Merricks Store had been recommended to us by a friend and we had decided to eat there during a trip around a couple of other places in the vicinity. We rang for a booking, got one at short notice and wow are we pleased we managed to. The place is amazing, with incredibly welcoming staff, a relaxed and yet sophisticated, rustic environment. The staff absolutely knew what they were talking about and went out of their way to offer suggestions about wines, and what would go well with different dishes too, along with testing. The food was amazing and then after eating we enjoyed the free wine tasting that was offered, and ended up making a purchase, which was shipped accordingly for us. Would highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys good food, a great atmosphere, and shops to nose around and discover. A truly great setting and hidden gem.
Excellent dining experience at Merricks Store. Delicious locally sourced food, wine, and other beverages. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly with attention drawn to seasonal dishes available. The ambiance and atmosphere of the restaurant area is pleasant and calming with lots of natural light. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re looking for something special on the Mornington Peninsula.
Such a gorgeous venue which offers wine tasting, full restaurant, and on site gift shop. Everything was divine, from the charming country decor to the delectable food. Make sure you incorporate this into your next trip to the peninsular!
What can I say? Great venue, staff were so friendly and the food was wonderful. Just a couple of minor things. Had the Pork Belly. Two completely different tasting sauces. Would only preferred one and my wife had the Steak. One piece was covered in the sauce. She would have preferred to one side so can have the choice of having it or not. Obviously everybody are different. Highly recommend Merricks General Store. Prices are at the top end but who cares if you get served quality food.
I recently visited the Merricks General Store for a long lunch and wine tasting, and it was an experience to remember. From the moment we arrived, the wine was flowing, and our collection grew with each tasting. Tim was an excellent guide, leading us through various vineyards and wineries, and by the end, we found ourselves with 28 bottles for our home cellar!😬 Located at 3460 Frankston-Flinders Rd, Merricks, the store boasts a fantastic selection of wines that I highly recommend exploring. The food was beautifully prepared, and the service was attentive, making the entire experience even more enjoyable. We started with freshly shucked oysters, which were delightful, followed by sea bream crudo that was incredibly fresh. The spring peas with smoked ricotta was a highlight, bursting with flavor, and the farm beetroot was simply delicious. The wild grain risotto with spanner crab was exceptional, showcasing the chef's skill and heavy hand with the crab. For the other main course, the rock flathead fillet served with nori beurre blanc, braised fennel, salmon roe, samphire, and bottarga was stunning and beautifully presented. To finish, we tried the London fog crème brûlée infused with earl grey and lavender, which was lovely, although the dark chocolate tart with Seville orange and lime was a bit salty for our taste. Overall, it was an exceptional meal and tasting experience that I would highly recommend to anyone looking to enjoy fine food and wine in a charming setting👌.
We recently had our wedding at Merricks General Store for both the ceremony and reception and it could not have been more perfect! Merricks warmly accommodated everything to our liking with amazing service throughout the evening. As always, Merricks continues to serve sensational food, which is why we have also dined there several times before our big event! Thank you to all the amazing staff of Merricks and especially, Kerry for making our day special. We can’t wait to come back again and recommend you to our family and friends!
A look around not today. An amazing beautiful place. Friendly host explained the different areas and meal options. A return visit for a meal is needed.
Why bother? Ten of us dined. 3 ppl liked their meal. Risotto was undercooked and sour. Burgers were tasteless. Skewers were nice. Food was adequate. Vegetables were fresh and nice. Service and atmosphere was perfectly fine. Also overpriced.

Fantastic wines & charcuterie options. You truly can’t go wrong! Lovely cellar door with thoughtful architectural details. Enjoyed chatting with the host - she was wonderful & tied the whole experience together for us. Highly recommend!!
Without doubt the premier place to taste exceptional wine and relax in beautiful surrounds. The Pinot and Chardonnay are always incredible and there are few more enjoyable things to do on a sunny day to sit under the creeper vines and have a bottle with some wine and meats!
Great Experience at Stonier Winery We had such a great time at Stonier Winery. The staff were incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home. Our sommelier, Mon, was amazing – fun, engaging, and super knowledgeable. After the tasting, we put together our own cheese board and enjoyed it with a glass of wine while taking in the stunning views. Beautiful place, great wine, and such a relaxed vibe.
Amazing staff, and great wines. The staff were really fun and informative, giving lots of advice and detail about the different grapes and wines grown there and close by. Really happy to answer questions and share their knowledge. The wines were delicious and we bought a couple of bottles. Additionally, incredibly helpful and honest staff, who after I lost an item there, not realizing until much later, they'd already put it away safely and kept it for me.
If you love picnics or have kids that want to have fun running around then this is your place! A different winery concept located few miles from Dromana, it’s around a 50 minute drive from bayside. You either bring in your own picnic 🧺 or could build your own Charcuterie board from their wide selection of cheeses, deli’s crackers, nuts etc…. They offer great quality of local produce from around Australia n their items are very decently priced. They’re specialised in bubbly & white wines but do have a range of red Shiraz. Celina & Simon are so knowledgable about their wine & will give you a short informative session about each wine if you go for a wine tasting session. I would highly recommend this place as the staff are so friendly, the place is so calming & the snack selection was perfect!! We are definitely going back
This was my favourite winery of the trip. The service was fantastic and friendly. Lots of passion about the venue and wines was shared. The wines are organic, and each of them delicious. The Windmill Pinot Noir was outstanding. Venue and grounds are beautiful.
My favourite stop on the Mornington getaway. Loved the relaxed design of the cellar door. I sat by the fire in a comfy sofa as I worked through the tasting. The staff member pouring was a pleasure to chat to and made the geology in the glass come alive. Their 2024 Reserve Single Vineyard Pinot was exceptional. Well worth the visit.
A perfect spot to have some wine and one of D.O.C’s cheese charcuterie boxes looking out at the view. We loved our wine tasting in the charming rustic cellar door. And took some lovely wine home. Will definitely be back!

Beautiful winery with lovely service. We all loved all of the wines that were on offer at Paradigm with an added bonus of an antipasto plate that came with the tasting. We can’t wait to return!
Lovely little cellar door experience here! We came in late afternoon, only one staff memeber on which was the owners wife? (Need correction). Anyways she was fabulous, lovely set us up with a little cheese platter and served us and another couple at the same time. Lovely story behind the vineyard and delicious wines to go with it as well, can not rate highly. Well Done! ✔️
Winery driven by passion Its always lovely to find a hidden gem especially in a location that you frequent. We discovered Paradigm Hill on our way to one of our favourite lunch spots and decided to give it a try. The long hedge edged driveway lent an air of anticipation and discovery. It was a cosy little place with a warm fireplace overlooking a beautiful vineyard. The range of wines on offer was small but exclusive with a definite focus on quality rather than quantity. Being small eaters, we found their charcuterie "board" ideal for a intimate lunch for two. Well thought out and perfectly executed with tasty morsels that complemented their wines that ranged from Reisling through to a cold climate Shiraz, Normally Shiraz drinkers, we gravitated towards their excellent Pinots which we found reminiscent of their more full bodied New Zealand cousins. The L`Ami Sage was lovely but it was their limited range Les Cinq that caught our attention with its wonderful bouquet unlike any that we have encountered to date. This is definitely on our list of favourites for our future visits to the Peninsula
Amazing experience here! We had a last minute wine tasting and the wine was amazing and also included an antipasto board !! Lovely run family winery and we can’t wait to go back xx
George was an absolute pleasure to spend time with. Upon arrival we were greeted by George and his lovely wife. The view is pristine and the air fresh. While tasting the wines George told us about the history of the Mornington peninsula and the wine it produces as well as the extreme measures he takes to get the best flavours the weather has to offer the vines.
This was the first and only winery in our plans, but after going through the tasting we realized we should spend more time in the area. The person who served us was incredibly knowledgeable and was really passionate about the vineyard and others we could visit. She helped us narrow down which wines we liked and suggested another place nearby that had we had a great success at as well. This is one of the only places in the region making a Riesling.
A wonderful place to visit for good wine and gorgeous setting on the peninsula. Though the Pinot Noir and Shiraz were both very good, my husband leans towards Reislings (me too), and during the hot days, I've enjoyed Rose, so we bought both and they are delicious. They also serve delicious, filtered rain water and owner was exceptionally friendly. Highly recommend!
Interesting wines, 6 on tasting with a $15 fee. I'm happy to support that, because I didn't enjoy any enough to buy (neither did my mates) For me, disappointing with such a great location and potential.

We had a milestone celebration and was looking for something a little bit "special" we had heard about Pt Leo Laura restaurant, so decided to give it a go. It certainly did not disappoint. Our table gave us plenty of room to enjoy a panoramic view of the sculpture park and coastline. The service and attention was at the right level and the food was magnificent - from the amuse bouche, flambe lobster at the table to the final coffee we had an amazing dining experience. I would definitely recommend, make sure there is plenty of room on your credit card, but worth every cent. 👍👍👍👍👍
A group of us came to Pt. Leo Estate in Flinders on a Saturday afternoon for a birthday lunch. The winery is situated on Victoria's pristine Mornington Peninsula and the estate is home to 50 acres of vines, sculpture park and restaurant. It is a really idealic and beautiful location, in which the restaurant and winery overlook the vineyards and bay. On arrival, I joined the birthday girl and others at the bar, whilst waiting for our restaurant table to be ready. A bartender told me that I wouldn't be allowed to sit at the bar, as we had reached our maximum capacity of group of 7. After looking around and seeing about 30 available seats from nearby tables, and counting 7 of us at the bar, she said that it was okay for me to stay there. This was a bit of a negative experience as her attitude towards me felt very hostile, and not a pleasant way to be greeted. After being seated for lunch at around 1:30pm, we were guided through the menu by a waiter, and we all ordered our drinks and selected our mains. Despite our booking being from 1:30pm for lunch, we did not receive our entrees until 2:48pm, so it was a very long wait. Our main meals did not arrive until 3:36pm, and dessert arrived at 4:14pm. Fortunately, we were all enjoying ourselves and the dining experience, but that is far too long to be waiting for our food, especially since we had pre-booked this birthday event months in advance. Additionally, there were 4 people on our table with dietary requirements. The waiter (accidentally) made an error and gave one of the celiac girls an entree with gluten in it, which could have been quite detrimental to her had she eaten it. After alerting the staff of this, they were quite apologetic and the manager came up to her personally to apologise and inform her that she had reminded the waiters and kitchen staff of our table's dietary intolerances and allergies. They were kind enough to waive the fee for some of our hot beverages as a compensation for making the dietary error. After our dining experience, we went for a short walk to look at the sculpture park. It was a very windy and chilly day, so we didn't stick around for too long after that. Overall, Pt. Leo Estate is a very beautiful estate with winery and vineyard. The food was tasty, but the wait times were extremely long. The customer service was reasonable, but at times needed improvement in terms of friendliness and ensuring dietary intolerances were considered.
What a stunning location in nice weather. As a Google reviewer my main interest is the cuisine. I had the pleasure of attending a formal 3 course lunch and I was impressed most especially by the degree in which the chef's source from the local region! Down to the salad leaves! 🥗 As I appreciate the snapper is local, I think the chefs could do it better justice than grilling as the corners dry too much. I know a batter or crumb wouldn't look as fancy but it may keep the moisture in a bit better. Whilst I found the diners a little bit la-dee-da and pretentious that's not in control of the owners. This just might be because I am from interstate and not used to Victorians haha. It might also be because the Australian cuisine is 🇫🇷French inspired. Photos of dishes in order: 🐟 Yellowfin tuna eschabeche, olasgati anchovies, pickled quindilla and oxheart tomatoes 🍥 Savoury burnt basque cheesecake, heirloom carrots 🎏 Wood roasted snapper, estate NV sparkling beurre blanc, toasted almonds, charred broccolini 🥩 Flinders+Co "Vintage reserve" beef eye fillet, sauce au poirvre vert, charred shallots, brandy 🍮 Passionfruit cremeux, caramel sauce, mango sorbet, elderflower
What a stunning place! We had such a wonderful time exploring the beautiful gardens. Everything was absolutely immaculate — the grounds are so well maintained, spotless, and full of life. We loved walking through the gardens, admiring the incredible sculptures, and taking the time to read about each and every one of them. It was such a peaceful and inspiring experience. We also enjoyed a fantastic wine tasting. The sommelier was excellent — knowledgeable, engaging, and full of passion for the wines. We learned so much, and obviously had to buy a bottle to take home. It was a perfect experience from start to finish. Five out of five — brilliant in every way. Thank you for such a memorable visit!
Came here for lunch and from the moment you step in you get great customer service and attentive throughout. Had king crab pasta which had a nice tasty sauce and Octopus for entree. Had the Snapper and Barramundi with brussel sprouts and anna pomme for sides. Chardonny and Pinot Noir complemented the meals well. Overall tasty and a wonderful experience followed by a complimentary diner to view the sculptures.
A Refined Experience at Pt. Leo Estate – Where Wine Meets Art and Elegance As a wine lover, visiting Pt. Leo Estate was nothing short of exceptional. Nestled along the stunning Mornington Peninsula, the estate offered a perfect blend of sophistication, natural beauty, and world-class craftsmanship. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the serene vineyard views and the elegant design of the space; a true celebration of art, nature, and fine wine. The quality of the wines was remarkable, each glass showcasing depth, balance, and character that reflected the passion behind every bottle. The staff were knowledgeable and attentive, elevating the tasting experience with their expertise and warmth. Every detail; from the presentation to the pairing suggestions, felt thoughtfully curated, turning a simple wine tasting into a memorable sensory journey. Pt. Leo Estate is more than a destination for wine; it’s an experience that engages every sense. It reminds you why great wine isn’t just tasted, it’s felt, shared, and remembered long after the final sip.
"Absolutely loved our visit to Pt Leo! The beach is stunning, and the views of Western Port Bay are breathtaking. We enjoyed a delicious lunch at the Pt Leo Restaurant, with the wood-fired cooking taking our meal to the next level. The Sculpture Park is a unique and impressive addition, with some amazing artworks on display. The atmosphere is relaxed and perfect for a special occasion or a chill day out. We also appreciated the friendly and attentive service from the staff. Highly recommend Pt Leo for anyone looking for a beautiful spot to enjoy good food, stunning views, and some art! Five stars"
We had an amazing lunch at Pt. Leo Estate. The octopus and wood-fired snapper were both absolutely delicious — fresh, perfectly cooked, and full of flavour. The highlight, though, was the service. Our waiter was fantastic, treating us to a range of different wines to try, opening our eyes to new flavours and styles we wouldn’t normally choose. It really elevated the whole experience. The only downside was the atmosphere inside — it felt a bit hectic, with lots of tables packed in quite close together and plenty of kids running around. Would’ve loved a bit more space to enjoy the setting. Overall though, incredible food, outstanding service, and definitely worth a visit.
