Bubbles Seafood & Wine Bar

Seafood restaurant
Wine bar
Located in the terminal's departures side, past security, Bubbles Seafood & Wine Bar is one of the many cafe outlets available. This Champagne bar offers an array of sparkling wine options to complement their delectable seafood dishes, such as fresh oysters, sushi, and the renowned salted herring. While prices may be slightly higher due to its airport location, visitors can indulge in a stylish and enjoyable dining experience at this upscale restaurant.
We have been here with my husband maybe four times in the last year and it’s really good and consistent. We love the lobster roll. They have very good selection of wine as well.
Maria L — Google review
Surprisingly good seafood for an airport. They have a nice wine selection, too. I started with 6 of the Amsterdam oysters, and they were nice and fresh. Not too briney, and that classic buttery flavor you expect from an Amsterdam oyster. The mignonette that comes with them is really good. I had the Lobster Roll Royale for my main, and it was delicious. Huge Lobster claw meats, slices of black truffle, and crayfish mayo. The iberico ham was great, too. And even came with a perfectly poached egg on the side. Great meal to catch between flights.
Camerons C — Google review
Oysters were very nice. Although they were quite understaffed they still succeed to help me within reasonable time. I wouldn’t recommend having a full meal here though (will take too long).
Sophie — Google review
Love this place very much! It’s very nice service and the coffee and food were excellent!
Tommy T — Google review
Seafood options were good but as other commenters have mentioned, options are on the higher end compared to the nearby sandwich shops. They have a nice wine list with common favorites and a couple of wine flight options which I thought were nice. They didn't have sweet wines (i.e Moscato, Reislings, Sweet Reds) but did have a Rosé that was €14 / glass.
Marisa — Google review
Great experience. I had the salmon wrap with sparking water for 14€. It was nice and fresh - very convenient if you have 30min before catching your flight Second and third visit: same experience with friendly staff and nice fresh fish served here. I had on my third instance the fish platter which was nice with a toast but I was still a bit hungry after that. The salmon wraps are cheaper and more consistent and also convenient if you have to take them away
Sofiane — Google review
Excellent place to get seafood while waiting for a flight, the host also helped me out with a plug adapter so I could connect my laptop
Thuon C — Google review
I really love the food. Either sushi or Dutch Herring... however, service and friendliness are not the strengths of this place. Every time I'm here at Schiphol, I visit this bar.

East Bar & Bites

Mentioned on
3 lists
Bar
East Bar & Bites at Schiphol Airport offers a fantastic selection of Asian cuisine, including sushi, yakitori, wasabi crackers, and sake cocktails. While the poke bowl stood out with its delicious flavors and generous portions, some customers found the prices to be high, which is typical for an airport establishment. The staff members were quick and helpful but being an airport setting limited the overall atmosphere.
This place is suitable for those who are looking for just a coffee and a small bite and no long lines. It’s cozy here, and actually when I sat there for a moment I forgot I was in the airport. And the white leather seats are really soft and comfy ☺️
Nazgum S — Google review
I visited this place after deciding not to wait 45 minutes for an opening at Lounge 41 in Amsterdam Airport. I must say, I enjoyed my experience here. Although the food was mediocre, the restaurant was vacant, and the service was great. It’s worth noting that you have to order your food and then find a vacant seat. If you just sit at the bar (which I initially did), you’ll be met with a very long wait.
Anthony J — Google review
After long overseas flight and a long layover I decided I needed a drink. Found this place that served both drinks and some food. Had a Heineken (medium) and an apple bandit cider, never heard of it, but it was fantastic. And the small pizza hear was tasty. Great little stop to refuel for your flight.
Martin Z — Google review
This place is away from the main restaurants so was much quieter. Service was ok, the large poke bowl is fairly expensive, but big enough to share. Ours was odd with warm rice but super cold, borderline frozen salmon, which just didn't taste right, so we left most of it. I would stick to just drinks here.
Paul — Google review
The East Bar & Bites outlet on B concourse in Amsterdam's airport — also called Big Bites & Beer — would be a good place for a weary and jet-lagged international traveler to slake her or his thirst with good Heineken beer. Except for one thing: when we arrived at this place, there was a line of people who seemed to be buying take-out items, with a sign over the line saying it was a take-out line. To be sure we were doing the right thing, we asked a man sitting at the bar if we needed to get in line or if we could sit down and have the bartenders take our order. He told us the latter was normal, that the bartenders routinely served people sitting down at the bar. We did just that, only to be told very rudely by a man who seemed to be the manager that we were supposed to stand in the take-out line and order there. So we did that, with the man who had told us we could sit down apologizing to us and saying that same bartender had been serving others who sat down at the bar. We stood in line, got our glasses of Heineken, sat down, and the man who had rudely told us to stand in line then came up and served two people who sat down beside us. Rules that apply to some customers should apply to all customers. The essence of discrimination is to treat some people in a group differently from others in a group with no reason for the distinction. Why that man chose to discriminate against us, I don't know. But after that experience, I'd advise anyone seeking to have a glass of something cold and/or a sandwich at Big Bites & Beer in Amsterdam airport to look elsewhere. It's no fun experiencing discrimination of any kind, let alone the blatant kind we experienced at Big Bits & Beer/
William L — Google review
The poke bowl I had was surprisingly good and generous portions, although very expensive, but that’s to be expected from an airport bar. The price is the only reason I wouldn’t give this five stars. The staff was super friendly helpful quick But it is an airport, so the atmosphere is airport atmosphere
Sascha K — Google review
Didn’t actually eat anything here due to the two obnoxious staff members working. Avoid at all costs. A simple question about the menu and had an awful condescending response, to which they then whispered and looked me up and down whilst walking away.
Louise S — Google review
Best coffee! And a cheese plate was perfect for a low-sugar breakfast. Prices are good compared to what is around in the airport.

Bread

Mentioned on
3 lists
Restaurant
BREAD is a staple in Dutch bakeries, where you can find high-quality loaves for your meals. It's best to visit in the morning or at lunchtime to get the freshest options as they tend to sell out quickly. While supermarkets may run out by the end of the day, bakeries offer a reliable source of fresh bread. In airport terminals, freshly made sandwiches and pastries are available but can be pricey.
I had a Veggie pizza slice here and it was properly tasty and really good texture. All the food looks good and fresh. They have a small selection of interesting prepacked salads in a fridge near the coffee counter. There's loads of seating, some with charging and it's kept clean. Staff were friendly too. There are much worse places to eat so if you like sandwiches, sausgae rolls, pizza slices or salads try here.

A Taste of Local Flavor at Schiphol BREAD brand Bread offers a delightful selection of fresh, locally-sourced food and beverages. Their menu features a variety of tempting options, including: * Hearty Sandwiches: Crafted with fresh, locally-sourced ingredients, perfect for a quick and satisfying meal. * Savory Pizzas: A classic favorite, made with high-quality toppings and a crispy crust. * Flaky Croissants: A delectable treat, perfect for breakfast or a mid-day snack. * Refreshing Juices: A healthy and refreshing beverage option. * Rich Coffee: A perfect pick-me-up to start your day or accompany your meal. Whether you're looking for a quick bite or a leisurely meal, BREAD is the ideal place to satisfy your cravings at Schiphol Airport.
Akber P — Google review
The food was really delicious, I ate a really fresh and delicious pizza, but there was a problem with the line, the wait was very long because the coffee machine is at the cashier, and by the time I got to pay, the food was already almost ready. There is room for improvement in terms of service. Also there have a lot of space to seat. One more thing to improve it's the coffee desk Really dirty and there were no lids large enough for my coffee cup... a medium cup, which is the most popular size. Also the coffee is nice.
Yaron S — Google review
In Europe it’s really hard to mess up a sandwich, the cheese and the bread are delicious. Not at all this place. I hit the Chicken Salad sandwich and it was lame, flavorless, with a tiny amount of filling. 😡😡😡😡😡
Bruce B — Google review
€9.45 for a bag of crisps and a small can of Heineken. I know, it’s a rip-off, but what did you expect at an airport? The staff is always friendly though and the sandwiches look nice but since I’m not (yet) a millionaire I just get the crisps. And a Heineken because pre-flight beers are the best beers.
Auke G — Google review
For the price you pay, it’s worthless. Coffee is big disappointment. Food is OK ish, very hard bread though - felt stale / overcooked, palate is now sore due to over chewing- won’t eat salmon sandwich again. Coffee - worse coffee I have drunk so far this year. Coffee is stale too. Obviously it’s over priced like any other airport cafes. Big opportunity to win here, basics missing.

I HAD SUCH AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE AT AMSTERDAM SCHIPHOL INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT THAT I FELT COMPELLED TO WRITE A LETTER TO THE AIRPORT MANAGEMENT, AIRPORT CUSTOMER SERVICE, GOOGLE REVIEW, AND THE MANAGEMENT AND OWNER OF THE BREAD SHOP. TODAY, I DECIDED TO SHARE MY LETTER ON MY FACEBOOK WALL FOR THE WORLD TO SEE! -------------------------------------------------------------------------- (Here's my letter!) To whom it may concern: SUBJECT: ADAM BOUABID, EMPLOYEE OF BREAD SHOP @ AMSTERDAM SCHIPHOL INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT My name is RM Hansom, and I'm from Chicago, USA. It's been a month since I visited Europe, and one of the places I went to was Amsterdam, The Netherlands. I had always intended to write this letter, but I couldn't do it right away since I was back in my hometown of Chicago. The receipt from my purchases, on which I wrote the person's name and the reason, had been missing for a while, along with all the other papers I had with me. I found the receipt today, so I wasted no time writing this letter immediately! On June 13, 2024, I was at Schiphol International Airport around 11:05 a.m. While there, I went to the BREAD shop for a meal and paid with my credit card. Strangely, I completely forgot to take my card back from the register. It's puzzling how I could have forgotten something important, but it happened! After finishing my meal, I headed to the gate for my flight. It had been over an hour since I ate at BREAD. As I sat down, a young man named ADAM BOUABID approached me and asked if I had left my card at BREAD. Then, I realized my credit card wasn't in my wallet. ADAM handed me my card and explained that he had been searching for me at various locations in the airport to return it. He mentioned that he could vividly recall how I looked because of the American flag in my blue shirt. He mentioned that he works at BREAD. I was genuinely impressed by ADAM's unwavering honesty and determination in finding me—and he succeeded! If there's a single phrase to encapsulate his honesty and express gratitude, it would be simply ADAM! I have so much appreciation for ADAM that it prompted me to return to the bakery. I even took the time to speak with Adam's manager personally. I want to express my gratitude to both of them! I apologize for the delay in sending this letter, as the incident occurred over a month ago. Nonetheless, it's never too late to show appreciation for an exceptional employee like ADAM BOUABID. To the management of BREAD and the entire SCHIPHOL AMSTERDAM INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, you have an exceptional employee. Please retain him, consider him for advancement, and show him the recognition he deserves for his outstanding performance! Sincerely, RM Hansom 💖 from Chicago, USA 🇺🇸

Urban Food Market

Mentioned on

Food court
Located near Terminal M, Urban Food Market is a convenient eatery that offers a delightful selection of sandwiches. It presents itself as a favorable option for those seeking a tasty meal. Additionally, patrons have the opportunity to refill their water bottles at one of the available water fountains if needed.
Nice small cafe located in lounge 4 after security - reasonable priced food and drinks
Matt C — Google review
The two young men behind the counter were lovely and helpful. Unfortunately, we did not realize that they did not have a proper espresso machine. The latte was virtually tasteless. The sausage roll in pastry was unforgivably gummy, and also flavorless. The bacon and egg Panini did not raise the bar: gummy and flavorless. Not sure how anyone can make gummy bacon. A regrettable experience.
Nancy K — Google review
terrible, the guy currently at the checkout is rude and unhelpful. I asked for gluten free products and he replied that he didn't know anything. Then I found the sandwich and not being allergic but intolerant I asked to heat it up, the lady told me yes while the same guy wouldn't let me do it. Avoid him like the plague, absolute rudeness and incompetence of the guy. 17.12.2024 at 12.10.
Michael D — Google review
The most rudest person that works behind the counter and the medium cup coffee is filled halfway. Terrible
Anelle V — Google review
I got a salad from them.. but they don't have dressing! They told me: you can ask at the Light Lounge Cafe, maybe they have. Really?
Jérôme K — Google review
Worst store in terminal 3 Most expensive! Also sells drinks with the additional deposit and don’t take the bottles back in an Airport after security. Other stores do take it back in Terminal 3 and are way nicer.
Danny — Google review
Will charge you €3.50 for hot water
John A — Google review
Very unprofessional. The cashier (old lady short hair) was completely rude, I asked where to order the coffee and she replied in a non polite ironic way and then started to scream it to her colleague in Dutch (which I completely understood) "making fun" of me. I don't know how a company allows this type of behaviour. Will never go there again.

Starbucks

Coffee shop
Starbucks is a renowned coffeehouse chain originating from Seattle, offering its signature roasts and light bites. Since 1971, the company has been dedicated to ethically sourcing and roasting high-quality Arabica coffee. With an extensive presence of 30,000 retail stores in 78 markets worldwide, Starbucks is a leading specialty coffee roaster and retailer globally.
Server named Sekondir noticed I had been waiting a while for my drink for a while and we had a great little chat while I was waiting. Such a nice guy, made my day
Joshua L — Google review
My bad experience in Starbucks ever. It's probably not a good coffee and too bad it was just a little watery. I’m not joking, the location is nice because there is a waiting area right in front of it and it also has many very comfortable sofas. whatever, I've already talked about it. And then you want to say that I take brown cookies and latte coffee and throw them in the trash..
Sultan A — Google review
After several years of visits to this Starbucks in Schiphol airport, the time has come to find another cafe. Although they recently underwent a remodel and reopening, today was average level service and I noticed the drink recipes have changed for the worse. The exorbitant prices and "assembly line style" preparation of drinks leaves a bitter taste in your mouth. Ha! Just wait until you taste the coffee for yourself. What used to be a sure shot of flavorful coffee has become a crappy cup of brown flavored water served by pubescent teens just there to collect a paycheck. Coffee at Starbucks has become a joke...sorry for the sucky review but I don't think I am far off from speaking aloud what others are thinking. They just havent taken the time to share an honest review. Try harder Starbucks...you used to wear the crown of caffeine connoisseurs but it's no longer yours.
A G — Google review
The coffee was extremely hot, completely undrinkable. The taste wasn’t good either, really disappointing. I expected much better from Starbucks.
Núria R — Google review
Immensly long waiting times. The americano is watery and simply sucks. The flat white was okay, but literally tasted more like coffee than the americano. I like the mango chia pudding, but don''t get your coffee here.
Lotte C — Google review
Too overpriced. Many drinks are out of stock. The quality of coffee is really poor especially for this price. Also, workers here every time mispronounce my name so I never can be sure if the order is mine (even though my name is quite common and this never happened in other Starbucks locations)
V N — Google review
Queued up just to tell me that there is no Matcha Latte. This happens two time already. Just put a sign and don’t waste people’s time at an airport
DJ P — Google review
I visited here and although the staff were professional they didn’t have any ice cubes. Also the area around the cafe is very messy and trash left behind. This is not the fault of the staff but the people passing through the airport.

Per Tutti!

Mentioned on
3 lists
Pizza restaurant
Per Tutti! offers a variety of dining options, including grab-and-go for those in a hurry and the chance to sit down and enjoy pizza, pasta, or salads. Customers have praised the tasty spaghettis and delicious carbonara pasta with extra veggies. The restaurant has received positive feedback on its food quality, with particular praise for its pizzas. However, there have been some comments about service, suggesting that staff could be more attentive and friendly.
Was here 2 weeks ago and had the Spaghetti Bolognese so came back last night and had it again. Portion enough for 2 but my wife wanted either shrimps which came with a delicious sauce. Staff are always welcoming and friendly. Will definitely eat here again if I am at Schiphol.
Francis T — Google review
Last visited December 2024. I travel through the airport once a month and always tend to pass by this place. Thought I'd get a little early and try it out. Food looked good but tasted bland... had to put so much pepper to have any flavour. That was not the worst part..... within a few minutes of finishing, I had rush (carefully) to the toilets to....yep... when through the system..... Never again... otherwise I may not make it to the bathroom in time.
JGM — Google review
I visited this airport restaurant during a layover at Schiphol and was pleasantly surprised. Considering the generally poor reviews most restaurants in this airport receive, I didn’t expect much , but the pizza was actually better than expected and the beer was nice and cold. The place was quite noisy, and my table wasn’t very clean, but the kind staff made up for it. They spoke good English and clearly explained how the restaurant system works. Overall, a decent spot for a quick bite if you’re not too sensitive to noise.
Antonia E — Google review
I was pleasantly surprised by Per Tutti at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport —it’s far better than your typical airport dining spot! We ordered their Margherita pizza, and it was delicious. While it’s not a Neapolitan-style pizza (it uses processed mozzarella rather than fresh), the sauce and crust were the real stars—flavorful and perfectly done. The service was impressively quick, which is a huge plus when you’re navigating a busy airport. If you’re looking for restaurant-quality food but are short on time before your flight, Per Tutti is a fantastic choice. I’d definitely stop by again on my next layover at AMS!
Rajiv V — Google review
Delicious pizza – fresh, flavorful, and baked perfectly. Portion was generous, price was fair for the airport. I only ordered pizza and it was excellent!
Denis S — Google review
It was meh! I ordered some cannolis, they looked so good, but were too sweet to enjoy. Ordered other items and everything was okay.
Gabriel G — Google review
First things first, location, it is at the outside airport outside security, located near the subway entrance across from Burger King. Surprisingly we ended up eating here THREE times. Our hotel was located near the airport and had a free shuttle. When we were done exploring downtown for the day, we wanted to eat something we knew was affordable, delicious, and not far. Since our hotel was near the airport we could take the shuttle there. Our favorite dishes were the caprese salad Margarita pizza. Beats taking another Uber into the city for an expensive questionable meal we had already experienced earlier in the day. Sometimes predictable tastes best. Again, you most likely would just stop here once, and if you do I recommend the caprese salad and the Margarita salad.
Erin H — Google review
We were staying at a hotel near the airport and were looking for noodles because of the marathon the following day. For an airport snack bar, the food was very good. Perhaps it could have been a bit more substantial, but otherwise everything was great.

Grand Cafe Het Paleis

Cafe
Grand Cafe Het Paleis is a regal spot to grab a drink or enjoy a fresh meal from their extensive classic menu before catching your flight. While it may be on the pricier side, the quality of the food and service makes it worth it compared to other airport options. The restaurant at Schiphol Airport offers a nice selection of food, coffee, and drinks throughout the day. Despite being crowded at times, it's a good choice for dining at the airport.
Among the reviews it’s only bad or good apparently!? We are amongst the good ones! Of course it’s too expensive, but you know that, because it’s at an airport. But compared to other things you can get, price quality wise, this is a way better deal! The burger was a thick one, nothing special, just good enough. We were sharing it, so they served it already divided into 2 plates and everything double (fries, mayo etc) for the rest, without extra charges, very good service! The service in general was really good, especially for Dutch standards and especially in these days where it’s really hard to find good personnel! We shared the chocolate cake too and we almost regretted we shared it 😆 it was really good, so good, we forgot to take a picture of it 🤪😆 They had only 2 pieces left when we arrived, so asked if they could keep one for us and so they did 🤩 Even the Apple juice was freshly squeezed, or at least tasted like it 😉 Too bad they served that with a straw, many bartender’s always think only kids drink Apple juice, (I’ve been one for 20yrs, never assumed anything!!), that’s sooo 1984, that almost cost them the 5th star! 😉 (gevoelig puntje 🤪)

Meh. Perfect stage but slightly slow and very unremarkable. Maybe it was an off day but the food on the pass stayed stacked up for 5 to 10 minutes. ... That salad on top of the pass and thing next to it was there over 10 minutes so was the dish under. A burger came to me about 25 minutes later. The most significant thing was the soft hearty bread. If it wasn't 23 euros I'd be fine with it .... But for double the most expensive McDonald's meal I'd expect the meat to be the star and not this piece of meat loaf on bread. It's perfectly acceptable gas station or street vendor fair but at 4x the price. If someone ate 10 dollar McDonald's meals all their life then tasted this for 20 ... They would never come back. 3 beers and a burger 42 euros. It's the airport, take it or leave it. I will say my beers came very fast. The Tribune is right next to my B gate and it was grilling amazing looking burgers for 13 euros .... Just for comparison.
David B — Google review
Nice restaurant at Schiphol Airport, however it is really crowded. Sometimes the waiters are forgetting about you because they are running around all the time. I liked the beer and the hamburger I had, so I think it's a good choice for eating at the airport but also quite pricey.
Tímea A — Google review
Wow! The reviews to this place are so bad. If I had read them I would have avoided it! But since I was looking for a place to have a proper lunch in I went in here! There are enough sandwiches, burgers and coffees in the airport but a proper lunch? Well this was the nearest place from my gate. If you have time and patience or you just want to grab a couple of beers with some starters and kick back with a game of football go to this place. Else it's upto you. LOCATION - 4/5 FOOD - 4/5 AMBIANCE - 5/5 SERVICE - 3/5 COMFORT - 5/5 The location is particularly convenient which is probably why this place is full of people inspite of the bad reviews. Good for them! I ordered just one main dish which was Grilled Prawns (curry) that came with a salad and sweet potato fries/bread. This dish was absolutely fresh but the curry should have been warmer. It became cold soon enough and since it had a yogurt base it was difficult for me to eat it cold. Ambiance is really great. Yes, it's not a typically upscale or hipster but it has its own charm. The long doors and dividers, the cute tables and the long bar stools! All good. This place has 2 divisions. The first is as you enter and the another has the view of the runway which is cool but if you sit there chances are the servers won't attend you in time. And some servers talk a lot amongst themselves which to me is very unprofessional specially if you are ignoring the customers in waiting. Service - Some are friendly and professional while others seem non chalant. It's all upon your luck whom you get. I reached there around 2:45pm and I got my food within 10 minutes of arrival because the server attended me within a minute of my arrival luckily. But at the end when I had to pay the bill I couldn't spot the server for 10 minutes and sadly another server gave me the bill so I couldn't even tip. Comfort is optimal here. I loved it. If anyone in the management is taking suggestions to improve this cafe please talk to your colleagues - the servers and ask them to be more attentive to the customers and to keep an eye on the lookout for the customers coming in. The speed of the meal served to me was great but evidently it's bad when your staff is under pressure at peak hours. All the best.

Nice place for a quick drink when going on a holiday. We spend some time here while drinking a IPA and a wine. The patat was nice. Service was friendly and quick. Prices are what you expect on am airport. Anyway: nice start of our holiday. René and Menekşe.
Rene G — Google review
The food here is good and the interior looks nice. It is overpriced though (€36 for a salad, bitterballen, a coffee and an ice tea), the wait time is really long (we went on a quiet afternoon and the people who arrived a couple of minutes later then us were told they’d have to wait 45 minutes!) and the staff was rude.
Heleen R — Google review
The service was slow, the table was not freshly wiped, the meat was tough and somewhat cold and nobody even bothered to ask how the food was. Paying worked by waving to a waiter and being told to pay at the counter. The experience was very underwhelming considering I paid 30,55 EUR for the steak and a small coke.
Jan-Philipp L — Google review
A bit slow service and table not clean. But the guy from the kitchen bringing the food was nice and the nachos good. Price as expected in a airport.

It's not only a nicely decorated and inviting pub but the welcome one receives from the staff makes the difference. Very warm, friendly and inviting. Top !@

One beer 30cl and one Amstel was 14 euros very high prices - airport tariff. However, the staff was friendly and it has a nice outside sitting area at the corner of the airport so a bit away from the chaos.

It’s a nice little pub in the corner of the airport. I met a friend there between flights. Cozy atmosphere, good service, but wildly overpriced! €10 a pint 🍺 and €18 for 12 bitterballen is madness.

An expensive bar with pleasant staff and located just in the corner of the covered Schipol airport terminal, near the train station. The bar has an outside seating area too. Beers are expensive at 9euro a pint. The food I had was very poor. I ordered a burger, which came with only crisps (chips) and no fries. On my first bite, the overly fatty burger shot hot fat through the bun and onto my hands! The meat patty was far to fatty for my liking, I wouldn't expect that much liquid fat in a burger. Overall, a disappointing experience. Whilst the bar may be good, look elsewhere for food. (Burger King is nearby, has cheaper meals that also include chips and a drink!)

There was such a high level bar in the airport. You can eat sausage made from raw beef.French fries are normal. It is recommended. The price is not too high.
Yoshi M — Google review
The burger was super simple, but okay. What I liked most about this place was the service and the vibe. It's an airport, so of course it's expensive.
Ma R — Google review
Too expensive for the value you get, but still a nice place at landside of the airport to grab a drink when commuting onwards. Service level medium. Can be busy at times. From the bar you can go upstairs and get to check-in area 1/2 easily. Really too expensive for the value I repeat. 5 euro a Heineken beer.
Alex B — Google review
Nice place for a quiet frothy beer before embarking on the madness of the airport. Food portions (steak) are quite small as I watched a guest sit back and shock at his meal being delivered to him.

Sandwich shop
Mediterranean Sandwich Bar is a spacious eatery known for its delectable sandwich offerings. Located in Schiphol airport, it attracts a steady stream of tourists seeking satisfying sandwiches and coffee. Whether you opt for the classic cheese sandwich or pair it with an espresso, this bustling cafe is sure to provide a comforting culinary experience amidst the airport hustle and bustle.
This sandwich bar is huge and offers some delicious sandwiches, I just got the regular cheese sandwich and an expresso. This cafe is in Schiphol airport and is always crowded with tourists seeking sandwich and coffee solace.

I bought a tuna sandwich and I got dirt inside. disgusting... I went to look for the manager, he told me it's from the tuna... but in my mouth it was dirt with small stones. be careful.... do not buy in this disgusting place. I asked for my money back and they did.
Ciro — Google review
"I would feel embarrassed serving this food to a friend" Bread is hard and toppings are cubed and pulped to save money. Not sure how they eat sandwiches in the Mediterranean but these are gross and expensive. Wait staff seemed friendly.
Sean P — Google review
This has to be hands down the worst sandwich I have ever eaten in my life. The bread is dry to eat but somehow soaking wet, the chicken was dry the cheese was wet and stale and the peppers were wet. The bread was comparable to a doorstop in thickness. The muffin was alright but i don't believe these are made in house. The staff seemed lovely but even for airport standards, especially when this is one of the only 24/7 places, the food is just so awful that my partner who hadn't eaten all day preferred to go hungry
Iwan D — Google review
Sandwiches are ok, price is bit high as everything in airport. Coffee over priced and not tasty.
Lauris P — Google review
I had a delicious sandwich and a piece of apple pie at the Mediterranean sandwich bar, which was wonderful in and of itself. A few minutes later I realized that I had lost a very important item, a pouch containing my credit cards and cash for my trip. My deepest thanks to the lovely young lady who was on duty at the cash register around 11 AM on May 25. She rescued my lost item for me!
Kate F — Google review
They advertise gluten free sandwiches, which is highly misleading unless you want a prepackaged, cold, stale sandwich with nothing but cheese in it. Asked them if i could have ANY other sandwich just made with the same gluten free bread, and they said no. Honestly better not to offer anything to those of us who can't eat wheat or gluten for whatever reason... I mean, save us the disappointment before we inevitably go get a salad somewhere.
Evan R — Google review
The driest and most expensive sandwich I've ever had on Schiphol. In my opinion if you charge 7 euro for a sandwich, it should at least be fresh and satisfying, not leave long you feel ripped off. Oh, and it would be great if the people at the cashier at least tried to be nice to their customers instead of carrying on their private conversation with each other.

Happy Seafood

Seafood restaurant
Happy Seafood is a seafood restaurant located in the departures side of the terminal, past security. It is one among several cafe outlets in the area, offering a variety of dining options. The restaurant provides fast food that is both delicious and fresh, making it worth recommending. Additionally, Happy Seafood serves herring, which is considered a must-try for visitors. The staff at this establishment are friendly and provide excellent service.
That was some really great fish and some really great fish! 😍🤤 Served with some Surinam music that made me want to boogie. 💃🏻 I had the loaded kibbeling with wasabi and fries.
Lola M — Google review
Came here many times for its herring but I don't have the photo show. This time I tried the fish and fries. The fish was big and flavorful but a bit pricey. I would come here again just for herring. Some of the staff here are friendly.
Aziz G — Google review
If you’re passing through Schiphol and craving a taste of traditional Dutch seafood, Happy Seafood is a convenient stop. I tried their herring on a white bun, and it was fresh and flavorful, complemented perfectly by the onions and pickles. The kibbeling was crispy and satisfying, making for a delightful snack before my flight. While the prices are a bit on the higher side, which is typical for airport dining. The service was slow and not up to mark. Seating is limited, but it’s adequate for a quick bite.
Bishan S — Google review
Average price & helpful staff. Suitable cafe for quick lunch while waiting for check in. Staff allowed us to eat our own foods, as long as you bought their foods too.
Nor M — Google review
I used to like this place, but today I got told very rudely by the man sitting behind the desk that he is on break. Apparently he does not even know how to spell break… Everyone deserves a break, but he was not nice at all. Pity, I will find some food elsewhere where they hopefully are more friendly than this man.
Gerben K — Google review
70 eur for four small pieces of fast-food which took around 40 min to arrive, and then when asking for bread, first they charged me and then told me it is not ready and takes 5 min to prepare but after 10 min when I asked what happened they just started preparing. Bad service, mediocre food.
Amin D — Google review
SUMMARY The service was good however the food was just so-so, primarily the bread was a bit dry. I suggest you try scampi or something similar. Overall it is a good value meal for about €10. SERVICE The staff was polite and asked hhe right questions. Good. FOOD QUALITY The fish / protein of my burger was good, the potato wedges were good as well, however the burger bun was too dry.
Christian F — Google review
I have been selling for many years fish and chips and this is the most dry boring kibbeling I have ever had. The hearing is abit odd too. But I like the royal amount of pickels and union.

Eindhoven Airport

International airport
Airport
Eindhoven Airport is set to undergo a terminal expansion designed by EGM architects, Iv and Peutz, with completion expected in 2027. It's known as a budget-friendly airport, although it can get crowded during holidays. Despite its small size, it offers a relaxed atmosphere for short flights. The food past security is pricey but manageable. Passport control for non-EU citizens takes around 15 minutes, and the airport is well-connected to the city and other destinations via bus and train services.
Very good for such a small airport. At least when I visited, the lines were very short for bothering check-in and Security. Passport control was also quite effective. My experience here was actually way better than Schipol, although you do lack some of the amenities found elsewhere. There was also plenty of seating near gates 1 and also upstairs near gates 11 and 12. Everywhere else was crowded and loud.
David H — Google review
Building is in progress but ok overall, toilets are in nice condition but during checking employees are rude, disrespectful and highly unprofessional, they don't seem to want to do this line of work and it clearly shows, not the first time I'm experienced this but this time I felt the need to write it. Finally it would nice if flights leave in time and the control tower manage things better as delays are kinda the normal 10-20 mins delay is normal.
EvroNetwork — Google review
Both men’s restrooms were closed today (Oct 14, 2025) for cleaning between 7am and 7:45 (still closed.) First I tried the one before security, ground floor, by the main entrance and - closed for cleaning; same with the one after security. Not for a few min but for quite a while!! This is not ideal. Lucky for me, I found a potted plant in which to take a 💩. Just kidding, I did not do that, but this is abuse. Of course, nobody cares (some even cheer it) if men are the victims of abuse.
Dejan P — Google review
The worst airport in the universe. Completely understaffed and nothing is working. Hundreds of people lost our flights because the checkin baggage robots went out of order one by one. There was just one person for 15-16 machine that were going out of order every few minutes. Nobody cared about the people having delay because of their crappy machines to give them priority in the control.
Marinos T — Google review
Compact but convenient airport, especially with so many cheap flights across Europe — definitely a reason to choose it. They have self check-in desks, which are handy, though queues can get quite long for each of them. Parking around the airport is fairly priced, which is another plus. Security lines are generally okay, but if your luggage needs detailed checks, it can be a bit slow. The duty-free area is small, but there are enough seating areas inside (though a few more would help). I personally like being able to walk to the plane instead of taking a bus — even though the traffic is a bit chaotic outside, it still feels faster. Luggage drop can sometimes take longer than expected. Overall, I’d recommend this airport mainly for short-distance or cabin-only trips.
Nida Ö — Google review
A positive experience. Staff were friendly, it was easy going through passport control and it has lots of cafes and shops. No problems whatsoever.
James R — Google review
This is likely one of the best small Airports in Europe, the building really is small. The queues for scanning took quite some time and they could do with an expansion in that regard. However, it has a self-service baggage drop-off which was a first for me at any airport, I really felt like the future was here. The need to walk all the way to the plain in unpleasant weather was not great, a bus shuttle system would have made this much better. All in all, a good experience for the size of the airport.
Marcos — Google review
The airport itself is fine. The security control is pretty fast, you can reach the gates quickly, due to the small dimensions of the airport. The staff is polite and helpful. There’s quite enough space where to sit and wait for the flights, toilets are quietly clean. The biggest problem is the lack of good restaurants and cafes at the gates. The prices are too high and the variety and quality of food is bad.

Amsterdam Airport Schiphol

International airport
Airport
Amsterdam Airport Schiphol is a large and modern international hub with various transportation options, including a railway station and bus links. It's one of Europe's major airports, making it easily accessible from around the world. While flying is a popular choice, Amsterdam is well connected by trains, roads, ferries, and buses as well. Airlines like Transavia and EasyJet offer affordable flights to Schiphol Airport from other European cities.
Schiphol Airport is a very nice and well-organized airport. It’s spacious, clean, and has clear information displays everywhere, which makes it easy to navigate even for first-time travelers. The signboards, directions, and staff assistance are very helpful, so you never feel lost. There are plenty of facilities including restaurants, shops, lounges, and comfortable waiting areas. Security and immigration are usually smooth and well-managed compared to many other big airports. The connectivity to Amsterdam city is also excellent, with frequent trains and buses right from the airport. Overall, Schiphol is one of the most traveler-friendly airports, providing a hassle-free experience whether you’re arriving, departing, or just in transit.
Sunilkumar A — Google review
Schiphol is super organized and easy to get around. Lots of dining options, clear info screens everywhere, and public transport is amazing you can catch a train right from the airport to Amsterdam and other cities. Security is quick (you can even book in advance), usually less than 15 minutes. Even though it doesn’t feel huge, it’s still one of the busiest airports in the world. Overall, really smooth and convenient to travel through!
Fares A — Google review
Small to mid size airport but very efficient and staff members were friendly and welcoming 🙏 thanks a lot for the kind and make us feel a great welcoming experience. Immigration Service was very friendly and bag services came within reasonable times. Train station located very conveniently under the airport basement. Also purchasing tickets was user friendly. Only feedback the announcement could make English version too. Thanks ☺️

Amsterdam Schiphol Airport is the 3rd busiest airport in Europe. It’s located about 9 miles from city centre. It’s a huge airport with only one terminal and there departure halls. It’s very well maintained with clear signs for the comfort of passengers. It’s the base for Dutch airliner KLM. We had a morning flight at 7 AM and till then no business lounges had opened. We were told they open from 7 onwards.
Balkrishna S — Google review
This airport is awesome. The concourses are just the right size, great signage to get to anywhere you want to go in the airport or in the airport area, plenty of restaurants inside and outside of the airport with hotels, super convenient transportation with a train station included, and everything went smooth. All the staff at customs were very friendly and quick with their service. All the other staff were very helpful to other passengers who needed assistance. Getting a rental car from here was super easy as well. Overall, a very convenient airport to fly in and out to. Highly recommend this airport!

Amsterdam Schiphol International Airport is one of the nicest and most efficient airports I’ve traveled through. It’s spacious, clean, and very easy to navigate, even for international connections. The staff were friendly and helpful, making the entire travel experience smooth and stress-free. The KLM Lounge is also excellent, comfortable seating, great food and drink options, and plenty of space to relax before your flight. Overall, a top-tier airport that makes international travel surprisingly pleasant.
Benjamin K — Google review
Very well maintained airport, detailed instructions everywhere. Very kind staff considering the crazy number of travelers they have to deal with everyday. The airport has excellent cellular connectivity and fairly decent wifi. While on a layover for about 6 hours or longer, you can store your hand baggage in lockers by the gate, exit the airport using the sprinter trains and explore the city. The frequency of trains is pretty high. Just make sure to give yourself sufficient time to get through security and passport control on your way back as the lines are pretty long.
Explore M — Google review
I recently traveled through Amsterdam Schiphol Airport and I must say, I was impressed with the overall experience. The airport is modern, spacious, and very well-organized. From check-in to security, everything went smoothly and efficiently. The staff were friendly and professional, always willing to help when needed. What I really appreciated is the wide variety of shops, cafés, and restaurants there is something for everyone, whether you want a quick coffee or a proper meal before your flight. The signage throughout the airport is clear, making it easy to navigate, even for first-time visitors. Schiphol also has excellent transport connections to the city and beyond, which makes traveling very convenient. The atmosphere feels international, yet welcoming, and you really notice the attention to detail in terms of cleanliness and comfort. Overall, Schiphol is not just an airport, but a place where traveling feels stress-free and enjoyable. Definitely one of the best airports in Europe.
