I had the opportunity to work with the team at Jack Pine Brewery for hosting a bridal shower in their Pioneer Room. The team was so accommodating and helpful (turned down the music in the event space, helped moved tables and chairs, and were there if we had any questions). There are plenty of tables and chairs in the space to use, and the projector system was a nice addition to the space. There is also a nice cut out in the wall that is perfect for the food station and there was a sliding door that allowed us to close the room off to the main area. With the rental of the room we got some drink tokens, which were a hit. 5/5 stars for the Jack Pine team and space! We hope to utilize the space again in the future!
Great beer selection, friendly staff, clean, and an all around great atmosphere! 10/10 recommend mixing the Dead on Dill and Vengeance!!!! Support local breweries.
Jack Pine is a great brewery inthe Baxter Brainerd area. They have a big open space with a large bar. The beertender i had was very friendly and I had the chance to talk at length with one of the owner (who clearly enjoys what they do.) They had over 20 beers on plus seltzers and big beers in cans. Beer for my stop included: Keylime sour, blackberry peach sour, fruited cream ale, 2 versions of their festbier, jalapeño cream ale, dill cream ale, stout, s'mores stout, Double imperial stout, nut brown ale, red ale, honey lemon wheat ale, cream ale, light lager, 2 pale ales, 2 American IPAs, west coast IPA, and a hazy IPA. Everything I tried was pretty good. I am from outside of town but will definitely stop again when I am back.
Great beer selection! They have a large variety of snack-type food, and the day we were there there was also a food truck. Good place to hang out for families, large groups, and his dog friendly.
First class brewery. The owners are on site. Great live music. Board games and cards are available. Just a great Hang. I only tried 5 beers, but they were all great. We took tour to find out how a mathematician makes great beer. I can not say enough great things about this place.
My wife and I were at the original location and had great beer and root beer for her. And to see where they are now. Fabulous building with outside seating and selling pizza.
We visited this really good brewery when we were in breezy point for a weekend getaway. Their lemon shandy is really great. My friend loved their IPA beers. The owner gave us a tour of the brewery with little history about the name and how he decided upon this business. That was quite interesting. It's good to see people taking upon their interest and making the best out of it. My friend was wondering if he could get the beer in Boston but they have limited distribution now. They have board games too. There is a patio where you can sit and chill. It's children and pet friendly brewery.
Nice and new taproom. Staff was friendly. Large beer selection. Men's room urinals were impressively epic (yes, I know that's a ridiculous thing to put in a review, but it's true). Beer was hit and miss. #13 Citra IPA, #16 Smore Stout and #21 Whiskey Barrel Porter were excellent. Many beers, however, were below average. For example, the cream ale #3, was basically a pour out beer. I'm hopeful Jack Pine can build on its quality of beers. I will return, but the quality of beer is far lower overall than nearby Roundhouse.

Very nice! Had a blast here! Great happy hour. Two big slides, one smaller, and a toddler slide. A huge water dumping bucket. Lots of little 'splash pad' style fountains, fun water shooters, etc. A pool, two hot tubs, and a small lazy river as well. We spent hours here! Really enjoyed it and recommend it!!
Paid $456 for ONE night. I was expecting a decent sized room, decent breakfast and over all decent time spent. When we got to our room, it was tiny, caught me off guard how small the room was for what I was paying. The pictures did not show how small it was. No smart TVs, old style TV guide that was hard to work with 15 channels, the den room with bunk beds had a tv and game console in their but in an easy place to hit your head and we were unable to hook our Roku up, so no movies at night. The shelving in the room would not stay shut, the bedding had what looked like dirt flecks on it. The waterpark was cold, a lot cooler than the surrounding water parks. It was hard to enjoy the experience and took a while to get “warmer”, there was random gates around the waterpark that made it look not put together. The breakfast was ok. When I was getting coffee for my kid, staff came over and started making it uncomfortable. Over night staff was kind, but not much help with internet issues. 2/5 stars, I’ve spent WAY less, and had a better experience. I recommend Arrowhead, the neighboring waterpark across the highway. Much cheaper and way better experience. This honestly felt like a motel stay.
We celebrated our youngest kiddo's birthday there and was wonderful! The younger kids were happy and the older ones too. The water slides are really fun and the hot tubs are nice and relaxing. My only issue with the place is the cost is 18 bucks a person. I think they should change the price for kids.
Great option for younger kids/ families. It was easy to keep an eye on our 6 y.o. and 3 y.o. without having to constantly shadow them! Much smaller than Great Wolf which means easier to keep tabs on the kiddos and the rooms are all much closer to the water park area. Very solid breakfast options (included) and a decent selection of food and beverages are available within the water park area. Just enough to do that they did not get bored. Not too crowded though they need more tubes for the slides and tables for seating. B+ or A-.
Couldn't find a better place. The staff is so amazing. Laser tag was supposed to close and the young man stayed extra time during his lunch so the kids could get in. The guy running the arcade games was so patient with our kids. Food is great and the bartender and cook are awesome. We've been coming for years and see her everytime. What a hard working lady. We will only come here.
We held my daughter's 11th Birthday here and it was awesome! The staff was extremely helpful, there was a room we could use for an hour and a half for gift opening and cake, and the party package came with 3 pizzas and 2 pitchers of drink of your choice. Party package also came with 10 waterpark wristbands. Fun was had by adults and kids on the water slides, the lazy river and more!
This is a great place for birthday partys, or even just wanting to have a family day at the water park. The life guards are friendly and helping. It's spacious and offers beverages and food. Not only is this place fun but it's also affordable! I definitely recommend coming here for a swim!!
Stayed here many times and in the past has always been a pretty good time. It's gone downhill and the people that work in the pool area couldn't say they hate working here more. Very rude. Crabby. I get they are young and have to take their jobs seriously but threatening kids to be kicked out on their birthday for going down a waterslide together is a bit much. There's no sign. Being told once and doing it again would have been different.

Awesome toddler friendly water park. Water park is not a super strong chlorine smell. There’s an indoor / outdoor hot tub. All floors in the water park are covered in foam. Breakfast is awesome! Hotel and rooms are super clean! Deffinently will be coming back!
I called to ask a question if the room with the bunk beds has a 2nd bathroom because the way the description is worded it sounded like it might. I mean 6 people 1 bathroom, it should. Not the point though, the lady who answered was so rude like it was a bother to answer my question and clarify. I had follow-up questions like if there were public restrooms on the same floor of said room, but I didn't bother asking because of her attitude I was NOT going to stay there. Service industry 101, the person you are talking to, whether in person or on the phone, should feel like the most important person to you in that moment. Epic fail!!!!
Good location, nice people at the desk, roomwere large and very comfortable with extra pillows, and blankets. The lobby has a store you can buy items with a large fireplace and seating areas that is pleasant. The pool seems well used and halls seem worn with an odd odor. We thought the room was fairly clean but it was a busy weekend and might have been a quick cleaning and missed some vacuuming. Overall a good hotel with an extra large parking lot in back and a small strip of parking in front where most of the doors are. The trees were nice for shade and all the cars were on that side.
I would not recommend this hotel. The room and front desk staff were awful! The room was dirty (popcorn under and around the living room furniture, bobby pins on the floor, spider webs in corners, dusty, stains, etc). I would have thought housekeeping missed it if the bed wasn't made and the bathroom wasn't set up. The living room furniture was frayed, had stickers and gum on it, had virtually no stuffing left in it which made it very uncomfortable, and was just gross. We had a separate bedroom from the living room area and 2 of the 4 lights didn't even work and one outlet built into the headboard was falling off. I went to the front desk and spoke with a mid 20s caucasian male with brown hair - didn't get his name, and explained the situation. He looked at my blankly and asked what I wanted him to do. I asked if there was another room we could switch to and after looking at availability he said no. I asked what my options were as I was trying really hard to be collaborative and he very coldly and rudely said "You can leave." I asked if that was his only solution and if he felt we should be paying full price for a room in this state. He coldly stated "Look, you can stay or you can go." No apology, no let's get housekeeping and maintenance out there, no trying to do anything, nothing. There is also no soundproofing. Our family - including a baby- was woken up in the middle of the night both nights (1:30am, 3am) to constant running and noise. I get it with kids, but when it is that loud from 10pm-6am, that's ridiculous, you need better soundproofing or intervention of other guests. We had to tough it out as best we could as this was a multi family vacation, but rest assured we will not be back and will not be recommending this place. Although the the location is great and water park was a lot of fun and my kids enjoyed it, the positives unfortunately end there.
Great, clean hotel plenty of food choices within walking distance. Breakfast was excellent with biscuits and gravy price fairly at 130.00. Would stay again room could use some paint a lot of gouged.
Walking in it was aesthetically pleasing. That's where it ended. My woman had to go run errands locally. I decide to lay on the bed and watch a movie with my son. I started smelling cologne on the pillow .I'm not wearing cologne today. And do not own that fragrance that I was smelling. Well I called down to the front desk I asked him why does my pillow smell like cologne and I am not wearing any and they said it could be coming through from the pillow. I said you know as well as I know this wasn't turned we all hear all the stories about hotels. I asked them to bring up new bedding. They did in about 5 or 10 minutes. The lady that brought them up has brown hair probably early twenties. I did not bother asking her name she seemed like a snob. Tried to hand me them to make the bed I was like I'm not making it. And then she acted like she is in a big hurry and I was inconveniencing her. I stayed with my son by the door with the door open so she would not feel uncomfortable with a strange man in there while she was making the bed. So thank you for thst. just trying to have a nice weekend.really choppy on the house keeping I did thank the lady for remaking the bed, not even a word as she walked out.she was upset .we wiil not stay again .
The sink in the bathroom drained very slowly. Front desk didn't seem overly concerned. Breakfast was not the greatest, but at least it was complimentary. Little tricky getting in and out of there. Price jumped up double to $300 Friday night. We found a hotel right across the street whose price did not increase.
So unbelievably disappointed. We used to come to this water park every year when I was a kid. This is a joke of a water park compared to what it was. Do NOT waste your money here.

Totally wanted to give this a one star or less! No one told us we would smell like fish at the end of the day! RUDE! He even stopped and grabbed ice for out shoulders since we were reeling in to many fish we did not get a break except for about 30 seconds between baits or was just to much activity would not recommend unless you want to smell like fish and have sore muscles! Ps super nice guy picked us up in his nice truck (4 people)launched his boat and set everything up himself.
Our fishing adventure with Bobby G was the highlight of our trip. Somehow he was able to seamlessly and patiently keep our 3 kids engaged, learning, and catching more fish than they’ve ever caught before. Highly recommend to anyone, but especially those with kids looking to have a great time on the water.
Caught a ton of fish and had a great time! Would definitely go with Bobby G again!
My 10 year old had an amazing experience with Bobby G and caught plenty of fish!
We had a great time and everyone caught fish. Bobby is great with kids. We will definitely use him again.
We had a great time, kid friendly, enjoyed his jokes & caught FISH.
Had a great time! Very knowledgeable, put us on fish and loved the boat. Thanks!
Love this ,will come back next year Had a great time , excellent job!!!
