Bisc'Aventure

Mentioned on
4 lists
Amusement center
Amusement park
Bisc'Aventure is a thrilling high-rope tree adventure center that offers a perfect option for indoor fun during less-than-ideal weather. The sheltered trees provide cover from the rain, and there's a cozy cafe area for parents who prefer to wait while their kids participate in the activities. In addition to the high-wire courses, Bisc'Aventure also features various other exciting activities such as an outdoor Laser Game, climbing wall, and giant catapult.
Well organized, safety instructions video, in almost all languages and almost no queing since there are 16 parcours. Only downside is that you have to pay extra for things like the Big Jump and the catapult, but that is probably to keep the overall costs down for people who only want to do the parcours. Overall it was as a really great experience.
Job V — Google review
We went as a family 2 adults 2 boys 11 & 9 yrs old. We really enjoyed it. Very clear instructions all staff were very helpful and so nice. The zip lines were really long and very easy to clip on and off. Very safe we had the best time and wished we had more time there. Very reasonable prices and well worth a visit. Go early and make it a full day. Kelly family Ireland
Vin K — Google review
Great place to spend 2-6 hours if you like climbing. We’ve been to more centers like this and I must say that most others seemed to be slightly better maintained. Still it’s safe and a lot of fun for the kids. Prices are very reasonable. So definitely I recommend.
Stefan V — Google review
It is really fun and scary sometimes. I really recommend. And it's fun for all ages. after you can do some other activities. But they didn't really explain well, neither assist me, in the 'big jump'. But it was still really fun.
Alex R — Google review
So fun and easy to get into. They are really cognizant about the course so you build up your confidence and comfort with the different adventure courses. I walked thinking I wouldn’t zip-line at all, and left a zip-lining expert! Great for kid and adults of all ages. And so safe! It feels impossible to fall.
Arthur S — Google review
We had a fantastic afternoon on the high rope courses. If you’ve tried the UK Go Ape high ropes, this is a similar concept but most are far trickier and harder. It was a much trickier and scarier experience than we anticipated, which made it all the better! Friendly staff and great value.
Nick J — Google review
Very cool big climbing park, with one minor inconveniance. Courses are basic to really very advanced, so something for all. Really nice. Food is also good and not too expensive. Safety instructions in various languages. We went with 3 children of 4, 6 and 9. Please be aware!! Children of 6 year between 1.20m and 1.30m cannot normally enter both the Pitchoun and the first "normal" courses. Not even with paying twice. Unfortunately I could not find out why, nor was it in the rules. (For us, this was inconvenient as the smallest one did not want to be alone all the time, as the rest was at other tracks. We paid extra for the 6-year old for the Pitchoun, but were told that normally you have to choose one category per day.) Regardless, we spent a very nice day here and would come again!

Amusement park
If you're seeking an exhilarating day out in Biscarrosse, look no further than Aquapark Biscarrosse! Nestled along the picturesque lakeshore, this aquatic adventure park is a haven for thrill-seekers and families alike. Open from early May to late September, it boasts a plethora of attractions including inflatable trampolines, climbing walls, giant catapults, and slides that promise endless fun. The park features a dedicated area for younger children under 10 called Aquakid!
Absolutely the best family fun we have had. Without a doubt a bargain for the amount of fun you get for the price. We paid for an hour and probably only did half the stuff. We had such a laugh. Very well managed with the staff being very friendly and fun.
Dan C — Google review
A great couple of hours of fun on the water for €20. Loads of activities, music and sunshine in a beautiful lake. A jetty covers 2 sides so spectators can take photos.
Danielle B — Google review
We had a fantastic experience at the aquapark! Before our visit, we emailed to ask if our older children (12 and 14) could accompany our 6-year-old, as the park has separate timeslots for kids up to 8 and those 8 and older. The staff responded promptly, informing us that our youngest could join the 8+ session if it wasn’t too busy, typically at opening (11:00 AM) or near closing (6:00 PM). We arrived at 11:00 AM, waited about 30 minutes, and then enjoyed two hours of fun at the park. It’s the largest aquapark we’ve ever visited, with attentive lifeguards ensuring everyone’s safety. If you’re in the area or within a 30-minute drive like us, it’s absolutely worth the trip!
Evert B — Google review
Great FUN for the entire family. The site contains loads of inflatable water games comprising slides, zip-line (costs extra), obstacles, climbing wall, balls which you can try crossing (I have seen nobody make more than 3 or 4 balls) and many more. You can take the 1h or 2h session (we took the 1h first but decided to stay for the full 2h as its really great fun). It can get busy but the lifeguards keep the teenagers in check. If you have younger children you can choose one of three family mornings for children under 10. Highly recommended for a fun outing.
Michael S — Google review
The sheer size of this place is amazing, smaller children are easily lost if they wander due to the number of elements here but there are many life guards on duty
Nino B — Google review
This was great fun, busy, but still asks to move around the floats. Life guards all over it. Each one i saw was extremely vigilant.
Vicky W — Google review
Awesome fun, totally shattered (FYI I am a athletic 35 year old with an incoming dad bod) after 50 minutes… Loads of fun, recommend going later in the day around 7PM, much more quiet, no queues.

The walk from the parking area leads through pine woods and sand dunes, with lifeguards on duty during summer months.
Great nature, great beach, a lot of fun in the waves. We walked a bit from the parking spot on a new wooden road - really nicelly done with a respect to the nature.
JL81 — Google review
A lively beach with great waves and fine white sand. Very popular, so often busy during the summer months, but with a friendly and easy-going atmosphere. The walk from the parking lots to the beach itself is somewhat lengthy, leading through pine woods and long stretches of sand dunes. Lifeguards are on duty during the summer months, patrolling a small section of the beach. Also good for surfing, with surf schools and board hire on site. Spent a gorgeous day there. Outright recommendation!
Andree L — Google review
Great place to catch some surf and some rays!
Darren X — Google review
We really enjoyed this beach along the ocean... what an experience!

After having problems to charge my EV because of the lack of ID numbers of the charging point, and inability to communicate in French when customer service answered their phones, I decided to visit the Tourist Office around the corner. It was around 9:30. There were four attendies in the office and I was the only customer. I asked for help. I asked them to call the charging point operator to ask for the ID of the charging point and confirm that I can pay by credit card. The piece of help offered by the tourist office team was giving me the phone number (available in the web site!) and insisting me to call myself saying: “I am wasting my time calling for you they speak English too” I thought a tourist office is supposed to serve tourists! I hope the rest of tourist will be better served…. Not my case! I left disappointed that it was a simple ask, 4 service people, one customer and a simple call to solve a problem couldn’t be managed.
Roger S — Google review
The staff here are friendly, knowledgeable and had good english. There wasn't much literature to take away and it was a bit difficult to find out what activities were available.

Museum Hydraviation

History museum
Museums
Specialty Museums
The Museum Hydraviation is located on a former airbase and centers around seaplane-themed exhibits showcasing antique aircraft, as well as various memorabilia. It offers visitors an exceptional opportunity to explore the rich history of aviation through intriguing artifacts and stories. Whether one has a passion for aviation or simply wants to spend an hour or two learning about it, this museum is definitely worth visiting. The venue is situated in Biscarosse and will undoubtedly leave a lasting impression on anyone who visits.
Although not the biggest aviation museum it is well worth a visit, the displays are very interesting and well set out. The main feature is the plane outside, there is another plane sited opposite. Inside much time has been taken to describe the interesting exhibits. After your visit there is a scenic area to sit and enjoy your lunch.
Ewan B — Google review
Fascinating history of (predominantly) French flying boats and seaplanes, but always with reference to international developments. Very interesting and educational especially for those of us brought up only on UK/US planes. Plenty of relics, photos, documents etc. Well laid out with English translations to many exhibits plus multilingual explanatory sheets to many areas.
Stuart R — Google review
Explore the development of waterplanes. You will have an experience from the early 1900-1960. There are scale models, mock-ups, clothing, explanations. It’s nice to see the development of technic and comfort
Etienne B — Google review
The museum delivers an immersive and well-curated experience. It succeeds in blending technical depth with engaging storytelling—bringing alive the pioneering spirit of Seaplane legends like Saint‑Exupéry & Mermoz. The Albatross alone is worth the trip, as it’s not only photogenic but also educational, especially for water-rescue and firefighting aviation history. Visitor reviews praise the thoughtful layout, good English translations, and friendly staff . It pairs beautifully with a coastal tour: from Normandy’s beaches to Landes’ aeronautical heritage.
Andrzej R — Google review
Honestly even better than I expected. I learned so much and there's so much fascinating history. A lot of it is models of planes but really good ones, some of which blew my mind to learn that such insane contraptions actually flew. Also if you're a Porco Rosso fan you'll like some of the models near the entrance. Towards the end of the visit of course you get to see some real historical planes too and it was a very moving experience for me. The gift shop is very nice too. Well worth the slight detour! A very moving experience if you're a plane nerd. Also, if you're a pilot bring your license for a small discount on the ticket price. I forgot mine but I showed them my flight club membership online which also sufficed.
E. B — Google review
Very well explanations and great storyline. TVs are not configured properly so you can’t watch the documentaries, the hangar is packed so you can barely see the planes
Ángel M — Google review
Super cool small museum about the history of the water avaiation wih cool models and real parts.
Maranello360 — Google review
Nice small museum, lot of history, worth the time

We went there in summer, 24th August. Waitress at the entrance was super rude and she continued to be rude later. Don’t recommend.
Adam M — Google review
First time coming here and we absolutely loved it! Ended up coming back every night, even if it was just for a glass of wine! The staff are incredibly friendly, recognised us each night and made us feel extremely welcome. The food was also incredible! Our personal favourite were the Hamburger and Tartar, but everything was so good! The location is wonderful and restaurant is stylish and beautiful! Staff even took the time to talk to us and make conversation, making us feel even more welcome. Thank you for letting us try your new lemonchello as well! 100% recommend and will definitely be back soon!!

Lovely atmosphere and very nice dinner Food is a bit more expensive but it is worth it Kids are welcome!
Angela — Google review
We've been coming here for years and it is consistently great. This time there was chilled music, sunshine, good cocktails and food for all, the kids loved the steak hache, grown ups particularly enjoyed the beef pearls, bone marrow and camembert.
Daniel J — Google review
It was a nice dining experience and the waiters are very friendly

The Spot is quite nice and at very nice area at the Lake Biscarosse. Unfortunately the some of the service crew is missing manners. We weren't so lucky and had a waitor that was quite arrogant and very unfriendly. Even while we were trying to talk in Frensh, we got quite harsh anwsers in english as responses. It was an quite unpleasant encounter. However the drinks are quite good even while a bit expensive.

What a great find! This lovely restaurant is only 15min from the beach and very accessible. The food is great, the staff super friendly. The menu changes regularly but everything we had was scumptious, from the starter to the deserts! Highly recommended if you are in the area. We will be back.

We arrived at 12 without reservation. All guesses add a great experience. Very good food, good quality of product. The staff was very friendly. Cured ham, fish or steak with fries, and dessert for the kids menu. The service is not fast but it take time to cook good food and dress plates for 12 persons
Mickael O — Google review
A simple regional restaurant I recommend We took foie gras, chipirons, duck legs, the daily caramelised pork and a sirloin steak served with homemade fries. Everything was fine and tasty. The terrasse was full so booking recommended.

Been coming here for last 5 years and the food is excellent , set dinner time menu €13.50 but make sure you either book or get there for 12:00pm as it is very popular with the locals .

What a nice surprise and what a great place. Good and very friendly service and very nice food. Would go back any time. The images dont do justice to the taste!

We had a fantastic meal in this very traditional French restaurant. Every table was booked and it seemed to be all locals which shows how good it is. They have a menu de jour at lunch time that is really great value and an al carte menu in the evening. The food was delicious and the staff we really great.

The best restaurant you can find in New-Aquitaine. The food is great and for everybody, the staff is extremely friendly. You can even find playgrounds for your children. Even though you usually have to make reservations due to a great number of people eating there at night, it is definitely worth it. I went there countless number of times, and i can't get enough of it. Everytime i get an occasion to eat there, I take it without a moment's hesitation. The menu changes a bit every year based on what people ordered during the year, so you can always try out new things. The building itself is very authentic because it gives a feeling of nostalgia to people who come here often. It hasn't been renewed since the creation of the restaurant, so everytime you come back, it feels exactly the same as the first time. Just to say how amazing this restaurant is.
Benjamin A — Google review
We opted for this restaurant based on the positive reviews and have been delighted to find friendly staff (in France, it needs to be highlighted...!), nice food and a decent play area for kids giving us a little bit of peace... We therefore definitely recommend this address. But be aware, during the season you need to book if you want to have a chance to get a sit!
Christophe C — Google review
We just wanted a beer on a hot day. After consulting just about everyone on duty: Not possible - we have to eat something too. OK when in France... So we found a pizza and wanted to share it as we weren't hungry. Not possible. There is an extra charge of €3 for the person not eating. That's when we said enough of this malarkey and got up and left. A waste of time
Paul R — Google review
Great pizzas cooked on wood fired pizza oven. Helpful friendly staff and well presented cocktails. Children and dogs welcomed with no fuss.

This charming establishment features shabby-chic accommodations that exude warmth and comfort, making it an ideal spot for unwinding after a day of exploration. Our room was really nice and directly overlooking the lake. This was a great way to wake up on the morning to a stunning view. The staff was really friendly and I wished we could have stayed more as we felt so comfortable and welcomed. The food was also excellent and similar to a tasting/fine dining experience.

I visited the restaurant, they serve delicious dishes, with a good atmosphere. It's seems a family business and the owners family is very pleasant and friendly people. We enjoyed a lot with both the food and the atmosphere! Regards to their chef!

Visited this restaurant for lunch with a family. The seating on the terrace is great, right by the lake. The service is great - friendly and amazingly fast! Our orders arrived almost instantly despite there being quite a number of other guests. The food is great. The prices are moderate, and the food is delicious and inventive. The fish isn’t overlooked, as it usually happens in restaurants at busy lunchtime. The beef cuts are of a very high quality, and if you like goats cheese, you must try their warm goats cheese salad! All in all, very highly recommended.
Andris L — Google review
Set directly onto the side of one of the largest freshwater lakes in France. The view is amazing and this hotel would suit a romantic week-end. Seating area is outside or in for eating . The menus reflect local cuisine of fish, meat or veggie. Yum! Wine list offers choice and price and you will not feel "stung". Owners and staff are attentive, professional and very friendly. We loved them! We did not have a chance to look at the bedrooms, but based on the owners attention to detail, I suspect they will be first class. In the top ten of my favourite French Hotels. Amazing place and people.
Andrew C — Google review
Extremely expensive for a room with no air condition (when there are summer days of more than 40 degrees Celsius). The room is clean, the toilet unfortunately has the water tank in the room tough which makes a lot of noise during the night. The smell from the kitchen goes a lot in the rooms after 6 pm which makes it quite uncomfortable if one wants to sit on the balcony and enjoy the view. Food was pretty bad, so even if we had dinner included we choose to pay extra and eat elsewhere. To avoid.
Kristina S — Google review
Everything was perfect! The owners, the service, the food, the view, the quiet... We spent a full week and wished we had been able to stay longer! Nice people and wonderful place to rest and swim and rest and swim 😎😁🙏

The place is conveniently located near the beach and near the center in the same time. The patron was very friendly, trying to give attention to all guests, despite the fact that the place was full. Recommended without hesitation.

Over priced and cannot recommend to go for the Crêpes, they were cold and didn’t taste good. The waiters were not friendly and in a bad mood. First one star review on google maps, I hope this can help you get something worth your money between two surfing/beach sessions.

Serves lovely local beers. The bar had suffered severe flooding after a storm hit Biscarosse a few days prior and was unable to serve draught beer. The waiter was very smiley and chatty.

SUCKS - DONT GO! DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!! DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!! GO ELSEWHERE!!VILE OWNER AND MANAGER!! MEAN TO STAFF AND PATRONS. VERY NASTY AND SNOTTY. Ages before host comes by to take an order and then SNOTTY at that! We left and went down the street and it was 1000% better. THEY ACT LIKE THEY DONT NEED YOUR MONEY SO DONT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY. And they deserve ZERO stars! I would NEVER EVER set foot in that place again!

Everything was substandard. The prawns (which you peel yourself) were full of guts, oysters served over melted ice and no proper implements provided for eating the shelfish. Pasta was overcooked and tasteless, octopus was chewey and served with random/overcooked veg, the burger bun was soggy... Very disappointing for the price.

Food was okay - but that's it. Unfortunately we had to wait 10 minutes to order drinks, 5 minutes to order food and when we wanted to pay we had to wait another 15 minutes. It appears that the owner is constantly checking on his staff. He suddenly started to take chairs and tables to place them elsewhere - it made a lot of noise.

Fantastic staff, delicious food. Everything in the sea on a plate.

Nice Spot to hang out. But you need to wait few minutes longer for service. The toilet was not clean. The waitress wasn't able to speak english.

L'annexe is a charming, small restaurant that offers a laid-back atmosphere and a terrace for guests to enjoy. The menu features housemade specialties with a creative twist, including dishes from both land and sea. Visitors have praised the attentive service and delicious food, noting the beautifully presented and prepared meals. Despite its unassuming exterior, the restaurant surprises diners with its excellent cuisine. It's definitely worth a visit for those seeking high-quality dining in a relaxed setting.
As a vegan I wouldn’t have thought of visiting this restaurant but after a recommendation and calling the restaurant they were able to create the most delicious vegan options for me. The owner was really kind and attentive and always able to check if they could accommodate more options. We’ll definitely be back and would recommended to vegans (maybe call ahead of time to advise them so they can be ready for you!)

Don't be deceived by the exterior of this unassuming restaurant, the food contained inside is absolutely amazing. Five stars all around. The staff is wonderful. The food is presented as a piece of art. The flavours are great and the food is cooked to perfection!!!! Highly recommend you stop in and try the menu.

We visited from Bordeaux and are so glad we did. Our dinner was absolutely amazing. Everything was delicious and prepared so well. Highly, highly recommend.

Thank you for a wonderful meal yesterday evening. Beautiful food, excellently presented. The red mousse was mind-blowing (and hot) all the combinations of flavours for all 3 of us eating impressed more than you can imagine. 9 dishes returned empty on completion tells you everything about this great restaurant. We all loved it!! Congratulations I hope you are busy every service. You deserve it.

Second time we have visited this restaurant and it did not disappoint. Excellent food with very imaginative presentation, Wonderful atmosphere and superb service what more could we ask for. Will definitely be back.

The food was excellent and the presentation super. I wouldn’t have guessed what fine food was inside based on the restaurant appearance on the outside. Don’t judge a book by its cover.

Le Grand Hôtel de la Plage Biscarrosse

Nestled right by the ocean, Le Grand Hôtel de la Plage in Biscarrosse is a stunning modern retreat that offers guests breathtaking views and direct beach access. The hotel boasts elegantly designed rooms equipped with air conditioning, parquet flooring, and amenities like minibars and coffee machines for your convenience. Guests can indulge in a delightful buffet breakfast featuring French pastries, cheeses, and hams each morning.
From the moment I arrived, I felt welcome and relaxed. The room was cozy and spotless, and the view from the balcony was just breathtaking. Staff were polite and attentive without being intrusive. A perfect place to unwind!☺️

Stayed here in August for 3 nights. The hotel is in an amazing location. Just on the hill in Biscarrosse overlooking the sea. Lots of things to do in the local area. The rooms were ok, clean and modern but every afternoon once the kitchen started up, the air conditioning would kick out a smell of fish into the room which was most unpleasant. There is a nice small pool. The staff were friendly except for the manager who we had a very unpleasant dealing with. We were having our own lunch outside our room (admittedly this was a mistake to do looking back) and the manager came over and was so rude to our group, it really ruined the last day and a half we spent there. There was no need to be so rude, a simple "I'm sorry but you can't eat your own food here" would have been fine but he went so over the top. We had kids with us and the restaurant food was not right for kids (and overpriced), but there is no reason to be rude infront of them. If that is how you treat your guests then you must not want any more to come.

The location of the hotel is excellent. We watched the ocean waves from the room window, enjoyed its power. The receptionist worked competently and politely.

Always a pleasure, we have returned for the 4th time now and it's always a wow moment, excellent service, fantastic location and a ocean to dream off.

This 4 star hotel had its problems. Due to cliff erosion most of the outside spaces were restricted. The beach below inaccessible. Some of the staff had a poor attitude in the way they addressed this problem. The restaurant and bar was closed for the first 2 days of our visit, and although very inconvenient no compensation was made. However the room was beautifully appointed and extremely clean and the room servicing team were very efficient, pleasant and thorough.

Situated on top of the dune this hotel offers a great view on the Atlantic ocean. We had a room with a terrasse and enjoyed that look a lot. Good beds, room quite good. Breakfast is ok, but not extraordinary for the price. Service at the bar in the evening is really lame, there were 4 other tables occupied, two guys (not) serving didn't get two drinks on the table within half an hour. We didn't have lunch or dinner there as there are several beach restaurants only minutes walks away, which we prefer to hotel meals. You pay for the gorgeous view, the rest of the hotel is ok, but without the view it would be too expensive for what you get.

I had to cancel my room reservation at this hotel, because they refused to accommodate my diet wishes. As I understood, they’re a south-western French restaurant with no ambition of serving anything else. At some point, they stopped answering my questions. If you’re a vegan/vegetarian person, or simply value costumer service and inclusion, you may wanna skip this place.

Fabulous setting. Clean room. Small but cleverly designed to fit everything you need. The terrace was a bonus. Comfortable loungers and a sunshade. The restaurant was totally disappointing as it served the same limited menu everyday and was over priced. The staff were friendly and efficient. Breakfast was good although the food on the hot plates was cold. It is the setting that saves this hotel. Direct access to the beach and sea view. I enjoyed sleeping with the window open listening to the sound of the waves. I think this is a very expensive hotel.

This spot is awesome 🤙🏽 You can drink a beer and see the sunset at the same time ! You are just upside the ocean ! Good music, good staff, good view ! 💥🤙🏽 Ps: I suggest you park your car more in the city, or close to the skatepark if you want to come during the sunset time !

Great lunch experience yesterday. From the moment we sat down we were greeted with a smiling wait staff. The menu had a nice variety of local cuisine at a very fair price. The classic country music playing throughout the day was also a nice touch and memories from back home. The views are incredible. Definitely worth a stop if you are in the area and looking for a nice meal with great sea views. We will be back. Thanks again

It has reopened. Not sure why it is saying that the resto is still open. The site it was on is being restored to it’s natural state. Today it is gone. Maybe it will be somewhere else in Biscarrosse Plage when the season opens. Photo is of where it used to be taken today. 12 June 2025 It Has reopened

Bordeaux Airport

International airport
Airport
Regional airport
Bordeaux Airport, also known as "billi" Terminal for low-cost airlines, is an international airport conveniently connected to the city by local buses and shuttles to/from the main train station. The airport offers easy access to Bordeaux, a must-see city in the region. Additionally, it features a well-designed golf course with raised and technical greens. While the newer terminal may have limited seating and space at the gates, plans for a tram or rail connection from Bordeaux are underway.
Bordeaux Airport is a clean, well-organised airport that’s easy to get around. It’s on the smaller side, which makes the whole experience much more relaxed compared to larger airports. There’s a small but handy selection of cafés and shops to grab a bite or a few essentials before flying. The staff were all friendly and helpful, which made the journey smooth from start to finish.

We have seen half of area is in construction, and that inconvenient things are apparently happen here. Passengers feel uncomfortable due to not enough space for crowd people, not enough toilets, small monitors, no aerobridge, and etc.
Daud — Google review
My recent experience at Bordeaux Airport was nothing short of frustrating and disappointing. Although the terminal officially opened at 4:00 AM, no Air France staff appeared at the check-in counters for almost 40 minutes. The line of travelers quickly grew to extend out the door, and yet there was zero urgency from staff. Even more frustrating was witnessing multiple employees behind the desks who appeared to be socializing rather than assisting passengers. There was a clear lack of organization and leadership, especially during the early morning rush when efficiency matters most. To make matters worse: - The bathrooms were filthy and in need of serious cleaning. - The card reader at the café was down, leaving people unable to make purchases unless they had cash. - There was no clear signage or announcements to help passengers navigate the delay or understand what was happening. The airport’s poor service, lack of cleanliness, and disorganized operations set a negative tone for what should have been a smooth departure. For an international travel hub, this level of service is unacceptable in my opinion. I hope Bordeaux Airport takes this feedback seriously and works on improving staffing efficiency, cleanliness, and customer communication, especially because this experience felt more like chaos than travel.

Arrivals were clean, simple, quick and easy to get to onward travel whether that be bud, tram or rental car. Departures on the other hand is a very different story. Quick and easy luggage drop in Billi’ then had to move to ‘Hall A’. Security were more interested in their own conversations than helping travellers and seemed very lacklustre in checking carry on/ customers. The terminal can best be described as baron. We had the choice of a tiny cafe or duty free shop. We were told there were more eateries past border control. Once let through, no where was open and passengers were not allowed back through to the only open cafe. Young parents and vulnerable passengers had to use a vending machine by the gate. Toilets were spacious and clean, as was the terminal, this is no mean feat however as there is nothing to keep tidy as it’s empty. EasyJet should review flight times if services within their terminals close abnormally early. Shame for such a lovely city and surrounding area to visit.
Tom C — Google review
This airport is simply okay. There was nothing fundamentally wrong, but equally nothing to make it stand out. Facilties are very basic but being a small airport it is quick to get through to airside. Handy there is a tram service right outside. If you get a late flight be warned that facilties may be closed and you risk being thrown out at closing time.
Keith H — Google review
The seating areas are insufficient, and you end up waiting for a spot constantly. Security checkpoints are limited, which leads to long waiting times. Overall, the airport is clean, but the number of restrooms is inadequate. Waiting seems to be a constant theme here. Since Ryanair pulled out, there are very few destinations available, and ticket prices have skyrocketed. This airport really needs improvements, but unfortunately, it seems to be going in the opposite direction. Hopefully, it can develop and offer a better experience in the future.
Abdulbaki K — Google review
I would give it 0. This airport is not designed for people! Multi-level long corridors, bathrooms are available only right after the control, but they are not close to the gates! Look at this wonderful dyson dryer that flows the water right in your face! No caffeteria after the control, only vending machines. But the worst thing is the splitting of gates into intra-EU and extra-EU flights. The gates <10-14 and 80-83> (if I remember the numbers correctly) are designated for extra-EU flights, but the the sign is perceived rather as 10-83 gates. There is pass control zone, and I had strong doubts that I have to pass it by travelling within Europe. I asked the controller if I should go, and she confirmed! Of course, there was no my gate. But now, I have the wrong stamp in my passport and probably must change it! This is not easy to do at all!
Olga M — Google review
This is the worst airport I have ever been to. Over crowded to the point of danger. Staff are so rude the only explicable explanation is that they were all sent to a week long course on how to be rude. Scanners from the 1980s that take so long to scan they make everyone late. You'd be better off getting a bus or train and flying from somewhere that won't shave several years of life expectancy from you.
