We did a horseback ride for $45 CAD per person (1 hour) and it was absolutely worth it! You do need to book in advance, but the process was smooth. It was our first time riding horses, and Paige was an amazing guide — friendly, helpful, and made us feel comfortable throughout. The ride was so much fun and truly memorable. Thank you so much, Paige! We enjoyed it a lot and will definitely come back again!
Absolute must stay! There are very few places like this left and if you love horses, nature, and ranch style scenery you HAVE to stay here. The family owners were so kind and welcoming. They quickly showed us to our cabin and made us feel like we could enjoy the property like a second home. You could always see staff in the distance but the stay felt very private and peaceful. You can walk the grounds at any time really, visit the chickens, pigs, and horses at your leisure. Many of the horses became familiar with us and would greet us at the fence as they saw us approach. We would walk down with morning coffees and enjoy the environment. The horseback rides are some of the best I’ve been on. They modified the ride to our experience level and being able to gallop through sands and fields was beyond words. We had cats and dogs greet us at our porch in the morning, socialized with the horses throughout the day, and relaxed in the hot tub in the trees at night. I am very aware of the amount of trust the family and staff have to put in their guests to respect the grounds and the animals to allow for an experience like this and that’s what makes this place so special. I can’t recommend it enough! I hope those that choose to visit continue to respect this space so it never has to change.
Everything was beautiful, the location, the horses, the trails...The cabin was clean, comfy, and well-supplied, and the hosts were very kind and accommodating. The cabin is a good size for a couple, but also spacious for a family or group, as the loft adds quite a bit of additional space. I would definitely stay again.
The cabins are beautiful here. They are well kept, clean and have all the essentials. The hosts are friendly and they provide you with wood for the woodstoves. We also went on the UFO trail ride with Devin as our guide. It was great and very informative. Would definitely recommend this place and the trail rides.
Fantastic little getaway spot to escape the city for a couple of days. Very cute cabins, sweet animals, very helpful and friendly staff/owners. The horse riding trail was a great adventure, I’d love to return some day!
We had an absolutely lovely stay at the ranch. Our cabin was cozy, comfortable and very clean. Whether relaxing in the jacuzzi, or enjoying the view from the cabin’s balcony…it is a serene getaway. We enjoyed visiting the horses, pigs and chickens with our daughter. We are already planning on staying at the ranch h again next summer.
An amazing 5 days on the ranch, a little haven of calm relaxed pleasure. We were very lucky with the weather considering the time of year but I don't think that it would have mattered it was truly a magical few days. You must book a guided horse ride, my first time on a horse and they were great and so patient with me. One of the highlights has to be the hot tub under the trees so magical.
We booked a one hour beginner level horse riding. It started raining when we arrived. Staffs were very friendly and helpful, they rescheduled us to next day same time. Trail was beautiful, horses were lovely. The shop is nice, horse stable and henhouse are well maintained. 100% a must visit spot if you camp at Whiteshell.
