Heaps of fun here! The new tracks like yabba dabba do are super flowy!
Very much worth the drive if you've never been here. New trails don't seem to be mapped anywhere, and trail forks didn't really match to my GPS location. The locals where extremely friendly and helpful. There are trails for all skill levels.
It's been at least five years since I have visited cougar park and wow what a difference with all the trees gone. Tracks were good to ride , clean and free of debris,
Awesome place! Bit of a climb to get to the top but the tracks down are awesome. Well cared for, great range of grades and easy to access. Well worth a visit.
Decent bike park with a large variety of trails and awesome views. Climbs are fairly chill and not too steep. Unfortunately this park is in dire need of some maintenance. Most of the “flow trails” are now so beat up and blown out making it hard to carry speed, defeating the point of a flow trail. There are also a few trails in the Forrest that have become so overgrown that you can’t see the holes, bumps and roots on the trail. This caused a few near misses for myself and had a fair few occasions where my cassette, derailleur, wheels and even brake levers got jammed up. This could potentially cause people to have some nasty, unexpected crashes or even damage their pride and joy bikes. If you’re in the area it’s worth a stop, but otherwise I wouldn’t bother making the trip out to ride it.
Great bike park. The best that I've been to outside of Rotorua. Google maps takes you to the wrong carpark (Apr 2021) so do your research beforehand if you're here for first time.
We rode several trails here. Very well sign posted with trail names at the entrance and exit of each trail,so it was easy to follow the map. The trails had been named with a bit of humour, and some suggestion of what to expect, eg out first up hill climb was called Jack and Jill. We really enjoyed riding here and would certainly ride it again when in Tokoroa.
Fun riding. Most is non extreme, ideal for hard tail riding. None of the hills are too extreme, but well worth a visit. Ideal for night riding!

Fantastic swimming facility. Lots of games set out by the staff. Asked a staff member if they could put a lane for my neice and it was no bother. All staff that we encountered were extremely helpful and had the Tokoroa whanau feel.
Good sized whanau changing rooms, U16 supervised in spas, good for kids birthdays, lanes available most days for exercise 👍
The reason for my 4 stars review is the Opening hours could be extended a little later with people who live far and work late 6pm is barely time for a swim for 5pm finishes for people who would love a hot soak after a long day, and something a little bit more for the baby’s under 6 my kid gets bored and plays more on the park there, then in the water. But to the lifeguards there yous are awesome! The cleanliness for me is pretty good, and the tables are so handy for lunches. Thank yous 😊
Very nice establishment. The atmosphere is calm, plenty of activities and space. Pools are a good size, there's also Spas. Omgoh amazing. Life guard are always around the pools. Ready & available. Good to see. Facilities are really good. The playground is tidy & good size, Bbq & tables are available. Really nice.
Great fun with my son
Go to water woggle here with a great group of ladies and with Tammy (great cherry instructor) finish with 5 min in the spa pool great way to start the day. Would highly recommend to anyone.
Love coming to the pools! Friendly staff, always clean, great place for small kids (we have small [grand]kids).
This indoor pool complex is pretty basic, but that's all good. The place has a great ventilation system, so I find it's pleasant inside no matter what the season or the weather. Most school holidays we bring the holiday programme here for a swim & it's always a hit

Not many there but staff were awesome and very friendly and movies were great. .food was a bit costly but happy to pay it to help keep cinema going as it is a great asset for tokoroa. Maybe set up a family price for 2 adults and up to 4 kids.
It's not the most comfy or flash movie theater but I rate it with a 4 because the customer service is excellent the ladies working today were absolutely lovely even offered complimentary cake, the kids had a fantastic time so that's the main thing 😊
This is Gregory Harmer Between 1979 to 1985 I managed the Starcinema for the Tokoroa Boough Council. These were the happiest years of our lives for my wife and family. Back in 2007 I tried to relive that beautiful life we had once but there were 2 problems the owners of the building Mr Puschman & Mr Wackrow, who would not compromise on anything to assist in the cinemas survival, who I would say have long gone. It is truly, truly, remarkable and satisfying to see that the Cinema in Tokoroa has survived & out lived even after big neighbouring cities Rotorua's Odeon & Majestic & Hamilton's Regent, Embassy & Carlton cinemas are gone. A TRULY MAGNIFICENT EFFORT FROM THE PEOPLE OF TOKOROA who have maintained the survival of Cinema. Well done folks! You've achieved what I could'nt. Cheers & God bless you all TOKOROA Whanau.
This is a great place to go and sit and watch that movie, friendly staff that are always ready to help you. Clean and tidy. Cost is better than Hamilton
Useless, website not up to date. The movie we wanted to watch was not on. And when we got there the girl seemed very confused as to what actually was on. Would not recommend this cinema again. Worth driving on to Taupo to go to movies. Or stay home and watch Netflix.
Midnight screening - good turnout friendly with free tea & coffee. Seats a little bit old & cup holders damaged - still a good venue to have in Tokoroa.
Staff are always great. First time going under the current management, and it was great. Popcorn smell gets me everytime
This place is great, it's a shame that it doesn't get patronized enough. Only thing is a large popcorn costs $9, that price is ridiculous

Great little course. Greens are slow after coring, to be expected. Clubhouse looks great after a well deserved freshen up. Uneven nines front 37 one par 3 and two par 5's back nine 3 pars 3's and two par 5's. Get through the first three holes and the course opens up a bit more, some lovely rural views as you meander through the undulating landscape. A few bunkers are scattered around 8 of the 18 greens. Club has a small shop open 8-5 Monday through Friday with balls gloves tees etc available along with drink fridge. The 18th is a fantastic finishing hole short par 5 ob right green slopes away on 3 side four bunkers and ob a couple of bounces to the left of the green, great risk/reward hole.
Nice course good challenge. Just off SH1. Only downside was they said the bar would be open when we finished and it wasn't. Good value.
Great little spot just off SH1. Peter looked after me, even though I arrived in the rain on a pretty miserable day. My recommendation is to hire a cart! It’s an undulating course - lovely spot though! Will be back.
What a gem, driven past so many times, stopped today 16/05. Played 18 holes, challenging on some holes but well worth the stop. Fairways nicely mowed, greens run true. Stop and play you will not be disappointed
Top photo..... ninth hole. Bottom photo ..... third hole. Nice course. Great layout. Wasn't sure if th $10 Monday is a full 18 or not. But $25 green fees on the other days.
Beautiful course to play , nice and open fairways good course for a beginner like me ,and just a good vibe 👍👍👍👍
Underrated, with a little more ground keeping and new club house, the course could be one of the best in NZ! Better than courses in Hamilton and waikato. Friendly staff also.
A great challenging course, will definitely be back. If the kitchen is open it is well worth grabbing something to eat.
