This venue is an ideal spot for young children to enjoy outdoor activities. With a range of equipment and activities, it caters to different age groups, ensuring that everyone finds something enjoyable to do. The location also features BBQ pits near the play area, making it a fantastic place for families and friends to gather for a meal and socialize. The combination of varied activities and social amenities creates a welcoming environment that encourages both play and community bonding. It's a space where laughter and fun fill the air, and memories are made. The overall setup ensures that everyone, from the youngest to the oldest, can participate in the enjoyment. This place truly offers a perfect blend of recreation and relaxation for all ages.
A small enclosed area with dual flying fox, basketball court, canteen, treasure hunt and a partially under cover climbing obstacles, no monkey bars. A nice place to hang out and a bike trail is also nearby.
Magnificent playground for young kids and toddlers. It has 2 basketball rings and a flying fox. Park is also near an oval and alongside a nice bike ride that joins the main Yarra trail and other bike trails. Bbq and toilets available Warmly recommended
Very good place to enjoy a good exercise with family and friends. Clean toilet facilities Benches to relax and have a bite. BBQs areas, so you can bring your own food and take your rubbish with you Wide view of nearby areas, Yarra river next to explore and enjoy the nature Highly recommended to visit Ps: beware of snakes during the October to March season. Put on a full cover shoes and long sleeves to be on the safe side 🥴.
The kids absolutely love this place. The huge playground has so many things for them to do. The slides are great. The flying fox is fast but fun. Lots of places to sit and relax. Love that it's fenced in. One of the loveliest parks in the northern suburbs. Lots of parking too.
Very nice place for a walk. Going there because of girl’s cross country event
Nice playground, great for kids. A variety of play equipment. Seating is available. Pleasant setting away from roads. Parking is close and so is the Main Yarra Trail shared path.
Good for kids, pretty safe has a toilet. I only gave 4 stars because I've seen parks that are more fun than this, with water park etc. anyway, a fun place to take that special little person.

One of my favourite places to walk the dogs. It's a beautiful park with bell birds and I have seen black cockatoos here as well. Great picnic area and playgrounds.
Great for walk run cycle walk the dog. If you drive a bus make sure to park in The Boulevard not Irvine st
Literally one of the nicest parks I have ever been to. Huge. Walking tracks, sports facilities, playground, tennis courts, you name it, it’s here! Somehow not even any flies even in the middle of summer. Lots of trees for shade. Dog friendly. So great.
Great little suburban parkland / ovals nestled amongst dense bush land. There is plenty of space to spread out and enjoy a picnic or a kick of the footy. Chelsworth is maintained by the local private school (as they use it as their sports ground), so it’s very well kept. Just beware that this is also the local off-leash dog area, so if you’re not a fan of dogs, suggest you stay away during early mornings and late afternoons. There is plenty of free parking. There is NO playground here.
Excellent park all year round. Well maintained. Grew up in area so am very familiar with its surrounding area. Walking paths beside Yarra River leading from Chelsworth Park around to Wilson Reserve which has a good size children's playground with rustic park bench/table. The main park has sitting benches and is dog friendly but be advised, place your dog on a leash when walking along paths beside river in case of snakes. Toilet facilities at football pavilion. However noticed there is no wheelchair ramp or facilities available. There's another small playground overlooking a picturesque billabong near carpark at football oval. Opposite the Park is Ivanhoe Golf Links.
Beautiful, massive, green park with sports fields, baseball, soccer, AFL and cricket (both synthetic and real turf pitches). It's a doggy heaven, even has a bag dispenser for when your pooch does a Warney and drops one on a good length - as mine invariably does 😛
Nice park with 4 soccer pitches and tennis court

Love this place, great for a picnic, saw (and heard) a few bronze wings, cockatoos and magpies included
Great place for a run. Nice and open with good wide paths - easy for everyone to enjoy. Lots for ducks too
Best place for morning or afternoon walking. Beautiful park with lots of picknic area, also suitable for people that like to walk their dogs or free them to play with other dogs.
Home of Wild Stride Fitness and the Heidelberg West Football/Cricket Clubs. Really well maintained oval! Run many laps here :)
Nice area and tree lined grounds; standard footy oval. The grounds and oval needs some upgrading.
Nice trail around here and a good spot to watch the footy
Very well kept football field. Ampke parking with lights for night games.
My son works for RECLINK and he was running 2 programs for disadvantage people in the park it was a wonderful day

The library is fantastic with everything you need. There are quiet spaces and spaces that allow discussion and children's area. Computers, chess, and even a big screen for video games. There is also a cafe inside. The only downside is that the library attracts lots of people and the library can get a bit quite full. There is always a spot but sometimes it's hard to find a table for a group of 3 people. Free 3-hour parking available outside the library. There are also recharging parking lots for electric vehicles.
Such a beautiful building! This place has got it all: - seating areas scattered throughout - a cafe! - a great collection of books - a gaming console - private meeting rooms - quiet areas/study areas - an outdoor seating area on the top floor! Just to name a few things… Money well spent.
2024: Quite a lot of funds have been put into it's construction and it shows. This full fledge library has everything, muilti-tiered levels for mixed use purposes. Exhibition space, quiet zones, and areas for media consumption. There's also information about the Heritage Walks available for the surrounding area.
Very nice, ample, well lit and comfortable building. Good schedules as well to spend time in.
Cecil is very nice and helpful. This library is so modern and nice presented. Love it
This library used to be the perfect place for quiet study. However, since its popularity has grown with younger students over the years, it's been way to loud. Something needs to be done about the noise level. This isn't a library anymore, it's the after school hangout spot. I'd rather go to a real library which provides a quiet space.
Using the maker space was a pleasure. The two Prusa 3D printers were humming pumping out creations. I enjoyed the new 60W Emblaser Pro laser engraver to cut out my project. Staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I highly recommend locals use the fantastic resources available at the library.
Fantastic library for kids and adults. Great collection and sessions for kids of various ages and lots of quiet space for studying or reading.

What I love about The Mall is that it still hasn't changed for over 10 years. It's not trying to be something it's not, it has character and the people are down to earth. The food is great and you can't beat the local Vinnies. The Mall is where it's at!
This place brings me back to the 70s 80s and the 90s! Love it!
Hasn't changed much in 20 years. Lots of signs of drug use (a few dirty needless in the carpark) and drug deals going on in the middle of the day, with lot's of people from certain social demographics that made me, a person from the LGBTIQIA community, feel unsafe in the middle of a weekday. Couldn't imagine after dark. Shame bc there looks to be some interesting shops

Great park for the kids My children always ask to go to this park as it has a lot of different activities options for different ages. It is also good because the park is fully fenced. The skatepark is always buzzing with different ages and levels using skateboards, bikes and scooters.
Good and safe place for kids to play. In here water taps, BBQ facilities available too. So people can do picnic and parties
Came here to set up a display for their council fete. Felt clean and spaceous and there was good parking options both inside the carpark but also around along the side streets. Would definately take my kids gere to adventure
Great park. Has everything. Basketball court, small soccer field, open park land to play sports, walking/ running trail, kids playground, random outdoor gym areas, bicycle maintenance stand, dog park, toilets, barbeques and seating and benches, skate park
Small reserve for the locals. Interesting activities (e.g. lantern festival) organised by the council. The ground is uneven so you'll need to pay attention when you walk.
A big park with two little sides side by side, straight slide and curve slide. 5 swings three normal one toddler and an all abilitie one. Little toddler area has a tunnel which leads to two wheels you can spin, coloured abacus, two round circle you can climb through or put your head through, three colours wheel like things out can spin, speak and listen device and some little steps. Main structure has a long bridge that has coloured abacus on one side ago other side has counting cubes, a clock face you can spin other side has coloured circle you can look through. Two tunnel one up and one down. Two four person spinners that you can sit on, two other spinner that you can stand on. A bird nest swing, two flying foxes, a bunch of other swing like things. Some gym equipment as well in to different places. A big climbing structure made out of ropes. Has toliets and multiple drinking water taps. Lots of rubbish bins and barbecues. Undercover tables with bench seats and other seats around. Skate park for everyone to bring skateborads, bikes and scooters, a full basketball court and a soccer filed. Lots of open grass area for kids to play on or have a picnic on. Also has a fenced in area that is especially just for dogs.
This is a fantastic playground for kids of all ages. There are three flying foxes (one for little toddlers, and two for big kids and adults), a dual rope climbing structure connected by a rope 'bridge', lots of swings, pretend ships for climbing and running, two skate parks for differing skill levels, and a separate BMX course with three jumps. There are separate exercise stations around the park, as well as BBQs with cover. Great for families. Basketball court as well.
A very well equipped playground with play areas and equipment for all ages. Skate ramp, flying fox, climbing teepee, bbq, shelter, swings, tunnels, walking paths, outdoor gym exercise equipment, toilet. Has lots to offer and great potential But needs better landscaping to create a truly magical and fun experience.

Montmorency Park Playground is a delightful small/medium size playground. With activities suitable for a children aged 1-12, and drunk children aged 16+. There is also a BBQ, a Basketball ring, and two large sports ovals.
Big open green area with two football / cricket grounds. Tennis and netball clubs close by as well. Ample car parking and well kept. You don't need to do organised sports to appreciiate it though. Plenty River Trail runs by / along side it if you want a bit if adventure.
Been attending to watch grandson play football. Reasonable ground. Has a kiosk and a coffee van.
Went watch my grandson play cricket. Beautiful setting. Did not go into the clubhouse. Everyone very friendly whom I spoke with !!
I especially liked how much Montmorency this park contained. Would definitely try it again.
Not a bad place for a walk or jog. The actually river and foliage around the river needs a good cleanup. The council around this area appear not to care about this aspect of their parks and gardens…..unfortunate for residents as other municipalities take pride in their gardens and parklands.
Good local ovals for kids to play on and kick the footy. Kids enjoyed watching women's football matches a few weeks ago when they were played here. Local cricket teams also play here in summer. Also nice to go for a walk along the river path.
A great place for walks by the river, beautiful scenery

My favourite local park for a looped walk. It takes me about 30 minutes for a full loop. I love how even though there’s a train line and homes all around, it gives you the feel of being in nature, it’s such a beautiful parkland. Lots of open space for off the lead dog play. It’s wattle season, and you can’t go past these magnificent golden blooms.
Due to more people doing outdoor exercise and getting dogs, this park has never had so many visitors. We discovered more things since we were also going alot more. Council takes good care of the park. Wish they would put a bouldering/climbing wall under the station, a skatepark (there’s plenty of space for one), or at least a basketball court ;-)
Quite a long park with a creek dividing it in two sides. The park has plenty of dogs, playgrounds, seating areas, and even a BMX area. Running the adjacent to the rail track from Rosanna, this spacious park suits dog owners and older children best.
Beautiful native park with Salty Creek running there. Well established kids playground. Very quite and peaceful place to spend time with your family or just to walk your dog
Expansive park in the heart of Rosanna. Dog friendly, kids play area, and creeks. Great place to relax with friends and family
Great parkland to walk around. Thereis a play area for the young ones. The sound of the birds is quite calming while strolling around. A well worth partcto attened
The best park for both kids and doggie. Very close to rosanna Station, easy to park. And Peking for free. But doesn't have drink fountain.
I really love taking my dog here, everyone has fun and dog owners are generally respectful when it comes to any little tiffs between other dogs. But damn guys if your dog takes a poop pick it up. It's not hard.

A picturesque footy field, with one entire wing flanked by bush. Unfortunately our eldest fractured his wrist in two places that day, but the medics and home team were wonderful in stopping play and getting him transportable to hospital. Oh, and the food offerings were very tasty!
Nice footy field tucked right below Greensborough plaza so handy for a coffee or shop while the kids play footy. Gets a bit muddy but that’s just character building.
If your a Carlton fan and you want to see a team you support actually win I would come here and see st Mary’s dominate
Would go to this park for kids bike ride and a walk. Love it.
Mixed use park, footy ground and club house; bike and walking paths. Plenty of greenery and free parking. Near shopping centre
Large football oval with interesting adjacent walks. Some along and some over the river. Good tracks for kids to ride their bike, kick a ball or run around.
Mostly walk through this on the way to and from home & the Greensborough shopping hub nearby. (Have not used any of the sporting club services at all) Very pleasant area, scenic and lush! Great amount of native birds visit the park. -A fair bit of refuse collects around the area also though, which my friends n I pick up and dispose of each time passing. Would be great if more frequent bins & recycling bins and/or visitors took thier rubbish out with them! (Or even better signage to encourage such)
We take our two dogs walking here, they have some nice tracks to walk along and there is plenty of nice trees and plants to look at.

Current Exhibition ...Truth Beauty and Utiliy. The Arts and Crafts Movement in Heidelberg....is so comprehenive. An absolutey facinating insight into the period 1880 to 1930 approx leading to the construction of the more prevalent Californian Bungalows and earlier Arts and Crafts Ivanhoe homes in the area and across Melboure. Including Art Nouveau design. The curator who is usually there on Sundays 2 to 4 throuhout this exhibition has a great understanding and put this wonderful exhibition together. Well worth visiting. I think I spent 1.5 hours taking it all in slowly, and I still want to return to study the small part I missed. More interesting than the Evis Presley Exhibition in my opinion. But you do have to study and understand displays, photos and text carefully to fully appreciate the exhibition and this period of 'home beautiful' in our local history.
A wonderful group who helped me research the history of my home and it's owners. I rang and made an appointment, which gave them time to do some reseach before I got there. Many thanks to all
A lot of love and professionalism goes into maintaining Heidelberg's history.
Was a little disappointed with the 'Remembering '67 Exhibition', expected more from the Museum.
I found this museum very interesting

Kalparrin Gardens is a lovely tranquil playground in Greensborough. It’s completely fenced in so you can immerse yourself in FaceBook drama whilst the kids play, without worrying about them being snatched by the local water fowl.
Great little park. Very pretty place to walk around and enjoy the lake. This area used to be a man made waste land and the lake a catchment for the stormwater, well it’s still that but it’s very pretty now with lots of car parking and is also a stones throw from the plenty river, it’s dog, bike and kid friendly place but I would not swim here.As you can see we played boats in here and the boat turned brown. Still a great place to exercise
Amazing park. Very big. Lots of different areas to go for a walk, play in the playground, outdoor gym, toilets and picnic area
Plenty of shade for the kids. Great fun feeding ducks. Pretty cool playground.
Beautiful place to walk. Bring some oats down for the ducks. Lovely walk along the lake. BBQ area with beautiful green surrounds. Great playground for the kids. Clean toilets. Dog friendly.
Playground could use an update, benches had recently been replaced, which is lovely to see, the natural features are beautiful. We love the little bridge by the playground with the ducks. And the new "boardwalk" path makes the walk around the park really pram and bike friendly. No drinking fountain or taps near the playground unfortunately, and no longer water by the BBQs, it was recently removed and I don't know if there is a plan to replace it considering the proximity of the BBQs. Also no direct path between the playground or lower path and the bbq shelter, so difficult with a pram. there's a water tap at the skate park. We love the birdlife, and there are turtles in the lake! Just down in plenty river there are a few platypuses which we have been lucky enough to spot occasionally.
Lovely to watch the baby ducklings. A great place to walk my dogs.
Very nice scenic beauty, with lake, grass ground, shaded sitting area. Kids play area though smaller is good enough for toddlers. Kids can also enjoy watching the ducks swimming, trains passing by and variety of birds. Overall nice picnic spot in this lockdown times..

Loved the birds, there sadly wasnt much space to sit around the water and take it in. Overall... beautiful, peaceful and everyone using the park seemed very respectful of each other
Very cool place to walk in the weekend. But it is not easy to find toilets nearby.
This is what they call a park . Well it’s not really it’s a few paddocks with.a bike trail though it . However it’s a great bike trail goes to Research one way and the city the other way . If you turn off the track next close to the river their are great mountain bike tracks
Great place to walk or ride. Dog friendly off lead as long as they stay off conservation area which is fenced (just watch the gap under the gate). Be careful of snakes in summer if you stay away from the water and keep to the path shouldn't be a problem. If you're lucky you might see some kangaroos!
Good bushland and trails close to CBD
A really nice and not too busy dog off lead park. Great to feel that you're a tiny bit off the beaten track.
Awesome windy single-track for those adventurous enough and great gravel trails for those looking to cruise.

Great place to unwind
Banyule Swamp is a haven for natural wildlife, no hand-feeding of birds makes for a very natural experience. No dogs allowed. Many water birds, bush birds, kangaroos at a distance, echidna near the adjacent billabong.
Very large reserve beautiful and long paths river, little dam... stunning
The weather affects the ground, the people are nice but the change room is a storehouse and very tiny room
Gorgeous, peaceful, and an excellent spot for birding and enjoying nature :)
Thanks to those with the foresight to conserve this area. Beautiful place to walk along the Main Yarra Trail

Wilsons reserve is one of my favourite places for an easy accessible escape. Within 5 min walk from the boulevard you are immediately immersed in nature with the sounds of the birds taking you to another world. Many walks to take from this location that can range from a quick 15 min lloop to an entire day walk and everything in between. Love, love, love this place.
Nice spot to walk the dogs. Dirt/muddy pathways that run in behind a few golf courses and the river with wetlands and a billabong along the way. Was pretty busy with runners and cyclists on a Sunday morning. No bins anywhere so pack out your rubbish
It's hard to believe one can be transported so easily from a buzzing city into tranquil bushland with the wondrous sound of Bellbird throughout. The bike trail along the Yarra River is a must.
Gorgeous place to go for a walk, dog friendly and on leash area. Beautiful scenery and wildlife.
Great for paddle launch point. Just gotta walk with kayak for a bit but worth it.
Beautiful place to have a nice walk close to the Yarra River. Good for cycling too. Peaceful place and less crowded. Hardly we can see people here. It's good for a couple or a family with kids. Just sit and relax on the river bed and listen to noises of nature.
Wilson's reserve is a really excellent walk. The walk is quite easy, mostly level with a solid well used dirt track and in places a wooden board walk. Very pleasant stroll along the river and through the wetlands. Toilet facilities are close to the car park.
Beautiful walking track with great routes! Lovely area for the kids too
