This popular stretch of sandy beach backed by trees features scenic views & waterfront dining.

Nice black sand beach, very scenic with beautiful sunsets. You have many restaurants and bars in the south part, but it's a bit too busy, so we linked the north part much better. It's in the protected bay so the water is very calm and it's shallow and good for the kids. There is also a nice restaurant at the north end of the beach, we didn't eat there but tried their martinis - they were quite good.

Coco Beach is a great local beach with silky black sand. There are plenty of activities and many local vendors offering some rare finds Pura Vida!

I wasn’t a big fan of Playa del Coco Beach. Compared to other beaches in Costa Rica, I didn’t find it as scenic or appealing. The area felt very touristy and a bit crowded for my taste. That said, if you’re looking for a lively beach town with plenty of restaurants, bars, and souvenir shops, Playa del Coco definitely has that to offer.

A good beach for strolls along the ocean. Swimming is easy and there are virtually no reefs. There are several outdoor showers on the promenade. A small playground is located in the park. Trash cans are available. There's a small skateboarding area. A basketball court. A soccer field is nearby. There are many restaurants along the beach. Municipal holidays and parades are held here.

Playa del coco is a lively and convenient beach town in Guanacaste region. Beach itself is walkable and great for sunsets. The water was overall calm for swimming and the whole area had a relaxed, easygoing vibe. Everything is accessible and close to beach - restaurants, cafes, shops etc. It can get busy at times especially during high season and weekends. Overall great beach and beach town.

Nice little beach town with an amazing bay. Super friendly people. We went on a boat tour of the area. The water was smooth and the tour guides were awesome. They provided us this music, beverages, fishing, whale watching and some site seeing. We stopped for lunch on the beach.

Sunday mass starts at 10am. Visitors are welcome and their support is very much needed and appreciated! Mass is in Spanish with the first reading being read in English to recognize the English community as well as visitors from all other countries. Announcements are also often communicated in both English and Spanish. Please join them in celebrating the Eucharist.

Beautiful church and congregation. Catholic Mass starts at 11am on a Sunday. Tabernacle was open for prayers before it. A beautiful statue of Our Lady. The church is now painted a brown/red colour. Mass in Spanish.

Wonderful church in Coco beach. Standing room only for 10:00 am mass. People from all over the world attended service. Father thank all from USA for our support. Very friendly parishioners like the rest of Costa Rica. They sell hand made local rosaries after mass.
