Recently travelled from Canberra. The tour operators made it super easy, with pickup from our hotel accommodation. The crocodile tour was full of history and useful accomodation. Lunch and afternoon tea was provided and was absolutely delicious. You will appreciate the effort even in the smaller details in this tour. Lots of dad jokes too! Thanks guys 10/10
Went on this tour via an excursion from a cruise ship and had a fantastic time! I am an ambulatory wheelchair user and found this relatively easy to access. There was only a few (15-16) steps that weren’t to steep to get into the boat to do the river tour where we seen lots of crocodiles and got lots of information about them from the lovely tour guide called Steve. Then we had a lovely BBQ lunch with all the Aussie classics and favourites, after lunch we went onto the tractor ride which was only 1 step but was a very high step. After our tractor ride along the wetlands we had some damper, another Aussie classic. This tour would be absolutely perfect for international travellers that want a taste of what Australia is as that’s exactly what you get from this tour. I would highly recommend this if you’re looking for something to do close to airlie beach.
This was a very informative tour. We learnt a lot about trees that can be used for different thing. Steve was amazing guid around the wetland. And an even better one on the water 2hrs croc spotting and we weren't disappointed we seen at least one croc around every bend of the river. Steve spotted baby ones before we had even seen them. Talked about how to be safe around the water ways. We started the day with Billy Tea and Damper. BBQ lunch was awesome a lot to chose from. We met some wild life the possum in the green room, a green tree snake and the birds that come down at feeding time. We come away from the tour feeling thankful for the day and seeing so many crocs from big one right down to babies. Thank you Steve for an amazing day.
Such an excellent, well run, and informative tour with variety. Definitely well worth the price paid. Got picked up by bus from a location closeby my hotel. Enjoyed a drive through the local farmland and Proserpine town, to the croc safari property where the tour officially started from. Learnt so much about crocs, birds, other wildlife, plants/trees in the local area and even some fun facts. Our guide Steve had a great sense of humour which was entertaining. We saw heaps of crocs. Tip: go during winter to see more crocs sunbathing. The food was great and very filling. Lots of different types of meats available and salad. Got lamingtons for dessert and freshly made damper with various condiments and a mug of tea. Well-paced with plenty of chances to use their brand new toilets. Good that they provide shade both on the boat, where you eat and on the tractor ride. They encouraged hand washing and provided the necessary facilities to do so to prevent spread of germs/sickness (so important these days). Would recommend. Ive done alot of tours all around the world. Was impressed by the level of professionalism, organisation and value that this one provided.
The crocodile tour itself is great. Saw many crocodiles both large and small. However the tractor ride around a property lacked interest. We appreciated the knowledge of the land and animals, however we were there to see crocodiles… double the time on the water would have been cool!
Fantastic tour, never been so close to a full grown croc before. Steve and Ian know their stuff and their BBQ is great too!
We visited here on 26th Nov. The staff, especially Stu, were lovely and knowledgeable. Unfortunately, we were very unlucky with wildlife sightings today — we only saw 1 semi-big crocodile and a few babies, and during the tractor ride we spotted just one or two wallabies/kangaroos. We did feel the $150 ticket price was quite high given how little wildlife we saw, and it was a bit surprising that soft drinks were an additional $3 each. It would have been nice if refreshments were included considering the cost of the tour. Given the limited sightings, a partial discount or some form of goodwill gesture would have made the experience feel more worthwhile.
What an amazing opportunity. Thanks, Steve and the team. Had an unbelievable experience with the crew here and highly recommend these guys for a tour. The talks were informative, clever, and entertaining. We booked via our P&O cruise but really want to come back and spend more time with everyone. Billy Tea, Damper, and the BBQ lunch was also a huge bonus, but the whole package is something we will treasure for years to come. Can't thank the team enough, keep educating and teaching people about these amazing animals.

Really a beautiful, nice little shop. The name describes perfectly how it is to be inside. Each room is different with a different colour and scheme. It's just amazing how much of a variety is in there. It's a must see if you're in Proserpine.
Wow - almost a sensory overload experience! 😁💗 This place contains everything gift oriented, ornamental, jewellery, garden, indoor-outdoor mats & cushions, wall art, crystal hangers, coffee mugs, glassware, candles, handbags, belts, clothing, shoes, toys, etc - anything that you could think of! It's like a rabbit warren of pretty & funky happiness! Well worth a look when in the town of Proserpine, or "Prosvegas" as it is alternatively known!.. 😀 It's also conveniently located next to the pub & an EV charging station, if needing to take time out for lunch & a quick car charge up.
It is my favourite arty shop. Love all the quirky ornaments beautiful gemstones and rings and ear rings. Lovely chimes outside that sing in the wind. Always a lovely experience. I bought my daughter's favourite tea-cup there as I have over the years.
A very tight squeeze to manoeuvre through, particularly in the front counter area but a super fun and colourful place, offering something for everyone. Very clever and considered compilation of pieces that bring joy.
A smart looking shop. Enjoyable experience. Lots of choice. Clothes, jewery/men&women. Plants. Niknaks, cockle shoes. Fragrances,n lots more. Plenty of parking opportunities the shop,.
They have a lot of really lovely jewellery and nicnaks, some nice clothes as well just a little pricey for my liking though, worth a look
Beautiful shop with so many different items love this place and definitely worth a visit
The best shopping experience for your senses ever !!! My mother who lives in South Africa can’t wait to come here even when she visits me in Australia once a year

Great place! Lots of really beautiful birds and animals to see and the food was delicious. The staff were very kind and generous enough to keep the kitchen open for us even though we rocked up late at about 2.10pm for lunch and were the last ones there.
A word of caution. Make sure you let the staff know your dietary requirements when you order. The menu may say GF but you need to let them know you need it gluten free otherwise it will be full gluten!
Nothing to see here. No coffee plantation tours or bean roasting demonstrations –nothing. Just a basic cafe, a small (locked) bird aviary, and a couple of alpacas. There are signs on the fence as you drive in, one of which boasts ‘clean toilets’ (yes, seriously). A wasted opportunity for a tourist attraction. Don’t bother.
Amazing atmosphere, just at airlie beach turnoff, start your holiday here, great coffee, cake, birds and cutest guinea pigs, tysm 😊
Love this place coffee so good 👍 food was good lots to look at beautiful birds and surroundings
What a super cool place to explore! So many different birds and plants, a range of old harvesting machinery. Massive indoor kids play centre ($10 flat rate cost) Huge range of food and beverages (the iced mochas were so good!) The staff were so lovely and super accomodating of our kiddos after a big car trip. Looking forward to visiting again to check out the full aviary.
Arrived at 8am and order two coffees and two meals avocado on toast and bacon and eggs. Coffees came out but no meals. We waited for 45min and went up to ask where our meals were and they were waiting on the deep fryer to heat up. 1hr 15min later I went up again and they said they had problems with there docket system. After waiting 1hr 15min we asked for a refund. They didn’t apologise for the delay in meals or offer to try and resolve the issue. Very disappointing service. Staff and management need training on how to manage these issues and learn how to resolve in. Positive manner.
Nice place to stop for lunch, great for families with kids. A range of animals from alpacas, pigs, ponies, ginea pigs, birds etc for them to look at. The aviaries where lovely and clean, birds looked really healthy. Guinea pigs area was well maintained as well as all the animals enclosures. Owners should be proud of their efforts.

The Proserpine historic Museum has an extraordinary range and depth. It is fascinating exploration into the region and includes stuff of national significance. Proserpine's involvement in WW2 and WW1 is a real eye opener. Cleverly put together by enthusiasts with a real passion. It's also interesting for families to explore. After there's a great Bakery in Proserpine to grab some lunch. Highly recommend.
Interesting historical museum with many displays demonstrating early Australasian colonial life in the area of Central Queensland. A little eclectic in its choice of exhibits and placement. The volunteer staff have some personal experiences of early European culture and history. The vehicle entry is tricky due to the location on the main road.
Very well curated display of memorabilia. Full of informations and lovely people looking after the museum. They have animal spotting activity sheets for kids of different age. Our family enjoyed our visit here.
Personally, I found it really beautiful. There are so many interesting things inside, plenty to see, lots to read, and many historical documents to look through. I spent at least an hour and a half there and still hadn’t finished reading everything I wanted to. The lady welcomed us very warmly and was extremely kind. Congratulations to them, and I highly recommend it to everyone.
What a treasure. Such interesting history on the Whitsundays, Proserpine. Lots of old memorabilia.
Great museum, Friendly staff, you will walk back in to 120 years of history and how people lived in the last 120 years in this region of the world, Nice collection of house hold, public, Cultural, economical and social objects
We are not really museum people but this museum is amazing. Totally unexpected treasure trove that will take you at least an hour to visit. We'll done to all the volunteers who keep it so well.
Great book sale this week. Found 4 books in a series I haven't read. Gold!!! Volunteers were so nice and so helpful.

Whitsundays airport has to be the friendliest, endearing, genuine, chill experience that I have ever experienced at any airport. I’ve visited many airports in my time and I’ve now had the pleasure to enjoy Whitsundays airport several times. Without a fail, the security crew, the hospitality crew and the cleaners (all of the crew) will have a laugh with you and make you smile in one way or another. Their positive engaging energy does not go unnoticed and it’s appreciated every time. Thanks team ☺️🫶🐠
Whitsunday Coast Airport (PPP) – ★★★☆☆ Cozy, clean, and easy to get around – the airport itself is pleasant and well-maintained. However, there are no food options whatsoever apart from a single café that severely overcharges. Airport prices are expected, but having only one place to eat feels very limiting. We paid $50 AUD for a hot dog, two cold supermarket-style sandwiches, and a Coke. For an airport in such a popular tourist destination, there really should be at least one more dining option.
Thankyou BRADLEY at The Virgin Priority Check-In counter, your profressional service and courteousness to my husband and I was outstanding. You greeted us with a smile, smartly dressed and attended to our needs. Virgin should be proud to have such a quality staff member representing their company.
I dont understand how this airport currently has 4.1 stars. It has to be one of the prettiest and best maintained small airports I have ever been to. Staff was very friendly too! It sure deserves +5 stars.
I parked for 3 days and 35 minutes and was charged $94 AUD, even though the displayed rate was $21 per day for 3–5 days (which should have been $63). When I tried to clarify through the intercom, the staff member was unhelpful and rude. Very disappointing experience and poor customer service.
The Wilson security was very rude when I requested a hand inspection of my camera film rather than put it through the xray. I had it prepared in individual canisters, there was no line, no time pressure, yet the attendant ignored my requests and said I can put it through the scanner or throw it out. Was a very rude response for a reasonable request that is commonplace in airport security.
The airport is easy to get around being a small regional airport. It was clean and organised enabling us to to get in and out quickly. There are a couple of car rental companies on site directly opposite the baggage claim.
A pretty standard and small airport. No hot meals available to purchase (besides instant noodles), and airlines are notorious for delaying flights - so if you like to eat good food make sure to load up before you arrive. If you’re okay with snacks, there’s a great range at the captain and co convenience corner within the terminal.

We flew into Proserpine with only a vague idea of how to get to Airlie. Heart of the Reef shuttles was there and were super helpful, kind, and narrated our trip to Airlie with great information about the area. We gave them our return flight information, got an automatic booking for a shuttle pickup time at our rental, and it all worked like clockwork. Can’t recommend them highly enough.
What a great service, on time clean and very professional. Simon was our driver who picked us up at Coral Sea Marina for a drop off at Proserpine Airport. We booked through the marina with our flight details. In summary, great service, great professional driver and great value for money.
We had a great experience being picked up and taken to the railway station. Our driver (Misty, if I remember correctly) could not have been nicer! He arrived early, was super pleasant to talk to, and helped us get checked in. A week after arriving home, we still remember his great service. Thank you Heart of Reef shuttles and Misty for making this lasting impression!!
The bus left early 215, not 220, and without us. There were several Heart of the Reef vans and we had been sitting right beside one that we later discovered was not carrying passengers. The shuttle service manager claimed our van had left early because it was full, despite us prepaying for four seats . The next bus wasn’t leaving for another hour, so we took a taxi. Frankly, if we’d been to this airport before and were familiar with the logistics, we would have just taken a taxi anyway. There’s no reason to take a shuttle. The shuttle service refused to provide a full refund, despite the manager saying the van was full.
What a gentleman we had as our Shuttle driver today, Kane you are a legend. Firstly, when being picked up this morning Kane read out my son and daughters names then not my name but “birthday boy” (my birthday is tomorrow). I was pleasantly surprised but enjoyed the attention and even got a hug from another passenger. The biggest surprise was on our return journey this afternoon, when Kane read out our names he actually presented me with an Australian Penny dated 1964, the year I was born. On the journey back to our accommodation I asked Kane, where the coin came from and his reply was “it’s from Airlie Beach”, this wasn’t enough info so I asked him was it from him or the company? He said, it was from him as he was also born in 1964. What an amazing gesture. Thanks again Kane.
Excellent service. We had no booking upon arrival to PPP airport. Decided to approach their desk… and I’m so glad I did. Darren - what a legend!!! Such a laid back bloke, with a great sense of humour and customer service. I accidentally left my carry on in the luggage trailer when he dropped us off, rang them when I realised (an hour later!! Oops) and he was able to deliver it direct to my accommodation, no fuss. Great communication. Also, Darren loves a little tourism chat - listen to him when he tells you the facts on the shuttle trips… how good!!! 100% would recommend!! 🤙🏼 from Miranda with an ‘i’ 😁
We had a fantastic experience with this bus company. The vehicle was clean, comfortable, and punctual. A special thanks to our driver Darren, he was friendly, professional, and made the journey smooth and enjoyable. Highly recommended!
What a fantastic service! I wish I remembered the driver’s name to give him a proper shoutout. He was smooth behind the wheel and kept us entertained the whole way with fun facts and jokes—from the moment we left the airport to when we arrived at our destination. He also saved us heaps of time by pointing out where everything was and giving us a heads-up about what to avoid in Airlie Beach.
