Great place to spend a day with the family. There are barbeque areas available with running water and electrical outlet. It might be windy up there, so bring some long sleeves just in case
It a nice place, don't assume it's name that it is a real Forrest, think of it like a big big backyard. It hace a really nice open green area, where everybody sits down and have their picnic. Theere are a few sections equipped with grill and so, for the lucky early birds tgar arrive to the site. Walking paths have no indications where you are at or if you want to get out, how to do it without expending hours of your life- a good thing if it's not raining, like what happened to me, if it's raining. ...- Finally and what really desappointed me was the so called river:If you are doing to walk though te trails, don't do it thinking you'll find the perfect river or water fall, cause you will sit and cry right there.
Pretty nice place to visit, clean and nice forest to safety walk, they have bathrooms, parking lot, security, among some other features. I really recommend this place!
Well worth an afternoon trip from Heredia. Buses leave Heredia frequently, on the 1/2 hour, I think, from the bus stop on Avenida 4, opposite Manuel María Gutiérrez Park. 600 colones for the ride. The trails are not especially well marked, but the park is small, and it is possible to feel quite "in the woods" without too straying too far or being too worried about losing your way.
Great hiking! Beautiful trees and creeks. No actual map so bring a gps if you are on a tight schedule. Otherwise it’s fenced in so you will eventually get back to the entrance. Fees are minimal ($9 for two adults and 2 kids plus a car) definitely recommend. There is no food inside so bring your own or venture out to the many restaurants outside. We found one right outside that was good (restaurante Carie) and there was a pond and a little boat you can rent for 15 min.
Very nice option for a picnic day
Excellent outdoor facility for families. Play areas for children and games. Walking trails through woods. A number of rancheros available with area for food preparation, a bbq (bring charcoal), stools for 5 people - available on first come, first served basis. Large and clean washroom facilities. Plenty of parking. Very low entrance fees make it affordable for everyone.
Beautiful place, you can go with friends, family and even pets. There you will have a big parking lot, restrooms, playground. You can also bring your bike and ride ir there. 2000 cólones Parking lot. 800 per person. Bring a sweater since it is windy and cold.

Really fun experience. About an hour and a half to spend time with it. My favorite was playing with the old children’s games outside.
It's a small but cosy museum that offers a peek to the past of Costa Rica. The house used to belong to the family of former Costa Rican president Alfredo Gonzalez Flores and it is surrounded by a small coffee plantation. The entrance is free on Sundays and the restaurant is excellent with fair prices.
The museum prepared different activities from time to time so there is always something new. They let us do a numismatic fair every two months and that's awesome
Opened only on Sundays, free entrance, small but cute. Worth visiting if you are nearby.
Visited on Friday 28 January and guy at gate advised that museum is closed until March '22.
Beautiful place , food amazing and cheap , amazing tour ...
Nice historical place. Delicious typical food.
Nice place to visit and to eat typical Costa Rican food

Really nice people and service
The saddest casino I've ever seen. No bar on the first floor and it's filled with only slot machines on the first floor.
Nice casino with a variety of slot machines, but all the table games are electronic
Bad place to go for a beer

Oxigeno Mall is always a beautiful and refreshing place to visit! 🌿🛍️ Every time I go, I’m impressed by its lush greenery, open spaces, and modern design—it feels like a breath of fresh air compared to traditional malls. The variety of stores, restaurants, and entertainment options is great, whether you're shopping, dining, or just relaxing. From high-end brands to cozy cafés, there’s something for everyone. Plus, the outdoor areas and walking paths make it perfect for a stroll with family or friends. The atmosphere is inviting, clean, and full of life, making it one of my favorite spots in the city. Whether you're looking for a great meal, some retail therapy, or just a nice place to unwind!
This is a nice concept of a mall. The stores are nice and plenty and the parking is normally adequate. If you are in Heredia, it's worth visiting
One of the most unique malls not only in Costa Rica, but the entire region. Plenty of parking, safe, food options and shops. Offers the experience of a mall while also being a park in and by itself. Especially good if you’re looking for a place to hang out and enjoy the evening. Sunsets are amazing from the rooftop park. Yes, park.
A very nice mall. I highly recommend the Mexican restaurant on the 2nd floor food court. Authentic. Outstanding! A great walk about and must visit mall!
This is a shopping mall that opened recently (as of 2019) and if you have kids, then this is the right place to go to! Your kids will love it. But there is also a food court some nice shops. I like the way this mall was built, doesn't look like the average mall. Make sure to go upstairs and enjoy the view of San José.
It is a really beautifull mall...The interior are great, plenty of services and stores, but the great feature is that ALL the roof is a big terraceca block size!... with view all 360º of the Heredia city and mountains... really nice place and very different of many malls even from other countries.
Wow. Wonderful place to spend the day shopping, watching people and eating! Plenty of parking inside and out.
It's nice but still growing to have more shopping stores also, the place is quite big and there no maps to locate the places properly... Sometimes you're going in circles
