I took my daughter for high tea at Overnewton Castle, and it was spectacular! The grounds and castle are stunning to look out at and wander through. We selected a verandah seat, and it was the perfect choice. There were only 2 tables out there, so it was peaceful and relaxed. Plus, we got to enjoy the views and breeze. The food and drinks were delicious, and the staff were incredible! So attentive, polite, and helpful. They went above and beyond to make my little girl feel like a princess. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! Highly recommend for a mummy daughter date or a romantic afternoon date.
Disappointing High Tea Experience – Beautiful Venue, but Service Fell Short I attended a high tea at Overnewton Castle on the 11th of June with a group of friends. As a group that has experienced many high teas, we were sadly disappointed by the overall experience—especially given how beautiful the venue and gardens are. To begin with the positives: the setting is truly lovely, and most of the staff were courteous. In particular, Ashley stood out as an excellent team member—attentive, friendly, and professional throughout our visit. Her service and interaction was a highlight. However, the overall experience felt rushed and disjointed. We were offered a glass of bubbles shortly after being seated, only to be asked about our tea or coffee preferences almost immediately after. There was little time to relax and enjoy the flow of the service. The real letdown, though, was an interaction with one staff member—a young woman with red hair—who was noticeably rude and dismissive. When we politely asked for a cup of tea later during the sitting, she told us we couldn’t because there were only 10–15 minutes left. Ashley, on the other hand, was more than happy to oblige without hesitation. Moments later, the red-haired staff member returned with a teapot, placed it down abruptly, and sarcastically asked, “Do you need cups?”—despite not having brought any. One cup and saucer was brought to the table. No acknowledgement for my friends requests ever eventuated either.. It was a very unnecessary and unprofessional interaction that left a sour note at the end of our visit. It’s unfortunate that one staff member’s attitude overshadowed what could have been a charming afternoon. We hope management takes this feedback seriously, as the setting deserves a standard of service to match.
What a wonderful experience for little girls to dress up for Princess High Tea over school holiday . Never disappoints If your gluten intolerant. There high tea is amazing . Such a shame they are closing next year .
Overnewton Castle is full of magical charm. The gardens are stunning, the venue is fabulous and the staff are all very friendly and helpful. The onsite accommodation is beautifully presented and perfect for your event and convenient stay at the Castle.
Went to 'High Tea' on Sunday and had a pleasant afternoon. The food was freshly, home made fare that looked and tasted delicious. Tasty trests on offer included mini brisket pies, mini vegetable quiche's, arancini balls, various finger sandwiches, savoury cheese and chive scones, white chicolate and rasperrsy scones macaroons and mini eton mess shooters. The orange juice was freshly squeezed and the tea and coffee was fresh and hot. The history of Overnewton Castle is documented with photographs in many of the rooms. Wandering around the inside of the buildings showcases beautiful antique fixtures, fittings and furniture and the gardens are delightful to stroll in. Overall, a wonderful afternoon indeed.
I’m really disappointed to be writing this on Mother’s Day, but our high tea experience at Overnewton Castle was incredibly underwhelming and ruined what should have been a special day. We paid $420 for four adults and two children, and the food simply didn’t reflect that. The scones were a major letdown—especially the plain ones, which were undercooked and raw in the middle. The rest of the menu was basic: a few pastries, chia pudding, some fruit, and one slider each with a flat, wrinkled bun that tasted as poor as it looked. The children’s meals were equally disappointing, with just one scone and a piece of toast no bigger than a finger. Even our mothers commented on how poor the food tasted. This was honestly the worst high tea we’ve ever tried. I’ve made way better scones and sliders myself at home. The venue itself is beautiful and the staff were genuinely kind, attentive, and welcoming, which we really appreciated. However, the food lacked quality, creativity, and care. Extremely disappointed and won’t be returning.
Went for a Christmas in July dinner. Lovely place. The food was delicious. Have to go back another time during the day to have a proper look around.
A delectable High Tea, the hot and cold savouries were delicious and the three varieties of scones were divine. A stroll in the beautiful Castle gardens afterwards made for a perfect Sunday afternoon. Thank you for a lovely experience.

There is a lot of space for kids and friends to play, family gatherings, birthday parties, sunbathing, sports, picnic and dog walking. The BBQ facilities are clean. However, there is a lot of dust and flies because it is close to the road. Sunscreen and insect repellent are recommended.
Nice little playground decent amount of play equipment. Good amount of seatings and well kept grass. Nice to come here when you wanna relax and there's a servo across if you want a quick bite or drink
Great little local park, not far from walking trails along the river, with a big playground, BBQs, toilets, picnic benches, covered areas and picnic benches. There's ample space for playing games on open grass and lots of trees for shade. Beautiful in spring and summer, grass is well maintained and the whole area is pretty clean and clear. Have often seen birthday parties and family events held here. Lots of curious birds and insects and dog walkers passing through.
My little piglet enjoyed her time on the swing and she got dizzy from all the fun she was having
Ideal for taking kids as there is a large playground area. There are also bbq & picnic seating. There is a public toilet area & drinking fountains, also a number of rubbish bins for waste. Not as ideal for walking a dog though. They must be on leash & it's not a big place when you don't count the playground area. Unless you've only got a tiny dog I wouldn't bother taking them there.
This park is great for kids, adults, and gatherings. Clean BBQs public toilets plenty of parking and ample open space for pets and ball games. It's a little disappointing that some of the play equipment is bored up as according to the council signs it has come to the end of its life, hence the 3 stars. Regardless of the coucik dragging its feet to rrplace the equipment thereisplenty of other usuable play equipment, it's a great, well-kept park for the whole family.
Awesome park for kids between 2-10 years old. Great standard playground equipment and lots of seating areas for picnics or lunch. If you have kids that love climbing trees, then I highly recommend the trees in the back part of the park which are easy to climb that provide a great challenge for little climbers!
I went to Cliff Harvey Lagoon Reserve today for a child's 4th Birthday. The play equipment was very kid's safe, and all playground surfaces were moulded and covered to protect children when they fall. There was a smaller child's play area as well as older child's play area. Picnic wooden tables with undercover metal gazebo overhead.

Great play centre for kids. There is a particularly excellent foam ball room with lots of different air play things including vacuum tunnels and air guns. We’ve been to a couple of birthdays here and the team do a terrific job.
Good amount of things for big and little kids. There’s an area for toddlers too which is next to the jumping castle. Has electric cars available for $2.50 to hire, and also has little pedal cars and a track for them to ride around on. One of the slides is quite steep, so you might end up having to go on with the kids to show them it will be ok lol! There’s a muffin break inside and you can also order chips, nuggets etc. We had difficulty leaving the centre as one of our little ones was VERY tired, the young staff rostered on were actually amazing and offered help/support which was nice. Could have been a little cleaner, maybe having something similar to Rabbit Hole’s shoes off before entry to the facility might work? Just a thought.
Customer service is great! Had ordered a snappy meal and it was super delicious, chips were crisp, nuggets were golden, and the mini muffin was packed with pure joyride. Served by a lovely asian girl with an oversized black shirt with blonde hair!!
This place is the closest to my home, so I have been coming here with my 2.5yo for some time. The place has always been pretty dusty but after today's visit, I cannot see myself returning! It was absolutely filthy, ive attached photos of some of the filth but there was either pee or drink on the toddlers playground, I told the worker within 10 minutes of being there, two hours later it was still there! Rips in jumping castle with slide, a small child's foot could easily fall in that hole. The rips and rubbish and dust everywhere was terrible , honestly doesn't look like the place has been cleaned in several months. It looked like only one worker as well and to top it off we were charged 16 dollars but in the month of Feb it says we pay the age of our child? Owners really need to consider a deep clean and some upgrades to the play area. Sad to see this place run into the ground.
I decided to try out this branch when I read an email from them the day before about "Snappy Hour"; Email recipients just need to arrive on the set date between 9-10am and show staff their email for free entry. Closing time is at 5pm but we only stayed to 12. Playing is a lot more work than I expected. They had various themed party rooms, a separate café inside and lots of tables and chairs in the main play space. There were plenty of different activities for children and toddlers. Jungle gyms, (lots of) slides, jumping castle, coin operated rides, coin operated toy vending machines, claw machines, a bike track, an (out-of-order) race kart, a toddler's play nook, etc. Some hidden gems you'd have to find within the playgrounds were the bowling lane and the trampoline. I ordered a fisherman's basket for $18 and to be honest, was disappointed by the proportion when it arrived at the table. there's some parking spots on both sides of this corner building. However they were all occupied so I had to park at the petrol station that is within the same massive lot as the playcentre and other businesses.
Had a wonderful experience with crocs Keillor park, with special mention to Nickolas and Emma who went above and beyond, your customer service skills are perfection, thank you for making our experience one to remember.
Can get busy on weekends, get in early. Parking not the best . Food is ok, little pricey. Great for children’s parties. 🥳
I just want to say thank you to the manger at Crocs Keilor Park play centre she was amazing on the weekend. I was having my daughter's 4th birthday at a park in Taylors lakes on Saturday and the weather was really bad heavy rain all day, so it was either cancelled or try and move it to a play centre. After calling many places in the area, who all said no straight away, I decided to call Crocs Keilor Park where she had her birthday last year and they were amazing she said hold on a minute I'll see what I can do, she came back with, we have the AFL room that you can use from 11 till 1. I was so relieved because my daughter would the been devastated if I cancelled it. We had a great day and everything worked out in the end. Have lots of food that I had prepared for a BBQ at the park but you get that, as long as my daughter was happy. Happy 4th Birthday Tehlia.
