Beautiful grounds for a relaxing meal or drink in the shade. Excellent range of wines and they have a wine club. Caroline was a fantastic host and we picked up some great wines not available elsewhere.
The sparkling Italian high tea was a great point of difference and very enjoyable…loved the variety! Anthony was a fun and knowledgeable host and made us feel comfortable and content
What an absolutely delightful afternoon! High tea at Pizzini Winery was a delight from both a culinary and social perspective. Beautiful surroundings, friendly, attentive, and welcoming staff, delicious food, and beautiful wines. Dietary restrictions were not an issue; they just need prior notice. If you are in the King Valley do yourself a favour and check out Pizzini Wines and the different experiences they offer.
Always have a fantastic experience here. The wines are excellent with a wide range to suit all tastes and budgets. Staff are so friendly and helpful, there's a genuine family feel to the winery. The setting is beautiful too. An excellent quick stop on your road trip or longer visit if you're staying in the area.
Pizzini wines were great, providing a nice introduction to the Italian wines the region produces. We went during winter and Pizzini were one of the few places open on the weekday we went. Special shout out to Giacomo, our amazing sommelier, who happily answered all our questions - sharing his expertise from his extensive study and practical experience, whilst talking us through the tasting. Really great spot, highly recommend Pizzini wines if you visit King Valley.
Had the pleasure to experience a wine tasting with Anthony and Duncan. I not only loved the wines (particularly the brachetto and riesling), but the knowledge, stories, and recommendations to pair for my upcoming dinner parties was stellar! Loved it and will be back!
Our second stop at the King Valley region was at Pizini Wines ~ Italian at heart inspired where we were warmly greeted by Karen; Mario and Isabelle. Seated in such a warm and welcoming environment, Isabelle presented us with some tasters olives; caramel popcorn; chilli popcorn and bread sticks and presented us with the wine tasting experience!! Isabelle was extremely pleasant, accomodating and provided alternatives for the individual pallet . We enjoyed hearing about the growth of the Pizzini family, their passion and commitments to their winemaking dream. The surroundings were nice to. We were lucky to also have a friendly chat with owner Fred and hear about his experience and innovative ways of continuing business during the pandemic. We truly enjoyed our experience at pizzini. Purchased a few bottles of wine at the end and couldn’t resist buying the caramel popcorn + chilli popcorn ~ thanks for the lovely hospitality and looking forward to returning and trying out the cooking school.
High class and quality winery in the King Valley, specialising in many Italian variety of grapevines making superb wines. Service amazing from Michelle who knew her wines. A must on you next Victorian trip. We will be back

This is such a fantastic, fun short walk. The kids loved it! And the view was absolutely spectacular. The little caves you can climb in are fun too. There’s a drop toilet at the car park and the first view point is accessible to everyone.
Great to see where Ned Kelly and Harry Powell hid out in the bush. Some steps but not overly difficult but well worth the effort - the views are stunning. Highly recommend to go down their the creek in between the farmhouse and king river camping and look up into the hill to see the lookout from ground level. (As per my pictures) The Quinn’s original homestead would have been down in that area.
The view was stunning! The car park was empty when we arrived. There are toilets and a little fireplace area. I believe you can camp around the area as well. Lookout 2 is well worth the walk !
Amazing views over the whole valley and high country. Breathtaking! Short walk with lots of stairs but well worth the effort!!
Stunning views. Well maintained gravel road. Well worth the short detour. Walk to lookout 1 involves step decent and a couple of ladders but not too strenuous and very worthwhile.
This is the bushrangers Ned Kelly and Harry Powell's area. The lookout is named after Harry Powell. Brilliant views from the two lookout points, over the King River valley. There is a toilet there as well. It is worth the 4km gravel road (but we had to take the car via the wishy-washy later). Yes, worth the excursion. Recommended.
Amazing views and peaceful atmosphere! The lookout gives a stunning view over King Valley. Well worth the drive.
Really great view. Reminds me of the Austrian alps. Another place where famous connection to Ned Kelly was captured - Harry Powers

Dalz Otto was incredible. The food and service was exceptional. 10/10. Highly recommend the 3-course menu for a taste of everything and the limoncello spritz goes without saying. Nacho was an exceptional waiter and made sure the experiance was lush and comfortable on a hot day. The biggest plus was we got to enjoy it with our doggos. We will be back!
Stunning Winter afternoon, sunshine, pizza and Prosecco - what more could you ask for? Friendly Italian hospitality, incredible dessert (burnt pumpkin cheesecake!!) and delicious cacciatore croquettes to start, this was a perfect visit from start to finish ( and the outdoor area is dog friendly!)
Friendly wine tasting experience for a fee (unless you sweet talk your way and buy a bottle). Reasonable range on tasting. Some platters of snacks, but no restaurant. Great place to sit outside with a glass (or a bottle - don't drink and drive).
The best place to be on a sunny winter afternoon! We had a wonderful lunch at Dal Zotto—absolutely nothing to fault. Mauro was so friendly as he helped us navigate the menu and recommended wine pairings. We thoroughly enjoyed every single course, starting with the octopus which was tender and flavourful, moving onto the porchetta (that crackling!) and finishing with a selection of sweets, including the pumpkin cheesecake, which were all delicious. The focaccia was another standout with an incredible tomato infused olive oil—I also loved the extra flaky salt on the side. We drank the Prosecco Col Fondo, Barbera and Montepulciano. They were all winners. We had such a great time, a real example of high quality hospitality. Can’t wait to be back.
Located in Victoria’s stunning King Valley region, Dal Zotto Winery is a must visit location. Famous for its Prosecco, Dal Zotto offered several stunning versions - we indulged in their award winning Col Fondo, which is crafted using original Italian pre-industrialized methods, undergoing its second fermentation in the bottle to create a less fizzy, complex and refreshing taste with a hint of lemon sorbet. I was intrigued by the way the bottle is gently rolled prior to serving to blend the sediment and enhance the flavour! Receiving 95 Halliday Points, the Col Fondo is definitely a winner in my books. After enjoying a wine tasting at their cellar door, we headed to their casual trattoria for a relaxed lunch overlooking the stunning vineyards, outdoor informal dining area and foothills of the Alpine National Park - what a backdrop! Our pick of wines for lunch was the Barbera which was the perfect accompaniment to our tomato based pizza. The food was deliziosa, with quality ingredients and the service was friendly, efficient and accommodating. I can highly recommend every dish we were served. The polenta chips with whipped ricotta and pomegranate molasses were light, crispy and extremely more ish - a definite winner! The rocket and pear salad with crispy prosciutto was super tasty, but nothing (and I mean nothing) compared to the incredible wood fired pizza! The crust was light, airy and crispy and the thin base was topped with a tomato base, fior di latte cheese, San Daniele prosciutto & rocket. I was literally in heaven. It was THAT good. Overall, a sensational way to start a relaxing extra long weekend and highly recommended.
The food here is amazing, the staff are all so friendly and helpful, it has a nice atmosphere the wines are very enjoyable and the owners, Otto and Elena are lovely. We shared a pizza, gnocchi and polenta chips and they were so tasty. I would recommend to anyone to come here and have a meal.
Exceptional food, wine and service. They were welcoming and very accomodating for kids too. Also had plenty of gluten free options on their menu. Amazing pizza and pasta! The cellar door selection is impressive as most of their wines aren’t available through retail stores. We will be back for another visit! 👌🏻
Lunch is a must!! Phenomenal pizzas, carpaccio and pastas. We had the polenta chips, carpaccio, pear and walnut salad with two pizzas with a bottle of Dal Zotto Prosecco for lunch outside. Service was fast and staff were friendly and accommodating to our needs. If you’re hungry while visiting the King Valley, make a booking for lunch here.
