My wife, daughter, son-in-law, and I booked a guided UTV tour with this vendor in late September and had a blast!! After checking in at their Lodge, which is east of Willow, and receiving a safety brief, which included the dos and do nots with respect to safe UTV operation, we suited up (wet gear provided as wanted), and were on our way.. We spent nearly four hours exploring all parts of Hatcher Pass to include several stream crossings, rock climbing, and breaks just to take it all in.. Our guide, whose name escapes me at the moment, was fantastic.. He was very versed in the history of the area and provided for a very safe, yet fun excursion.. I would recommend this operator to anyone looking to have a great adventure.. The weather didn't cooperate with us very well but despite it all, we had a fantastic time!!
We had so much fun! Super flexible and easy booking. The directions made it easy to find and they had gear ready for us to use. All our dogs were super nice and did a great job on the trails! Highly recommend!
My son and I had an absolute blast with Snowhook Adventure Guides of Alaska! From the moment we arrived, everyone was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed learning about the dogs and the history. We loved our guide, Andrew, who took us on a thrilling ride up and down and all around. It was a great time-so pretty too! I also loved that they offered winter gear for us to wear. Highly recommend this place for a unique, fun experience.
Me & hubs had first ever dog sledding & snowmobile experience here and it was GREAT! All pups are awesome, my husband who is not a dog person became one here (yayyy) dogs are super friendly. All credit goes to Justin who was the dog musher with us, he’s just awesome. Any first timers or love dog sledding MIST visit this place.
Perfect experience! Only ~1h drive from Anchorage. We did the ice fishing +dog sledding combo. The whole lake is only our one group - 6 people. And the weather is amazing. We did not even use the tent / heater the guide prepared. We drilled our own fishing hole. Saw Denali during the day. And dog sledding is way more exciting than I had expected. It’s more like a roller coaster in the wonderland that one can never reach with traditional transportations
I highly recommend booking an experience with this company! Our group did the northern lights snowmobile tour one night, then came back the next day to do the dog sledding adventure. Our guides were so welcoming, knowledgeable, and passionate about what they do. While the snowmobile tour was amazing (and a ton of fun), the dog sledding adventure was truly unforgettable. Thank you for the amazing memories ❤️
We had an AMAZING experience dogsledding!! Our guide, Andrew, was awesome! We learned sooo much about the dogs, their training and love for this sport. The dedication each staff has shines through with ALL staff❤️ We will DEFINITELY be back to dogsled and next time add snowmobiling!! The cabin was roomy and warm (love the pellet stove). The northern lights were dancing…sooo amazing!!
The only way to experience Alaska! I went with my daughter and 5 year old grandson. We’re from sunny Hawaii! Let’s just say that we had a blast exploring Alaska the way it’s supposed to be experienced! It was freezing cold and the sun was disappearing. I must say that we had the best guide who took us on a bucket-list adventure on a dog sled - being pulled by Alaskan Huskies - through the snow covered wilderness. Snowhook Adventures provided the winter clothing gear to keep us warm and comfortable throughout the experience. The place is amazing! The staff are super friendly and very accommodating! The dogs - wish we could have brought them home with us. Needless to say, we truly had a great and wonderful experience! Thanks Snowhook!

We had such a wonderful time flying with Mallory this week!! He was an incredible pilot, so much fun and a unforgettable experience with once in a lifetime views. It felt so personal and special to us that we would highly recommend them to any friends or family. Our next trip to Alaska will definitely include a flight with them again. Thank you so much!!
My husband surprised our kids and I with a glacier tour. It was something I may have felt nervous to do, but Walt was a great pilot and we felt comfortable and safe. Would absolutely go again. It was amazing.
I cannot speak highly enough of this glacier tour and Walt. We felt completely safe and comfortable. It was incredible, by far the highlight of my trip to Alaska! We were even able to see Mt. McKinley because it was such a clear day :)
This company is so easy to work with and our trip was so enjoyable! The views were breath taking, and the history and stories that Mallory told were wonderful. Next time we are in Alaska we will take another trip!
Flight was unbelievable and Mallory my captain was an awesome guy! I 10/10 recommend this. I’m a 33 year old man and felt like a was a little kid when we swooped within 50 of the ground and flew next to the glacier.
Highlight of our entire trip to Alaska! Thank you Walt for an experience of a lifetime! I felt safe and comfortable the entire flight. He’s a great pilot and awesome tour guide.
Came to Legends Aviation to get my tail wheel endorsement. Mallory was my CFI and we had a great time. He is very easy to get along with and is quite patient with his students. He was able to write me off for my endorsement in just a few hours of training. Highly recommend!
We are so fortunate to have picked Legends Aviation for our son's tail dragger lesson. Mallory's preflight, in air, and post flight instruction was perfect for our 17 year old student pilot. He was able to execute take offs and landings in addition to having spectacular scenery. Walt and Betty were great too! Thank you!
