The visit took us 1 hour but it was worth 3 centuries of time travelling while seeing all the collected materials Mr Zaid exposed and gave back somehow to life. Located in the middle of a rocky island, the view of bubbling water is just awesome 😊
So wonderful! Highly recommend stopping here and talking with Zaid. The museum has so many amazing artifacts and the mineral spring is beautiful! What a wonderful way to spend an afternoon. We were here about an hour and had a lovely conversation with Zaid! Blessings to him and his life endeavor!
Very nice place to discover the Berber and saharienne life
From the afar, you don’t know what to expect of this small but beautiful place. We were extremely glad to have stopped by, the owner and curator of this museum has created a beautiful story with his artifacts that walks you through the lives of the Berber in Morocco. His mission, which is to preserve the country’s natural beauty and clean up the landscapes that have been abandoned and sprinkled in garbage is inspiring. Stop by to see the admirable hard work of this man. Make sure you come with plenty of time, bc he likes to walk you through the museum and it’s more enjoyable if you’re not in a rush.
Very nice, interesting place. Well worth a visit and not expensive, 50DH per person.
We spent the night as we were travelling in our van and got up in the morning to visit the museum. It was a beautiful site with an extensive array of Berber and Moroccan artifacts dating back to the Neolithic period. All mixed with quotes from philosophers and citations on the intrinsic relationship between water, nature and the planet. Definitely a hidden little gem worth visiting that depicts Moroccan culture and history, the beauty of the Oasis and the importance of protecting water and nature. A beautiful reminder that all cultures, humans and animals alike around the world have settled and lived around sources of water.
A beautiful museum in the middle of the desert where you can have a tour with Zaid the founder of this place. You can really see and feel all the love he put in this beautiful little paradise.
