My sister and I did a Discovery Dive with Go West and it was my FAVORITE experience on the island. I was very nervous but our instructor Quint was extremely patient with both of us. He talked us through the nerves and kept us calm, even when I had to do one of the exercises twice. The Alice in Wonderland reef was so beautiful and I wish I had dived again while we were there. Looking to get my open water in my home city now! Thank you Go West Diving and Quint for an easy and amazing experience! For anyone who has never dived before and is reading through reviews, just try it! It’s very safe and is a completely different viewpoint from snorkeling. You won’t regret it! Random thanks to an experienced diver named Melissa who took photos of us! Idk if you’ll ever read this but you’re a wonderful person for capturing this experience for my sister and I! Big thanks and very grateful!! 😊
Well run dive operation! I found them just by wandering around from our rental and really liked their vibe. I took a snorkeling boat trip and did two shore dives with them and everyone was great. Loved the staff, solid equipment, nice diving. There is also a little public beach area there with food and amenities.
This dive center is located at a cozy and beautiful beach. The staff is really friendly. I’m glad I had my first dive with Caterina as I felt really comfortable taking my first breaths under water, like a meditation. 🫶Alice in wonderland reef is rich of corals and fishes and you can also see some statues. Bring a long sleeve shirt if you wanna avoid the little jellyfish stings, felt some but it’s really bearable.
I just returned from Curacao and completed my PADI Open Water through Go West Diving. I couldn't be more happy that I did it through them. They offered the course that included all the equipment and in three days (1 in confined water and 2 completing the open water dives), I completed the course. Diving at Alice in Wonderland was the highlight of my week in Curacao and I was so much happier I did it there than back home in New England. Petricia was very helpful in getting me set up for the class, while Charlie was the best instructor I could've asked for. Charlie was great at explaining everything and took his time to make sure I understood any questions I had. He was also extremely knowledgeable about the reef, pointing out creatures that I wouldn't have noticed, in addition to his technical diving expertise. I can't recommend Go West Diving highly enough!
I pretty much focused my vacation on the 3 day 2 tank dives. I ended up doing a snorkel tour with some of my family that do not have PADI certifications at the last moment because I felt it was gonna be better that other stuff they were gonna do. My biggest regret was not doing the lion-fish hunting class. But I got to tagalong and was overly interested in looking for lion-fish to help rid the reef of this envasiive species . The staff were awesome and there were absolutely no problems at all! I will definitely use them again if I am in this spot again. Sorry, I am not posting my boring GoPro underwear pics.
If you are looking to dive in curaçao then this is the place to go!! All (and i mean all) of the personnel are super friendly and helpful. We did 2 mornings of boat dives, one with Micu and another with Quint. We also did 2 guided shore dives with Micu right from their beach. She was super helpful in assisting us and making sure we were 100% comfortable in diving "solo" (without a guide) for the rest of our trip. Quint is an amazing guide and instructor, Stefan has amazing customer relation talents, Charlie is an awesome instructor, Patricia was amazing from the start of our reservation months prior to our arrival. Let's not forget the 2 boat captains that do an amazing job. Im sorry if I am forgetting anyone but A+++ for this dive shop!!!
We booked a snorkel tour with Go West Diving to see the Blue Room Cave and had an amazing experience! The entire team was so friendly, and the guides were fantastic at helping us spot incredible sea life while making sure everyone had a great time. I wish we’d had more time on the island to try one of their diving courses. If you’re looking for a unique snorkel experience in Curaçao, definitely book with Go West Diving!
Went on a snorkeling trip with Go West. Rob and Quint were very nice! The dives were nice. Very good boat ride!

Amazing experience to swim and snorkel with sea turtles. We didn't think we would encounter any but still decided to stop by. Surprisingly, we were able to see a couple sea turtles!
It is a beautiful place to swim/snorkel, and see turtles and diverse types of fish, but the locals have occupied all the main sand area with beach chairs they charge for, and they'll be pissed if you try to set your towel close to those, until you are very close to the water over the stones. Also, they almost treat the turtles like a zoo, giving them dead fish to control them, for you to get there and take a photo with the turtle in exchange for paying them some money. Fortunately, there is a small piece of sand to the left of the main area that is not covered with chairs, I personally found this area way more inviting and still can snorkel around or close to the pier and see but not touch nor feed the turtles
This place is almost a certainty to spot sea turtles however it is very busy with people. There is people feeding the turtles and a guy offering to let the turtle go on you belly. The beach is free so don’t be fooled. I don’t think this is the way to see and experience nature.
You will only see turtles here because they are lured in by the tour guides and locals. There are plenty of fish in the water. Likely, this is because there are a lot of dead fish scraps in the water. The locals prepare the catch of the day next to the beach and the blood and remains are discarded into the ocean. This made it a little unappealing for snorkeling. However, it is basically guaranteed that you will see turtles at this location.
It is a small nice beach but I did not like fact that people will swim next to the turtles and touch them. And there are some locals that want you to give them money for letting you do that kind of thing. I did not appreciate such a thing and the only thing I really liked was the color of the water and the entrance.
Traveled to this beach to see the sea turtles and they are definitely there, not as many as I had hoped for. I would recommend bringing swim shoes to get into the water as there are a lot of shells and coral. Great for snorkeling and swimming, we were there for quite some time just swimming around and there are several different fish, swimming on the right side of the beach I also saw sea urchin. You'll need money for the beach chairs there and wifi.
I'm officially a pretend snorkeling expert. This was amazing, truly amazing. I incorrectly assumed I'd be lucky to see 1 turtle.. Wrong! Saw 6 turtles large and small and the shoal of fish was breath taking being in the middle of them. Not disturbing, just being. Not being pretentious here, but snorkeling brings that out of you. You r a visitor to the sea life, so have to be on your best behaviour 😉. Reduce using leg strokes so not to injure your hosts and don't try to touch them, just snorkel with your arms. They will do the rest by being their natural selves. BTW there are sharp stones and rocks so enjoy, but be very careful. If first time snorkler don't worry after a few attempts and by swallowing half of the sea, you'll get used to it and really love it. Wish I could've stayed all day... but snorkeling is hungry work. Ohh forgot to mention there are 0 bathrooms, ammeities or anything else just the beautiful sea and sea life so wear your cozy beforehand. Enjoy, so worth it.🐟🐟
We took a scenic drive around the island and made a quick stop at Playa Grandi for a snack. While it was a bit crowded, the atmosphere was perfect for a brief, relaxing break. The highlight? The stunningly clear water, where we spotted turtles and a variety of small fish.

This is right next to Grote Knip. Most tourists visit Grote Knip, so this is less crowdy but same warm water and same beautiful beach. I liked this more.
It's a small beach with some nice sandy shore. The snorkeling was OK not brilliant but clear water. The facilities are a bit rough and not great. 15 dollars to rent 2 sunbeds which is ok if you plan to stop a while.
Overrated place! We paid $20 for umbrella and two sunbeds, which is outrageous b/c NO maintenance for anything. You have to pay $1.00 to use a bathroom. The beach is very small. No turtles and not so great marine animals were while we were snorkeling. The parking lot is too small and unmaintained, we've parked a car along the road. A huge disappointment - we traveled to here 53 min - and were very dissatisfied.
My favourite beach in the North of Curacao. Less touristic than others, less crowded, with beautiful white sand and clear water with excellent reef. If you do not arrive too late you will find free wooden palapas. Otherwise you can rent sunbeds. There's a little food truck which offers a variety of snacks, drinks and local food. The showers are free while toilets have one usd fee. There's no wifi.
Beautiful little beach with amazing crystal clear water. Beach chairs and umbrella were pretty expensive and the guy selling them blasted music from his speaker, which was extremely annoying.
free parking, entrance free. You havr to pay for use the umbrellas, but if you don't want to rent no problem, use the trees. 45 min from city center in vehicle.
Amazing beach! Get there as early as possible to beat the crowds. There are cliff jumping points at each side and they're super fun!!! Great snorkeling as well. Chairs cost like 6 bucks but who cares!!
What a beautiful place! Some of the clearest waters you can find at a natural beach. There are a lot of rocks getting into the water so had to be a little careful. However the water was incredible. A lot of good snorkeling options here too. The beach chairs were $15 usd for two so keep that in mind. But still worth a visit, we liked this over grote knip as it was less busier.

First thing's first, the road in, is absolutely horrible!! The coast is gorgeous though. Looks otherworldly with blues and the porous rock. You can watch the water shoot up but also hear the pressure in the rock. Don't turn your ankle though!
Plan for a bumpy ride and if you have a low car, drive slowly. Not the place to wear sandals! Make sure you are sure of your footing because you'll need to be able to view this crazy hole. Take some time to walk the other way, the area is pretty neat.
Don't go unless you have either a very sturdy car or 4wd because you are gonna drive on a very bumpy and sharp coral path. When you get there the walk is on very sharp old coral. Walk to your right and you will see it spray way before you find the actual hole. It makes for cool pix but be careful of that coral your walking on cause it's sharp !!
Amazing place to visit if you're in Westpunt. Lovely view, just make sure you have a sturdy car or four-wheel drive. 🤩🚗🏞️
Something you have to see if you go on tour ok curacao - make it frist stop and then see the rest Like another world and nature at it most beautiful display of force Road out there is like Paris Dakar note this!
One of the great attractions in the island. The drive is rough but worth the trip. The view is breathtaking. No tickets, no proper parking and no traffic. Enjoy the view and have a great time
One can drive or walk to it from Sabana Westpunt. A detour to the old Lighthouse is worthwhile for the view from the hill. Watamula itself can be spectacular, depending on sea current and wind.
The water hole is really cool. You do have to wait for the right moment to see the water space up though. The surrounding area is also beautiful. There is a beach nearby that you can stop by.

Friendly staff, great view, and tasty food. Picture of chicken skewers and peanut sauce. Group tried other options. Photo from the restaurant overlooking the beach where the sea turtles hang out. Some in our group did jump off the cliff.
Loved the views from this beach area. No chairs or shade unless you bring your own. The water was amazingly beautiful and blue here. There are spots for cliff diving and jumping if you’re brave enough. They have a nice restaurant on top of the cliff overlooking the water. The beach is not all that sandy so you may want to bring water shoes for walking and swimming. I would definitely come back to this beach for snorkeling and cliff jumping!
The restaurant that has this name is very dangerous when you are a tourist and you are going to pay your bill. I was charged twice as much as I should have paid because they charged me the price in dollars when it must have been in the local currency. It was the first place I visited and the man at the cashier knew what he was doing but he remained quiet as he received my dollars. The food is not bad but it takes forever for the service. I would never go back to a place that stole my money.
This is more of a local beach. I went around 9am and there were only a few locals. I walked to the far right side of the beach and snorkeled towards playa grandi. I saw a turtle about 100ft from the shore where the water was deeper. The beach is mostly made up of small rocks. There is a lot of sea glass. It is mostly okay for walking barefoot except for the occasional glass which is why I would wear water shoes anywhere on the island.
Playa Forti is incredible! Beautiful clear water, amazing views, and the perfect spot for adventure. You can even jump off the cliffs if you’re brave enough! A must-visit for anyone looking for fun and unforgettable moments in Curaçao 🌊💙.
Got there just before noon and there weren't many people there at all. A few families sitting in the shade with the kids playing in the sand. Soon after. More people arrived but it was still quite quiet. I did a little snorkeling and was excited to sit in the sand and not pay for a lounge chair.
Our favorite beach in the country! We kept driving there everyday. Best spot for snorkeling compared to other places. Not too many people. 2 nice restaurants close to it. You can even jump in water from one of them!
We visited Playa Forti in the late afternoon and really enjoyed the setting. The view is beautiful and the atmosphere is relaxed, which makes it a very pleasant place to stop and spend some time. The seafood pasta was excellent fresh, flavorful and truly enjoyable. However, we were disappointed by the chef’s special. It was quite expensive for what it was. Despite that the restaurant itself is charming and worth a visit for the view and ambiance.

Fantastic multi-day diving experience with Ellis. He 'warned' us that he dives like a turtle, and he wasn't lying! The pace of the dives is super-relaxed, giving you all the time you need to look at the amazing coral and other underwater life that one shoots past all too quickly during group dives with bigger companies. He clearly does not dive for profit, but for fun and enjoyment. The personal attention and eye for detail made these by far my favourite ever diving trips!!! If we ever come back to Curaçao (yes, please), we would definitely dive with Ellis again!
I was recommended to try Sublime Diving whilst in Curacao as part of an extended trip - I am so glad I did. Ellis was my diving instructor and buddy on this 2 tank dive on Monday morning, at 2 different sites, in the north of Curacao - and what an experience! Ellis is a true professional and very relaxed diving companion. All the equipment was hired and perfect for what was needed. A good safety and information briefing was followed by the dives themselves - we were lucky and had near perfect visibility which Ellis was able to choose because of his local knowledge built up over a number of years. I would definitely recommend taking the little bit of extra time and travelling up to Sublime Diving for the best diving sites and best diving school that Curacao has to offer :-)
We had an incredible diving experience with Sublime Diving in Curaçao. Danielle, Ellis, and Marlon are calm, patient, and very experienced instructors who take time for everyone and make you feel completely at ease. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly, and underwater they gave clear guidance while keeping the group together so we could fully enjoy the dive and the beautiful reef. We were even lucky enough to see a sea turtle right in front of us. If you’re planning to dive in Curaçao, go with Sublime Diving – you won’t regret it.
Highly recommend Sublime Diving! Second trip to Curaçao and we spent 5 days shore diving on the west end. Ellis and team were very friendly and accommodating. They kept us supplied with lots of Nitrox tanks and we were able to swap out empties 24 hours a day. Amazing! Ellis quickly helped us out on a small equipment issue to get us right back in the water. Will absolutely go thru them on our future trips.
I did my open water dives as part of my open water diver certification with Daniëlle, and she was an incredible instructor! She made learning to dive fun, safe, and confidence-building, explaining everything clearly and helping me feel comfortable with each skill. My partner also did a few guided dives with Ellis and had an equally amazing experience. Both Daniëlle and Ellis were so friendly, patient, and knowledgeable—about diving, the equipment, and the local marine life. They made us feel completely at ease and were just genuinely great people to spend time with underwater and above! They took us to four beautiful and diverse dive sites around Curaçao, where we saw turtles, seahorses, barracudas, spotted eagle rays, stunning coral, and so much more. They provided excellent, well-maintained equipment, and the pricing was very fair—we truly felt we got great value for the experience. We couldn’t recommend Sublime Diving more!
Ellis is a super friendly and skilled instructor. We had an awesome first diving experience! Very personal approach, he makes sure you are comfortable and confident at every step. We went on our first diving session with him, saw sea turtles at a beautiful spot and had a blast. Highly recommended!
My friend and I did an open water course here and had a wonderful experience. Everyone we interacted with at the dive shop was lovely and Dani was a fantastic instructor - patient and thorough but also fun and relaxed. The organisation was smooth, and the sites we dived during our course were beautiful too. We’d highly recommend training here!
Ellis is highly professional and a fabulous teacher. I was terrified of the water and diving and he coached me through it all giving me the time I needed to feel comfortable and was the best teacher I could wished for. I highly recommend Ellis and Sublime diving for you Curacao diving experience. He was extremely attentive and would take the time to explain things and make sure I stayed calm during the whole Padi certification.

Small fishing beach with a pier & a popular locale for snorkeling & swimming with sea turtles.
Slide 1 of 8
Amazing for snorkling with sea turtles. Snorkels for sale and rent. There are usually tour guides and locals who you can pay and they will put food out to attract turtles close
No problem if you cant swim. No need to bring any snorkeling gear. There's a local who hangs around the dock, who, for a small $, will call the turtles and make them swim over your belly as the local man help you float. Fantastic photo/video opportunity !
Playa Piskadó: a must-see in Curaçao for clear water and fish, including turtles! 🐢 Sadly, the place is overrun with tourists, which endangers the turtles' well-being. Respect for nature is essential. Did you know that green sea turtles can grow to be over three feet long?
Only beach we actually saw turtles at. Great for snorkelling as the water is quite calm and there are many fishes Tour buses bring large batches of tourists, but they don’t stay long and generally get confined to the area around the pontoon
If you want to swim and snorkel with sea turtles this is the place to be!! We saw multiple of them. Which is amazing! Just be careful to not touch them. It can be quite busy with tourists so also watch out for them before you get a kick. Wear water shoes as it is rocky at he beginning. Deeper in the sea near the boats you might find some turtles sleeping on the bottom of the sea. Also here there is more nice coral. And snorkel to the rocks to find much more fish! A fisherman is apparently usually on the dock cleaning its fish. This attracts other fish and also the green sea turtles. So not really natural... But you definitely will see them.
Small but you'll find turtles circling around almost everyday also grab a seefood prepared near by, straight from the fisherman. The odor of fresh fish might be uncomfortable for some people, but only near the pier.
Too crowded, not many parking spots. You can see a hundred people snorkeling looking for turtles :) it was hilarious. We decided to stay for 5 minutes just to look. It's very pretty though but it wasn't for us.
Definitely worth a stop but not to spend the day. Best bet is to arrive early 9-10 to avoid the tourist buses. You will see the fish and turtles being fed and don’t forget to bring your snorkel gear so you can swim with the turtles!! It is a nice beach to spend an hour or two; as the fisherman arrive and clean their fish it starts to smell. After all it is their pier. Never touch the turtles 🐢 Free entrance not sure of cost of lounger. Small snack shack.
