My wife and I joined one other couple for an all day jet ski tour of Tahaa. We were picked up from our AirBnB and headed over to Raiatea Jet in the morning and went over some of the safety and other expectations for the day. Jérémie and his assistant were excellent guides and made us all feel welcomed from the start. We were stocked up with juice and water and headed out by 9:30am. It was fun going full speed and spending the day on the water, but what made the tour special were the other experiences that Jérémie had planned including a visit to a pearl farm, rum distillery and vanilla plantation. We snorkeled in a beautiful coral garden and saw blacktip sharks. We especially enjoyed the Polynesian lunch on a motu. There were sting rays and sharks there too. We sampled a variety of foods including bread fruit and coconut bread. The papaya was delicious. Jérémie told us stories and shared information about the islands. He took photos and videos to make sure we would have images to remember the experience. We made it back just before sunset with smiles on our faces. By the end of the day, we had an opportunity to see the island of Tahaa and learn about a few of the local industries there all while making new friends and having fun on the water.

(Translated by Google) Raiatea Jet provides an excellent and customizable service (both in cost and duration). For example, there is the possibility of doing the Thaa or Raiatea Jet Ski tour depending on your preferences, both of these 2 guided tours last at least 4 hours and the cost is €250 per jet ski (2 people). You won't have to worry about anything (apart from driving the jet ski XD) because they'll take care of everything; from snacks to drinks, including lunch and masks for snorkeling as well as transfers to and from the place where you are staying. Jeremy was very helpful in accommodating us with everything and even offered us to take a shower when we returned from the tour. My boyfriend and I took a private excursion lasting almost 6 hours; we stayed on a private motu and a public one (where you could also camp), we swam with sharks, saw dolphins in the distance (which we were told is very rare)... Everything was truly beautiful! Maybe it would have been even more beautiful if the sky had been clear (unfortunately it was quite cloudy), so take a look at the weather and book a few days in advance to be safe! We missed the tour on a sunny day because we had called the evening before and Raiatea Jet was all busy, but in any case we had a lot of fun even driving with a bit of waves due to the weather XD (Original) Raiatea Jet fornisce un servizio eccellente e personalizzabile (sia per costo che durata).

An interesting and very unique pearl shop built out over the lagoon. I cam here as part of a cruise tour and the views were incredible. The owners gave demonstrations on how they prepare and then later harvest the black pearls. Also this is a decent spot for snorkeling but be advised, there can be moderate currents here so you should be a proficient swimmer.
What a fabulous experience! We moored our sail boat on one of their mooring balls, and they sent a boat to pick us up at 9am the next morning for the tour. The tour is incredibly detailed and informative, both about how pearls are farmed and the history of pearls in Tahiti. The jeweler is a true craftsman. The snorkeling out front of the farm is the best we had on our whole trip!
We chose the dove for your pearl experience and it was unreal! The snorkeling area was incredible and full of life! We were so proud to find our oysters and get our pearls! It was an experience I'll treasure forever! The staff was exceptional and friendly and the demonstration of harvesting was fascinating and informative. The shop has beautiful tasteful jewelry and I came home with a few extra pearls for my collection! Loved every minute and so very grateful for the unforgettable experience!
A great tour and learned a lot about pearls and the whole process. Great snorkelling afterwards too.
Summer and her team are amazing. I had been planning our engagement for months and Summer had organised everything, so that I could propose at the Pearl Farm itself. All of the jewellery is beautifully handmade and the tour itself was lots of fun and informative. We even got to snorkel around the farm itself. Thanks so much for this once in a lifetime event. We can’t wait to come back and visit. Jordi and Ilaria.
Had a wonderful afternoon learning about how pearls are cultured and snorkeling around the over the water shop. Purchased an affordable, yet quite beautiful pearl as a keepsake of the trip. Great staff and outstanding jewelry. Very much worth the visit.
They demonstrated the entire process from seeding the oysters to harvesting the pearls. It was very interesting and we learned a lot. There are very nice pearls at all price ranges for sale duty free. You can also snorkel around the hut. There are many colorful fish and a lot of large blue clams in the reef. It's well worth a visit.
Very interesting and fun! I never realized what goes in to the process of cultivating pearls. Beautiful jewelry and great staff. Thanks Summer and Reno (sp?).

Great charter. Amazing experience. TLDR: Awesome location, great base and staff, Oliviere was super helpful throughout the trip, boat was in great shape (Bali 4.6 Super Premier). I would come again, but at a DIFFERENT TIME of year when Maramu is less likely and hopefully less clouds/overcast. Having the winds 20-25 knots from SE-E makes travel between the islands which are on a E-W axis difficult mainly when going east. Lengthier Notes: WHEN TO COME: We came in June to July for 10 days. One day was 15-20 knot winds, and the rest of the days were 20-25 knot winds forecasted out of the EAST and in reality (20-43.8 knots). You get used to it, but being at an anchorage with 20-30 knots going through the entire night was new for us. The unfortunate downside of so much wind (the ‘Maramu’) is the water was choppy everywhere so not those clear mirror water photos we were expecting. I was surprised because every guide says now is the dry season and best time to visit. RECOMMENDATION: Come during September-October when it is dry and less chance of the Maramu winds. ROUTE: Boat (1 night), Raiatea to West Tahaa (1 night) to Bora Bora (3 nights, wish stayed longer) to Raiatea (1 night) to Apu Bay (1 night) , Iaorana Pearl Farm (2 nights), Hurepiti Bay (1 night) and Marina (1 night, early flights next morning). Huahine/Raiatea/Bora Bora are on west-east axis so winds out of the east mean nice downwind sail west, but motoring your way back. Bora Bora back to Raiatea was a 4-5 hour bash, 2,500 rpms, 5-6 knot slog into 8-10 foot waves - we did not go to Huahine because bashing for 5-6+ hours in 25 knot winds did not seem attractive after the BB to Raiatea bash. IMPACT OF WINDS: Large attractiveness of area is anchoring in 2m on giant water bank mirror and water sports…which is awesome, until the winds come. Then water is obviously choppy so we missed those gorgeous window-like mirror shots. LAND ACCESS: With choppy waters, if you want to go ashore you must be deliberate in restaurant or pearl farm with a dock. The majority of motus are private/tabu and there is limited access to land. We had 3 kids aboard (including a toddler). With the wind, the areas to swim in were super choppy and couldn’t get ashore easily so the toddler got, um, restless…lets say. Caribbean, the Med, Pacific Northwest have way better shore access. Learning new factors to consider when sailing with a toddler (other kids were another couple on boat). Beaches are pretty when you can see them, but the majority are all private so looking is most you can do. Kind of bummer. BORA BORA MOORING BALLS: Once you are here, you just text with them. They will take reservations. We did not find a problem getting a ball though I would not roll up at sunset assuming there will be one. BALI 4.6: A floating RV. It serves its purpose. I would not sail it around the world, but it is an awesome charter boat and concept, especially the enlarged saloon. Things we did not like: 1) VHF only in the saloon only so when sailing the skipper does not have direct access to VHF and has to go from fly bridge to saloon (annoying) or ask crew member. 2) Aft cabins don’t have adequate ventilation due to flybridge stairway design = you either sweat all night or you run the genny for AC. We ran the genny. :( 3) Flybridge - the helm station is on a pedestal which is great for folks to move up and down without the skipper having to move, but all the lines are far from the wheel meaning the skipper must fully leave the helm to adjust sails or use crew members. In light winds not a big deal if you use autopilot, but a pain when trying to handle weather helm in heavier winds. 4) Energy management - you NEED to run your generator daily to keep power up for all the amenities AC/giant fridge (which was awesome) which is fine for a charter, but long-term not sustainable. Navily app is your friend. Bora Bora was the best - everyone was so friendly. Overall, loved the trip and DYC was great. 16th charter and my second one with DYC and I would do it agian.
Wonderful experience. Great yacht, great accommodations and staff at Raiatea, and amazing sailing. Sailing from Raiatea to Bora is easy on a broad reach, made about 4-6knots. Sailing back is much tighter on a close-haul, and took a bit longer. We did 5 nights and wish we did an extra two nights. Note: a pilot takes you in and out of the Marina, which is super helpful - but they are on break between 12:30-1:30pm, so time your departure or arrival accordingly.
Chartering a catamaran with Dream Yacht in French Polynesia was an absolutely incredible experience. The boat was new, well-equipped, and perfect for exploring the stunning lagoons and remote islands. The service was top-notch, and the Skipper was fantastic. . Sailing through crystal-clear waters, snorkeling with vibrant marine life, and anchoring in paradise each night was truly a dream come true. Highly recommended!
Friendly staff and wonderful service. It was so fantastic experience for us sailing in French Polynesia. Thank you for your service and support. Definitely, we will come back again.
We splurged on renting a cabin for the 8 day Bora Bora Dream trip. It was amazing! Captain Henry was fantastic. We always felt safe with his guidance and also very much enjoyed his company. His wife Mee Hee was our chef and she spoiled us with three amazing meals each day. Being able to see four islands and not need to fly to each of them made it so worthwhile. They arranged for us to go snorkeling, swim with reef sharks, and do island tours. I even met a pregnant sting ray and got to touch her. We visited pearl farms and vanilla plantations. I highly recommend one of their charter tours. Every guide and Dream Yacht employee was friendly and knowledgeable. I’m already trying to convince my friends to book a tour with them again and to take over a whole catamaran with loved ones next time.
The booking process, boat condition, tech and nav briefings, on-water support, and stopover mid-trip were all top-notch!
We just completed our second charter within two years with Dream Yacht Charter in Raiatea, Tahiti. The islands in the vicinity of the base are truly some of the best places I've sailed in my 60+ years of sailing. The base is busy but very well organized. It is fascinating just to watch the teams get to work on the boats even before they are tied up at the dock upon return. A true model of efficiency. This is the closest to sailing paradise anywhere and the sailing is line of sight and easy. As it is a part of France, the marks are where the chart says they are and they are completely accurate. (Full disclosure: I am an owner of a boat in Dream Yacht's fleet in La Paz, Mexico. I think this is an excellent company to partner with.)
If I could give zero stars, I would. This was hands down the worst charter experience I've had in years. But the real issue? The base manager. Not only was the manager dismissive and unprofessional, but he also spoke to us in a rude, condescending tone, as if we were a burden, not customers. When I raised a concern about boat condition, he told us to go find a hotel if we aren't happy. It is clear that the Base and the maintenance of the boats are so poor due to bad leadership and lack of care. DYC's other destinations are ok, but avoid this base. You’ll save yourself time, energy, and frustration.
