright. Lackluster lambic selection and nothing super fresh in the IPA department. Used to be a staple of my trip to VT. Disappointing.
Great spot for burying single bags or sitting down for a pint
Great selection of NA Beer and if you love beer this place is the Mecca!!
Great selection of Vermont Beer, probably the best in the state. Gets Heady and Focal Banger on Wednesday’s. Tons of Burlington Beer Company. They sell singles as well, so you don’t have to commit to a 4-pack. A little pricey, especially for the singles. Staff is helpful. I’m a grumpy old man so I find it annoying when they pounce on me immediately after I step into the store. It’s a franchise, which surprises me. Why pay someone a fee to learn how to put beer on a shelf? But you can’t argue with the results.
One of the best craft beer selections in the entire state of Vermont, and that's saying a lot. They give the option to try so much by buying individual cans and/or bottles, and the staff is super friendly and helpful. Not only that, they have a legendary selection of 3 Fonteinen!
Excellent selection. I would highly recommend stopping in to collect Vermont brews for anyone traveling through the area. We were able to get Alchemist, Lawson's, Fiddlehead, and more. Cheers!

Cloudy but not in the clouds. Monroe to summit and around summit to bypass which is side of the mountain nearly horizontal rock scramble for a bit until it is a nice trail. Challenging and rewarding. We spotted the Bomber wing easily on the way down. Wonderful hike!
We went via Forest city to long trail and descended via burrows trail. The trail is little wet, muddy and buggy at lower and higher élévation respectively. We went counterclockwise took the Forest city trail to long trail up to the summit of camel hump. There are excellent views along the way up. This route is more steeper than the burrows trail. Hence would recommend to go counterclockwise. The dog did well, there were some sketchy parts where it was little difficult for the dog but nothing too serious. The summit from the top have outstanding 360 unobstructive views. The parking is limited and we were lucky to find parking as we entered when some of the hikers were finishing their hikes. However, there are two parking lots which are 0.5 miles away from each other. Overall a great hike
Nice hike, more moderate I guess, new to hiking. Definitely can do it by foot with no special gear. Dress for the summit, it's colder and much more windy there. Bring plenty of water. Very clean, I noticed no litter, credit to all the hikers for policing their refuse. Wear good sturdy shoes, tons of rocks and shaky footing. I had a blast as a first timer and will definitely do this one again. Enjoy!
If you are up for a challenge and love the rush of amazing views then this is the Vermont hike for you. Expansive views to Lake Champlain and beyond to the west and New Hampshire to the east. The trail is moderately difficult to navigate and only challenging as you reach the granite summit. Hiking poles are helpful at this point. Plan to spend a good amount of time at the summit and bring something warm because it can be much cooler and windier as you approach the summit. Enjoy❤️
Awesome park in the heart of the green mountains. Can't get more of Vermont than that!
Camel’s Hump trail via Mount Abraham and Lincoln Peak. 7 miles hike, beautiful weather and amazing views once you reach the top of Mount Abraham, it’s a very challenging hike with steep rocks and muddy, lots of spiderwebs and cute living things. Plenty of beautiful fungi as well.
I hiked Monroe trail to the top of Camels Hump Vermont's 3rd highest peak. It's a great trail with some amazing views at the top. If you are planning to hike here make sure you get to the parking lot early because it fills up fast.
Nice park with a nice trail and some little waterfalls under wooden walk bridges. The trail was a little bit difficult for older people. There is a need for more signage and also the couple of signs that do exist should be larger and clearer. We had a hard time finding it way up the gravel road.

The owner (who is sadly retiring this year!) was so helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly! I will definitely only be buying my tea here for as long as he is open! Hopefully he finds a new owner who is just as passionate and knowledgeable about tea as he is!
Was there a long time ago. Owner was very gracious and knowledgeable and took his time explaining different teas to help me decide. From NJ, will be up again in 10 days to buy some more. Tea is excellent.
I love Vermont Liberty Tea company! I was last there almost 10 years ago, bought the fruit and lavender rooibos and it was delicious! So delicious, that I finally got back there and bought more today, but I thought about it often while I was out of it :)
John has the tea game on lockdown! He has the best blends imaginable and the blue tins tie everything 2gether! Stop in and chat with John. Me and my beautiful wife Maria loved popping in and chatting. John is very knowledgeable and can answer most tea related ?'s.
Very friendly owner and always has fresh cookies to try the tea with!

I am a little late in writing this review, however I wanted to thank David especially for such warm, welcoming accommodations when my husband and I stayed last year in October. The Lotus is located in beautiful Bolton Valley and is nestled at the top of the mountain surrounded by the reds, golds, and fiery oranges of the trees in autumn. It was peaceful, beautiful, and clean. We were welcomed by the beautiful stone fireplace with oversized cozy couches and then led around the property. Our room was clean and had a wood-burning stove inside which was perfect for the Vermont chill in early October. I also took advantage of the amenities like the hot tub and sauna. The spring water was delicious, and I enjoyed the coconut milk in my coffee in the morning. I practice yoga, so having a space was a treat while my husband dozed in front of the fireplace. We were about 15 minutes from Waterbury and Stowe so the location was ideal, because we weren’t surrounded by crowds on the busy three-day weekend. I had the opportunity converse with David in front of the fireplace during downtime, and his openness was soothing. Overall, it was an awesome retreat that I would recommend to persons who want to visit Vermont but also want space from the tourism.
My partner and I were really looking forward to a rejuvenating weekend, and really wanted to like this place. The people were nice and it seems like the intention is there, but we had a very disappointing and uncomfortable experience. I'll Start with the pros: we really enjoyed our couples massage, the therapists were skilled and very nice, although they did discuss our "confidential" intake forms in front of other guests in the lobby which was uncomfortable. Breakfast was really good, the granola and pancakes were great. Nice fireplace atmosphere in main area. The cons: Stained (and I mean heavily) bedding and chair on our room, the hot tub and sauna were not working one of the days, shower did not get hot (although it seems they figured that out). Decks are not shoveled so they are inaccessable, no food options aside from single menu that is served at designated time, walls are paper thin- we basically chatted with our neighbors through the wall one morning. Maybe an option for people looking to crash after a ski day, but do not if you are looking for a clean, professional, relaxing spa retreat.
My kids and I loved this place! If you're looking for a fancy hotel this isn't the place for you. This place has more of a bed and breakfast feel. The rooms are simple and straight forward but very warm, homie, and welcoming. The whole place has a bohemian healing vibe. The owner was super nice and welcoming. I will be returning. The only complaint I had is that the walkway wasn't shoveled and I have two small children, other than that this place was awesome!
Not as advertised. Dirty rooms. Shady unexpected expenses. The breakfast was not included. The shuttle service to the trail head turned out to be expensive and not included. The yoga studio was unusable due to a "sewing project" for an employee. The food was nothing special. The kombucha bar was vacant. The rooms were very dirty, the carpet seemed like it hadn't been vacuumed in months along with the hallway. There was barely any body wash. Towels felt rough. There was even a tip jar next to the tea bags. Coming from a server who respects tipping. The vibe was off, we were hoping to meet chill like minded folks. We were hiking the long trail and wish we saved some money and slept in the woods that night. Over priced, and they were always looking for a way to up charge you, at least charge hostel rates if thats your service.
Had a great stay at Lotus! All of the staff were accommodating and kind! Ricky was incredibly informative and welcoming upon arrival and founder Krysta was very kind and helpful( especially when our car got stuck, she pushed and drove it out like a champ..thank again!)The atmosphere was incredibly peaceful and relaxing, giving off a very positive and welcoming energy! Wish we had more time to enjoy and take part in their yoga classes and variety of massages! (Just means we’ll have to return)
It supposed to be a very comfortable stay, but it turned out as the worse place we have ever stayed. First of all they gave us a dirty room. When I say dirty, it means that the room wasn't prepared for the stay at all. After our complain, the staff apologized politely and changed the room. In both rooms there were no shampoos, conditioners, even no soap! Instead of liquid soap there was only water! The room was cold, electric heater didn't work, and we weren't provided with blanket until we asked. As it was presented in some site that they have a continental breakfast, but it turned out that they have the only vegan breakfast. We are not vegans, but okay. The day we wanted to give them a chance and try the breakfast, in the morning nobody was in the kitchen to help us with that, and we just went to resort that located 5 minutes away. And the last but not least is absolutely "no walls" between rooms. You could hear even if somebody is farting. And I'm not kidding when I say that. We could not sleep for the all time we stayed there, because someone was talking, someone was listening to the music, etc. We could hear EVERYTHING! And woke up in the middle of the night, because of that. Overall, I don't recommend this place to anyone even though the staff was pleasant and nice, they are very unorganized. Im still questioning how they have the rating they have.
I was very diaspointed with my stay here. For the price especially. First I was brought upstairs into a room that wasn't ready. Then I was brought to a different room with no lock. I was confused when I looked out the window and had no view because someone went out of their way to call me, months ago and offer me an upgrade with 'a better view of the mountain' my reservation was also for a room with a balcony. The next night when I showed a member of the staff the email and discussed my confusion she had us moved and told me she would look at getting dinner comped. Two days later she did not remember this conversation at all. Their hot tub is out of order, there is no outdoor pool ( or maybe there is and no one would tell me about it) their Kombucha bar is out of order. No mention at any point of any 'spa services'. After wandering around the empty in for a while I did manage to find someone to wake up the yoga instructor and that was fun. Constantly felt like I was chasing people to ask for things like mugs for the tea and about literally any of the services they offer They also went out of their way to tell me the place was ski in ski out for Bolton valley. By this they meant, we are welcome to get into our cars and drive up the road to the resort. That is not ski in ski out. I was very excited and very misled. Considering there was no tv or amenities and I paid full price for practically every meal ( they did comp breakfast once after I pushed) not really sure why I paid so much for this place. Very misleading
Lovely location, friendly staff, and cheap summer rates. Rooms are no-frills (no fridge, etc.) but very comfortable. Knocked off one star as the Airbnb photos were slightly misleading (building was slightly more run-in than expected), but still very happy with the overall experience. Would definitely stay here again!

I love this store. The detail and quality is impressive. Have been a few times and always buy some gifts and something for myself! They have a lot of affordable choices like necklaces and ornaments. Dog friendly.
This is a wonderful gift shop with truly artistic and hand made artisan pieces. Mostly made here in Vermont. Their pewter pieces are amazing and great quality souvenirs. This is not your run of the mill gift shop with the same stuff made in China you see everywhere else. This is top quality and unique artisan work.
Awesome place for knick knack stuff. Speciality gifts as well. Love it and their neoghbour.
Very nice! Great gifts!
DAnforth Pewter is Vermont made. This is a small, but very nice outlet for the Danforth products. They have wonderful Christmas ornaments that can make nice gifts and/or become family heirlooms. I have had several of the beautiful oil lamps - they have pewter jewelry, wonderful keychains, lamps, serving items, vases, candle holders and snuffers - if you want a special gift for yourself or loved one - - small or more dear - you will find something here if you love pewter - Danforth makes timeless, lovely designs. ALSO this outlet has easy parking and is right next to Champlain Chocolates outlet and the great, Cabot outlet with its huge selection of free samples and their best cheese!
Pretty cool shop. They exhibit local artist and work. Price is reasonable. They also have some antiques
I agree the gentleman who works in this store is exceptionally friendly, which is a nice change. Love the pewter.
Great place to get a gift. No Pushy sales people
