The night walk in the Puketi Forest with our guide Ian was amazing. Ian is so pationate and knowledgeable! We had a lovely time and learned so much about the New Zealand flora and fauna, I highly recommend it!
We had Ian on the half day walk tour and we had a fantastic time. Truly he made the trip with fascinating details regarding the forest, its history and plans for the future. We like walking through forests but are not bird watchers or anything so we enjoyed this more than we expected to largely due to Ian's hospitality.
Barb and Ian were fantastic and looked after us from the moment we booked. There was just the 2 of us doing the night time hike with Ian. He was very passionate, incredibly knowledgeable and answered all of our questions while providing brilliant anecdotes with great humour. Would highly recommend.
Ian was a fantastic guide showing us around the forest and pointing out the local flora and fauna. He was knowledgeable and passionate and entertained us with interesting facts and funny local stories as we walked amongst the native bush. The giant kauri trees were definitely impressive and we appreciate the work Ian and Barbara are doing to protect and inform about this special taonga. Definitely worth the money, and there was no issue booking for just the two of us. Would definitely recommend
Loved the stay and night- guided walk family package; loved the generosity and the knowledgeability of the hosts, Ian and Barbara in sharing their life experiences ,history and the nature call of Puketi Forest.indeed a good break from busy urban lifestyle.
Amazing experience! Ian was our guide and he was so great with our 3 young kids. We saw so many amazing creatures and learnt so much about New Zealand wildlife. Thank you so much guys 😁😁😁
Excellent rainforest walks, the staff were very friendly and extremely knowledgeable, telling us everything about the trees and animals, how they were used in the past, etc. The walk was wonderful, very easy going, with lots of good photo opportunities. Loved the forest, had so much life and beauty.
We visited here with my wife. Called a booking for private tour few hours before night forest walk and they agreed to that short notice which is super nice. The host and guide were very experienced and friendly. 10/10 was worth it and we can wholeheartedly recommend this to anyone.
