A complete crossing of Tahiti Nui through the Papeno'o Valley by 4x4. Amazing to see how big, dense, and lightly populated this island really is. Beautiful scenery in every direction, steep hills, waterfalls, dense rain forest, and even a ride through a cave at the top! Tour was handled safely and professionally, guide was perfect. This is an experience not to be missed when visiting Tahiti!
We had a good visit to the Papenoo Valley in the 4x4. Our driver was experienced and made us feel safe despite the difficult road conditions. We captured many nice photos. We do wish we could have made a few more stops to get out and take pictures since many were taken from the van, and wish we had more commentary. (A local guide from a different van was kind enough to speak with us.) Different people got different guidance on what shoes to bring and whether to bring a raincoat so a standard packing list would have been nice. Overall we had a good trip and got back in time!
Great adventure. Our guide, Hotu, was passionate and very knowledgeable about the island and Tahitian culture.
It's absolutely amazing with great guide. Plenty of stops for pictures. Saw other companies out there, definitely weren't having as good of a trip as us.
The tour was so poorly run that we left the tour after just half an hour into it. I spoke to one of Expedia Staff, who advised they would follow it up. We started our tour late, as we were advised the guide was outsourced. The guide, whose English was not to good advised us the tour would not finish until after 7pm. As we were on a cruise ship, the ship was due to depart at 6pm. When i made booking originally, the tour was going to finish at 5pm, which would have been ok. As our next port of call was New Zealand, we were concerned we would miss the ship. There were two other parties on the tour, and they were actually staying in Papette, so time was no issue for them. We made a stop about 30 mins into the tour, and after 40+ years experience in Hospitality, 20 as a tour guide, we had a bad feel about this tour. As we were on the back of a vehicle, there was no commentary given at all. We were advised this would be the only stop for food supplies for the day and there would be limited toilet stops. My wife and I were so concerned we would miss the ship leaving, so we advised guide we were not continuing as this was NOT the tour we had paid for. We made our way back into town ourselves using the public transport This company was contacted by Expedia, who we booked through and without reason, would not offer refund for their poor service.
We called to inquire about a tour for a party of 8. We were answered by the owner himself, an obnoxious French man who kept on saying that he has 22,000 inquiries per year and has no time to answer or listen to everybody’s request. So I replied that I was very happy about the incredible success of his business but he will not get a cent from me. RUN AWAY!!! SUCH A WAY TO TALK AND REPLY TO CUSTOMERS IS JUST UNACCEPTABLE, ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU ARE IN THE SERVICE INDUSTRY!!!!
A Great experience for the nature, culture and history of Tahiti. Eric our guide is a local Tahitian who was borne in the valley and is familiar with all of the local plant life and the history of the island and its people. Highly recommend tour.
(Translated by Google) A big thank you to Noah, who showed us the Papeeno Valley. Despite the rain, he was able to share his love for this green place, with its magnificent waterfalls and multicolored flowers.

Destination for picturesque hikes leading to 3 large waterfalls in a natural, secluded setting.

It was very cool. If you liked doing a lot of photos this is the place for you. There are a lot of beautiful flowers and the river is so calm that if sat next to it you may go to sleep of how calm it is. But the waterfall is very beautiful the water doesn’t fly in all detections how on other waterfalls
It was an easy drive, easy to find. No cost to see, not crowded. Do use mosquito repellent. Enjoy the view
Nice walk and interesting legend of the falls. Take the time to walk up the longer trail to the 3rd falls. Definitely worth it.
Very serene and beautiful. A narrow road off the highway gets you here, a short walk from the parking lot to the gorgeous falls.
Recommend a guide for this 45 minutes hike to the Āfareaitu Waterfall. Book with trip advisor: Moorea VIP Tours: 'Half-Day Guided Hike to Afareaitu Waterfall'. Beautiful wild jungle landscape, culminating in a lovely pool to swim in at the base of this waterfall. Afterwards, a wonderful tropical fruit snack in a stunning garden.
Very nice view of a large waterfall. But very uneven trail that requires FULL attention. Watched several people stumble and then I STILL caught my foot on uneven steps.
Gorgeous waterfall that is just a few minutes walk from the parking lot. There are a couple other waterfalls you can hike to, but they were closed the day we went.
Absolutely beautiful!! Plenty of parking. Locals have tables and selling their fruits, etc. The path to the falls is well maintained, gravel and rocks. There are wooden and rocky steps to navigate. May be a concern for those with mobility issues.

Very nice and uncomplicated diving centre. It is also super easy to boom dives via their website and pay online; all super well organised. They even picked us up from our hotel, and the communication was smooth. The instructors and the staff are super nice, gelfougl and very professional. You not only feel relaxed and having fun there but also super Dave and well handled. I really hope ai can dive with them again soon and totally recommend their diving center.
One of the best experiences out in Tahiti. If you like whales, snorkeling, scuba diving, and friendly people/GREAT customer service, then this dive shop is a must! A MUST! Joshua had gone above and beyond and was more than accommodating… I’d give more stars if I could! I’m definitely coming back
Estelle was an excellent guide, and made us feel safe and comfortable throughout both of our dives. She was very interactive during the dives, constantly pointing out features on the reef. We went to two diving spots off of Papeete, and saw several turtles, gorgeous walls of coral, and various fish!
I had a great experience taking the Scuba Diver course with Thibaut and Joshua. I was and am still afraid of water, and I'm also a weak swimmer, but both instructors were super patient, attentive and observant, they gave me very good feedback after each session, taught me how to use my fins, etc. I can feel progress after every dive. During the first dive I literally was holding on to my instructor for half of the time. By the time of the last dive, I was 12 meters deep in the ocean, gained enough confidence in the water and it turned out to be a very pleasant dive. I enjoyed learning at this dive center that I just signed up for the Open Water Diver course :).
Fantastic dive operation- professional and accommodating. Shout out to our divemaster Tebo and to Joshua who made this day happen. He worked with our cruise ship schedule and provided transportation.
We had a wonderful experience at the Scuba Tek Tahiti Dive center. My wife and I did a 2 tank dive there. Teebow (english translation) was great and provided hands on and detailed help and instructions and was very attentive during the dives. After the first dive we came back to the dive center and enjoyed some lunch and a relaxing time before going out for the second dive. They are very price competitive with a very high level of customer service. Their boat is comfortable and the chosen dive sites were great.
We did whale watching tour for 2 days with these guys, very happy each time! Highly recommend it
Great group of people. Very patient with beginner swimmer. Knowledgeable on reef and surrounding area. Recommend!

What a gem! Well worth traveling by bus or car from Papeete to Arue to tour this house and learn about the Hall family. Easy parking in the small lot right across the street. And if Vivian is there, being shown around by her and hearing her personal stories about the family is a real treat. The museum should have videos with her talks to preserve her valuable knowledge!
A really nice museum for the author of Muriny on the Bounty. We went as part of a tour after disembarking from the cruise ship; I wasn't really into this stop but have to admit I was unexpectedly impressed. James Hall flew with the Escodrille Lafayette, an American volunteer fighter squadron in France 🇫🇷 in WWI. These were some brave, badass dudes risking their lives when they didn't have to. Huge respect for these heroes.
REALLY worth a visit! Even with limited prior knowledge, you'll be caught up to speed by friendly staff very quickly, and the whole atmosphere is a tranquil travel through time. Super pleasant workers as well, you'll definitely leave with a big smile :)
Very nice and they gave a lovely tour and History of the author of Munity on the Bounty. We were on a guided tour and we're served lemonade and Banana bread.
Beautifully curated, an incredible visit. The curator is incredibly kind, thoughtful, she answered all my questions and inspired me to read Mr. Hall’s books. Such a pleasant afternoon, I recommend if you’re looking for a calming restful stop on your journeys.
Very informative tour about a prolific author, WW1 pilot from Iowa. Parking is across the divided highway with a crosswalk available. We had to pass the house and use the ne t roundabout to come back to park.
Very interesting. Gives history of James Norman Hall and the many books he wrote. Original furniture and his typewriter uniforms etc.
Had a very wonderful time with Vivienne who is a perfect host for this wonderful little gem. Took me back in times. Highly recommend it.
