Rock Bridge Memorial State Park

Mentioned on
1 list
State park
Nature & Parks
Park
Rock Bridge Memorial State Park, located just minutes from Columbia, Missouri, is a prime example of karst topography. The Devils Icebox and Sinkhole Trail takes hikers through prominent features such as Devils Icebox, Connors Cave, numerous sinkholes, and the namesake Rock Bridge. This trail offers a unique experience with two subterranean sections. The park's namesake is a natural limestone formation that has been shaped over time through erosion.
I visited here with my daughter for a quick hike to enjoy the weather. It was a pleasant surprise at how beautiful it was! They did have one trail closed due to a tree destroying a bridge but overall it was maintained well and clean of litter. Bathrooms are primitive but handy to have available. There was so much more to explore then i had realized. The cave, spring/creek, rock bridge and plenty of trails for hiking. It was busy but not crowded and we felt very safe. We loved it so much! We will definitely visit again! Thank you!
Marianne — Google review
Rock Bridge State Park is one of my favorite Missouri trials because of the views and accessibility. This park is wonderful for people of all ages; especially for families! We love exploring the Devil's Icebox Cave and the Sinkhole short trail. There are parts on the trail that are easily accessible by following the wood-planked walkway, but there are also "off the beaten path" trails and spots to ride your bike. Rock Bridge State Park is absolutely beautiful and is a "Must Visit" outdoor spot in Columbia, MO!
Through B — Google review
Great hiking. The devils ice box cave was very cool. There is a little store to buy ice, drinks and other items. The ground keeper was very helpful helping us find our way around.
Gemma C — Google review
Very cool and easy hike! Bring the family! Even if the grandparents or folks that cant do stairs or rocky uneven ground ; you can get real close and not feel left behind by those that walk inside to check it out.
Annette A — Google review
Really a top notch park that clicked all the buttons for me. Nice hikes, caves, tons of historical information about the wagon trails, former occupants, whisky distillery and other businesses that were in this hollow. The last photo I posted shows the crumbling foundation of the distillery(you have to look closely) seen in one of its three iterations (it burned down fairly regularly) in the previous picture. Most of the hiking trails were good for most people.
James P — Google review
Went there several times. Great hour long hiking experience near Mizzou. The icebox cave is also great.
全哥 — Google review
Nice easy hike to the rock bridge and cool checking out the cave. Definitely recommend checking this place out if you're in the area.
Rosie — Google review
Nice park. A bit worn down and not maintained as well as it could be but that may also be from over use? Anywho... Stopped by for a short leg stretch from traveling and hiked to the Bridge and Icebox. Tracked just under a mile. Busy place!

Stephens Lake Park

Mentioned on
1 list
City park
Nature & Parks
Park
Stephens Lake Park is a serene oasis in the midst of the city, offering a picturesque lakefront boardwalk, picnic shelters, and well-maintained trails. The park's glistening lake and paved trails provide an ideal setting for romantic strolls or invigorating runs. Families can enjoy the playgrounds and free WiFi while taking in the beautiful scenery of flowers and trees along the trail.
Beautiful, very accessible park. There's a great loop around the lake, and there are also trails that lead further away which I'm still exploring! The place is versatile in that there is something for people of all ages: swimming, fishing, play equipment, walking/running/biking trails, BBQ areas, open grassy areas.
Shannon L — Google review
Quiet, beautiful spot for a short walk! It wasn’t too crowded on a Sunday morning in the spring. The park was clean and safe. Would love to come back for a show at the amphitheater sometime!
D L — Google review
We went pretty early in the morning, around 9, and we were the first ones there! We had the run of the place until maintenance showed up to empty trash and rake the sand. There were some leftovers from the day before (some clothes in the sand, some trash, and a kid's bike that I hope they found) but overall it was in great condition! Just before we left, it got a little crowded. Overall it was a great experience. Will definitely have to go back.
River S — Google review
Absolutely beautiful! Playground with swings, bathrooms, a large lake that you can fish in and a large walking trail! You can rent out the large room that has ac, plenty of grass and shady trees as well!
J M — Google review
A great place in the middle of Columbia! There's always so many different people using the park for different things ; parties, biking, jogging, walking, fishing, playing on the playground, jumping across the big rocks, and enjoying the views.
Carrie — Google review
Nice park with good shelters and a nice trail for a brisk walk around the lake. Kids enjoyed the splash park and the beach.
Vimal S — Google review
Love this park! First time I've gone swimming.. was fun and the people there where very friendly. Love to walk down the trails to the creek
James G — Google review
I have gond here for a picknick the dog park and vollyball. There is disc golf and plenty of things to do. My fiancé and I take our dog here every sunday to run and play and when it is warm swim. It us a very good place to take your dog to meet other dogs and get a lot of energy out.

David R. Francis Quadrangle Historic District

Sights & Landmarks
Historic Sites
The David R. Francis Quadrangle is a 33-acre historic center located within the University of Missouri. It features six famous columns and gardens that are an important part of the university's history. The atmosphere around the quad is lively, with people lounging, studying, playing football or catch games. It's a favorite spot on campus for many visitors and students alike.
A must see in Columbia The university of Missouri campus is very energetic and upbeat and lovely people around here. Lot of dining options
Rakshi H — Google review
What the Arch is to St Louis, the columns are to Columbia. With a large open field, the quad is a great place for photos and people watching. It's flanked by historic buildings, including the beautiful Jesse Hall where you'll see beautiful stained glass windows and Thomas Jefferson's original headstone.
Lisa T — Google review
Campus is beautiful and well kept. Students were so friendly helping with directions and photo taking.
Kelly H — Google review
Beyond expectations! A lot of history here. Thomas Jefferson's original tombstone, 500 years old stone lions from Confucius hometown, A stone from House of Parliament. Beautiful landscaping and buildings.
C. W — Google review
A place for lots of Mizzou activities. Has a good view of Jesse Hall and the tiger statue. I would check with Mizzou if you want to host an activity here because I'm pretty sure you need permits.
Travis N — Google review
I have a MIZZOU college grad! This location on campus is very picturesque! I probably fell in love with the campus quicker than my student did! It was a beautiful graduation weekend and it’s best to see this location at night IMO
Kisha J — Google review
A mellow, collegiate lab lunch pad for relaxation. The Quad is a gorgeous, historic, and welcoming arena on the MU campus where you’ll often find me sprawled out with a good book or catching up on assignments
Nicholas A — Google review
One of the most beautiful university scenes ANYWHERE in the world. A classic. Be sure to check out one of the newer features, the bronze Thomas Jefferson, along with his original obelisk-shaped grave-marker, on the East side of the quadrangle.

Finger Lakes State Park

State park
Nature & Parks
Finger Lakes State Park provides a trail system for off-road vehicles, camping, boating, hiking and fishing. The campsites are not entirely even and show tracks and ruts from tires. There seems to be more litter than the average state park which could be attributed to either the people of Columbia or the enthusiasts who frequent it. During peak season one can only imagine what this place may look like or sound like with all its amenities including vending machines.
Havent been here in 20 years. I have to say they have done a great job with the park. Lots of new improvements and added amenities to the entire park. The trails were great. Everything from fast and fun, to technical and challenging, and of course if you want mud you can find it easy enough. The motocross track hadn't been prepped in a while, but was still rideable, and the jump faces were all pretty good. We will be bringing our boys again for sure.
Danny J — Google review
We stopped in on Labor Day weekend, so you know it was busy, but they still had kayaks available. The water was a little stagnant but still a lovely paddle! The checkout system of kayaks was really easy too, they have them in lockers that you access and lock back up yourself right there at the beach. And you can’t beat the price!
Brittany — Google review
My visit to this park was solely for the purpose of hiking the Kelley Branch Mountain Bike Trail. While I thought the trail was "okay" I can see how this park would be very popular with bikers, ORV enthusiasts, anglers, and hunters. While I can't comment on the campgrounds, I imagine they're good - the park is certainly large enough to afford some camping privacy. There's also a "pump track" where I saw someone skateboarding. This place is probably a blast for families!
Debra A — Google review
The park was nice things were well kept besides the bathrooms. The toilets were okay but the showers there are pretty gross.
Olivia R — Google review
This spot is so serene. Some daya the lake looks like glass. Gabriel loves it here!
Sarah L — Google review
Amazing campground with tons of space and privacy. We really had a great time! Bathrooms could use some TLC, and it lacks water spigot near the bathroom to fill up jugs of water. Super spot overall.
Hugo G — Google review
Really cool campground! We do not have an ATV, but we booked this park since it was the only one available by us for Memorial Day weekend. We couldn't hear the atv's except when they drove to and from their campsites. The lake was beautiful and the beach was fun! Good amount of stars in the night sky. The playground was nice as well. These were the cleanest bathrooms I've come across at a campground. The camp sites were a good size, so that was nice. And there were so many butterflies at our site! The only downside to park was the amount of cigarette butts on the camp site, and lots of people smoking cigarettes on the beach.
Meagan R — Google review
Fingers Lakes State Park has a lot to offer for multiple visits. Most notably in my mind is the kayaking. They have a kind of kayaking course so you can run the length of the lakes, while also giving you a structure (like a hiking trail on water) and it's very beginner friendly. After you get used to it, do at night! I haven't yet, but I did confirm they don't prohibit night paddling, which is awesome! Make sure to bring a headlamp, a backup light, and always wear your life jacket! Additionally they have off-roading trails for motorized and pedal powered transportation, picnic areas, camping, grills, and it appears fishing, which I'm guessing is stocked. There are no fees, and it looks like the park stays pretty busy. I also spotted a pretty massive snapping turtle crossing the road while I was there!

Mizzou Arena

Arena
Sights & Landmarks
Arenas & Stadiums
The Mizzou Arena is a basketball facility located at the University of Missouri. It has a seating capacity of over 15,000 and features private boxes and dining options. The arena provides an excellent viewing experience with great seats available in the third or fourth row. While food inside the venue can be expensive, it is still an affordable option for families seeking entertainment. Additionally, there are numerous views throughout the arena that offer different perspectives depending on individual preferences.
Very nice facility, 2nd time I’ve been here. This time for a women’s basketball game, too bad they don’t garner more fan support. Place has clean restrooms, plenty of concessions, a Dickey’s BBQ. Parking is a breeze for the events I’ve been to here, might be much different for a men’s game. Cool venue.
FFKDTP1 — Google review
Great place for big events. Huge space and mple parking. Been here for the third time. First in 2016 for my daughter"s undergrad convo, then 2018 for master's convo and finally 2023 for her doctorate.
Noor B — Google review
Great place to watch a Mizzou basketball game. The concourse are spacious and parking is plentiful with great sightlines and concessions.
Kaleb H — Google review
I can't believe I actually paid $32 for 2 sodas and a popcorn! Unbelievable! I realize people need to make a profit, but that's totally ridiculous!!! Otherwise, it's a nice venue and the employees were very nice and helpful.
Kathy J — Google review
Great venue. I don't think there is a bad seat in the house. Seating is comfortable even in the upper deck. I've never had such an easy parking experience. All around great and look forward to my next event here.
James E — Google review
Very nice arena. Way too many steps without enough elevators. Saw several people struggling to make it up/down the stairs.
Wes S — Google review
Mizzou Arena is one of the premier college basketball venues. Dennis Gates and his team put on a show while the staff makes you feel welcome and they take care of everything you'd ever need. MIZ
George H — Google review
And great facility my daughter and a friend got to go to watch the girls basketball game first Southern University Missouri 73 to 54. The girls and I had a great time nice venue great seats must been in the third or fourth row. And it's very affordable great family fun food's a little expensive eat before you come so you don't have to buy as much. All the views in the arena were probably be a good view depends on what you want.

Museums
The Museum of Art and Archaeology is a contemporary building that houses exhibits showcasing regional artistic and cultural significance. It offers free admission to visitors who can explore the well-curated collection of interesting and unique items at no cost. This small university museum contains an impressive selection of paintings, statues, and other historical artifacts that provide glimpses into the past. Although relatively compact in size, it boasts some great pieces worth checking out for those in Columbia looking for an enjoyable experience without spending any money.
Lovely displays and great history. It’d be nicer if it was a better venue, it feels like an afterthought considering the pieces. Free to enter and a lovely gift shop - definitely buy a token for the Art-o-matic!
Nico A — Google review
This was a fun museum and it was entirely free! Honestly there was more to it than I expected. We went during the Art in Bloom exhibition which gave us even more to see!
Lydia T — Google review
This is a small but well-kept and nicely curated museum. Good place to spend about an hour or so.
Praghalathan K — Google review
A small but well curated collection of art and historic items. Well worth the visit and the gift shop has a great selection. Parking is typical to downtown situations (best bet is a local garage) but not difficult to navigate and not expensive. Definitely make a stop here.
LB A — Google review
I love the representation of indigenous peoples of Missouri and the Americas here. The gifts hope is great and the curator and staff are very kind people!
A D — Google review
Great small museum consistently and professionally put together. A must-see on campus!
Darya J — Google review
Small free University Museum. Some pretty cool items in the collection, well curated, and the right price. Worth checking out if you find yourself in the COMO area.

A pleasant little find in Columbia. Relatively small but some great pieces.

The Blue Note

Mentioned on
1 list
Live music venue
Concerts & Shows
The Blue Note is a historic music venue located in an old vaudeville theater, renowned for hosting diverse musical acts, including some of the biggest names in the industry. It is situated in the heart of a small town, making it easily accessible to all. The venue features seating on both the main floor and balcony, providing different perspectives for concert-goers to enjoy. While some parts of the seating area may require restoration, overall it still maintains its charm and character.
The venue was smaller than I expected, which was a pleasant surprise because it made the show feel more personal and up close. Staff and security were super nice! Information on parking would be helpful. I drove from out of town and spent a lot of time circling around trying to figure out where to park.
A. W — Google review
Been to a couple of concerts here now and loved them! Good audio mix and lighting was fun. Space to be on the floor in front of the stage or sit upstairs. Check it out!
Andrew S — Google review
The Blue Note was a very neat small venue for a more up close and personal experience. We bought tickets in the balcony and liked the option of a second bar and restrooms near. Seating was comfortable. Security presence made my experience feel safe. Great live music atmosphere!
Angela B — Google review
Decent small venue. Music sounds good. Drink prices are a little ridiculous. A 16 oz beer is $8. A whiskey double was damn near $30, which is way more than I've paid anywhere, and I've been to a lot of concert venues. Also, another note is to watch out for the bartenders hitting the 20% gratuity every time you order. Otherwise, a good time. Lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance.
Robert M — Google review
Greg Morton, comedian, very talented and funny. Event hosted by Job Point catered by Peach Tree. Excellent food. Nice and cold A/C.
D. 4 — Google review
Really nice venue, good sound, the layout is sick, location is convenient. However, the security team was so busy grabbing and putting hands on anyone who dared to dance in the pit during a HARDCORE SHOW, that they failed to adequately staff the barricade to catch crowdsurfers, and as a result a kid fell face first and nearly busted his head open. They clearly care more about power tripping and pretending they’re cops than they do about actually keeping people safe. Reevaluate your priorities. Do your job and let people dance. Will not be back to any show here until that team is replaced or retrained and a policy is changed.
Benjamin H — Google review
Absolutely awful experience, will never come back. If you care anything about heavy music at all please do not come here or support it. I went to a shower featuring 3 hardcore bands (counterpart headlining) and they were not allowing any sort of hardcore moshing except two stepping. I can not not recommend this place enough. If I could give it zero stars I would. If you are going to host a hardcore show, expect hardcore moshing.
KFC E — Google review
We saw the Queen of Rock & Roll Tina Turner Tribute and was impressed with the show, the staff at the Blue Note and just the overall vibe of the event. Even though it was a fairly hot day, the Blue Note did a good job of keeping it cool.

Twin Lakes Recreation Area

Mentioned on

City park
Nature & Parks
Parks
Twin Lakes Recreation Area is a city park that features a large pavilion perfect for BBQs and picnics, a lake ideal for boating and fishing, and an outdoor water park that operates seasonally. It is well-maintained with ample trash cans available for waste disposal. Dog owners would find it an excellent place to socialize their pets as the park offers opportunities to interact with other dogs while taking dips in the lake.
Went for a dreamlike first date here. We spread out a picnic blanket and basket under a shady tree in the grass by the larger lake and had lunch. There is an unpaved walking path all the way around both lakes with some stretches of grass-only path. Plenty of benches every few hundred feet. We saw a heron, cardinals, and turtles both in the water and on the path. You can't even hear city noise from this area. Quiet and hardly a soul around, even on a Saturday!
Leonard N — Google review
What a great rec area! Lots of dog areas for all sizes to run in the enclosed areas. There's a nice playground for the kids with a Pavillion and BBQ grills. I went to do some fishing with the kids and they had a blast. My daughter got a fish on her first cast. Lots of fun since they stock all these local lakes. I showed up around 4 and they were biting!
Jascha L — Google review
Came here to hammock, I was not disappointed :) quiet little spot in the middle of town. Great trail to run or bike and enjoy the views
Marian T — Google review
My two dogs and I have so much fun with other friends and dog friends! What a great place to relax with other good people and the happy sweet dogs!! And herons for my Roxie to chase!! Great fun outside for people and dogs!
Sandy R — Google review
Plenty of room to walk, beautiful trails, three sectioned off dog parks, places to fish, barbecue, playgrounds, bathrooms... what more could you want?
Allie H — Google review
It is dog-friendly lake, fishing spots, and beautiful walking trails. It's a wonderful spot to unwind, take in the scenery, and spend time outside.
Fai J — Google review
Great place for dogs! I like that there is a separate area for small breeds, and there's access to water, for drinking and swimming! There's a good amount of trash bins around, and that helps keep the place clean. We love to bring the pups when the weather permits. 😄 (Btw follow @ChikoAndTheBeans on Instagram for more puppy pics🥰)

This is a good recreation area with two small lakes and a children's play area. It is reasonably clean and good for spending an hour with kids.

Faurot Field at Memorial Stadium

Stadium
Sights & Landmarks
Faurot Field at Memorial Stadium is a historic venue with a rich legacy as the home of the Missouri Tigers football team. Named after Don Faurot, a renowned figure in collegiate football, the stadium has witnessed countless memorable sporting moments. Visitors appreciate its classic college atmosphere and unique features like the general admission section where fans can sit on a hill. While some suggest improvements to facilities and amenities, many enjoy the overall game day experience at this iconic stadium.
Tennessee lost the game, but the Mizzou fans were gracious… design of the stadium had old college feel ( general admission section were you could sit on hill on one side…. social deck area… concession area with standing room to eat and watch game on the other) … there was plenty of parking to purchase ahead of time or just pull over on the side of the hwy. Not close to Neyland, but a great game day experience!
Willa B — Google review
For an SEC stadium, it’s a disappointment. Under renovation to raise the capacity to… just 65,000? Anyway, I might be a little harsh on it because I’ve always respected their “M” behind the end zone and it’s iconic. Would love to catch a game down here someday. I wish it was easier to access the stadium and take some better pictures/looks. All respect though!
George M — Google review
Right now, the construction is a little difficult to navigate, and it’s very difficult to get from one side of the field to the next. Once construction is done it won’t be an issue. But always enjoy games at Faurot Field. Concession food was really bad and lines were very long for food and drinks. Restrooms desperately need updating. But if you’re going for a football game, it’s a pretty basic football field with what you’d expect from a college game.
Suzie M — Google review
Nice atmosphere but currently under construction and an eye sore. Food and drinks available but very expensive compared to other venues I've been to.
Domenic B — Google review
Had a very good time at the game.Sound system is incredible. The field and football experience was great. However, the price of the food but more even worse, the price of the drinks...nearly $8 for a bottle of water or soda...totally unacceptable.
Ike — Google review
A tremendous experience! We had amazing seats being 9 rows from the wall. The crowd was great and so was the atmosphere. We were here during homecoming game so it was pretty packed, but it was still pretty manageable. Traffic was managed very well and everyone remained very well behaved. I'll definitely be back for another game in the future.
Matt M — Google review
As a visiting team fan I would say the atmosphere was a pretty high energy place for football as you would expect. The home team won so I'm sure our experience with home crowd fans was based around that as it set the tone for their post game mood. We encountered some mild "ribbing" going to and from the game but it was expected when going into "enemy" territory. 😁. I will add that several student and general fans did engage us with pleasantries as we were headed back to the car with messages of safe travels as we return home.
Eddie L — Google review
My wife and I went to our first Missouri football game. I loved the pageantry and enthusiasm. The butterfly landed on my wife's T-shirt. It was black, yellow and white; Missouri colors.

Columbia Art League

Mentioned on

Sights & Landmarks
Although not an artistic individual, the affordable art at Columbia Art League surprised me. The Tiny things exhibition may have contributed to this affordability, as the Derek Fox pieces were notably more expensive. The atmosphere is inviting and cozy, providing a pleasant space to contemplate the artwork. Additionally, there are intriguing jewelry options available for purchase. The staff member is friendly, approachable, and hospitable.
First things first--I am not an artsy person and don't know much about art, but I can comment on a number of other things. I will say that the art is definitely much more affordable than I thought it would be! Granted, that might be because of the exhibition I went to see--the Tiny things exhibition. The Derek Fox pieces were way more expensive and with good reason. The atmosphere is really good--warm and inviting. You would just want to sit there and stare at art for a while, and there is a comfy couch for that! There are also some really cool jewelry pieces to purchase. The lady working there is also extremely kind, easy to talk to, and very welcoming. Definitely pop in if you have an hour or two to spare!

My child has participated in many different types of classes and camps at the Columbia Art League and has loved them ALL. Mary is an absolute treasure & my child loves her. We are so grateful CAL has such wonderful opportunities for young kids all year round.

The Columbia Art League is a Columbia treasure! It offers an opportunity for artists to exhibit and market their artwork, participate in group shows and for all of us to share in an amazing art experience. Classes offer a variety of creative exploration and skill development while challenging us. Whether it is learning, creating or viewing art there is a place for each of us to share in a bold artistic journey by entering through the doors of the Columbia Art League.
Jo S — Google review
Great place to buy art made by local artists. There is a large range in pricing, from $25-$8000 dollars, so there’s something for every budget. In addition, the Columbia Art League is a great community organization that promotes the arts in Columbia.
Brandon F — Google review
The Columbia Art League is a great art gallery downtown that also offers classes. I can say from personal experience that the owner is fantastic and truly cares about being a patron of the arts. They put on some amazing shows throughout the year, and the artists they showcase are first class. Even if you don't plan on purchasing anything, you should at least stop in and just admire the works on display. Their themes are always very interesting and thought-provoking.
Wei S — Google review
Take a class here, view the gallery, but some art and support a local artist! This group is great and regularly change out the exhibits. They are very involved in the community and host one of my favorite events, Art in the Park!

Wide variety of art to suit everbody, clean environment and a able body staff. Friendly staff willing to help you with all your needs. New artists to the league are welcome and greeted openly. This place gives you full opportunity to show your art and share your ideas.

Nestled in the heart of Columbia, Missouri, Sycamore Restaurant offers a warm and inviting dining experience that beautifully reflects its namesake tree—rooted in community and ever-evolving with the seasons. This charming eatery showcases a menu filled with seasonal New American dishes crafted from fresh, organic ingredients sourced from local farmers and ranchers.
We were seated quickly on a busy Friday evening. I ordered the Beet Salad and the Tuna Salad Sandwich and we ordered a liter of the delicious red house wine. Our server, Ron was friendly and attentive. The food was all so tasty and fresh! If I could give it more stars I would. So good and a nice gem in the heart of downtown Columbia.

Great atmosphere and tasty food. The trout was cooked to perfection and served with an amazing dressing and vegetables. My only concern was that the table for eight was really small for 8 adults to sit around and eat comfortably.
Praghalathan K — Google review
I am currently finishing my Malbec at the bar, and I have to listen to employees talking about their stress and concerns of working in the restaurant. I spent fifty dollars on lunch to hear about restaurant business. At this moment, I am the only individual at the bar and the two gentlemen are one chair away from me. So do we need to teach social skills? As a patron, don’t we need to consider conversations that do not apply to guests. Do we need to teach employees the difference between “being on-stage versus off-stage?” I want to eat my lunch in peace and detach from my own work. This is unbecoming.

Lovely atmosphere, great service and pretty good food. My chicken sandwich was huge and cooked very well. Appetizers were good and the fries were perfect. Wife says the ice cream was too boozy though (that's a her thing though) and we both thought the apples were undercooked. Overall a nice meal.

Went for a dinner meeting on a Monday. It was loud from conversations, so not the best choice for quiet conversation. Had the Salmon salad and lamb kabob. Lamb cooked well but underseasoned to my pallet. Smoked salmon salad was nicely not overdressed, and I would get it again. Service was maybe a little slow. Cheesecake desert was good and recommendable.

I should have listened to the server's recommendations for food. He advised against the Gnocchi (I'm a veg so the options were limited). It wasn't very good. Too mushy and chewy, not much flavor. The appetizers and my partners salmon was great.

If you are coming here for a cheap meal you wont find it here. If you want to have excellent food in a nice environment for a good date then you will not be dissapointed. I ordered the steak and it did cost me a little bit, but for the flavor that came with my meal, it was absolutely worth every penny. My wife had some pasta dish.... I tried some and it was delicious. This is definitely on my list of date night restaraunts.

First time visiting the establishment and felt very comfortable walking in. Has that old charm feel. Our waitress ( starts w/a K) was absolutely the very best. Was very patient, explaining the chef's desire for freshness and everything to be made from scratch, including the ingredients from the bar. This would the reason the food was absolutely delicious. Was priced on the higher-end, which is the case at most restaurants nowadays, but I truly feel that here, you get what you pay for.

Breakfast restaurant
Cafe Berlin is a popular spot in the North Village Arts District, known for its hipster vibe and spacious patio. It's a great choice for hearty breakfast and lunch options, including the famous Butch Jones bacon and egg wrapped in a large pancake with apples and sauce. The cafe also caters to vegan diners with offerings like oven-baked potato chips, sweet potato, and fresh juices.
One of the best breakfast spots in Columbia IMO. If you don't get there early, there's always a wait. The food is fantastic. The service is friendly and the drinks are available for brunch! This little eclectic restaurant hosts a variety of breakfast and lunch options. I had the BLT with avocado. It was more like a BLT with quacamole with just a touch of jalapeno for some kick. The bacon was thick cut, crispy and delicious! If you're new to Columbia or visiting, check it out.

This place was awesome! It was our first time going, we had about a 10 minute wait to get seated. They had a waiting area inside and had jurassic park on VHS playing. This place has an awesome vibe and very nice friendly staff. We were seated and given water and got their fresh squeezed orange juice and hot Chai Latte(both were very good) we ordered the "just breakfast" which had choice of eggs, meat and 2 sides. I ordered side of biscuit and gravy with seasoned potatoes and my wife got the same with French toast instead of potatoes. The over easy eggs were cooked to perfection and the biscuits and gravey were very good!! The French toast was gigantic and very tasty. I would rate this place higher if I could and consider this one of the best breakfast spots in Columbia.

Hands down the best brunch and breakfast spot in CoMo! There’s often a bit of a wait, and for good reason. The place is always packed, which speaks volumes about the quality of the food. I absolutely loved their breakfast menu, every bite was super delicious and totally worth it!!

We had a tasty and wholesome breakfast here. There was not a long wait on a busy Sunday morning. Friendly service with a smile. Reasonable prices for quality here. Cozy seating inside and roomy patio seating outside.

I took a large group around 9am expecting a disaster that did not materialize! Food is outstanding and service as well! This is THE PLACE for a fantastic breakfast in CoMo (if we’d had to wait it would have been worth it). You will not be disappointed. (Also bacon was crisp but not overdone—just a fantastic time for everyone—even the vegetarians!)

Their food is genuinely good. However fix your menu writing and fix your customer service. We ordered pancake wrapped around egg and bacon and then apples and red onions. Please read the pic for Butch Jones DESCRIPTION. My daughter loves all of those. Much to her dismay she got chilie powdered sauce and andoullie sausge.... not in the description. But below that there is a similar sounding dish with very detailed description. How is someone to know that, did it say referring to the item below.... nope. She's 7, spicy is not her jam and if we knew it was we would not have ordered it. Server asked , would you like something else for her, sorry, tried to explain it.... there is no explaining that we cannot read minds of who ever wrote the menu. They charged us for what we ordered next for her. We stilled tipped 20% bc she is not getting a living wage (yay U.S.) But please fix this, own your mess us. And give a distraught kid, whose tongue was burning, a free meal.

Cafe Berlin participated in the Chef's Vegan Challenge and so I decided to eat here for lunch. I tried the bbq tofu sandwich with greens on the side. The sandwich was orgasmic! To start, yhe tofu had tangy bbq sauce on it. The dressing over the tofu was amazing. The bisquet the tofu was served on was crispy and full of flavor. The greens tasted like they were just picked. The lemon dressing on the greens was light and flavorful. The atmosphere is fun. I will be back.

I visited Café Berlin with a friend on a Sunday. While the wait line was expected, we were told it would be around 20 minutes. Unfortunately, we ended up waiting for over an hour. I understand that wait times can vary, but the estimate wasn’t even close, which was frustrating. On the positive side, our waitress was very friendly and patient. We asked if the eggs were pasteurized, and although she didn’t know right away, she made the effort to go to the kitchen and find out for us, which I appreciated. However, the food was disappointing. I ordered the eggs Benedict, and even the English muffin had a sour taste. Overall, the meal was not to my liking, and unfortunately, Café Berlin is not a place I’d return to based on this experience.

Shakespeare's Pizza - Downtown

Pizza restaurant
Shakespeare's Pizza - Downtown is a laid-back spot known for its delicious pizza pies, salads, craft beer, cocktails, and wine. The original location was torn down and rebuilt at the corner of Ninth and Elm streets but still maintains its feel-good atmosphere. The signature pizza, "The Masterpiece," features a combination of toppings that has gained national attention. Many consider Shakespeare's to be the best pizza place in Columbia, serving up tasty pizzas since 1973 with three locations around town.
Good pizza and amazing layout of the entire restaurant! Beautifully decorated thru and thru! It was intriguing to walk around, and there was seating around each corner! The pizza was good, and the daily special was a good deal! We tried to ask the cashier (big guy in the photo) what the best way was to order or do we just sit down? He said, "Well, what do you want?" In an unfriendly condescending question! I advised him our party would wait as few minutes. We watched as others ordered full pizzas from the cashier, or purchased by the slice from the chefs making the pies! We purchased single slices and bottles of drinks to simplify the process. Seating was found in the high-top booth area, with plenty of room! We had to walk a block from the free parking garage to the restaurant! It's worthy of another meal when in the area.

Working in Columbia this week, and of course, we had to stop by Shakespeare's Pizza--one of the city's most iconic spots. This was probably my fourth or fifth time visiting, so I already knew we were in for something good. We started with a 10-piece garlic bread to share, which hit the spot right away. Each of us ordered our own pizza, and I decided to try the meat lover's for the first time. It was a bit greasy (as expected with all the meats), but they definitely don't hold back on the toppings--it was loaded and absolutely delicious. The place has plenty of seating and gives off a cool, old-school restaurant vibe that adds to the experience. The staff was friendly, quick, and efficient, and the service overall was top-notch. Shakespeare's never disappoints. It's a must-visit every time I'm in Columbia, and I'll definitely be back again.

A decent pizza but extremely high prices for the sizes. A small specialty pizza was almost $25. The pizza itself was good but I’ve had better. The atmosphere was very nice with plenty of seats and different areas to sit. I appreciated them having both Pepsi and coke products. You can also get pizza by the slice during part of the day.

Another place we would hang out at during my college days at Mizzou. While on a business trip to Columbia, I took my colleagues to Shakespeare's one night and we had a blast! The pizza was amazing and we all went down memory lane about our different colleges in different parts of the country.

Ok so we had to try this spot. The pizza is amazing, yes pricey but delicious. My wife got the gluten free pizza and it was one of the best she's ever had. I really appreciated the care they took (its an allergy, not a preference) in using a different pizza cutter etc. Drinks are cheap and amazing too. We will definitely be back!

My 2nd favorite pizza place in central mo. Great food, the service varies, but generally good. Prices are getting way up there, but for a special treat, I still eat here when I'm in Columbia. I like that the place hasn't changed in several decades. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.
Kris K — Google review
Pizza comes with a lot of toppings and was baked well. The Salad was okay. And the dressing was extremely thick, which I don't care for. Service is like a fast food restaurant... You order at the counter and then pick up your own food... They bus the table when you leave, but if your table is full then you have to bus the table yourself. I wish I got a party of that 20% tip I left...

Restaurant
Murry's, a Columbia institution since 1985, is known for its eclectic American menu and live jazz music five nights a week. The restaurant was created with the mission of providing a space for adults to enjoy good food and great music without strict protocols. The ambiance at Murry's is described as fabulous, with low lighting and live jazz performances adding to the overall experience. The menu offers a variety of options including steaks, salmon, sandwiches, and more.
This place was absolutely fantastic and I can't wait to go back. Everything was cooked to perfection and seasoned flawlessly. We were immediately surprised when we had the first course which happened to be their onion rings. My husband decided to order the onion rings and I ordered the fries with Brie cheese dip so we could try both. They brought a large amount of onion rings and offered to bring it as an appetizer so we had something to eat while we waited for our main courses. My husband ordered the double pork patty sandwich and I had a grilled cheese. The fries and Brie were a little spicy but they went really well together. The grilled cheese was really good even though I'm pretty picky about grilled cheese. I tried a couple bites of my husband's pork and it tasted amazing. It came with barbecue sauce but the seasoning was perfect and didn't need any sauce. We tried to come back a week later but they had a 25-minute wait on a Tuesday. No surprise- their food is phenomenal. If I didn't have so many tasks tonight, we would have waited. I've been thinking about those onion rings all week. Truly spectacular. I also want to add that their prices are very reasonable for the experience that we had. I like the low lighting and the aesthetics of their establishment.

Sarah, our server, was an absolute delight. She was attentive despite how busy things got, and if she wasn't available to help us, the other wait staff were always on standby and ready to assist with things like clearing plates, filling water, etc. I got the Filet, and it was cooked to perfection. My partner got the Fettuccine Alfredo with broccoli, mushrooms, and double chicken as add-ons and he absolutely loved it. The Filet was not the most seasoned thing I've ever had, but the meat itself was excellent. The fries were soggy and kind of disappointing, and mostly overdone, but the garlic cheese bread made up for it. If you're looking for garlic cheese bread that is more cheese than it is bread, congrats! You've come to the right place! We got the larger option of cheese bread, and it was the good type of cheese that sticks to the roof of your mouth but melts perfectly. Definitely recommend. We aren't even from the area, but by far this is definitely one of the best places I've gone for food. Not to mention the atmosphere was delightful with quiet soft jazz in the background and dim lighting that does wonders for those with oversensitivity issues with eyes and lights. Overall 8/10 definitely recommend. Thanks again, Sarah!

Well, over 2000 people have reviewed this place, so I'm not adding anything, but I wanted to try it, so why not? I found it quaint and lively all at once. Pretty good atmosphere, which is great because it looks like nothing from the outside. A good old-fashioned restaurant feel. I had the frog legs and philly. Both were good. The philly had a really nice beef flavor that a lot of places lose in the philly making process, or because they just use low quality meat. That wasn't the case here. Service was good. Almost exceptional. Very good. Kept up with me quite often, and made sure I had what I needed. Got seated quickly too, ahead of time expectations. Biggest issue is parking. Good luck. Lol Overall great place.

This was my first time here. We came on a Monday night and the place was packed and on a wait! I ordered the Ahi Tuna with our servers recommendations of adding pesto, tomatoes, and feta cheese. We also had the frog legs and they were amazing!

Great place! It's a jazz café but really is more about the food and service. My wife and I found a place at the bar and ordered drinks and appetizers. We had whiskey and wine to go with our sardines (amazing) and Craig's bread also quite good. The wife went for the chicken tortilla soup as many wives do, but it was the service from Daniel the bartender that was top notch. He had a packed lunch crowd and seemed to keep up on drink orders and food. If new in town I highly recommend sitting at the bar and asking about around town, you won't regret it.

We had a wonderful meal at Murray’s. Our server was great. She helped us make a great meal selection. We both had the bone-in pork chops. At the servers suggestion we split an order of onion rings. These were thin sliced and breaded. We split a dinner salad as well. Murray’s is known for its mashed potatoes so we split that as well. They were delicious. We both had a drink and with splitting our sides the cost of the meal was very reasonable. This a great place to a nice dinner out. They had live music as well when we were there. Highly recommend this place.

Wonderful experience. Will return again!! Started with the Artichoke hearts + fried eggplant. Both were impressively delicious. Entree was fettuccine which they allowed me to customize with more artichoke, mushrooms and clams = perfection! House martini was also enjoyed after the friendly recommendation of other patrons. Jason was a friendly, helpful and attentive server and bartender.

I highly recommend the pretzel. It's an $18 pretzel worth trying. I am told the menu changes, so I will definitely be a returning customer to sample what else the chef has to offer. The idea is to order multiple items from the menu and share. Price average is around $20 a dish.

We arrived at about 8pm on a Friday night at was able to sit at the bar immediately. Ethan, the host, was very warm and welcoming as was every staff we interacted with. Everyone really seemed to enjoy working there which is very rare. The bartenders were awesome! My wife and I had a tom collins and smoked old fashioned and they were so good. It was a lot of fun watching the bartenders make the drinks. We ordered the cauliflower (superb flavors and pairings!), the cheese pizza (the crust was so good!) and then finished with the cheesecake (very interesting pairings but so good!). I finished off with a coffee and cannot say enough about this place.

Found this gem while stopping over in Columbus, MO. Friendly staff to try and accommodate us at 9pm. We sat at the bar. We ordered the Bread and Butter which was a great start and a must try! We ordered the Burnt End of the Line pizza and Midwest Carnitas. The pizza crust was so good. I was expecting BBQ but it wasnt, at least I dont think so. I cant pick out the layers of flavors. The Carnitas you had to take with each bite of silky sweet potato puree. Then the Lemon Pistachio Cake, oh have mercy! My husband took a bite and just said Oh Wow, one of the best, balanced desserts we've ever had! Go! Eat! Enjoy!

We don't frequent Columbia's culinary scene too often (being from Austin, TX), but anytime we are able to venture north and visit family here, Flyover has become an absolute must. The food is fantastic. Period. Having grown up in "these here parts" and years later building a palette for amazing food in ATX, this is a place that stands so much taller than most restaurants in this part of the state. Seriously. You can't go wrong with the pretzels, mac and cheese, catfish, any pizza, or the many other tasty options they keep fresh by changing the menu every so often. Cocktails are equally awesome and the service consistently provides a level of professionalism / team work that is so very apparent. The evening started with some humor too as a host walked into the patio screen door, but took it like a champ, bouncing right back into action in spite of our trying to hold laughter in. You can't go wrong with Flyover. Stop reading and head that way now.

We shared the pretzel bites, Burnt End of the Line Pizza, Fettuccine Bolognese, and Thai Basil Chicken—everything was excellent. Great flavors and portions, and our waitress was fantastic. The only letdown was the smoked strawberry pistachio cheesecake, which had too much liquid smoke and odd flavors in the toppings, though the cheesecake itself was good. Overall, great spot and we’ll definitely be back for the savory dishes.

★★★★★ (5/5) Visited Flyover and had an excellent dining experience. We ordered the chicken-fried cauliflower, the summer salad with candied walnuts and strawberries, and the chicken breast in curry sauce with rice. Everything came out promptly and tasted fantastic—far exceeding my expectations. Each dish was flavorful and perfectly prepared. The staff was stellar: attentive, friendly, and very helpful with recommendations. Considering the quality and generous portions, the value here is excellent. Highly recommend Flyover for anyone looking for delicious food, quick service, and great hospitality.

I highly recommend Flyover. Reservations are a must because seating is limited (tables and a bar). The food is delicious and served family-style if you choose (recommended to order a couple of dishes and share, which is fun). The food was delicious, and the service was extremely great, even with a busy evening. It seems the whole staff pitches in the serve and deliver food/drinks, which is nice. A tight, comfy, cozy, and enjoyable dining experience. Again, it is highly recommended!!

The establishment is known for arguably serving the best burger in town, featuring a quarter-pound patty topped with Swiss and American cheeses, mustard, ketchup, onion, and pickles on an enriched three-quarter-size bun.
Great spot for burgers and dogs with a dive bar pool hall ambience. The cheeseburger with everything completely hit the spot on a break from my cross country road trip. Just a flawless burger. Staff was friendly and kind, and the food came out quick!

Pretty neat old fashioned restaurant with a lot of history. Great place to get a good burger and play some pool. Note that they only accept cash and, unfortunately, do not have french fries! The burger itself was very moist and had good flavor. Unlike other burger places, the burger was not oversized. My boyfriend got the grilled cheese with ham and was very pleased with the amount of ham they put. Would recommend checking out this famous burger restaurant in Columbia!

We ordered some food to-go to enjoy next door, and while the food itself was mostly great, the service left something to be desired. The smash burger was excellent, and the creamy mac n cheese was rich and flavorful. The buffalo wings were a nice size and perfectly sauced, and the biscuit breakfast sandwich was also solid. However, the home fries were under-seasoned and fell a bit flat. One downside worth noting: they charge extra for ranch, even when ordering buffalo wings—which feels a bit off for a place serving wings.

Great early fall patio dinner. Food was really good. Perfect sized portions to satisfy but not be stuffed. Fun little outdoor night lights on the table added a bit of ambiance. We were not in a rush that night but we still waited a bit on food, on the bill.

The food is amazing. The Rainbow Biscuits appetizer with strawberry, blackberry, and apple jams was novel and a great start to a wonderful meal. Great selection of drinks, both draft and cocktails. Main courses were generous and very well prepared. The fried chicken was crispy and flavorful. I also had the bread pudding for dessert and the bourbon sauce was perfect. Go ahead and add the scoop of vanilla ice cream...you've earned it

This is a hard one, but overall I would say it's a nice place with 95% of the food being fantastic, but that bad 5% is a bit of a doozy. I had a spell of about 2 years where I every biscuit (several) I got from their truck was rock hard or dry. Infact, I was able to spike one into the parking lot at the farmers market and it remained intact after bouncing 10 feet up off the pavement. That said, everything but their biscuits have consistently been top quality and what I would consider among the best in Columbia. All of this is crazy considering they call them selves a biscuit company, and made it very difficult for me to write a review. Today, I finally got a good biscuit and feel like I can finally give them a fair review. The biscuit bar is well decorated and clean and it was very nice to sit on the patio. The server was very polite, but he and the kitchen were both extremely slow despite it not being too busy (30+ mins for our food to come out ). The fruit waffles and mocha coffee were fantastic, and the biscuit in the biscuits and gravy were pretty good. The prices are pretty high, and the portions aren't the biggest, but for the most part the quality (besides sometimes the biscuits) is always worth it. I hope they have figured out their biscuit game, and think if they can remain consistent with them they could easily be considered one of the best restaurants in Columbia.
Dave K — Google review
The atmosphere is nice. The food was so overpriced and the food wasn't even great. Biscuits were dry and they couldn't get overmedium eggs right after 2 tries. First ones looked more scrambled, 2nd batch had yolks bit looked like 1 and a half eggs and messy. $17 PLUS $5 for a small gravy. . Also if you want jam that's a upcharge. .i don't recommend. The grits were good and only good part of meal. Sausage was lukewarm I am editing. I dont know how to respond to the owner so will add my thoughts here in reguards to what the owner stated. okay great local and fresh is great. I should have received perfect eggs since it's supposed to be a culinary experience. instead when it was addressed it didn't matter that I had sloppy, thrown eggs on my plate. Believe me, you're restaurant is overpriced. it shouldn't take a expert to make a decent egg. Any other restaurant would have had gravy included for that price! I don't know what temperature you expect food to be, or what you're preference is but I doubt lukewarm would be exceptable again for a culinary experience. As a paying customer me not being 100% happy didnt matter but now it does? that's not how it should work.

I found this place to be underwhelming. I ordered the blackberry and peach salad which was recommended by the waitreess. The salad is described in the following order fennel, peach, blackberry and lardo. The salad had three micro slices of fennel and was COVERED in lardo. It was a lardo salad with some other stuff. The blackberries were bitter and clearly not fresh. To save the night, I got the scotch egg which was unique and very tasty. I liked the romesco sauce and pickled onions with the fatty scotch egg. My table also ordered the fries which I thought were overcooked and annoyingly small pieces (end of bag?). Wouldn’t return and uncertain about all the hype. Maybe I just ordered wrong.

You can taste the quality and care in every bite, and the commitment to local sourcing truly sets them apart. A go-to spot for a memorable meal in Columbia!

Went there on a first date. Got stood up. Decided to eat alone. Had the lamb porchetta, great seasonal dish. Went to the bar after I ate. Told my story to what looked like a few regulars. Got a free drink of the most amazing Spanish whisky from the top of the ladder thanks to the most friendly bartender/ maybe part owner. Ended up meeting an amazing woman later on, different story. I've been to restaurants, I've worked in many. The experience and atmosphere are amazing. The chef/ soux chef/ line cooks are top tier. Great experience.

Ernie's Cafe & Steak House is a charming diner that has been serving American comfort food, breakfast, and sundaes in an Art Deco building since 1934. The staff is known for being super friendly and efficient, ensuring that your coffee cup is always full. The food is served quickly and in generous portions, with options like Belgian Waffles, hash browns, and bacon receiving high praise. The diner also boasts a welcoming atmosphere with cute decor.
I over-ordered but glad I did. The food is good, eggs were nicely done, hashbrown was super crunchy, and the porkchop was not salty at all!!! The atmosphere is very homey and the staff is very attentive, refilling my coffee constantly. As you can see the price is ridiculously affordable.

Ernie's Cafe & Steak House is a breakfast hotspot in Columbia, MO! This spot is so popular that you can expect a small wait on a weekend morning if you don't get there early enough! The service is friendly and quick, which makes the wait time for a table shorter than you would expect! This spot is known for their steaks, but you have to try the biscuits & gravy or the stacked French toast! Honestly, you can't go wrong ordering anything on the breakfast menu. If you are looking for a vintage vibe breakfast spot with spectacular entrees, visit Ernie's Cafe & Steak House!

First time visiting and I can’t believe I’ve waited so long to try Ernie’s. We went on a Sunday morning so I was worried about that wait but we got seated almost immediately. Our waiter was amazing and the food was really good. Unfortunately they had just ran out of biscuits and gravy when we got there but our waiter suggested the #1 on a bun and it was very good! Usually I don’t love going to businesses downtown, especially on a weekend when there’s an event going on, due to parking but Ernie’s is about a 3 minute walk from the parking garage on walnut. Will definitely come back.

Well this place is a gem iam on straight diet so could not get what most people would want but this is very good spot to come relax eat breakfast and enjoy a good vibe parking may be a little difficult and if it gets to busy may be a bit slower but other then that good place to eat at

Stopped in before leaving Columbia, started the day off great. Service was fantastic, everyone pleasant and polite and the food was great. Had the #8 ham steak and #12 the sampler, eggs were perfect and portions good, not too much but more than enough. We took a chance not wanting to eat in the hotel and this was perfect. Great food and at a good price. We will be back on our next trip to Columbia. I highly recommend you’ll love it.

This was probably one of the best diner experiences I've had in a long time. The food was amazing, I got the sampler and my partner got the French toast and both were exactly what you want for a nice breakfast. The servers were extremely friendly and quick with taking orders. The place was a bit loud but in a way that made it feel more comfortable, and facilitated having more fun conversations with your party. We were there shortly after it opened and there was no line, but I've been made aware that if you wait a bit it tends to get pretty busy, and a line normally forms. If you're looking for a good breakfast in Columbia and the line isn't out the door this is the place to go!

The food was great. It was our first time eating in an All-American diner!

Thai restaurant
Bangkok Gardens is a beloved destination for those craving authentic Thai cuisine in a welcoming and airy setting. With its charming balcony seating, the restaurant offers an inviting atmosphere that stands out from typical fast-food options. Vegetarians will find plenty to love here, as the menu allows for delightful customization of traditional dishes; the Combo Vegetarian Platter is a must-try! Diners rave about their experiences over nearly two decades, highlighting favorites like Drunken Noodles and Crab Rangoon.
my girlfriend and I had dinner here recently, and we loved it! everything tasted very fresh, and the pineapple fried rice was some of the best I've ever had...they made it absurdly spicy just like I requested! service and atmosphere were excellent as well....they were busy, and we were up on the second level, but our server still came up to check on us often. we'll definitely be back next time we're in Columbia!

Return trip to this delicious restaurant. Order freshly cooked. Menu has no pictures available only descriptions of choices. Ask waittress for favorites if new to this restaurant very helpful waitress. Our party of seven had variety of dishes. I am no expert to explain dishes. Drunken selection with chicken was superb. Their signature Phai Thai dish with PB in was plentiful and delicious, can never go wrong with this selection. Had sauce on side . The chicken was very moist in all our dishes! Our service was great and no wait to be seated which was unusual as this is a busy establishment. Recommend this restaurant for quiet, comfortable atmosphere & delicious entrees amongst friends. Family. We will return in near. Future. Our visit was 4/15/25

The best Thai restaurant in central Missouri. Wonderful food and atmosphere.

Green Curry Lo Mein is my favorite so far. It’s so flavorful.I would suggest getting spice level of 3 for even people who can tolerate spice.

Thai food is my favorite and I eat it weekly. NEVER going to this place again. Pot stickers were not steamed but cold and dry. I ordered Pad Thai with pork and it came with a vinegar sauce that was so bitter I couldn't eat it. The pork dry and hard to chew. The WORST thing about it was its one of the most expensive Thai places I’ve ever eaten….$24 plus tip just for my entree. ROBBERY.!!! Bring a sweater it was freezing inside…better yet save yourself and don’t go. 💕 WAITER Nathan was exceptional. Kuddos to him he should go work at a more upscale establishment!!

On the expensive side, and portions per dish are very inconsistent. Village rolls were nice and large, but dripping with insane amounts of oil and we couldn't tell if they had given us vegetable rolls or chicken. It was just a ton of very bland cabbage. Demon chicken was a good level of heat for the authentic thai level, and had a nice smoky char on the veggies, but not much other seasoning to round it out. Serving was surprisingly small for an $11 dish, and while they were generous with the large charred veggies there were 5 pieces of tough chicken total. Wife got drunken noodles with chicken which was much better seasoned, if maybe a little too sweet. Portions were larger for this one, but again it was mostly vegetables, with a few pieces of rubbery chicken. Not bad all together, but not worth returning for the price for the servings.

Our main entrees were fine, but our appetizer order of crab rangoons were raw twice, stretchy wonton wrapper. The first time, our waitress said, "oh yeah, that's wrong, I'll put another order in for you." The second time, they came out the exactly same way, still with cold middles and stretchy wonton dough, and she said that's how they always come out and she won't be able to take them off the bill (not that I had asked for that). Still, wild we paid $8 and didn't get to have a single crab rangoon.

My wife and I really enjoy this place. Tonight was no exception. My Phat Thai was amazing and my wife got Phat Prik Nheu. She really liked the sauce on her food! We also split the Thai-phoon platter. We would highly recommend this and I really liked the grilled chicken.

Arriving here I was stressed out of my mind because my sweet, loving husband fat-fingered the keyboard and booked our flight for the wrong date. The best part was we drove an hour and a half to the airport before realizing the mistake. I’ve never been so nervous. I can’t tell you the last time (before today) that I went to an airport and dealt with a positive, happy employee. I wasn’t ready to have an unpleasant ticket agent. Luckily, we had the opposite! Stephen with American Airlines/Eagle came to the desk to help us even though the front desk wasn’t quite open yet. I’ve never experienced a more welcoming personality at an airport in my life. Stephen helped us resolve our issue and basically saved the day. Not only did Stephen help us, a while later he checked on us while we were waiting for boarding and made sure we were ok! We encountered several other associates and employees during our visit and each one was more than pleasant. Thank you Columbia Regional for turning around a stressful day and making it such a positive experience!

Started off my COU experience terrible, being charged 150$ for a bag with a broken zipper was not a good way to start the trip. But even tho my flight is delayed, watching this guy work has made the bad experience at the front all worth it. He was kind and understanding with everyone who had flights delayed, He went above and beyond! COU I hope this guy gets some recognition on how professional he is!!

The airport is nice and clean definitely easy to fly in and out of. The american airlines gate attendant on the other hand has a tendaency to be very rude and disrespectful to customers. Violates his own companys policys on whats a carry on and whats a personal bag. I never have issues with any one else just one person in perticukar. My last flight he forced me to put my carry on under my seat due to his own ignorance. Ive also watched as hes locked the gate in people's faces and refused to allow them the board even with more then fifteen minutes before departure.

Very uncluttered, simple and easy to manage getting around. Though food and drinks are very high, almost 10 dollars for a hamburger and 4 dollars for a drink.plenty of parking for pickup and drop off.the signs to track flight information was very clear and easy to understand.

Every Columbia resident knows that when you fly out of COU, you incur the degree of risk associated with regional airports: limited flights, higher potential for craft and crew delays, etc. What I don't think we talk about enough are the high points of our local airport: It is quick, easy, clean, and of course close to home. Most importantly: The PEOPLE. I have never had better experiences with any TSA or ticketing staff than I do here. A baseline sense of unease and negativity is simply not present here the way that it is in most airports. Feeling like a real person is a rarity in an airport these days, and COU delivers every time on that front because the staff see the patrons as real people and not an inconvenience. This allows an enjoyable level of mutual respect between patrons and staff, and I cannot convey how refreshing that is in today's world. As I type, I am facing a delay and rerouting scenario that changes my travel plans significantly, but it's been a pleasant experience nonetheless because everyone I've seen here today has been treated with courtesy, respect, and kindness. THANK YOU Columbia Regional Airport for being so great at what you do. It means so much!

Flew into COU Airport, arrived and there was ZERO transportation available… no Uber, No taxi, no shuttle… ZERO options. Arrived back at airport to fly back and the TSA checks were “on break til 6pm”. There was no option to sit at the terminal until 15mins prior to boarding. Thankfully it wasnt busy (for obvious reasons). Attempted to fly out after work, and the flight was delayed because the plane required a basic maintenance, and this airport doesn’t have the resources to keep staffing for basic maintenance past 5pm. The connection flights for everyone on the plane was sabotaged because this broken airport doesn’t keep maintenance staff at the airport after 5pm. Do yourself a favor and drive to KC or St Louis to an airport that invests in itself.

A very convenient airport to fly out of if you don’t want to drive to STL or KC but there is rarely any parking available and it takes 30 minutes for bags to arrive at baggage claim

My wife has always had on time flights. Ample FREE parking and ability to get flights to many destinations from a very modern local airport.
