A very entertaining and informative tour and demonstration of cacao growing and chocolate making, the guide was very funny. Walked us through the process of chocolate making and gave us tastes of the different steps. Delicious chocolate, bright frogs, howler monkeys.
Excellent tour. It is a small family-run business that features shade grown cacao in an educational, friendly, comfortable, and overall lovely property. The great green macaws even stopped by for a visit! The explanations were clear and the hands- on activities to learn about cacao production are wonderful for adults and children alike. Be ready to be wowed by the delightful tastes of fresh cacao, the different chocolate options, and hot cocoa drinks. Highly recommended!
Really nice tour!! Local guide Andrea took us on the tour for about 2hrs, assisted by Maria. We git to learn a lot about the basics, be part of the making chocolate from the grains to finish line. Definitely recommen d to do this tour here!!!
This was an incredible tour! There is so much passion from the owners about conserving the rainforest and helping the local farmers and connecting to yourself, the earth and the chocolate. In addition to the tasting incredible cacao and chocolate, there is a lot of wildlife to see. We saw so many poison frogs and even some monkeys!
Amazing our guy was amazing she was a really knowledgeable person and her amazing personality was so great, we Definitely recommend this place
This was so informative and so much fun! We went with a family of 5 and both the kids and we enjoyed it so much. It’s a family owned small business and they are really taking care of the nature and their environment. We learned about cacao and chocolate but also about the local culture, nature and environment. We could help and taste with every step in the process. For sure a go to when you are in Sarapiqui.
The frog tour with Geiner was absolutely fantastic! We saw many different species, thanks to his incredible ability to spot them so quickly. Geiner is extremely knowledgeable and clearly very passionate about protecting the rainforest and all the species that call it home. From the very beginning, I felt completely at ease walking through the jungle with him, despite my arachnophobia. His English is flawless, which allowed me to ask plenty of questions and have a lively, engaging conversation throughout the tour. I highly recommend this experience—it was one of, if not the, best tour I did during my entire trip to Costa Rica.
We loved this tour! The owner was so passionate about chocolate, Costa Rica, and it was amazing to learn about the process! Absolute highlight of our trip!
