We enjoyed our visit. I was impressed by the effort of local residents in gathering artifacts that bring the history of Dauphin to life. The buildings and exhibits were in great condition. There is a full-time grounds keeper. The city maintains the grass and flowers. In addition to the historical displays, there was a fossil exhibit.
Fort Dauphin is a great view into what a fur trading post looked like. There is a display committed to the Red River Metis, who would have frequented this fort.
Nice small museum. I liked the cannons.
This is a nice collection of buildings and artifacts. We tripped over it completely by accident on a random drive north from Wassagaming in Riding Mountain National Park. The staff suggested we start with the main building while they unlocked all the other buildings for us. Which they did. We had the whole place to ourselves. According to the guest book, this place doesn't see a lot of visitors. At least not midweek in early July. That's a shame. This is a nice little museum and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. If you're staying in Riding Mountain, or anywhere else in or around Dauphin, and you're interested in Canadian History, this should be on your list of places to visit.
This is a hidden gem!! The museum has a significant display of period structures and well laid out displays. You will leave with an appreciation of how the area grew from a fur trading post to a vibrant town on the edge of the escarpment! Very interesting to say the least!! My grandson came away with a totally different awareness. Displays in the basement and toilets are not handicap friendly, this being the only downside! A must see if you are in the area.
This historic place could use a boost, and it shouldn't have green haired staff playing historic roles. Very very nice people. Welcoming.
Pioneer day was fun for the kids, had a horse wagon ride! Ballon toss, scavanger hunt... and much more! Over all, a great afternoon at fort Dauphin with my daughters! 😀
A very beautiful place and a Manitoba attraction. Very warm and friendly staff too.

Absolutely beautiful interior! The design and detailing is phenomenal! Also great acoustics for singing in the main room!
We had an excellent meal, with very good service. Our steaks were very tender and properly cooked - good sized portions as well. The only complaint would be that the vegetables served were not that hot or tasty.
Nice atmosphere to see local artists.
First time attending the open mike sessions,Gary P and the Wac crew did great job, local talent was amazing, definitely going back, very entertaining evening, really enjoyed👍👍
Very nice location. Really warm venue though.
Had a great time at the Open Mic at the Watson Art Centre and look forward to going next time.
I always have a great time at any event at the WAC. Keep supporting local artists and coming out to great events!
An amazing part of the community and a great venue for many events.

Beautiful church, now only a historical site (new church building is nearby). Luke, our young guide impressed us with enthusiasm for a site and details. Don't miss it, must see site in Dauphin!
Lovely building with lots of historical features. Building currently being restored. Had a lovely and informative tour and our guide, who was repairing one of the doors, gave us a historical overview.
Glory be to Jesus Christ! Beautiful church, but why the organ the statues, and no Iconostasis?
Beautiful church, worth the trip.

I always like to explore the museum whenever I’m in Dauphin. The depth of history is incredible! Love the red caboose! They let me try on the conductor hat and we had a long chat about how the telegraph was as ubiquitous back then as phones are today. Staff are very friendly and always willing to answer questions and share stories. This time we took the passenger train to McCreary and had snacks & beers in the observation car while we tried to spot telegraph poles. What a fun day!
What an amazing experience! Our host was absolutely fantastic and truly made the visit unforgettable. This place is great for kids, with plenty of interactive exhibits that kept them engaged. The train museum offering a wonderful "blast from the past" that everyone enjoyed. Highly recommend! Ps easy parking with RV, right up front. .
A delightful museum! J was excited to open up by appointment after hours. He showed us around the collection and told us the stories of the railway and history of Dauphin; a most illuminating time was had. The model railroad was impeccably done! You can email them to set up an after hours appointment
Great little museum. Love the large model railway that they built - includes hilly regions and city areas - really well designed. Lots of historical information on the northern railway routes. We had a great time and would recommend stopping in if you are in the Dauphin area. Thanks
Great place to visit. Very informative. To bad the city wants to destroy the old steam track turntable
This museum is located in the same building as the via rail on the CNR rail line. The museum is quite nice with a lot of small treasures linking Dauphin to its past. The model train set is really well done. You can spand as much or as little time there. Staff is very friendly Go and enjoy it :)
We visited this museum and had a delightful experience. There was so much information and the staff were so knowledgeable it is a "Must See" for any train enthusiast, historian or anyone who enjoys learning new things. The grounds around the station are also filled with surprises and history. Enjoy your visit, we sure did.
Took the kids for a day out and we all had a blast! The interactive exhibits kept them entertained, and they learned a lot about railway history without even realizing it. The miniature train ride was a huge hit. We’ll definitely be back!

Didn't wait to long. 😀
Can't call in for a traffic ticket since when? Manitoba needs to get up to speed.
(Translated by Google) The courthouse in Dauphin, Manitoba, Canada, is one of the oldest buildings in this city and was built in 1916 by Samuel Brown of Winnipeg to the designs of local architect Joseph Henry Bossons (1859-?). Today, this building houses the Provincial Court of Manitoba, with an accompanying prison unit. It has primarily criminal jurisdiction, as well as limited comparative jurisdiction with the Court of First Instance of Queen's Bench, [over those matters of law relating to families living outside the City of Winnipeg. More than ninety-five percent of all criminal cases in Manitoba are heard in provincial court, such as this one in Dauphin.

Nice place to visit. You can see , even feel how hard it was for first Ukrainians' pioneers raise, build the Canadian prairies, earn your self-respect.
We visit this site every year during the Ukrainian Festival (August Long weekend): there is an outdoor church service followed by a delicious lunch. The museum buildings on the site are filled with antiques that reflect the farming settlers from the area. It takes about an hour to wander thru everything. There is a small play area for small children to entertain themselves.
A true hidden gem. Great history and local lore. Well maintained.
I've only gone out to picnic. Nice quiet place. never actually been inside the buildings although I think you can get a guided tour.
We took our local cadets out here for some winter training it was great
A must see if in the area
Never went inside but many old buildings in amazing shape.
neat little place
