The last time we went in we ate and the food was great and had the two for £20 and paid extra for another meal. Me and my mom were going to have lasagna but they said it wasn’t homemade so didn’t bother in case it wasn’t that nice. I ended up having the scampi which was lovely and some of the best I’d had; my mom had fish and chips and my dad had the burger. All of which were great and lovely chips! Reasonable selection of beer on tap. Could do with some real ales though!

It was a sunny afternoon and we went out to find a table. There must have been about 80 people out there and we were lucky to grab the only vacant table and we spent a lovely couple of hours here. It is a very pleasant place to sit and have a drink with a top quality list of drinks to select from - both local and rich pickings from further afield. Prices were good, service was fine, if a little slow, but it was very busy, so no complaints. Everyone was friendly. We had the dog with us and he was made to feel welcome. The staff seemed genuinely dog friendly. The only criticism I could offer was that on the way out I heard the lady behind the counter addressing a young male member of staff in an inappropriate manner. I have actually owned and run a similar establishment a few years ago, so I appreciate that it can be stressful at times. I will certainly return as the atmosphere was wonderful out the back and the selection of products in the shop was as good as you will see. The fact that the place was packed out speaks volumes.

You have to walk through the shop and stock room to get to the garden, there were three of us in the party and the member of staff was walking the other way.
