This is a beautiful place, it is a short walk down some stairs to the lookout but there is clear signs not to go over the fence; We saw people that went over it walking to where the water falls, they started a conversation with people who were actually down there at the bottom where people shouldn't be either because of saftey risks. People not taking saftey risks seriously.
Beautiful waterfall, however much smaller than anticipated. It's a very short walk, but you cannot get down to the base, which is a shame. There aren't any trails, so not somewhere you'd spend a lot of time at.
Short walk to look out point. Due to recent rain waterfall flowing freely. Beautiful and calming. Unable to walk down now due to safety reasons.
Beautiful full scenery. But, not allowed to go down there because of safety reasons. There is only a lookout point . There's not much to do apart from having a look at the waterfall.
Dont make your trip out specifically. Nature is beautiful but you cannot go to the base unless you hike down around barriers as some did. With kids it was risky but the view I would imagine is beautiful from below. Viewing platform is tight and small with lots of people - ruins atmosphere. No toilets yet, being built.
Absolutely beautiful. It's worth the walk down. Be sure to wear shoes with some grip ! Enjoy
Quite a short walk from the carpark to the falls lookout. The falls are quite spectacular and there's a few steps down to the lookout. Lovely surroundings and there's a few difficult places to navigate across for some better views. Worth a brief stop off for some photos if you just want to see the falls, and then back in the car.

A good place to stop and take a look around the Local Town. Don't forget "Gus the Wombat" 🦛 and the Goldfields 🪙
I’m hopeful to see a wombat while staying in Blackwood (& visiting Trentham), but this might be the only one I get to see!
We decided to have our morning tea here in the gardens with our friends. Lovely spot with table & seats & bins. While your there make sure you go to the bakery as their Sausage Rolls are very yummy. Lovely place to visit.
Beautiful little Town so peaceful great caffe lots of food places friendly people 😊 not far from Melbourne about 1hr.
Beautiful old town charm, spud festival is on ,towns jumping.plenty to see & do
Nice spot to stop and walk around.
A nice spot to sit and rest, would be better if it had a watersupply for drinking, even a tap would be useful.

First time in Trentham, very pleased to find so many amazing stores including The Green Store., many products to choose from for household and gifts. Australian made will be great to any house 🤗
I love popping into the Green Store. The staff are always very helpful and it’s the ideal place to find eco friendly, Australian made goodies and gifts. It’s my go to store when I need a gift for a new baby or a special occasion. My daughter always wants to visit whenever she comes to Trentham.
A lovely little store just off the main road in Trentham. Many gorgeous items to browse.
I purchased a Black Magic Beard Brush from the online store. Dispatch was super fast. Packaging and presentation was excellent. The product is pretty good and I would recommend it. The bristles are a bit stiffer than the cheap department store examples which is what you want for coarse facial hair. Hopefully it does not lose too many bristles over time. Great job overall from The Green Store, many thanks.
I was looking for local sauna facilities (it's winter after all)and found that the Green Store have an infrared sauna which you can book sessions for, so I thought I'd give it a go and what a treat it was!. The space is super cosy with a lovely ensuite, with shower facilities for rinsing off afterwards. The actual sauna is a dry heat (without steam) but gets you sweating in no time and you can bluetooth your phone to watch/listen to something while you relax. Couldn't recommend it enough, can't wait for my next session.
Excellent range of products at sensible prices. Great online shopping and orders sent quickly. A great store to visit in person or online.
The Green Store is a great little store to have in town. Amazing products that help us live a more sustainable life. The dishwasher powder and body wash refills are two of my favs. Plus it’s great place to find that special gift. Such friendly service and the place smells divine!
The most beautiful little shop nestled in gorgeous Trentham. It has a great range of eco-friendly products and bulk goods, all of great quality and the service is wonderful. The perfect place to shop for gifts or essentials. Kasie also provides the most wonderful treatments. A must-visit destination for visitors and locals alike.

Such a beautiful area, quieter than Daylesford and close to the Blackwood pub under major renovation reopening Feb 2025. Definitely worth a look! 🙂🦁🐑 @melbourne.food.reviews @melbourne.food.collective #melbournelife #weekendvibes #melbournefood
Did not see any sign at the old train station that the information centre moved.
Wonderful little town with a quaint and historic railway station. Well preserved and open to the public, the railway station is filled with old rolling stock and remnants of the original line. Every fourth Sunday they have a small market in the parking lot, with the restaurants and coffee shops only a short walk away. The station marks the beginning of the Domino Walk, a hour and a half walk along the old railway line to Lyonville.
We visited on a Tuesday so unfortunately the visitor centre at the station wasn't open but we still got to wander around the old train carriages to our hearts content. We also did the Domino Trail from the station to Lyonsville and back which is an easy 12 km return walk along the old railway line. Several railway bridges remain although two need to be detoured around now but are securely fenced off so safe for kids too. The kids will love it and it's free! It's also worth spending a bit longer in town and taking a walk down High Street to look at the antique and boutique stores with a detour to the RedBeard Bakery (the cafe is only open Friday to Monday though) down Wolff Lane.
The Dominic Trail offers a nice amble for people looking for an easy afternoon walk. It's 12 km all up. Lots of bush, birdlife and butterflies. Suitable for taking the kids on a bike ride. BYO water - no drinking fountains or bathrooms on the trail
Disused railway station. A few carriages and previous tracks covered in grass growth, with a station. There's a walking trail but I didn't walk it. Not alot to see but if you're in the area, just have a look.
A historic and abandoned train station with some rolling stock such as old wagons etc still on rails. Worth a visit to teach your kids about the history of this Victorian township
Very well maintained old train station with a lot of cool history to it. Has some old engines and carriages there with some other pieces around the yard. It also backs onto the Domino trail. So make a day of it check the lake out then come and have a look at the station and go for a walk on the Domino trail as far as Lyonsville if you wish.

We took advantage of the break in the weather to walk around the lake, from High Street to the historic train station.
Great place for a walk around the lake, a picnic or just laze around in the shade and read a book.
Great spit fire a picnic, free electric Barby's, nice little lake and lots of cool shade! Kiddys play ground too! Short walk around lake, or explore Trentham proper? Up to you?
Nice small place to visit, clean toilet available and small lake. What a good place for picnic.
Quite calm lush with greenery. Nice fir a walk and relaxing.
Cool little spot. Can't wait to go back when it's not covid so we can enjoy the local shops nearby
Pleasant place to have a barbecue or lunch!
