El Preferido de Palermo

Restaurant
El Preferido de Palermo has a fascinating history that dates back to the early 20th century, when it was a popular grocery store frequented by tango singers, poets, artists, and gauchos. Over the years, the space has been restored by the Zoppi family, uncovering a treasure of old memories and a wine cellar with more than 2.
Really good service! Natasha, our waitress, was very attentive and super nice. The food was delicious and the portions were generous. We shared everything and left feeling full :) It is on the expensive side, but both the food and the service are totally worth it.

Located in Palermo, one of the most well-known neighborhoods in Buenos Aires, this restaurant is a must-visit. It offers local charm, excellent service, a warm, welcoming atmosphere, and most importantly, delicious Argentine gastronomy and a great wine selection. Reservation is a must there are two options: outside terrace and indoors. Added to my fav’s list. 😉
Catalina B — Google review
I stopped by for an early dinner without a reservation, and the front desk staff was super friendly—they gave me a few different seating options to choose from, which was great. I ordered a gin and tonic and got to pick from a nice list of gins. For food, I went with the Canelones, and they were amazing—especially with the tasty red sauce. I finished with the flan, which was the perfect classic dessert. Service was awesome—my server, Rodrigo, was really helpful, gave great suggestions, and made the whole visit totally worth it.

We just dropped by and had our light lunch. The blood sausage is incredibly delicious. Salad is very nicely seasoned and bread with lemon olives oil is a nice touch. Lemonade is very refreshing and tasty. Tortillas is okay. In general, price is slightly higher but a great experience.

Without a doubt an absolute MUST for Buenos Aires! We arrived on a Monday at 7:30pm, the staff were so attentive and without a reservation we waited for about 20min only which was fine, especially as they give you a waiting drink, delish! We were seated at the bar which I would highly recommend because watching the Chefs in action was a work of art. We saw every dish coming out and it was perfection, and everything we ordered tasted amazing, I wish we could have ordered more and hope we can come back before we leave. Complementary housemade bread and olives to start, so classy. Wine from Mendoza was delish and then as a surprise (because the chefs probably saw how much we were enjoying ourselves) they gave us desert on the house which was the cherry on top! If we were locals, this would be our weekly spot!!

Loved this place Fabulously friendly and efficient staff . Great vibe punching out fabulous food. At El Preferido de Palermo, the Milanesa I ordered was a full of texture and flavour, Accompanied by a fresh grilled asparagus. Washed down by a couple of excellent wines . This place merits the attention of those who appreciate good food cooked well and fine dining and a cool friendly ambiance.
Graham A — Google review
El preferido de palermo was my first ever experience in a restaurant in Buenos Aires, and I didn't disappoint. The welcome bread, olives, and olive oil had an incredible taste I had never tasted in America. Everything was made with so much care, and the flavor of the food was outstanding. The staff was very knowledgeable and offered wine that paired well with our food. I would definitely come back again!!
Pavel C — Google review
Incredible place. We came to celebrate my sister's birthday and had a great time. All the food was insanely good, especially the chips, the olive oil, and the complimentary freshly baked bum-shaped bread. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. The sommelier helped us a lot with choosing a wine and even let us try before we buy. Would definitely come back!

Don Julio Parrilla

Restaurant
Don Julio is a renowned steakhouse in Argentina, celebrated for its classic steaks, local dishes, and extensive wine selection within an intimate setting. The restaurant has garnered global recognition, securing a notable 18th place in the 50 Best Restaurants in the world ranking for 2023. Specializing in grass-fed Aberdeen Angus and Hereford cattle beef aged for at least 21 days, Don Julio offers an exceptional dining experience.
From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a glass of sparkling wine and a warm welcome that immediately made us feel happy and at ease. I had booked a table for two at noon on a weekday, and by the time we got there, the restaurant was already nearly full—always a good sign. The starters and bread were delightful, bringing a sense of joy and anticipation while we waited for the main dishes. We ordered the grilled cheese, salad, and a 500g medium-rare ribeye. I was truly impressed by the steak—perfectly cooked with a beautifully smoked crust, while the inside remained incredibly tender. Highly recommended for both its outstanding food and attentive service!
Wei S — Google review
Great food and great service. We had a reservation but asked to move it earlier, and they kindly accommodated us — though we sat outside, which we didn’t mind. The staff were friendly and attentive. The ojo de bife was huge, easily enough for 3–4 people. Overall, excellent experience — if you’re a true steak fan, you’ll notice the quality difference; if not, it might just feel like another good steak. Still worth it for the experience, just a bit on the pricey side.
Lance F — Google review
This place has a lot of hype but we really felt it lived up to it and was worth the price. I could only get a booking for 11.30am online and even at that you queue. But they gave sparkling wine and empanadas while waiting. We were seated outside on white table cloth. Wouldn't have been my preference but was still nice and classy. We were given a few "free" bits including nice breads with a type of salsa and there are nice salsas and chimichuri sauces kept on the table. We decided to get a few starters (sausage and morcilla) and an entrecote steak to share with chips and a nice bottle of malbec. All really beautiful and the feature of the steak cut next to you is class. All really beautiful. The post main part is a little slower and less attentive service though they had some nice features like giving a free ice cream after ordering one. I also got coffee. Overall came to c $260,000 (€150) which I felt was worth it for what it was.
RFDug — Google review
We were thrilled to get a seat at the number one steakhouse — ranked best three years in a row and a proud Michelin-star holder! There were some mixed reviews online, but coming all the way from Southeast Asia, we were so eager to try this famous establishment. We managed to get a lunch reservation, and while waiting, they served complimentary empanadas and wine — such a nice touch. The service was excellent and the staff were superb. We ordered the entrecôte (which costs about three-quarters less than back home!) and it was absolutely AMAZING — so flavorful and tender that we ended up ordering a second one. The mashed potatoes were also delightful. If you get the chance, do yourself a favor and try this place — it’s that good!
Debby D — Google review
You definitely need a reservation for this place as it’s always busy. Even with a reservation, expect to wait a little before being seated, but they make the wait enjoyable by serving champagne outside. We ordered the tomahawk steak, and it was cooked to perfection, the only steakhouse in Argentina where we felt they nailed it perfectly. The food overall was okay and we were a bit surprised that it ranks among the top steakhouses in the world. What truly set the experience apart was the service, easily the best we’ve ever had anywhere. The staff made the entire experience feel special. Overall, we had a great time. The exceptional service alone makes Don Julio worth a visit, even if the food didn’t fully match its world-class reputation.
Ghazal L — Google review
The freshly baked bread served with olive oil and green cheese? I'd quite special. We tried a few appetitizer and enjoyed them all - the chitterlings are chewy and spongey, grilled cheese smells and tastes good. The veg dishes of pedimento and mushroom are juicy and tasty. The rib eye steak lives up to the standard. The waiters at the table are overall attentive. In terms of critique, the seating is crowded for the standard of fine dining however. The restaurant reception subtly gives the sensel that the restaurant, no. 10 in the world with one Michelin star, is in hot demand that they have more customers than they can serve. Overall it is a great experience.
Olivia T — Google review
Exceptional quality meat, but the experience didn’t quite live up to the reputation or price. We ordered a flank steak (medium-rare), a ribeye (medium-rare), mashed potatoes, and mushrooms. The flank steak arrived unevenly cooked (at parts medium / medium-well), the ribeye was rare, the mashed potatoes were buttery but under-seasoned, and the mushrooms were good but not exceptional. We appreciated the service upon joining the line at open - they passed around glasses of bubbly wine. We did not indulge, as it was early in the day, but we appreciated the sentiment nonetheless. We regret not ordering the fries — they looked amazing as they arrived at other tables. We’ve since been chasing that same fry experience elsewhere after Don Julio, but alas…
Karen F — Google review
We came here twice during our visit to Buenos Aires. I think combining the food, wine list and the service they all do the justice of their fame! I’m not a big steak fan but this one was good. But they got me with the little empanadas they serve while you are waiting for your table! I could just eat them forever! Definitely an experience to have in the city!

Mishiguene

Mentioned on

$$$$very expensive
Fine dining restaurant
Mishiguene is a restaurant that offers a modern take on Jewish immigrant cuisine in Buenos Aires. The chef, Tomas Kalika, aims to bring upscale Jewish dining to the city by presenting a menu that reflects Ashkenazi, Sephardic, Israeli, and Middle Eastern food traditions. The cozy ambiance of the restaurant is filled with animated crowds and adorned with photographs.
Fantastic tasting menu! I sat at the bar, and service was very attentive and prompt, the restaurant was beautiful and dimly lit. The tasting menu came with a welcome cocktail which was refreshing and I also opted for the wine pairing to go with the tasting menu. The flavors were big, bold and quite rich, the wine pairing was well done, and the plating was spectacular! After dessert they also included coffee or tea and petit fours arranged on a beautiful plate of aromatics. I loved the flavors of each course, but I will say the only one I had any critique on was the main course of the pastrami over risotto. The pastrami and the risotto were both rich and flavorful, and I loved each one on their own, but together it was a bit much. Since the pastrami was already on the salty side (as expected with pastrami), I would have preferred something lighter and with a more subtle or contrasting flavor to accompany it. Also, I never thought I would ever say something like this because I can eat a lot, but I actually struggled with the huge portion sizes for each course! Typically tasting menus leave me feeling just right or sometimes hungry (if the bites were too small) but each course here was like the size of a shared appetizer x 6! It didn’t help that the food here was so good that I ate the entire first two courses (plus some of the yummy fresh breads) and ended up being too full to finish the rest of my food and wine, that I could only handle a bite or two from the remaining 4 courses. Fortunately, they were kind enough to pack up my leftovers (who has leftovers from a tasting menu?!) because I wanted to enjoy the rest of it, and I certainly did at home today! TIP: If getting the tasting menu, come hungry and pace yourself, no matter how good everything is! It was totally worth what I paid for and I highly highly recommend this place!

Muy bien!!! I am a very picky American 💁‍♀️😅 and we had the best meal here!!! Everything was delicious! 😋 so flavorful and the atmosphere and service?! Out of this world! 😍🙏🙌 a big thank you to Abel the maître d' - his passion and knowledge is like no other!! He knows his stuff and will not steer you wrong! Also thank you to Mariano for his professionalism and kindness! I’m so happy we came here and had the best diner 🙏

Extremely expensive prices for mediocre food. The pastrami ribs costs ARS120,000 and described as “Our signature house recipe: beef ribs dry-cured for 10 days with salt herbs, and spices. Seasoned with ras el hanout, smoked for 4 hours over wood and steamed for 14 hours.” However, it tastes just very basic and too fatty. The risotto with truffles part was way better. The martini was the best part of the meal. Service is a big let down. We weren’t offered any bread although other tables were. Waiters seemed very annoyed even though we were the only diners at the restaurant. Service was also slow. Very slow. Overall there are so many better restaurants in BA. I wanted to like the food and concept but it’s just not worth it.

This well hidden Michelin Reataurant in Palermo is a real gem. It is immigrant Jewish cuisine made into an art, elevated with flavours that you would not really expect. Truly exceptional food. Service is friendly and diligent. Environment inside is modern chique and the terrace is a great place from November to April. Please try the entraña and the hinojo salad. Ultimately the star dish, which does not disappoint, is the Pastrami on the bone with bulgur risotto. Do make a reservation the place is always fully booked.

Reservations are easy online - booked several months in advance. The day of the host will contact you on WhatsApp with a generic message letting you know punctuality is important and that our reservation is only for 1.5 hours. Due to traffic unpredictability and rain and arrived 15 minutes early - while in the Uber I messaged them to ask if possible we could come in earlier due to the rain. No warm or anything in the response - 'Open 19hrs' that's it. When we got there all the staff greeted or made eye contact with us. The staff and servers had trouble understanding English and our main server spent more time chatting with his colleagues than attending to us - if they want us out in 1.5 hours - why does it take 10+ mins to get our check? Chicken hearts - cooked to perfection and sop up all the sauce. With every calorie and penny. The breads and hummus - nothing special. Good raisin Challah and the onion/chicken fat was good. The server said we had to order two entrees because they are too small to share. Untrue and we had a ton of leftovers. The second entree so forgettable I have a photo but forgot what we ate. The duck was rubbery - reduction was nice. Came with rice and veg. We were stuffed at this point but I always like to try it fresh before boxing it up. Good thing I did - the rice was RAW. Sorry 1 Michelin star or $ place, I have NEVER been served raw rice. They looked skeptical of our claim and minimally apologetic after it was confirmed by the kitchen. No discount, nothing complimentary to compensate us for the time lost - just recooked the rice (they prob doubled the portion?). Dark moody ambiance, the music was frantic and loud in the beginning but mellowed out later. Unique china sets. It was a lot of effort dining here - we felt like it was a favor to be allowed to dine here. Lack of attention - we felt the need to check our to-go bag and indeed it was missing the bread. I think the approach in the hospitality is lacking here and a touch of humility is needed.

Over-engineered food Food: All the food we took was different from what was stated in the menu, it was re-engineered. Like baba ganoush was not a paste, but a whole eggplant under tahini sauce. Latkis was a huge block. Vareniki are 6 pieces under a fist amount of fried onion. And everything was extremely salty, to the point I've choked. We did not finish all the main dishes and decided to not take the rest out. Service: it seemed nice, but I was a bit uncomfortable that the table was not cleaned after we finished the bread basket. When we asked for the bill the waiter started collecting dishes without asking if we have finished. And finally when we were leaving a waiter counted the money in front of us and stopped us to say that the tip is not included (we have left 200k with the bill of 189k). I guess a mistake but I felt uncomfortable staying in the middle and being questioned for the tip. For this prices I hope they can be nicer in the attitude, not only in smiles. Atmosphere: it was nice. We were sitting outside. I might be petty but again, candles were lit on the couple of tables, on the couple were not. I strongly believe that the overall impression is actually created by the small details. Still we had a good time. Overall, it's a mid-expensive place (189k for 4 bottles of water, 3 main dishes, 3 starters) which over complicates the food without delivery in taste. As always I suggest you to go and try yourself as everyone's taste buds are different or maybe it was an unlucky visit for me. Just don't have a lot of expectations.
Tatiana K — Google review
Mishiguene is a must-visit! We tried the tasting menu, and every dish was outstanding. The service was impeccable, and the food—simply exceptional. The pastrami rivals the best from NYC, and the varenikes were delicious. A fantastic fusion of Ashkenazi and Israeli flavors with a modern twist. Totally recommend
Ozzie G — Google review
Good experience for a fine dining restaurant. I liked the attention of the waiters. Their interpretation of classic dishes like hummus and babaganoush was very interesting. They were able to extract so much flavor and combine that with some other interesting ingredients. The 6 course menu funnily enough makes you too full. They could dial down on the dishes size by 15% as by the dessert I was almost easy to give up on eating. Good experience overall

Restaurant
La Carnicería, located in the lively Palermo Soho neighborhood of Buenos Aires, was founded by chef Pedro Pena and his partner German Sitz with a focus on meat-centric parrilla cuisine. Sitz, hailing from a family of Jewish immigrant cattle farmers in La Pampa province, sources grass-raised beef exclusively from his family estate Los Abuelos.
A small but excellent restaurant in the Palermo neighborhood. The sausages as a starter were the highlight. The meat was excellent. Great service. A must-try for anyone wanting to venture into Argentina.

Sat at the bar and had excellent service; was served by the manager. All the food was amazing, the only part it felt short was that the deer was raw; however, he did tell me that he can’t cook it more or less before I ordered it, but I wasn’t expecting it to be this raw, I fly back tomorrow so can’t risk any issues otherwise I’d have eaten it - I should have gotten the strip instead. Would def come back - but not order the deer :) If I could - I’d also order their break and bone marrow as a bigger appetizer. It was delicious.
Zeeshan S — Google review
Phenomenal experience. All of the food was delicious, from the chorizo to the rib eye. The staff is friendly and helpful. Atmosphere is pleasant and we enjoyed watching the chef cook the steaks in the open fire grill.
Jacob A — Google review
We had a great experience here. Very delicious meat, excellent service - attentive, helpful, friendly. Everything tasted really good, we loved it! A big surprise was the bone marrow as appetizer with the homemade bread - so good! And the desserts were a good finish. We would come back anytime.
Franziska S — Google review
Excellent meat quality, but it wasn't evenly cooked, parts of the same cut were dry and leather, others were tender and juicy. The chorizo and morcilla sausages were good, but the stuff on the side felt redundant. The French fries, not my thing, were excellent. Good amount of food. The staff was too busy and slow.
Javier K — Google review
This is one of my favorite restaurant anywhere. Spectacular food, friendly and attentive service even when the place is packed. I hate there 3 times and every time it was absolutely lovely. The steak, the beef rib, the sweetbreads, the bone marrow, everything was world class. For sure, when I get back to Buenos Aires, I'm stopping by for another of these meals I'll remember for a long long time.

It was a shock what happened to me… i was there before they opened when they were open I was the second person to be seated on the bar which I can see everything the staff was so friendly and welcoming however the chef had some problem with me I can’t understand it until now my steak took one hour and 20 minutes to be served to me people who came after me by 20 minutes and seated got there steak before me and the chief made sure that i got the worse one cut and size!!! A message to the chef you can’t judge people by the way they look or by the way they like their meat cooked this is a terrible way to treat your customers in a place which was the winner of a Michelin star of 2024 I went out of my way to give a 20% tip because of your wonderful staff which honestly you don’t deserve them… was there on 10/30/2025 and will never come again.

Barbecue restaurant
Located in the lively city of Palermo, La Cabrera is a popular Argentinian grill known for its wide variety of high-quality cuts of meat. From boneless ribeye to grilled gizzards and braised pork shoulder, the restaurant offers an array of traditional dishes. What sets La Cabrera apart are the generous side dishes that accompany the beef, including mashed potatoes, quail eggs, zucchinis, and sweet corn.
Genuinely very impressed! They offer a dinner deal with 40% off at certain times, which makes it amazing value. All of the steaks were absolutely delicious—perfectly cooked and full of flavour. The sides were just as impressive, and there’s a lovely selection of wines to choose from. We left absolutely stuffed and very happy. It was genuinely so worth it—highly recommend!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ La Cabrera is an absolute must-visit in Buenos Aires! 🇦🇷 The atmosphere is lively and full of local charm, and the service is friendly and attentive from start to finish. The steaks were cooked to perfection — tender, juicy, and bursting with flavour — easily some of the best we’ve ever had! 🥩🔥 The selection of side dishes and sauces was outstanding, and the generous portions make it great value for money. We loved the complimentary appetisers and desserts — such a thoughtful touch. If you’re visiting Buenos Aires and want to experience authentic Argentine cuisine in a warm and vibrant setting, La Cabrera should be at the top of your list. ❤️

Had a lovely diner here. Was (pleasantly!) surprised by the Happy Hour discount -30% for diner between 18.30-20.00. Service was really good! Food wise it was possible to share dishes or eat half a portion, which was great. Salads as a side dish are also very good ánd huge, so easy to share. Am very pleased that I have visited this place, will come back!

we ordered the Argentinean meat, 3/5 in my opinion. maybe the entrana would be a better choice. waiters only arrive at 8pm for dinner so going early to secure a table if you have no reservations.
小號K — Google review
We ate here recently and throughly enjoyed the food, the steak was one of the best I’ve eaten. And the service was very attentive and friendly too. Plus the prices are decent, especially during the happy hour. Maybe a bit picky but only 4 stars because… * We sat outside as it was the 40% off happy hour so was very busy. Not a problem, but the heating lamp didn’t work and it was August so it was uncomfortably cold. They need to fix the heater. * I allowed the waiter to talk me into ordering less steak (he was quite persistent), so was still hungry at the end. The customer is always right. 🙂 * I ordered a can of beer and it arrived in a half-full glass because it was only half the can. I don’t know what they did with the other half. When I got a second can of beer I poured it myself and it filled the glass to the very top.

La Cabrera is the kind of place where everything just turns out right. They have been at it for years and it shows. The staff are experienced and attentive, the atmosphere has that classic Buenos Aires charm, and the food is exactly what you hope for in a traditional parrilla. The steak was cooked perfectly, the fries were crispy, and the empanadas were excellent. Portions are generous, flavors are authentic, and the overall experience lives up to the reputation. Set in the heart of Palermo, one of the city’s most vibrant neighborhoods, La Cabrera makes for a perfect night out. Palermo is known for its lively mix of cafés, bars, and restaurants, and this spot is one of the standouts. A great combination of quality food, professional service, and a location full of energy. No complaints, just a memorable Buenos Aires dining experience.

Argentinian restaurant
Creole restaurant
El Sanjuanino is a popular spot for both locals and tourists looking to savor authentic Argentine cuisine in a cozy and traditional setting. The restaurant's decor reflects the rich history and traditions of Argentina, creating an immersive dining experience. The menu features classic dishes such as locro, empanadas, grilled meats, and more at great prices. The waitstaff adds to the lively atmosphere by engaging with patrons in multiple languages. It's recommended to share dishes due to generous portions.
Great service from all the waiters who were all very friendly and helpful. The first visit we ate empanadas: the picante was superb and so too were the Caprese, and the blue cheese. Those were washed down with a Quilmes Clásica, which is a great lager. We went back that evening for bife steak, which was an eye-opening and belly-filling delight: huge and cooked to perfection, with the chips being proper chips (like in England). The house red slipped down a treat (apparently, it was a small glass but in England it would be charged as a large!) For our third visit in three days (yes, the food really was that good), we enjoyed the locro and Milanese. Again, lip-smackingly good. The restaurant is really cosy, especially downstairs, and we will visit again the next time we're in Buenos Aires. Great quality and the prices are very reasonable.

Such a beautiful place. A very cosy and traditional atmosphere, incredible, attentive service and beautiful waiters, one of which would walk around laughing and singing and do a little dance here and there. Delicious, authentic food. I'm so glad I made it here on my last day, don't skip this place!

We had asked a taxi driver for his favorite emapanada place, and this was his answer. Then followed up with his favorite one, to which he replied, the vegetarian one. For me, a vegetarian, I was ecstatic! It was absolutely delicious!!! There are several different vegetarian options, all quite delicious! The service was great and I went back a few times during my stay!! Great place to eat!

El Sanjuanino is the best spot for on-the-go empanadas! Our local guide recommended buying them here and he was 10/10. They were piping hot, crispy and filled to the brim. Each cost just $2.50 USD. Buy a few and bring to the nearby park area in Recoleta. Highly recommend for travelers!

I had the locro and tamale and spaghetti bolognese. The locro was sooo good if you don’t mind bones - I loved it. The tamal was kinda dry. The spaghetti was overcooked mush - do not order this

South American restaurant
Elena, located in the luxurious Four Seasons Hotel in Buenos Aires, offers an upscale dining experience with classic Argentine flavors. This renowned restaurant is celebrated for its savory Buenos Aires cuisine and is a favorite among locals and travelers alike. The establishment exudes a South American ambiance with antique decor and artisanal furnishings, making it an ideal setting for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or even a late-night drink.
Four Seasons stays winning. They stay consistent and has yet to fail me. This was recommended by people I spoke to and my brother in law, an Argentinian. We walked in with no reservation. The lady out front' led us in. There are two other options inside. I checked in and was greeted by the nice hostess who let us sit in the waiting area as they prepared our table. The vibes inside gave classic olden times. We were here for it. I loved that I could see the sky when I looked up. I made a classic booboo and mentioned wanting fernet and coke cos that was what everyone was drinking at the futbol game the day before. The guy was like no. He then proceeded to make us a fernet cocktail. As we had so much steak the say before, we opted for the smaller size here. We got the ribeye. Paired with it was their amazing mushroom dish served in a skillet. My god. That was the best thing I ate that day. We also got the pasta. So damn good. The 3 went perfectly together. They do give a starter bite and post dessert bites. Those paired with our cappuccino nicely. The staff here was 10/10 - the FS standard. The other locations I've been fortunate enough to visit had just as equally amazing service. It's why I stay making it a point to visit one wherever I am.

Amazing. Been there twice in my 5 days trip in Buenos Aires and I really recommend. - Found their 2 tempo menu pretty good with a good price. - Service is great. - Meat was pretty good. Meat in Buenos Aires is in general pretty good, but here you have high standards. So your expectations should be headed toward fine dinning, not the regular parrillas.

The food was absolutely fantastic, and the service outstanding. The waiters were not only professional but also impressively knowledgeable — they took the time to explain each dish in detail, from the appetizers all the way to dessert. I started with shrimp served with falafel, followed by pacu fish, and honestly, I can’t decide which course was better — everything was perfectly prepared and beautifully presented. For dessert, I had a traditional Argentine Balcarce, but with a light and refreshing lemon twist — a wonderful finish to the meal. The only downside had nothing to do with the restaurant itself: one guest at a nearby table was quite rude, interrupting the waitress while she was describing the desserts to me. Of course, you can’t choose your guests, but I have to give extra credit to the experienced waitress who handled the situation gracefully and professionally. Overall, an unforgettable experience — highly recommended!

I didn’t get to take many photos since I was at a formal event, but the food was amazing. The dry-aged meats are incredibly tender and flavorful. The Burrata and pasta dishes have a unique, delicious taste. The only downside was that the service didn’t quite meet the expectations for a restaurant of this caliber

The only good thing is the arroz, the rests are average. Steak was disappointing, we ordered wagyu T bone, and it’s not properly cooked. They tried to fix it but still not up to the standard. The service table was nice, but the food doesn’t justify the whole experience.

We ended up having the three main meals at Elena despite my dislike of dining at a hotel. What great decisions we made! ATMOSPHERE: Elena is this Four Seasons' main restaurant located on the lobby level. Decor is a mix of contemporary and French Quarter, with an open-view kitchen and seating on two levels. A dry-aging refrigerator is showcased up front with a wine cellar on the second floor. LUNCH MENU: Apps, salads, charcuterie, pasta, poultry, meats, fish. FOOD: Sautéed Shrimp Four good-sized shrimp were stir fried, sat over a bed of creamy-savory red cabbage and topped with French fried onions. Tasty app but the shrimp could've been charred better to give it a more appetizing texture. Elena's Caesar Salad An overly generous amount of smoked trout took the place of anchovies that have a taste similar to salmon. The dressing was creamy, the portion size small. Bitter Leaves My spouse's dish. Chunky cuts of different veggies were tossed in an orange dressing. I didn't have any as I didn't care for any of the ingredients. Risotto Parmegiano Also my spouse's dish. I tried a spoonful of this heavy selection but I'm not a fan of its texture though he enjoyed it. Very rich and creamy. SERVICE: Our female server was friendly but she didn't check on us. A female manager came around checking on guests. ---------- BREAKFAST BUFFET: Daily breakfast came included with our room. I have never seen a fresh honey comb station until now. Honey and toast is way better than jelly & jam! My mushroom, ham and cheese omelette was fluffy and tasty. Also served on the line were eggs, bacon, potatoes, cereals, fruits and cheeses. Service was very good. Turns out iced tea isn't a standard offering so they had to make it special every day I was there. ---------- DINNER MENU: Apps, salads, meats, duck, pastas, fish, pork, desserts. FOOD: T-Bone for two Oh. My. Gawd. My spouse and I were in heaven savoring every bite of the filet and New York cuts. Dry-aged for 60 days and simply seasoned with just salt, the flavors were amazingly pure. THE best steak I've ever had. Highly recommended! Elena Stuffed Potato Wowed again. The bacon-y flavor soaked deep into the spud covered in cheese. THE best baked potato ever and also highly recommended. Grilled Sweetbreads Can this place get any better? Sure they can. Buttery soft goodness in every bite. Holy geezuz. Grilled Octopus The cut of tentacle was steamed to perfect tenderness with a good amount of chewiness. A streak of fried cassava lined the plate for a little bit of starch. SERVICE: Again, very professional. OVERALL: Exquisite steaks, nice breakfast and lunch options. Affordable for being in a hotel. Great service. Highly recommended!

I had very high expectations. They were not in any way fulfilled. It might be that being the best comes with the responsibility to look outside and question yourself every day. The taste of the meat was ok but definately not what I asked for. It was a lot mor dry and it was really hard work...many parts I was not willing to work that hard on. We didnt finish the meat. Not worth it. Then the coffee. A light roasted robusta from brasil. I know my coffees. It was BAD. So I asked why they dont use premium beans. No, this is the way we like it. Just ad heavy sour milk and lots of sugar.... bad ending to an avarage meal. Service and location was great! I wanted to put this in a mail but couldnt find the email adress. Fact: The Conclusion: Crap, Ignorance, or The Chicken-and-Egg? Poor Bean Choice (The Foundation): Using light roasted Robusta is a risk that rarely pays off. It was likely a conscious but failed attempt to be different. The resulting "sour, tasteless" coffee is a logical consequence. Made-Up Reasoning (The Staff): The explanation about the milk is inconsistent with accepted knowledge in the coffee world. The staff was likely trying to justify bad coffee with a narrative to impress the customer. Italian Influence in Buenos Aires: You are correct; the large Italian community (who enjoy a balanced, full, but not bitter Moka pot coffee) does not explain this sour Robusta trend. Italians appreciate balance, not pure acidity. Final Verdict: They likely used beans that are difficult to prepare (light Robusta), the result was sour and bad, and they provided a made-up, pseudo-scientific explanation to defend their product. This is probably not a reflection of the entire coffee culture in Buenos Aires, but an incident at that one 'prominent' restaurant.

Best steak I had in Argentina (and I had a lot of them). 🥩 Came here the night after being kind of underwhelmed at Don Julio (like it was good, but didn’t blow my mind). I was on day 4 of steaks for dinner and thought maybe I was getting tired of them…WRONG. After the the first bite of that bone-in ribeye I made another reservation to bring a different friend. Cooked to perfection, incredible depth of flavor, truly can’t overstate how good this was!!! We also tried the carpaccio, Milanese w/Fries, lamb dish, and cauliflower. At the end of the day just order an extra steak instead (maybe the carpaccio and cauliflower or fries if you want an extra bite) but those were all amazing too. Just an incredible dining experience! For 2 it was $150.000 with a bottle of wine and scoop of icecream. Could’ve been much less but we out here ballin ✨

Pizzería Güerrín

Pizza restaurant
Fast food restaurant
Pizzería Güerrín is a renowned establishment in Buenos Aires, serving traditional Argentinian-style pizza and empanadas since 1932. It has become an iconic spot for locals and visitors alike, with long queues during peak hours due to its immense popularity. While some claim that the quality may have changed since it was acquired by the owners of a pizza chain, it remains a must-visit for those seeking an authentic taste of Buenos Aires' unique pizza style.
Pizzería Guerrin is an absolute classic and truly one of the best spots for pizza in Buenos Aires. They do a fantastic job – the pizza is delicious, fresh, and made with high-quality ingredients. The tomato sauce tastes homemade, like it’s made from real tomatoes, not processed ones – rich in flavor and full of aromatic spices. You don’t need to add anything – it’s perfect just the way it is. The place is always packed, but the staff handles it incredibly well. The team is fantastic – I’d rate the service 10 out of 10. The kitchen works efficiently, and despite the rush, we didn’t wait long for our pizza. When it arrived, it was absolutely amazing. Even the people next to us, who had just arrived, were admiring our pizza! The desserts looked great too, but unfortunately, we were too full to try them. Still – this place is absolutely worth visiting. The atmosphere, the flavors, the quality, and the service – all top-notch.

This is considered the best pizza in Argentina or at least BA. It’s a huge place with so many tables and rooms and staff that it is quite a maze. The staff were attentive and helpful and I have to admit that the ingredients were high quality and the pizza was very good. I did think that is was on the pricey side for a pizza (we visited in May 2025) but it was a great experience and I would definitely return to try other combinations of toppings and crust!
Dov F — Google review
For a foreigner this is an average pizza with average ingredients and a pre-made dough. The cheese is abundant but there nothing that stands out about this pizza. It's cultural and historic that's the whole point. You can try argentinan pizza here to say that you've had it but there's no need to come back. It has HUGE amounts of mozarella cheese which I guess drives people crazy. For this style this place is famous but there's much better options in Buenos Aires for spectacular napolitan style pizza such as Atte. The place is always packed so don't go on an empty stomach. I paid 42,000 for a large pizza and a HORRIBLE glass of wine. That size is good for four people.
A C — Google review
It was definitely worth visiting this place! I must give 5 stars to the staff — even though there was a line, I didn’t have to wait long because they work efficiently and fast, attentive - which makes the whole experience so much easier. I’d recommend trying the pizza with anchovies and their signature one with onions, the half/half option - both were incredibly fresh and full of flavor.
Nataliia T — Google review
It’s an Buenos Aires staple and always crowded, especially outside peak hours. The pizza here is very thick — almost like bread! I tried the Fugazzeta, Guerrin Special, and their empanadas, and honestly, I preferred the empanadas over the pizza. The empanadas taste good. The restaurant i super spacious and can handle lot of people. The pizza comes loaded with toppings, but it felt a bit too heavy, and the bread flavor was quite dominant. I’d suggest ordering by the slice so you can try different varieties. Overall, it was a nice experience, but I might not coming back.

Wow. Amazing pizza. Crazy ambiance. There are three sections, we went all the way back to the last one. For as large and busy as it was, service was fast.
John S — Google review
First time there. After a few questions the server brought us an English menu. Had two kinds of pizza. Both very good. The place is huge. Long line but moved fairly quickly.
Patsy G — Google review
The food here is excellent and the service is fast, especially considering how crowded it gets. The mozzarella pizza is amazing, they put a ridiculous amount of cheese on it, in the best possible way. There’s not much room between tables, and it can be hard to move around because it’s always packed. It’s noisy, but you can still have a conversation. Classic Buenos Aires pizza experience.

Restaurant
Gran Dabbang is a popular restaurant in Buenos Aires, founded by Argentine chef Mariano Ramon and his English gardener wife Philippa. The couple's extensive travels through Southeast Asia inspired them to create a dining experience that combines exotic flavors with locally sourced ingredients, honoring Argentina's culinary heritage. The result is a menu featuring dishes like Swiss chard pakoras, Malaysian laksa soup, and corn bread that blend Asian flavors with Latin American flair.
Some of the tastiest food I’ve had in Buenos Aires. It’s nice to have a variety amongst all the parrilla and Italian spots! So much flavor we ordered literally everything off the menu. Everything is meant to be shared which I love so then you can try everything. Going back for sure.
Jessica M — Google review
Loved the Indian fusion food that they are serving here. I ordered roti with daal makhani. Which was great. The palak pakora is nice as well. Dosa had a sweet chutney inside it which I personally didn’t prefer. Would’ve liked it on the side. Service was great. It was a long wait so I would call ahead and make reservation.
Yogesh M — Google review
I really appreciated the innovative dishes and flavor combinations here! They have a solid assortment of both meat and vegetarian dishes, so there's something for everyone. I loved the use of spice and the pairing of Indian and South American flavors. I recommend showing up right when they open (or few minutes before) if you don't want to wait. We went on a Friday night, and the restaurant filled quickly upon opening.

In a small space, unpretentiously but decorated with taste, this restaurant will surprise you with new tastes. All items in the menu are exquisite. The service is excellent. The ambiance is warm and welcoming. I hope you are lucky enough to visit them soon!

After a very bland dinner for our first night in Buenos Aires, this was incredible. The flavors were delicious and all of the dishes we ordered were very interesting. I would come back to eat here again. The venison was cooked to perfection!

Gran Dabbang was without a doubt my real find in Buenos Aires this time. The flavours kicked ass dish after dish! And the duck curry.. WOW. I was generally very satisfied and didn’t mind at all the queuing for the table (around 30’ for two people).

This place was SO good. Normally, I am hyper critical of Indian food, especially fusion indian food, but man - these people really elevated the taste and flavors. To get in we did have to wait in a line - it took about 45 mins, it was also a Friday night. There is no reservation option. The food was very very interesting. The pakora was delicious as was the roit dish they made. The meat was also really well made, it was kind of like a chicken katsu but they used pork instead. Very good and different take on indian food - the fusion witht eh latin food was perfect. Highly, highly recommend.

Casa Cavia is a magnificent mansion in Palermo, Buenos Aires, that has been transformed into a multifaceted space. It houses a modern restaurant and bar with a charming garden, as well as a flower shop and publishing house. The cuisine is curated by Julieta Caruso, an experienced chef from the renowned Mugaritz restaurant in the Basque Country. The menu offers breakfast, lunch, afternoon snacks, and dinner options.
What a great evening for a peaceful and delicious dinner in Buenos Aires. Coming from San Francisco I wanted to eat as much Argentinian food as I could. The chef here is very creative and I ate some food that I never ate before. For example, the fish was grilled protection and then had a Sauce with the crunch coming from shaved cauliflower. It’s worth a nice visit and a relaxing evening. You can dress up or dress down. There’s even a little scene going on. This is one of the places to go.
David S — Google review
Lovely restaurant with a beautiful courtyard. Food-wise however, there are better restaurants in Palermo with less than half of their price. Also each portion is very small here as expected in fine dining restaurants. My steak was supposed to be medium rare, but it was a touch overcooked, therefore a little dry. Sourdough bread was nice and moist inside, but a bit too chewy outside. Traditional Argentinian dessert was beautiful. Service was fine, inattentive at times when the restaurant got busy. Overall, nice dining experience for the atmosphere but I was expecting better quality food from a Michelin restaurant.

Casa Cavia isn’t just a restaurant - it’s an experience. Nestled inside a beautifully restored 1920s mansion in Palermo Chico, this absolute gem blends gastronomy, design, literature, and art under one stunning roof. From the moment I arrived, I felt like “This would be good …” and so it was.

Absolutely stunning place, a renovated mansion turned restaurant. My friend and I ordered the tea for two, which came with an incredible amount of food for the price, and while everything was delicious, the highlight were the scone. I would return just for those. The staff was friendly and the heat lamps in the patio kept it from getting too cold.

✨ A Hidden Gem in Palermo Chico ✨ Nestled inside a stunning mansion in Palermo Chico, Casa Cavia feels like stepping into a dream where architecture, food, and culture blend seamlessly. It’s the kind of place that draws you in for lunch or coffee – and then makes you want to rearrange your day just to stay a little longer. The staff? Warm, welcoming, and ready to guide you through a menu that’s equal parts elegant and delicious. Each dish is a celebration of fresh, local ingredients – simple yet sophisticated. And while the food is incredible, the real magic happens in the back garden, where the ambiance steals the show. Think of it as more than a restaurant – it’s an experience. Casa Cavia carries that Michelin-worthy charm without feeling too formal. Honestly, I came for lunch before heading to Malba, but next time? I might visit Malba just because I’m already at Casa Cavia. 😏

When I arrived for my brunch reservation I was seated and waited for almost 30 minutes for someone to come over to ask if I would like something to drink. I finally got up and asked the lady at the coffee counter for help. I ordered the pasta with fava beans and peas and was quite disappointed. The pasta was overcooked and wet, the dish did not have any distinguishable flavor. The decor is beautiful and the outdoor area is a serene and beautiful place however the food and service are not what I had hoped and expected. I had very high expectations for a restaurant that gets high acclaim. I hope this was a one off experience. Perhaps brunch is not the time to go here.
Dana G — Google review
Great service, delicious food, and truly wonderful atmosphere! This is a delightful, peaceful spot to stop for merienda. The rest of the menu looked very creative and enticing, as well, so I'll have to go back for a full meal. The prices are relatively high but seemed commensurate with the great quality food and experience as a whole. The staff was extremely friendly, warm, and welcoming. Highly recommended! EDIT: I went back for a light lunch, and I was absolutely blown away by what I ordered! The liláceas, vieiras tostadas y ajo blanco (a starter that I ordered for my main meal), was an explosion of freshness and deep flavor! I don't remember the last time I had a dish that truly made my mouth water just thinking about it. The individual ingredients were of excellent quality and were exquisitely prepared. I had the panna cotta de jengibre con cítricos y cedrón for dessert, which was wonderfully light and not too sweet with perfectly balanced flavors. The staff was, again, absolutely wonderful. What a great experience!

Airport
Aeroparque Internacional Jorge Newbery is a bustling airport in Argentina, serving domestic flights and international routes to and from Uruguay, Brazil, Chile, and Paraguay. Located close to downtown Buenos Aires, it offers convenient access for travelers. The airport provides a smooth experience with efficient security procedures and plenty of snack options. Despite its relatively small size with only 7 gates, the modern facility features free Wi-Fi, charging stations, basic restaurants, and stores.
Clean airport, and once you stepped out, you’ll find a lovely bay to walk around. I agree, there are loads of people using this airport. Very busy indeed.
Quincy Q — Google review
If I could describe Argentina’s airport in one word, it’s queue… 🙈😂😅 Queues everywhere—at Duty Free, for boarding, in the restrooms, and even to buy a water. The restaurants are packed, and the noise level is high. I flew on a Saturday, which probably made it worse, but the airport is small for the volume of passengers it handles. If you’re stuck waiting for more than two hours, good luck—you might go crazy from the noise and lack of space. Best to arrive as late as possible, just in time to check in and get through security. Duty Free is a small. Prices are high, and there’s really no point in buying anything unless you’re desperate🤣😂. On the bright side, the staff are very polite❤️ and helpful. The food options are decent and not overpriced. One bar I discover was Fausto. It looks a bit messy and poorly maintained, but it’s one of the quiet spots in the entire airport, giving a break from all the madness. I found a healthy yogurt for 3,800 pesos—big cup, no sugar, and super tasty. ❤️❤️❤️Definitely a highlight! Restrooms? Clean, but the queues are ridiculous. 😱 In summary, expect crowds, small wins like perfect location and friendly staff.

Beautiful airport but not foreigner friendly at all. 1. Money changer is not at the arrival hall, it’s at the departure hall 2. The bank has only one counter in operation 3. None of the money changer signs are in English 4. There are buses outside but no information where to buy the tickets or card

Aeroparque is a small, convenient airport located just 2 km from downtown Buenos Aires, making it ideal for domestic flights and some regional international routes. It’s easy to navigate, but at night, options like stores and food points can be limited. The proximity to the city is a huge plus, but during peak hours, it can get crowded. Overall, it’s a solid choice for short trips within Argentina or nearby countries, though it’s not as well-equipped for late-night travel as other airports.
Nicolas L — Google review
Flew roundtrip to Córdoba from Aeroparque Internacional Jorge Newbery, and overall, it was a smooth experience. The airport is conveniently located close to the city, making it much easier to get in and out compared to Ezeiza. The check-in process was efficient, and security lines moved quickly. The terminal itself is modern, with decent dining and shopping options. Boarding was well-organized, and flights departed on time. The only downside is that it can get quite crowded, especially during peak hours, and finding a good seat in the waiting areas can be challenging. Also, some areas could use better signage for first-time travelers. Still, for domestic flights, AEP is a great choice for its location and efficiency. Would definitely fly through here again!

Actually, I like this airport. The lower floor (check-in) is crowded but the upper floor is less. I hope my conception won't change in the next few times I am going to be here. Accidentally, I got a long waiting time and I survived. I found here my favorite cafe "Martin Café". I got enough time to explore the airport and it's immediate neighborhood. See my pictures.

Plane landed in the rain, and we had to take the slippery steps down the jetway, on the rain, and they did not have enough employees to assist the elderly. And then, they filled up the bus, and didn’t realize it was full, and made several people walk…back up…the metal steps to the airplane, in the rain as other people were trying to get off of the airplane, so passengers were bunched up at the entrance to the airplane and a lot of people were just standing on the slippery steps in the rain trying to get back up to the airplane. These are metal steps. It was not safe. A bit of a disaster and could be really quite dangerous for an older population. They should have made sure that everyone who had a cane or needed assistance was able to safely navigate the wet metal steps with someone helping and/or allowed everyone to exit the steps slowly. There also should’ve been either a second bus waiting, or an employee (accurately!) counting the amount of passengers that were getting on the bus, so that they knew that it was full and did not have to send people back up a slippery flight of steps where they were meeting other people trying to come down the steps! I tried to take a photo from the bus, but it was raining pretty hard, and it is difficult to see. I’m just glad nobody fell!
Lockie H — Google review
This airport needs a massive update. Small, extremely crowded, hot, signs and staff only in Spanish, parking lots are the worst of the worst - no sign at all to tell you where rentals are supposed to be dropped off. Traffic jams and chaos.

Ezeiza International Airport

International airport
Airport
Ezeiza International Airport, officially known as Ministro Pistarini International Airport, is the main gateway to Argentina and serves as a bustling hub for travelers heading to Buenos Aires. Located about 37 kilometers from the city center, this high-traffic airport features three terminals and boasts impressive facilities that accommodate over 8 million passengers each year. With its two runways, Ezeiza is a vital base for Aerolineas Argentinas and connects visitors to various destinations across South America.
Very luxury and modern airports ,clean and easy to move. All the employees starting from the check ,security ,immigration and lounges are kind and nice ,designated areas for kids to play. Many good venues and stores. 5 stars well deserved

A modern, welll designed, and busy international and domestic airport. You will find here many well known restaurants. Unfortunately, it's hard to find available electric outlets for charging your dying phone.
Piotr K — Google review
Ezeiza International Airport is one of the main gateways to Argentina, but it has room for improvement. The airport layout is modern, and the international terminal is fairly clean and organized. Immigration can be hit or miss—sometimes fast, sometimes painfully slow, depending on arrival times. The biggest downside is the lack of efficient signage and staff assistance. If you’re not familiar with the airport, finding your way around can be confusing. Food and shopping options are decent but overpriced. Also, Wi-Fi is unreliable at times, which can be frustrating if you need to stay connected. On the positive side, security and customs are generally smooth, and baggage claim is fairly efficient. However, transportation options could be better—taxis are expensive, and public transit connections aren’t as seamless as in other major international airports. Overall, Ezeiza gets the job done, but it could improve in terms of passenger experience and amenities.

Sept.25: arrived early morning @Buenos Aires International Airport (EZE). It's big & well maintained with lots of food stalls. Immigration was crowded @time of arrival. It took about 35-45 minutes to get through @7AM. Immigration took eye scan with picture & from right hand point finger they took an electronic print; no longer stamp in passport.

Ezeiza International Airport is one of two airports serving the capital, and the largest in Argentina. It was the most used airport on our Antarctic: first and last, the last, and everything in between, and the jump off point to and from Ushuaia & Rio de Janeiro. Nothing out of ordinary, except the Centurion Lounge is badly managed - not eze's fault but an experience. We've a seven hour layover from GIG (Rio de Janeiro), the lounge manager insisted that we could only use it three hour prior to our departure. In fact, Amex has no time limit for transfer passengers.

Buenos Aires Airport is a pretty good airport overall — clean, organized, and easy to get around. The staff are friendly and everything runs quite smoothly, from check-in to boarding. However, the restaurants could definitely use some improvement. There aren’t many good options, and the quality of the food doesn’t really match the rest of the airport. If they invested in better dining choices, it would make the travel experience much nicer. Still, it’s a comfortable and pleasant airport to fly through.
