Italian restaurant
La Terrazza is a charming rustic restaurant that offers a diverse menu featuring local Aostan plates, Italian-Mediterranean dishes, and delectable pizzas. The establishment's wine cellar boasts an impressive selection of Aosta Valley wines. With nearly 30 years of experience, this family-run restaurant prides itself on serving seasonal Mediterranean Italian cuisine. In addition to their excellent pizzas, La Terrazza also offers raclette and fondue on their special menu.
Delicious. Had to come back for dinner after a great lunch.

Decent food in a cozy setting. Dishes are a hit or miss, price is quite high for what you get. Recommended: meat dishes like lamb chop or fillet mignon, tomato oregano salad, porcini mushroom pasta. Not recommended: cabbage salad with anchovies, fondue, fondant chocolate cake. Service is a bit slow but it seems it was especially crowded today due to UMTB event.
Van B — Google review
Nice family run Italian Resturant. Recommended by our hotel the meal for our family of 6 was excellent. They have both local and general Italian specialties. Local beef and veal was especially good.
Bill D — Google review
We had the best meal of our trip here. We shared the alpine herb salad, the beef ragù pasta, the roasted chicken, the cheesecake, and the strudel — every single dish was extraordinary. The local beer was excellent as well. Highly recommended!
Esther M — Google review
Stopped here on a road trip after an arduous wait at the Mont Blanc tunnel and was concerned that we would be too late for lunch. However we were welcome with open arms! The older gentleman who I can only assume was the owner was very friendly even greeting our screaming baby with smiles and laughter. With baby finally settled, ambience in the restaurant was relaxed and chilled, a great spot for a quiet date? Finally not to be topped by the service and ambience alone the food was fantastic, we ordered the octopus pasta, bolognese, pork ribs and burrata. The octopus was the star in a faultless line up; a generous amount of octopus within a beef mince bolognese like sauce and pasta cooked perfectly. A happy surprise break from our travels will come again when I’m in the area. Practical yet useful side point, the baby changing facilities are clean and spacious. Thanks for a great experience !

Amazing!! Service was great, spoke English, Italian and French! We were greeted with a kind smile from a great lively man! Even though they didn’t have much room, they made room for us! So generous and it was well worth it! Food was heavenly 😇 Highly recommend the sliced beef with salad and Parmesan, and the ravioli! It was great lunch with amazing vibes that really enhanced our quality family time. #ciaobella 💃🇮🇹

The atmosphere was super quaint, authentic Italian countryside. The servers were great and attentive. We asked for butter with our bread and it was so delightful, fresh and cold. I recommend doing that! The food we ordered was great (didn't like the entrée ravioli too much), but I enjoyed the charcuterie appetizer and wine.
Taylor C — Google review
The restaurant was very accommodating. We entered the restaurant with a warm welcome from a friendly Italian Uomo with mustache. The waitress took our order with some dishes based on Google review. We also ordered 3 desserts with recommendations from waitress. Every single dish we ordered were very tasty. The desserts were to die for.

Saulle Re - Ristorante, Pizzeria e bar

$$$$affordable
Pizza restaurant
Saulle Re - Ristorante, Pizzeria e bar is a must-visit restaurant located just off the city center on a large street. The pizza here is said to taste just like authentic Neapolitan pizza, with extremely fresh and soft crust made from high-quality ingredients. Visitors also rave about the Fritte fritte dessert, which resembles churros but with a donut-like twist.
Thank God for Google, because it led me to this place! Fast and friendly service, delicious pizza right out of the oven and a vibrant atmosphere full of locals on a Saturday evening.
Adam R — Google review
Excellent neapolitan pizzas, with a great variety! And also a selection of other dishes, which we did not try
Pierre-Jean T — Google review
I can't stress enough that you need to come here for pizza. This might be the best pizza within all of Northern Italy. I find myself driving through the aosta valley a lot these days and I make sure that I schedule my trips to visit iSaulle. They have a great parking lot right out front that always has spaces available and it's right off of the highway. Easy access from aosta or the Great St Bernardo pass. The food is incredible, the ingredients are amazingly fresh as though they were picked that morning from the garden. The flavors blend together so well it's as though they were created with a higher power. The entire menu is absolutely amazing although I often find myself migrating to their pizza as it is like nothing I have ever experienced. If you go out to one restaurant when you're in Northern Italy make it iSaulle. You will not regret it and you will find yourself wanting more. I also want to compliment and mention how friendly every employee and staff member is that works here. It's almost as though it's one big family and from the moment you walk into the door they welcome you and I almost want to reach out and give them a hug. It's that cool of a place. And finally, the prices are incredibly reasonable for what you get. Now go enjoy some pizza and delicious food.
Aaron S — Google review
Indeed true napolitan pizza, amazing quality, wide choice of pizzas and other dishes. The staff is incredibly friendly, servings of drinks and food are very generous! Totally recommended. Top level of authentic italian pizzeria👍

Best restaurant in town. I had two pizzas in a row and loved it. I can definitely recommend this restaurant. Super nice service, delicious food for best price. Love this restaurant.
Alexander L — Google review
I will leave this review for the owner since I couldn’t say it to his face yesterday when we were there . Next time you have a French speaking group of people coming to your restaurant , give them the French menus that you already have and LET THEM READ WITH calm without coming with your pressure and options . You literally didn’t leave the table since the moment we arrived till we made the order . It was embarrassing and much pressure from your side . You didn’t stop speaking in Italian and giving us options that we barely understood. You brought us appetizers that we didn’t ask for and after paying we realised that we ordered 2 waters and you charged us 5 . Really sad experience. And NO! We didn’t want to eat for free. You should see my reviews from other restaurant . We didn’t tell you anything about eating free or not charging us . We even shout our mouths about the 3 water you charged us . Not nice !
Danielda D — Google review
Quick and friendly service with delicious pizzas. The restaurant is a bit out of the way but totally worth it.

Aldente Trattoria Italiana is a great place to enjoy delicious Italian cuisine. The food was fantastic, the atmosphere cozy and warm, and the service excellent. They have a wide variety of wines available for purchase, as well as bread, olive oil and vinegar. All in all an amazing experience!
A beautiful restaurant with superb food, great service and wonderful staff. Everything we ordered was perfect and the Tiramisù was probably the best I have ever eaten........and I have eaten a lot of them.

Sublime food! 4 service for 40 euros, gastronomic food, no one can beat this! Best wine card with many local really extraordinary wines. Super friendly service and atmosphere, felt really relaxed and comfortable. On a Monday it was full up and local people waiting for tables! Clear sign of high quality! Will be back for sure.

Stopped by Aosta for a dinner on our way back to Geneva. We had a great meal at Aldente. Not super hungry so we ordered only mains. Cannelloni filled with Aosta Valley beef with fonduta di fontina DOP I highly recommend, slow cooked veal served with porcini mushroom was also delicious.😋. The outdoor area had a really good vibe, relaxing and cool. While we getting the bill, the lady at the counter gave us a lovely jar of jam ❤️
Yi Y — Google review
Fantastic welcome and service in a lovely setting. Food wine and atmosphere 5 stars. We all had the Alpine menu 4 course for €40 the food was outstanding. Great wine selection you can choose by price or really treat yourselves.
Keith M — Google review
Really nice atmosphere and amazing unique dishes. The appetizers are well done, especially the scallops are cooked to the right point and the tartare is refreshing accompanied by the artichokes.

I read so many good reviews and was looking forward visiting this place. At the end, they put us in a very hot place, with no air and so many people. We were not expecting such a loud room. The risotto was bad, very sour. My husband ordered meat, which was tasteless. The only dish I liked was trout carpaccio. The service was nice
Epolina — Google review
Stylish and well presented food. Good service. We had the tasting menu for €40 and felt it was good value. Mainly seafood but classic Italian focus.

Eng/Ita/Fra Excellent restaurant in the center of Aosta, quite easy to reach on foot. Local typical and welcoming, really nice. Varied menu, there are proposals at a fixed price, as the price of the dishes is not cheap, but I would say adequate to the quality. Wine list really very wide, there are proposals from all over Italy. Personally I was guided in the choice to try to enjoy a typical dinner, and I must say that the owner has hit the point, from appetizer to the second, and was also quite honest.

It was our great experience here. This restaurant is not only interesting at the decoration, also the foods are very good. The owner and staffs are very friendly and they have a fun game to play with alcohol, helmet and the baseball bat if you ask for it. We came on 31/01/2022 so it was a fun and great night before the New Year. Highly recommend! 👍

The food was edible I guess… the service was terrible after multiple eye contacts we still had to ask the waiter to take the order. Prices are inadequate for what you get.
Paulius M — Google review
Nice little place. A bit away from the main city street which makes it a bit quieter and not so crazy. The food itself was good, but the menu is really short - not many options. And if polenta isn't your thing, then the list gets even shorter. The dishes were plenty big enough to fill you up, and very tasty, but the dessert was a very small jar of Panna cotta. Kind of awkward and too small for 6 euros in my opinion. Anyways, cool atmosphere, good food, but for me not quite enough for the full score

Amazing local pub. The owner speaks English, warning not much of the staff do. Be nice and come with google translate you can get by. Excellent food, excellent service, atmosphere is unique and rustic.

If you're in the mood for some delicious traditional Italian food, Trattoria Praetoria is definitely worth checking out! The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the food is top-notch. You won't be disappointed!
We were brought here by a friend and it was a right choice. The place is cozy and nice and the food was very good! We tried the mix of cheeses and salamis all really good, then the carbonara with polenta which was absolutely delicious 🤤 to conclude the meal a dessert was a must and we loved the choice and the quality. We will definitely come back.
J R — Google review
I had dinner at Trattoria Praetoria with the kids, and overall, it was not life changing. The service was okay, the waiter didn’t volunteer their best dishes dispute me asking multiple times. Just pointed to which ever ones were not pork. The ambiance is average, which is definitely ok if the food is amazing. The food was decent but nothing memorable. My kids didn’t like their pasta at all—they somehow managed to mess up plain penne with cheese, turning it into something closer to a white sauce. The waiter also got my starter order wrong, so I ended up with a whole cheese dish—not what I wanted, even though it tasted good. My main was good flavor-wise, but the portion of meat was a bit low. And I generally don’t like meat in sauce. Not a place I’d go back to but not disappointed by it either.
Galya A — Google review
Really good and tasty! We will come back! They have a certificate of the association of celiacs since 2017, so you can eat relaxed because your dishes are without gluten 🤩 The coulant of pistachio is the best I tasted!

Delicious food, excellent service. My husband and I dined there tonight and the quality of everything was excellent. Thank you and we will be back!

This restaurant was recommended to us by our B&B it is lovely, the menu is original, you get local food and creative menu. The location is perfect and the service is super fast. The service was good and nice and people there are welcoming. But There was no atmosphere, no music nothing. We were almost alone in the restaurant and it felt very silent. Adding some atmosphere music would help (maybe they forgot it on that night). The food was okay. Maybe we’ll give it another try next time 🙌🏼
Aude — Google review
really great place where you can try traditional dishes. the restaurant is placed in the city center, next to the "porta praetoria". the place is nice and really cured. the quality of the food is really high and the dishes are excellent, the offer is in line with the tradition of this region. the price is a bit high but the staff is friendly and helpful.

A very wonderful place, The food was very good and the price reasonable, and they have almost everything GLUTEN FREE. We were in 2 and we took the tasting menu, that came with a delicius plate of local products as appetizers, gnocchi with fondue, polenta with carbonada and dessert, we spent 74 euros total with water and coffee. everything gluten free. Also the service was great and the waiters very nice. Worth a stop, especially if you need a gluten free menu.

We stopped there for lunch and visit the beautiful town of Aosta/ Aoste. Perfect outdoor seating just close to the porta praetoria. Good variety of local and italian food. Reasonable price and a good quality of the products. Very good choice of vines and also small bottles, better if you wanna have something to do the rest of the day. Friendly service. Go there when you visit this beautiful town ad the food of the alps.

A wonderful place! The atmosphere is tops, welcoming and caring service, excellent food, very reasonably priced for the quality. Good selection of wines. Not to miss.
Miguel P — Google review
Some of the best food and drinks we had in Cogne. The decor is very traditional and staff wear traditional clothing. We waited a little longer to order, I think because they needed someone who spoke the most English to come take it. But everyone was nice. The hostess recommended a limoncello spritz, and it was amazing. I preferred it over an aperol spritz. The food was very good, including the pasta and mains. The whipped potatoes were some of the best I've ever had.

This place was such a gem. After a long hike, we were starved and very possibly over ordered but everything was SO GOOD we finished most of it and even had leftovers to takeaway. These leftovers were STILL our best meal after 2 days of traveling and we had bib gourmand meals all the way through.

The staff is highly knowledgeable about wine pairings and provides excellent recommendations. Charming little Alpine house, the kindest service, and super high quality local food. Don't miss out on the deer medaglione and the fish from Lillaz. We started with the polenta, which I thought I wouldn't like so much, but we wanted to try it nevertheless as it's part of the local cuisine. It was so hearty and tasty with the cheese topping. We barely had any space for the crema di Cogne to finish the feast. It's an absolute must if you go for dessert.

I had a delicious lunch in this restaurant, the food is prepared and presented with great care and everything tasted great and sophisticated (in a good way). Steak tartar with wasabi appetizer was great with wine we got. Pappardelle di ragú was amazing and so was the Tuscan soup. The chef and her mom is from Tuscany and it’s their home cooking they said about the soup. We also had the mushroom ravioli and the skin was so thin and delicate it was so delicious. For secondi we had a trout carpaccio and we think we didn’t really have to have that… the desserts were divine. The Aosta valley’s famous crèma do cogne con tegole was soooo gooood. It was a special dinner ❤️ if you want light and quick, this is not your spot. But it was worth it for us. And we stayed in the hotel above so just not having to walk back too far was also a plus 😂 Next time I be more brave and order a bigger dish. I always get scared of ordering way too much and not being able to finish. But each plate was moderately sized, and just perfect for us three.

Imagine it's a warm saturday afternoon, you are just walking through the ancient streets of Aosta, and all of a sudden you feel an imminent urge for some good wine, snacks, coffee possibly. So, you look left and right, see all these idylic bars and caffeterias. Well, if you walk around this one, you might've just found the right one. We did. The waitress and the owner (?) were extremely nice and helpful to pick the right wine and snacks to go with. We actually ended up buying couple bottles, what we usually don't do. Other than that we just enjoyed amazing (yet very rudimentary) caprese, selection of local cheese and nuts. We didn't checked time anymore and just endulged the atmosphere. Only thing I'd like to change: please serve your caprese with fresh basil leaves. Dried just won't do. Other than that - fantastic job, keep your spirit!

Beautiful setting in a small square over looking the Roman ruins and the mountain as the back drop. Beer was unbelievable with lots to try and rate. All 10/10 for me. Menu and food was varied with staple pastas which were delicious- try the hybrid - carbonara meets amatriciana - 10/10. The burgers were a hit with the other tables so check them out as well. Booking online was super easy and worth doing. Gutted to not have long in the city to try other things on the menu. Great for summer or ski trips.

"I had a craft beer and pasta lunch at 63, which had a great atmosphere and location. However, I was a bit unsure about the cover charge per head as it seemed to take away from the overall experience for me. On the positive side, the pasta was delicious and enjoyable. 🤔👍🍺 Overall, it was a good experience with some feedback for improvement."

Welcoming staff, a large selection of beers and amazing food. Highly recommend the Pulled pork burger and the Apollo Creed burger....you will not be disappointed. Visited twice, within days if each other, and had these both times

We only came here for drinks during late lunchtime. Can get a wine for €4 but they have about have a dozen of their own craft beers between €5.50 - €6. Modern building in a lovely setting.

low quality kitchen for the main dishes, quite a small beer choice but good ambience on terrace

Amazing food 😋 had a mouth orgasm with the beef tataki, loved all the beers and really enjoyed the burger! Definitely recommend!

I really wanted to finish our Aosta experience on a high note. TL;DR - staff does not pay attention to customers with empty beer glasses for almost half an hour. We arrived reasonably full already, however, there was still room for a burger and a couple of beers. The menu is a qr code, that leads to a website that is supposedly in several languages. None of the translations work, it is always in italian and there are no photos of the dishes. Google translate also refused to translate the site for some reason. So we ordered beers and I started copypasting the dishes in the google translate manually, to see what was available. The beers came quickly. As we were drinking them, we had made our minds and chosen a burger and some dish the couple nex to us were having (could not find it in the menu, so was going to ask the waiter). However, no one came. I tried making eye contact and waving, but no avail. Tables around us were getting lots of attention, some more, some less. We sat there with wmpty glasses for more than 20 minutes, until we changed our minds. I went to the bar, we paid and left. Which is a shame, as the food looked and smelled amazing. I have never ever before spent 20 minutes with an empty glass in a bar! Maybe that is normal in Italy, don't know - but normally almost as soon as the glass is empty, someone gets the glass and asks whether to get another one. On the plus side, the beer and chees were good.

Torino Airport

Airport
International airport
Torino Airport is a modern transportation hub offering both national and international flights, as well as access to railway and bus stations. Despite its small size, the airport provides a pleasant and comfortable experience for travelers. The Baby Lounge on the 2nd floor is a unique amenity, while numerous restaurants are available, albeit somewhat hidden in the right corner. For those looking to save money, there's a small supermarket with reasonable prices on the arrival level.
I love this airport. Excellent transport to reach other destinations. Polite staff, a fair amount of shops, well certainly more than my usual airport. Loved the takeaway pizza! I found myself needing to use their medical assistance following an allergic reaction to my left eye and was seen in their clinic promptly by friendly and very qualified staff. The service received was outstanding! Their prompt help allowed me to fly with minimal discomfort! Thank you to each one of you, if you read this review. Keep up the amazing work you do. I will fly from this airport more often, hopefully not requiring medical assistance next time! Thank you Turin! Ci rivedremo presto!

Our experience at passport control was nothing short of a nightmare. Six flights arrived almost simultaneously, leading to complete chaos. There was no clear organisation or guidance on where to queue. The entire process dragged on for hours, with no apparent forward planning

One of the worst airports of this size. Once leaving the terminal we're following the "Bus" sign and ended up in a car park while the bus stop was in a completely different part of the airport. It took me nearly half an hour to find it. On the way back it didn't get any better. Definitely not a sufficient sitting space comparing to the number of passengers. It's a little nightmare if you travel with small kids. Everything topped by a rude service on the food counters by non-English speaking staff. I would expect on an airport in a major European city the customers facing staff would know some English.

It is a small airport, but it has everything you will need. Passport and check-in procedures are very fast. When you leave the airport, there is a taxi stand and a train station across the street.

Great airport, fairly small. Line through security goes quick and there's enough shops and restaurants to entertain while you wait for your flight

The airport is a medium sized airport which was quick to arrive at and no waiting times at security when leaving. A good range of outlets to choose from as well as McDonald's avaliable for customers. Clean and tidy. Would visit again.

Clean, convenient from London. Many options for Car rental right after checking out. There is bus shuttle to center or using taxi with reasonable price. If you fly back from Turin, lots of nice wine, specialities, chocolates with reasonable prices. There are also Drinks& Coffee bars, toilettes inside where you are waiting on board, you can grab some panini or buy the last minute gifts. Turin Airport has improved to be excellent services!

Fine small airport, helpful staff, not so crowded like other Italian airports like in Bologna, Venice or Roma. Connection to city centre is easy with public transport like Flixbus. Like 20 to 30 min depending the traffic. Ok for 6 Euro if you buy return ticket too. Some shops, restaurants, enough toilettes. Security doesn't take too long only the flight companies have delays...
