Castello Svevo of Termoli

Mentioned on
4 lists
Castle
Sights & Landmarks
Nestled in the charming town of Termoli, the Castello Svevo stands as a testament to centuries of history and architectural prowess. This impressive 13th-century fortress, originally constructed by Frederick II of Swabia, once served as a prison under Bourbon rule but has since been transformed into a cultural hub hosting various exhibits and events. Its limestone and sandstone fortifications not only protect the historic center but also offer breathtaking views over the surrounding landscape, including stunning beaches.
This is a very nice place. It's worth parking on the outskirts of town, you can walk for a long time along the beach and in the fort. On the beach there are several restaurants, cafés and ice cream shops with beautiful views of the coast and the castle.
Edit A — Google review
Very close to shops, restaurants and accomodation. A wonderful piece of history to enjoy. The homes in the area add to the character of this area and are kept in great condition.

Termoli is a beautiful City. Parking near the harbor. Easy steps up into the town and Castle. Photos from parking area.
Kathy E — Google review
Beautiful little seaside community. The old part of town is charming and beach is easily accessed for leisurely strolls. Visited during low season so city was quieter and more enjoyable for us. The castle could only be seen from the outside but nice vistas of the city and adriatic from the top of fortified walls.
M S — Google review
I'm not sure why this "Castle" is so highly rated. It's pretty much a turret. There's no way to go inside, and there's really not a lot to it. There are other castles, some distance away, that actually do have rooms, and frescoes, and panoramic views of the countryside. Termoli itself is awesome, and there are a lot of very cool things in the vicinity of this "castle" including terraced houses and walls that can be walked on, but I have no idea why this one is so highly rated.

The Ancient Village of Termoli, also known as "Paese Vecchio," is a must-visit spot with its stunning views and the aroma of the sea. It dates back to the Middle Ages when Termoli was a small fishing village. The village sits atop a hill, offering breathtaking ocean and port views. While it may be smaller compared to other old towns in Italy, it boasts well-preserved medieval architecture and clean streets.
beautiful views and lovely little bar all around well worth a walk around stopping of for a drink in one of bars /cafes
Kevin B — Google review
Italy is full of wonderful old towns. We've seen many and always like to find some new Centro Storicos or Borgo Anticos. Compared to many other towns, Termoli has a quite small old center. The location is quite beautiful though. Sitting on top of a hill, overlooking the ocean. You can walk all around the historic center, all with sea and port views. Inside the old center there is honestly not that much to see and do. Not just because of Corona. There are just not that many shops or restaurants. Only a handful. It was nice to walk around the small area anyways. But compared to other Historic Center it's quite a quick walk. Still, landmarks like the Castello Svevo with the Belvedere della Torretta, the Cathedral of Saint Mary 'della Purificazione and the Piazza Duomo makes the visit worth a drive. Don't miss out on the new part of town. The Corso Nazionale is a nice walking and shopping street. Surely worth a visit.

The Cathedral of Saint Mary of the Purification, located in the heart of Termoli's ancient village, is a restored Romanesque-style historic landmark. It is believed to have been built between the 12th and 13th centuries and houses the tombs of Saints Basso and Timothy. The cathedral's facade showcases a blend of Apulian Romanesque and Gothic styles due to renovations following earthquakes and invasions.

(Translated by Google) Nice idea and right recognition. Everyone in the cities creates or invents something to attract tourists and we can only congratulate the municipal administration because they did well to install statues dedicated to the illustrious people of the village. The one of particular interest is that of Benito Jacovitti who was a cartoonist and author of famous characters such as Cocco Bill and Cap the arch-policeman, of graphic novels such as Kamasultra and of the famous Diario Vitt, which between the 60s and 70s managed to sell dozens of thousands of copies. He was born in Termoli in 1923 and began his brilliant career at the age of 16, making a contribution to the Region in the cultural field. We were here on 02-11-24 and we recommend a visit to the National Course to admire what is written. Nice-ish Park. Parking is good, and sheltered. One item is that the only very smart facility is the tennis courts. Would it be cynical to suggest that the facilities used by the wealthy citizens are looked after best? (See photos) What is odd, there is a large, brand new and very smart looking swimming pool being finished off. This is matched by the rest of the park being awfully equipped. The park is clean and a respite to walk through. On a Sunday afternoon barely anyone was here despite sunshine. The playground is a very vast area and spread out which is ok with older kids but younger ones you will struggle sitting down as they will run off 😅 the equipment is a little bit for all ages and a lot of space for picnic, ball games etc. If all equipments would be usable this would be the best playground we seen in a month of italy

The Sant'Antonio beach resort offers convenient entrance and exit. The sand is a light brown hue, and the water is crystal clear with shades of turquoise. Though the public area is small, it's free to use. During peak seasons, this spot tends to be busier than usual.
Beautiful, with black sand on the southern part (hotter than white sand on your feet - wear water shoes!). Restaurants and bathrooms nearby. Can get windy.

I lived in Termoli for one year. This is a beautiful beach in the winter months. Only to be taken over in the summer by the stabiliméntos.

It's like an artificial lagoon..clean with non sticky sands..hardly any big waves..good for pleasant swimming experience
Prasenjit S — Google review
Worth decreases if you arrive later in the day. Heavily privatised beach. If you don't want to pay for seating (for instance we arrived at 1800 and only wanted a quick swim) you are directed to a small public area at the end of the beach. This area is not cleaned (small sticks everywhere and some larger driftwood), but also the quality of the water is poor: floating rubbish and muddy. Quite shallow as well, better for standing than swimming.

Il Grottino

$$$$affordable
Seafood restaurant
Il Grottino is an excellent choice if you're looking for affordable and fresh seafood, particularly fish. The staff is attentive and has a great sense of humor. The ambiance is intimate, and the cuisine rivals that of a high-end restaurant. I highly recommend trying their fish soup! The establishment offers both takeout options and a sit-down dining area. The owner is friendly, and the prices are reasonable. You won't be disappointed!
Try the fish soup!!! The place is divided in a take away corner and a proper restaurant. Very nice owner and super fair prices, you won't regret it! For the soup, fried peppers, orecchiette, half a liter of white wine and coffee we spent 43€. We will definitely come back!

Absolutely disgusting service. Came in at 9:30pm wanted to order something lighter for my stomach. The man serving was completely disrespectful and rude mentioning how we weren’t eating that much, that they are a “restaurant not a bar”, when we were ordering three full pizzas! I cannot explain how rude the man was, in the end, we couldn’t take such bad service we decided to leave right after ordering because he was so rude. I’m absolutely disgusted at his service.

Excellent meal, excellent and efficient service, will return. The owner was very welcoming and made great recommendations. Food was some of the best we had in Termoli.

SUPREMELY RUDE. We showed up in a big group (to a nearly empty restaurant) but let the waiter know that we weren't very hungry. We start ordering and all he can say is that "you're at a restaurant not a bar, if you didn't want to eat you should've gone to a bar". The place smelled really bad (like armpits) on top of everything. Finally he just treated our guests bad enough that we left before they could make us anything. I am truly shocked at the terrible service here. We left and went to other restaurants nearby and nobody treated us even remotely poorly.
Maria R — Google review
A cozy place to have dinner at. Perfect for couples, families or just friends. The specialities served are really tasty and the personnel is kind and gentle.

Extremely rude service. The place smells overwhelmingly like sweat and we got shamed because we only were going to order 3 pizzas. The man taking the orders was extremely disrespectful. DO NOT COME HERE!
Patricia P — Google review
Great catch if you are trying to get some good fresh food (especially fish) for a very very limited price. The waiting staff is subliminal at taking care of you and is always ready for a joke. The place is cozy but the food will make you feel like you are in a starred restaurant. 10/10 would recommend

What a beautiful restaurant setting, very romantic cave and smart place. We had the carpaccio and raw fish platters to start which were absolutely incredible. So much amazing choice and so fresh. Then beautiful pasta dishes.

I visited this lovely restaurant on my holiday in Termoli. The food was fresh, well prepared and very tasty. The atmosphere was classy yet lively. The staffs were polite and helpful and the service was impeccable. I think the price is very reasonable compared the quality of the food and service. I enjoyed the food and experience. One of the best in the region!

Many restaurants have great ratings in consideration for the local area and other nearby places. SVEVIA is a top restaurant in any context, in any city. Great restaurant ingredient combinations and preparation. You will ices are also very in line. This was a highlight of a visit to Termoli. Thanks to the staff.

Lovely outdoor settings, great attentive service and excellent food. They had an extensive wine list as well - I can recommend the 200 Metri made from the local Tintilia grape. The red wine was fantastic, but served a little bit to warm, I know that will be contested by almost every italien, but I maintain my viewpoint 😄
Jens O — Google review
It’s one of those places that looks unforgettable — until the food arrives. The atmosphere is stunning: elegant design, warm tones, and an inviting sense of sophistication that sets expectations high. The Chitarrine al tartufo molisano was heavy on butter, leaving little room for the truffle to shine. The Spaghetti ai ricci di mare was ok, unremarkable. The Tiramisù also missed the mark, though the oyster was excellent — fresh and perfectly prepared. Beautiful place, ok-average food.

Very good experience, and very reasonably priced. Professional up-scale kitchen, very professional wine list and excellent service. We where aiming on another restaurant and found it closed. Ended here and did not have high expectations. We were surprised from all aspects- positively

Nicolino

Diner
Ristorante Da Nicolino is a charming eatery located near the castle in Termoli. Known for its exceptional seafood offerings, this establishment showcases the finest in traditional Termolese cuisine. The sophisticated dining room, with its brick arches, creates an elegant ambiance for diners to enjoy their meal. A must-try specialty is brodetto alla termolese, a lavish local fish stew that will leave you satisfied.
A must if you’re in Termoli or anywhere close by. Try the Brodetto di Pesce!!! An individual portion is more than enough for 2 and is served with vermicelli pasta that can be eaten as a soup when you pour over the fish broth. Wine list is rich in local options and very cheap! Ps: if you don’t eat fish, don’t embarrass yourself and go elsewhere! This is a fish restaurant!

Wow, what a find! Stumbled in here completely by chance on a Sunday evening when lots of places were closed and it was great. The portions are very generous, highly recommend the signature dish of prawns and paccheri (type of pasta) cooked in a terracotta bowl. Lots of local customers along with tourists and great atmosphere

The restaurant is very elegant inside, nice tables, tables clothing, great service. But the review is not about that is about the food. Their food is delicious but the king or the Queen of all is the fish soup Îl Brobetto di Nicolino....amazing few kinds of delicious fish, seafood, toasted bread and the tomatoes soup is amazing....comes with a plate of pasta They tell the dish is for one but is good for two not so hungry. It worth the drive from Salerno to Termoli and trust me is worth it.

A delightful restaurant with a delicious Mediterranean menu and a cozy atmosphere. Excellent and fast service, the dishes are simply incredibly tasty, and we were pleasantly surprised by the compatriot chef! Don't forget to try their fish soup and cannoli delicacy, simply delicious! However, it is recommended to reserve a table in advance, even on a weekday, as the entire room is always full

Simply AMAZING. We got different groups of locals recommended us this restaurant. However, silly as I, still came with doubt. Luckily we did come and as the result, we had the best dish of the region! All the seafoods are so fresh, the crew was friendly, and great food just makes people happy, you can feel it in the air! Do make reservations. We don’t have local numbers so we walked in to do so, first round was fully booked, we got to book our for second round.

People who knew what to order seemed to get high quality seafood. We had not been there before, so perhaps we weren’t ordering the best items, but our food was not good. If it’s not going to be prepared well, it shouldn’t be on the menu. Cannot recommend the cuttlefish with peas or the ravioli. Fried calamari was a little better, but too greasy. Mixed seafood grill was not at all as expected. Nothing really tasty from what we tried, and certainly not worth the price. For some reason, our food took a lot longer to arrive than others who came in either before or after us. Spent most of our time there staring at an empty table. The waiters were as friendly as could be expected given the language barrier, but service was very slow and we often seemed to be forgotten.

Emphasizing the use of fresh and seasonal ingredients sourced from local producers whenever possible, the restaurant ensures that every dish is made to order for optimal freshness. Visitors can expect an array of delectable seafood options prepared to perfection.
Excellent restaurant. Over the port. Good air. Great food.

The young man in black glasses serving us today was quite rude. We were told there was no space inside to sit and when we left there was still plenty of open tables inside the restaurant. His “advice” was showing us how the menu worked which we understood and didn’t like that we wanted calamari as an appetizer. Additionally he charged us $14 euros for a small plate of unseasoned zucchini as our meals side dish. I would not recommend going here. :(

We ate 2 raw food in 3, 3 main plates and one bottle of wine: 45€ each. The raw fish was abundant although it was not sea fish but farmed one, the main dish such as pasta e vongole was very bad, both tasteless.

Grande! Very fresh fish and good price quality level. Love to hop in when I am around. In the summertime it is hard to find a space for lunch. The best tuna steak I had here and not only once. Also the Anchovi salad as a starter tastes awesome. Highly recommended to try it, if you visit Termoli!

Ristorante Don Giovanni - Steak House is a family-owned and operated restaurant located in Termoli, Italy. Since its opening in 2004, it has been serving an eclectic menu of Italian cuisine featuring grilled Argentine and Irish steaks, homemade pasta, and other seasonal delights. The restaurant offers a warm and rustic atmosphere where diners can enjoy their meals paired with a selection of Italian wines sourced from various regions.
This is one of the best restaurant in town. I think i have never had nowhere such an amazing dinner. The meat was outstanding and delicious. We had Parma prosciutto and 1.5kg of Spanish meat along with roasted vegetables and potatoes (super sweet delicious potatoes). The wine was amazing and the bill in perfect line with the high quality dinner. In this place you have the best quality of everything and you cannot compare it with other restaurants. The service and the attention of the waiters is impeccable (tips are not included in the bill so remember to hand it separately afterwards). There is AC just renovated and well diffused in the overall space and therefore the temperature is perfect especially during the warm summer. Simply perfect.

I walked in without a booking and had no trouble being seated. I ordered the fillet ( medium) with red onion and brandy, a salad, oven baked potatoes and a glass of house wine. The wait staff advised that the potatoes would take about 20 mins which was fine given I hadn’t ordered a first course. The steak was cooked perfectly and was tender and delicious. It could have been seasoned a little more for my taste, but there was salt on the table to season it myself. The potatoes were delicious and worth the wait. I was offered dessert and chose the cheesecake with Lotus biscuit and salted caramel, it arrived in an individual pot and was much lighter than expected and quite delicious. All in all a lovely meal. The staff were helpful and friendly. If I return to Termoli in the future I will definitely eat here again

A Memorable First Meal in Termoli. Don Giovanni Restaurant & Steak House It was our first time in Termoli, and like most travellers, we asked on Instagram for a good restaurant and steak house. Ristorante Don Giovanni came recommended by a local guy now living in London and it didn’t disappoint. We went for lunch on a Friday and were warmly greeted by Davide, who genuinely took the time to listen to what we were after. He made thoughtful suggestions, not the usual generic stuff, and clearly cared about the experience. The service was faultless, and the quality of the food was fantastic. We’ve eaten our way around the world, Dubai, Spain, Portugal, Ireland and many more. I can honestly say, you’re getting real value here. Not just price value, but quality ingredients, proper service, and care in the kitchen. As someone who genuinely appreciates a good steak, my eye couldn’t help but catch the other plates coming from the kitchen, everything looked on point. I had pasta as well, which was absolutely fantastic and clearly made with pride. The house red wine was an ideal pairing smooth, rich and with a nice after taste. We finished with semifreddo and tiramisu, both classic, well-balanced and not overdone. A strong finish to a memorable meal. We’ve just purchased a property nearby and I’m confident this will become one of our regular spots when in the region. If you’re visiting Termoli and looking for honest food with standout service, Don Giovanni deserves your attention.

We have not been here for a few years - but Davide and his team welcomed us like regulars. Service was fast and exceptional - food and this is a steak house - so no fish etc., was amazing . They packed all our leftovers with so much care and we had today for lunch . The steak - what a great concept to have the hot plate - everyone got to choose exactly how they wanted their steak done . I have never tasted steak so tender ..I would highly recommend this beautiful restaurant to anyone - our bill for 7 + a 3 year old was €360…we gave a €30 tip. This included wine and drinks - expresso and 1 tiramisu…which apparently was Delish

Absolute perfection! My escort, who lives in Termoli, had told me very good things about this family operation. So, Don Giovanni was the first place we went upon my arrival from the US. The atmosphere is typical steakhouse--warmly elegant. And very welcoming. I especially enjoyed our table location on the second floor terrace, where we could view the activity below. The extensive menu comprises a large variety of meat cuts from some of the most famous beef producing regions of the world. Each is prepared precisely to order, in 100 gram increments, seasoned to taste with pink salt and coarse black pepper accompaniments. We also enjoyed the grilled eggplant as well as the freshly crisp salads. Don Giovanni's wine list provides multi-national selections at appropriate price points. All the staff are very gracious, and helpful with pairings. Ristorante Don Giovanni's ambiance and quality are world class. Be sure to make advance reservations!

Trattoria Nonna Maria

$$$$affordable
Italian restaurant
Trattoria Nonna Maria, managed by Gianfranca, is located in the pedestrian center of Termoli, facing the Svevo Castle. The restaurant is housed in a nineteenth-century building with stone rooms adorned with modern art and ceramics. The kitchen is led by Esperanza, a historic cook from Cian, offering a menu that includes both classic dishes and typical Termoli specialties such as mixed grills, spaghetti with clams, brodetto, and stuffed monkfish.
We ended up eating at the restaurant twice for a lunch and a dinner as we enjoyed it so much. The fish soup which is a specialty of the region was amazing with an abundance of different type of fish and seafood. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with two different styles on either side and the hosts and waitress's were extremely welcoming despite our poor Italian! We were traveling around Southern Italy and the dishes we tried here we some of the best we ate, the small starters with the Octopus cooked with onion was something i will be dreaming of in years to come!

Great fish restaurant in the center of Termoli. Dishes are delicious, we came here 3 times while our stay and were always satisfied! Besides the main menu offer, we also tried a mix of “carpaccio” made of tuna and salmon, with fresh scampi and shrimps. For our last night we ordered crayfish (aragosta), served with fettuccine in tomatoe sauce. Prices are fair, considering it’s fresh fish. I can highly recommend a dinner here!

We were looking for a great seafood restaurant for dinner and came upon Trattoria Nonna Maria right in the heart of Termoli. We had a fantastic waiter who spoke perfect English. We were craving mussels and we were not disappointed! We had a beautiful dish of mussels with sides, wine and dessert on the house. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and would highly recommend dinner at Trattoria Nonna Maria!
Michelle P — Google review
Today me and my boyfriend had dinner at Nonna Maria. The food was nice. Unfortunately this does not apply to the service provided. I have never experienced such bad service before in my life. I will explain to you why. - the general tone of all (also English speaking) waitresses was very unfriendly. They were very short in their answers and made us feel very unwelcome. I know that it is the busiest time of the year, but this does not allow you to treat guests like they are a nuisance; - On top of that we were treated differently than the Italian guests. Who were treated with a smile and got sides like bread, while we had to ask for it; - We received Italian menus even though the lady knew we did not speak Italian and there were English menus available. We were again approached by a non English speaker for the order, even though there were English speaking waitresses. And this person mixed up the order; - Furthermore there was a dirty glass on the table. This can happen, not a problem. But it was not removed until end of dinner when I put it on the plate; - My order was mixed up. This resulted in the fact that I only got my main course when my boyfriend had already finished his dinner; My boyfriend did not want to post a review online. He rather provided the feedback in the kitchen to the waitress. She acknowledged the feedback, but said the following: - it’s a very busy time for the restaurant. She mentioned he should return in January when it’s less crowded; - it’s a trattoria not a restaurant, so he should not have too high expectations. I am sorry but this is exactly why I am posting this review online. This does not excuse you to be nice to your guests, make them feel at home and treat them equally. I hope you will take this feedback to heart and use it to further improve your business.

After ordering everyone got their meals at random times including myself who recived my dish over an hour later. When it did arrive the dish was not cook and was no where near al dente. We payed for everyones dish who ate after getting yelled at by a server. Then went to eat at a chips place down the road.

Unbelievable quality. I’ve been to many restaurants now in this quaint town and while all of course boast of fresh produce, L’Opera is the first that takes the same ingredients and pushes them to their limits. Each dish is creative and hearty. I had the gnoccheti with zucchini, the egg pasta with saffron and shrimp tartare, and the grilled octopus. Every single dish was perfectly cooked, generously portioned, and delicious. The ambience is also so refined. The coral marble walls, the chic plush chairs, the clean and spacious bathrooms, the unobtrusive yet attentive service. Finally, a beautiful modern restaurant in Termoli

Marco P — Google review
We ate at this restaurant several nights ago and enjoyed it but only partly. First the positive aspects: the place itself is small and cozy, the service was impeccable and friendly, the wine (a rosato from Molise) was splendid. The appetizers were absolutely wonderful. I had the raw antipasti platter which was fresh, flavorful and beautifully presented. My husband had the cooked antipasti which were inventive and served in two sequences of three, 6 delectable dishes in all. The main dishes were somewhat of a disappointment. My husband’s hake fish was fresh but a bit overwhelmed by the breadcrumb & tomato topping. I ordered a thick slice of the fish of the day, which happened to be tuna. The fish itself was cooked to perfection (almost raw in the middle) but the way it was originally cut included some tendon which caused the filet to curl up becoming difficult to eat. We would have wished for something green on the plate in addition to the simple but delicious roasted potatoes. My husband had a ricotta Bavarese which was indeed splendid. I would definitely return to this place but would order differently, I think everything was fairly priced and portions ample. full and a lovely and lively ambience wpresent.

Then the gnocchi were bad texture.. supermarket quality and the tomato sauce was from a bucket!! I saw the open container in the kitchen when I went to the bathroom!! Wonderful restaurant in a wonderful location. But do not accept suggestions from the waiters. Order strictly from the menu and note the prices. My antipasto with half bottle of wine was 44 euro. The waiter suggested and guided me into it in a very slick way. It was excellent, but 44 euro in Termoli? I come to Termoli often and this was my first time at this excellent restaurant. I will not be back. I do not like feeling taken advantage of because my Italian is clearly foreign. Too bad. But there are plenty of good restaurants in Termoli and the scene is growing. Hopefully, the market will discipline this kind of self-subversive behavior.

La Sacrestia is a charming restaurant and pizzeria located in Termoli, Italy. Situated on a small street, it offers delightful outdoor dining with carefully prepared dishes and friendly service. Visitors have praised the flavorful pizzas, especially the Papa pizza, as well as the generous portions of seafood dishes. The attentive staff and reasonable prices add to the overall positive dining experience.
Food is amazing. My pizza was better than the one I had in Naples and the pasta was delicious. You could eat outside too. A MUST,

Monday night and few places are open. Wondering around Termoli, I lucked out finding this place. Honestly, soggy pizza like they serve in Napoli is not my preference. My pizza really needed a spoon to eat, but my goodness the flavours in the Papa pizza. Lovely. Dinner was followed by a lovely dessert, but I bet it's even better fresh. Great little spot, very nice staff and I'm very happy. The house red was really good.

I was 3 weeks in Termoli, I went around restaurants, menu was similar. My favorite is pasta with seafood. And I can say this place has the best test for my indonesian tongue.

This place is a pathetic excuse for a restaurant. They forgot about my daughter's order. We had to wait another 26 minutes for them to prepare it and they promised a discount. When they brought the bill, they discounted nothing. When we pressed, they discounted 2.5 Euros. This is pathetic. Waiting for 25 minutes for a forgotten meal to be served. To add insult to injury - the attitude that it was our fault. No words to express the total lack of respect and regard for their patrons. We had come to this place often over the years. Their food was nothing great. So we won't be missing much. Stay away. There is plenty of selection in the vicinity. STAY AWAY!

Foggia Gino Lisa Airport

Airport
Foggia Gino Lisa Airport is a convenient gateway to the stunning destinations of Vieste, Peschici, Monte Sant'Angelo, Lucera, and Sant'Agata di Puglia. The airport is known for its efficient operations and proximity to the city center. Foggia Cathedral, located in the historic center, showcases an impressive blend of Baroque, Neoclassical, and Gothic styles with an 18th-century bell tower and intricate facade.
The long-awaited airport in Foggia is finally open. It is easy to reach, clean, and the personnel are always available to help and provide information. Please continue operating flights, especially the one to Munich.

Terrible information center. The girl told me there was à bus at 12h10from the airport to the city center, wait 1h30 and the bus never came. Itsquiet incredible there is no bus service between the airport and the cith, only 2 per day !!! Very bad airport service. Taxi fée for going in town, 15 mn ride : 20 euros !!!!

Arriving to Foggia airport makes possible to easily reach many breathtaking destinations: Vieste, Peschici, Monte Sant’Angelo, Lucera, Sant’Agata di Puglia and many many more. The airport works fastly and efficiently, and it’s not very distant from the city center. Always happy to be welcomed in Puglia :)

Abruzzo Airport

International airport
Airport
Abruzzo Airport, located in central Italy, serves as a gateway to the mountainous and green region of Abruzzo. The airport is situated near four provinces: L'Aquila, Teramo, Pescara, and Chieti, offering access to an impressive coastline and traditional wooden platforms known as Trabocchi selling fresh seafood. This region is celebrated for its natural beauty, including the Gran Sasso mountain range and Italy's oldest national park.
For a small regional airport it functioned very well. Security scanning and boarding was relatively fast and smooth, less stressful than much larger airports we have been through.

The airport doesn't have enough seats, the only sandwiches after the security are meat - what about good Friday and vegetarians - they have no shops and their security is outdated. Furthermore, they stopped a kid for having a chocolate spread (that can not be bought in engalnd) and deodorant. The thing is that this kid wasn't all secretive or anything he was really warm and nice!!

Pescara Airport is honestly one of the worst I’ve ever been to. It’s dirty, the staff are rude, and the bar after security serves terrible panini — cold, tasteless, and overpriced at €8. The woman behind the counter was far from friendly. The whole place feels neglected and unpleasant. There are no proper souvenir or cosmetic shops, just a few poor-quality options. This airport seriously needs an inspection for cleanliness and service standards. I would never recommend it — places like this shouldn’t even operate if they treat travelers with such little respect. Even one star is too much for this place

Not bad for a very small airport, only has 5 gates for international departure. Staff are helpful and courteous. There are charging station for phones but only on one side at Gate 2 near the vending machine.

Such a basic airport, no food insight or outside But very convenient and quiet. We will use this airport again as perfect base for Abruzzo
Tjiepe M — Google review
Nice easy airport, only 5 gates so security and customs is easy work.

The benches inside the airport are dirty, the charging point doesn’t work, they took away my solution for lenses though it was less than 100 ml. The staff don’t speak decent English. Terrible!
Angy A — Google review
Although it is a small airport, it has all the essentials you may need while waiting. The only downside is that for those flying to London, it is not possible to go to the shops after security unless you visit them before passport control. Once you pass that point, you are no longer able to shop in the limited ‘duty free’ area.” it wold be good to reatlrrange the passport control so that everione can shop and after go to the respective gate of departure
