Unreal golf course. 27 holes and quite hilly, would recommend getting a cart if you are playing more than 9. Was very impressed with the greens and tee boxes. And lovely staff. Can’t wait to go back!
We have attended many celebrations at the Beaconsfield Golf Course and have always been impressed with the food and service. When it came to deciding where to hold our Wedding, we couldn’t think of a better place than at the function room at Beaconsfield Golf Course. From the very start Nat and Bryce were great, booking the venue, room setup, catering/menu, and where the ceremony would be held (depending on Melbourne weather), outside, under cover on the decking or inside. The day was fantastic, the weather was beautiful, the outside ceremony was very special and the venue setup was outstanding, but most of all the food was fantastic, overall it was a brilliant day. A special thank you to Nat who was great at returning my phone calls or query’s, was happy to change or do anything for me and on the night made everything perfect. We would highly recommend having a function at Beaconsfield Golf Course. Josie and David
Beacon Hills Golf is an awesome course. The course offers 27 challenging opportunities to play. There are wallabies lazing around through the course. It's a very scenic and fun course to play. Definitely recommend it for a round. If you're a beginner though, be prepared to lose a few balls as it's quite a tough one with narrow fairways.
Unfriendly and belittling staff ruined an otherwise good day out with the boys. As a first time golfer, me and five of my friends were disappointed when our 9-hole session was cut short at our 7th hole due to a tournament/competition taking place that we were unaware of. Moreover, when we moved to a different part of the course and away from the competition, we were approached by staff who ridiculed us for not being finished our game after 3 hours. As new golfers we were unbeknownst to any kind of time limit on a session and thought it was unfair our game was cut short, but when we tried to reason with members of staff at the club, we were told that it should be, quote, "assumed knowledge" that over 3hrs for a 9-hole game of golf is an outrageous length of time and that we were in the wrong. We tried telling them that there was a lack of clarity on both the rule sheet they provided and the policies laid out on their website highlighting any kind of time limit, and that we were entitled to our 9 holes service for which we paid since they had failed to notify us on any of this. Instead, we were turned away and told to email our concerns to higher-ups. They also mentioned that the reason we took so long was because there was six of us, and that "of course [we] were going to take longer". This is a moot point because we played in 3 teams of 2 and used only three balls, which is equivalent to 3 players. There was a blatant attempt at demoralisation by stating "so, 3 + 3 = 6..." in response to my friend stating he was unsure on how having 6 people on the grounds who are split into 3 teams would take any considerable length of time longer than having 3 people. Regardless, it says on their website that up to 8 people can play at a time, and I don't know how they expect 8 people to play 9 holes in under three hours but that seems like quite the accomplishment to me. Of course, in the end, these staff members trying to condescendingly teach us basic addition ended up learning some math of their own; 9 holes paid for minus 6 holes played = poor service and a full refund. The golf course was quite nice, nothing fancy, just what you'd expect. It was unfortunate that an otherwise good day out was ruined by a couple of ignorant staff members who stood adamantly by their made-up policies and couldn't admit that they were in the wrong for not warning us on such rules beforehand. Overall a disappointing end to a fun day, and I don't recommend this course for new players unless you like being treated in this manner. In which case, go for it.
fun place to play! A challenging layout on a hilly landscape where the greens are relatively small usually quick. Bunkers can be a little thin on sand at times but that's the only real point for improvement i can suggest. The hills both help and hinder in wet conditions so the soggy lower lying areas can be avoided in wetter months. Local wildlife residents are nice, and the clubhouse and refreshments within are fantastic!
We spent almost 6 hours having fun at this golf course on the Lakes side. Pretty challenging but lots of picturesque spot that made our day. We met the group that play Footgolf on the same site, a bit worrying intern of the safety as at hole no 24 - 26 we share the same path with an opposite direction. If you want to play in a course when you can be very close with the Roos this is definitely the choice. Suggest to call the club house to book motorised cart.
As a group of new excited golfers we played 3 balls with alternating shots. We were unjustly kicked off the course for "taking to long" with no warning and nothing in the policy or the rulebook we were all provided for. Even worse when we asked for clarification instead of being nice and explaining the 2 workers were hostile making fun of us for taking to long and we're extremely rude. Very disappointed and was extremely appulled at how we were treated.
First time playing course.Brilliant.Il be back. Not a bad drive on the 26th 😄👍

What a nice relaxing spot! Nice easy access for water activities like Stand-up paddle boarding and kayaking.
Beautiful little spot for a nice picnic or kayaking! Few benches to sit. But would recommend you bring your picnic mat.
Lovely park. Very peaceful. Couldn't find a bin! We took our rubbish home. A few entitled people didn't!
Australia Day celebrated in style paddle boarding & swimming with many people from all walks of life coming down to enjoy themselves being by the lake, enjoying the freedom of living in Australia.
Lovely lake for water craft only, swimming is not recommended due to possible run off. Excellent for kayaking and fishing (don't eat fish caught) Has picnic tables, some with shade most without, lots of shade trees and portaloos as toilets are unusable. Good parking. Boat ramp, is very slippery. Be careful entering and exiting as entrance is in a 100km zone in overtaking lanes.
Beautiful lake park we enjoyed our breakfast on our way to puffing billy
It's a good place to go if you feel like a picnic or BBQ with a view. Dogs are allowed too. It's a small area though and can get crowded/hard to find spots to sit on weekends or public holidays. There are toilets, and BBQs available but somehow not a single drinking tap or even tap in the entire park.
Used to be a very nice and scenic lake. Pity, lately, the water level of the lake has dropped noticeably, making it look much dryer and not so scenic anymore. Hope it start raining a lot again soon to replenish the level.
