Amazing! The atmosphere is great, super relaxing with beds you can enjoy the sea view from. The food was absolutely delicious (recommend the Singapore crab) and the staff are great. Lochan and one of the owners went out of their way to help us organise a day trip and were really friendly and kind to us. Couldn't recommend more highly 🌴☀️🌴

Extremely disappointed with my visit here. Despite buying food and sitting down for less than 10 minutes, a staff member asked us to leave the table because it was “a crowded day.” I was about to do a short 15-minute meeting on my laptop while enjoying my food, but instead, I felt pushed out and unwelcome. Disappointed with the Service I recently placed an order with P&S and was extremely disappointed with my experience. Despite paying for all the items in my order, I did not receive everything I was charged for. This is completely unacceptable, as customers expect to get exactly what they paid for. We had a really lovely stay! The hotel had a calm and peaceful atmosphere, which made it easy to relax. Our room had a stunning beach view that we enjoyed every morning. Everything was clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful, which made us feel welcome would definitely stay here again!

Stayed for a few nights in November and have eaten here often. Frankly , the rooms are 5 star - beautifully fitted out with top end fittings in a superbly tiled shower and toilet area. I would recommend , unreservedly , this place to anyone and would mention I have travelled throughout Sri Lanka. Food is excellent in the beach front restaurant.

This is my honest review of the restaurant La Kurumba on east coast of Sri Lanka. This restaurant, located right next to the beach, offers a pleasant dining experience in a shadowed area, well-protected from the wind—a real plus during the midday heat. I had a simple fried rice with prawns, which was tasty, well-seasoned, and cooked just right. While the prawns were small and not very plentiful, the dish overall was enjoyable and very reasonably priced. The value for money was solid, though it’s important to set expectations—this is not a high-end gastronomic experience, but rather a casual, satisfying beachside meal. A good choice for a relaxed and affordable bite by the sea!

One of the best accomodations on my Sri Lanka trip. The room was perfect, with a great ocean view from the balcony. Air conditioning and a fridge of course. However, they should change their towels - they are worn out and after using them you end up covered in textile particles. But the location is really great. It is on the beach and the beach is not crowded at all. It is a safe place to swim. I can't stress this enough - the beach is very beautiful.

I stayed here for 16 nights with my partner and we had a wonderful time. It was our first time in Sri Lanka and the staff at La Kurumba contributed greatly to the fact we felt so comfortable right away. We stayed in the "jane room" and we also got a good look at the two new rooms the owner built on top, which definitely meet my definition for a luxury room. The Hotel meets my european definition of a very comfortable, clean and well equipped place. The rooms are stocked with all nessecities including shampoo, body wash, hair drier, mini fridge and upon request the staff will accomodate additional wishes. The staff here will give its all to fulfill every wish you have and are very polite. The restaurant makes beautiful and tasty dishes and as a vegetarian i felt very well taken care of. there are multiple beach chairs with small banana leaf rooves for shade and also individual chairs for sunbathing. Beach towels will be provided upon request. There is a Keells supermarket about 5-10 minutes by foot. We highly recommend this hotel & restaurant, great job, La Kurumba!

Stopped here at an odd time of the day to get some late lunch and a drink. We got drinks, a chicken fried rice and grilled prawns. Staff were friendly and attentive. Drinks were freshly made with local ingredients and well balanced. Food was yummy, generous potions and well worth the price. They don’t have parking but if you manage to park somewhere on the road, this place will definitely fix you up.

Undoubtedly, the real taste of India. Delicious food. Very humble n pleasant staff, run by two humble n soft spoken Ladies. They have Indian chef for Indian food. Located in one of the interior Road but worth visiting. If you are a fan of masala tea, this is a place for you. Highly recommended.

We ordered one butter chicken and one chicken biriyani, we were three people but only two of us wanted to eat. When the food arrived we quickly realized that we'd need all hands on deck to manage this task! The portions where really big even with our friend helping us we still couldn't finish it all. It was also tasty as hell, chicken that was still juicy in both the biriyani and the curry. All in all a very good meal, and comparing to Hikkaduwa where we arrived from, the price is a steal!

Very nice place. They have an Indian chef and all the food tasted like real Indian. Average prices and good host. Be careful, the curry is much more spicy than the local ones, but as much more tasty. Tandoori chicken was also delicious.

The only good thing about the place is it’s hygienic and the staff is super courteous. We read good reviews and hence went there. The food was not tasty at all. Chicken tandoori could have been much better. Rice was not well cooked. Dal had a smell of raw turmeric, turmeric should be added when giving a tadka in the beginning! Biryani had a lot of salt and was not tasty at all. Far far away from Indian authentic taste. May be their other food items are good but the ones we had were not at all as per our taste. Hope they read the review and improve on the taste.

Thandoori chicken fried rice is our choice when we are buying here. Sometimes we feee like its litte bit more oily than before. However they are giving good portion for the price they take. All Price rangs are mid range.

The pizza itself was fine, no complaints there. However, this review is about the claw toy machine inside the premises, which completely ruined the dining experience for our group. We went in with five kids (all around 6 years old) who were excited to play the machine. After spending thousands, they managed to get four toys, but the fifth never came out. Understandably, one child was left upset without a toy. We politely asked the staff if we could purchase one separately to make things right, but they refused. Then, we noticed an abandoned toy lying around, covered in dust. We cleaned it up and gave it to the last kid just to ease the situation (child politics you know). Shockingly, the staff, who were watching the entire time, rudely snatched it back from the child. That moment completely overshadowed the meal. What could have been a simple and happy dining experience turned unnecessarily unpleasant due to the staff’s handling of the situation. The pizza was fine, but the toy machine and staff attitude left us with a bad taste overall.

Pizzas are by far the best I have tasted in Ambalangoda area. Also the ramen is good too. Pastas need to be improved a bit imo but overall good food and affordable prices. I would recommend you can try this place without having second thoughts!

Pretty good size sport considering the size of the country, and this is the only international airport. Staffs weren’t friendly at all and were all over the place. No clear information or directly for sure. So bad. There were 2 security check points, one at the entry before check in and another one right at the gate, means that you can’t bring or buy any liquid in the event from the airport itself. So silly.

Colombo Airport felt quite chaotic and not very well-organized. It was crowded, and the facilities seemed a bit outdated compared to other international airports. The overall experience wasn’t very smooth, and things like signage, queues, and general layout could really use some improvement. Not the most comfortable place for a layover or long wait.

There are no mobile charging Points , Transfer passengers are not taking care of their comfortable waiting time. Cops are good to guide the passengers but most of them don't know International languages.
