10,000 animals from around the world in a major zoo helping to conserve numerous endangered species.
Slide 1 of 8
The best place in Novosibirsk. You can meet different rare animals from all over the world. The area is very big, and cages are good enough. There are a lot info boards that teach how you can help the wild and what exactly zoos do for animals. Strongly recommend!
I was there when I was a kid. I don't remember anything, but it's kind of fun.
One of most beautiful place specially during winter's, and huge zoo with lots of wild life and animals, highly recommended if you are in novosibrisk city.
Zoopark works year around. Most of the animals are in the warm buildings in winter. But its worthy to go and see. Cost 300rubles for adults.
Humongous territory! You can easily spend whole day especially with kids. Better to bring your own food and drinks though
One of the best zoos in the world. Has almost every animal you would ever expect. Language barrier is not a problem. Easy to spend over 3 hours there.
An amazing zoo. One of the biggest and most amazing I've seen in my life. I think everyone should visit it and have a walk there if they have time!
Many animals seemed to have a stereotyped behaviour such as this wolf who was following the same path again and again to go from one side of the cage to the other. This obvious proof of boredom of some wolves, bears and other mammals was awkward. The zoo was quite big with many species though.

Performing arts theater
Concerts & Shows
Iconic theater building founded in 1945 & known for its unique architecture & large dome.
Slide 1 of 8
Beautiful opera and ballet theatre, the surroundings are a pleasure to walk in and many interesting sculpture and art pices to look at Can be very crowded, and traffic is heavy in the area!
Impressive if seemingly grossly oversized for the need for a dedicated opera house in this economically challenged city. Glad of the access to arts, but maybe a more diverse facility would better suit the locals. Who knows? It’s certainly interesting and imposing to look at.
Didn't go inside but apparently you can look at some costumes Nice square and park next to the theatre. There are benches where people can relax. The square have a lot of bikers doing tricks. Nice Lenin statue with soldiers on one side and a couple on the other side.
Since intermissions became half an hour the plays started to end very late. As time goes by more original productions are getting replaced by gaudy and tasteless ones. As it has been done with the interior.
Wonderful theatre and ballet. Thankful for the Summer season!
Worth watching any one show. I watched the ballet "sleeping beauty". You can buy tickets online with seat selection even from your own country before arriving in Russia. I did and I didn't have to stand in queue at the ticket counter. Plus, with advanced booking, I was able to select a decent seat near to the stage (if you buy late, only distant seats or costliest seats may remain for sale - Ballet is all about visuals and seat selection is most important.) The opera hall is gorgeous, though not allowed to take photos. Do wear your best dress underneath your warm clothing (if visiting in winter). Nice arrangements for security and cloak room.
So beautiful place with amazing performances <3 my last impression was "Swan lake"
I was invited to Giselle by russian. A very nice theatre which transported for me somewhat a gone Russian area with classical architecture. Seats and view to stage was very well and a relaxed audience. Very impressive was the arrangement on the stage in conjunction with a great lighting. Finally I have to stress a wonderful performance of the ballett dancers. Even as a less expirienced visitor you could see high level Ballet.

Actually a very amazing place known as the Museum for Railway Technology. This museum showcases a wide array of vintage locomotives, carriages, and railway equipment, offering a comprehensive look at the development of railway technology in Russia. We actually spent a lot of time there exploring the interactive exhibits. We liked the hospital wagons.
Nice museum. But the most of vagons available only with excursion.
I was overwhelmed by this historic museum. I would highly recommend visiting this museum.
Great museum, you need to go

(Translated by Google) 🚂✨ Railway Technology Museum at Seyatel Station. July 15, 2007 A paradise for railway lovers. Founded in 2000 by engineer Nikolai Akulinin, this open-air museum next to Seyatel Station houses more than 90 historical artifacts arranged along 3 km of track. Highlights on my visit included the TEP80-0001, a Soviet diesel locomotive that reached a record speed of 271 km/h, and the POBEDA L-0122, built in 1945 as a symbol of victory in World War II 🏅. Also impressive was the ChME3-5452, nicknamed "The Lizard," which roared for decades in Siberia moving coal under extreme temperatures ❄️🔥. The tour includes Tsarist, Soviet, and modern locomotives, as well as specialized machinery such as the 1960s VK-3 excavator. Ideal for exploring the history of Russian rail transport with a technical and cultural context 🚧📸.
(Translated by Google) A cool museum of technology, there are a lot of different trains and carriages, it’s just a pity that you can only go into 5 of them, you could have opened more, but you can do it with a guided tour. There is also a very interesting exhibition of Soviet military equipment and cars. The museum is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays and it is better to visit it when it is warm and with a guide, then more trains will open and it will be much more interesting. And the price tag of 110 rubles is pleasing. In general, I recommend it for visiting with the whole family; it is very interesting and educational.

We will definitely come back here in the summer and will definitely take a guide. I really liked the museum and advise everyone to visit it. I was very happy the first time when they showed a different movie that gave me goosebumps, but that was last year. And this year, when I went to this planetarium again, I was very disappointed. The only pluses of this planetarium are that it has a beautiful park with a wonderful view of the city and an enticing program before the show. And the rest are all minuses. The first minus is that they show the same movies that you don't even have a choice which one to go to, and I won't even mention their stories. All banal facts. Even a 5-year-old child fell asleep during this movie because it was so boring that he almost fell asleep himself. I would also like to highlight the dining room. The worst thing was. The dishes were dirty, the tables were dirty and most importantly the price was sky-high) In general, for its price, I think it's even bad. I also like the fact that they often organize events for observing astronomical objects. No one could desecrate the square so harshly as the decree of the Novosibirsk mayor's office announced through loudspeakers installed every 50 meters and very loudly broadcasting prohibited, prohibited, prohibited, prohibited.... It feels like you are in a concentration camp. Dear author of the prohibitions You should also surround the tanks, guns, and aircraft with barbed wire Put up armed guards around the exhibits. We were walking with friends today From the city of Kazan We were very ashamed For the new decree of the mayor's office. For 35 years, children were allowed To climb on the exhibits And in 36, most likely, this psychopathic decision matured but not among patriots, but among saboteurs. It was bad to be on the territory of the monument. There was no music playing in the repeaters, but a terrifying voice was heard: forbidden, forbidden, it bears no responsibility..... The park administration has not borne any responsibility for all 36 years without this repeater And will never bear any responsibility I am very ashamed in front of the city guests for the state of the monument For this terrible situation in fact Just after 30 minutes the guests asked to leave this monument because of the impossibility of a calm and pleasant stay on this territory. Disgrace. We propose to lustrate the monument administration. With a ban for 50 years on holding leadership positions in government agencies. We now invite the deputy corps to walk around the monument in the park. Sit for an hour or two under the megaphones that every 15 minutes threateningly broadcast Forbidden...... They made a semblance of a concentration camp, not a monument of Glory. Shameful people...... For years past, roses grew in front of the monument at the entrance, but now there is yellow grass. How creepy.

Go to the open air or take a couple of shots - yes, please come in. There are a lot of fir trees, a lot of plants in principle, and after the rain there is a pleasant smell of pine needles. Water park
Water & Amusement Parks
Indoor water park with slides for adults & children, a large wave pool, saunas & steam bath.
Slide 1 of 8
Simply the best indoor water park in Siberia. It is the one stop shop for activities like speed slides, jacuzzi, spa, swimming pool, slow river, dining area, aromatherapy, saunas and more. Lifebuoys are great for the comfort and convenience of visitors. In the locker room there is a hair dryer, which is good to dry your hair. There are convenient cabins for changing clothes, boxes for storing personal belongings which closes with a chip on the bracelet provided at the entrance. Food and drink options are great with the convenience of purchase, you do not need to carry money for buying stuff, everything is on a bracelet-chip.
Akvamir, located in Novosibirsk, is one of the largest and most impressive indoor water parks in Russia, and truly a place where fun, excitement, and relaxation come together. Whether you’re visiting with family, friends, or even as a couple, this water park guarantees an unforgettable experience filled with energy, laughter, and joy. The first impression of Aquamir is amazing — the building itself is huge, modern, and beautifully designed. As soon as you step inside, you’re welcomed by a bright, tropical atmosphere, with warm air, clear water, and the sound of splashing waves all around. Even in the middle of winter, you feel like you’ve entered a sunny resort. The variety of attractions is what makes Aquamir so special. There are thrilling water slides of all kinds — from high-speed tunnels and spiral rides to smooth, family-friendly slides. For adventure lovers, the big slides like Tsunami and Black Hole offer an incredible adrenaline rush! For those looking for a calmer experience, there are lazy rivers, wave pools, and jacuzzis that allow you to relax and unwind. The children’s area is perfectly designed for safety and fun. With smaller slides, splash zones, and shallow pools, it’s a paradise for kids — and parents can relax knowing lifeguards are always watching carefully. The lifeguard team deserves special appreciation; they are alert, friendly, and make sure everyone enjoys safely. One of the most enjoyable parts of Aquamir is the spa and wellness zone. After all the excitement, you can spend time in the saunas, thermal baths, or salt rooms, which are excellent for relaxation and health. This combination of fun and wellness makes the place enjoyable for all age groups. The facilities and cleanliness are top-notch. The changing rooms, lockers, showers, and rest areas are spotless and well-maintained. Everything feels organized, and even when the park is crowded, the staff manages things efficiently. Speaking of staff — they are professional, polite, and very helpful. From ticket counters to poolside assistance, everyone greets you with a smile and is ready to help. Their positive attitude creates a warm and welcoming environment throughout the park. The cafeteria and food options are also impressive. You can enjoy snacks, drinks, and full meals at reasonable prices. The food quality is good, and there’s enough variety to satisfy both kids and adults. The ticket pricing might seem a little high for some visitors, but considering the size, cleanliness, and quality of attractions, it’s definitely worth the money. There are also family passes and special offers that make it more affordable. If there’s one small area for improvement, it might be the crowd management during weekends and holidays, as Aquamir is extremely popular. But even with many visitors, the park remains enjoyable thanks to its large space and smart layout. Overall, Akvamir Water Park is a perfect destination for those who want to escape daily stress and dive into a world of fun. It’s not just a water park — it’s a complete entertainment and relaxation experience under one roof.
Good place for family activities. There are different tubes with different difficulty levels. Warm and hot saunas and banyas. Really big swimming area through the whole place. But the food is rather expensive. And you actually don't need any slippers or took yours beforehand. We just left ours under the bench and came in 4 hours, the were there in the same position. Those slippers the sell quite large and it's kind of difficult to walk in them cause foot went far enough to touch the floor. We had great time there!
For an aquapark in siberia why not ! But when you enter it's just one medium size aquapark with 6 slides and only 4 for kids. Price are very high, food is not for human... Staff do their best, if you have any complain about services, manager will tell you to pay and be silent.
We didnt figure out what is the less crowded dau and time, we went on weekday in the morning and it was too crowded, long queues for raft boats, long waiting. But kids were happy.
It's a wonderful place to spend your day off, specially in freezing winter's of novosibrisk, it's a closed water park with lots of modern slides, and whole Waterpark is preety warm during freezing cold, we enjoyed our day here and took all slides, all were fantastic, if you are water lover, it's a must go.
Great place, you can chill out for the whole day here - food, drinks also available, as well as SPA and crazy-shmazy-cool tubes for drawn into!
It is a great place to spend time in, massage, sauna, swimming pools, japaneese jakuzi and much for in a huge area. Great to go with children, howecer it is pricy.

Great place to visit! It's became our family tradition every couple months to explore new exhibition:)
Interesting exhibition about native folks of this are and history of Novosibirsk. There are descriptions also you can use an online-guide for free. We didn't tske guided tour but we heared on of them. The guide wasn't good that is why i put 4 stars only. Some staff is very helpful.but some of them are not nice.
State historical museum of Novosibirsk region and local lore, awesome location right at the central square; the building itself was a part of the central marketplace originally.
Great museum but unhelpful staff. We arrived at 4, knowing the museum closed at 6. We bought a ticket and looked around the main exhibition. At 5.30 we tried to go into the downstairs area of the exhibition, but were told we needed a second ticket. we wen to buy this but we’re told that ticket sales stop at 5.30 (it was exactly 5.30) Therefore with 30 minutes till closing we were not allowed to buy a ticket or to enter the exhibition without one. Bizarre.
Nice small Museum with an interesting overview over the history of Novosibirsk and the Transsibirian Railroad. Other than what I saw here before going, a lot of information is also available in English. They also provided wifi (ask at the cashier) with the entry fee of 200 Rubel
It may look small relatively to other museums of this kind but it is well organized and gives pretty good impression of the city's history
Lovely small museum with exhibition of history of local ethnic groups and WWI.

It's amazing because no one made something like this to honor the important role of mice who played in science. 👏 It's located in a courtyard at the institute of cytology and genetics.
Almost any tourist agency has this on the plan. But the mouse is the only interesting thing in this little science town.
MICE AND RATS ARE THE most common animals used in laboratory experiments.Tens, if not hundreds of millions of them lose their lives every year in the U.S. alone, in the name of science. This monument in central Russia commemorates these brave rodents, who have made the ultimate sacrifice for the advancement of mankind. The Monument to the Laboratory Mouse can be found in a courtyard at the Institute of Cytology and Genetics in Akademgorodok, Russia, a research facility associated with Novosibirsk State University that seeks to better understand the nature of DNA. The mighty mouse is of the anthropomorphic variety, with glasses, dressed in a lab coat, and studiously knitting a DNA double helix. The wise-looking rodent symbolizes the gradual progress of DNA research through the years, to a large extent thanks to the sacrifice of countless numbers of his own species. There are a number of characteristics that have made the mouse the most commonly used mammal for testing and research, one of which is that they are in the same super-order of mammals as humans. This provides for similar genetics despite the very visible differences—although those differences are a lot less visible with our little friend here. The monument is outside the entrance to the Institute of Cytology and Genetics at Novosibirsk State University
Lovely idea. But it makes me truly sad. R.I.P. to our little lifesavers.
Worth finding when you think of all the mice that gave their lives for mankind.
Intetesting monument devoted to the sacrifice of model organisms in biological research
Great statue of a mouse😃
