Although there was a sign out front, scribbled with permanent marker, saying the go karts around back were still available, who wants to be around or take their kids around all that commotion. VERY DISAPPOINTING!!! Unfortunately, over the years I feel that Put-in-bay has become less and less of a place for the whole family to enjoy and more of a dysfunctional and disorderly place for rabble rousing. Heck, just a few weekends prior I heard they had to bring SWAT teams in from a few surrounding counties to help aid local Put-in-bay law enforcement to contain a low key riot! Apparently there was upwards of 19,000 people that started swarming the downtown and a assortment of violence and criminal behavior broke out. I was pretty skeptical as we made our way around back as it felt like we were heading into an alley. Ha! As we walk up to the track, I saw no one around. We left after standing there for 5 minutes and found something else to do somewhere else. I never saw the go-carts run the entire time we stayed on the island. This business feels a bit like false advertising and has one of those "Bar Rescue" kind of feels to it. The only 5-star review is likely from someone who knows the owner, give n it was around the same time as the other 1-star review. I don't recommend this place if you're looking for family fun.
