It is a beautiful garden. On a busy day they hire parking assistant to help guiding people to park. Staff is friendly to give you a map and welcome you. The garden has built plenty of facilities, shaded area for picnic, toilets and ice cream booth. The garden is maintained well. On Australia Day weekend the flowers are not in full blossom so guess that we might be a bit late in the season. Overall this is a nice place and can see the management put in great effort to make it a great place to visit
The Blue Lotus Water Garden in Yarra Junction offers visitors a serene and expansive environment, showcasing thousands of lotus flowers and water lilies across 14 acres of lakes, ponds, and wetlands. The garden is thoughtfully designed with numerous picnic huts and shelters, providing ideal spots for family gatherings and leisurely lunches amidst the vibrant flora. For younger visitors and those young at heart, the Flower Fairy Garden adds a touch of whimsy to the experience. This enchanting area features giant mushrooms, a wishing well, and a slide, creating a magical atmosphere. On weekends and public holidays, the garden often hosts a Fairy Queen who engages children with storytelling sessions, enhancing the fairy-tale ambiance. The garden also caters to families with children by offering play areas and scavenger hunt activities, ensuring an engaging visit for all ages. Additionally, the presence of BBQ facilities and a café provides various dining options, allowing visitors to choose between bringing their own food or enjoying the on-site offerings. Overall, the Blue Lotus Water Garden provides a tranquil and picturesque setting, making it a delightful destination for nature lovers and families seeking a peaceful retreat.
The drive up was great. It is now the end of lotus season however I was amazed at the different species colours, sizes and shapes. The flowering season is 24 December to 21/4 every year, confirm with the site directly. It was the most enjoyable day to walk around and experience such diversity in one place. The gardens are an attachment to the nursery.
it was beautiful and such a lovely place to walk around. But the day we went was very hot, and unfortunately, many of the flowers were already wilted or past their peak. I think it’s best to visit in the middle of the event season rather than towards the end for a better experience. Still, it’s a charming spot overall! 🪷🪷🪷🪷
I visited Blue Lotus Garden in March 2024 and was amazed by its peaceful beauty. The vibrant lotus blooms were stunning, and the weather was perfect—sunny yet mild, making the stroll through the garden even more enjoyable. The well-maintained paths and calm atmosphere provided a relaxing experience. The on-site café was a great spot for a refreshing drink and light snacks, offering a perfect break amidst the greenery. Overall, it was a lovely escape into nature, ideal for those looking for tranquility and beauty. Heads up for cafe 👍
Very customer focused, a great venue for big group gatherings, plenty for kids to see as well (kids free under 15). Paths are designed with lovely shade areas to sit, rest and admire the beautiful atmosphere and flowering lotus. On a 30.C day we could still meander through the water garden with comfort and ease, even with plenty of visitors. Get in early (10am open) for the best photos and a well earned rest at the gorgeous cafe with lotus chips, an icy cold drink, when the crowds start building. Staff are very accomodating as you can bring your own food with picnic tables available, BBQ facilities and toilets are clean. A perfect day to enjoy the beauty of these flowers.
Exceptional! Beautiful gardens, easy to walk around even with my dodgy knees, lots of benches and little shaded huts to stop and admire the view or have your picnic, cafe staff were friendly and efficient, enjoyed my quiche. Clean toilets and well managed carpark, everything was running like a well oiled machine, I was impressed. I also bought a bunch of lillies to take home.
Nature’s wonderful beauty at it’s best. Stunning lotuses and water lilies. Huge variety of flowers and plants all around. Must visit and take your guests and family for a picnic in the 1400 acres of beauty developed over 60 years! Lakes, ponds, flower features and trees are a treat for the eyes and soul. Good facilities too.

We had our wedding at Bulong Estate on the weekend and couldn’t recommend it highly enough. It was spacious enough for people to spread out indoors and outdoors but not big enough for groups to get separated. The views were breathtaking and Monica was a pleasure to deal with from the start. We got so many compliments on the venue, staff, food and alcohol and in hindsight wouldn’t change a thing about the day.
I can't thank Monica and her team enough for hosting our wedding at Bulong estate in the 11th of May! We were so blessed with the most perfect autumn afternoon as we celebrated our wedding and sons first birthday! I cannot recommend this venue enough. The communication, the service, the absolutely stunning venue. Everything was perfect; Tha K you so much
Recently celebrated my daughter’s wedding and Monica and the team were brilliant. The venue and surrounds perfect and all went without a hitch. Beautiful settings and highly recommend
Our wedding at Bulong Estate was breathtaking, could not have asked for a nicer venue. Bulong is nestled right in the heart of the Yarra Valley, with beautiful surrounds for photos. Due to the dicey weather our ceremony was initially set up under the marquee, but once we arrived and the weather cleared Monica went above and beyond to reshuffle everything at the last minute so we could have our dream ceremony outdoors. The venue has a wonderful indoor-outdoor reception space which was perfect for our 60 person wedding with room for DJ, photobooth and a gelati cart. The deck is equipped with fairy lights which give off a beautiful glow in the evening. Wine was plentiful and guests commented on the quality. Monica made sure everything operated seamlessly throughout the evening. We had a lovely experience hosting our wedding ceremony and reception at Bulong Estate and would gladly recommend it to others.
We had our wedding here! Monica was absolutely amazing during our planning and put so much of her time and effort into helping us make our day perfect. I would highly recommend this venue if you are looking for somebody or a space that will accommodate your needs. The winery itself was beautiful. all the vines are just started sprouting. She took us up into the vineyard for our photos which was very kind of her and our photos turned out amazing. The staff that they had for our bar were so kind so understanding very friendly our day runs smoothly and I believe that I could not have asked for a better venue manager to help create our special day. The inside area is beautiful. It is very spacious very modern. The bridal retreat again very spacious. We ended up putting our dresses on there and there was plenty of room for myself. My family and my bridal girls with me. It is also child friendly. We had quite a few children there no issues. I would 100% recommend bulong estate To anyone looking for a nice little vineyard to get married or even host functions !
Monica’s incredible professionalism, warmth, and kindness combined with Bulong Estate’s stunning scenery create the perfect recipe for a seamless and stress-free wedding. Communication with Monica was effortless. She made sure that both we and our guests were cared for from start to finish. Her friendly nature made the entire experience feel even more special, almost like celebrating our beautiful day with a close family member. I highly suggest checking her instagram account, as it will give you ideas on how beautiful the venue is. Bulong Estate is impeccably managed. The lawn was the ideal size for our medium-sized wedding, and the layout allowed us to divide the space into four distinct areas without feeling either under-decorated or cramped. The scenery was truly breathtaking. Most importantly, having exclusive use of the entire venue gave us the intimacy and privacy we wanted, without the worry of sharing the space with other events. Overall, an excellent choice for a wedding!
We had our wedding at Bulong last Saturday and couldn’t fault it on anything. From the first moment we walked in to have our first look Monica was so warm and welcoming. We booked then and there !! Everything about the day was perfect, the setting, the staff, the service and the food. I couldn’t imagine a better setting for a relaxed cocktail wedding for around 70 guests. Thank you Monica and all the staff for such a special day. Sarah and Andrew
Monica & the team did a sensational job in hosting our recent wedding. We absolutely adored the venue from the start to finish. Monica was a dream to work with and make our day come true. Nothing was too much. Thankyou so much!

Can't wait till summer so I can get a real idea of how the new ventilation system works, but for now it's freezing in here. This review was supposed to be on the Yarra Centers new court side ventilation system. My bad sorry.

To [Insert Business Name], I had been looking forward to my planned Sunday visit with great anticipation, expecting to see fascinating artefacts and meaningful pieces of history that reflect the character and heritage of Yarra Junction. Unfortunately, the reality of the experience fell far short of these expectations. Rather than being presented with carefully curated historical artefacts, the displays consisted largely of miscellaneous items, scrap metal, and objects that did not appear to hold genuine historical value. This created an impression of clutter rather than a thoughtfully designed exhibition. When I sought further understanding by asking the staff about the items on display, I found their knowledge to be very limited. Instead of providing informative insights or engaging stories that could enhance the visitor experience, responses were vague and unhelpful, which only added to the disappointment. The gold panning section, which I had particularly looked forward to, was especially underwhelming. The use of fool’s gold rather than genuine particles diminished the authenticity and educational potential of the activity, leaving the experience feeling more contrived than enriching. Considering the two-hour drive required to reach the site, the overall visit was not worth the effort. What I had hoped would be a memorable and rewarding cultural outing sadly turned out to be a disheartening and disappointing experience. Sincerely, [Insert your Name],
Nice to spend an hour or two.
A fantastic place to see and learn about times gone by. A great range of exhibits and equipment. Volunteer staff very friendly and informative. A good selection of reasonably priced historical books also available. Toilets very clean.
Dear ROSS, I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with my recent visit to your museum on today. What was meant to be an enjoyable and educational experience turned into a frustrating and disappointing one. To begin with, the overall organization of the museum was poor. Exhibits lacked clear explanations or engaging information, and in many areas, displays were broken, outdated, or simply not working at all. Staff seemed unhelpful and uninterested in assisting visitors, which made the experience even worse. On top of that, the facilities were poorly maintained. [Insert specific issue here: e.g., “Several galleries were uncomfortably hot and stuffy,” or “The restrooms were dirty and unacceptable for a public venue.”] Considering the price of admission, this is inexcusable. I expected far more from an institution that advertises itself as [better. Instead, I left feeling like my time was wasted. I urge you to take immediate action to improve the visitor experience. At the very least, I would appreciate a refund for my ticket, but more importantly, I hope you address these issues so future visitors do not have the same negative experience. Sincerely, Curtis Yang
Crank up was a very interesting day,my grandkids loved it and found it very interesting
Unfortunately, it wasn't good at all. We were met with hostility and nobody wanted to assist us in any areas of the museum.
First class exhibits based on local area. Great guide in Ross. Highly recommended
Great museum and awesome volunteers. I spotted this place while passing through Yarra Junction and stopped to take a peek through the fence, as it was past opening hours. The volunteers were just closing up but they opened the gates again and gave me and my partner a guided tour of the premises. The passion they have for keeping this history alive really shines through. Thank you Ross.
