Full of knowledge about whatever you might need during your visit in collie or surrounding areas. We took a natural flower guide and enjoyed a beautiful walk in the afternoon. There’s an interesting outdoor train museum as well so even if the collie visitors centre isn’t open it’s definitely worth going to have a look and enjoy learning a bit of western Australian coal mining history and train use… just don’t hop in or take a piece home as there are asbestos warnings! Enjoy your Collie visit!!!!
Terrific service from the lovely team here at the Collie Visitors Centre. I’m hiking the Bibbulmun Track, and this was my first stop in town. They gave me clear directions, a range of eating options (all of them great) and guided me to the caravan park where I was staying. They have camping gas and food, and there is even a ‘hikers box’ where you can drop off and pick up small items to support your journey. Collie is a great little town, with everything you need for a stopover or rest day, and the people have been really friendly. If you come here, stop at the visitors centre first!
A must stop! Get maps and tourist information for the Collie area. So much to see and do. Bring your caravan with parking available for those towing. Come and see the wonderful team . You won’t be disappointed.
You’ve got to visit Collie, there is so much to do and see. The staff at the visitor centre were great ambassadors for Collie. The centre was full of information, maps and souvenirs. There is even an underground mining experience you can be a part of. They even gave us where to go and have a swim like the locals do. The Wellington Dam is also worth visiting, Honeymoon Pool campground looks like a great spot to do some camping if you have the time.
Such lovely a visitor center, friendly staff and good selection of gifts.
Huge thanks to the staff at Collie visitors centre for storing our resupply box for our bibbulmun hike. Also providing helpful and friendly service . So grateful to have this available to us .🙏😁😊
Very Charming little visitor centre, staff were lovely and the Centre/Shower couldn't of been any cleaner. Dump spot, $5 Showers and potable water for a gold coin donation
Great service for Munda Biddi cyclists (much needed shower) & great recommendations for local eateries.

Young man was very friendly and informative at the front counter and so many artifacts of the Collie area, very amazing. Recommend a visit, very reasonable entry fee.
Have visited this museum several times over past years. There is so much historical information within these walls. A really good insight into the township and it's heritage.
Absolutely brilliant, I couldn't believe how big it is inside, great for kids too & worth the $5/adult & its FREE for children
What a wonderful museum!! So much history and way bigger than it looks. We were treated to listening to the old coin operated piano and an original wax cylinder Edison phonograph. We spent over an hour in this museum and loved our step back in time - and not just related to the coalfields.
It's a nice spot to visit. Mostly full of antique items etc. Interstate to look at
Great spot to learn about the history of the town. Including, but limited to, coal mining. Run by locals who give their time generously. So take a look and show your support.
Heaps of memorabilia to look at, very friendly staff with plenty of local knowledge and a fun activity for the kids. A great way to spend a few hours.
Look into the past & see how life was.Windows to another world.Great capture of facts in this Museum.Well worth 2 hrs here.

Great local gallery that provides space for people to explore and expand their artistic flair. A great showcase of local talent is exhibited throughout the year. Staff are friendly and welcoming, answering questions and offering suggestions
Gorgeous artwork in a wonderful new building. Collie art gallery is a must see and you should spend more time looking at each painting than you might want to. the detail is stunning
I am a new resident to Collie and having a great time exploring my community. The art gallery is an awesome place to spend some time admiring the art and being creative! I spent Thursday morning chatting about art and engaging creatively, my new Thursday morning hangout! The staff are friendly and helpful.
Went to see a specific exhibition... Very impressed with the lay out if the whole gallery... Light, bright, clean... Excellent viewing environment....
Lovely small town gallery with an interesting mix of local and international artists. Pretty cool that it has such a big arts prize program as well.
Beautiful, modern art gallery in Collie. We spent a good portion of time looking at an artist's work. Wanted to buy a large piece then and there but didn't. Well worth a stop

Lake surrounded by native bushland, known for its striking blue color & popular for paddling.
Slide 1 of 8
Black Diamond Lake in Western Australia is a serene and picturesque destination, especially on a Saturday morning when the stillness enhances its charm. The lake is renowned for its striking blue waters, which shimmer under the sunlight, creating a surreal and inviting atmosphere. Surrounded by lush greenery, it’s a peaceful retreat that feels worlds away from the hustle and bustle. During my visit, I noticed the calm waters reflecting the surrounding trees, making it an ideal spot for photography or simply soaking in the beauty of nature. The area offers plenty of space for a leisurely picnic, and families were scattered along the shores enjoying the morning together. While there are no official facilities, the natural beauty more than compensates for it. The lake’s color is its standout feature, a result of the mineral-rich water left behind by the area’s coal-mining history. This unique aspect adds an intriguing element to the visit. However, it’s important to note that swimming isn’t officially recommended due to safety concerns, so visitors should exercise caution. Overall, Black Diamond Lake is a delightful spot for a quiet morning escape. Its tranquility, vivid waters, and picturesque setting make it a hidden gem worth exploring.
If you have not stopped in here yet.... then I cant stress enough how you need too!! Stunning place, absolutely stunning!!
Beautiful colours is the lake, it was pretty packed here, plenty of dogs and toilets on site.
Only paid a break visit but it is a stunning area. There were people kayaking when we arrived. It was a cloudy day so we didn't see the lake in it's full glory. Still beautiful nonetheless.
Beautiful area ice to take a picnic lunch and just enjoy the beauty of this place.
On a Sunday morning we left home just before 7am, and it took us about 2.5hrs to arrive at Black Diamond Lake. When we arrived there were only 5 or 6 other cars. By the time we set up our picnic area, at least another 10 cars had arrived. My advice is if you want a good park by the water, arrive early. It's totally worth it. We found an area that was under a tree and just by the water. All I kept thinking to myself was "feel the serenity." Being surrounded by beautiful nature was just so peaceful. It's definitely worth the drive.
It was ok but the colour was more green than blue was very dusty gravel around the outside. The bottom of the lake stired up very easy. The signs warning of putting your head under was enough to put us off going for a swim. Seemed much like any other lake.
Absolutely amazing. The water is so warm, the scenery is awesome and it's a great place to spend the day with the kids. A lot of photo opportunities too. Can get busy, so come a little earlier to get a good spot, but really, it's all about getting in the water and staying there most of the day.

Stopped for lunch and a bit of cheeky wine tasting. We had the squid which was cooked to perfection and one of the platters which really filled us up. I also had a pint of their own cider which was really refreshing on the hot day. The service was exceptional and super fiendly. You must try the chardonnay and the shiraz. They were the best of the bunch for me. Will not be our last visit here.
A MUST stop when you’re in Collie, or camping in the area. We did a day trip from Honeymoon Pools. Lynda was lovely, and we tried all the wines. Such unique blends and flavours. A must stop for wine, gin or food lovers! Great view as well. And good prices.
Very peaceful and relaxing winery, with excellent music! Staff were super friendly and helpful. Tasting platter and wine tasting paired nicely. Would’ve like more wine tasting options though, as several wines were unavailable when we visited and I would’ve liked to try more.
Nice setting overlooking a dam. Enjoyed a delicious platters. Very impressed with everything on the platters.
Beautiful setting looking over the river & views of the vineyard. Absolutely scrumptious grazing platter, plenty for two to share. The service was great, the beer was tasty & cold.. what more could anyone ask for. We'll definitely be back!
The staff are lovely! We ordered Fried Camembert and a HRE Platter. The food is delicious! For wine, I love their Verdelho. They had a Pink Verdelho this time, I’d never tried it before but it was also really good.
Had the shared platter and a beverage. The platter was very nice, perfect amount for 2 people. Only one of the beers on tap was available which was a shame as it wasn't the choice we wanted. Nice place for a stop though.
Loved the service got lots of good information about the wines our front bar server Lynda was really good friendly and a pleasure to speak to

Stunning man made ex coalmine lake. Very deep, undrinkable water. Daytime visit for us but many camping in the unpowered sites. Colour of the lake is incredible...Italy like! Update - Easter long weekend 2022 - it is packed, and from what we can see, only one small toilet block with people queuing outside. Update - back again, Feb 2023. Love this lake. Was here 2 days in a row One day At 5pm (with lots of boat activity) the water wasn't as blue or as stunning as we remembered. Back again the next morning and it was back to the blue we remember...must've just been churned up from all the boats..? Update January 2025 - visiting for the day only. A lot of rubbish at the campground. It appears the water level has dropped a little since our last visit. People still jumping from up above but counter the lower water levels by having to jump out far. It’s not easy to guess some accidents waiting to happen. A small section of one of the popular cliff edges has broken away, which also appears to be dangerous. Still fabulous to swim in, beautiful temperature - not freezing like honeymoon pool. Clay and rocky bottom. Can be a bit tenderfoot.
Got here early for the long weekend. Rangers came by to check us in. Plenty of spots to choose from on a first come first serve basis. Campgrounds were clean and there are washrooms on site. Motocross track across the lake started up at 7am, so be forewarned about that noise. We didn't find it disruptive as we were up and about already. The lake is gorgeous for swimming and floating.
Very beautiful and dog friendly spot for camping. However please do not go if you are actually looking to relax. On a Friday and Saturday night music was blasting till very late in the morning. Stayed on the lake but almost wished we stayed more near the woods so away from the party. Such a shame as the view was just so pretty.
What a beautiful blue lake, it was busy, a few jetskis in the water. It's not overly big but a popular camping spot for sure. Toilets on site
Lovely spot, clean campgrounds and extra clean longdrop toilets. It can be very busy on the weekends with power boats on the lake. Mid week magic. 10$ per person per night but if your lucky and stay one night, the ranger won't even know you've been there. Lake Stockton is very deep with quick drop off's. Remember this when entering the water. Fabulous place for peace and quiet, would recommend winter and summer... oh and friendly ducks
Stockton Lake is always a nice place to stay. Just remember to take extra warm clothes if your heading out there in the cooler months.
This place is a beautiful spot to camp at, the lake is a led mine so be aware that the water is very cold and very deep. There is a boat ramp and lots of people were out kayaking or paddle boarding, some swimming despite the weather being cold at the time of our visit. Plenty of space to park up for a day or two, as far as we know there are no restrictions on length of stay and it’s very close to Collie which has a range of shops and services. Stockton lakes is a must if in the area, certainly one we will return to 👍
Stockton Lake offers a serene escape with its scenic beauty. The peaceful atmosphere and well-maintained surroundings make it an ideal spot for relaxation. Whether you're into water activities or just want to enjoy nature, Stockton Lake has something for everyone. A must-visit for those seeking tranquility and a connection with nature.

Lovely place to bring little kids! Lots to do and see and some interesting history for adults to read too. Toy train set, big replica model trian set up, and big train for kids to play in! Also has a cute cafe with reasonable prices. $2 donation entry per adult.
Great little place with a wealth of information on the railway services of Collie. The volunteers who run the museum are well informed and happy to share information about the town. Highly recommend visiting if you are in town. Croissants and scones are a must for any visit! 🥐☕️
Nice coffee and cake, great museum with a miniature railway display for the kids.

I visited Collie for the day last Saturday and knew that I wanted to stop in at Retro Respection and see what they had nowadays as I fell IN LOVE on my first visit. I am embarassed to say how much time that I left between visits, but I was so keen to see what had changed since my last time popping in. And to say I was impressed is an understatement. They had all of what I had remembered loving about the small business on my first visit, plus so many little surprises that I absolutely loved. It goes without saying that the gap between my visit last Saturday and my next visit will not be as large as my first! 100% recommend visiting the next time you’re in Collie… or especially making the trip just for it to be honest!
This shop is lovely, I came here to visit family and noticed your shop. It is nicely organised.
Storm was lovely I don't think you will walk out empty handed
Got some fantastic old books from here at a great price. Very friendly staff. Highly recommended!
One of my favourite shops in town! Can’t stay out of it! A huge range of products vintage, new, quirky; the possibilities are endless! Great prices and amazing customer service from all staff! Definitely worth the stop, if you can’t make it in person; they ship wherever you are so visit them online!
If you have read any of my reviews you will know that I am always right, so trust me when I tell you that this is the best shop..... IN THE WORLD! If I find out that you went to Collie and didn't go there I'll be, like, super upset.
So much variety with new giftware, antiques and collectables!
Love this place so many treasures & lovely staff. Will be back to buy myself a house warming gift.😃

A hidden gem! Very well looked after. Plenty of parking. Clean toilets. Pathways and little bridges to walk across overlooking mini waterfalls. Stunning!
Very scenic place with nice clean toilets and ample car parking. There is good access for wheelchair users and some information boards about the function of the dam and some interesting facts and figures. Check out the picture.
Beautiful place for a lunch stop, lovely open space picnic area and has a BBQ facility. Gorgeous scenery and wildlife to see and a short and sweet walk to the dam up hill.
Beautiful place to explore, take a stroll across the dam wall to the other side to the look out. A good place for the family picnic as it has tables with gas BBQ's and has paths and bridges also has public toilet.
Nice spot with picnic tables and toilet(down the bottom) unfortunately has been burnt off recently, so not as nice as it was.
Nice view from top. Clean toilets
Pleased to see the lawns are being watered again after a long time of being neglected!!
