Great farm. I picked a sunny warm day to visit. Corn maze is fantastic for exercise. Basketball, bowling balls and slides were fun for a 40 year old. Animals were so sweet and entertaining. Would love to see an adult night with local ciders and beer served. Food was ok but flies were relentless. Bathroom was clean. I always miss the pumpkin cannon show. I would love to see adult bikes (tricycles) for use around farm if possible. More selfie stands would be great especially at the Big Fall Fun sign. I go alone to visit the farm each year and it's very geared towards children. Would love a child free day and night each month with painting, wagon rides, vendors, dance (host a radio station to attend and such. Would be fun to see a few options for the child free demographic. Thanks for the fun day outside. Response to owner: I can't reply for some reason to your response about the children being heart broken over 1 day for an adult only event. Sorry for the suggestion. I'm not from your area to organize this but would attend a child free event if it were available. Example: I enjoy East Park Waterpark Adult only events each month of the summer in London. The attendance was alarming because the demographic is so large and often ignored. Single people looking for a place to happen outside of the city is a suggestion. I'll leave that with you to navigate or ignore
Visited Clovermead Farm in Aylmer, Ontario this past Saturday. Tickets were $22 per person online (kids under 2 are free), and parking was huge—seriously, you’ll never worry about finding a spot! Despite the crowd, it didn’t feel overcrowded, which was a pleasant surprise. This place is a hit with families and schools—lots of activities for kids under 10. Some attractions are small (like the ball-hanging activity) or repetitive (several similar slides), but the kids didn’t seem to mind. They had three wagon rides throughout the day; most were just okay, except the shaky cup ride which was fun—and all of them are included in the ticket price. Food-wise, you can bring your own, or try their on-site spots—we grabbed the 6” pizzas, which were fresh, tasty, and reasonably priced. The main reason for the 4 stars: cleanliness. Some areas are really dusty and not well-maintained, especially the “bear place,” which was the dirtiest. I even spotted an insect nest there—pretty concerning with so many young kids running around. I get the rustic farm vibe they’re going for, but it still needs to be child-friendly and safe. Overall, a fun day out for families with young kids, but I hope they step up the upkeep before our next visit.
There’s no way you can fully enjoy everything here at this place. The smash burger and poutine is amazing. All the animals look so well cared for. The family has put so much work and effort into making this place amazing for the Littles to play. The pumpkin show was quite impressive, the Beanery was absolute sensory overload. We watch a young boy with autism have such a wonderful time in there and his mom was able to just enjoy watching him play safely. Overall I’m just impressed with the unlimited amount of things to do.
We had the most amazing time at Clovermead Adventure Farm! From the moment we arrived, the staff were friendly and welcoming. There’s so much for kids (and adults!) to do — giant jumping pillows, farm animals to meet, tractor rides, and endless outdoor play areas. Everything is clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully set up for families to explore. My daughter loved the bee- tracker ride and the zip line and could have spent all day on the play structures. It’s such a fun, safe, and educational place that makes you want to come back again and again. Highly recommend for a full day of fresh air, laughter, and adventure!
I was hesitating to buy the tickets because the admission during long weekend is higher than regular day. I placed order online for a discount eventually. There are so many areas to go to and most facilities are well maintained. For the Fall festival decorations were very eye catching. I love they also have giant selfies pole for photo taking. We had a blast here.
What an amazing experience for the family. We missed many of the events having gone on weekday yet we could have spent forever there. So much fun was still had by my wife and I plus our children. The space was cleverly used. The sites were wonderfully designed and interactive. The train tour guy was great. We spent much of our time telling the kids we needed to move along to see/do everything which we still didn't manage. The kids enjoyed everything and my wife and I were able to enjoy each other's company in a fun, beautiful atmosphere. Thank you for all your hard work. We'll definitely be returning.
Took my 7, 4, and 2 year olds for the first time last week and we all LOVED it! Blown away with how many fun and interactive activities there was to do for the kids. They've never played so hard and were pooped when we got in the car again. The favourites were the splash pad, bean pit, feeding the animals, and playing on all of the cool and unique areas. The food was yummy and large portions. Lots of places and shade to cool off from the hot heat that day, too! We will be back for sure! Oh and also, my 4 year old had a puncture wound on his foot from the day before we visited but he didn't tell me about it until we were at Clovermead when he complained he couldn't put weight on his foot while playing. I asked staff for a first aid kit to clean and bandage it and the most friendly and kind staff member helped us out right away. Half way through the day after that she even came and found us to check on him. Amazing, helpful, friendly, and caring staff! 👏
lots to do for families at this farm. more suited to older children (2+) but still fun to look/feed the animals and take family photos. the honey is delicious, and so we're the Chipotle chicken gyros and donuts. the stones I had in my pay dirt were a nice size and variety. worth 10$ imo. will return when my kids are a little older and can do more activities.

Amazing park. Great place to go to for a nice run/walk or simply just relax. Beautiful trees and calm pond.
This was my first time at a maple syrup festival, and it was fantastic! I also tried maple syrup for the first time, and it was delicious. The wagon tour was very informative. After the tour, Tom explained the three-pan method with so much excitement and energy. He was very friendly and made learning fun! Ron explained the indigenous and pioneer methods of making maple syrup and even gave a live demonstration. It was very interesting to see how things were done in the past. The whole place had a great vibe—lively, cheerful, and full of positive energy. My only suggestion is to provide brochures for those who want to learn more. Overall, a wonderful experience, and I would love to come again!
I absolutely love this place. It's really quiet, the people camping & day trippers are really friendly. The staffing could use an upgrade. They do drive around once every few hours or so, which gives a nice feeling of security/safety. A pavilion on the trailer side, where I hear Bingo is played. Some great trails to take a hike on, both sides. I always have a great time when I go. When there's not a lot of campers on the day side there is lots of places to have a picnic. Tables by the lake are nice. I hope this helps with u planning of ur next stay-cation!!!
Fun trails, BUT beware of some questionable fixes on small bridges and playground structures. Here the rope climbing portion of the playground has screws sticking through just enough to cause surprise injuries- very dangerous
Absolutely fantastic place for a nice walk. There's numerous different trails, some longer, some shorter, and all beautiful. Excellent place to study nature and watch wildlife. There's also a Beach area for swimming, a playground, a campground, canoe and paddle boat rentals, and more. Also, for those who like fishing, there is decent fishing for a variety of different fish. Definitely recommend it.
This is one of the biggest, oldest Carolinian forests in the area. Such a beautiful place to wander through and enjoy nature! The trees are very large and old. The path through the forest is wide and very well kept. There are markers around the path to read up on and show you where you are. It’s a very busy path but everyone is friendly. I tend to like wandering off the path to look at things, but beware of ticks if you choose to do so! I got one on me the other day 😬 If you are fortunate you may even hear the pileated woodpecker calling or hammering away at a dead tree somewhere in the forest. And if you are VERY lucky, as I was the other day, you may even spot one way up in the canopy!! Be sure to leave your trail fee in the box provided or stop across the street at the office to leave a taxable donation. It takes a lot of work to keep up a beautiful path in a one of a kind forest like this one!
Great trails for a leisurely hike/walk. Several loops to choose from and all paths are relatively smooth and relatively flat (gentle inclines). Also wide enough for social distancing. Very good signage- maps are positioned along the way where the trails fork. Lots of birds and critters to see too!
Incredible place, just stunning especially right now at this time of year. Dogs are welcomed as long as on a leash (but if well behaved, it's an amazing off leash locations, but the rules are stated dogs must be leashed, and picked up after!). We walked the larger trail and the trail was well maintained, only slightly muddy here and there but my shoes were fine when done. Took us about an hour and a bit to walk the one trail at a fairly average walking pace, with dogs and strollers. The leaves are turning so its just truly gorgeous all around you as you walk. I'll be back without a doubt.

Lots of people here, but there still was a spot left just for us. The beach has small rocks on it, not as much sand as Port Stanley or Port Burtwell. I enjoyed building a sandcastle, though; there is some sand. The water was fairly warm. My uncle n aunt from Alberta enjoyed this beach.
There isn't much here. They have a free parking lot, a bathroom and the park sign. It's not your typical provincial park. We did a 2km out and back along the beach. Very rocky but the water was nice.
Haven't been here in years. Still a quiet beach More stones along the waters edge than I remember from long ago. And no Sea Gems. Darn!
What an amazing place!! We had such a wonderful time. Clean. Beautiful and a close drive from home. Definitely would recommend
We usually go here just to sit by and relax. It’s such a calm and chill place, perfect for a quiet break and to refresh. The only downside is that the washrooms are quite smelly and not well maintained, which can be a bit unpleasant.
This is a nice place to visit and spend quite morning infont of the lake, u have 2 choices either to sit on the sand but u need to get ur own chairs or on the sidewalk and there are some benches there
I luv coming here on the off season. You get the place to yourself . Gorgeous views
Beautiful place. Perfect for watching sunset. Plenty of shade for hotter days.

Enjoy a meal out in the woods. Arrived and asked if we can switch from indoor to outdoor. Accommodation was made and instructions given for the timeline to evict. I was greeted by Abby our server. She explained the specials menu that we missed when walking to our table. Abbg was very patient and thorough with her professional description of the dishes. Our drinks were brought within minutes of ordering. Appetizer was a bit hit and miss. I enjoy the garden salad with the strawberries. The mushroom soup had great flavors and chunks of mushroom. The soup of the day zucchini however did not reflect the freshness or the veggies. The chicken broccoli crepe was creamy and serve with bread and salad. Great serving size and flavoring. Tuna melt phenomenal. Cheese and tuna was perfect temperate. The pickles on the side offer a tangy bite. The burger was the least appetizing of the 3 main. Plain burger seem to be a class below the 2 other outstanding dish. Dessert was cheesecakes with strawberry and lavender. Cheesecake did not standout. Lavender was a bit more interesting as the flavors were added to the creame instead of sprinkle or sauce. Vast selection of drinks to pick from for those thirsty. Bring some bug spray for those who dont want little creatures nearby.
Nice hidden gem, 10 min from Aylmer center in a quiet area. Surprisingly crowded inside we couldn't get a window table. Food is ok, walk down to the garden and visit the studio is nice extra.
Pinecroft is an experience. When we first got there we were taken back by the tall trees the surrounded the restaurant and the property in general. It really gives magical cabin in the woods vibe. My wife said it was the two best smells fresh camping air and the smell of breakfast! There are two paths that go down to the pond and the pottery cabin. The restaurant is beautiful and when you step inside you are immediately in their gift shop where they sell the pottery they make on the property. If you are into pottery this is the place for you. They also have clothes in the back, bags, and other souvenirs. We got there early so gave our name to the hostess and looked around the shop until a table was ready for us. **You must make a reservation! This place is popular and will fill up fast. They do have outside seating in the summer but I’m going to assume that is also by reservation.** Debbie was our server and she was very lovely and knowledgeable telling us about the food, the restaurant and the property. Our reservation was for 11:30 so I’m assuming we had the lunch menu so if you want to go for breakfast ask the restaurant when making your reservation what time they serve breakfast. I ordered coffee and my family had tea. I had the roast beef sandwich with fries and gravy, my wife had the grilled cheese sandwich and our son had the sea food crepe. We all started with their soup of the day which was broccoli cheddar. First thing I need to say is the soup was fantastic. It was delicious and rustic, topped off with graded cheese. It was absolutely delicious and as our other food came out you could tell the souped was made from scratch, they baked their own bread for the sandwiches and cut their own fresh cut fries. All the food was delicious and homey. It wasn’t out of this world by any means but it was all freshly made and that really goes a long way. For dessert we had bumble berry pie and the old fashion chocolate cake and again this had an in house made vibe and flavors that you only get with good homemade food. Wonderful experience all around. Total was around $120 for all that food so about $40 each of us. It would be nice to visit in the fall when the trees just change their colours
A magically cozy spot. Comforting yet unique options on the menu. The seafood crepe was delicious! I can’t wait to try more items off the menu! Everyone was so friendly and the atmosphere was full of whimsy.
Beautiful setting for this restaurant and gift shop, nestled amongst the pine trees this place is quiet and peaceful. The food was excellent especially the dinner rolls which were freshly baked. The gift shop had many unique items and hand made pottery made on site.
They didn't have a gluten free bun so it was in gluten free toast which was fine by me! I forgot to ask if they have a separate toaster for gluten free. The burger was really good despite being a bit greasy. The sweet potato fries were some of the best I've ever had! Thry were also gluten free so I think they had a dedicated fryer. The chipotle mayo was too spicy for me, but I'm a big baby when it comes to spice. The gluten free and vegan chocolate decadence cake was really good! The cake inside was a bit dry but the whipped cream made up for it. The service was a bit slow as it was VERY busy and they said it's always that busy, so be sure to make a reservation and give yourself 1.5 hours to eat. The servers were lovely and the restaurant was a cute and cozy cabin! The power flickered a few times while we were there so I'm not sure what was up with that.
I have never been here but my husband went for a work lunch before and mentioned how much I'd love it, so we tried it out! We didn't make a reservation, which was almost a mistake (I didn't know we should have). We went in around 11:15 for a table for two and were advised they only had outdoor seating. It was humid and quite buggy out, so decided against it. We were about to leave but they squeezed us in with a promise that we would be out by 12:30 for a large reservation that was coming in. We were more than happy to ensure we were outta there in record time. It's adorable!! It's small, quaint, different, homey and simply a perfect little lunch spot. My husband had the burger with fries. Generally he complains about something ridiculous (complains to me, not to the restaurant haha) but not this time! It was perfection from the flavour to how it was cooked. The portion of fries was also quite large, so he had no complaints! He wishes he opted for no caramelized onions, but that was a "Kevin issue" and not a Pinecroft issue. His biggest surprise was how they put the burger on one of their homemade rolls! He was upset that he ordered something that didn't come with a roll. Surpriiisssee! 🎉🎉🎉 I ventured very far out of my comfort zone and went with the Reuben crepe! It came with a side caesar salad and a homemade roll. The caesar salad had a great flavour. They use homemade croutons and real crispy bacon bits, which was ideal. The salad was a tad "over dressed" but hey, like the onions, it's a personal preference issue. The reuben crepe was also delicious!!! It was big, flavourful, warm and covered in cheese. It's very heavy on the sauerkraut, so just as a heads up in the event you aren't the biggest fan of sauerkraut. We had a great lunch, no complaints and our bill was around $57 for lunch, a beer and a diet coke! We'll definitely be repeat offenders at this establishment, but definitely make reservations next time ❤️❤️
Pinecroft is absolutely amazing! The atmosphere is beautiful, peaceful, inviting and surrounded by nature. Every season brings a special kind of warmth and joy. The food there is always fresh, delicious, and the attention to detail with every meal is incredible. The service is warm, welcoming, and attentive without ever feeling rushed - such wonderful staff all around. Pinecroft is the perfect spot for a relaxing meal, whether you’re celebrating something special or just enjoying a quiet day out. It is also known for the handmade pottery, Pinecroft is the longest operating pottery studio in Canada and all the pieces are one of a kind and unique - so make sure to check out the gift shop on your way in or out.

Excellent place created for learning more about Diary anc farming. It is usually not open during winter time and we are so glad to meet Cathy who leads us to have an informal private tour. Really a grest place. If you plan to go there with a giant tour bus, should go from the direction of Copenhagen, not from Sparta as it needs to pass through a narrow Old Iron Trestle Bridge and hills. Not good for really big bus.
Interesting place. Lots of nostalgia seeing things like the milk bottles that used to be delivered when I was a kid as well as farm equipment used, trucks etc.
Intriguing little museum in thecwoods of rural Elgin County knocks it out of the park in celebrating local dairy history. Space is a little tight for all the displays, most of which come from a dairy family's collection. You'll need either an old-timer in tow or one of the knowledgeable staff to get the most out of this unique place. It's not just antiques. There are some interactive stuff for kids and fun photo opps. Nature trails meander the wooded grounds.
We had a great visit Sunday September 1st, Cathy took the time to share the history of the museum and how it all began with Andy’s efforts, later becoming the Gay Lea museum. The collection is very interesting and our son loved the ice cream sundae as a wonderful treat!
Great Place. The museum is well stocked, curated masterfully. Lots of historic artefacts like various kinds of milk bottles as they evolved over the years, diary equipment, butter churners, milk trucks and so much more. Also some farm equipment (vintage) in the basement as well. Staff is very friendly and this place is worth visiting if you are around Aylmer or Port Bruce areas. In addition to the museum, this Gay Lea farm is over 200 hectare camp site with nice trails. The drive to this is also scenic through the southern ontario farms.
Just down the street from us, this is a great place to go hiking. The trails are well-groomed. Today we saw about two dozen deer. The museum itself is closed for the season but it's a great spot to visit when it is open.
Great spot to visit, lovely trails to walk on and museum was well kept

Great local spot. Here for a hockey tournament and this store was recommended by a friend that lives nearby. All sorts of fresh fruit and vegetables, meals are delicious. The Lidz Cinnabon cookie dough is insane. Paired some dill pickle tortillas and medium (has kick watch out) salsa nacho dip…yes please!! Perfect go to instead of the usual chain fast food joints. Support local even if you’re not local!!
Twice now I have been disappointed within two weeks. I bought the Grandma strawberry cheese cake but it is not cheesecake at all 😔. Its strawberry mousse there is no hint of cheese cake whatsoever. Second time ,I paid 15 $ plus for a chicken Cobb salad . I was very upset to realize that there was only one piece of chicken, that's it one small piece!! Has anyone else encountered this.
The cutest farm market with the freshest-looking produce I've ever seen! We had to try their pie pockets, and believe me you will not be disappointed. They are so so yummy - we got an assorted pack and all of the flavours were delicious! Definitely recommend checking this place out if you're in need of local produce, cheese, meats, dinners/meals, jams, coffee, bread, pastries, and more!
I used to love buying from this farm, however; I feel that their prices are over inflated. I'm aware that things are complicated for everyone right now, but buying "local" especially should not be over-priced. I know farmers have an "overhead" cost but still, how can it be so much more affordable to buy things that are flown in from worldwide countries than buying home grown goods!?!?!? It's disappointing. So many food grocers prefer to throw tons of food to the garbage rather than selling it at a fair price!!!! If this keeps up, how is it supposed to help the local economy? It's truly sad, I used to go to the farm to get my products but about two years ago, they were charging $12 for a tiny pint of blueberries!!! $12!!!! Are they gold nuggets? That's when I realized it was not worth my while, so I haven't been back except to get some milk.🥴
Heeman's is a fun destination. Very relaxing and always smells so good! The cafe and seating areas make it nice to lingerie as long as you like. I appreciate how well the plants are cared for and how helpful the Daymakers are. Worth the drive!
We made a random stop here at this farmers market & we’re excited we did! The staff is amazing! Craig was excellent to talk with about the local produce & bakery items. Thanks for running such a beautiful shop! We’ll tell our friends to stop in :) - Brian + Erin BE Adventure Partners
My wife and I own a restaurant in Goderich and happened by this Howe’s Market today and they have amazing baking and veggies. I have to say it is the best corn I have eaten ever. Thank you for taking care and pride in your products. Chef Steve

Nice place to go. We saw around 150 tundra swans today. There are more swans in the afternoon than that in the morning. Besides swans and geese are more active in the afternoon. There’re a lot of parking places, so don’t need to worry about parking.
We came here two weeks ago and there were only geese. Now is much better, many tundra swans at the viewing stands! Bring a zoom lens :) It would be more helpful for people living far away if staff posted when they start to have more swans in the area.
A nice place to watch birds. Free of charge, no entry fee. I went there on 14 March 2024. It's a pity that it wasn't many swans. Still good to see wild life in a well managed area.
Beyond my expectations. Beautiful and peaceful. Different species of birds everywhere. It's like a different world. It was a rainy day, so my visit was very short, but I am sharing a few pictures .
So many swans that it blows your mind. The songs can be incredible from these mighty tundra swans. So beautiful to see the mighty migration. Worth the drive, seldom busy.
Unfortunately the swans had gone. My son and i got to see the eagle. It was a lovely place to visit and my son enjoyed walking along the trails. Will definitely return in the spring to see the swans
Such a great spot to view the swans from different vantage points that is safe for them & for us. Swans are such a beautiful bird, love seeing them interact with each other. Glad there is this space provided for them to rest & eat for a few days
A great place for birders. We went to see the swam migration. Don't go expecting lots of facilities or trails - this place is for the birds and your comfort is secondary.

We took the trip out from London to Howe Family Farm Market to participate in the “pick your own flowers” event today and it was WONDERFUL! What a fun experience to get into the rows of flowers and pick what we liked. Came out with such beautiful flowers and enough to make multiple bouquets! The person helping there, Jaelyn, was so welcoming and friendly. Easy 5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The sticker on the orange seeded watermelon I bought says it came from your farm. This is my first time trying this kind of watermelon. (Didn’t know there was yellow watermelon) it was the best watermelon I’ve ever tasted. Now I want to go to the farm market.
Still trying to find any hint of raspberry in their coconut raspberry tarts. It was simply a coconut tart. The corn was inedible and was tossed. The bread was stale and was tossed as well . I expected better.
This place has the freshest produce. I love the “picked today” section! Produce is always good and the staff are great. You can tell it’s a family business. Prices are fair compared to grocery stores. Even the homemade dog treats are a hit at our house! If you want a special treat, get a fresh baked pie. Probably the best pie I’ve ever had!
Totally worth the drive from London. Very fresh and tasty fruits.
Great! The fresh corn 🌽 was the best I’ve ever had anywhere. Nice range of local produce, baked goods, and preserves.

Great food, friendly staff! Always fun stopping in for wings and a drink!!
Walked in and ordered an order of wings and onion rings. Told 20 minutes - prepared to wait 30min. Paid up front to be able to leave quickly back to St Thomas. Over next hour watched every other table’s order be taken and fulfilled. Declined generous offers of a drink while a sat ignored. Would have left but felt as if I was being held captive. Increasing onion ring order to appease me was insulting as was owner (?} insisting I drink a glass of water I didn’t want, need or had ordered. In conclusion ::Meal was disappointing and way over rated relative to online reviews. First impressions will always remain.- I won’t be back! Nor my friends..
Amazing pizza. Service was great. We arrived half hour from closing and they accommodated us. Drove from Hamilton to have their pizza. I'm definitely going back!
The atmosphere is nostalgic, pricing is very fair and the food is great. Excellent place for an affordable time out. Fun for all ages !
The wings are the best!! I love the fire and ice (medium sauce and honey garlic together). Bowling was fun and the server was nice.
Always a great spot. Friendly staff and good food!
Good pizza, wings, onion rings, and nachos. Staff is friendly. A place to return to.
We had our employee Christmas gathering at Cys this year. Food was great. It was a blast!!
