Museums
Non-profit organization
Lynn Meadows Discovery Center, located in Gulfport, Mississippi, is the state's first children's museum. Housed in a former school building dating back to 1916, it offers 15,000 square feet of indoor exhibit space and six acres of outdoor play area. The center aims to enhance educational and social skills through interactive exhibits on history, diverse cultures, and science.
My son and I visited Friday, March 28th for their free Community Birthday Party, which so happened to land right on his Birthday 🎉 We had so much fun! He was so entertained and so invested in everything the museum had to offer. It's perfect for little kids. There's so so much for them to do! We will definitely be going again 😁

We traveled over from Mobile, AL because we’ve heard such great things. We were not disappointed. We came about 2pm on a Saturday and it was perfect. We had most of the place to ourselves. It was nice and clean. My 5 year old loved everything inside. Then we headed to the splash pad. We will be back for sure.
Holly G — Google review
Great place to visit for all ages and they have a reciprocal membership from other science museums. It was fun our girls who were 3, 7 and 9! We went twice during this trip!
Wes M — Google review
I spent the day here with my family and we had a blast. The museum kept my 7 year old and 5 year old busy for hours. There's no cafe, but they allowed us to do our own picnic lunch at the picnic tables. Most of the exhibits were in good working order. Children are constantly testing the exhibits so it makes sense to me that not everything was working as intended. Also, the tree house was being worked on at the time of our visit, but happy to see improvement and repair taking place. The art studio let us build a craft and the kids loved it. We closed out the day at the splash pad. $60 for the day for the family and we got our money's worth. My only gripe is that the power button for the splash pad needs a sign or something painted on the ground.
Blake C — Google review
We had a fantastic time at the Discovery Center today! While it is geared towards younger kids, my 8 year old daughter & 11 year old son had a blast! We spent a good 2.5/3 hours there! It is SO clean! They especially loved the Art room, that was actually a highlight to the day. I love that we were allowed to leave, and come back since I didn’t realize we could bring food/drinks in. If you have smaller children, this is a must to bring them to get energy out. The grounds are beautiful as well, and it is quite a peaceful place. Well worth the money.
Evelyn I — Google review
This place was fantastic!! The kids with us ranged from 5 years - 11 years (47 years technically 😉), and everyone had a BLAST!! Seriously, it is SO MUCH FUN! Can't wait to go back the next time we are in Biloxi.
B R — Google review
This is a great place to take the kids and just let them get some energy out. It's clean, including crews that walk around whose job is literally just to put stuff back where it goes. There are such fun interactive areas from a grocery store to a vet's office, and even an area just for under 4 years old. There's a large climbing structure in the middle which is fun and fairly safe since the kids can't fall out of it. It does need some cleaning attention though. The areas are carpeted and it doesn't look like they ever been cleaned. I gave it 4 stars because some of the outdoor structures including some tree houses and climbable structures look like they need some serious maintenance and refurbishment. And with all the people inside, it was quite hot. They do have some pipes that deliver random areas of extra air conditioning but they could use some more. There's also a gift shop that has snacks and drinks, but other than water fountains, there's no vending machines inside the main building which would be helpful for parents. They could also use a few more benches for parents to sit while the kids run around or play in each section. Overall, great little place with reasonable pricing that allows kids some time for creativity and getting some energy out. We live out of state and come in for vacation to our beach house in Long Beach and this is always on our list of things to do.

It was an awesome experience with the grandkids and my big kids! We all had fun experiencing all the exhibits!! Very friendly for all ages!!

Gulf Islands Waterpark

Water park
Water & Amusement Parks
Gulf Islands Waterpark is the largest water park along the Mississippi coast, offering a fantastic island-themed experience for families. With a range of attractions including slides, rides, pools, and special events like celebrity meet & greets, it's an ideal destination for a fun day out with the kids. The park features areas tailored to different age groups, from a lazy river and wave pool for small children to thrilling waterslides like the Riptide Racer and Master Blaster for older kids.
Rent the sun deck or cabana early. It’s hot. It’s worth it! Facilities are well maintained. Will run out of ice at peak time, but it fills back up. The staff, particularly at the top of the kiddie slides, are attentive. While the food options at the park are typical water park fare, they are adequate. Outside food and drinks are not permitted.
Damian D — Google review
Visited with my 4yr old son this past weekend. We had a great time. It was a safe, clean, friendly atmosphere. The staff was readily available and very helpful. Plenty of rides to keep us busy. We didn't eat or buy any extras. The free drink bar was a pleasant surprise. We will definitely be back
Jeremy D — Google review
Had great experience. Kids and adults loved it. Circular Lazy River (you can stand in) has multiple entrances and exits. Use rafts for free. In the center wavepool comes on every 20 minutes. Plenty of life guards. Lockers for valuables. Small restaurant for burgers etc... Free drinks!Looks like you can rent a cabana or get there early to snag an umbrella area with chase lounge chairs. Dressing rooms to change. Everything you need for a fun day. Very clean. Will return.
Richie L — Google review
This place is awesome except for the price of food, which is insultingly expensive. Ice cream is $6 for barely 4oz of frozen yogurt. Chicken was good but I spent $35 on enough chicken for only 2 kids. Again, this place is really great but something needs to be done about food prices. We will definitely be coming back at least 2 more times this summer but we will never buy anything inside again. I feel bad for the employees. I can't be the only parent who is shocked at the food prices.
Russell B — Google review
I came here with my daughter for a band trip in ‘23 so yesterday I took my youngest 3 and niece. We had a blast. The rides are really fun especially the one that waves a lil. We will be back again!
Shetandra J — Google review
The staff was friendly and helpful. It's a nice size waterpark with decent food options. The free drinks and parking is a plus. I recommend getting there early to get a space with an umbrella. The claim shells aren't really work it. Only 1/2 is shaded.
Caramel S — Google review
You really can't beat the season pass price for some summertime water fun! The lazy river was fun. We only tried the water slides a couple of times. Many things need painting, cleaning, and updating. Half of the longers are broken and don't allow you to sit up. There's is noticeable wear and tear on all the slides. We like that they added frozen alcoholic drinks, but they didn't taste that great for the price. On the plus side, the bathrooms and changing areas were always kept clean. With a few updates, touch-ups, and a few special events, Gulf Islands water park could be great, as for now, it's just ok.
Jocelyn L — Google review
The kids had so much fun! The staff were so polite and helpful. Can't wait to come back next season

Mississippi Aquarium

Aquarium
Zoos & Aquariums
The Mississippi Aquarium is a top-notch facility spanning 5.8 acres of indoor and outdoor marine environments, dedicated to educating visitors about invaluable ecosystems and aquatic wildlife. It features over 200 species across 12 habitats, including the Atlantic bottlenose dolphin and alligator snapping turtle. This nonprofit aquarium in Gulfport offers an educational experience suitable for all ages, making it a perfect family activity.
This was a great place to come for a while. If I had young children I'd absolutely bring them. Highlights: 1. Many of their animals come because they are deemed unable to survive on their own in the wild, which in and of itself is awesome. 2. Staff was very welcoming and engaging. 3. Variety of exhibits was good. 4. Parking was very easy. I think it cost $5 or $10 at the garage. Having paid for parking in Chicago, Boston, New Orleans, Phoenix, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas, complaints about that price are unreasonable. Low Lights: 1. It's definitely small. Personally that wasn't super bothersome, but it's definitely not one of those full day excursions.
Ray B — Google review
There's so much to see. The kids will love it. A little bit of it is outside such as the fresh water fish, the river otters, the alligators, and the dolphins. The rest of the exhibit is all inside with excellent air conditioning. They have a touch tank inside as well which the kids loved. They have quite a bit of exhibits to see. Great for when it's hot outside and need something to do.
Jake M — Google review
Mississippi Aquarium – Gulfport, MS The aquarium is on the smaller side, but I was pleasantly surprised by how nice it is, especially for a small town. Admission was $70 for the two of us, but we didn’t mind paying since we knew it helps support the aquarium. (Tip: tickets are a little cheaper if you buy them online at least 24 hours in advance.) It was just my boyfriend and me, and it took us about two hours to walk through and see everything at a relaxed pace. They also have a dolphin show, which we sat down to watch, it was fun and definitely worth catching. Overall, a very enjoyable experience.
Kathy H — Google review
I've been here twice, and both times have had a wonderful time. My husband and I had the pleasure to meet Maureen both times and she is such a fountain of knowledge and passion, it's hard not to match her love of nature as she teaches you about whatever station she is at. I left both times having learned something new about the dolphins as well as the birds in the Aviary (including the gorgeous ducks Marshmallow, Dolly Parton, and Stevie Nicks) It's one of the smaller aquariums I've been to, but is well worth the visit each time. My family and I will be back, possibly monthly.
Onyx A — Google review
We enjoyed our visit to the aquarium. It was smaller than we thought it would be from videos that we watched, but we really enjoyed our time together. Lots of families with small children, that loved the animals. Things to do indoors and outdoors. The Aquarium though small was beautiful and so clean. Fun watching the Dolphins, Otters, Beavers. My kids, though grown really love interacting with and touching the string rays, and what a beautiful presentation. Cleanest restrooms in Gulfport, for sure. Which is very appreciated if you have children. I wish I had taken more photos with my phone, but we were using our cameras instead. Open bag policy, at the gate when you come in. No food or drinks allowed in from the outside. I saw a few parents taking things back to the car. Because of the size, this isn’t an all day spot. So that will be great for families with young kiddos. The hours are 10:00 am to 5:00 pm 7 days per week. The price is about $33.00 plus tax. Drinks inside were expensive, $4.00 for a bottle of water, great food at the snack bar, burgers were amazing with fries hot off the fryer.
Melissa B — Google review
This aquarium was a great surprise at how nice it was. You are greeting by a hands on aquarium filled with many species of aquatic life. All habitats were clean with clear water … and well taken care of. There was an area with insects also. Outside there were several exhibits including otters and a large dolphin tank. Some of the feedings were only done once a day so I would plan before you go. There was a small cafe with food. Also a large gift shop but it was quite expensive. Overall spent about 2 hours there. Highly recommend.
Nicole R — Google review
Small aquarium but its very nice for what it is. Take your time and enjoy it. My daughter loves it. I've been to many but this one is very modern, well kept, clean and cute. Park in the garage and its just a short walk. Enjoy.
P. V — Google review
Great stop in Gulfport! Worth seeing, not worth going to see. There was a mix of larger exhibits with smaller ones dotted around the guided walk through. The indoor and outdoor spaces were very cool and provided a great escape from the summer heat. The aviary had a very well educated guide who was happy to point out and share facts on every bird. It’s was slightly crowded on the Sunday afternoon we went with many screaming children adding to the peaceful ambiance. Over all a fun aquarium which was a little pricey but a great way to kill an afternoon.

Chandeleur Island Brewing Company, located in Gulfport, Mississippi, was established by Cammack and Cain Roberds, who turned their passion for craft beer into a business in 2013. The brewery is housed in a historic downtown building close to the coast and offers a unique selection of beers including ales, stouts, and porters made with carefully selected ingredients. The colorful branding of their beer cans is an attraction on its own.
It was a really nice venue I got 2 beers strange planet, tasted like champagne, Ole buddy smooth but potent. I also ordered freemason burger with freshly fried pork skins highly recommend.
Michael B — Google review
Incredible brewery with an extensive draft list and amazing service. The bar tenders were very friendly and easy to engage in conversation. They also made lots of great suggestions ensuring that we enjoyed every brew. Food portions are on the smaller side so order extra bc it all tasted great!
Derek C — Google review
I recommend visiting on a weekday. We visited on a weekday and on a Saturday evening. The difference between the two experiences is huge. While the weekday experience is a solid five-star rating, the weekend experience is a complete disappointment. Therefore, on average 5+2=3.5 stars. On a weekday, you'll get a selection of six drinks in beautiful glasses, while on a Saturday evening, the best you can hope for is one plastic drink from a limited selection. But if I were to recommend it, I'd suggest a Clarify or Oyster.
Victoria S — Google review
After a morning of sitting in the sand and HOT sun we picked this place! The beer selections are plentiful and I decided on a flight. They were all good and my favorite was Loretta Amber Ale. For bites the Bang Bang Shrimp Taco was delicious. I'm a chip eater so I got the Chips and Dips. Very satisfying and tasty!! That cheese beer dip, tho!!! Whaaaa?!!?! If I'm ever back in the area I will return. Great atmosphere. Great service. Delicious food. Highly recommend.
Sandy G — Google review
We had a great evening sampling the fantastic variety of beer on tap. The staff and crowd were chill and friendly, and the live music added to the atmosphere without being overpowering. Well-behaved dogs also passed through. We tried some of their food, too, and it is a notable step up from bar food. We definitely recommend a visit. Swing through Gulfport just for a visit here. We left with a couple 4 packs to share with friends at home.
Ivy H — Google review
Visited on a Saturday afternoon. Pretty large selection of beers, probably about 20 ish? Varied seating, a few TVs, and a stage for live music that was setting up to start but we did not stay for. Overall we enjoyed it. It was pretty relaxed and quiet which is kind of what we were looking for.
Kevin F — Google review
My friend and I stopped in on Sour Sunday! She did some research and this was a place to stop when in town and I definitely agree! It's a seat yourself, order at the bar place. The food was so good! The bartender was adorable! They also had live music! I would make time to come back if I'm ever here again! (:
Markie C — Google review
Love their alkaline water. I transported 5 gallons back to MS it’s the best water I’ve had. Even the packaging is top tier, you will recieve glass jugs. The people are nice & knowledgeable as well! Love this company.

Ship Island Excursions

Islands
Ship Island Excursions offers cruises to West Ship Island, known for having the best beaches in Mississippi. Located 11 miles south of Gulfport, this island is one of the state's five barrier islands and is home to the historic Fort Massachusetts. Visitors can enjoy clear waters, clean sands, and a chance to spot dolphins during the cruise.
Wonderful experience to visit the beach beyond the barrier Islands. Fort Massachusetts provides a history lesson that is very interesting to young and old. Victor who was with the park gave us a lot of information I'm about on the way out and back. At the fort we had a Great tour and presentation by a wonderful young woman and when I remember I will put it in this post! I recommend this trip. You definitely need to bring some protection and a few bottles of water for each person. There is a drinking fountain behind the little restaurant where you can refill your water bottles. The snack bar sells cheeseburgers hamburgers chili dogs chips soft drinks and beers with a few other things thrown in. A little store has just about anything that you could need on the island from some protection to swimsuits and towels. The chair rentals and umbrellas are a little pricey in my opinion so we skipped those. There was a woman named Vicky who said she was from Biloxi who was extremely rude to the tourists! She had come in on a private boat and seemed to be stopping people as they got on and off the boat just to say something nasty. She was making fun of an older woman who was wearing a snorkel vest and mask when I walk by. She seemed to have an agenda of just making the tourists feel as if they shouldn't be there.
Jack L — Google review
The ferry ride was enjoyable we even saw some dolphins along the way. The walk to the south part of the island is a bit of a walk and the sand is EXTREMELY hot especially the black sand. They should think about extending the walking deck a little bit further. The other side of the island where the ferry drops you off has nice sand but there are no chairs and umbrellas offered. On that side you can also see stingrays and fish. The fort was neat to see and the tour guide was informative.
Stacy G — Google review
Absolutely loved it. Took our daughter for her 10th birthday. Not to mention her first trip to the gulf. The staff were so nice and would come around and point out interesting things along the ferry ride. We saw everything you could have wanted too. So many dolphins, brown rays/sting rays, blue crabs, fish, pelicans, hermit crab, sea turtle, a bloom of jelly fish and a Shark!!! My daughter said it was the best birthday ever. They even announced her birthday over the intercom from the Captain and the crew. We did the family plan and it was so worth every penny. We are already planning a next trip. Thank you everyone at Ship Island!!
Tracy V — Google review
We took the cruise out to Ship Island on a Monday morning. We took the 9 AM boat ride out. It was a full ride but did not feel overly crowded. There are 4 bathrooms on the boat which is nice especially when you are traveling with kids and asking them to hold it is not always an option. There is also a snack shop on board that is reasonably priced and it’s air conditioned in that section if you are too hot sitting outside. The boat ride takes about an hour and it’s so beautiful. We saw dolphins, crabs, a couple turtles, and schools of fish while we traveled to shore. Once we came to shore, it’s about a 1/3 mile trek to the beach - be advised that you must carry everything and no wagons are allowed. However - because we purchased the family pack online, our umbrella and chairs were included and that was very nice. The sand is HOT so make sure to wear your shoes all the time when walking around. There is a snack shop on the beach - we had cheeseburgers and a chicken wrap for lunch which weren’t too bad. The beach was clean and the water was clear. We saw tons of blue crab scuttling around the ocean floor. It wasn’t too crowded at all. On the way back to the boat, we walked around Fort a Massachusetts which was pretty cool. We took the 2:30 shuttle back to the mainland and purchased the family photo keepsake. I say it was definitely worth the money especially if you like quiet beaches.
Josie M — Google review
The cruise takes about 45 to the island with beautiful views of wildlife. Once on the island,it is a little bit of a walk to get to the south end where the swim area is. Water was clear, and beaches well kept. Our kids had fun catching crab and playing in the waves. The ride back was even more amazing as the sun was coming down and dolphins playing. It's definitely worth it to purchase the family package and let them pack your ice chest with your selection of drinks.
Jason R — Google review
Great day tour out to ship island/Fort Massachusetts. Hour boat ride out to the island where you can explore, swim, view wildlife. Little shop for food, water, snacks… etc. See dolphins, catch crabs, even saw a small shark. Staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. Park rangers will give a tour and history presentation about the island and fort. The beach was very nice as well. Chairs and umbrellas for rent and lifeguards on duty.
Patrick R — Google review
The ferry service was great and the crew really friendly. It was super hot and I recommend close toed shoes for the boardwalk and sandy beach. The sand was extremely hot that day. Even with sandals, I burned my feet when my foot would slip. It's a 10 to 15 minute walk on the boardwalk to the south side of the island. Once there you can rent a chair and umbrella if you don't bring your own. Remember you have to carry everything yourself. No wagons are allowed. There is a snack bar and water fountains along with restrooms.
Raiona H — Google review
So incredibly worth it. About an hour ferry ride (very smooth and saw some dolphins) and a bit of a walk across the island, but then it is spectacular. Lots of little crabs in the water but it’s clear enough to see them. Facilities and food were excellent. No trip to Gulfport, MS should be without it

TrainTastic! Train Museum formerly: Mississippi Coast Model Railroad Museum

Rail museum
Museums
The Mississippi Coast Model Railroad Museum boasts an extensive collection of model train layouts in different scales, including G scale trains on elevated and ground levels. The museum also features interactive layouts for children to operate and enjoy, as well as outdoor garden displays and themed exhibits such as Jurassic Park and Futurama. Moreover, it is home to the largest LEGO(R) railroad display in Mississippi with over 2 million pieces.
My girlfriend and I visited Traintastic in Gulfport on May 25th, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience! This museum is much more than just a display — it’s an immersive adventure into the fascinating world of trains. What really made our visit special was the friendliness of the staff. Everyone we encountered was warm, welcoming, and genuinely enthusiastic about sharing their knowledge. The exhibit itself is enormous — one of the largest model railroad displays in the world — with dozens of intricately detailed layouts that showcase different eras and regions of American railroading. The craftsmanship is impressive, and the scale of the museum means there’s always something new to discover around every corner. The facility is nearly spotless and very well maintained, which makes wandering through the extensive exhibits even more enjoyable. We also loved the interactive elements, from operating model trains to engaging with hands-on displays that explain the science and engineering behind trains. Whether you’re passionate about trains or simply looking for a unique, fun outing in Gulfport, this museum is definitely worth a visit.

This place is awesome! It's like the Tartis, bigger on the inside. Driving up to it, you think there's not much to it but once inside the fun begins. My grandsons love trains and this place delivers. There are model trains, Lego trains, Thomas trains, riding trains! There is an "I spy" activity to find different things in the train set ups. My daughter and I had a great time doing it. There is a big open play area for big kids and a soft play area for tiny tots, with other activities for children all around. I highly recommend this place for kids and adults.

My family had an INCREDIBLE time! Initially, I felt that the price was too high given that we had been to their old location and it only took about an hour and a half to see everything. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find that they have VASTly expanded at their new location. It is huge and took most of the day. The atmosphere gets a 10 out of 10! The decorations and theming is so creative and fun. I don't even care for trains but they caught my interest. There were things for all ages, PERFECT for families like mine with kids ranging in age from toddlers to preteens. The museum starts with an immersive train ride experience with visuals from a train within the museum giving the illusion that you're of miniature scale. Then, there's a small model railroad history section. Next up was a wide variety and array of model train displays. The museum has done a great job making it interactive with I spy set ups for several displays, buttons to interact with the displays, interspersed children's train sets and legos, as well as tunnels into the middle of the displays. Our favorite part was the train with a camera that you can watch from a control booth. We all got a kick out of it, it's a must see feature. Next we went outside and enjoyed the swing, peddal trains, and train ride. These rides were my kids' favorite. Next we went to the indoor playground area which was very nice. The climbing equipment was high quality and offered a variety of ways to climb great for children of different sizes and abilities. The party rooms with cute storefront facades can be seen from here. They have 2 quarter machines and a very convenient coin machine so be sure to bring cash if your kids are small enough to want to ride. They also had a play area perfect for babies with padding that was gated in. There's also a picnic area. Next we played in the caboose, dining car, cargo mover, and engine play areas. In the middle are the restrooms. There's a great expanse of stalls, family restrooms, and even a nursing room. The facilities were all very clean and well kept. Next we played in the greatroom. They had a fun green screen train set up, train set building area (that was mostly empty when we were there), a replica of the coast, and a REALLY fun interactive art exhibit. There you design your own train on paper and bring it to life on the animated screen. Lastly, we visited the "STEAM" room. This was the only disappointing part for my family. The staff kept getting us they had games in there, but we found none 🤷‍♀️. There was just some coloring pages and building toy sets. The gift shop on your way out was really great! The prices weren't as bad as I had expected. Overall, HIGHLY recommend! Guranteed to have a GREAT time!

This place is amazing and a breath of fresh air for a family outing. Interesting and entertaining. The play area was unexpected but also welcome and really great! They also made accomodations for our autistic son without hesitation, which really let us exhale, ha. 10/10, 100/100. Bring the fam and have fun!
Malone S — Google review
An absolutely amazing experience! We brought our 2 year old and he was so excited to press the buttons to make the trains go to playing in the activity area and riding the mini train. I was just as excited to see the set ups and the detail on each track. I recommend anyone with small kids or an interest in trains that this is 200% a place you need to visit. If we lived full time in the area we would most definitely buy a season pass.
Anthony M — Google review
An absolute gem on the coast! By far the best collection of model trains I've ever seen. The scenes, towns, people, all amazing. The attention to detail second to none. Extremely friendly, helpful, and informative staff were available and ready to answer any and all questions. Spent several hours and will definitely be coming back. I highly recommend checking this place out!
Chuck S — Google review
This a great little hidden gem for anyone who has even the slightest interest in model railroading. Several displays with running trains. It's self guides but there are plenty of the staff to answer questions and provide detailed info on the displays. Well worth the modest entrance fee. There are things to do for the Littles in your group too.
Stevan B — Google review
We thoroughly enjoyed our first time visiting the Traintastic museum. The displays are great to look at and very detailed. The staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable and more than willing to take a few minutes to talk about the wonderful work on display. We will definitely be back.

Huge park adjacent to the marina, the beach, the aquarium, and a few blocks from downtown. It's very peaceful and beautifully maintained. The walking "track" is about 1 mile around, so it's perfect for fitness, but I also enjoy going there to just hang out. There's a farmers market here on Wednesdays, and all kinds of events during Summer and the Holiday season. I love walking my dog here, too. Jones Park is one of the best things about Gulfport!

One of my favorite beachside places in the world. The fishing was excellent that day. The vibe was peaceful and everyone got along well which is a rarity these days. You would be missing out if you passed Jones Park on a good weak day.

GREAT place to come and enjoy time with your family! Or just take a moment to yourself and catch a cool fresh breeze. There’s nothing like a beautiful day outdoors at Jones Park 🏖️! Also it sits right across the street from the beautiful Gulf Coast Aquarium 🐠!

What a fabulous place. Highly recommend. It offered needed respite and shade from the heat to read my book, a beautiful sandy beach to take a sunset stroll, and fishing piers to make small talk with local fisherman at night as the waves lapped at the shores.

Nice big lot. I was able to park my 21-ft vehicle there. Spent some time on the beach. It was nice. Nice Sandy area for bathers. They have a pavilion and hold different events here. There is a large Park where they do a lot of displays for Christmas and things like that.

We visit here frequently! They keep it very clean! Beautiful place to walk on the path in the park, wonderful play area for the kids, great to play in the sand and watch sunsets. Also an extremely great venue for events. ONLY catch.. bathrooms are on one side and were built high up. Those are often not always the cleanest but that's from the public being careless.
Heather B — Google review
It is beautiful! Lots of walking paths. The pier is so nice with great views! Walking around the marina is so beautiful too. The playground for the kids is in the shape of ships. Highly recommend for a peaceful walk! There are restrooms around the splash pad.

We love putting our boat in her at the launch. We enjoy going out to Ship Island. The only problem is the trailer parking is too far away. It is definitely set up for the day excursions.

Located between New Orleans and Mobile, this outlet mall provides a satisfying shopping experience for enthusiasts.
Gulfport premium outlet is a very nice outlet just outside New Orleans. It has a fairly good selection of high bread mixed with local brands. There is also food trucks and other people selling stuff. There is usually some good deals to be made when you shop in the premium outlet store. Check it out. 😎

Nice shopping center with plenty of parking and a variety of stores. We went to a few stores, Nike, Gap, Journey's, the staff was nice, stores clean and organized. We didn't really see any good deals for what we were shopping for and the prices we just ok. I would still recommend to check them out if you're in the area.

The Gulfport Premium Outlets is not quite as large as some but is every bit as nice or nicer than any other we have visited. Almost all of the major brands are represented. The grounds are kept very clean and well manicured. All of the store staff and mall personnel are very welcoming. A fun place to shop.

The Sketchers store personnel are the best! Helped me with my compromised mobility mom's shoe experience today. Didn't catch his name, dark hair in a ponytail and a mask. Thank u for being so kind!!

Nice outlet mall for those who like the stores that are there. Not many stores are there that I care for, but did go in Under Armour, who had a nice sale going on. No food court anymore. Lots of parking in front and back of site.

Great experience! The bathroom we went to was so clean and smelled good. Grounds were well-kept! Highly recommend this outlet mall!
Haleigh M — Google review
It's alright but I was thinking it was going to be significantly bigger from the initial view from the I-10. Theres some good shops there but it's missing that taken care of feel it just looks like highschool hallways. It needs to expand, there's a whole closed off road to build off of. The parking lot, get rid of some of it. Build a good food court, give something to attract everyone even further. I just think there's much more that could make this outlet significantly more appealing and would bring more storefronts to the outlet scene in gulfport.
LG — Google review
Very clean outlet mall with plenty of parking. Customer service at Michael Kors was excellent. My wife found exactly what she was looking for, and the sales lady went out of her way to make her feel comfortable shopping there. There was not many people at the mall so parking was great.

Nice spot for any group, family or otherwise. Food was good for the most part; however, the fish was a little too salty for my liking or maybe it was the sauce that was on the fish and shrimp. Loved the pasta! Cocktails are good and everything else was great! Service was also great!

I had an amazing experience at Half Shell Oyster House in Gulfport. The service was top-notch — Kate behind the bar was attentive, personable, and gave excellent recommendations. The charbroiled oysters (cooked right in front of you) were absolutely delicious — the two gentlemen preparing them did a fantastic job. Pairing them with the sweet potato crème brûlée with honey butter and a glass of La Crema Chardonnay was perfect. A truly wonderful evening — can’t wait to come back!

I'm general we very much enjoyed our meal. The service was great and food arrived quickly. We had the Oyster Sampler which was awesome. My wife loved her seafood stuffed portabellas and we were both impressed with the serving. I had a bowl of gumbo and while I enjoyed the flavor, I thought the ingredients were skimpy. I got maybe two small slices of sausage and 6 tiny shrimp. Overall it was a good meal.

Fishbone Alley

Fishbone Alley, located between 26th and 27th avenues in Gulfport, is a unique pedestrian-only alleyway adorned with colorful graffiti, original murals, and reclaimed brick. Once a neglected space for trash dumping and maintenance access, it has been transformed into a vibrant cultural hotspot. Visitors can enjoy live music while strolling through this historic alley amid rows of downtown shops. The area's brick streets date back to the early 20th century, adding to its charm.
If you're an art/ graffiti lover, this is the spot for you. It's an alley behind a couple restaurants and bars and I go there periodically to see what new pieces the artists have put up. There's many photo ops there and I always leave with a new favorite. It's fun to get other people's opinions on the artwork as well. I love skulls 💀 so that's the first thing I look for. But definitely check it out in downtown Gulfport.
Ashley C — Google review
Nice place for people who like murals .. quick walk from the parking lots... I guess there are some more murals on the other end of the alley, which I missed but noticed when driving that side of the road.
Shalabh S — Google review
What a neat experience! I love that the city took it upon itself to preserve this alley and let local artists put their stamp on it. It’s a truly immersive urban experience—a feast for the eyes, with so much creative art to see. Just be prepared for the full sensory experience of an active city alley; it comes with its own unique aroma and a few local characters. It's so authentic you can practically taste the city, but you might want to bring a clothespin if you're sensitive! It would be even better if they added a plaque or a history marker to explain the story behind the art.
Adam C — Google review
Great place to hang out when in Gulfport! You can stroll down the alley and check out the cool artwork, bars and restaurants. Check the website to see if there will be live music during your visit. Enjoy the lights at night and take a few pics with friends and family to help capture the time spent with loved ones!

Fishbone Alley didn't really have the atmosphere that i would have expected. There was some nice street art, my favorite was definitely the one pictured in this review. It was supposedly a vibrant social hub, but to me it seemed empty and a little trashy. This place usually has great food. The other night was off. The manager lady that came by was a complete disappointment. She made crazy faces while I explained the problems I had with my food and made me feel like she had no care and took offense to what I was saying instead of being apologetic. She should not be allowed to talk to tables with that attitude. The other staff however, was wonderful. The hostess were on top of their stuff and made sure to get us a table we would like, even without a reservation. Brandy and Emily also spoke with us on the way out and was super apologetic and made us feel like we should come back again. They really did the job the other manager should have. Way to recover things ladies! Enjoyed our talk while we waited on the shuttle bus to pick us up. I rated this better than it was just because of past experiences here. We will be back because we know how good it really is, chalk it up to just a poor night. Better luck next time

What a major disappointment our evening out turned out to be. This was to be a treat for my wife’s birthday. 4 of us were seated by 6pm. Dining room was still sporting many empty tables all around us. Drinks and bread were brought to the table fairly quick. 25 minutes passed before we were finally able to order our appetizers and dinner. Took another 25 minutes to finally get our appetizers. Food was delicious! Sadly, the evening got worse. Waiting time for our meal was absolutely ridiculous. By 7:10pm we still hadn’t been served. No updates on the status of our meals, no excuses or apologies. We told our waiter to put everything in to go boxes. We’d had enough. Manager was out and about cleaning tables showing no concern. We watched the dining room fill up while also receiving their meals. We sat patiently for as long as we could stand. Still no dinner…. Spoke with the manager and explained that we were still waiting for our dinner to no avail. and later requested a discount for experiencing such terrible service. Declined to do so. Manager was told we hadn’t waited that long yet there we were… no dinner after nearly 1 1/2 hours. Manager was composed and seemed to be inexperienced but continued to insist we weren’t waiting too long…. Trying to shift or deflect blame on us. We enjoy fine dining and generally spend a lot to enjoy good food and good service. We’ve been dining at Steamers for years. In fact, we had family from out of town and treated them all to Steamers. $800 evening. Service and food were incredible and family really enjoyed the evening. Last night… $300 down the tubes…. We won’t be back and we’ll share our experience with friends and family. Sadly, restaurants are struggling to get and keep good help. Service in the area has been getting worse. Other businesses are struggling too. For the price people pay to enjoy dining at these restaurants, customers should get their money’s worth. Recommend everyone to avoid Steamers.

I was born and raised on the coast. I have eaten my fair share of seafood. This place is not on my list of places to recommend. I asked the waitress when we first got there if they had mojitos and if so what different flavors. She was not aware that there were different flavors of mojitos. My boyfriend and I ordered the corn bisque which came out looking like a dark gravy with corn in it. It had a strange strong seasoning taste to it. We did not enjoy it at all. We then ordered different shrimp options for our meal. They were all really bland in flavor once you peeled them since all of the dry seasoning was poured on top of the shrimp once plated and not cooked into the shrimp. We will not be back!

So we decided to try somewhere we haven’t been and when I say they could’ve kept the restaurant and the food, throw everything away. Felt like a restaurant off of one of the National Lapoon movies. Super outdated..food was mediocre & just “ok” absolutely nothing spectacular. Def a place to grab a bite if you need a break from gambling. We got the spinach dip, stuffed shrimp, surf n turf, red velvet cake…all was just 😑. Def needs a menu & environment upgrade!

We were disappointed with our meal on our visit. Oysters were very gritty, as though they had not been cleaned. Wife's Ribeye was VERY thin cut for the price. Being regular Island View visitors and locals, there are better options in the Casino and nearby.
Mike L — Google review
I love the ability of using comps from money gambled to eat meals within the Island View family of businesses. The royal red shrimps are sweet and juicy, try them! The seafood platters are perfect to share. I'm not sure what seasoning they use but they are so flavorful. I have always had great service. They have a pretty cool fountain outside where you can sit on the patio. All right across the street from the casino!

5+ STARS!! Our server, Brittany, was excellent! The food was beyond delicious! Took 2 separate pictures of the Redfish Pontchartrain! Took the crab off the top of the Redfish! Then decided after the fact that I wanted dessert! Don't forget the Red Velvet Cheesecake is sinful! Definitely will be a repeat customer!❤💥

Shaggy's Gulfport Beach is a popular waterfront eatery in the heart of Gulfport, offering stunning views of the Gulf of Mexico. The casual ambiance and welcoming staff make it a favorite among locals and tourists alike. Known for its delicious seafood, tropical cocktails, and southern specialties, Shaggy's provides an easygoing island atmosphere perfect for enjoying with family or friends.
We were staying at a hotel in walking distance to Shaggy’s and decided to give it a try after seeing such great reviews online. It was very busy but we only had to wait about 20 minutes to be seated which is very reasonable given how many people were there. They offered 1/2 priced drinks while you waited which was an added perk. My boys and I played cornhole outside which was a fun way to pass the time. Trinity and Emily both helped our table and both were super friendly and attentive to our needs. The boys ordered off the kids’ menus - the meals are served in frisbees that you get to keep and for only $7.99 (comes with entree, side, and a drink) I found that to be very reasonable. They ordered the popcorn shrimp with fries (he loved it) and my other son ordered the Alfredo pasta with a side salad. It was nothing to write home about but I’m not surprised about that. We also ordered the gator bites (yum!), fresh oysters (extra yum!), and my absolute favorite of the night - stuffed avocados. That was so fresh tasting and the flavors just danced on your taste buds. I would definitely order that again. The atmosphere if fun and high energy. Family friendly and dog friendly too - which is an added bonus for me.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Delicious food, friendly faces, and true Southern hospitality! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with kindness and respect. Lovely Emily welcomed and seated us with a smile that set the tone for the entire visit. Our server, Arlana, was attentive and made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. We started with savory, flavorful gumbo, followed by a huge seafood platter for two—crispy fries, golden shrimp, oysters, flounder, and hush puppies that were all absolutely delicious. The barbecue wings appetizer was finger-licking good! The atmosphere was relaxing and comfortable, and our drinks were refilled promptly without even having to ask. A special thank you to Emily again—her warmth and professionalism truly reflect the spirit of Shaggy’s. Even the employee working out back gave me a great impression before I entered. When I asked, “How’s the food here?” he smiled and answered, “Oh yes, ma’am,” with that genuine down-home Southern charm that told me everything I needed to know. As a recently retired high school teacher of 30+ years, that kind of respect and authenticity means a lot to me. If you’re reading this to decide whether to visit Shaggy’s, my answer is simple: yes, yes, and yes! 🤗🤗🤗

Beachfront with indoor and outdoor seating. Good food, good drinks, fantastic service. It's the tropical island atmosphere that you would hope to find at a seafood restaurant. Highly recommended. I was there mid-day and mid-week for lunch, which seems to be the perfect time to visit as there were other customers around but not too busy to truly enjoy the decor and surroundings. Highly recommend!

What a remarkable and truly surprising place we found on a drive after an aquarium visit one day in Biloxi. We seen shaggy's while going to the aquarium that day, and decided it sounded like fun and worth a stop...we weren't disappointed in the slightest! Amazing drinks, delicious food, and one outstanding view of the Biloxi Delta that looked straight out of a story. The staff was so nice and respectful. The food, to die for! The best po boy we had since New Orleans and the absolute most delicious Gulf red shrimp roll you could want! Proving why Biloxi and the Gulf used to be the sea food capitol of the world.
Christopher G — Google review
We'd heard about this place a few times, so I decided to stop in to get my own opinion. First, it turned out that you need a reservation. It's like you'd find in a high-end establishment. While you wait in the small hallway, you can buy drinks in advance—to make the wait less of a chore. All the tables have high chairs, as do the bar counters. You can check the prices on the website, but full meals start at $18 and up, and there's a wide selection of alcoholic cocktails. Throughout the entire experience, it felt like the waitresses were rushing us to get a table. This became especially clear when the plate I'd been using was snatched from under my nose. I wasn't ready to finish my meal yet. It's a complete failure of service. The wait for a table was 45 minutes, and we sat for 30 minutes. It's hardly a restaurant. I give it two stars for the taste of the grilled chicken and the opportunity to try gator meat. However, the batter on the gator meat was so spicy and fried that it was difficult to appreciate. The overall impression is that it's overhyped.

Shaggy’s Gulfport – A Flavorful First Visit with Coastal Charm We visited Shaggy’s Gulfport for the first time and were greeted with a brief 15-minute wait for a party of three—just enough time to soak in the laid-back, coastal ambiance. The Gulf vibe is strong here, with breezy decor and a welcoming atmosphere that immediately sets the tone for a relaxed dining experience. Service: From the moment we arrived to the moment we left full and happy, the staff was consistently friendly and attentive. Whether you're walking in for the first time or heading out after a great meal, the service makes you feel like a regular. Appetizer: We started with the Blackened Shrimp Spinach Dip. The flavor was spot-on—rich, creamy, and well-seasoned. The only downside was the chips, which could’ve been fresher to match the quality of the dip. Entrees: - Seafood Mac & Cheese: A standout dish. Generous portions, large shrimp, and a creamy, flavorful sauce that paired beautifully with the buttered toast. - Shrimp Trio: This plate was loaded with shrimp and didn’t disappoint. The coconut shrimp stole the show—crispy, perfectly cooked, and bursting with flavor. The bacon-wrapped shrimp added a nice jalapeño kick, while the butter garlic shrimp, though well-cooked, could use a bit more seasoning to elevate the dish. - Yellowfin Tuna Bowl: A lighter option that impressed. The tuna was fresh and high-quality, served over a small portion of jasmine rice with just the right stickiness. The sesame seeds and spicy mayo added depth, and the avocado and cucumber rounded it out nicely. The side salad was a refreshing touch. Final Thoughts: Shaggy’s offers much more than we had time to try, but we’ll definitely be back—if only to enjoy the views and sip a well-crafted adult cocktail. Whether you're craving seafood or just want to unwind by the water, this spot delivers on both flavor and atmosphere.

Salute Italian Restaurant is a charming, multi-roomed eatery in Gulfport with an industrial-chic vibe and stunning Gulf views. The restaurant is known for its impeccable service, tantalizing culinary offerings, and affordable lunch specials that draw in both regulars and newcomers. It offers a delightful dining experience on the Gulf Coast, featuring fresh local ingredients and breathtaking sunsets.
If you are eating here, ask for Alec. He’s absolutely amazing. His attention to detail is outstanding. I just ate here and overall, this place was solid. The food was really good, probably one of the best Italian spots I’ve been to aside from a place in New Orleans that I can’t recall right now. But what truly stood out was the customer service. They were absolutely amazing. Super courteous, very kind, and quick to attend to everyone, including myself. Everyone was smiling the whole time and the vibe was just positive. No rudeness at all like you sometimes get at other restaurants. They were also very accommodating. Honestly, if you have a bad experience here, you’re probably just a difficult person because this staff is easily some of the best I’ve encountered in town. Now for the food: Fried mozzarella: This was a winner. Imagine a hashbrown-sized, triangle-shaped mozzarella stick. Crispy outside, cheesy and gooey inside. Delicious. Spinach artichoke dip: Creamy, flavorful, and surprisingly good even for someone like me who’s not into balsamic flavors. Glad I tried it. Pepperoni pizza: Fresh mozzarella, solid crust, and great flavor overall. Definitely recommend it. Spaghetti and meatballs: Very flavorful sauce, noodles cooked just right. The meatballs were bigger than I expected, and I usually prefer them firmer, but these were really tender and not dry at all. That’s more of a personal preference because the quality was definitely there. As someone who eats a lot and tries new food often, I was happy to see large portion sizes. Perfect for people like me who can put away a serious amount of food. I would absolutely come back here. Great food, generous servings, and exceptional customer service. Definitely worth checking out.

First time ever to this plane. Its super cute and cozy. Have a lunch menu but its also very over whelming! Lots of options. Can't substitute items. Didn't like that options. Food was good. Egg plant is cut extremely thin. Maybe cut back on pasta and offer a little thicker cut of eggplant. Fried shrimp was good. French friesca bit over cooked. Fried flounder was so so. The coleslaw in a condiment cup was a but of a shock for a nice place. A bit tacky. Prices not bad. But should be options. If u don't like French fries. Maybe psy a 1 or 2 for a different side or something.

This was the first time we had ever been here in our several trips down south. It was recommended by the fishing charter that part of our group went out on and it did not disappoint! Every dish was delicious! 😘

Located in the heart of Gulfport, White Cap Restaurant is a charming seafood joint with a Southern accent and a relaxed nautical atmosphere. The restaurant offers classic seaside charm and attentive service that enhances the dining experience. Known for its home-style cooking and Southern hospitality, it serves up an array of delectable seafood dishes such as seafood gumbo, jumbo fried shrimp, grilled oysters, and po boys.
White Cap is one of my mother’s favorite restaurants and she took me there today for my birthday lunch. It was my first time and honestly I don’t know why! The exterior is nice, but the interior is very nice. The coastal and nautical decor is classy yet casual. You could dress up or dress down. It is a very clean restaurant with lovely views of the Gulf. The staff are very friendly and professional. Jeanviere was our server and we were 100% satisfied. Now for the most important part…THE FOOD. My mother thinks that their fried butterfly shrimp are the best and she orders them every time. Their hush puppies are big, homemade, and delicious. Anyone who visits this place should get an order of them! I ordered the blackened redfish with a seafood cream sauce and their special green beans as my side. I also had a cup of their crawfish and corn bisque. Everything was cooked to perfection. I will highly recommend this restaurant to all of my friends.

I believe that if someone asked me where I could get a nice Southern cooked Biloxi/Gulfport meal, I would send them here. They are right across from the Gulf and have outdoor tables as well as a great view through the windows inside. They shuck the oysters right here. I had red beans rice and catfish along with great tasting coleslaw. The catfish tasted extra fresh. Even the hush puppies that I don't normally enjoy were really good. I met the owner who was shucking the oysters for some customers. This place has been in his family since the early 1900s. Shrimp, crawfish, fish, red beans and rice, etc. I don't think you could find a better restaurant for Southern Mississippi cooking. And all of it at very reasonable prices. Sydney was our waitress and she did a fine job of taking care of us. Southern Hospitality and great food, MMM -mmm good.

This was my daughter's first time eating oysters and she absolutely loved the grilled half dozen she ate. I got the seafood platter and devoured with gusto each of the items overflowing on the plate. I just love the seasoning they use on their fried food and all the restaurant made dressings and sauces. Come for the seafood and atmosphere, you surely won't be disappointed.

Food was pretty good. I ordered the grilled Mahi Mahi. It was overcooked/dry. However, the raw oysters were great, along with the salad and parsley potatoes! Everyone else's food was perfect! Will go back, and I will try it again next time!!! Service was wonderful as well!!

We were excited to go here for our anniversary dinner. Long story short, we walked out and we don’t do that. The scallops were so bad we couldn’t even cut them with our fork. They tasted nasty with a really strong fishy flavor. No flavor to the potatoes or blue cheese salad dressing, and the vegetables came out some weird beige color to the cauliflower. This was for a $27 plate of food. I don’t think so. The beautiful ocean views were the only good thing about it.

We went to White Cap on a Monday evening around 6:40 pm for dinner. There was no wait (we had just missed the rush) so that was nice because we had two very hungry kids with us. We ordered a dozen oysters which came out pretty quickly. My husband also ordered a cup of the crawfish and corn bisque. Surprisingly this took longer than I expected to come out but it was very delicious and I would definitely order that again. My son ordered the catfish fillet with fries off of the kids menu and he really enjoyed those. My other son ordered the Shrimp Po’Boy and he LOVED it. I ordered the 1/2 shrimp, 1/2 oyster Po’Boy but unfortunately our server accidentally gave it to the wrong table and because it was 7:30 by the time our food came out, she offered to have them make it again but put it in a box to go or I could eat the Po’Boy the other table ordered (catfish). I do not like catfish and I did not want to take my meal to go to eat back at the hotel so I opted just not to have it. I was bummed because I was really looking forward to it. Other than that though - we had a good experience and our server was really nice and apologetic for the mishap.

Local place with good seafood. It was day one of cruising on the coast... At 12:30 pm on Monday, we had no trouble getting in. Good parking. Steps to enter front door - not bad. Good hostess, nice bar and view of beach. Nice atmosphere and restrooms. Food arrived promptly. Nice salad, good gumbo, very nice grilled shrimp! Oysters on half shell were average. Seafood platter was a decent size with fried fish as best item - large filet prepared well. Skip the stuffed crab - not up to par! Three of us splurged on grilled oysters, had a beer, and added extra 6 fried to platter. Two of us shared seafood platter. With tip, we spent just over $150.

JP was the star of our show last night. Such a warm and welcoming, beautiful soul. Excellent service and phenomenal food. Had the crab cakes, stuffed flounder, and mahi mahi. Then, JP introduced us to the bread pudding. MY GOODNESS! Even on an incredibly busy evening.

The Rack House Steak & Spirits is a warm and inviting restaurant that offers a delightful dining experience in Gulfport. Originally part of the historic Markham Hotel, this establishment has a rich past dating back to 1927. After being abandoned and damaged during Hurricane Katrina, it has been revitalized into a top-notch dining destination. Couples seeking an upscale evening out will find The Rack House perfect for indulging in hand-cut steaks, fresh seafood, and craft cocktails.
I had an amazing birthday party last night at The Rack House Steak, and I can confidently say it exceeded all expectations. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was impeccable, making the entire experience feel special. The highlight of the meal was definitely the lamb lollipop—perfectly cooked, tender, and bursting with flavor. I highly recommend it if you're a fan of lamb! Also, a big shout-out to their warm breads and butters. They arrived fresh out of the oven, and the butters were a delightful touch, complementing the bread perfectly, honey butter was my favorite. Our waiter was doing an excellent job. It’s one of those little details that truly elevates the dining experience. Overall, it was a memorable evening, and I’ll definitely be returning soon!

Every item our family ordered was divine. We shared our plates just so we wouldn't miss out. The strawberry field's cocktail was so balanced and tasted fresh, I've recommended it to everyone after we left the restaurant. What tied everything together was the service from Jessie — very attentive, that one. Congrats! You've put all other restaurants on MS Gulf Coast to shame with the entire experience.

Update 10/8- Went upstairs for the first time- the bartenders Toby and Megan were fantastic. The smokey old fashioned was made with Bulleit Bourbon and was nice and a little spicy. The steak tacos were delicious and perfect to share ( 3 in a serving). Had an Irish coffee topped with their fresh bourbon whipped cream for dessert. Excellent. Always great service and a nice, laid back atmosphere. We have been here numerous times and have never been disappointed. The service is always impeccable. The atmosphere is great. The food is amazing. This time we tried a couple of different dishes like the crab cake and the Royal Reds Pasta. Both fantastic. And no visit is complete without a Smokey Old Fashioned. We let the waiter serve us his special creation.

We LOVE this place! We eat here EVERYTIME we are down in Mississippi visiting! The food is INCREDIBLE! The atmosphere is GREAT! The staff is AMAZING! We can't say enough good about this establishment! The food is ALWAYS AMAZING! We've all had multiple dishes over the years and haven't had a complaint about one! If you are ever in the vicinity of a SHRIMP BASKET restaurant, definitely give it a go!

Lovely environment, friendly service! Fastest bar service I've every had. My husband had the shrimp basket and I had the Blackened Redfish w/ seafood cream sauce. I ordered a side of delicious green beans. We had corn fritters for our appetizer and keylime pie for dessert. Everything was delicious 😋 We will be back very affordable.

This review totally on the food itself, not the restaurant vibe. So, I'm traveling here for work and decided to venture out to try something different from my usual places while in Gulfport. I saw that this place had 4.6 stars, so I figured it was a good place to eat since it got high ratings. Well, that was a bad decision. The atmosphere of the restaurant was cool. The waitresses were extremely personable and friendly. The food, it was not what I'm used to when it comes to seafood. When I got my food and got into the car, I could smell that the grease used to fry the food was old. It had a terrible smell. When I opened the container, it was definitely old grease...🤦🏽‍♂️ Well, I decided to try the food for the taste. I ordered the Seafood Basket, which consisted of Shrimp, Gulf popcorn shrimp, oysters, flounder, and stuffed crab. All of this was fried, if you didn't know. Basically, there was no seasoning at all for none of the food. The flounder strips were horrible. No seasoning and bland. The popcorn shrimp was NOT cleaned. See photo for proof. The stuffed crab was nasty! It was like it wasn't cooked all the way. Very moist! The only things I could really stand to eat, with the addition of a lot of hot sauce and cocktail sauce, were the regular shrimp and oysters. Let's just say I was highly disappointed in the meal coming from the Gulf. This was my experience and you'll have to make your own decision on trying this restaurant. But, I hope this will give you some insight.

Went to Shrimp Basket for the first time while visiting. Ordered the Pick Two Combo (shrimp and flounder). Cooked perfectly with a nice batter. Plenty of food on the platter. Also, ordered Rice with red beans, which had a mild smoked flavor too. Service was outstanding. Food was hot. Definitely recommend.

We will definitely be returning!!! I called and spoke Brittany about celebrating my daughter's 10th birthday, she said "come on in." When we arrived Amber and Michelle had arranged an area for us. It was a small gathering, but we couldn't be more pleased with the service we received. The food was superb and the service was outstanding!!!

We were traveling through the state and wanted Cajun food / seafood. We choose this spot at random. It was less than an hour before closing time so the chairs were on the tables and the waitstaff seemed to be relaxing at the bar but they welcomed us and let us sit at a booth. The food was surprisingly good. We started with raw oysters that were fresh and flavorful. Each person in my group ordered a different meal and everyone was satisfied. I had the shrimp and grits which was outstanding!! The portions are large, I couldn't eat it all.
Rene B — Google review
Lindsey was our waitress, and she had good advice on what to order, and she kept my tea glass full. Top shelf service. The shrimp basket was 10 fried medium shrimp. Good shrimp, but it's hard to do much with fried shrimp. The cole slaw looked and tasted like a bagged slaw mix with some mayo added. Hushpuppies were yellow cornmeal, bland, not quite done in the middle. No onion. No flavor. Ice tea was good.

Just moved into the area. Tired, hungry, living on little sleep and basically camping until our belongings arrive. This restaurant was just what we needed. Friendly and helpful servers. The burnt ends were the best BBQ I've ever eaten. Potato salad that will make you do a jig and the fried Okra was seasoned to perfection.

The stars were aligned! Everything about this visit was spot on amazing! The wings as an appetizer on wing night was a phenomenal start to our meal. 2 meat combo (burnt ends and brisket, of course) with mac-n-vheese and fried okra for sides. Dipping the brisket and burnt ends in their sweet BBQ sauce made the flavor out of this world! My son had the catfish nuggets with fries and didn't even stop to take a breath! Hailey H, our server, they are sitting on a gold mine with her! Don't sleep on Hailey. She's the key to your perfect experience! She did EVERYTHING with enthusiasm, pride, professionalism, superb customer service skills, and genuine concern for our overall experience. 10 out of 10 stars for Hailey! We will be back and ask for her. If we have to wait for one of her tables to open, it's well worth it! Even my son, Junior, who is 9, commented on how good the food was and how he liked our server, Hailey!

Murky Waters BBQ in Gulfport hits all the right notes - smoky, savoury, and seriously satisfying. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a spacious dining area that never feels crowded. The outdoor patio is a great touch, perfect for relaxing with friends or family while enjoying some Southern sunshine. The food? Absolutely on point. While the traditional BBQ would be a must-try, the smash burger was on point - juicy, flavourful, and cooked just right. Pair it with their creamy potato salad, and you’ve got comfort food done right. Shoutout to Cade for the exceptional service - friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. It’s clear that the folks here take pride in what they do. Highly recommend if you’re in the Gulfport area and craving authentic Southern BBQ with great vibes and even better food.

Visiting from Atlanta and was craving pizza. Without a doubt this place did an amazing job! The friendly family atmosphere makes this place feel like home! The brick oven pizza gave it a great undercarriage crisp and the home made dough made my taste buds want to dance. Great pizza! This place is a must try it will no disappoint. Great staff great job and I'm looking forward to my next visit 10/10!

Great atmosphere and super chill. Not fancy but on the “cute little date” side of things. Definitely feels locally owned. The food was AMAZING, we got cheese and pepperoni pizzas and loved every bite… however, the service was lacking. Everyone was super friendly but seemed to be very sluggish. We saw our server and many others just talking near the oven having a great time… meanwhile multiple tables were waiting in checks, food, and drinks. I would go again, but only if we have over an hour to kill due to the food taking awhile.

Oh how the once great pizzeria has changed! Perhaps the chef needs to visit Aroma's in Diamondhead to see how stromboli is made. This establishment served me one that was 80% bread! See pics! Also the bartender/waitress had no idea what a muddler was! Hence, she became irritated and we ended up getting up and getting our own silverware!

This was great! We were there for a birthday celebration for a good friend and the party occupied the whole bar area. We were all fortunate because they brought out lots of appetizers for everyone in the party. We had buffalo wings, fried ravioli, fried mozzarella and they were all fantastic! Then they started bringing out pizzas. Pepperoni, cheese, meatlovers, chicken & artichoke. Again, they were all great! Friendly staff and considering there were 30+ people they did an excellent job keeping up with with the food and drinks. Great experience, great food, give em a try.

We stopped in on a Sunday afternoon for a late lunch. There were several tables occupied but it wasn't crowded. The young lady came over introduced herself and took our drink orders while we looked over the menu. We ordered and it wasn't too long before the appetizer, baked garlic with cheese and focaccia bread, came over. It smelled amazing but the garlic wasn't quite cooked enough. I guess I could have sent it back but it wasn't worth the trouble. We also split a "small" salad and it was plenty enough to share. The pizza was delicious. The crust was perfect, I would have liked a little more seasoning in the sauce, but that's a personal opinion, your tastes may differ. The brick oven at the back of the restaurant was fun to watch, there was a young man hand stretching dough and tossing it in the air. The only suggestion I have for the owner/manager is please do a deep clean in the dinning room. There's dust on the chains and lampshades and a few other places like air ducts over the tables. I understand staffing is always an issue, but it's worth the over time.

Every single time I have been there it has been fabulous. Try the meatballs for an appetizer. The pepperoni pizza is amazing. My granddaughter also has ordered chicken parm! Great food and a very clean restaurant.

I recently visited Tony's Brick Oven Pizzeria for a quick brunch. I went during the afternoon so the place was a little bit busy. I got a seat at the bar. The place smells so fresh with all the ingredients used in the pizza. I ordered the lunch special which was 2 slices of Pizza with a salad. I also ordered a couple of beers on the side. It took around 10 minutes for my pizza to arrive at the bar. The taste was really scrumptious. The brick oven is always a better option than a regular oven in my perspective. The salad has a scope of improvement. The leaves could be fresh used in salads. There were few leaves which were not up to the mark. However everything else was top notch. The service team was really awesome. Cheers 🥂

The Chimneys Restaurant in Gulfport offers a refined dining experience with classic coastal cuisine served in an elegant, white-tablecloth setting. The restaurant is known for its exceptional hospitality, stunning surroundings, delectable cuisine, and dedicated service. It's a popular choice for special occasions or a nice night out. Housed in a beautiful old house with a large porch for outdoor dining, the restaurant provides an upscale atmosphere.
The place was highly recommended by a colleague on our business trip. This quaint and charming restaurant is beautifully located right across the beach front coast of Gulfport, Mississippi. For the appetizer, I ordered seafood eggplants. It's baked, had crispy toppings, creamy eggplants, and seafood on the inside. It tastes so good! For my main course, I ordered the triple tail special, lump crabs, and a wild rice on the side. It has a generous slice amount of fish perfectly cooked paired with the delicious creamy lump crabs on the top. The restaurant table setup was nice with fresh, colorful flowers on a flower base. The restaurant is clean with large windows for one to appreciate the wooded outside, and the view of the ocean front can be visible at the restaurant side porch . The service was good, and the price of food is affordable. I highly recommend this place.

My family has frequented this restaurant many times over the years. It’s well worth the drive from Ocean Springs. I would venture to say The Chimney’s is the best restaurant on the MS Gulf Coast! The fried shrimp is one of my personal favorites, but you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu in my opinion.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Chimneys Restaurant – Gulfport, Mississippi As a live caricature artist, I’ve had the pleasure of working at The Chimneys twice now — most recently during Cruisin’ the Coast. Imagine arriving for a wedding and discovering one of the biggest festivals of the year happening all around you! Thankfully, despite the crowds, I had no trouble getting to the venue. From the moment I arrived (an hour early), I could tell I was in for a treat. The staff was in full motion — at least 20 to 30 people buzzing around, perfectly organized, discussing service flow and setup. The professionalism was impressive. The venue itself is stunning: right across from the water, with twinkling string lights, a wraparound porch, and a spacious lawn where the DJ had guests dancing under the stars. There’s ample room both indoors and out, so even if weather doesn’t cooperate, the celebration can go on beautifully. What truly stood out, though, was the service. The team checked on me multiple times throughout the night — making sure I had water and even bringing me a full plate of food. I often include a vendor-meal clause in my contract, but they went above and beyond and offered me the same menu as the guests. I chose the filet, and it was hands-down the best vendor plate I’ve ever had. Absolutely delicious — tender, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Between the gorgeous coastal setting, the white-glove service, and the incredible food, The Chimneys easily earns a perfect score from me. I’d happily return here for a special occasion — in fact, I’m already eyeing Valentine’s Day dinner! ✨ Service: 5/5 ✨ Atmosphere: 5/5 ✨ Food: 5/5 Highly recommend this gem for weddings, anniversaries, and any event where you want a truly memorable experience.

The Chimneys Restaurant was the perfect wedding reception venue! From start to finish, the team was incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to accommodate all of our requests and wishes. The setting is absolutely beautiful, the combination of indoor and outdoor spaces created the ideal backdrop for our celebration. Whether it was the charming interior or the stunning outdoor views, every part of the venue added to the magic of the day. The food was absolutely incredible, our guests are still raving about how delicious everything was. The staff was professional, attentive, and made sure the entire event flowed seamlessly. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate our daughter and son-in-laws big day. If you're looking for a venue that combines beauty, amazing service, and unforgettable food, The Chimneys is it!

The fish was amazing. The server was wonderful. There was a group of women in there that were so loud it sounded like a school cafeteria. We were not prepared for such a loud Atmosphere. We had to rush our meal down so we could get out of there. Won’t be back. I’ve been dining there for at least 30 years.

Water view. Excellent atmosphere. We choose to sit at a table outside on the front porch. They were out of Redfish and didn't tell us until we were ready to order it. The tuna steak was not on the lunch menu. Settled for the special of the day. That was disappointing to not be able to order what I wanted. Food was ok. Probably should have gone with the blackened Redfish even with substituted fish. Overall experience was just ok. Would give it another shot based on location, view & atmosphere

Mobile Regional Airport, located in Mobile, Alabama, is a significant air travel hub offering a growing number of domestic and international flights. The airport provides various amenities such as dining options, shopping opportunities, rental car facilities, and convenient transportation options. It offers easy access for drop-off and pick-up with short walks to ticketing and efficient baggage check-in. Parking is affordable and hassle-free for short-term stays. The airport maintains cleanliness and efficiency throughout the terminal area with well-lit spaces and ample seating.
Parking is easy long-term parking $8 a day and just a few steps further walk than short-term parking. Both lots are right next to each other. My flight takes off at 5:15 security is not open yet it's 3:30, I imagine they open an hour before. Very easy little airport I wish they had more direct flights for some of the destinations I go to. I hear expansion plans coming in 2025.

My favorite airport in the Mobile city. The staff were great, a good restaurant with 2 Hudson shops nearby, plenty of comfortable seating with charging stations available, security was as fast as lightning, car rental was easy, and the views and planes were great. We had no trouble getting in and out of the airport by plane and by person, and retrieving my bags from baggage claim was fast as well. Overall, MOB is the way to go for traveling!

If you drive a 4x4 truck, don’t leave it in the airport parking lot. Even though you pay for parking, they’re not responsible damage. Also, the police are overpaid security guards, apparently not patrolling nor watching security cameras. My truck was vandalized while away on business, some pathetic person thought it was good to drill a hole in my gas tank. Other than that, the airport staff and TSA are okay.

This airport is surprisingly better than most small regional airports. Everything is clean, people are friendly and helpful, and it's overall a good experience. We fly out of here once every year or two when we come to see family. One of the airport food shops did an amazing burger that really was great. We ate it at the gate where the benches have little tables next to them while our daughter played in the kids area. It was very clever how they set that up. It was a great experience over all. Looking forward to seeing this place again next time we come to see family.

The employees working that area were courteous and efficient. They answered all our questions. They gave us good directions to our gate. The TSA crew was very patient calm. The crew worked well as a team. The airport was clean and neat. Our gate was easy to find. The area was well lit and had plenty of seats.

First the good stuff - The airport is a bit dated but in a cool retro way. It's super clean, ticketing and security agents were nice, and there were no lines for security. It's REALLY quiet on a weekend at 7pm, don't plan to find hot food there. Now for the bad - it took us over 45 to return a car there with Avis. Parking in the lot was easy and there was no line when we got to the desk. I don't know if the employee was new or what but they had a really hard time finding our contract and couldn't figure out how to print a receipt. It was very frustrating. Beware if you are renting there with Avis but otherwise, it's a solid airport.

Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport, or GPT, is a small and friendly regional airport with a welcoming staff. Wonderful little airport! Great for vacationing or business. Easy to get through. I think there are 10 gates or so in the airport. They do have a decent number of food options for a small airport. The rental car center is extremely convenient.

The airport is clean, but I haven't had any good interactions with the staff because I got stranded at the airport (as a military personnel with 4 others), but no one even came to help us. So, we slept on the floor at the airport. And couldn't go back in because we weren't traveling out of the place. Instead, we came for training 😔

Honestly, the best small airport I’ve ever been to TSA it’s never understaffed We just got breeze. I flew them one time to Vegas round-trip for $200 amazing. Since it’s such a smaller airport normally when you’re leaving, the plane is not fully booked! On my last trip on the way to Vegas, I stopped to buy the little restaurant upstairs and have breakfast with a mimosa. They made that thing strongggg The little shop is improving better books and they still have Pedialyte. Amen. Maybe one day we’ll have postcards

One of the nicest and easiest airports to take off from. Conveniently located with a great staff and everyone is super nice and friendly as well. Southern hospitality at its finest.

Clean and efficient for a smaller airport. It’s great flying out of. Everyone I’ve ever encountered here has been very nice, EXCEPT for the short-haired lady who works for American Airlines. Or they/them. The one with the slim shady haircut. They are always extremely rude. They will rush you, cut you off in the middle of talking, etc. when you are just trying to drop a bag off. We are all here to move to our next destination. We all have problems, but this person seems to get a power trip from working as the bag person for the airline.

Arrived at the airport when my flight was already boarding (overslept with a 2mo old). This is when a small airport is absolutely amazing, there was no line at baggage, and even though it was completely my fault, these ladies rushed myself, my 2month old and my four year old, through to TSA and we were able to board just in time.

Nice “International “ regional airport. Friendly and efficient TSA security. Nice mix of amenities including charging stations. Probably only gripe is the airport is a ways off I 10, so plan for a slow drive due to many stoplights and low speed limits.

I fly out of this airport at least a couple of times a month for business. The airport is very clean, friendly staff, and very quick TSA lines. A great airport. My only criticism is the inadequate Wifi provided. One week it will work, one week it will not work. Other than poor Wifi, I really enjoy flying in and out of this airport.
