Pub
The Ship Inn, located in March, is housed in a charming thatched building by the River Nene. With its original beams and historic ambiance, the bar offers a delightful setting for patrons. While it has discontinued its breakfast service due to staffing challenges and rising costs, the food at The Ship Inn receives high praise. Visitors appreciate the wide selection of real ales, including local favorites like Owl Beer. The pub's friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere make it an ideal spot to unwind by the canal.
30 years going from Bury St Edmunds to Ely, Peterborough etc and never called in at March.. A lovely little town with history and nice pubs.. Certainly know what they're doing.. Titanic Plum Porter, I'm often in Staffordshire and their premium ale. Girlfriend lives near Norwich so Wolf beers always on tap. The Wellington is a Wolf pub. Visited their brewery recently. Sly Wolf probably my favourite of all.. Then Timothy Taylor Landlord.. Champion Beer of Britain and multi award winning ale... I'll be visiting again soon..

Great little pub in the centre of March. Good place for a convivial drink with a good choice of ales and other drinks. Can be quite noisy when very busy. Well worth a visit.
Paul G — Google review
The Ship Inn. Privately run, lovely small quaint pun that looks like it could be in the countryside. 8 craft beers on tap, 6 changeable and 2 fixed. Fresh pints. Perfectly poured Guinness, with the tap pushed forward for the top up. Friendly service. 4 tables and some chairs out front, south facing.
James M — Google review
Stunning pub in a great location. The friendliest of staff. Highly recommend.
Ellen L — Google review
Great breakfast, my friend and I try different places for breakfast and this is currently one of the best on our list. We go by flavour rather than quantity and this is just the right size too. I didn't have the black pudding it's about an inch thick and my friend said it was excellent.
Stuart D — Google review
Probably the best pub in March, outside seating, differing real ales, nice interior.
Simon B — Google review
Familiar, favourite pub that gets it right again and again. Quiet, warm, welcoming. Everything a local local should be and quieter than the library if you want to read.

We ambled there and were pleasantly surprised: very friendly people and nice customers to talk too, we had come for a pint and ended with a delicious meal on top of that! Both the steak and kidney pie and the lamb shank were gorgeous and affordable, we definitely recommend this pub

Just had a lovely Easter lunch at the Rose and Crown! Service was fabulous, friendly and the food was freshly cooked, served hot and reasonably priced! The place has a lovely atmosphere and we will definitely be back!! Xx

First time I've ever been to the Rose & Crown in March and I was blown away! The staff are super friendly, the food was delicious and the prices were very reasonable, the pub was very clean and tidy and it looks like they have a really nice beer garden, where dogs are welcome, I will be trying the beer garden the next time I go!

Ye Olde Griffin

Pub
Ye Olde Griffin, located in March, is a charming pub and hotel housed in a former coaching inn. The establishment offers 11 straightforward yet comfortable rooms with free Wi-Fi and breakfast included. Guests can enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of the pub while indulging in Sunday Roasts, Bottomless Brunch, and watching sports on both Sky and BT Sport. Visitors have praised the friendly staff, modern and clean rooms, as well as the delicious food served at this lovely place.
I have stayed here several times while traveling for work. The staff are always very friendly, the rooms are always immaculate, and the food in the pub is good quality with a nice range of dishes. Free parking is also a huge benefit. There are big TVs in the pub to watch sport, and plenty of activities to get involved with if you fancy it, like Bingo and quizzes. Despite the hustle and bustle of the pub below, the rooms are pretty quiet. I would certainly recommend staying here.
Dylan K — Google review
My family came for the first time last night to play Tuesday bingo. It was a fantastic time and a good laugh. Incredible prizes! Quick service with regards to both food and drinks. I’d highly recommend the starters.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Absolutely Charming Stay at Ye Olde Griffin! I recently had the pleasure of staying at Ye Olde Griffin, and I must say—it exceeded all my expectations! From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed with warm hospitality and a cozy, historic charm that makes this place truly unique. The room was spotless, well-furnished, and incredibly comfortable, offering a perfect mix of traditional style and modern amenities. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud! What truly stood out was the staff—friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. Whether it was recommendations for local spots or quick service at the bar, they made sure everything was just right. The food at the pub was delicious, especially the hearty breakfast and the evening meals—great portions and rich flavors. The ambiance in the bar area was lively but still relaxed, perfect for winding down after a day out. Location-wise, it’s ideal—centrally located with easy access to nearby attractions. If you’re looking for a stay that blends comfort, character, and top-notch service, Ye Olde Griffin is the place. I’ll definitely be returning!
Dhanush M — Google review
A Great Night at Ye Olde Griffin! Came down to Ye Olde Griffin tonight for a bite to eat and to watch the football ended up staying for bingo too, since it was on at the same time. Thought, why not make a night of it? Chris, the bingo caller, absolutely smashed it! His calls were brilliant not your usual run-of-the-mill bingo lines, but ones that actually made you laugh and kept the energy up. He’s genuinely one of the best callers I’ve seen, really added to the whole experience. Didn’t manage a win myself, but hats off to the Three Lions who did! 🦁🦁🦁 The staff were also top notch friendly, attentive, and kept the good vibes going all evening. All in all, a cracking night out. Will definitely be back!

We've been coming to the Tuesday night bingo since it started a year ago today! It's always really fun and the atmosphere is great! Chris does a great job hosting and it's always great to have a sing along with the music bingo round 😊 We often order food and drink and it's always lovely and the service is good! Brilliant night out 😊
Victoria C — Google review
Stayed the night and the room was lovely. Shower water pressure could have been better but comfortable room. Good breakfast selection, I had a bacon and sausage sandwich, cooked to perfection.

We were beyond happy with the service and the food B&R provided. Many of our guests said it was the "best food they’d ever had at a wedding" and no one was left hungry. From the first conversation, until the end Jacob and the B&R team were kind, helpful and professional all the way through. We couldn’t recommend B&R more for any catering you might need. We couldn’t be more thankful to you and your team in making the day even more special and smooth running!

International Women’s Day So Glofitand50fit had another event 1st for 2025 at B&R Restaurant A Cocktail Masterclass with Connor and able assistant Matt We had a fabulous time A welcome Bellini, 3 cocktails, a shot and a signature cocktail, I’m squiffy for sure . Highly recommended.👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽🍸 Learnt about the history behind cocktails and certain ingredients and then made them ourselves and enjoyed our most excellent work 🤣 Sweet and savoury canapés made by chef Peter to accompany each cocktail were excellent. We added our own extra snacks too. A really lovely experience and great value 😊 Seriously squiffy afterwards 🤪 Thank you for having us I’m sure we will do it again 😊. #internationalwomensday #cocktails

B&R recently catered for our wedding and they were absolutely amazing from start to finish. Jacob, Sam and James (the chef we had) were brilliant. The food was delicious and everyone commented on how nice it was. The process of choosing our menu and the tasting session was also great, we were listened to at every stage and nothing was ever too much trouble when we asked if we could make tweaks and changes etc.. A really fantastic team that we wouldn't hesitate to recommend. Thank you so much B&R! :)
Jen — Google review
We had B&R dining for a private function before our daughter's wedding, where B&R also catered. Both were exceptional experiences. For the private dining the staff were all professional but also friendly and very respectful of being in our house. The food was served out in the garden and all was served hot and tasting fantastic. Our house was left exactly as they found it, which was vital as we had a wedding the next day. The wedding was a much bigger event, 120 people, but B&R managed it very professionally with extremely nice and competent staff. The staff had to cope with quite a bit of chaos re the timings but they kept smiling and the food was still a triumph, especially a very high quality cut of beef. Highly recommended.
Martin J — Google review
B&R Dining was recommended to us by our wedding venue and we are SO glad we listened because they were absolutely fantastic! The chef took on board our feedback from the tasting and adjusted the dishes to suit our preferences, and Connor was super helpful and communicative in the lead up. We always felt like we were in safe hands, undoubtedly helped by their attitude towards dietary requirements - one of our guest was so impressed with the way their severe allergies were managed that they approached the kitchen and thanked the chef personally after the meal! Wedding food often gets a bad rep so it's lovely to hear people raving about ours. Thanks to everyone at B&R who contributed to making our day special.
Matt B — Google review
From the moment we booked B&R dining for our wedding they have been amazing. They kept in touch and told us what steps would be taken and when. The menu tasting was relaxed and they were so welcoming and accommodating, we had a few individual requirements and nothing was too much trouble. We then had a few last minute changes about a week before the wedding and they just made sure it was done. The wedding day itself, the food was delicious, the service was fantastic and the staff that were serving us were amazing and very helpful. Would highly recommend.
Tracy H — Google review
Our daughter and ( brand new) son-in-law booked b & r dining for their recent wedding at Godwick Barns ( August 2025). From our tasting visit, we knew we would be in very safe, professional hands and the team led by Connor lived up to our highest expectations. From the set up day, nothing was too much trouble and we welcomed their advice and experience. The food (canapés, 2 course dinner, and then evening buffet was delicious, plentiful and beautifully presented. The serving team were friendly, smiley and extremely efficient ( definitely the best among many of the large scale functions we have attended.) There were over 90 guests with a range of dietary requirements and everyone commented on the high quality food and service. We were delighted and would highly recommend b & r to anyone planning a function.
Alison B — Google review
We loved working with Jacob and the entire B&R team! The food was incredible and we couldn’t be happier with the service. We didn’t have to think about anything on the day - which is so ideal! They also made the planning process super easy and the tasting day was a fab experience as well. Couldn’t recommend more!

Domino's Pizza - March

Mentioned on

Pizza delivery
Domino's Pizza - March is a popular food delivery and carryout chain that offers a wide selection of pizzas, as well as various other dishes and sides. The delivery service is known for its fast turnaround time, usually between 6-8 minutes. Interestingly, customers have observed that the quality of the food seems to be better during the evenings and nights, possibly due to different cooking methods.
Good pizzas everytime, very small waiting time aswell.
Matthew A — Google review
Quality control is awful. We order from here regularly and more than half the time my veggie supreme has arrived with chunks of chicken, pepperoni or ham on it. After the last time we decided enough is ENOUGH and we won't be ordering from this branch until quality control is improved. I have not had this issue with any other branch and it is unacceptable. The odd mistake like this is understandable but it's been happening almost every time we order recently.
Ianamus — Google review
This was a great joint for lunch, with welcoming staff who listened when we spoke to them about orders! I had the Carbonara Pizza at a table and it was nice, although cheese was not as good quality as other places.

Sometimes they give u a free pizza Michelle is the goat for giving us a free pizza
Slothgames — Google review
The food is good but its the second time they have an item missing. Tonight it was the coleslaw, last time was the ice cream.
Vera O — Google review
I placed an order and I was called by one of the members of staff telling me that they can’t make the food because of the amount of flies in the building due to the heat, cannot refund until 3-5 working days. What is that even about what restaurant is unable to make food because it’s “unsafe” as the lady said. Will not be ordering again if they can’t make food due to the amount of flies in the building
Patrycja C — Google review
Pizzas were lovely but was quite disappointed to find the double decadence I'd paid extra for was next to none existent. Can you please make sure in the future that if someone pays for this extra that you actually put a decent amount in so they can actually taste it.🙄
Dan G — Google review
Worst customer service, partner has NHS card but the so called manager said we cannot use this card as our order was part of a deal, nowhere on their web site does it state this cannot be used in conjunction with meal deals, I will be calling head office first thing Monday morning as I now have a hungry family, domino’s really need to employ people who understand the law and not cheap labour from overseas.

Gurkha Spice

Indian restaurant
Nepalese restaurant
Gurkha Spice is a delightful culinary gem that offers an unexpected twist on traditional Indian cuisine. Nestled in a charming location, this restaurant has garnered rave reviews for its flavorful dishes and attentive service. Diners can indulge in a variety of options, from the succulent chicken tikka masala paired with garlic naan to the spicy chicken phall complemented by special fried rice. The set menu available on Thursdays and Sundays adds great value to your dining experience.
Great food, great service and good value for money. We were lucky enough to get a table without a booking but 3 sets of people were turned away while we were there as the place was fully booked, on a Thursday!. So be sure to make a reservation. Would definitely recommend the Goat Curry and the Kathmandu Chicken.
Wayne B — Google review
Regrettably our second visit to the restaurant was extremely underwhelming, food wasn't great at all, we left majority of our dishes uneaten, nothing tasted like it did on our initial visit about 4 months prior to that. Tandoori meats were dry and extremely chewy with an awful texture. We left very disappointed and decided to never go back. Sure first time around it was a good overall experience, unfortunately consistency just isn't there and that is a huge part of repeating business, making sure that everything is always prepared to the restaurant's best ability. This was just not the case and the food was pretty bad second time around. The restaurant seems to be always very busy so I'm guessing maybe we were just unlucky, however with quite high prices and eating out being a luxury l feel like consistency in food quality should be key and also a reason why we decided to avoid it from now on. To end it on a positive note l must say that the service provided was of a very good standard overall.

Just here in March for a short break & discovered this restaurant. Special set meal £14.95 each on a Thursday night. We were the first in (5pm) and made very welcome. The meal was faultless ~ poppodoms & chutneys, any starter, main course, rice or nan! Very enjoyable, service was friendly and efficient. The restaurant was filling up when we left so you might need to book if eating later than we did. Highly recommended, well worth a visit!

I fancied a vegetable Korma, so I ordered one. I loved the last one I had from there. It was delicious! It lasted me 2 days. There was plenty of it. Staff were polite and professional and as I was waiting for my order I took in the ambience. It's a really nice place to have a meal. We'll worth a visit.
Jez A — Google review
I was the only one in the restaurant (late & midweek so no great surprise) so.ignore the 1 star. It's in decent spot on the high street & the decor is unique & looks expensive. I had read some mixed reviews & hoped for the best. The menu had no descriptions of the dish so I was relying on memory of 30+ dishes to make a decision. The service was nice & friendly but the food was standard cheapo curry. The chicken wasn't freshly cooked & the colour of the sauce matched all the review photos (meaning each dish is just a stock sauce modified to suite some general ' recipe'.. as in; sauce + loads of onions = Jalfrezi. Sauce & ++ chilli = vindaloo). The rice was multi coloured with food colouring taking me back 1990's Ladypool Road. I now know why this place was quiet because I have eaten at the Napali restaurant down the road.
Togalosh S — Google review
Do not order king prawn curry from here, they chop them into small pieces so they can get away with only 2 prawns inside, was outrageous the size of pot i got of sauce and i literally had to search for the prawns, also the sauce was not a madras it was sweet and tomato. the management wouldn't even talk to me about my complaint only a child on the phone taking calls. Avoid

Absolutely incredible place to eat and dine in, Sadik and Abdul made our experience exceptional. The meat and sauce was absolutely incredible, one of the only places with such succulent chicken and lamb. They specially opened the store for us when the place was closed and did everything to accommodate our every need. I’m personally on a mission to find the hottest curry and they provided me with my wish safely and professionally. One of the best places I’ve ever eatean, highly recommend!!!
Declan C — Google review
If I wanted a sweet pudding with chicken I'd have made it but this place does not make a pathia properly. Since when should a pathia be pure sugar granules and coconut and its never been red. I used to have pathia in Sawtry but now this restaurant destroyed every enjoyment of it and charged a ridiculous amount for a tub of liquid that tasted like a toss up of coconut macaroons and pure sugar. Absolutely disgusting dish, never try from here
Sniffle T — Google review
The best Indian me and my partner have ever ordered, came swiftly and piping hot! Everything tasted fresh, the popadoms were crunchy and not bland, the onion bhajis were incredible! Will not be using anyone else in future, thank you spice bank

Nestled on Station Road in March, the Purple Diamond is a delightful culinary gem that boasts an extensive menu featuring both set meals and enticing chef's specials. Diners can indulge in a variety of dishes, including Peking-style spare ribs, aromatic duck, chicken in oyster sauce, garlic chili beef, and Szechuan-style roasted honey pork. This family-run establishment is known for its warm hospitality and friendly staff.
We had a lovely meal here, we drove a long way as they have lots of gluten free choices which was very appreciated by this coeliac!! The staff were very nice and even moved us when we got cold from the door opening and shutting. Excellent selection of starters and good size portions, only thing that was missing was soups. We will definitely be back again and recommend especially for Gluten free options.

Popped in for a meal. The waitress was very knowledgeable and helped make some choice and was able to explain dishes on the menu perfectly. We decided on the buffet option. The food was plentiful and tasty. Dish sizes were good and we were catered for perfectly.

Very poor. Not great service and waited to be asked if I wanted to order but had not even been offered a drink and then the young lady didn’t know what draft was. Only had starters and requested the bill as was not prepared to risk trying any more poor quality food being served up. Satay chicken was bland plain chunks of chicken but did have a nice sauce to dip the plain chicken chunks into. Salt and pepper chicken wings were dreadful and honestly the worst ever served to me. I usually love them and always order and could not even eat them and so small too! Don’t waste your time going to be disappointed is my advice
Stevie S — Google review
My husband and I went for a meal at this restaurant on a Saturday night around 7pm Only one other couple in the restaurant We ordered the starters picking a selection my husband was eating the spare ribs and after eating some of it found the middle to be freezing cold , the other one was also cold on inspection. We left the rest of the starters The 2nd course took half hour to come out and tbh didn't fancy it . My husband had white bits in his water so we asked for a new glass and that had all white scum at bottom of it . The young girl seemed desperate for us to go as she suggested we take the third course away with us ..I told her we rarely get chance to go out but at this point we had ,had enough I wanted to go . I'm hoping my husband isn't ill from the cold food . It really has gone down hill and I feel bad for them but the fact it's empty on a Saturday night speaks for itself . Will not be going back All I can taste in my mouth is soap. The only nice bit was the the prawn crackers . Luckily they didn't charge us .

24th May 2024-4 people-If I could give a zero I would for food as we never got to try it, as no food was served to us until 75mins of us arriving, which was less than half the starters we ordered. I had prebooked, it was not busy..lots of empty tables, I had said it was a special birthday. Everyone who came in got served before us. I heard takeaways being told 30 mins. It would have been quicker to order our takeaway to our table. They would not let us order our mains even when half starter arrived, as were too busy...with deliveries. Obviously they are only concerned about takeaways and not restaurant. We had not made a fuss, but when the rest of the starters never arrived after an hour and a half we spoke to the staff and said we couldnt wait, so we're leaving. Staff said sorry, blamed kitchen..., but was not really sorry as we only got an apology when we said something, however our order had been obviously taken wrong..and don't blame the new young girl, she did not take our order... We did not eat the starter that was delivered as wanted to wait for others starters. We did get the drinks free but for a birthday prebooked meal out...what a disaster. We spent less time at gurkha spice who accommodated us late, ordering, served, eating and enjoying. I'd suggest you close the restaurant at weekends if you can't look after customers who prebooked because of takeaways. Never to return.

We stopped for a morning treat. Enjoyed a selection of cakes - and delighted with the choice and quality, including gluten-free options. Coffee was good- no soya milk available with oat milk offered. Excellent selection of soft drinks. A friendly welcome and service throughout our stay. Definitely recommend 👌

A lovely clean establishment with lovely food. The staff were friendly and the service was 1st Class.

Absolutely amazing food. First time and we loved the food. Will be trying out more because the chef preparing these meals were incredible. Definitely recommend. Chicken, avocado salad went down such a treat. Beautiful salad. 🙌🎉

Just had my first meal here. Lovely atmosphere, food was amazing and excellent value for money. The staff were very good, gave reccomendations when we asked, couldn't fault the service, came and checked everything was OK , but without being overbearing. Would definitely reccomend and can't wait to go back .

Didn't take any pictures, but really should have, I had the avocados and poached eggs, presented beautifully, and was very tasty indeed. The sourdough toast was excellent, too. Huge choice of Tea's. Will definitely go again and highly recommend you try it.

Visited of a weekend for lunch and loved it from start to finish! Great food, cheerful staff, and a nice atmosphere that isn't ruined by overly loud music. Booking is recommended for weekends as they got very busy around lunchtime. I wish they would offer the luxury afternoon tea without the alcohol but that's a minor issue that shouldn't affect the rating!

Went to the Exchange for a quite group meal with friends, as someone with Coeliac disease I require gluten free food. Ordered a platter which came with focaccia bread, I didn’t know you could get gluten free versions of this so we queried it to be told it was all gluten free. Ordered some other tapas bits too also told gluten free, wasn’t until the mains came out I realised the started was not gluten free, the server assuming the manager denied the fact we’d double checked for gluten free and hid from me for the duration of our visit. Didn’t offer an apology or anything, absolutely awful treatment of a customer who specifically asked if the items were gluten free!!!

Pub
Restaurant
The Seven Stars pub offers fantastic cuisine and a delightful atmosphere with both indoor and outdoor seating options. However, some recent changes have left customers disappointed. The outdoor seating area has been removed, which was a disappointment for patrons who enjoyed dining al fresco. Furthermore, there have been issues with the presentation of certain dishes, such as a pie being served in an ill-fitting tin and an unusual pastry shape on top. The filling lacked seasoning, resulting in a lackluster taste experience.
Really good variety of gluten free options, even have gluten free pies! Food arrived piping hot and was delicious. Pub is very dog friendly - we sat on a table in the bar area with our dog

Rude and lazy waitress! I was massively looking forward to taking my husband for a birthday meal and now I regret picking this as a place to go and feel I have let him down. On entering the pub I was told to go sit on a table in the corner but not which one. We got put on a tiny table crampt in the corner when there were lots of bigger ones spare. Waited a while to be served. I will say the food was lovely. However, when it came to pay I was treated like I was in the way. I waited for my turn and the waitress shoved the card reader in my face, no bill for me to review. I tapped my card and she rushed away to speak to someone else before the card had even cleared, not a word said, we were both speechless then left when it was evident she wasn't bothered about us. So unwelcoming and I am upset that my husband had that treatment on his birthday. I expect some sort of ammends on this

We come here quite regularly but todays meal was a let down because of the service. We were the first customers to arrive at midday sat down my husband ordered the drinks then we asked the lady for a minute to look at the menu before ordering out food. She then went on to serve everyone else in the pub as some more people had arrived meaning that our food took so long to arrive that we had to have it as a take away as we had an appointment to get to. The lady was not apologetic about the wait and surely it's common sense if a larger table comes in to take a smaller tables order first so that they aren't sat there waiting for their food for a long time. So we have paid over £48 for a take away for three people. I haven't left a low star review as every other time we have been in the food and service has been good but this time it was a let down

Had Sunday meal here 13th April 2025. There were 4 of us . We all had different meals which is good because alot of places only do Sunday roast .we all had 3 courses and all the food was hot and well presented. There was only 2 working but coped well . The pub itself inside looks a bit shabby but don't let that put you off great place for dinner . And a good price great value for money

Very disappointed. We ordered our food to be told there's a bit of a wait and the waitress would let us know how long and to take our seat. We waited 30 minutes so hubby went to the bar and asked ref the food to be told it's cooking now, so hubby paid for our food. Food was OK I had lasagne and hubby the pie.... So as we finish our meal we get up to leave for a waitress to appear out of nowhere and asked us to pay, hubby says I have... Waitress do you have your receipt to which hubby shows her the receip, she didn't look to happy god knows why.. I know some places have had issues with non payments but it's a pity she wasn't as quick to let us know ref our food..... Not impressed and won't be back.

London Stansted Airport

International airport
Airport
London Stansted Airport is a hub for low-cost European flights and offers convenient access to the M11 express train. While it may be crowded during peak season, the airport provides clear instructions and directions for passengers. The seating options are limited, but there are shops, currency exchange services, and water stations available after passport control. Staff members are generally friendly and helpful, making arrivals a pleasant experience. However, long layovers may be challenging due to the condition of some departure gate seats.
Today was a good day…all smooth and fast. Though it was fairly early for the 6:45 flight, from stepping in all was great. No queuing or waiting time at all. Flying to Germany and the plane is kinda ready to take off at 6:20am. Positive experience.

I flew from London Stansted Airport and overall had a great experience. The airport is very organized, clean, and easy to navigate. Security control was super quick – even with the crowds, I passed through in under 10 minutes! There are lots of shops, restaurants, and places to grab snacks or souvenirs, which made waiting much more enjoyable. However, it can get very crowded, especially around check-in and boarding time. My flight was delayed, which is why I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5, and I also noticed that some gates are very far away – it took me almost 10 minutes to walk to mine! So make sure to check your gate early and be ready to move quickly. Overall, a very good airport for both short and long flights, just a bit busy – but well managed!

I was really impressed with London Stansted Airport on my recent trip. Everything ran super smoothly from start to finish — check-in was quick, security moved fast, and the staff were genuinely friendly and helpful. The airport itself is bright, clean, and easy to find your way around, which makes a huge difference when you’re traveling. There’s a good mix of shops and restaurants too — plenty of options to grab a coffee or something to eat while waiting for your flight. Getting to and from the airport was straightforward as well, with clear signs and good transport links. Overall, it was a really stress-free experience and definitely one of the better airports I’ve flown through. I wouldn’t hesitate to fly from Stansted again!

The cheapest way to get to Stansted is to take the national express coach. The Stansted express train is quite expensive compared to the couch service. Stansted airport is pretty much the Homebase of Ryanair. The airport is pretty basic. There aren’t many seats for passengers to relax. I would recommend the Wetherspoon there. It is not expensive. There is not much children facilities, no soft play or any area for young children. However there is a Hemleys toy shop. Some gates will need shuttle train, kids love that. The security check service is good. Passengers don’t need to take out the electronic devices and liquids out. There are some water fountains after security checks. Bring your own bottle and save few pounds on bottled water.

A very busy airport Monday noon. 20 mins to get through security. Although they do have the scanners. Lots of bars, shops, restaurants and cafes. Even a spoons!! Lots of parking Easy to navigate

Fast, smooth and reasonably nice. We quickly moved through security(saving time by not needing baggage drop off as we bought an overhead bag) and through to the shops. A wide range of provisions. Lots of seats and lots of people. I traveled on a thursday and although at first there was limited seats, spaces quickly appeared as people left for their gates. Our flight was delayed so we spent a lot of time here. It was made easier by the comfortable seats, free WiFi and USB charging ports so I plugged in and watched some plane crash documentaries. I had Burger King but there’s many other option too. There are limited toilets that are poorly signposted. There is one just off the main area with all the seats(water fountain there too). It was also incredibly hot with poor ventilation, especially outside the gates. Nice airport seemingly focusing on budget airlines. Edit: Just as quick on the return. The E-gates allowed us to get through in two minutes.

I recently travelled from Stansted Airport and had a smooth experience from start to finish. I took the Stansted Express train from Tottenham Hale Station, which was fast, comfortable, and arrived right at the airport — very convenient! The check-in process was quick and well-organised, with clear signs everywhere to guide passengers. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially at security, where everything moved efficiently. There are plenty of shops, cafés, and seating areas, making the wait before the flight pleasant. Overall, a great airport for easy and stress-free travel! ✈️

Last time they had a coffee machine fire, but caused such a mess with following the incorrect protocol, that 3000 people delayed or canceled their plans! Had to sleep in the car like a dog as no one toqld is Ryanair will fly us on the next day..... Wrote email to both companies, £200 and a day later I've made it to Rhodes, holiday ruined, no compensation, plans destroyed and yet they still closing the Airport overnight and people sleeping rough everywhere, purely because they don't want to pay night shifts rates and got cartels negotiation with the flying operators. Avoid on any price, as on the End you will pay more than flying Business class with Emirates, but receive dogs treatment from the stuff and wording like "You should of pay for a hotel Sir" Absolute Clowns 🤡

London Luton Airport

Airport
International airport
London Luton Airport is a hilltop airport that primarily serves domestic and European destinations, particularly by low-cost airlines. It offers plentiful transfer options such as bus and rail services. While public transportation is easily accessible, traveling by car may be the best option to reach most attractions. The terminal is spacious and clean with ample facilities including restrooms, water filling stations, restaurants, cafes, duty-free shops, clear directional signs, and a variety of amenities for travelers' convenience.
Departing from Luton Airport was a smooth and efficient experience that made traveling stress-free. The airport was easy to reach, and once inside, I found it well-organized with clear signage that made check-in and security straightforward. The staff were helpful and kept everything moving quickly, which I really appreciated. I also enjoyed the variety of shops and cafés, which made waiting for my flight more comfortable. The atmosphere was lively yet well-managed, and the facilities were clean and modern. Luton Airport provided a seamless departure experience and left me with a very positive impression.

I had a few flights here along the time so I will share my key take-aways: - if you have a connection, speak to the staff, they will guide you to cut the queues. - mornings are extremely busy, do take into account their recommendation to arrive 2.5 - 3 hours earlier (if you also want to check out their shops and do some shopping). - if it is a straightforward go to the gate, the standard 2 hours will suffice. - you might not get seats in the crowded mornings. At 11 am was decent, but at 6 was full. - the bathrooms are mostly clean, but again, get ready to queue when the flight schedule is busy.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Brilliant Experience at Luton Airport! I recently passed through Luton Airport for the first time in over a decade, and what an amazing transformation! The upgrades made in recent years have completely paid off — creating a travel experience that, in my opinion, now outshines other outer London airports. The journey from St Pancras was quick and easy, with the Luton DART transfer being an absolute game-changer — efficient, modern, and seamless. Check-in and security were smooth and well organised, and the internal layout of the airport is clear, well signed, and pleasantly uncluttered. I was also impressed by the range of food and shopping options, and the staff were fantastic — friendly, helpful, and professional throughout. It made my recent weekend trip completely stress-free and genuinely enjoyable from start to finish. Congratulations to everyone involved in the redesign and to all the staff who make the airport run so smoothly. A truly brilliant job, Luton Airport!

I recently flew from Luton Airport to Amsterdam and had a really good experience overall. The staff were very courteous and helpful throughout the process, from check-in to security. The airport itself was clean, organised, and easy to navigate, which made the whole experience smooth and stress-free. There are also some nice coffee shops where you can relax before your flight, a pleasant surprise compared to many other busy airports. Overall, a solid 4-star experience, efficient, friendly, and comfortable!

The airport itself is fine for the most part — check-in and security were reasonably smooth, and staff were polite. However, during this recent heat wave the air conditioning was almost nonexistent. It was uncomfortably hot in the terminal, making the wait for boarding unpleasant. A bit more attention to climate control would make a big difference for passenger comfort.
Mohamed F — Google review
Good food options and clean toilets. A bit crammed and long walk outside from terminal to the car park and drop off/pick up. They even have shops outside. It’s really not nice when you have to walk in the freezing cold. They need to build an extension and cover the walkway to carpark.
Oana G — Google review
The access between Luton Airport and the center of London is not the most convenient, yet once you are at the airport, you find it very convenient and efficient. I got there very early in the morning. The place was fully crowded, but the check-in and security went very quickly. Inside, there is a large number of the usual duty-free stores, as well as a variety of restaurants and coffee shops. I spent more than two hours there—it was bearable…..
Gaby — Google review
Luton is by far my most hated airport. It feels so far away, and the transport links are poor, which already makes the journey stressful before you even arrive. Once you get there, the building itself feels like a giant tin shed, always crammed with people and unbearably hot. The queues are endless, no matter the time of day, and with so many people squeezed into such a small space, you constantly find yourself being bumped into. Yes, there are places to eat and shop, but they don’t make up for the sheer chaos of the experience. The overcrowding, the heat, and the long waits make everything feel overwhelming. Overall, it’s a stressful, uncomfortable airport that I try to avoid at all costs.
