La Tablita

$$$$expensive
Mutton barbecue restaurant
La Tablita is a renowned parrilla located just a few blocks away from downtown and accessible via a charming white bridge. This popular spot offers an authentic Argentine barbecue experience, attracting both locals and tourists. The restaurant's specialty is the Patagonian lamb barbecue, cooked gaucho-style on frames over a circular asador. In addition to the lamb, the menu features an array of meats including beef ribs, steaks, chorizos, and morcilla.
La Tabita in El Calafate is a must-visit! 🥩🐑 The menu has Patagonian lamb, juicy grilled beef, and perfectly charred veggies—everything cooked to smoky perfection. The beef is hands down my fave! 😋 Their homemade flan is just sweet enough, and the wine? Absolutely perfect. 🍮🍷 They even grill the lamb right in front of the restaurant (a little terrifying but also kinda cool 😂). Service could use a tiny upgrade, but the food totally makes up for it!
Bow T — Google review
Very nice traditional lamb place that's not on the main street, but just on the side. The wines are great and so is the food. It's very spacious and in the winter, you can walk in. The summer might be different
Sie-Hang C — Google review
Great and unique food — the Patagonian lamb for one was generous enough for two and perfectly cooked. However, the service felt a bit lacking; our server seemed slightly rude, and the wine wasn’t presented before pouring. Still, giving them the benefit of the doubt that it might’ve just been a busy night.
Lance F — Google review
We went to this restaurant in El Carafate 2 times. The first time is for lunch and think we don’t have enough so we go back for dinner before we leave El Carafate. The price is reasonable and quantity and quality is good. Lamb Chinchulines is delicious. This is a must try restaurant in El Carafate.
Huiscuba — Google review
Love this place. Food is good, especially the lamb. The wine they recommended is also very good. Service is warm and free WIFI. I came here for lunch and came back for dinner as well. Highly recommended.
Justin C — Google review
Best charcoal roasted lamb in Argentina that we have tasted so far after 5 days here. The skin is excellent and the meat oh so tender. Dessert of Calafate ice cream was superb.
A T — Google review
The food and atmosphere were very satisfying, but it was a bit disappointing that the staff were more focused on their phones and chatting. They never checked on us during the meal. Still, I’d like to think we were just unlucky, and since the food was excellent, I would recommend this place.
Justin K — Google review
Overall, it was an enjoyable dining experience—on the pricier side, but comparable to other quality restaurants in El Calafate. I previously visited another spot to try the renowned Cordero Patagónico, but had to return the dish and leave due to poor quality. Thankfully, the lamb here was far superior—flavorful and nicely prepared. While it was slightly overcooked for my preference, the leaner meat may explain the drier texture. Still, the seasoning and the subtle smokiness from the wood-fired grill added a unique and satisfying taste. Since it was low season, the restaurant wasn’t busy, which made for a peaceful and elegant atmosphere. The setting was refined, contributing to an overall pleasant vibe. A glass of decent Malbec wine cost around 10,000 pesos (approximately $9 USD at the current exchange rate). I’ve attached the menu with June 2025 pricing for reference. This is definitely one of the better dining options in town—but be prepared to spend a bit more for quality.

Isabel Cocina al Disco

Restaurant
Isabel Cocina al Disco is a cozy restaurant located in El Calafate, Argentina, offering a unique dining experience with its traditional al disco cooking method. The restaurant's menu features a variety of meats and vegetables cooked in beer, red wine, or white wine, as well as more modern options like Bife al Napolitana.
Good care and services from Staffs Enjoy our lunch so much! Nice atmosphere and good quality of food Love steak… so soft and yum! Both dishes are super tasty
Klongthip T — Google review
We ordered the lamb for two which was more than enough for three. Unfortunately it was mostly bones and little lamb. We’d heard good things from our guide but overall the meal was quite disappointing.
NSLondon — Google review
This place offers huge sharing platters. Please listen to your server and DO NOT order more platter than they suggest. The food is delicious but it is easy to over order as you do not realise how massive each dish will be!!
Dov F — Google review
I spent 3 nights at El Calafate and had all 3 dinners here. We tried the chicken plough, fish plough, and steak. All 3 were delicious and the restaurant itself was beautiful. Prices are as of September 2025
Rebecca L — Google review
I guess our expectations were too high. Anyways, we had seafood plough and it was disappointing. First, the ingredients weren't fresh. I get that the seafood around here is hard to get but their textures were old and smoosh and even vegetables weren't fresh except half of the potatoes. I say half of the potatoes because only the other half looked fresh when they were brought out. And I am not a picky eater, but the sauce was literally soy sauce.
Myung L — Google review
We arrive herencia for the good rating of Maps, and I was really great. We asked for a customozed versión of the seafood disco. Incredible.
Alexis W — Google review
They mainly have stews, which depends on your palate. I didn't like it much, but my partner loved it. But the service was excellent.
Pelin A — Google review
Wonderful meal and recommendation from our server. Would definitely come back again. The only thing I didn’t like was the cover charge. Makes no sense charging us for the opportunity to sit at a table.

La Lechuza Pizza y Pastas

Mentioned on
1 list
$$$$affordable
Restaurant
La Lechuza Pizza y Pastas is a popular spot in El Calafate, Argentina, known for its typical Argentine-style thick crust pizzas topped with stringy cheese. The restaurant also offers delicious empanadas and vegetarian options. With a cozy and warm atmosphere, outdoor seating, and wheelchair access, it's ideal for families and diners with special needs. La Lechuza provides delivery, takeout services, as well as table reservations.
To me, Langoustine Ajillo is the best choice in La Lechuza’s menu! I was happy that we found it after going through over a dozen restaurants’ menu. It was fresh, abundant, cooked perfectly and presented appetizingly. My husband was content with his plain pizza. I appreciated Ms. Lara who served me a second cup of hot water.
Elsa L — Google review
The Argentine bife was beautiful, the cordero was beautiful, the seafood pizza was beautiful and the risotto was, you guessed it, beautiful. It took almost half an hour for the food to come out but it was worth the wait.
Bill Y — Google review
Never had a pasta this bad, just tasted like tasteless dough, as if they forgot to cook the pasta in salt water, and the pesto just barely had the taste as well. On the other hand, they put all the remaining salt in the risotto, it was so salty that we can only pick the seafood and eat it, leaving the rice behind. I really don’t understand how do they get such high rating where there food is so failed. Service and atmosphere is okay, but I would advise you to save your money and tummy to eat somewhere else.
Zhi T — Google review
Decent pizza, though nothing particularly memorable. If you’re dining with two people, go for the large size with eight slices—it’s not huge, but it gets the job done. Pricing is typical for El Calafate, which unfortunately means it’s on the expensive side. Paying 29,000 pesos (around $25 USD) for a single pizza is steep—more than what you’d spend in Miami, where I’ve lived for over 14 years. It’s honestly getting out of hand. Since I opted for takeout, I can’t comment on the service or in-house dining experience.
MJ “ — Google review
Amazing restaurant!! The price is fair and the pizza was delicious. I ordered mussarela pizza and asked them not to put a lot of cheese. Staff was friendly. The chocolate ice cream was so so good!!!
Vanessa M — Google review
Great and not so expensive place! I totally recommend the lamb risotto, it is really super tasty. The steaks are very good and the wine was awesome. The only bad thing was the dessert, we had the Cheeseboard with quince and it was only one type of cheese and not a good one. The service was ok but not the most attentive.
M M — Google review
Hearty meal. I got a speghatti in arabiatta sauce with lots of veggies. I did ask for mushrooms instead of the meat, but it may have been lost in translation (quite literally :)). My husband ordered a caprese pizza because they didn't have chicken or beef in house, which we found odd. My speghatti was quite rubbery and the texture was off a bit, but I finished it as I was ravenous. The pizza was delicious. The service was very friendly and tried their best to explain the menu and what's available but it was a bit slow. For desert we ordered flan which did not meet my husband's flan standards as it was missing the cooked caramel sauce and he said it was eggy. Maybe an off night for them. Other than some food issues I liked the place as it was friendly, staff was nice and atmosphere was fun.
Mariam S — Google review
They tried to fool us. We ordered rib eye, They served a very hard steak, they cut the meat to look like a rib eye. They covered the cut with some vegetables. When we complained, they immediatelly excused and did not charge us. But… too late. Place is very smoky, insuficient exhausting from the oven

Parrilla Don Pichon

Mentioned on
1 list
$$$$affordable
Restaurant
Parrilla Don Pichon is a standout Argentinean barbecue restaurant in El Calafate, known for its excellent ratings and generous portions. What sets it apart is the complimentary hotel transfer service it offers to its customers. The restaurant boasts stunning city views and specializes in Patagonian cuisine, offering a wide range of options. One of their signature dishes is the grilled Patagonian lamb, renowned for its unique flavor derived from the herbs found only in Patagonia.
This was a restaurant that actors Kang Ha-neul and Ahn Jae-hong visited on a Korean entertainment program. Inside the restaurant, you can see lamb being grilled. After eating bread, salad, sautéed vegetables, and wine, the lamb, grilled deliciously, comes out. It has no smell at all, and the flavor fills your mouth softly. It ranks among the best lamb I’ve ever had. If you go to El Calafate, I highly recommend you stop by.
Hyekyung K — Google review
Come for the wine and view but avoid the lamb. Absolute tourist trap. I don’t even know where to begin. We were seated 5 mins before anyone even acknowledged us again to give us the menu after flagging someone down. The bread was inedible (see video). The lamb for 2 are the scraps you’d feed the dogs as another reviewer said. It should have been a red flag when they didn’t specify what cuts they were as they do in other restaurants. A further look at the menu you’ll see there’s no mention of lamb racks, chops or leg of lamb which makes one think they purchase the leftover cheaper cuts from the butcher…and judging by what was served to us further backs that up. I guess we should have expected it for less than $50,000 for the lamb for 2. Service was friendly enough but we can’t overlook the fact that we asked for chimichurri two times (after the server was the one who asked if we wanted it first) and still we didn’t get by the end of the meal. We tried to flag him down again but it was almost as if he was actively avoiding us at that point. As for the flavour of the food itself…I can’t remember the last time I used table salt for a meal in a restaurant before. And out of the 4 stalls in the women’s washroom, not one was fully functioning. Either faulty door that didn’t close at all, didn’t flush (2) or simply locked from the inside, so completely unusable. View was great but don’t be fooled by the ratings.
Connie G — Google review
Placed atop a beautiful vista overlooking El Calafate, Don Pichón offers a unique and truly Argentine vibe with the best parillas. A beautiful wine selection and the best chimichuri in the area. What’s not to love?
Rich B — Google review
The best steak I’ve ever had. On point super good portion. The lamb was also outstanding. I recommend to skip the starters as the portions are generous. Our only recommendation is to provide better training to waiters in terms of wine, our waiter was not able to describe the wines on the menu. We chose a torrentes as it’s the thing to drink in Argentina when you like white wines and we were lucky it was good one.
Montse G — Google review
🌿 AMBIENCE • Access & Views: After walking along a road made of dirt and gravel (not paved), we arrived at the restaurant, which offered spectacular panoramic views of the city, the lake, and the mountains. • Vibe: A perfect setting for a celebratory meal. 🍽️ FOOD • Dishes ordered: We indulged in a Patagonian mixed grill (parrillada patagónica). This feast typically includes: Chorizo, Morcilla (blood sausage), Bife de Chorizo (sirloin steak), Vacío (flank steak), Chicken, and Lamb. • Appetizer: We also tried the guanaco empanada. • Summary: The meal was truly a feast, offering a great variety of Patagonian meats. 🍷 DRINKS • Selection: We toasted with two excellent Argentine red wines: a Fin del Mundo Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon 2022 and a D V Catena Reserva Cabernet Malbec 2023. 💁 SERVICE • Attention: The waiter was very helpful and attentive throughout the meal. 💡 FINAL VERDICT • ✔ Strong points: The stunning panoramic views, the excellent quality and variety of the Patagonian mixed grill, and the very attentive service. The wine selection perfectly complemented the meal.
MARTIN T — Google review
Excellent food. Great selection of cocktails, and wine. Great service. Best desserts. Spectacular view. A plus: they offer transportation to your hotel.
Fern L — Google review
This restaurant was recommended by the receptionist in our hotel as his favorite restaurant. It is probably his favorite because of the comission received after each guest. This is the kind of place we call tourist trap. It seemed that most of its guests arrived by the transfer arranged by the restaurant - no wonder as the place is not at a easily findable location. It is one large room, perfect for groups, but not so much for a dinner with your loved one. The quality of the food is average and compared to that, the price is high and service is slow. Observing the lambs being roasted is interesting and the sunset is beautiful, but I would have rather eaten better food in a cozy place than get these added benefits. I will not return.
Boglárka L — Google review
A definite tourist trap with customers coming from the recommendation of the hotels because you wouldn't just walk past this restaurant since it's in the middle of nowhere out of town. If your timing is okay then you will have an alright table, but if not it's an absolutely terrible table in a tight space. Some of the dishes we ordered were slightly inedible and some were okay except my meat came with a black kitchen fabric burned onto the meats. There was a big group of people from the tour on a massive table behind us that were drunk and made so much loud noise throughout the dining period. The staff tried their best to do their job but the number of customers per staff would make it impossible to provide a good service.

Pura Vida

Mentioned on

$$$$affordable
Restaurant
Pura Vida is a cozy and unpretentious restaurant located a few blocks from downtown. The ambiance is set with bohemian music, funky artwork, and low-hung lights, creating a laid-back atmosphere. The menu features homemade cooking with options like soups, pies, and bakes, including the signature dish of lamb stew served inside a calabaza (pumpkin). The restaurant offers abundant and delicious dishes that are big enough to share.
If comfort food had a destination, it would be Pura Vida. This cozy and colorful restaurant in El Calafate serves up hearty meals that feel like a warm hug after a long day. The vibrant atmosphere, with its eclectic decor and relaxed vibe, sets the tone for an unforgettable dining experience. The food? Absolutely spectacular. We started with their fresh homemade bread and a flavorful bean spread that paired beautifully with a glass of red wine. For the mains, the stuffed pumpkin was filled with tender beef and melted cheese—rich, indulgent, and packed with flavor. The lamb stew, baked in a golden bread dome, was a standout—perfectly seasoned and comforting. Portions were generous enough that we had leftovers for another meal the next day! It’s worth noting that Pura Vida leans on the pricier side, but the quality and experience are well worth it. Try to reserve ahead—we were lucky to get a table for two by walking in, but we had to wait about 20 minutes. Thankfully, there’s a seating area where we enjoyed a well-made Pisco Sour to pass the time, which honestly made the wait enjoyable! Pura Vida is a must-visit in El Calafate for authentic, hearty dishes with a local twist. Highly recommended!

We had a great lunch at Pura Vida. We arrived without a reservation and were welcomed to a table immediately. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious!!! We had some empanadas plus the Lamb Pie and the Beef Stew served in a pumpkin. Very tasty and generous portions. Home made bread was an added bonus. Would definitely recommend this place.
Bruce C — Google review
We had the caprese empanada which was sooo cheesy and warm. Amazing vegan and vegetarian options! We had the vegan potato pie and the Patagonian lamb stew. Great place for all to share a meal - despite different dietary restrictions. The Calafate ice cream is a must try!!! The staff are so attentive and warm and the ambience and decor of the place is very cosy.

Great place to visit after being in the cold. Perfect for comfort food. Delicious, generous portions. Veggie options. Great atmosphere and views. Highly recommend the lentil stew
Montse G — Google review
Absolutely amazing! We loved this restaurant so much that we came back the next night. The food was incredible, and the staff and service were just as impressive.
Hedieh T — Google review
We ordered the salad and the lamb pie. Both were great, but the lamb pie was the best dish we had in Argentina so far. Additionally, they served us a local bread accompanied by a typical dip made of black lentils. For a desert we had the chocolate brownies with berries and ice cream. In conclusion, all food was great, as well as the service. Highly recommended !
גלעד פ — Google review
We had such a wonderful time at Pura Vida! The service and the food were both amazing, everything was full of flavor and beautifully served. The vegetarian dishes were delicious, creative, and truly generous in size (we felt seen as vegetarians!). The place has such a lovely atmosphere, the kind that invites you to open a bottle of wine and just enjoy the night. ✨🍷
Viky C — Google review
Such a cute restaurant with a nice view and outdoor patio. Many vegetarian/vegan options available as well. I had Argentine Carbonada (not vegeterian/vegan) and fresh lemonade, and they were very delicious! Also the bread was amazing. Portion were quite large. The staff were friendly.

Restaurant
Mi Rancho Restaurant Patagónico is a popular family-run restaurant in Calafate, known for its intimate and welcoming atmosphere. It's advisable to book a table in advance due to limited seating. The menu features flavorful dishes such as ossobucco, lamb risotto, and trout, complemented by a fine selection of wines from Patagonia.
Overall, we enjoyed the food. They had some different items on the menu we enjoyed trying. The guanaco prepared 3 ways was interesting. The trout was really nice and the steak was well cooked. The bread was delicious as well. The servings were large and the staff was friendly. Our waitress seemed more in an hurry than the others but we still had a good experience.
Kelly R — Google review
My favorite restaurant in El Calafate! Highly recommend the Osobuco and the ravioli. Both were very flavorful and amazing presentation. The restaurant also has a very nice atmosphere and decorations. For helpful feedback - it is hard to find an online menu, and washing hands should be mandatory if you are a serving after using the male washroom.
Vu D — Google review
We wanted to try guanaco and it was very delicious. Our waiter adviced us to choose the “guanaco in three different ways” and it was a very good way of trying guanaco for the first time. Would definitely recommend trying it out.
Philip L — Google review
We came here by recommendation of our AirBnB host, and wow did it not disappoint! Everything we ordered was delicious, high quality, and enjoyable. Worth the few blocks walk off the beaten path for this excellent meal. Staff was very friendly and kind.

We just rounded up our patagonia trip and this is one of our best meals we had in Chile and patagonia. My partner discovered it through ChatGPT😅 since we are staying at Hotel Kosten Aiken. It is outside the center but still walkable to reach it. The place is cozy and homey. I specially enjoyed osso buco while my partner enjoyed the pork steak even though he is actually not a pork eater. 😊😀 this is really een aanrader if you are in el Calafate!

Really comforting meal at mi rancho where we both got pasta. I got the gnocchi and also tried the crab ravioli. Decor was really cozy and really enjoyed this restaurant off the main road.

Friendly staff! Delicious lamb which was MASSIVE and would definitely advise it to be shared. Really good value for money and cheaper than the main strip restaurants

Was staying at a nearby hotel, Hotel Kosten Aike and wanted a quality meal. This place is a hidden gem, just off the main drag. Don’t overlook it. The facility and atmosphere is very nice , staff was amazing and the meats cooked to perfection! I was so satisfied with my meal and with the good prices. Everyone seemed happy to be there. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Librobar is a small bar and café that also has a library on-site. The focus is mostly on drinks, with sandwiches and light meals available as well. The beer selection offers artisan regional brews, which can be enjoyed while surrounded by stacks of books that are free to browse for customers.
A unique secret speakeasy-esque bar in the heart of the town center. Great cocktails and happy hour and rooftop patio. There are local shops around the bottom of the bar. To find the entrance you have to walk to where the shops are and look for the library stairs.
C T — Google review
Photographed is the lentil stew (?, looked like it was days old and was more of a microwaved mush) the Galileo salad, no dressing or black olives that are listed in the menu. My friend had the lentil burger and said it was good but a little dry. Bright side, beer was good and the place is cute. Walls are filled with books. But overall pretty disappointed in the food. Wood recommend for drinks, not for food.

Absolutely awesome vibe here!! Loved it from the outside and the inside was just even better. The staff were super friendly and very accommodating. They only had cocktails by the jug but they made me one just by the glass (apple cocktail)... SOOOOO GOOD!! The town had just received positive election news and everyone was in such a great mood! Located in El Chalten, Argentina, La Tapera is a charming dining spot that offers an authentic taste of the country. The menu features classic dishes such as grilled meats, soups, salads, and homemade pastas made with locally sourced ingredients for freshness and authenticity. The cozy ambiance within a wooden cabin adds to the experience. Visitors can start their day with a hearty breakfast before embarking on explorations to attractions like Viedma Glacier.
We had a fantastic dinner here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The staff were friendly and efficient and the food was great. A special shout out to the trout dish, which I ordered based on other reviews. It was incredible! Probably the best fish dish I’ve ever had.
Bruce C — Google review
Really nice vibe with a warm decor. I went a couple of times, with a starter main dessert and drink 😄 They do a really nice warm loaf of bread with the starter too. Their suggested meat dish main is massive, I want to say something like 18oz or maybe a bit bigger. Really lovely desserts and the presentation of all the food is fantastic. At the end is a free shot of a fruity alcoholic thing I can’t remember the name of 😂 The staff are really cool and friendly too. The only con I would say is there aren’t many non alcoholic drink options but if you love wine then you’re in the perfect place.

Ordered bife de chorizo and had a blast. The meat was so big, we ate all the sides and asked them to cook again. After dinner, they offered for us to try their liquor, and it was amazing.

Yes, the trout dish. Definitely. The steak not so much. But beware of the little bones though. Complimentary alcohol at the end. Beautifully decorated rustic place.

Mi Viejo

Restaurant
Nestled in the heart of Calafate, Mi Viejo is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Argentine cuisine. This charming grill is renowned for its mouthwatering Patagonian wood-fired lamb, which pairs beautifully with either a zesty Creole sauce or refreshing mint chimichurri. The menu also boasts an impressive selection of traditional Argentine cuts like roast strip and entrana, alongside delectable sides such as kidneys and pork sausage.
For a start, I don't eat lamb due to its gamey taste in general so I was worried and hesitant to pay such a price in case it turned out bad. It's a must eat in Patagonia so I had to try it. Ordered a portion for 1 and potato gratin and a glass of malbec. It was good! There wasn't any gamey taste but of course a faint smell of lamb. Reservations are required as its almost impossible to walk in with free tables. Can be easily made online. Had this as my last dinner in El Calafate. Payment by card doesn't include tips. Tips by cash only which the server will remind you.
Kelvin H — Google review
Very good place specializing in “Cordero Patagonico” like the vast majority of restaurants in El Calafate. We started with Lamb Empanada and Meat cut with knife Empanada. Both very good and tasty. We followed with Lamb which was awesome and my girlfriend had a Lamb Pasta which was good, but tasted too much of alcohol, as in the wine as not cooked enough to liberate the alcohol. The service was good, but at one point the waiter went from present to over friendly. We paid 98000 pesos in total. Acceptable for what we had, but can be considered expensive for the Argentinean reality. It is a good place to go and eat in El Calafate.
Paulo D — Google review
Mi Viejo is a popular restaurant, so reservations are recommended. We attempted a walk-in at opening time, but all tables for two were reserved. We tag teamed with another couple and shared a table for four, making some new friends along the way. The staff are friendly and attentive, and the restaurant has a great atmosphere. The food was good: we ordered the lamb to share between two, and had the cauliflower dish and potato gratin as sides.
Warren B — Google review
We dine in this restaurant and overall we stayed happy. The service was exceptional good and the atmosphere was really friendly and warm. The food was fine but a bit overpriced in the main courses comparing to other Parrilla restaurants with more tasteful plates. The wine was great and there is a huge list with many wine labels to choose from

Mi Viejo is easily one of the best restaurants in El Calafate. The Chorizo- pork sausages and the lamb steak were incredibly tasty, and the Malbec wine was the perfect match. A special thank you to Gustavo, who made our evening truly unforgettable. Highly recommended!

The lamb here was truly excellent, with the crispy skin a unique delight. Other dishes like the lamb croquettes and sweet potatoes were also superb. The staff was very friendly. I would definitely use the website’s reservation system to get a table, and consider this a must visit for anyone in El Calafate!

We reserved at this restaurant to celebrate our friend’s birthday and were really looking forward to a nice evening. When we arrived our server Ariel greeted us warmly and made a good first impression. However as the evening went on things unfortunately took a different turn. We were a group of four and ordered a bottle of bubbles yet not a single glass was poured for us. I ended up serving everyone myself even though the restaurant was not busy at all. We also chose to share our dishes so that everyone could try a bit of everything but Ariel seemed visibly unimpressed and even rolled his eyes. One of our sides was forgotten and only brought to the table once I had already finished my main course which was quite disappointing. To make things worse when we finished our meal I asked if he could please check the reservation note as we had mentioned we were celebrating our friend’s birthday as a surprise. Instead of handling it discreetly Ariel asked out loud whose birthday it was which completely spoiled the surprise we had planned. The food itself was good nicely presented and the quality was there but the service really let the experience down. We expected a more attentive and thoughtful approach especially for a special occasion. We left the discretionary service charge even though we honestly did not feel like doing so. We just hoped our feedback helps improve the service for future guests.

Restaurante La Cocina

Restaurante La Cocina is a charming dining spot that offers a delightful mix of Italian pasta, Argentine steaks, and seafood dishes. It's the perfect place to unwind after a busy day with a satisfying meal and a glass of fine Argentinian red wine. The restaurant is known for its diverse pasta offerings, including noqui, ravioli, and spaghetti served with various delectable sauces.
Good quality pasta. The place is nice and cozy. The stuff was welcoming and nice, good service. The food is very well made and tasty. The dishes are nothing fancy but with nice texture, well-balanced flavors, and prepared very well. The dessert (beso passionado) was very good as well. The prices are comparable to other restaurants in town but high compared to most other places around the world.

Originally we entered just to have a snack and ordered warm lentils as a starter. They were so delicious that we ordered one more thing: ravioli with beef stew. That was delicious too. With those two things wevwere full. The service was very good and the restaurant has nice interior. I could recommend it.

Cozy restaurant with a great service, but pasta is pretty average. If you are looking for a big meal after a long day - this place is what you need, but if you are looking for a great Italian food, this place might disappoint you.

Our group had all three sets of pasta tasting and about half of them were good and the other half were slightly bland. Great wine selection! Comfortable and cozy place with friendly staff.

We went in to this restaurant at 8 o’clock, a little before prime time in Argentina, and we were able to get a table for two right away. They are known for their different pasta, tasting menus, and that’s what I have, three types of pasta with different sauces. We started with the vegetable soup, which was not my favorite soup, a bit flavor, less but pleasant on a cold night in Patagonia. My husband had a steak, which he seem to enjoy quite a lot and I wasn’t in love with the pasta tasting menu, I found the sauce is very heavy and not particularly flavorful, but the pasta is more properly cooked. Our server was very pleasant and friendly and you get a plate of stale bread with hummus spread before your meal starts.

La Cocina has the absolute best steak I have had in my life. When I came to Argentina, I was very excited about the reputation for delicious, quality beef. I went to five restaurants, and the only one that met expectations was La Cocina. The meat was cooked beautifully: somehow crispy on the outside yet soft, tender, and juicy on the inside. I wish I had just come back here four more times instead of trying the other restaurants. La Cocina is where it is at!

The pasta was good, but the accompaniments need a lot more work. We ordered many dishes with varieties of mushrooms, and they were all hard or chewy, with woodsy bits. It's possible other dishes are better, but our experience was disappointing and dinner felt overpriced.

Food and atmosphere is not bad. Restaurant got full around 9pm. Staffs are friendly and food didnt take too long as mentioned in their menu about made to order in the kitchen. The pasta tasting is pretty popular, saw many tables having it.
