Fiskekompaniet

Seafood restaurant
Fiskekompaniet is a renowned restaurant in Tromso that offers an exceptional culinary experience with its fresh, sea-inspired dishes and stunning harbor views. Situated at the heart of Tromso's harbor, it provides a perfect setting to savor delectable meals while enjoying the maritime beauty. The restaurant is celebrated for its focus on fish and seafood from the local area and beyond, presenting a modern twist on classic flavors.
An unforgettable dining experience in Tromsø. If you're ever in Tromsø and appreciate exceptional seafood, Fiskekompaniet is a must-visit. From start to finish, our evening was a true pleasure — a celebration of local ingredients and Nordic flavours done with both creativity and care. We chose the four-course menu, and every dish was beautifully presented and full of depth. The flavours didn’t just taste good — they unfolded gradually, dancing across the palate in the most unexpected and delightful ways. It was both refined and generous — in fact, we found ourselves struggling to finish the final course simply because there was so much food! The service was seamless — warm, attentive, and knowledgeable without ever feeling intrusive. It’s clear the staff care deeply about both the food and the experience. The setting is equally impressive: right by the water, with a calm and elegant atmosphere that perfectly complements the meal. What stood out most was how well the restaurant showcased fresh, local produce from the region. It felt like more than just a meal — it was a taste of Tromsø itself. You won’t leave hungry, but more importantly, you’ll leave with lasting memories of exceptional food, welcoming service, and a true sense of place.

4 course menu: Food was good. Waiter didn’t take our coats, they brought cold bread only after the 2nd course. Had to wait 50 min for the 3rd one. Not once we were asked how things were, food was taken without a word. Service is below your average McDonalds. There is a restaurant part and a sort of in between with very little atmosphere.
Jeroen B — Google review
With good location and decent decoration, this restaurant is quite good for gathering and a formal dinner. People are helpful and nice. We ordered arctic shrimp which is superb and king crab which is not as good as expected. We also had the catch of day, you can tell that the fish was really fresh but the cooking was just normal.
Bruce Z — Google review
wow... i am at lost for words... it was just PERFECT as in i can assure you this was one of the best restaurants that i have ever dined in EUROPE! idk where to start honestly but first i have to just say that the guy serving us was just so amazing. he was very friendly, fun, and informative. he was explaining a lot of things which really gives a lot of meaning to the dishes and i don't know if this makes sense but he makes it feel like the food really comes to life... idk man the guy serving us was literally also serving us a one of a kind experience it was hard to describe... just ask for the guy from southern sweden (i'm so sorry i did not ask for his name) the food oh my god. i can't stop thinking about it. i had the catch of the day which was halibut with some kind of beurre blanc and caviar with some potato puree. life changing, i really wanted to moan with every bite. we got the shrimp to share and it was like no shrimp i've ever eaten in my life. the shrimp came from skmewhere deep and dark in the fjords of tromsø so they were served very fresh and for the love of god i swear they were sooooo sweet. oh and the soup i swear on my mother's neck that it was sooo delicious. the symphony of seafood flavors in my mouth was immaculate. best soup i have ever had here in europe.
Rachma A — Google review
The dryaged halibut was absolutely outstanding. Incredibly flavorful and expertly prepared. It completely blew me away and is an absolute must try! On the other hand, the shellfish soup was far too salty for my taste, which was disappointing. Because of that, I’m giving one star less.
Vallariaー — Google review
We came here for dinner and ordered the catch of the day and the Skalldyrsplatå (seafood platter). Both were excellent. The seafood platter had a bit of everything and even came with a delicious bowl of mussels in a creamy sauce at the end. It's a huge portion for one person, but everything was incredibly good and fresh. The catch of the day was also fantastic—easily the best fish we've had in Tromsø. We highly recommend this place!
Pablo C — Google review
We had the shellfish plateau and the 6-course tasting menu — both were excellent. Everything was super fresh, beautifully presented, and full of delicate flavors.
Aysın A — Google review
An evening reserved to celebrate a birthday. I would like to thank the entire team present on Friday evening, October 17, who were able to offer good advice from cocktails to dishes. Warm and very friendly. In addition, the cuisine was truly excellent with incredible products. We will happily return on our next trip.

Bardus Bistro

Traditional Norwegian restaurant
Bardus Bistro in Tromso offers a unique fusion of Norwegian and Mediterranean cuisine, combining local Nordic staples with a twist of culinary flair. The bistro focuses on using fresh, local ingredients to create innovative and ever-changing menus that showcase regional specialties like elk, reindeer, king crab, fresh fish, and whale. With a relaxed atmosphere and homemade meals, Bardus Bistro provides a captivating Norwegian take on the traditional bistro concept.
Great find in Tromso! My Initial thoughtsof this place was that it didn't have a very varied menu. But that didn't matter. I had the duck starter with demi glaze, and the sauce was so go, and went perfectly with the duck and salad, thoroughly enjoyed every bit of it. Had the cod for mains and again everything on the plate just went so well, the corn espuma sauce was delicious with the fish...not sure the salsa really belonges there, but it didn't take anything away from the dish, so will just accept it there. Also the cod on its own was also tasty...unlike fish in other places that just taste bland without the other bits. The reindeer dish my partner had was also good. The chocolate fondant was also very nice. I had the aperol spritz cocktail which in most places is watered down with tonic, but not here, was just the aperol and sparkling wine and was well worthit. All in all was a really good experience and would recommend them. They also have a bar, which we didn't try, but could be nice to go for an after dinner drink. Only downside is, the tables were quite small! But that contributes to a cosy vibe...Still slightly bigger tables would be appreciated.
Ekleba O — Google review
The lady boss is super nice! They switch up the menu every two months, so don’t go by the food pics on Google Maps when you order – they won’t match. Kinda bummer the fish soup doesn’t come with bread, though. Highly recommend the local cake! It’s really unique – there’s this foam made with some special plant and berries, plus a base that’s like cookie crumbs. Super distinct, totally worth a try.
Xinyao H — Google review
Run, don’t walk… one of my best meals in Norway! He had the meat of the day (short ribs), I had the lamb chops - wow - both were absolutely amazing! Very tasty and tender - so delicious!! I would highly recommend! Also had the veal tartare - delicious!!!

The food was absolutely delicious! We tried the reindeer steak and the whole fish — both were perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The staff were extremely warm and friendly, making us feel truly welcome and comfortable throughout our visit. A wonderful dining experience — highly recommended! 🍽️✨

Cosy setting, it is like the fusion of a Nordic tavern with a library. Very kind personnel that speaks easily English. Tried the salmon, clearly very fresh. Not expensive at all.

Absolutely amazing! Excellent food, friendly staff and cosy atmosphere. I tried the “Pan fried redfish” and it was delightful. The dessert was also very delicious. Highly recommend!

Absolutely fantastic night. I don’t think this has been impacted by that we have been camping and cycling and eating Di-hy for the last 2 weeks. Great atmosphere, friendly staff.. I had the stock fish and my wife had the red fish. Both were stunning!!

LOVED this place - very warm, convivial, great staff and the food was fantastic. I came here for late lunch on a Saturday and it was just perfect in every way - they sat me by a window and I could watch it snowing outside while I devoured the delicious fish soup. I also had the fish special and the lemon curd dessert. Highly recommend. Not fussy but so cool.

Mathallen Tromsø

Mentioned on

Restaurant
Mathallen Tromsø, located in the heart of the town, is a culinary gem overseen by acclaimed chef Gunnar Jensen. The restaurant boasts an industrial ambiance with black interiors and exposed lighting, complemented by wooden tables. It offers a menu that celebrates northern Norwegian ingredients like local cheeses, herring, and meats served with a unique twist and exquisite presentation. The extensive wine selection adds to the dining experience.
I’ve tried several fine dining restaurants in Tromsø, but Mathallen stands out as the best in terms of taste and quality. Every dish was expertly crafted, using fresh, local ingredients that brought out incredible flavors. The attention to detail in both presentation and service made the experience even more enjoyable. For anyone looking for an outstanding culinary experience in Tromsø, Mathallen is the place to go. I’ll definitely be returning.

Nice restaurant in the Tromsø city center. We had a reservation at 17 for dinner. We were seated quickly and the staff was very nice and quick. Our waitress was very helpful and kind, I hope they pay her well! We had wine, catch of the day fish (cod) and the reindeer steak. I had dessert as well. The kitchen is open and you can see them cooking your meal. The meal was very good and fresh. On the other hand, the toilets could use some love. I can recommend this restaurant if you want a fresh meal in Tromsø and drink some wine. They have a really large selection of wine.
Michaela P — Google review
An unforgettable experience in Tromsø. The service was both attentive and discreet, and each dish showed great precision—flavors were refined, textures balanced, and beautifully presented. The open kitchen allows one to witness the chefs’ remarkable craftsmanship, making this a true destination for those who value culinary excellence and gracious hospitality.

The cozy dim lit ambience makes it a great place for dates as we were too on a date there. The food was great especially starters were fabulous The mains were well cooked The deserts were good as well A very nice fine dining experience with good menu and is very well situated in city center Had a lovely experience.

Amazing meal, reindeer tartare with dill and sour cream, lamb sirloin with white beans ands blueberry sorbet to finish it off……

Popular place in Tromso. We reserve a table. We saw many groups turned away without reservation. The staff were friendly and gave good recommendation. The food were excellent. The salmon starter was one of the best we ate before. While i am not a fan of rice pudding, this dessert was so well executed i finished it.
Li K — Google review
Had to come back for a second time after we had quite a pleasant experience at lunch here and really wanted to try out the dinner menu. We ended up having the 3 hours menu which was in my opinion, the best way to do it since you are able to try out a little bit of everything they have to offer, the team was well informed especially Jonathan who was very kind and professional at every detail. The price is high but is to be expected at the level of dining they are offering, must try when you’re in tromso if you’re into a non-traditional and a bit more innovative spin on Norwegian produces!!!!

This restaurant has an incredible selection of craft beers which is great for those who like to taste a variety of different beers. The staff are professional and friendly, and the food is absolutely delicious. The whale dish and the bacalao are two must-try dishes, as they both taste amazing.
Had the fish soup, reindeer burger and stock fish stew. The food was great and the service was great. The burger was juicy and yummy. We wanted to order drinks, the waitress was so helpful, she introduced the local drinks and gave great recommendations. She even gave us tasting samples so we can choose a drink we would enjoy. Highly recommend!!!

Cool place next to the waterline. Fair prices and good beer 😉 locally from Tromsö. That‘s the best. You definitely get to dive into local lifestyle and enjoy the gold vibes of Norway. Plus a lot of tourist 😆 but never mind. You‘ll enjoy it 🫶
Iris H — Google review
Lovely food and experience. This place was near our hotel.and we just walked in for dinner, the gratinated shrimp is one of the bests shrimp starters I've ever had. The garlic juices were perfect for soaking in some bread. The salmon main was OK tasted like salmon 🙂, all the trimmings that came with it though made it pleasing to the eye and all went well together, was a nice decent portion too. The pollock dish was ok too. Very fishy....according to my partner 🐟. But reasonably tasty and the olives in it gave it a nice flavour. The service was lovely, you have an area to hang your coat at the entrance....we did wonder what happens if someone took your coat (by accident or not)...this is not weather to go out without a coat...🤔. I tried the first cocktail on the menu....something skaal, unfortunately I forgot the name. It was a very small amount...but it was nice and strong...really could've done with a but more in the glass. All in all a lively experience in Tromso and I would recommend them.
Ekleba O — Google review
We came here wanting to try out some Norwegian dishes — we really enjoyed them! My favorite was the lamb, which was well cooked and had great flavor. We also got a fish stew, reindeer burger, and whale, which were good as well. All the portions were large. Note this is a bit of a mix between a bar and a restaurant, so the menu is somewhat limited. You can grab an open table and order at the counter.
Kevin S — Google review
Food was flavourful although bun for the burger and bread with the soup were both stale. Think the staff forgot our order as it took the food 45 minutes to arrive. Good selection of beers.
Gareth S — Google review
I came here for dinner right after the whale tour, as the restaurant is conveniently located just across from the harbor. It’s great that you can pop in without a reservation, and ordering at the bar is really easy. The prices are very reasonable, and I had the fish soup, which turned out to be one of the best meals I had in Tromsø. The staff were also very friendly, and the fireplace added a cozy, rustic touch to the atmosphere. Definitely a place I’d come back to 😁
Claudia B — Google review
We had an unforgettable dining experience at Skarven Kro in Tromsø. The restaurant's prime location allowed us to enjoy the enchanting snowfall through the windows, adding a magical touch to our evening. We started with the Garlic Gratinated Shrimps from Lyngen and the Loaded Potato Skins — both were super tasty. For the mains, we had the Grilled Sirloin of Reindeer, the Minke Whale, the Surf and Turf, the Clipfish of Pollock, and the Norwegian Salmon (Laks). Everything was delicious, and we loved that there were so many traditional Norwegian dishes on the menu — exactly what we were hoping to try. The portions were great, and the quality and presentation really stood out. We'd definitely come back!
Nuria E — Google review
Nice little place to try Norwegian food. Their fish soup was amazing(went back the second day for this)the portions were great. The whale stew was good too..both came with a healthy serving of bread and butter. Tried gløgg here for the first time and I absolutely loved it! If I am ever back in Tromsø, I will definitely be visiting this place again!

Restaurant
Nestled in the lively Arctic city of Tromso, Art Café Bistro is a charming culinary spot renowned for its cozy ambiance and unique display of local artworks. Situated near major attractions like the Arctic Cathedral and the Polar Museum, it's an ideal place for both tourists and locals to unwind after a day of exploration. This café doubles as an art lover's paradise, offering a whimsical atmosphere with quirky paintings adorning the walls.
What a wonderfully delicious restaurant. Didn't want to order anything too heavy (that night), so decided on soup & salad, but both were some of the best I've ever tasted! King crab bisque, ham/blue cheese & walnut salad, and tiramisu - you won't be disappointed!
Allan R — Google review
Everything was amazing here. I often give 5 stars but this lunch deserves 6. Great food, wine, atmosphere and friendly service. Book ahead if you're coming off a cruise. It's right beside the pier.
Alan M — Google review
Really cute quiet place with a small thoughtful menu. We tried the Benedict and the tomato soup, along with the cheesecake. The homemade bread is also excellent. Service is really friendly and we enjoyed the experience
CathDonnelly — Google review
I came here with a friend and we both had the tomato soup and it was AMAZING. This little restaurant is intimate and cozy, with very kind staff. It would be a good idea to get a reservation if you’re planning to go around 5/6pm.
Emily M — Google review
The food was okay but expensive. My main concern was that the staff were very cold and the cafe was empty, as if they place was closed. They also turned away a small group of 3 Indian people twice, for absolutely no reason. The old bald man at the bar said "do you have a reservation? Then no." And just walked away from them. I thought it was really rude and it felt blatantly racist because they had no problem with white couples walking in without reservations, or another white man who came at the same time as them. I posted about this on the tromso travel group and the owners wife (blonde woman) liked a comment saying "Indian tourists are the worst." This was really shocking and upsetting to see that the racist motives are confirmed. We felt really bad for the Indian people because they seemed really excited to actually eat there, but the food was basic anyway. Please support other local businesses - this one seems to have a reputation for being cold, racist, and turning customers away for no reason. The empty atmosphere inside wasn't intimate, it was awkward, like you're sitting in a closed down cafe and being served by a waitress in her tracksuit. Not very high end.
Sam — Google review
Art Café Bistro has a warm and welcoming atmosphere, featuring beautiful paintings of the aurora and drawings of Nordic animals. The owner’s personal touch is evident in the beautifully painted tables, showcasing her attention to detail and perfectionism. The food was outstanding. The fish soup was flavorful with incredibly fresh fish, while the salad was crisp and delicious, with a dressing from 25-year-aged Italian Modena balsamic vinegar. Overall, I was thoroughly impressed by the quality of the food at Art Café!
Evelyn N — Google review
We came here for dinner, but you need to book a day in advance since it’s always fully booked. So, it’s definitely best to reserve ahead! The restaurant is cozy and small, everything was spotless, and the staff were incredibly friendly and kind. The food was delicious, and you could really taste that everything was homemade. I also tried the chocolate cake and it was amazing, but I forgot to take a picture! Highly recommended! 😁

Børsen Spiseri

$$$$expensive
Restaurant
Børsen Spiseri is a top dining spot in Svolvaer, Lofoten, offering delicious food and drinks. This cozy restaurant serves a variety of local specialties and has a diverse menu. The village of Svolvaer may be small, but it boasts numerous restaurants with unique offerings. Børsen Spiseri stands out as one of the best places to enjoy a perfect meal while exploring the natural beauty and hiking opportunities in the area.
The atmosphere is amazing in this historic building. Very cozy and intimate. Service was friendly and efficient. Tried their cod dish + lamb + fish soup. Everything was delicious. But the best part of the meal was the rhubarb and strawberry cheesecake. It was so light, fresh, and bursting with flavor. Have never had a cheesecake like this before and it was delicious!
Melanie Y — Google review
This restaurant got very nice interior, they have both indoor and outdoor seating. The appetizer is nice, the fish is fresh with the foam is rather tasty, and the plating is very nice too! The fish dish is nice, and the sauce tastes really good like lobster sauce , and the potatoes are so creamy and sweet. The panna cotta is delicious ! It is very soft, creamy and smooth, and the vanilla flavor is rich and natural, most importantly it is not overly sweet, very tasty! Love it! The staff Albina is very nice and friendly, I love her lovely introductions and smiles, thank you. I had a good time.
Sberry — Google review
The ambiance here is truly unique—charming, intimate, and steeped in history. You can feel it in the walls. The strong scent of dried cod hits you as you enter, which I actually found intriguing and fitting for the experience. The space felt chic yet casual and cozy, like a blend of cottage warmth and old-school steakhouse charm. The menu is short and straightforward, but full of tempting choices that made it hard to decide. We eventually settled on the Taste of Lofoten platter, fish soup, lamb rack, and the Stockfish Royal—which we came especially to try. It exceeded all expectations. The combination of butter egg, cod, and crispy cured ham was both unexpected and incredibly flavorful. The triple protein made it a filling dish, but every bite was a burst of rich, layered taste. We also had the pleasure of chatting with the lovely Mariam (apologies if I’m misspelling her name), who kindly shared the history behind the stockfish and gave us some fascinating facts about the Lofoten region. Overall, we had a very special and memorable experience. If you’re nearby, I highly recommend dining here. It felt cozy and welcoming. The service is excellent and the food was tasty.
Annie V — Google review
Must goto place for the building and history since 1800s. Longer a little longer and enjoy the indoor decoration. Beautiful wooden beams and second floor dining with a central staircase leading up. Service was marvellous and food was great. The best fish is here and not anywhere else. The cured whale and salmon was one of its kind and the monk fish, halibut and stock fish was all cooked to perfection. Seasonal rhubarb was a delightful dessert and the bill that came was a little more than the usual meals in Lofoten but totally worth it. Explore the place outside as you can see a sauna and platform to jump into the waters. Sunset here is nice. If you are coming from the city area take about 20 min walk up the long bridge. Go explore the hotel next door where it also housed the original settlement of a grocery store.
Jen C — Google review
Cosy place with great atmosphere. Seats available on two levels. Dark wood timber. Limited food selection. Small serving size. Large selection of bottled wine.
Philip L — Google review
Based on the good google reviews, we booked a table. The expectations were quite high and we expected a fine dining experience. Instead, we got maybe even a below average experience, especially considering the restaurant's price level. The food was mostly tasteless and you had to add salt to each portion yourself. The best part of the meal was the dessert. Of course, the food looks great, but that alone is not enough for the pricing of the portions. I don't think we will visit again. It's a pity because the atmosphere in the restaurant is wonderful.
J S — Google review
What a find! Go over that bridge and enjoy a lovely dinner with great food & wine. We thoroughly enjoyed it and would say it was the best dinner in Svolvaer!

Pizza restaurant
Restaurant
CASA INFERNO is a lively pizzeria located just off Tromsos two busiest streets, drawing in both locals and tourists. Despite the bustling atmosphere, the restaurant offers fantastic service and delicious pizza served shortly after ordering. The theme of the restaurant is intriguing with its hellish decor, but it doesn't overshadow the fine flavors of their piping hot pizza pies that are dripping with cheese and flavor.
The pizza came out very quickly, even though the place was full (we received them all at once in about 10-15 minutes). The lady who served us was very kind, checked in on us multiple times to see if everything was to our liking, and was smiling and friendly throughout. It’s definitely worth making a reservation in advance, as it’s quite busy, and you might not get a table if you don’t book ahead on the website. For dessert, I highly recommend the fonduta di cioccolato—it’s divine and not too heavy. FYI they will charge you for the water and the nuts, but you can ask for a refill, so feel free to do so.

Great pizza at Casa Inferno! We Had the margharita pizza and the Parma ham pizza. Several aflame inferno pizzas went by also. All were excellent. The olives and almonds were appreciated and good. A great and fun vibe!! Recommended!

I recommend a reservation. We went on a Sunday around 700p. Very busy. We were able to put our name in for a 845p reservation. They close at 1000p. Everyone working was really pleasant. The person serving us was informative, pleasantly funny and taught us some basic italian pronunciation. We got the bruschetta and 4 pizzas to try/share. Everyone enjoyed their food. We had a bit of left overs. The ambiance is nice. The presentation was great. This was a pleasant find during our short stay in tromso. We saw a few of the inferno pizzas come out...it was cool to see. Highly recommend

Very authentic Italian pizza and a very cozy, well-decorated restaurant. I’ve been both times I’ve visited Tromsø and it is so worth it.
Emily M — Google review
We visited this Italian pizzeria and the food was good, but not outstanding. The atmosphere was very nice, but the restaurant is quite small for the number of guests. Since there were always people waiting for a table, several customers were standing in the doorway, and it wasn’t really clear where they should wait, which let some cold air into the restaurant. The pizzas were tasty and the staff very friendly. You should definitely make a reservation in advance, otherwise you’ll probably have to wait quite a while.
Michael H — Google review
I love this place. Been here for a while now and was really missing some classic style pizza. The day I first went to Cafe inferno my life changed. It wasn't just "good for norway" no, this is amazing pizza all together. I have been to Italy and some places there just don't have the same passion in their food as they do at Cafe inferno. It was truly a fantastic experience, and maybe I was jonesing for some pie

Arrived late on (an hour before closing) and were lucky enough to get a table straight away. Pizza’s were excellent and also the option of a gluten free base which was needed for us. About average price but very good quality. Would go again.

Nice little restaurant by the water. I tried whale for the first time which was a great experience and it was basically a fishy steak which I enjoyed! Crème brûlée for dessert is just standard!
Liam D — Google review
We came it at around 20:00 and was greeted by a not friendly waitress, she told us there was no table left and we would have to wait 1 hour. We came back about 10 minutes later into another entrance and were given a table immediately since there were alot empty tables. We ordered Fish and chips, whales steak and Reindeer soup. Food came 30 minutes later. The fish and chips was fried so hard and oily, whale steak was more than well done although we ordered medium. Only the soup was fine. I feel like they don't care because they think we are tourists and wont come back. I would not recommend this place. I love fish and chips and this was not easy to chew and swallow. I cant taste the freshness of the fish, the batter was so hard :((
Tram T — Google review
The reindeer burger was tasty and well-prepared. We also tried the whale steak — not really our preferred flavor, but it was interesting to experience and it was decent. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the restaurant itself has a warm atmosphere. On top of that, the view over the harbor is absolutely beautiful and makes the visit even more enjoyable.

I was in Tromsø with my mother this week for three days, and we went there for lunch on two of those days. Everything was spectacular — the food, the service, and the atmosphere. Beautiful views of the harbor. We recommend trying the creamy prawns, the salmon, and the reindeer stew. We especially fell in love with the fish soup with salmon and cod. And they have spanish beer!!! ( estrella galicia) Highly recommended!

Nice atmosphere, came in during lunch, friendly service staff. Food was good; tried whale meat steak, arctic fish n chips, reindeer stew and crab sandwich! Dun rly recommend the fish n chips (too much breading)
Xinyan L — Google review
A bit pricey for the portions; we ordered $65 king crab (which is supposed to be a local and common food) expecting to get at the very least one entire crab at that price tag...you be the judge (see pic). Reindeer burger was tasty but also quite small, we had to make a pit stop at the 7/11 afterwards; don't think we'll be going back, there are plenty of better price/quality/portion ratio restaurants in town.

We tried Cod fish and Salmon and both were delicious, fresh ingredients and good service

Restaurant Bjørk

$$$$affordable
Restaurant
Restaurant Bjørk, located in Glasshuset, offers a delightful Italian dining experience with homemade pasta and stone oven-baked pizzas. The menu also features unique dishes like pumpkin schnitzel and grilled reindeer cooked on a charcoal grill. When the weather is pleasant, guests can enjoy their meals in the outdoor dining area with views of Kulturkvartalet and the harbor. The restaurant's welcoming ambiance and professional service make it a favorite dining spot in Bodo.
Pizza crust is soft and the pizza had a lot of cheese, ham and mushroom. Not very salty and is quite good. Omelette was also tasty and i liked it very much. Lastly, the pasta was the tastiest dish. The cream cheese made the pasta taste really good ans the bacon and chicken added to the good taste.

I have travelled the world and eaten at many high quality restaurants. The grilled stock fish meal is the best meal I’ve had in my entire life. I can’t recommend this place enough. I will be going back each day I am in Bodø to experience this culinary sensation. If you ever meet a kid named Bjørk in Midwest America that is my child and they were named after this meal I’ve just had.

The food was delicious. We had the wolf/cat fish and the chef recommendation menu. The chef menu had lots of varied and tasty courses. It would have been too much food for me but the other two with me loved it! Friendly service and calm atmosphere.

Where to begin - the food was cooked to perfection with filling portion sizes and packed with flavour, especially for the pizza and dessert. The wine choices were also excellent, each one complementing the meal. The atmosphere was perfect, especially for a one year anniversary celebration and the service from the staff was excellent - attentive, friendly and welcoming!

We came here with my parents during a trip in Norway. We were a bit in a hurry but the waitress was very comprehensive ! We wait no more than 15min and the food was excellent ! Can only recommend this place in Bodø ! ☺️

The wolffish here was absolutely divine. Don’t let the location of this arctic city fool you, this food is legit. And that’s coming from a Chicagoan who’s eaten at some of best restaurants in Chicago

3 of us Stopped in here when we had a stop over on the Hurtugruten. We had lunch and we had the soup of the day along with fish and chips.. yes how "Italian" of us. However that's what I'm like, it's their Norwegian take on it and it works. Soup of the day was good, could have done with more fish in the soup but the taste was great. Their focaccia needs more work, probs a little more salt and seasoning. Fish and chips was good. The fish was their local cod but was dried out which it what they call "Tursk" strange to me that you would deep fry already dried fish but I sorta worked and tasted good. Not a bad spot for lunch.

I was planning to go somewhere else, but that wasn't open yet. I went here instead. The service is really good, quite some table's occupied, but I didn't have to wait long at all ,for my Pizza Bjork. It is one of the best pizza's I ever ate. It's very tasty and the Pesto and the Salami ,work really well together.

Fiskekrogen

Seafood restaurant
Restaurant
Fiskekrogen Henningsvær is a fantastic restaurant located in the Lofoten Islands, specifically in Henningsvaer. Visitors rave about the amazing food and service, making it a must-visit spot in the area. The restaurant offers a welcoming atmosphere with attentive staff who provide excellent hospitality.
Really recommend the fish soup , The best fish soup I‘ve ever tried in Lofoten. Mussels are good too and the cod tongue is unforgettable. Clean restaurant and having the nice view of fishing village to watch during waiting for food. Small parking in front of the restaurant (for 2-3 cars).

Was recommended here but left disappointed. I tried the fish and chips and fish soup here. The fish and chips were a bit heavy on the batter and the texture inside wasn’t quite to my taste, felt abit too undercooked though the soup was decent. Overall, I found the experience a little overrated based on the positive reviews.

Great experience! Came here for the 1st time and so glad I did! The server was very friendly and helpful and the service was absolutely amazing! I would highly recommend. We started with shiitake mushroom and I ordered the fish and chips. The food arrived very hot and was absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend stopping in if you’re in the area. It’s located next to the river so you have a beautiful view as well.

We had big mussels, salmon tartar, pasta, and beef cheek. The mussels came in a very generous portion, more than enough for two. Everything was delicious and we truly enjoyed it.

One of the best fish soups we’ve ever had—creamy, flavorful, and beautifully balanced, with a taste reminiscent of bagna cauda. The lobster was already opened (very convenient!), though it didn’t include the tail—but it was still delicious. We went on a busy Friday night and were initially a bit disappointed not to get a window table (we were just two), but after a while, the friendly server offered to move us to one without us even asking. Great food, great service—we’d definitely come back.

Delicious food, friendly service! We had the fish soup (small portion, but very generous for a starter), fish & chips, and the skrei.

Amazing fish soup and great service from the staff. Portions were large and food was served promptly. Parking is limited though.

Airport
Oslo Airport, the main domestic and international airport serving Norway's capital city, offers a seamless travel experience. The well-designed layout and clear signage make navigation easy, while helpful staff members ensure a hassle-free journey. The airport boasts clean facilities and friendly, efficient service. Renovations are underway to enhance the dining options beyond the gates for domestic transfers. Travelers appreciate the organized and clean stores as well as functional currency exchange machines.
Beautifully designed and super efficient. The Oslo region should definitely be proud of this airport. This was my first visit to the country and at no point did I have any questions about navigating security and customs—it was perfectly clear and well organized. This is a fine example of what an airport should be.

Very happy with my experience at Oslo Airport! It’s modern, well-organized, and easy to navigate. The highlight for me was the huge duty-free store – great variety and good prices compared to the city. Perfect for last-minute shopping!”
Mehmoona H — Google review
Traveling to/from this airport is fairly easy. With easy access to the train to get to the main Oslo central station every 10 minutes (except Saturday). It can be a bit of a walk around the terminal to get from one point to another. Plenty of food options, and also tax free stores. Border control is on gates F. No human currency exchanges. Only off of ATMs throughout the airport.

😆 The security process is generally efficient and well-regarded. 👍 There are multiple easy options for getting to and from the airport. The Airport Express train (Flytoget) offers a fast, direct trip to Oslo Central Station in just 19 minutes, and regional trains and buses are also available. 😥 Stink in the toilets, litter under chairs and benches, and grimy, overcrowded garbage cans. A few choices of restaurants and cafes suit to my taste.

Oslo Airport is modern, spacious, and easy to navigate. Check-in and security were efficient, and there are plenty of shops, cafés, and lounges to pass the time. Public transport connections to the city are convenient with trains and buses. The airport can get busy during peak hours, and some dining options are pricey, but overall a smooth and comfortable experience.

Oslo Airport was clean, easy to navigate, and well organized. Security moved quickly, and signs were clear in both Norwegian and English. The duty free selection was excellent—lots of variety, well stocked, and surprisingly good prices compared to other airports. Overall, a smooth experience for both arrival and departure.

The international airport in Norway offers a wide variety of different shops, souvenirs and a nice futuristic vibe. Very easy airport to navigate, stuff is helpful and friendly. Can't wait to visit it during other seasons as well.
Konstantinos K — Google review
Moderately sized airport that is easy to access all the gates. Very large variety of shopping items in the duty free area. Toilets are a bit hard to find if you don’t walk into the side areas. Chairs and floors can be really dirty, especially compared to other Scandinavian airports. The entrance from the airport train station is really inconvenient with the two sets of hand pushed turning doors.

Hello please I’ll be having 8:45am flight from this airport to Krakow on 1st of September. The earliest bus 6am-7:15am. Please will that be enough time to catch my flight. I’m afraid of missing my flight as I can’t seems to get early bus to the airport. Please advise on this.

Gets the job done, but low cost it is not. You do not have the same quality or quantity of facilities of Gardermoen, but you charge prices like you do. You don't even try and sell original Apple products, just some cheap replicas for twice the high street price. Having to walk across an improvised bridge over and around local flooding at the gate to climb inbuilt stairs for the same money to use a skybridge at Gardermoen. Unless it was a dire emergency (and this time it was,) I would not use this airport again.
Neil R — Google review
Very clean and small. There is a shuttle right outside of the exit that will take you to the Torp train stop for free! We got the tickets in the machine available inside the airport next to the exit and it all went super smoothly.
Mandy P — Google review
Arrived the night before the flight, had no where to stay in a unknown country, the security guard kicked us out after midnight, had to sleep outside on the benches for 4 hours until the airport opens up

A very small and efficient airport. No queues to get through passport control. Very clean and tidy. Direct express bus to Oslo coordinated to the flight times and the shop was of good value. I would fly here again.

A very small, but nice and clean airport. I really liked the duty free shop, so many lovely products. It's quite far from Oslo, but you can take the bus or the train.
Ramona B — Google review
Very small airport with one shop for the basics. The client service at information desk need to improve. No information regarding the possible means and stations, or if the tickets are integrated train-bus, the approx fees between the options and taxis. We needed assistance to go to Tonsberg and better was google indications. The airport require more signs and help for travelers, like bus signs indicators inside the airport to bus stations, the buses numbers big and high in each place, otherwise with your luggage have to go pole by pole and read the very small letter (just for young people) the bus, route and schedule. An electronic board in an airport could help. HIGHLIGHT: Maybe for them is obvious, but not for new travellers. Airline support was ok. The Client Service replied and considered the do not need to improve. This is the very big sign how the take the improvement suggestions.

A lovely small airport, 1 hour 15 min drive from Oslo. No stress. Effective security. Ok tax free, no jet bridges at the gates so you need to go out to get into the airplane. So if it is bad weather it may be wet…. The parking lots are in walking distance from the main entrance.
