This little spot is so fun. They have a soda bar where you can create your own sodas and they display a wide assortment of candies to tempt the inner child. My inner child wanted a piece of everything displayed, which would be ridiculous. The assortment is huge! Once my inner sugar monster was put in time-out, it received a praline and a grape sprite as its soda. The shop offered a great chance to walk off the sugar. Spacious and Christmas themed it offered many cute gifts some with pretty original sayings. I did snag a soft Alaska sweatshirt. The soft green was too hard to resist. They offer several local crafts as well. All in all a nice spot to enjoy.
Always a fun and enjoyable experience. Santa walks around to chat with everyone and sits in his chair so people can sit on his lap. I would strongly encourage everyone to go for a visit and support shop. The drinks and snacks are good and service is fast and friendly. Besides this is a good way to see if you're on the naughty list.
Neat store to stop at to see just about anything Christmas related. Giant Santa statue to take pictures with just outside the store. Lots of fudge, ice cream and other snacks available. Just about any ornament you could want is here. Make sure to get the elf bell, it was only 7.99 and a unique item from this store. They had a Santa you could take pictures or videos at no charge.
This is a beautiful store. We visited Santa, did some shopping and enjoyed all of the decor ✨️ I loved all of the huge Christmas trees that were decorated. A very warm atmosphere. We bought a few trinkets for our family members and friends. I also loved the letters to Santa on the walls.
There really is a place called the north pole and it’s in Alaska. Like 30 minutes away from Fairbanks you can find your way at the Santa Claus house, a 365 day a year gift shop/Santa house where you can send letters to Santa at North Pole or even buy a piece of a deed of the north pole, you can’t miss it because the town has poles dressed in Candy Cane poles definitely worth a trip if you’re out here great place to see the northern lights Definitely come here to visit Santa! So much merchandise here and handmade desserts, Christmas items and more
Beautiful selection of Christmas stuff. A very huge store with all and everything Christmas and Santa. You can also send hand written letters which is sent from Santa clause house address with the cool stamp and seal. Right next to the house is a reindeer farm where you can pet them for 20-30 mins. The team was very warm, helpful and happy to answer all questions around them. There were total 9 reindeers
When in Rome.. Who can say they actually visited Santa at his workshop at the North Pole, right?! Although more a Christmas themed shop, it's still worth the stop and get a picture with Santa, see the workshop and reindeers. The shop itself has all you can think of themed Christmas stuff, the reindeers can be fed for a fee.
Beautiful selection of Christmas decoration and gifts. There is also a place with delicious chocolate cakes and truffels 😋 Right next door you find some reindeer. They also offer short tours where you can feed them.

Chena Lake Recreation Area is a beautiful spot and definitely a great place to view the Northern Lights—when the conditions are right. We visited recently and were excited based on the # Aurora Tracker, which showed excellent viewing conditions with clear skies. However, within just 30 minutes, the forecast flipped to low visibility and cloudy skies. I completely understand that weather in Alaska can be unpredictable, but it’s frustrating when a tool like the #AuroraTracker—which many travelers rely on to plan their nights—shifts so drastically without warning. If the data used for these forecasts is this unstable, then it’s worth revisiting the system or at least setting expectations more clearly. We planned our viewing based on this tracker, and while no tool is ever 100% accurate, it should at least provide a reasonably consistent baseline. Unfortunately, in our experience, it didn’t. If you’re heading out to catch the Aurora Borealis, just be aware that this tracker might not be as reliable as it seems.
*** As you can see there is dog poop all over the beach! Everything else looks nice but kids are playing and stepping on the poop. It’s disguasting and someone should clean it up ASAP
Great place to get out and hike and enjoy nature.
I came here 4times this summer to paddle. It's the only lake that's near ish from me and big enough not to have to bump into other kayakers or peddlers also you don't have to worry about boat encounters. Just lovely enough to enjoy hot days and convenient.
This is my favorite place in the entire world, the winds are super strong at night in the winter and can turn your hot car cold but it’s extremely peaceful, you can think without being interrupted and you can hike in the snow and feel alive with the wind on your skin and the silence
Beautiful park outside of Fairbanks. We're dry camping in the Lake Loop, which has large, spacious sites. Bring your own drinking water as there is none available here.
Nice area, wide campground roads for big rigs and only $20 a night. Dump station on way out but requires code to unlock. Sites large and pretty flat, dry camping.
Our family favorite for summer time swimming and BBQs. Love to fish and roast some hot dogs and marshmallows. The views are gorgeous and we definitely love the beach like feel. I would recommend anyone who wants to relax, this is the place.

As someone who has been practicing photography for 3 years, I was pretty sure I had the basics down and could easily take a picture of the Aurora. Time and time again, I was failing with underexposed, blurry Aurora shots. My husband surprised me with a workshop with Sean and I was absolutely thrilled with the experience. Even as an "intermediate" shooter, Sean's lesson helped me tremendously with the basics, helping me finally understand things like hyperfocal distance and how to track the Northern Lights. He was great about answering any questions I had and was very informative. But then, results speak for themselves. This was the very first night I shot the Aurora after Sean's class. 5 stars service and I highly recommend the workshop to anyone interested in Aurora photography, no matter how much experience you have with a camera.
We had an amazing experience viewing the Aurora and capturing the moment with Sean! It was a fun evening/night and we are super pleased with the portraits. I highly recommend capturing your experience under the Aurora with a portrait. You will have these portraits forever to document that amazing phenomenon called the Aurora Borealis. Rest assured that Sean is very knowledgeable about the Aurora and photography. I'm sure you will be as pleased with the results of your portrait session as we are!
We chose to schedule some pictures because we knew we were coming to Alaska in celebration of traveling to my 50th state. We wanted to see the northern lights as the pinnacle of the experience, but we had heard that it was hard to predict when the lights would show and hard to catch them on a camera. We didn't want to miss out on the opportunity to capture our adventure so we found Sean Kurdziolek photography and decided to make an appointment. This turned out to be the best decision we could have made. Sean and Amanda were wonderful to work with as they told us exactly what to expect and were so kind and helpful throughout the process. The first night was a bust since the lights didn't show, but Sean was out there working so hard all night just to come back and do it again the following night because he knew we were on a deadline with our departure just 1 day away. We so appreciated his diligence in taking care of us and making sure everything was perfect for our pictures. They turned out beautifully and we could not be happier! Would highly recommend this experience to all!
Sean and Amanda are absolutely incredible! They make the perfect team and make sure your experience is nothing short of unforgettable. We are so grateful of the opportunity to have our Aurora Portraits taken by Sean! I can't wait to hang our amazing wall art in our new home!
We have enjoyed working with Sean Kurdziolek Photography from the planning all the way until we received our final product. The willingness of the Kurdzioleks to work with our budget and our timeline to make our wish a reality, despite weather and travel concerns. Due to the holidays, a few production related delays happened that were out of their and our hands. They were always quick to communicate any changes, hear our concerns, and worked tirelessly to ensure we were satisfied with our portraits. I would recommend them to anyone seeking to capture the beauty of the Alaskan Aurora with their family.
I took Sean’s workshop on How to Photograph the Northern Lights. It was an awesome class! I learned so much in his class that I feel confident that I will be able to capture that elusive photo of the Aurora. He is a great teacher... I highly recommend that you take his class !!! Lisa Daley
Sean and his lovely wife, Amanda, have been an absolute joy to work with. My experience with them has been unlike any other. They're professional, detail oriented and really go the extra mile to make you feel like part of the family. I highly recommend them if you're looking for an aurora or family portrait photographer.
Excellent customer service. Our portrait was destroyed. FedEx left it outside. They didn't hesitate to make it right even though it was not their fault.👍

Decent size, staff is friendly and we all had a blast! Go karts were small but we still had fun!! 10/10 will recommend and will be back!
Super fun!! Prices are a little much considering the shape the place is in.but over all a great time.
Very disappointed with this place. I paid for an hour of entertainment when we walked in. Couldn’t use the laser tag system. It was discovered to be broken. I was told that we could use go karts for an hour. That was fine until my kids did one race and I was told that the cars had to charge. So we waited for a bit. We got a few snacks while waiting. Tried to play the claw machine, but it ate our quarters. There was an employee’s dog running around loose. It ate something and threw up. It was also jumping on guests. Other families came in and asked used the go karts. We got in line ourselves. When it was our turn, I was told that not all of my kid were able to go on the track otherwise the karts would die. I asked for a refund of the unused portion of our time and got half back. This place is not worth it.
Really appreciated the entire staff at Aurora Fun Center. We had reserved a couple of rooms for an event and the staff were very accommodating and hospitable. Our event went off without any problems. We definitely will be recommending them and utilizing their facility again.
Have celebrated and attended MANY birthdays here. The new ownership and staff are incredible. Recent upgrades to things like the laser guns are worth checking out, as well as the arcade. The Go-Karts are a blast too!
Super Fun!! Adults and kids had a blast at Lazer tag, go karts, air hockey tables, pool, arcade games. Comic shop in the back, popcorn & cotton candy stand too. Soda & water for purchase. 2 birthday rooms. 2 bathrooms-they cleaned them while we were there! Well staffed, & friendly. Good experience all around.
Yes I wish this place was bigger but we had a blast none the less. The kid working the counter was helpful when we needed him to be and the equipment worked well. Everyone from the 3 year old to us adults had a blast. We will definitely be back again for laser tag. We were told they hoped to have the go karts up and running soon as well. The "arcade" isn't really much of anything but we were there for laser tag so we didn't mind anyways.
The only reason I give this a 4 instead of a 5 is due to the go-karts. The steering on all of their go-karts is so stiff, my son could not properly steer and ended up ramming into the outline guard rails, almost ever turn. Other than that, all of the staff were friendly, and the laser tag room is phenomenal. I suggest going on Fridays, they offer 5 dollar deals on go-karts and laser tag.
