LOVED THIS EXPERIENCE! The guide (didn't get his name but he was a guy) was super knowledgeable and great for the tour. So many different animals and they look happy and healthy. Great for a couple activity or family. Great bang for buck going here only $40 for adults. Make sure you call ahead to book your spot on the tour before getting there. Highly recommend.
What a great little zoo staff are very good. It was very easy access for those with limited mobility although I don't know about wheelchair access. The gates open around 10 minutes before each session you can buy water and soft drinks but know food, there are no picnic facilities so maybe eat before you arrive.
This place was amazing! Our guide, Kate, was particularly passionate and knowledgeable as she drove us around and shared the animals with us. We rode on seats with a shade above us, Safari style through the extensive park. It was a great way of sharing information, building curiosity and excitement, factual and fun. The smaller animals were also a delight to visit. A real highlight of our trip coming out to Griffith!
A must see if you are in the area. The wildlife park has now been running for 20 years and has many important breeding programs. These programs are needed as wild populations have been decimated. The staff have a wonderful knowledge of all the animals. The walk around the small animal enclosure was magic, but the wagon ride around the park was the highlight of the tour. Make sure you book tickets before arriving. PS - We stayed at the Darlington Point caravan park, which was sensational.
It was really well run for the animals to have an enjoyable life and the humans were well looked after in a vehicle towed setup that meant you where high and could see everything really well. This private zoo is well like and supported by many donors who like the ethos of keeping the animals there happy and comfortable and engaged
The kids had a fantastic time, and the host was very knowledgeable. We took a morning tour, which coincided with feeding time for the animals, making it fun to watch.
State of the animal walk. No crocs To see. Was not stated on web page.. Very small enclosures. The young man did his best, when asked some questions he said I don't know Drove 2 hours for not much.
Fantastic zoo to visit. We had the horse & cart which was so much fun & also provided shade on a super hot day. Staff were very knowledgeable about their animals and were really pleasant to deal with, from booking right through the tour and the animal experience. Definitely worth booking an animal experience for after the tour, it’s pretty spectacular to be so close to these amazing creatures. Will definitely be back for another visit!
