This occasion we attended Mornington Racecourse was for the 2025 Naidoc Ball. Food and Food Service by Waiters was excellent, the wait staff were quite approachable for any questions or requests. Very professionally presented and organised by Racecourse Hosts and Wait Staff. Very efficient. Good time had this year. Music 🎶 was a bit too loud this time as you had to yell to speak to the person next to you, but overall great.
For public events like concerts that I attended in the Mornington racecourse, you must carry your own chairs as this racecourse does not have any built-in seats. No permanent toilets. So the conditions of the temporary toilets were very bad - there was no water for flash or to wash hands!! There was no backup plane by u for rain or muddy fields. There weren't enough water stations for (only 2) local traffic management was okay.
Sunday 27 April 2025 Red Hot Summer Tour, Featuring ZZTop George Thorogood The Living End Rose Tattoo Dallas Frasca Great line up, ZZTop was awesome and so were the others. A really good day was had from beginning to the end. Good venue and an Excellent day was had.
We went for the monthly markets and found the $5 parking option to be very well organised and easy to enter and exit with plenty of parks for a number of cars. The markets were mainly high quality craft and food based. It was very easy to walk around and a great way to spend a Sunday morning.
Mornington Market is a great day out to look at local products and sample some nice food truck delights. It’s only $5 for parking be sure to have cash on hand and there is loads of parking. There are nice areas for a picnic 🧺
What can I say... loved this gig venue. Well thought out, ran like clockwork, and had a fantastic day out ❤️
Omg.. I've never done an outdoor concert, and my partner and I were a bit worried about what it was going to be like..First off, we started with 1927, amazing, as good as they were in the 80s, Then we moved on to the wonderful Southern sons, Jack Jones and the band were in fine form, Jacks voice is absolutely amazing 👏, we thought things were going ok, Then Kate Cebrano came on, WOW WEE!!!..Does she have a stage presence that blows you away ❤️, her voice is wonderful and her enthusiasm is beyond amazing..Then we had the lovely Daryl Braithwaite, he is good and been around forever. Then the one we really wanted to see Richard Marx, an amazing performer, and he was very humbled by the crowds reactions, by us being able to sing nearly every word to every song he sang 🥰.And to finish off an amazing day the Queen of Australian music(I'm sure there are a lot of others that can hold this title)🤣..The one and only Tina Arena, her singing as always was so perfect and she finished out an amazing day of bands. So, all in all, take a risk on the weather and get yourself to an outdoor concert at Mornington racecourse 😍. I'm so glad we went, BYO camp chair and small esky, and we were set 👍.Yes, food is very expensive but a lot of places are these days.
Attended Red Hot Summer Tour, didn't take too long to get in, it was well organised and facilities were clean.

We visited this rose garden on a Saturday afternoon, the weather was perfect and the garden looked splendid. There were a wide variety of roses blooming in the garden, I loved the colour combination of different roses, such as baby pink, golden yellow, and vibrant red. The garden was well-maintained, we enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and it would be a perfect place for picnic too.
Beautifully maintained rose gardens here. It's quite a large sized garden with an abundance of roses when visited in March 2025 on a Saturday. Free entry with free parking just outside. There's a donation box at the entrance (though you can donate online as well instead). Large rotunda in the centre provides shelter from the rain, ramped entrance available. No toilets, but you could walk to the playground area about 400m south and there's toilets there. Not a lot of mature trees to allow picnic shading but some spots available. The site also mentions a "viewing platform" which we missed, unless they just meant the front deck of one of the housing buildings atop some stairs. The ground/grass feels like it would be super muddy and sticky if it got some rain prior. Overall the rose garden delivers your expectation to view large variety of roses should you visit during season, typically around Oct - April. Thank you to the volunteers who made this possible, my toddler and I enjoyed our visit ❤️
What's not to love?! Beautiful roses in bloom that seem to be done by a lot of volunteer work. You will find every color of rose here. No price for admission. The reviews should be all five stars!!!! (I would love to see the people who rate this as anything less than 5 stars build and grow roses themselves). This is a quiet, beautiful place that people can enjoy for free.
Lovely gardens with some great varieties of plants. Very colourful roses nearly time for them to stop getting this late into the season. The grounds are lovely.
Came here randomly on the way home from the Arthurs Seat Eagle. Have been to Mornington many times and had no idea this garden and parkland existed. Had our lunch in the garden, was really beautifully setup and covers a decently large area. Worth a stop.
A gorgeous Rose Garden! Definitely worth a visit especially during the blooming season Nov to early autumn. Possibly half the size of the State Rose Garden in Werribee with just as many rose varieties & fragrances to engage the senses .. but do watch out for the busy bees! Wide paths are easily navigable pushing a pram or wheelchair with a large Rotunda with seating in front as a focal point. The stormy & wet weather that this area has had since spring appears to have wrought some damage to the blooms but there is still plenty to appreciate. Kudos to the volunteers who put in the hard yards to make it blooming beautiful 😍 🤩.Pics below on visit last Sun 7 Jan 24. Enough seating scattered around to enjoy the garden at leisure. A slightly raised viewing platform over the whole garden is located at the perimeter right corner opposite entry. Plenty of free parking which is a shared space with Mornington Regional Art Gallery across.
Always a lovely place for a walk 🚶‍♀️, great work by the volunteers 👍beautiful aroma this afternoon 🌹🌹🌹👌came for a walk 🚶‍♀️ in the sun 🌞 today 👌
Beautiful garden and it’s for free. So amazed of colour of the roses and they are so well looked after. There is a beautiful lake next to the garden, and plenty of ducks and goose 🪿. So relaxing to smell of the roses and walked around the lake.

awesome heritage house and gardens and they regularly have concerts in the gardens and in the house with afternoon tea and nibbles included in the ticket. Our local concert place in the Mornington Peninsula. Definitely recommend!
Wonderful historic grand seaside house & garden tour. Light lunch included.
We had a lovely day in Mornington visiting Beleura House in the wonderful care of really committed, generous and tireless volunteers. The morning tea service was charming, as was the opportunity to enjoy a rare touch of elegance. The scones and cream were a little below-par, though, for the price. The house is more like a ramshackle holiday home than a stately remnant of a previous era - very questionable taste in ceiling murals, and somewhat cluttered and overflowing with tired decor from too many periods. And I was disappointed by the Austen costume exhibition (the main attraction, for me) - far too few clothes. I would recommend having some made for the purpose, as an example of times past. I loved the Dame Nellie Melba connection - very intimate. I would also recommend allowing visitors on the house tour to wander in the garden, to get a proper sense of the property and to enjoy at their leisure.
Stunning historical gardens & house. Well worth the time. Love to come back for a show in the grounds. Sue was a lovely guide of the stunning gardens & the scones were delicious .
What an absolutely amazing experience The house and gardens are spectacular The staff and volunteers were first class and so knowledgeable about Beleura.I am on holiday from the UK and would highly recommend a visit for anyone visiting Mornington Victoria
What a wonderful experience at Beleura House and Gardens! Very much appreciated the lovely morning tea while Martin kindly gave us an insight into the history and background complete with photos. Viewing the house was unquestionably enhanced by Helen, our entertaining and knowledgeable guide. A huge thank you to all the team at Beleura - we'll be back to do the garden tour!
What an excellent experience. Very interesting history and superb display of exquisite furnishings. Truly excellent guide, Chris .

I visited on 16 Nov 2024 for the free National Works on Paper 2024 exhibition. This was an incredible selection of works that varied in medium and expression, but all delivered powerful messages. I posted photos of my favourite pieces with artists credited.
Small but lovely gallery with lovely works of Art. Our favourite as a young family was the kids section which occupied our sons while we perused art - win win! They also had a section where young writers had their winning essays on display & I really enjoyed reading these with my children.
5/5 for this place, been here a few times and it’s well worth the visit. Today was an exhibition by John Baird. Staff are friendly and helpful
I had a wonderful visit to the Mornington Peninsula Regional Gallery. The staff was not only friendly but also highly knowledgeable, which added depth to the experience. The gallery itself is a charming small space, creating an intimate atmosphere for art appreciation. One highlight was having the Archibald Prize Exhibition available locally. It's a fantastic opportunity for art enthusiasts in the area to enjoy this prestigious exhibition without having to travel far. Overall, a great cultural destination for anyone interested in art and a delightful addition to the local community.
Love popping in with the kids and walking through discussing the works. My 11 and 12 yr old love it. Staff are always so great. The energy in the space is so calming and having MPRG at our doorstep is such a treat.
Always a wonderfully curated exhibition. Loved the John Baird artworks, and the extra imformation sheets were great. Lovely staff and some affordable things in the small giftshop. Always love coming here.
Easy drive along M11. Great day trip place. Plenty parking some time can be busy need to wait a bit. You can bring foods sit down on picnic table and chairs 500 meters away from the beach! Peaceful and relaxing environment!
We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of exhibits in this unassuming gallery. Especially when it looks really benal from the outside. The paper themed exhibit is really evocative. Pillow stain artwork left us impressed, amused and thinking further. 🤔 Free entry!

When it's windy, pop ya waterproof jacket on and go feel the wind on the top of Schnapper Point. If you're brave enough, take a stroll along the pier but be prepared to be soaked! It's all about living isn't it!!?? The beach is lovely for a dip, lots of large rays zooming about in the water with you. Lovely clear water and quite protected, suitable for small kids. And fun for older kids jumping off the jettys
Good place for fishing and having lunch But the restaurant is closing very early at 3 o'clock At the coast normaly life start after work so it should be opened until late
A sweet and iconic spot to take a stroll and enjoy the charming bay and coastal views of Schnapper Point. If you’re lucky you might even catch a view of the beautiful family of stingrays that live and play in the surrounding waters. Worth a visit! ☺️
I took a drive down to Mornington Pier with my daughter on a clear afternoon hoping to see a wonderful sunset. Well, this spot did not disappoint. Though...I must say that it's a shame to see so many anglers throwing their tackle away and polluting the area with fishing line and lead sinkers. My daughter and I were enjoying the sound of the "Whizz" and "zzzip" of the lines being cast but we also saw so many fellows losing their fishing line, the lure and the sinkers. What an environmental mess there must be around this pier... Just an aquatic surface covered in millions of metres of fishing line, tens of thousands of lures and God knows how many lead sinkers. I just don't get the attraction to polluting such a beautiful spot. I understand that many men, and a very small number of women, enjoy a fish but this pier was shoulder to shoulder with eager anglers and no doubt lots more lost fishing gear the night we visited. But, the view of the sunset, which is why we journied to the pier was magical!!
Just an hour’s drive from the city a different world awaits. Locals come up for a chat in the evening breeze and large contingent of hobby fishermen attempt to land their dream catch. When the sun set we picked up our phones to capture the magic of the moment as if nothing else matters in the world. A waitress goes about her work unaware of the spectre. A precious moment.
Great pier for fishing, caught some decent sized snapper. It does get quiet busy so going early morning i can be a challenge to get a spot to throw a line in but the other fishers are generally nice people. Sunrises are beautiful as well when Melbourne's weather wants to be nice to us.
Didn't fish today but got some good drone footage. Nice clean part of the ocean. I'm sure fishing would be great here.
Mornington Peninsula is AMAZING! It took 1 hour and 15 minutes from Melbourne CBD to get there. We went to the pier. There was two hour parking free of charge near the pier and we had an amazing time looking at the breathtaking views of the sea. You could even take a fishing charter tours across the water. There were shopping stores galore. There were many places for kids to play such as a park we went to which where the kids had loads of fun. There was so many places to have a snack and you could happily spend your day. Make sure to bring warm clothes in winter because it usually colder there. It is not isolated and close to many suburbs so it is easy to get around to different places quickly. Overall, it was a great place to VISIT! :😀😍

Not many option you can see here. There are only 2 shops selling groceries here, Woolies and the local shop Henrys Mecarto. This shopping centre is smaller than Mornington Central. I saw 1 shop is empty, open for lease. I guess not many people come around here. It could be good sign if you are selling unique product that people looking and no one in mornington selling it.
Nice inside but the parking lot is mayhem! It’s a proper hazard zone. Everyone takes the pram parking spots to do their laundry, meanwhile I'm taking my two under two out half way down the parking lot.
Easy shopping can be hard finding a park some times
Was adequate to get your basic needs, lovely coffee shops.
They have the largest and best woolies in Melbourne area
Very busy little shopping centre with a great selection of shops
Local shopping centre very good selection of food stores and other shops. Worst car park ever!!
For a smaller shopping centre, it has a wide variety of shops from Deganis to Woolworths and my favourite Big Buns!

Super friendly atmosphere, unlike many gallery that feel cold, you feel the passion for art here.
Nice enough community gallery for the community. Its to small the demand for more studio based space is huge. There were plans for more studio and gallery spaces, a sculpture walk with a Cafe' . It has the land why the does council spend money on sports centres when people also really need a great working community ART centre.
At the Pet Project Exhibition. This is my latest pencil portrait of Marilyn Monroe with her pet. For sale until the end of July.
Lovely art displays. Moths were fantastic.
A really cute and beautiful small gallery that regularly holds new exhibits and very affordable art sessions for the public. You can also by rather cheap handmade art gifts there as well
great gallery supporting local artists as well as good courses and activities for everyone. Magnificent rose garden next door for inspiration and the main gallery across the park.
We had a group booking and felt very welcomed here. The staff were lovely and very helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and had a great time.
We loved being greeted at the front door by the lovely little grown up fellow, who told us that everybody has their own story ābout creative stuff and are we planning to be married in the rose garden.

Love this place so much, great to go with mates and have a great time. BUT if you have young children I would not recommend since in summer especially there are often teens having alcohol and jumping in but 95% of the time they are extremely chill and great people. Also be careful getting down since it can be a bit slippery
Beautiful place that is great for photos and videos, can be difficult to locate but great view once you arrive. Can be difficult to get onto the main part and can be incredibly crowded at times. I think it’s a great place for an hour or so but then best to move on further down to the proper beach where you have more space to relax.
The pillars are pretty good and have an amazing sun facing view of sunset. The pillars are a natural rock formation so it is important to remember that it isn't built for people. There is no easy access down to it, however there is a pretty okay path through some bushes which you can walk along to get down to the place. It is super important that you first test the depth of the water before jumping in and ti se where the rocks under water are. I personally recommend bringing a strong carabiner and a rope as it will assist you in getting out of the water, there isn't really an easy way to get back on-top of the rocks after you jump in. For the rest it's just a good time.
Eater is clean and view is amazing but there is any look out point made by council, you have to go throw the bush and climb rocks dangerously to have on visual. Do not take kids with you.
Beautiful views but please be aware it's closed now. You have to park your car around 1 km away and then walk along the road (without a footpath) to reach this place, so it's not safe
Great spot to go during the weekends, weekdays, or even the holidays there are tourist from various countries that u can meet even local Melbournians. Furthermore, be careful when jumping in the water as some of the waves are a bit harsh. Moreover, it can be quite a struggle since the parking spots are far away without a proper footpath so be careful and always stay aware when you are walking there.
It is a great spot to visit, especially on hot days, it will be packed with people. Historically it is a place for swimming and rock jumping for locals. I personally love the color of the water here. To get down to the area, you need to go through steep uneven paths, not too difficult though. Basically no shade here so prepare water/drink and sunscreen.
Great place only just over an hour out of Melbourne and it feels like somewhere off the coast of Italy. The jump rock isn’t that high but also the water you jump into isn’t that deep so try not to go down really far underwater when you jump because you’ll hit the bottom. There is no shade here and it’s really busy on hot days.

From my experience this group is extremely Culturally unsafe. Never ever again will I work with them.
I met the Baluk Arts team when they were showcasing their work in Sydney. I really liked one of the works they had on display, but by the time I came back to purchase it, someone else had beaten me to it! The work's creator, Lenny, was onsite and said she could work with me to create another one to my liking! She did. And it's brilliant!
Beautiful studio with some amazing stories and artworks inside, definitely worth a look if you're in the area!

Mothers Beach is a hidden gem for families seeking a safe and enjoyable day by the water. Nestled in a serene coastal area, this beach stands out for its calm waters, making it perfect for young children and those who may not be comfortable in the ocean's larger waves. The gentle surf ensures that parents can relax while their little ones play safely at the water's edge. The beach is well-equipped with essential amenities, including clean and accessible toilets and showers, which are a blessing after a fun-filled day in the sun. Families will appreciate the ample parking available nearby, making it convenient to load and unload all the necessary beach gear. The sandy shore is perfect for building sandcastles, and the nearby grassy areas provide a great spot for picnics and games. Whether you're looking to swim, lounge, or simply enjoy a lovely day outdoors, Mothers Beach has something for everyone. Its family-friendly atmosphere, combined with the safe swimming conditions and convenient facilities, makes it an ideal destination for a memorable day out with loved ones. Highly recommended for a relaxing family outing!
family getaway On the beach on the Mornington Peninsula There is a table for dining service for tourists. There are many seagulls flying. Keep coming and stealing our food. very fun and funny Next time I will visit again and get a lot of beautiful photos.
Quite a large and particularly clean beach. The water is very calm and the environment feels tranquil particularly in the non summer months when it is less crowded.
Loved it. Nice and beautiful beach to visit with kids.
The mother of all beaches in mornington. Great access on foot or in a vehicle. Generally very calm unless there's high winds. Fantastic for young families.
Great place for a swim or beach walk. Right next to the Main Street so ample parking options and also lots of places to grab drinks or food after the beach as well! Beautiful spot :)
A fantastic family beach, as there is a huge area for wading! Tables and chairs picnic area. BBQs and public toilets are handy. Cafes close by too.
A nice, clean beach with lots of sandy areas for the kids to play. Shallow sandbanks and some rock pools add to the adventure.

Nice to have family picnic huge park that kids can run around👌
The cleanest park I've ever seen. Nice to see that the public bins have a separate bin for the Container Deposit Scheme (similar to one in Perth). Great place to come for a walk, picnic or just to chill.
A great recreation area right on the shore of Mornington Beach. I attended a fun run that was located at Mornington Park and it was well organised, spacious and plenty of facilities such as water fountains, rubbish bins and toilets throughout the park.
What a great park. It has a terrific kids playground, lots of grassed areas, public toilets, a reasonable amount of parking, fixed picnic tables, and a boardwalk that takes you around the point and drops you on Mothers beach with its little strip of sand. It is also across the road from Mornington's main retail strip, making the park an accessible after lunch walk, or even the place for a takeaway lunch, such as the fish and chips we ate in the sun sheltered from the wind that was roaring across the bay. That's in winter, though, when it is busy but not crowded. In summer, all bets are off because all the delightful aspects are overwhelmed with holiday makers and day trippers and the entire peninsula takes on a different, more stressful vibe unless you're already there and not looking for a car park, place to eat, or space on the beach!
Mornington Park is a lovely spot for a day out, with plenty of open space and a great atmosphere for families. However, the picnic facilities really need some attention. There aren’t enough BBQs to go around, and the toilets were both dirty and overcrowded, with long queues throughout the day. It’s a popular park and has so much potential, but it definitely needs more facilities to match the number of people who use it. Hopefully the council can step up and improve these areas, because with a few upgrades it could be an outstanding place for the community.
Great park, with plenty of grass space to hang out and play. the views of the beach from the other side of the road is amazing! definitely worth a visit!
Lovely park in a great location next to the main shopping strip and nearby beaches. The park is well maintained and it is a great spot for picnics and gatherings. Dogs are allowed in the park on a lead and there's plenty of open grass area. Nearby toilets, lots of benches and even a small museum not too far away. Some lovely views of the ocean form the top.

Although it is a dog beach, and the sand and water may be more rocky than other beaches in the area, it's still a beautiful spot. We take our dog there often, and he loves it. Great photo opportunities as there don't tend to be many people here, and the rocky areas are great for exploring too.
A nice dog beach. Plenty of other dogs for socialisation, rock pools and shallow swimming areas for our pup! A few rocks for climbing around the side of the beach with our dog. Only minor issue is that some of the water is a little stagnant in places.
Great little 🐕🐕 dog beach, very rocky so beach footwear advised plenty of rocks to climb & explore ✅️enjoy your visit 💜 we kayaked around to royal beach today& went snorkelling 🤿great variety of fish to be seen 🐠🐡🐟,& we spotted 4 stingrays, hidden in the seaweed,🪸some pretty areas to explore with good variety of seaweeds ,also sea urchins, pretty sea stars & heaps of krill, excellent visability today & calm seas, fabulous day on the bay👍please take all your rubbish home with you& keep our peninsula beautiful 🥰🤿🐟🐟🐟🐟thanks
A designated year-round off lead dog beach. The pathway leading down to the beach is opposite the Royal Hotel. Nice high cliffs make it reasonably secure for dogs whose recall isn't the best. My main concern is that it's fairly rocky leading into the water. With dogs bounding around the rocks, I fear there are accidents and cut paws waiting to happen.
Small beach for dogs. Was quiet when came here. The sand is very yellow and squashy. Rocks all through the water. Not recommended for swimming. Unfortunately there was a little bit of litter.
It’s a small beach and the sand is rough and rocky. Unfortunately quite a bit of broken glass when we visited today, which was a shame. Not many dog friendly beaches around once daylight savings begins so it’s better than nothing.
Royal Beach is pretty and a really nice place to be. It was safe for the doggies to run around off leash and there were lots of fun areas to explore and check out. I enjoyed it.
Great dog beach, there’s heaps of fun things to drink for dogs. It’s a little bit Shelley and glassy sand (thick). But great for dogs.
