Wow what a sunset over the Indian Ocean. Have never seen so many people sat down just watching a sunset. Cottesloe is a special place and it seemed fitting that we ended the Perth leg of our trip watching the sun go down. Awesome.
Clean ocean, well maintained foreshore paths, the beach itself however has too many submerged rocks which combined with the waves can be dangerous at times.
A beautiful beach although for whatever reason it’s sometimes very smelly with seaweed. The exercise park is great although the 5G tower from the OBH emits some seriously high levels of EMFs, which point directly at it. Overall I do like it very much
A must-visit for anyone in the Perth area! Cottesloe Beach truly lives up to its reputation as one of Western Australia's most iconic and beautiful beaches. The moment you arrive, you're greeted by a stunning expanse of pristine white sand and crystal-clear, brilliant blue water of the Indian Ocean.
As a visitor from the UK, I have normally been here in the summer when it is rammed with people. I went back last month via Transperth Trains. Was able to Explore the area with very few people ! , far better than the Summer Months, and the light was Superb !
Beautiful beach for a relaxing stroll. The sea breeze is super refreshing, and the sunset view is amazing — very peaceful vibes. There’s also a small playground nearby, so kids can have fun while adults enjoy the scenery. Parking is available along the roadside, which makes it convenient to visit. Great spot to unwind and enjoy nature.
If you’re looking for a must-visit spot near Perth, Cottesloe is definitely worth checking out. It’s a beautiful beach with a lovely atmosphere, and you’ll meet some friendly people there. Plus, you can witness the stunning colour changes throughout the day. It’s a truly magical place!
One of Perths best beaches! Best to get here early for prime parking. Swimming beach and surfing beach, separated by wharf. There's a few free shaded beach bungalows on the beach and plenty of shade area on the grass.

Sea View Golf Club in Cottesloe offers one of the most scenic golfing experiences in Western Australia. Perched right on the coast, the course delivers breathtaking ocean views from nearly every hole—playing here feels like a perfect blend of golf and nature. The course itself is well-maintained, with smooth greens, tidy fairways, and a layout that’s enjoyable for both casual and experienced golfers. While it’s a 9-hole course, the design makes it feel fresh and challenging every time, especially with the coastal breeze adding variety to each round. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. Staff are friendly, professional, and clearly passionate about the club. The clubhouse is a great place to unwind after a game, offering good food, cold drinks, and spectacular sunset views over the water. Whether you’re a regular player or just visiting the area, Sea View Golf Club is absolutely worth a round. It combines quality golf with one of the best locations you’ll find anywhere.
A wonderful hospitality team lead by supremo venue manager Jenny organised my recent big birthday party. Lovely outdoor venue with delicious food. Guests particularly loved the chicken korma& smoked salmon tarts, delicious! Thanks Jen & the team. 🩷⭐️
Visited today to view the miniature side of the Cottesloe Sculptures by the Sea. After we checked out all the art works, I enquired if the bar was open to the public, it was. The specials board looked like it had some very reasonably priced meals, so we decided to have a drink on the little alcove balcony, before ordering our meals. What a perfect place to unwind. After our drink we decided to order the Seafood Chowder and the Halloumi and Sweet Potato Salad. They were both excellent meals. The Seafood Chowder was defiantly one of the best I have had. The afternoon sea breeze moved in so we headed for am inside table and continued to enjoy the view through the glass across the greens and out to Rottnest. Today you could see all the way past Rottnest clearly, fantastic visibility. While ordering another drink I enquired about the social membership. It is only $25 per annum to join. An absolute bargain considering how reasonably priced the food and drinks are. The barman was incredibly helpful, offering suggestions on where to sit to enjoy the best views and opening up the balcony for us. Such a magic place to enjoy the incredible view while enjoying a relaxing meal. We will defiantly be returning here.
A gem. Small challenging greens. The views are just super. Really love this 9 hole course
We called and booked in for a small staff get together Friday after work. Friendly staff, fantastic view with lots of space to enjoy. The small garden alfresco was beautiful. Cool retro county vibe. Hot wedges and a couple of beers/wines went down a treat.
Weirdly you can take your dog three.....so last week saw a guy hit his ball straight into the side of the head of his beagle....dog was not in good shape
A little dated but has amazing views. Ladies toilets are downstairs well away from everything which is odd. Wheelchair access very difficult.
A public golf course with excellent facilities, immaculately maintained grounds and amazing Indian Ocean views.

What a stunning spot! We visited "Cottesloe eatz and Beatz" festival which regularly happens Wednesday evenings as the sun sets! There are kids & adult games, music (thanks Mr DJ) a little dancing and lots of good dinner options from the food trucks. It is a perfect setting for settling down to yummy food truck goodness and a couple of cold bevies! Great afternoon out!!
honestly would love to gatekeep this place but absolutely stunning and great for picnics, and just to soak in the sun in these cold days
The venue is beautiful and made for a wonderful wedding at the War Memorial Hall. Just be careful about the pricing as the mayor approved a price rise to $300 an hour for the hall This price is not advertised alongside the price for other types of bookings at the hall on the Town of Cottesloe website. Furthermore the process for hall hire does not cater for bringing service vehicles such as caters onsite to set up. Our wedding was on a Saturday and on the Wednesday I was told try to get the rego and type of vehicle and email to council. 20 mins before the council closed on the Friday I was told I need the name and mobile as well. When we said that is not possible the council said have a nice wedding and hung up on us. On the wedding day 3 council rangers were standing at the entrance in an intimidating manner and luckily let the services onsite but made the guests very uncomfortable. I gave 2 stars as the venue is beautiful but not worth the stressful experience the Town of Cottesloe put us through.
Beautiful building, friendly staff, great acoustics
One of the best hidden gem in the Perth! Only 5 mins walk from Cottesloe beach. Great place for picnic and photo shoot as well.
Be careful! Town of Cottesloe is underhanded with their bookings. They did not tell my wedding client that they had already booked a ceremony at the Civic Centre on my client's wedding date, which resulted in both weddings happening at the same time. There was so much confusion, distractions from the other ceremony and parking was a shamble! They even gave me a $500 parking infringement despite there being no parking available for all the wedding vendors. I do not recommend this venue.
Fantastic wedding venue, the view and stone work is really quite something. If your searching for a venue it's worth checking out the garden
Have been to both a wedding and a birthday here and found it to be a perfect venue. Very picturesque, beautiful open lawns with sweeping views of Cottesloe beach. Plenty of elegant staircases for great photo opportunities. Would be nice if there were more trees around to provide shade. Parking can be a bit tricky for large events.
