Conwy Castle is a remarkably well-preserved 13th-century fortress located in an estuary setting. Built by King Edward between 1283 and 1287, it boasts scenic battlement views and royal apartments that are the most intact in Wales. The castle features a high curtain wall, eight magnificent towers, and spiral staircases within the towers that visitors can climb.
We visited Conwy Castle on a Sunday in autumn, and it was such a wonderful experience! I’m not sure how it looks in other seasons, but in late October and early November, the view from the top of the castle is absolutely breathtaking. The trees around the town are painted in so many beautiful autumn colours — it’s truly a spectacular sight from above! The castle itself is very well preserved and tidy. We climbed up one of the towers with our 10-year-old son — and it was a big moment for him because he’s afraid of heights. It actually turned into a great way for him to face his fear! If you visit with kids, I’d recommend being extra careful when going up the stone stairs and pathways — they’re uneven and can be a bit tricky. But it’s definitely worth it. We had such a lovely and memorable weekend. The ticket line was short, everything was smooth, and we left impressed and happy. The highlight for me was definitely the view from the top — absolutely stunning, especially with the autumn colours. A place worth visiting for sure!

Conwy Castle is amazing! The place is huge and the views from the towers are just stunning—you can see the whole town, the sea, and the hills all around. Walking along the walls feels like a little adventure, and it’s super fun to explore all the towers and stairways. Everything is really well looked after, and there are signs around that explain the history in a simple way. The town itself is also lovely—perfect for a wander and a bite to eat after the castle. The only downside that there is no free guidance booklet with history clues. Definitely one of nice spots I’ve visited in North Wales!
Ibrahim W — Google review
What a castle! Recommend getting a tour from the conwy visitor center in order to get some more history / information as I did. This castle was built for defense and you can tell. Ontop of bedrock, many different gates to enter, thick walls, cliffside and with water surrounding made it almost * impenetrable! Paid parking available nearby.

We visited Conwy Castle on a beautifully warm sunny September day whilst staying on holiday in one of the cottages right next to it! It got so warm I had to go back and get changed in to a dress from jeans before going in! We had been before years ago; it’s still one of the most beautiful castles you’ve ever seen! Definitely one of the best preserved after all these years too! 💛 The castle itself was stunning and so fun to look around! 🏰 You can go up in the towers and walk around the top! We don’t go all the way to the top in some as it was so high and we were a bit scared! The cottage we stayed in had some of the castle wall behind it but not the part you could walk along so that was a nice view too! There is even the stocks still there and a big chair to take photos in! The views of the sea are absolutely breathtaking! 🌊💙🩵 You can look over the suspension bridge and the town too! 🌁 It’s definitely worth a trip to if you’re in Conwy! You won’t be disappointed! 😆 The gift shop has a great selection too and price to get in isn’t too bad as there’s so much to look around at! It was very busy even on a September weekday!
Stephanie F — Google review
An absolute must-visit! Conwy Castle is breathtaking from the moment you see it. The views from the towers are stunning – you get a full panoramic of the town, the estuary, and even the mountains in the distance. It’s like stepping back in time. The architecture is incredibly well-preserved, and there’s plenty of space to explore without feeling rushed. The walk along the castle walls is a real highlight. It’s perfect for history lovers, families, or anyone who enjoys a bit of adventure with their sightseeing. The staff are friendly and helpful, and there’s lots of information available about the castle’s history. Well worth the entrance fee. Just make sure to wear comfy shoes – there are a lot of steps! Would definitely recommend it if you’re visiting North Wales. Plenty car parks (pay and display) near by
Olaya B — Google review
A very interesting castle or ruin, like all of Edward I's. Even more impressive with the Conwy Suspension Bridge. The castle is definitely worth a visit. However, the parking situation is terrible, especially if you want to see the town. There is a free car park a little way outside, about a 5-minute walk away, during the week. That's great because you can then see the town without being under time pressure.
Siouxsie S — Google review
An amazing and imposing castle with the walls surrounding the town. It’s free to go up and walk around sections of the wall (if you have a head for heights) and enjoy the views. Lovely visitor centre with great shop and free to use toilets (unlike the tourist information centre across the road!). Didn’t have time to go into castle but certainly will try to get back for a visit sometime.

Fascinating castle and history, cafe and shop. Easy parking next to the castle. Some high towers with narrow stairway. Great views across the harbour and sea. Interesting place to visit. We enjoyed our visit.

Nestled in the town of Conwy, The Smallest House In Great Britain is a charming and quirky attraction that shouldn't be missed. This minuscule former fisherman's residence, known as Quay House, measures just 1.8 meters wide and 3 meters high. With only two rooms, this bright red one-up-one-down dwelling was inhabited until May 1900 by the last owner, Robert Jones.
Lovely, worth the long queue and £1.50. Doesn't take long to look round as it is small, and I had to take my rucksack off to look up the ladder. The lady on the door has a little stall and happily tells you about it and poses\takes your photo whilst waiting to go in 😍
Ilona R — Google review
We came across this little gem completely by chance, and it turned out to be a delightful surprise. It's just 6 feet wide and 10 feet tall! It was once home to a remarkably tall fisherman - 6'3". The visit itself is short and sweet, just a few minutes per person, but it leaves a lasting impression. While you can’t go upstairs, you can peek into the upper level. The staff are warm and welcoming, and the entry fee is refreshingly low, making it a quirky and budget-friendly stop for families, history lovers, or anyone curious about Britain’s tiniest home.
Aleks B — Google review
It’s a good visit if you are around the town, takes 2-3 mins. Ticket charges £1.5 per adult. You can buy directly from the front door from the lady. The history and habitant is pre recorded and playing when you enter the house.
Maddy S — Google review
Tucked along Conwy’s harbour wall, the Smallest House in Great Britain is a quirky and charming stop that captures everyone’s curiosity. Measuring just 1.8 metres wide and 3.05 metres high, it was once home to a local fisherman named Robert Jones, who lived there until 1900. Despite its tiny size, the house is surprisingly cosy, with a living area downstairs and a small sleeping loft above. It’s a quick visit but full of character—friendly guides share its fascinating history, and it’s perfect for photos beside Conwy’s medieval walls. Entrance cost £1.50 and its worth to look inside this tiny house.
Przemyslaw K — Google review
A lovely experience, a lot of history about this little house. From the little old couple of lived here to the 6 foot 5 fisherman how he veer lived there I'll never know, so much stuff in such a little house. Recommend going, there will be a queue outside the house to see, both card and cash payments are taken. And trinkets can be bought afterwards on the little trolley. Also the staff are in traditional Welsh lady dress, what better way to be proud and welsh, Cymru am byth 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿
Tom J — Google review
I’ve seen this house from a distance before and loved the chance to step inside and see this little museum properly. Well worth the £1.50 entry fee to go in, look around and see this little gem.
James B — Google review
I recently had the chance to visit the Smallest House in Britain, and honestly, it was such a cute and unique experience! ❤️ The house is tiny—so tiny that you can hardly imagine someone living inside it. Yet, it has a special charm that immediately catches your heart. Standing in front of it feels like stepping into a fairytale. What makes the place even more beautiful is its location. Right in front, there are plenty of boats floating on the water, each one different from the other. The combination of the sea breeze, the boats, and this little red house makes the view absolutely unforgettable. 🌊🚤 It’s not just a house—it’s a part of Britain’s history and culture, and definitely a must-visit spot for anyone traveling here. 👉 Overall: • Uniqueness: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ • Beauty: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ • Experience: Truly recommended ❤️
Shaik K — Google review
Absolutley amazing place to visit, the lady outside selling tickets was lovely, she offered to take a group photo of us infront of the house and spoke to the kids about the history of the house and the man who lived there. Once inside, the house has alot of information dotted around and there is a tape recording explaining the history of the house and the tennant who lived in it. Brilliant place to visit for all ages.

Pub
The Albion Ale House in Conwy is a popular pub known for being dog-friendly, offering a special menu for canine companions. It's also close to the RSPB Conwy nature reserve, making it an ideal spot for bird lovers. The pub is a haven for beer enthusiasts and CAMRA members, with a focus on quality brews and a cozy atmosphere.
A great place to stop for cask ales after a walk around Conwy Castle. Lots of Welsh Beer and some small batch brews around here UK. A nice mix and match. Drinks and a few nibbles.
Patrick M — Google review
The Albion is one of the best spots for real ale in Conwy. The staff are knowledgeable and always happy to help, and the people in there were really nice – it’s got a proper friendly, welcoming feel. It’s a lovely old bar full of character, with reasonable prices. Pint was served to perfection, which is always important. We always enjoy popping in – a real gem in the heart of Conwy.

Marvelous pub in Conwy owned by a couple of local breweries. Great selection of ale and well kept as you can imagine. It's a lovely old building and interior too. This should be commended as far too many pubs these days are modernised at the expense of losing that special vibe of an old pub. It's got 3 rooms all with its own ambience. Lovely outside spot too. Friendly on both sides of the bar. Highly recommended for a pint if you're in Conwy 🍻

Great little craft beer / ale house , staff are always friendly and helpful. You can sample the beers on offer before making your choice . Great value for money drinks , including locally resourced spirits. Dog friendly which is always a plus + Always cosy in the winter with a well kept open fire , and quiet out of season to enjoy the peace and quiet. Worth visiting at anytime you are ever in Conwy.

A quality drinking house, with a great choice of beers and a thoroughly convinial atmosphere. I'd walked the coastal path to Conwy and had time for a couple before a return train journey from my start point. For once google got it right on the pub front.

What a fantastic pub. Beautiful old decor, wonderful bar staff and delicious ale. I can't wait to visit again. This has to be one of the best pubs I've ever drank in, and there's been a few 🍻

Conwy Marina is a bustling and picturesque spot with a lovely view of the Conwy Castle. It offers a pleasant walk alongside the marina, where you can admire numerous moored boats and even visit the smallest house in Great Britain. The area is dog-friendly, making it perfect for leisurely strolls along the beach or through Marl Hall Woods. Visitors can also enjoy various amenities such as pubs, restaurants, general stores, chandleries, and boatyards.
A gorgeous setting, with a pretty marina with the imposing Conwy Castle in the background. A lovely, relaxing walk alongside the marina. Trivia fans will love the following fun fact: that the marina is home to the smallest house in Great Britain.

The place is beautiful, location is beautiful, views are beautiful. When first thing as it opened. First people to arrive. We went for breakfast, first and last time I would go for it. (I have been for lunch, dinner etc prior) breakfast is bland, tasteless, the food items does compliment one another. I asked for no bacon, I do not eat pork. I got it with my breakfast. The plates are what we left. The staff were more interested in chatting to each other, one was doing her hair. Have been many times and the staff aren't normally like this, new staff maybe? Either way, better breakfast else where.

Outdoor Activities
Conwy Morfa Beach, located on the North Wales coast, offers a variety of activities for visitors. The sandy beach is perfect for swimming, fishing, and rockpooling. Adventurous types can sail, kayak, or paddleboard in the estuary while enjoying dramatic views of peaks and coast on the Conwy Mountain circuit. For those looking to relax, the vast sandy bay is great for building sandcastles and paddling with scenic views.
An amazing, massive beach. Dog friendly and usually an ice cream van there. I recommend Crocs or other footwear as the sand is very ridged and hard to walk on when the tide is out and also a windbreak as it can get extremely windy when the tide changes. Lovely views of Llandudno and the Great Orme. Surrounded by mountains. The main downside is no toilet facilities.
Beth E — Google review
Amazing beach! There is a free parking nearby. It's dog friendly. You would find plenty of people and kids running around. There is a cafe (Franco's Pizza) just next to it. So, you can have something when you are hungry/thirsty or dying for an ice-cream. Also, you can change your clothes in the toilet there - if you want to have a swim in the sea. The water is cold - but clean. The large sandy beach is amazing for spending your time. Take mats and books and sun creams. It felt so peaceful to lie down and read and close my eyes.
M U — Google review
Conwy Morfa Beach is an excellent destination for anyone looking to enjoy a peaceful day by the sea. The wide sandy shores are perfect for long walks, building sandcastles, or simply relaxing while listening to the gentle waves. The views of the surrounding coastline are stunning, especially on a clear day when the mountains and historic Conwy Castle are visible in the distance. The beach is clean and well-maintained, and there are ample spots for picnics or a quiet moment to watch the sunset. Families, couples, and solo visitors alike will find it a refreshing escape from the bustle of everyday life.
Patrik K — Google review
It’s a good beach, and you don’t have to walk too far to reach it. We went there twice within a month. The first time was a great experience, the water wasn’t too far, and we even enjoyed the sunset. However, the second visit was quite disappointing. The water had receded significantly, making it look dirty, with lots of sea plants and dead jellyfish scattered along the shore. So I guess it's better to check the tides before going there.
Toobaa K — Google review
Great beach. Sandy, backed by sand dunes. Can be busy in peak days. Dog friendly. Great for children. Small carpark with beach cafe offering great snacks
Paul C — Google review
It's an incredibly small carpark, that fills up extremely early (930am!) People then park in the middle of the carpark and on the road (even on the bend!) Meaning you can't see what is coming. I had to reverse several times back into the carpark because of oncoming traffic. The beach itself has sand dunes, and sandy beach. It is dog friendly, which I don't mind, and most chose to keep theirs on a lead. However, one allowed their dog to poo right behind our towel and umbrella and did not clean it up, disgusting, but even more so next to a 4 month old baby and small children. There is a café on the carpark and an ice-cream van did come to the carpark. I did not see any toilets.
Teresa P — Google review
Great sandy beach, limited carparking so on sunny days get there early. A couple of small rock pools at low tide. Excellent ice cream shack that also does bacon rolls & coffee etc.

Great Orme is a stunning limestone headland in Llandudno, offering picturesque vistas of the sea and Wales, including the Isle of Man and Snowdonia National Park. It's a 350-million-year-old country park with miles of paths to explore, an ancient mine, and wild nature with Kashmir goats. Visitors can reach the top via cable car or tramway and enjoy the Old Mines. The area also features a ski and snowboard center for winter sports enthusiasts.
This is a great place to go and spend 2 - 3 hours just roaming around and admiring the natural beauty of the place. We were in Wales on a driving trip and drove up to the summit in our own car. It's an easy drive up and back and there is plenty of parking space available at the summit. You can walk around the place and get a great 270 degree view of the bay. Also, you can see a very large windmills farm in the sea!

Stunning location with amazing views in all directions. Well worth the bike to the top (3/4 to the top really) but, if you get the choice, take the tram. Much easier on the legs and lungs. Would highly recommend this as part of your essential North Wales experience.
JoeD21 — Google review
I went here three times in 2 days 😄 I went up walking early in the morning, drove with a car, and via Orme tramway. They offered different experience and has its own charm but I enjoyed them all! The day I went there at afternoon was extremely windy so better prepared with a windbreaker. Overall, the scenery from the top of Orme was wonderful. From the top you can explore different spots or even only sitting enjoying the day.
Nisa K — Google review
The mine tours are quite pricy but well worth it as it's self guided so you can make your way around at your own pace. There's a tram up to the mine from the town so it's wise to park in the town and take the tram up the hill if you don't mind paying. There are great views at the top of the hill and nice areas to eat or walk at the top. I've been twice and would go again if I was in the area.

LAVA Hot Stone Kitchen in Conwy is a highly regarded restaurant, holding the top spot on TripAdvisor among all the dining options in town. This British steakhouse stands out for its unique hot stone cooking method, allowing patrons to personally cook their steak and fish at their table to their preferred doneness. LAVA offers a wide range of options for the hot stone, including beef fillet, rib eye, rump of lamb, tuna and salmon fillet.
Is was nice experience!!! They seem full booking today, but they still let us in as there are a empty table. It's always a plus when the staff is friendly and helpful, and they made us feel right at home. The fact that they took the time to explain how to cook the beef on the rock shows that they care about the customers and want to ensure they have the best possible dining experience. Thank you for for their wonderful service tonight and I hope we have the opportunity to visit the restaurant again in the future! ❤️ highly recommend👍👍 12th April 2025 - Back for a second time — still amazing! This was actually my second visit — I enjoyed it so much the first time that I had to come back! Once again, the food was outstanding, especially the beef. We tried the sharing platter this time, which was a fantastic way to sample a bit of everything. The atmosphere was just as warm and welcoming as before, and the staff continued to impress with their friendliness and professionalism. It’s not easy to find a place that delivers consistent quality, but this restaurant absolutely does. Still highly recommended — and I’ll definitely be back again!

Lava has just been taken over by lqbal who owns the Spice Safari a couple of shops away. Bring his renowned experience of high quality food to Conwy. Lava is now serving coffee and breakfast and Lunch time meals. I went this morning for breakfast and had a truly delicious mushroom and cheese omelette, complete with a salad. A nice ice coffee all for £8.95. service was very friendly and quick. I did notice another customer had ordered pancakes with banana and blueberries, that looked really delicious. I highly recommend Lava for their quality of food and service.

We decided to come here and try what's it has to offer. The idea of frying your own steak is great and the presentation was good also. However, the bbq sauce was a miss for me, pepper corn sauce (or any other steak sauce) should come with a meal and the menu was appealing. The menu was a printed piece of well used A4 copy paper. Vegetables weren't hot enough and I have never seen a jacket potato served with a steak (although the jacket potato was delicious). We could bring our own wine , which was great. Good stuff if you want to save some £££ on alcohol. The restaurant has a great potential and it's a shame that I have to give it only a 4 star rating.

If you are tired of ready to eat meal, try this place. Meat quality is excellent, the starter are very good also. But this is a table top grilling restaurant, so if you don't want to stink your clothes this is not a place for you. Also, no alcoholic beverages, but you can bring your own.

Went for breakfast this week on the opening with new owners.. I had pancakes which were divine and the service and ambience was great. They are still open evenings for steak on hot stone with BYO..Woyld definitely recommend it.
Karen — Google review
It’s a nice restaurant but it lacks of something. The steak was just ok, it is served on a stone plate that wasn’t hot enough, it was served with bbq, oil with garlic and mustard. The jacket potato was ok, but the veg served with it was blant and overcooked. They don’t serve alcohol so if you’d like a wine you have to bring one with you, which is not a bad thing as normally there is a massive mark up on wine. The peppercorn sauce was extra which should not be especially when 10oz fillet steak cost you £37.95. These are good steak house prices and this does not meet a good steak standard, at least not as yet. The food presentation was ok. The menu card is appalling. A printed piece of paper, which should have been thrown away long time ago. Overall this place has a good potential therefore 4 stars from me.
Witold — Google review
Really enjoyed the food here, the cuts of meat were good quality, the staff were attentive, and it was a nice change from the norm. Staff were happy to change the stone for a fresh one when needed to ensure I could get through multiple cuts of steak with no hassle.

The food is prepared quickly and can be enjoyed conveniently on-the-go or at the nearby beach. Renowned as the finest takeaway in Wales, this eatery boasts an outstanding staff who are both friendly and skilled. The cuisine itself is exceptional with no shortcomings whatsoever.
The food is absolutely amazing. I also tried their chicken strips and it is the best chicken strips Ive ever had. The people there are just so amazing and they serve the food really fast. I wish they could have another branch somewhere in wales. Will definitely visit again when we comeback here again.

Great kebabs, fries and burgers. Their doner meat is the best I've ever tried, and the pricing is very good for the quality of food you get. Service is usually pretty fast—I got a full pizza in about ~8 minutes. My favourite kebab place hands down

Came today ordered a mixed kebab for £13. Thought it was a bit pricey for what it was. Was on a pitta a fresh naan would have taken it up a notch. The chicken was the best of the meats and would recommend it. Staff seemed friendly enough. Free parking bays near the outside of the shop 👍

A family run business, all members of staff are extremely professional and very friendly. It almost feels like you are visiting friends rather than shopping for food The food itself is amazing I've been living here a few year now , so have tried most takeaways in the local and surrounding area Nothing comes close As I write this I'm getting hungry Only one place to go, the choice is stunning (see menu) Our choice tonight is doner meat pizza Can't say enough about the fantastic taste to all I've tried A great experience All round from people who's number one priority is always the customer Stevie and kate ❤

Pizza restaurant
Johnny Dough's at The Bridge is a cozy spot that serves up traditional and creative wood-fired pizzas alongside a selection of drinks. The place has a welcoming atmosphere, making it perfect for those looking for a laid-back dining experience. Customers have praised the quality and variety of the menu, with options ranging from Mediterranean to Goat's Cheese pizza, including the choice to add extra spice for those who enjoy a kick in their meal.
Reviewing the restaurant: we sat in a particularly nice part of the restaurant, at the bottom end. There were 5 of us, my wife and I, our daughter, my brother and his son. The kids loved that they could pretend to make pizzas with the pizza play sets, they then really enjoyed having the chance to make their own pizzas from the kids menu. The food was delicious, and we had a great time. The only slight criticism - the toilets could be cleaner.

Great Pizza, lovely service, reasonable prices with a few interesting options on the menu! I wanted to try the prawn and chorizo, but my other half had a sore throat (next time!). The dough was good, with a thin crispy base and decent amount of topping. I had a quick stopover in Conwy and this was an awesome spot to stumble on. Would visit again!

Overall a good stay in a cosy room in a fantastic Conwy location. Included breakfast was a lovely bonus and I appreciated this being dropped outside the door at 8:30am. In addition, the location of the property was fantastic and within walking distance of all major attractions in Conwy and the main high street so dining options were plentiful. Rooms had all the amenities needed - including a coffee machine. Rooms could do with a little love as they were dated in many places. Check-in process was a little unclear, however this wasn’t a major issue.

Our favourite pizza ever! We have to visit whenever in Wales! Sometimes it gets a bit too busy, but it’s understandable, everyone wants a piece! 😛🍕 perfect spot for dinner after hiking all day near Snowdon or cycling in the bay or anything…

I'm actually reviewing the pizza place, not the hotel. This place has wonderful wood-fire(d?) pizzas with non-traditional toppings. At this point I've tried quite a few of them, but the chicken tikka masala pizza is my favourite. They have pretty good cocktails too.

The best pizza in north wales hands down. Great flavours, friendly service and good value. We visit every time we’re in north wales and always enjoy it. 10/10

My husband and I were happy that they had a table free on a busy Saturday evening. Originally we were going to have a pizza each but as they were running low on ingredients on our preferred choices, we ended up sharing the beetroot pesto pizza with a side of garlic bread, and to be honest this was enough. The topping combination was interesting and tasty, especially when washed down with a garden bellini. Very enjoyable meal.

Nice freshly baked pizza the way it should be. Service nice and friendly, easy parking 30 seconds away, that said it was a Sunday evening. I’m guessing a Saturday lunch time would be a little different

Chinese restaurant
Nikki Ips Restaurant Wine Bar & Cafe is a relaxed restaurant located in Degawy, Llandudno, offering authentic Chinese dishes and a wine bar with stunning views over the river estuary. The establishment has gained acclaim for its fine Chinese cuisine, with the owner hailing from a family of traditional Chinese chef patrons in Hong Kong. The restaurant's quaint location among Victorian shops adds to its charm.
Absolutely loved the food and I almost regret not having visited this place earlier. Great portions and the taste was just too good. Must have if in the area . I think this is going to be my new favourite.

Food was beautiful great restaurant, happy to be seated in a chair not a high table which there are allot of, I’ve rated service as a 3⭐️ due to 10% service charge added to your bill without being informed, I would have like to have the option and tipped in cash to the waiters as they was extremely assertive and welcoming.

Nikki Ip's Restaurant Cafe & Wine Bar One of the best Japanese restaurants I’ve ever been to. Mind me, It’s not fancy, but the food is so delicious. The place is not overwhelming, but it’s a must visit. I ordered the sweet and sour pork and it was so delicious. Pork is so tasty and tender. The veggies and pineapple pieces were perfect. I loved it. My wife’s loved her meal as well. I just can’t say enough about this restaurant. The restaurant is an authentic Chinese restaurant . Our experience and visit in Deganwy, North Wales was made more enjoyable because of dining at Nikki’s. I highly recommend.

The wife and I had a reasonable Anniversary meal here. We arrived at 6pm on a Thursday with no reservation. They were able to accommodate plus which was great. Service was fantastic, the staff are very attentive, saying that the place was empty when we arrived. Ribs for starters were amazing. Mains: beef curry and Thai sweet chilli chicken. Flavours were great in the chicken dish, curry was a little bland but ok. We enjoyed ourselves but we wouldn't return due to the prices and the mains being underwhelming. Ribs starters £11, mains £20 (ish).

Visiting Deganwy again and popped in for lunch deal. Seafood pancake starter was packed with Prawns and bursting with flavour. Had fish main which was like a stir-fry with lots of veg inside. Absolutely fantastic. Can't praise this place enough and can't wait to come back! Was looked after by Dillon this time, lovely person, great service, thank you. Just been in as fancied something light for lunch. The aromas definitely entice you in from far!! Explained to the gentleman (sorry I did not take your name) I was torn between 2 dishes (sides) and asked about the portion sizes. I'm so pleased I just had 1 side! Went for the Singapore Noodles with Prawns, Pork and Mixed Veg. Couldn't eat them quick enough when I got back but the whole portion was equivalent to a main so had to tear myself away from eating it all! Very well done and thank you. I will definitely be back 😀 So good I went back to get the same for dinner!

Day 2

Off the beaten path
For day 2, if you don’t mind the extra trek, today covers more off the beaten path places like Y Gogarth Great Orme Country Park. Not quite as popular as Plas Mawr, but still highly rated among many travelers. Accounting for getting around and average time spent, today’s activities could take about 8 hours.

Visitor Centers
Y Gogarth Great Orme Country Park is a serene coastal park with vast open fields, diverse wildlife, and stunning panoramic views. The Marine Drive offers a picturesque four-mile route around the base of the Great Orme headland, providing travelers with captivating scenery and ample parking opportunities. This massive limestone rock formation is not only an impressive natural landmark but also a protected area for rare habitats and species. Families can enjoy various kid-friendly activities while exploring the designated conservation areas.
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Y Gogarth – the Great Orme Country Park – is absolutely worth the visit. The views are breathtaking in every direction, whether you're looking out to sea, spotting a ship in the distance, or just admiring the rugged landscape dotted with sheep. There’s a nice mix of things to do: the cable cars and the historic tram add a unique charm, and there’s even a bit of fun with crazy golf. If you're driving, be aware that the roads are steep – great if your car can handle hills, but it’s not the place to test a tired clutch. There’s parking available at the top, which is really convenient if you want to explore without too much of a hike. Overall, it’s a brilliant spot for scenery, wildlife, and a bit of classic Welsh adventure.

"Wales, you have my heart! We had an incredible time exploring your beautiful landscapes and meeting the warm locals. The charm of your local shops and cafes was like stepping back in time. I loved seeing everyone gathered in pubs, enjoying each other's company over a cuppa or pint. The laid-back atmosphere was infectious, and even Starbucks seemed quiet compared to the buzz in the pubs. Wales, I'll be back!"

Good walk up to summit pass by lots of sheep ! But, also see the dry ski slope, also the mine and lots of views along the way. Cafe at top selling hot & cold food and small gift shop. Toilets. Transport includes tram and cable car as well as public buses. Also car park, if prefer to drive.
Diane T — Google review
As always, another visit to the Orme, another fantastic day. Accessible by foot, car, cable car, bus system and road tram, there are multiple options to get to the summit. This time we chose cable car (£15 per adult, £12.50 per child and £2 if you fancy taking the dog! - 2 adults and 2 children family return ticket is £43). The views are breathtaking and we'll worth the ride to see the Orme from a completely different perspective. Visitors centre at the summit is very informative, then there's the surroundings... The quarry, the bronze mines, St. Tudno's church, the open fields and walkways, the wildlife. Absolutely fantastic example of what Wales has to offer. Great family day out, and with the whole of Llandudno underneath you, what more could you want?

Went to the bronze age copper mine. A great visit with a fantastic welcome. Lots of information via film and boards. Had a chat to the local archaeologist on site. £10 a person with a discount for using the tram.(Must show ticket as proof). A bit tight to walk through the caves , well lit. Not suitable for wheelchairs or people who need sticks to walk. Quite damp floors in places due to water seepage through the ground. Some deep spots your walking over.
Rick S — Google review
I had a lovely walk to the summit, going via the Happy Valley Park. Wonderful views from the top. I returned by the back of the old quarry. Went slightly off track but it found me the goats. Then back on the correct path brought me to the lovely Haulfre Gardens. A. really lovely walk.

Amazing views and a must see place in north wales. Toddler Tip: Don’t get too adventurous if you have push chairs, we had 2 so decided to hike down the fields till a distance from where we can hike up the push chairs. Try to encourage toddlers to walk (if they have started walking already), our younger one loved running down the fields and went very close to the sheeps. Bonus: place has one of most amazing mini golf with 18 holes.

Great Orme Mines, discovered in 1987, are the world's largest prehistoric copper mines dating back to the Bronze Age, around 4,000 years ago. The site offers a unique insight into ancient Britain and its advanced society long before Roman invasion. With over 5 miles of tunnels to explore using only primitive tools like stones and bones, visitors can gain a deeper understanding of this historical era. The mine features a visitor center and self-guided tunnel tours for an immersive experience.
Great place to visit near halfway station on great omre tramway. Excellent informative friendly staff. Go around visitor centre pick read history about mine and pick up your hard hat. Then venture into bronze age mine entrance go down 35 steps. Throughout tour a number of boards with information about the mine and working conditions. Really unique tour well worth visiting. Able to walk around outdoor area of mine. Gift shop has lots of unique rocks etc.

A fantastic experience. The mines are awesome, so much history! Prehistory really! Bronze age people living in Britain centuries before the Romans. And the whole thing is being run by lovely people. Highly recommended.
Grandad119 — Google review
We visited with our 7 year old son and we all enjoyed it. The staff are fantastic, knowledgeable, and super enthusiastic. The mines have been made accessible for walking but be ready to crouch at a handful of points! Such an important discovery that made my jaw drop open upon reaching the largest part of the mine. Truly incredible to walk in the footsteps of humans from 4,000 years ago! My son was given a fun questionnaire to complete along the walk. At the end he recieved a little gift for completing it. I really loved this and so did he! There are videos on repeat at certain points and they are very clear and easy to understand. You can see how much care has been put into this. The gift shop and 2nd hand book shop is also excellent. There is a mixture of cheaper and more expensive gifts. The drive up and down is rather steep and narrow at points but no problem if you're used to driving on hills. We arrived early and the car park was easy to use. There is also a tram and cable car going up the hill / mountain so they are great options too.
Lee P — Google review
This place is a great attraction, the whole experience was very enjoyable. We visited on a Sunday mid September and it wasn’t overly busy. The staff were really nice, friendly and talkative. The layout from the car park, shop/entrance to the mines is well laid out. When you go into the attraction you get a hard hat and can take your time going through the experience, roughly 40 minutes to an hour but there is no rush. There is lots of history and information about the history of the mines and people that worked there and it that was fascinating to read, there is a short video presentation you can choose to watch which gave more insight into the history. You get to walk round the open quarry site and venture into the mines. It’s a self guided tour/walk and as others have stated and I’ll confirm it is narrow with low ceilings in places, this adds to the experience in a good way (unless you’re claustrophobic). There is lighting in the mine which highlights the natural features, but I would advise a good torch to see into the dark areas not lit, not necessary but again this added to our experience in a good way.
Robbie — Google review
Thought I mightn't be allowed in as t, shorts, sandals but self guided tour so nice to go at your own pace. Quite busy but space to pass families (great kids shouting echo!) a concrete floors, metal steps and railings whilst looking around. Activity sheet for kids, drinks van, shop, lovely interesting few hours. All CCTV, lights also panic buttons, is narrow but I wore my rucksack no issues, mums with babies in there too. Have fun! I bought tickets as walking past
Ilona R — Google review
Very interesting and unique bronze age mine. Not as narrow as it appears, more than wide enough for bigger people. Not suitable for wheelchair or mobility challenged. Good gift shop. Friendly and welcoming staff. A must see.

Really good fun for me and my youngest son! Was bricking it a bit going into the tunnel but it was way worth it glad I persevered and kept going! Not that I could have turned back! Great for the kids and adults! Good fun! 👍 Will say it didn't take long to go around! But the weather was shocking. Didn't book in advance but I don't see why I wouldn't in future despite the shocking weather it was busy!

Step back in time and immerse yourself in the civilian life during World War II at the Home Front Museum in Llandudno. This living history museum offers a unique experience, showcasing recreated shops and homes from the 1940s. The museum, housed in a former garage used by the fire service during the war, is small but rich with history.
One of the very best WWII museums I’ve ever visited. While most focus on the fighting soldiers, theaters, and battle information, this lovingly curated experience highlights the average folks back home. There is a refreshing dedication to the women and their involvement as well as the other people that did what they could from home. Absolutely worth traveling to the area specifically to visit this museum with plenty of personal stories from locals. The owner, Andrian, is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about his museum. I could’ve easily spent a half day just examining everything.

What a cracking little museum, while small it's packed to the brim with informative signage and well dressed up exhibits. Is a few mins walk away from the town center and at £4:40 (at the time of posting) it's well worth the visit, I'll happily come back next time I'm round. The owner seems nice and friendly and very informative about the soldiers that lived in Llandudno and life of civilians during the wartime era.

This museum is an absolute hidden gem. Tucked away on a side street in Llandudno, the place really packs a punch when you go in! It is crammed with fascinating artefacts and all presented in an exceptional way. The place is great value for money and I highly recommend it. Very family friendly with displays that appeal to all ages.
Morgan H — Google review
We had a spare afternoon and looked for somewhere to visit close by our hotel. It's a bit tucked away, but the outside looked interesting. It's so reasonably priced that we didn't expect much. Once inside, we were blown away by the number of items. There was so much to look at with displays set up as shop windows, rooms, and even an air raid shelter. If you stop and look at each exhibit closely, you keep noticing more things! My mum, who is a certain age to just remember the war, was fascinated by items she remembered from her childhood and re-lived the time she was evacuated. We spent a while inside and even went back to look at some areas again. Thank you for a lovely experience and well displayed Museum.

Brilliant little museum down a back street in Llandudno. Very cheap entrance fee (£4.40 per adult) but I spent a good 45 minutes looking at everything in there. Lots of information on WW2 and how it affected the normal people at home. I would highly recommend a visit if you are in the area.

Victoria Shopping Centre is a charming arcade located in the heart of Llandudno, offering a mix of well-known and independent retailers, as well as dining options. The center features a multi-story car park, making it convenient for visitors to access. The Grape Tree stands out as a popular retailer within the bustling complex, offering an array of dried fruits, nuts, and seeds. Additionally, amenities such as clean restrooms and easy parking add to the overall pleasant experience for shoppers.
A great little shopping centre in the middle of Llandudno. This place has a fantastic old style sweetshop plus a Boots, perfume store and a shop that sells garden figures to name but a few. It’s great to head out of the wet weather and enjoy a coffee in one of the cafes. Go check it out. Note on this occasion there was a knitting display (large tank and army figures) for D day. Amazing.

Had a walk through this compact indoor shopping centre while on a day trip to Llandudno. It's a clean and attractive space with an eye-catching wooden and glass ceiling and quaint lanterns. Easy to access from the main shopping street, and all on one level. There's an excellent variety of shops, ranging from high street names such as Boots Chemist, Body Shop, Pavers Shoes, Roman and Grape Tree, to small local retailers selling clothes, jewellery, toys, gifts, bedding and lots more, as well as a café and takeaways. It was a refreshing change not to see any empty units or closing down sales. Enjoyed browsing around Waterstones; they have a great selection of books and an upstairs café. The Tourist Information Office is also in the shopping centre, something I found very useful, and there's a photo booth right next to it. There's seating, and a lift up to free toilets and a multi-storey car park. Did not buy anything on this all too brief visit, but I liked what I saw and will come here again when I return to Llandudno.

Walked in as it looked like it had more boutique shops & it turned out to be so. Visitors Centre gift shop is here & The Longest Yarn to commemorate the 100th anniversary of end of WW1 is on display here too. The mammoth knit/crochet effort is a great tribute & definitely worth viewing. Shopping centre has the provincial feel & charm.

A lovely, well-kept, small rustic shopping centre on Llandudno high street. Hosts a good range of shops and has ample seating for older age groups. Also has two cafes, which makes it a nice place to grab a coffee and a bite to eat. Has an adjoining car park.

A very nice clean shopping centre with a great arrangement of shops i really enjoy the art shop at the entrance and they have a great sweet shop here. I also find that this is where we end up parking after driving around town trying to park. So I will definitely recommend everyone going straight here for parking has vechicle very safe, very cheap prices and great views from the top carpark

Conwy Caernarvonshire Golf Club, established in 1890, offers a picturesque links course with stunning views of hills and the ocean. The club's modern clubhouse complements its historic roots. Located near Conwy estuary and the sea, it provides a perfect setting for a post-game beach stroll. Having hosted major tournaments and set to accommodate the 2021 Curtis Cup, this Championship Links course is highly esteemed.
Great course in superb condition! We were lucky with the weather. The welcome from the pro shop was superb! Very friendly and helpful. The bar staff were also very friendly and the food was very nice. Overall a fantastic experience and I would 100% recommend a visit here.
Martin K — Google review
Loved it. A flat links with great views of the surrounding hills and bays. The course is well laid out and reasonably forgiving until you get to the final 3 holes, at which point the gorse closes in and ruins your hard earned score! The fairways were hard and fast but the greens were slightly woolly (probably just as well for my card) - a lovely welcome from the informative starter.
Paul K — Google review
Awesome links course in great condition. I played early evening when it was lovely and quiet. Some of the par 3s are especially beautiful and fun to play when the wind whips up. George in the pro shop was super friendly and helpful. Play it if you get the chance.
Rod W — Google review
Went to watch Bailey Hird (Grandson) Welsh Amateur Open. One of the most stunning views/course I've walk. Not one tree, but tight fairways you have to hit or bunkers, bracken, and tall grass await. Wind also will be a factor to add to your experience. Well maintained greens will be a challenge with slopes and different levels. Great Clubhouse with upper balcony for drinks and food overlooking the 18th hole. A must to add to anyone list.
David H — Google review
I suspect it's due to such a dry spring and early summer but a few of the fairways had bare dry patches, not burnt out grass just completed bare hard pan dirt. The practice and putting green surroundings by the clubhouse need some TLC, or maybe just some water. Greens were great. The food was also good in the clubhouse. Overall we were a little disappointed given the green fee but it's hard to know if it's just weather related. I hope they can get on top of it before the R&A Girls Amateur Championship in August.
Phil B — Google review
Excellent course as expected and friendly staff throughout - we were stuck behind a society of insurance bankers and the starter came out to apologise, make conversation and we appreciated the effort. Greens keepers were hard at work but not in the way or distracting. We'll be back on the county card again soon.

Lovely friendly people from the pro, management and reception 😀👏 Top course 👌 Lots of history 👌 On the coast 👌 Proper links 👌 Lovely fairways and greens ⛳️ Quirky and I'd 100% go back all day long 👏 Lovely place, good location and I can't wait to play it again! Looked after and fun 😁 Chatty staff. Management meetings and great 👍 Little touches, good starter and all full of good information 👌 Be spot on in the summer conwy but really lovely in the winter. 👍 Not a bit of wet for us 🙌
Sarah J — Google review
This was the first time I had played this course, unfortunately we hadn't had to much rain and the course wasn't at it's best so I was told. I would love to play it again after the course has become greener. Have to say picturesque course with some great views.

Ice cream shop
Nestled in the charming town of Conwy, Parisella's Ice Cream Parlour is a delightful destination for ice cream lovers. This beloved spot artfully blends Welsh ingredients with Italian flair, offering an impressive selection of flavors that cater to every palate. Whether you’re indulging in a classic cone or trying their delectable crepes topped with fresh fruit, each treat promises quality and taste.
a group of seven of us came in with 7 minutes to closing because we were so desperate for ice cream- and wow. just wow! not only was the employee so kind and helpful with our questions about the flavors, but the ice cream itself was insanely good. it was a light, creamy flavor that i don’t think anywhere else can replicate. i got a honeycomb one (with actual chunks of honey, so good!) and biscoff (not too overly sweet at all!) this place is a must go!
Julia P — Google review
Very expensive (£11.50!!) for a dry crepe (I had trouble cutting it) and the smallest amount of Nutella they could get away with. Absolutely awful and would not recommend going there.
Rachael W — Google review
The flavours were OK, we had Bounty, Raspberry swirl and Cheesecake. We would have preferred the Raspberry as a sorbet. Quite pricey, but portions are generous. We ordered cups with two flavours each and got two scoops per flavour. Which was nice but would have been a lot nicer if we could have had 4 flavours for that amount of ice cream.
Mijanou — Google review
The ice cream was super tasty and when a seagull stole my ice cream she gave me one for free ! We are free flavours and absolutely delicious. Recommended flavour: strawberry cheesecake

Visited here today at 3.30 4th sep. Bigger girl behind the counter dark hair, I asked for a waffle cone, she put the ice cream on the cheapest cones, I explained to her that I asked for the waffle cone, she had to be shown which one that was which is fine, I wasn't patronising or rude but she actually huffed and sighed that she had to change the cone. Not really a big deal is it. So rude and miserable, the ice cream cost me nearly £6. Teach your staff to be friendly especially at an ince parlour in a tourist spot!
Melly P — Google review
A full 5 stars for ice cream, waffles and tea. The waffles were probably the best I've ever had, warm, soft in the middle, served with brilliant ice cream and cream. The chunky money was the best. Super friendly staff too, with a great cup of tea. Simply the best experience.
Peter T — Google review
Oh my, what an ice cream! We like our ice cream but wow did this place delivers. It has to be some of the creamiest I've had. Salted caramel, White Chocolate Crunch, lemon curd and mango all highly recommend
Will G — Google review
My partner had the pistachio and I had the mint choc chip. The pistachio was average at best and the mint choc chip was a standard with a few chocolate chips in it. The establishment looks really nice but just disappointed with the quality of the ice creams for the price

Restaurant
Dylan's Conwy is a must-visit spot in Conwy, offering a delightful dining experience and an adjacent shop with a wide array of products perfect for gifts. The restaurant boasts stunning views of Conwy Castle, especially from the upstairs seating or the outdoor area on sunny days. While some dishes like the scallops and seafood linguine were delicious, others received mixed reviews. However, the kids' desserts were highly praised.
I love absolutely everything about this place, the food is all such high quality and delicious. The sage pork pie and lamb oggie are particularly amazing! Got a few that we took for hikes around the Aber Falls area and it was perfect. Didn't have any of the pastries, but gosh they looked tasty!
Bryn C — Google review
Very nice food in Conwy! We found the restaurant on Maps after our visit of the castle and decided to go with it for the seafood and locally sourced ingredients. There was a small queue which is a good sign! It's deceptively spacious, they have 3 rooms and also and outdoor area. The food and service were top-notched. The trio of dessert is scrumptious! Would visit again if I was in the area :)

We had an evening meal here on our last trip to Conwy, I would highly recommend, my wife has some minor reservations; either way we loved it and will return. The location is great right in the centre of Conwy, the interior is bright and welcoming, perfect for large groups as well as couples. Service was brilliant. Food wise it was great but without some issues- The white bait was the best we have ever had, perfect level of batter/crunch, good sized fish, good portion and a lovely dipping sauce again in a good volume. We’re coming again just for these!! Oysters I loved however my wife felt hers were grainy in texture, I didn’t feel this and with oysters it’s a bit of luck of the draw. Lobster main, I was disappointed, the meat was a bit stringy, not a large portion, tasted ok but not great. The chips with it were poor. My wife’s main was amazing, she adored the fish, felt it was cooked and seasoned beautifully!
Tom S — Google review
The food was delicious, we ordered 3 starters lasagna fried bites, calamari and chicken wings. Everything was delicious! The chicken wings were nice and crispy with a tad bit of spice and came with delicious I assume blue cheese sauce. I would say they were quite small in size though. Overall can’t complain the staff were friendly and environment was lovely ☺️

We were visiting Conwy and needed a place for dinner on a Saturday night. Almost every restaurant was completely booked. The kind hostess said that she would have a place for us at the end of our one hour walk, and she did. The sea bream tacos were delicious, accompanied by whiskey sour and red wine. The atmosphere was loud, fun and celebratory. Thanks for a great meal!
Gregory S — Google review
Food was so tasty, went back for a second time on our week trip because the pizza was delicious. Staff lovely too - knocked off a point because it was rather expensive but I understand the location and all :) Also side note, looks tiny from the outside, was gobsmacked how many seats and how big it actually was when the waitress took us to our table upstairs!

Dylan’s never disappoints!!! The staff are so lovely, the atmosphere is brilliant - what a view! And the music!? - and the food…. WELL! Absolutely delicious!!!! Well cooked, beautiful flavours, and brilliant drinks. It’s worth every penny!!! Thank you folks! I’ll be back!

Naomi and Torin were great hosts. They were able to accommodate our last minute booking for my mom’s birthday after a mix up with a different restaurant in the village over. The food and service were fantastic. We had a mixture from the lamb hash browns, black star trio, tacos and lobster ravioli to start and for the mains we had the tikka calzone, Menai mussels, seafood pizza and lasagne - everything was lovely. We couldn’t recommend this place enough and were very lucky to have two locations in North Wales. Thank you again! :)

Pub
Gastropub
The Old White House in Conwy is a must-visit pub and beer garden offering spacious indoor and outdoor terrace seating. The menu features classic dishes like veg curry, Welsh beef burgers, steak pies, succulent steak, and scampi with tartare. Visitors praise the delicious food, friendly staff, and charming atmosphere. While some found the lack of menus at tables and pre-applied gravy a bit odd, they still highly recommend this clean and well-laid out establishment for its great service.
What a lovely little place. Service was fantastic. Food was great, good portions esp the desserts and all very reasonable.
Andy M — Google review
That was actually really nice! We got an excellent deal for our meals, great prices. Real value for money, also with drinks and desserts - we did not have pudding, but checked what is offered. Taste of our food was nice, portion size totally fine, the service was quick - I cannot find anything wrong with this pub, why is no one going there? We are only here for a few more days, but I would stop again for a meal or just drinks anytime.

A very enjoyable meal was had. Friendly staff and decent Sunday Roast menu with a vegetarian option too. Good prices and very generous portions. Left the premises with a very happy belly.
Marcus W — Google review
It's pretty good place to stop on the route to grab a drink and have some food. Our fish and chips wasn't the best to be fair but portions was honest and service was very nice.

Great little find. Lovely pub with great outside seating area too. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Food is great and very reasonably priced. This will be my new local when staying at my caravan.

Bed & breakfast
Nestled in a charming Victorian building, The Manor Hotel offers a warm and inviting atmosphere right across from the stunning seafront of Llandudno. This delightful beach hotel places you just moments away from the vibrant Promenade and within easy reach of attractions like Venue Cymru and Conwy Castle. With 21 cozy guestrooms equipped with flat-screen TVs and complimentary Wi-Fi, you'll feel right at home while enjoying your stay.
We were made to pay for a service dog. This will be looked into by police as it is illegal. They tried to make my nan pay for breakfast even though it was already paid for. They were trying it because she's an old lady. The room I stayed in was supposed to be a sea view. If you lean tight against the wall you can see a bit of the ocean to the side. Hair in the shower and sink, yellow in all 4 corners of the shower. Surfaces had dried tea or coffee on them I had to wipe off myself. Crumbs everywhere and stained blankets and pillows. Musty crust and money grabbing staff. Owner treats staff like rubbish and has a go at them in front of everyone. Tv remote was sticky and gross so didn't even bother Breakfast was bare bones. Orange juice was so sour it almost killed my mother. They had a cool toast machine though.
Dani D — Google review
AVOID THIS HOTEL AT ALL COST. we booked a deluxe sea view room on line but when we arrived we was told no sea view rooms available. When we questioned the staff he said if we cancel the booking we will still be charged. We asked about the breakfast they said its continental only but this is not stated when booking. The room wasn't clean, windows was dirty and the unit was dusty, nothing deluxe about this more like cheap economy. Smelled moldy and dirty. We wanted more sugar and milk pressed reception buzzer but no one came. Do not stay here, save your money and go camping instead!!!
Sean D — Google review
Appearances deceptive … photo looked lovely. Deluxe sea view room … sea view room ✔️ but Deluxe absolutely not Room furniture all thick in dust, bedside cabinets made of glass cracked and trim off and left under the unit. So shocked when pulled back sheets (which were actually clean) found no mattress protectors and the mattress itself was disgusting. Stained, ripped and ancient. Thankfully given 100% refund via booking.com and found alternative pronto. Frustrated no one on site, phone call got me a guy who was clearly at home with his children interrupting conversation, he buttoned me 3 times. Not professional at all. Shame as location fab and hotel could be lovely with bit of investment and a decent housekeeper. Located sea front within the free parking area near paddling pool end prom. Constructive feedback as I’ve never given a bad review ever! Get a new bed, mattress, mattress protector and cleaner who knows how to weild a damp cloth - as needed asap could be a gold mine but no one parting with £100 + per night should be expected to lie on that !
CAROL H — Google review
Please avoid this Hotel as the standards are very poor. Rooms are never cleaned , the bed matress and linen are badly stained , Linen not properly washed, everything about this place is a nightmare. I really don't know how such a place is allowed to operate with such poor services. The bathrooms are filthy and the bathing water is not safe for the children as they can be burnt . Requested to have the family room we were using to be cleaned up and most of our belongings went missing. The manager came to apologise for the missing items, putting all the blame on a new staff member. The breakfast was really bad. Really feel sorry for the young man who seems to be running the place alone as there is nothing much he can do by himself. The place is really dirty and you will never enjoy your stay. What you see on the photos is not what is on the ground.
Bothwell M — Google review
Overall i wouldnt recommend. The view is lovely if your not put in the basement like i was. The food was poor they tell you a continental breakfast but you walk in and its aldi bread and a couple boiled eggs. The door to the room was broken and we did get locked in as well as weird and unexplainable stains in the carpet and walls. The heater in bathroom was also broken making our already humid room into a sauna. There are better hotels that are closer to the main town center than this one i would avoid

The worst hotel I ever seen. The staff is nowhere to found. They leave the customer info in reception desk and disappear. No data protection at all. Need to wait so long. Rang the bell and had to call but still no response. The owner was rude when told we waited long when I complaint. He have time to check cctv idea how long we have waited but can’t check cctv when customer is calling or ringing the bell, very unprofessional. Paid full payment but still been asked to pay again. I had to leave this hotel because the owner and staff is too rude. I wonder how did they get 3.3 star in google review. It shouldn’t even get 1 to be honest. Because of this hotel I had to cancel my trip and had to go home because of their rudeness. I won’t recommend this hotel to anyone.

DO NOT BOOK AT THIS HOTEL. THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY. I booked this hotel an had to cancel, they did not let be refund, so I decided to continue with my order, they then WOULD NOT LET ME STAY AT THE ROOM I PAID FOR. Disgusting business.
