Ukrainian restaurant
KANAPA restaurant is a part of the diverse culinary scene in Ukraine, offering new Ukrainian cuisine. Situated on Andrews Descent, one of Kiev's renowned streets, the restaurant encapsulates the area's historical and artistic ambiance. With its focus on new Ukrainian cuisine, KANAPA provides an authentic dining experience amidst a wide array of restaurants in Ukraine that serve delectable dishes and refreshing beverages with top-notch service.
Kanapa Restaurant is a fantastic spot right on Andriivsky Descent, perfect for a traditional Ukrainian lunch. The food is made with love, and the borscht—served in a cabbage head—is a real highlight. The atmosphere is cozy with a touch of vintage charm, making it a great place to relax and enjoy an authentic meal. I’ll definitely be back!

Had the tasters menu + oysters. Really good choice - warmly recommended! The tasters is a very nice assortment that exposes you to a variety of Ukrainian dishes and customs. And the place looks good too. Priced affordable relative to western Europe.
Diana O — Google review
Actually good. We tried Kiev chicken and grilled beef, some tomato salad and herring... Bill came at nearly 1000 hrn, so probably not super affordable, but... Location is nice, the place itself is very nice, service is good, and the bill itself felt kind of reasonable, not shocking, as sometimes is the case here... If you have tourist guests and need to take them to a place with good Ukrainian food, this one might be it. I would probably like more simple Ukrainian dishes on the menu, like the chicken Kiev was, but overall good.
Kemal S — Google review
Superb food with great playfulness (try the edible candles). Service is great with staff speaking good English. Live music increases the atmosphere in the already beautiful place, but if you want to talk, get a table in the charming side room. Costs more than most places in town, but well worth it.
Magnus O — Google review
My favourite restaurant in Kiev! I went here twice, and both times the meal was incredible and the service was so accommodating, nice and attentive. Can highly recommend the root salad (it doesn't sound like much but it is incredible and the cheese topping makes for a smoky show), and cherry dumplings for dessert!
Vivienne M — Google review
I've chosen the place because of its good recommendations. First, the place is good, but not that great as lots of people write. Overall, it's a good place for Ukrainian food, and maybe other dishes are much better than the ones I had. The Kraut Vareniky were the best dish I ordered, very recommendable. The rest was nothing special.
Tom V — Google review
I can definitely say that it is one of the best lamb meats I have ever eaten. The fact that it is crispy on the outside and cooked very well must be a separate skill. Apart from this, the rabbit meat borsch soup was also very successful. CiHo served as dessert is very light and delicious. a place that deserves a lot of thanks
Ercan C — Google review
Great service and lovely ambiance. Feels very cozy and romantic as if you are in a mountain cabin (Schalet). I had a glass of the Portugal red wine. Although it priced lowest, it was surprisingly smooth and slightly sweet (similar to Georgian wine). I loved it. Food was overall good. Not the most creative but all flavored well. A basket of bread was only 19 UAH and served nicely warm. Highly recommend it.

Musafir

Mentioned on
4 lists
$$$$affordable
Middle Eastern restaurant
Restaurant
Musafir is a popular restaurant in Kiev that offers traditional Crimean Tatar cuisine. It has become a favorite among locals since its opening by the Seyitveliev family, who are settlers from Crimea. The menu features authentic Tatar dishes such as chebureks, yantyks, manty, kebab, and pilaf. The restaurant's relocation from Bakhchysaray to Kyiv in May 2015 has not diminished its popularity.
A must-visit when you’re in Kyiv. Super authentic and delicious Crimean Tatar food, with great service, a cozy interior, and a convenient location. This Musafir is usually busier than the others — there’s often a line and no free tables — so I’d recommend checking out a nearby one if you want to avoid the wait. My go-to is always the cheburek and yantyk combo. They also have great vegan and Lenten-friendly options.
Sophie S — Google review
What an authentic and special place! You can really get a touch of Crimean culture here. The food is very good and the service is great! Note that there is no alcohol but the restaurant allows you to bring your alcohol absolutely for free. Just one of the peculiarities of this spot. Nevertheless the food is very tasty. Didn’t really like the lamb chops though, was a bit chewy. But the rest was good.
Veronica D — Google review
A very welcoming cafe. This is a bright representative of the family of restaurants serving homemade traditional Crimean Tatar cuisine. This is not the first time I have been visiting. They make me happy every time. The prices are very reasonable. The dishes are always fresh and tasty. They cook quickly. There are always a lot of visitors here. The staff is friendly and professional. The service is fast and attentive. I recommend the grilled meat menu, soup with small dumplings, manti, chebureki.
Poseidónas G — Google review
Amazing Tatar cuisine, a MUST while in Kyiv (I came twice)
Carlos C — Google review
Love on first sight! So far I only tried some Starters and a Glass of Wine. Both was excellent. I will update this review after my next experience. Great Place... love the Schaschlick...
Helmut S — Google review
Very fine and tasty qirim tatar cuisine. Fast and friendly service. Fresh Ingredients, nicely balanced spices. Perfect place to drop by for a cup of coffee and a dessert, to have a full meal or even to celebrate your birthday.
Nadiia K — Google review
I think I could never get tired of coming to this restaurant. Staff is friendly, the service is fast and the food is always amazing. I deeply recommend as a place you must visit in Kyiv.
Katherine B — Google review
Nice cozy restaurant with live music. And most importantly, delicious food! My parents and I tried several types of soups, yantyki and bahwala. And also very tasty hummus and tortilla. I think I will definitely come here again to try other dishes❤️

Tsars'ke Selo

Ukrainian restaurant
Restaurant
Tsars'ke Selo is a long-standing restaurant in Kyiv, Ukraine, offering a wide selection of traditional Ukrainian dishes in a charming setting. Situated near the Kyevo-Pecherska Lavra, it provides an ideal spot to relax after exploring spiritual sights. The restaurant's exterior and interior are beautifully designed in old Ukrainian style with wooden cabin-style walls and elegant white tablecloths.
I had the most amazing borsht here today! The staff was incredibly friendly and helped me decide on my meal. The decor was uniquely Ukrainian. Would definitely recommend for anyone visiting Kyiv!
Colin M — Google review
Very interesting restaurant! I love the traditional costumes and the cottage-y interiors and crafts, a wonderful way to see the culture on a different time. I do agree the prices of food are higher, but it was winter, and the place was alive and cheerful. The borscht was very good and the grilled veal was excellent! The waiter recommended chicken Kiev, but it was so-so. Sadly, i had it in front of me and didn't want to waste it. If i have to go back, I'lll try the grilled meats because they're excellent, whether pork, fish, veal, or beef. I'd love local vegetable dishes, too. Cheers to the staff for being game and friendly!
M F — Google review
This place was known as a tourist trap but I think it has changed for the better. It is still pricier than similar restaurants in Kyiv, but the food quality has improved. So if you are OK with overpaying for the dishes the location itself is pretty nice, especially the country-style summer terrace.
Leo G — Google review
Great ambiance, it was an honor to visit Kyiv despite difficult circumstances and we were welcomed and delighted by the staff, live band of musicians and enthusiastic patrons. My only regret was that I was enjoying myself too much to be able to paint a more accurate depiction of the scene in the moment! Thank you
Benjamin P — Google review
Taste of Ukrainian culture is right here! 😍 If you want to sit outside in a nice garden you must do a reservation. Since we didn’t have reservation, we sat inside and it was still beautifully decorated with traditional Ukrainian items😍 Vareniki and eggplant roles were top favorite 😍
Farida E — Google review
The place is beautiful and nice it has nice music but .. it’s a tourist trap. The waiters were really pushy, they didn’t want to explain how the menu work. They just repeat the same all the time. We asked before to order at all, to split the bill. We were one couple and one single person. They said it’s not possible and it’s lots of trouble I’m a rude way almost inviting us to leave if we don’t want to stay. Whenever you order your main they ask if you want potatoes or vegetable. Careful they are not included. Nice food though.
Jose A — Google review
Authentic food, huge place, friendly staff, food is great, taste and freshness are top. Prices higher than in normal kiev restaurants but still quite affordable for tourists. Interior is authentic. They also have traditional live music. Altough it is impossible to understand the songs without speaking the language, the atmosphere is great!
Alexander F — Google review
I loved this restaurant. Very delicious food, friendly staff, fast service, variety of Ukrainian food. Inside of the restaurant and the clothes of the staff are traditional as well. The prices are reasonable (expect to pay around 25€). We were 4 people, we had starters, lots of beers and main dish for 700 UA each. Definitely try.

BAO • Modern Chinese Cuisine

Restaurant
BAO • Modern Chinese Cuisine is a trendy restaurant in Kiev, Ukraine, known for its focus on modern Chinese cuisine. Founded by chef Hector Jimenez-Bravo, the eatery offers a variety of dishes such as dim sum, shu mai, noodle dishes and Peking duck. The open kitchen allows diners to see their food being prepared. The restaurant's modern interior is designed by the YOD Design Studio and features communal tables inspired by Asian bamboo forests.
I like this place, I've been here not for the first time. It's very tasty here. The interior is exquisite. The collection of figurines is like an exhibition in a gallery. The modern art installation above the long common table amazes me. This place inspires me. I tried Peking duck here, it's delicious. I tasted something else, but I forgot. But everything is delicious. And the prices, the prices are worth this beauty and harmony!
Bandurka E — Google review
Everything is perfect. I loved my birthday celebration here . The food was amazing, the service was over the top the atmosphere was great. The only thing is that Ector wasn’t there. But everything was amazing overall. I highly recommend the duck, dim sums and the apple like dessert. I leave everything else to the staff. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
Ivan ( — Google review
The food was delicious; however, I expected a more authentic taste. The taste seems to be adapted for Ukrainian or European visitors. The staff is super friendly and open. They can even cook dishes that aren't on the menu! Great people and a stylish place.
Yana D — Google review
The food and service did not disappoint. I ordered the Hong Kong soup and salad with duck and citrus fruits, the combination of flavors is excellent, soup with shrimp dumplings and cilantro, on top of buns with a pleasant spiciness. The balance of mushy breast with chili and fruit is simply divine. I don't like sweets, but even the dessert tasted good. The great location for a delicious and aesthetic dinner. We chose a table with a view of the open kitchen. Enjoying the stylish interior and the work of the team at the same time is a great idea.
Lidia S — Google review
What a great place to recommend!. Sophisticated presentation, delicious food and wonderful ambiance. Loved my cocktail Ginger Gin and passionfruit cocktail. Incredible surprises that Kyiv has to offer. I will definitely come back!
Elena M — Google review
Absolutely amazing restaurant with great and experienced service. The menu has your staple Chinese dishes, so if you are a regular of Chinese restaurants, you will not need much time to make up your mind. The food balances the traditional recipes with fresh new ingredients delicately crafted on the plate. Our favorite appetizer were the crispy duck spring rolls. The best entree was the kung pao shrimp, and for dessert, the mousse with coconut milk, mango purée and Thai basil. The drink menu is where you will spend most of your time deciding, as all drinks are unique to this restaurant. Whichever you pick, you will be impressed. Our favorite was the Bao Spritz which is made with a house-made bitter liquor and comes a grapefruit sorbet in a passion fruit shell. Not a ding to this rating, but a few recommendations. Rice: they do not bring steamed rice unless you ask for it; something so central to Asian cuisine should come with all entrées. Dumplings: good, but not great; they have not yet cracked the code on how to make them special. We were expecting the shrimp dumplings to have the soup inside. Singaporean rice: missed a key ingredient-chili peppers
Andres G — Google review
This was my first time here. The service was good despite how busy it was. The food was very tasty and my Mongolian beef was the most tender meat ever. They put real gold on top of my dessert. I came back another time for soup snd deep fried duck spring rolls. They are now my favorite spring rolls.

A very interesting restaurant. Beautiful interior. A wide range of author's cocktails and original dishes. Service at a high level. Prices are above average in Kyiv. Suitable for those who want to get new vivid impressions from gastronomic visits! I recommend to visit with a girl!

Mama Manana

Mentioned on

Georgian restaurant
Mama Manana is a must-visit restaurant in Kiev, offering delicious Georgian cuisine. It's recommended to book a table in advance, especially on weekends, as the place tends to get crowded. The menu is so tempting that it's advised not to eat too much before dining there. One of the standout dishes is the Khachapuri Adjaruli, a delectable pastry filled with local Soulougouni cheese and egg. Visitors rave about its taste and texture.
Mama Manana is a well-established chain of Georgian cuisine restaurants in Kyiv and Lviv. And this branch, which I visited for the first time, is also excellent. All the dishes I tried were delicious, and the service was very welcoming and attentive. I tried chocolate khinkali for the first time in my life, and I liked it a lot ;)
Leo G — Google review
I had a wonderful dining experience at Mama Manana. The Georgian dishes were absolutely delicious, full of authentic flavors, and beautifully served. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making it a perfect spot to enjoy a cozy meal. The staff were attentive and friendly, adding to the overall great impression. I would definitely recommend Mama Manana to anyone who loves traditional Georgian cuisine.

Thank you to the restaurant for an incredible evening! Everything was delicious, beautiful, and truly heartfelt. 💛
Olesia B — Google review
Great service, great food. Our waiter Andriy was beyond tentative and very knowledgeable of the menu and wine list. This place is soul soothing… and a culinary delight. Definitely will be coming back.
Marichka K — Google review
One of the best Georgian restaurants I’ve ever been to. The authenticity and flavor will make your visit worth it. Recommendation:try dumpling and chaczapuri. Best service by Andrey
Karan K — Google review
Great food all over. We had a bit of a language barrier but that was the only downside of the visit. We tried with the special pastry which was incredible. Kebab as main is an excellent choice that paired well with the Georgian wine. The cherry ice cream next to our apple pie was incredible. My suggestion, order starters and wait until you order main. Because when you place your order, they tend to bring everything at the same time.
Genco G — Google review
It is the first time we have eaten in a Georgian restaurant. The food is special and tasty. It is a busy restaurant by “Mama Manana”, so booking is necessary. The staff can do some English and are very helpful. a must-do in Kiev.
Christel G — Google review
Warm, cozy atmosphere on a cold December night. Excellent service. Favourites were the eggplant rolls and potatoes with chanterelles. The cheesecake is also really heavenly. Great date place.

Restaurant
Favorite Uncle is a trendy eatery in Kiev that offers a cozy and home-like dining experience. The restaurant is known for its Middle Eastern specialties and chic space with a bar and terrace. Upon entering, guests are greeted with a warm ambiance that feels like being invited for a meal by a friend or relative. The restaurant's exclusive interpretation of oriental dishes, polite service, and extraordinary interior make it popular among those who appreciate comfort and exotic flavors. Reservations are highly recommended due to its popularity.
Nice place with tasty food and kind staff. First time there i was 4 years ago, and after such years still the same good quality food.
Rimvydas B — Google review
Ill show you 2 photos of the same steak: 1 - their reality, 2-from their menu. I ordered American steak, medium rare, its 1 of the most expensive dishes in the menu, but my steak was burnt, unfortunately. Administrator tried to solve this problem, she and waiters were good, but the cook did not want to admit his mistake, although he burned the meat, it was burnt on all sides, cinders in the mouth. He wanted to justify this by saying that he cooked the steak on a stone, however, in the menu the photo of the dish and the description were about the grill, and what difference does it make, a steak on a stone should not be burnt. They made a discount on the steak, but did not exclude it, although it was almost not eaten. It's time to refresh the interior.
Jim J — Google review
One of my absolute favorite spots in Kyiv. “Ulyublenyi Dyadya” combines elegance with a cozy, welcoming vibe that makes you feel instantly at home. The service is always warm, attentive, and never intrusive, just the way it should be. And the food? Absolutely stunning. Special mention goes to their borsch with prunes. Easily one of the most refined and memorable versions I’ve tried in Kyiv. Rich, deep flavor, perfectly balanced sweetness from the prunes, and that comforting homemade feel. A true must-try. Perfect for both a quiet dinner and a special night out. Highly recommend! This place never disappoints.
Ann M — Google review
My favorite place for breakfast in Kiev. It's costly but worth it, believe me. Food is awesome, service is perfect, not annoying and really caring staff. They brought us complimentary sandwiches when found out that we have a flight. It was very sweet and the sandwiches were tasty. Interior is very nice, home vibes with a layer of intelligence. Coffee is really good, not over roasted (but f you prefer a dark roast, maybe it will be not bitter enough for you). Desserts: Anna Pavlova and Napoleon. But be aware that desserts are huge! Breakfast: shakshuka and set for two (with sparkling wine), hash browns with salmon is also good. Ask not to mix jam with sour cream if you order ”sirniki” for breakfast. Let them bring it in separate bowls so you could mix it according to your taste.
Svetlana R — Google review
I really love this place. It’s warm, inviting, and always feels comfortable inside. The hummus with vegetables is my go-to—I find myself happily ordering it every time I visit. The drinks are delicious, and the seating is cozy enough to settle in for a while. A consistently pleasant spot that never disappoints.
Sharon G — Google review
The same owner as Life of Wonderful People, Favorite Uncle lives up the hype. The eggs Benny on carrot bread is to die for (add bacon). They prep the poached and soft boiled eggs with precision. Between the 6 eggs we had at breakfast, they were all done to perfection. Their hummus was extremely authentic. Hummus at other places in Kiev, while can be good, doesn't taste like authentic hummus. This one did. Top it off with a banana and nut cake that is to die for, I couldn't imagine a better brunch. For dinner, I'm equally blown away. Their octopus hummus had a sweet flavor that melded perfectly with the salty octopus and hummus. You lose the authentic hummus taste, but gain a unique juxtaposition of flavors. The veal tenderloin was perfectly tender. I didn't think it was possible to get tender beef in Ukraine till now. I'll definitely be coming back to try the rest of the menu.

Oh. My. Gaaaaad. You guys! Best food I’ve had in Ukraine + definitely top-5 of any restaurant these past couple years. Bravo. Hats off. Wow. Amazing chef’s team and service. Spent about $30 per person for starter + main + desert + alco drink.

Korchma Taras Bulba is a chain of restaurants named after a legendary Cossack leader, offering hearty and rustic Ukrainian cuisine in a traditional setting. The restaurant features an ambiance reminiscent of a Ukrainian village, with staff dressed in traditional embroidered shirts and the option for guests to wear headdresses and farmers hats. Always excellent experience at this restaurant! The food is delicious! The service is outstanding!!! The ladies who work there are super friendly and very helpful. I had some stomach issues and they accommodated my needs and cooked special dietary food. I was there before and I like their traditional food. The chefs definitely do great job! Thank you all for always amazing experience. Highly recommended! The food is very tasty, portions are big and you get served very quickly. The personnel is very friendly and attentive. English menus are available. The place is medium priced but you get a lot for your money. Besides the food, the restaurant offers a great ambient and atmosphere. For kids, some room to play is available.

This was a magical restaurant with interesting decor. I loved all the different plants and wall hangings. I have a very special memory there. The food was tied with another for my favorite Ukrainian food in Kyiv. The service was always great. I felt like part of a family dining there. I hope they keep some of the character it had when the remodel is completed.

Great place with a wonderful atmosphere and service. It's a bit pricy though, but food is very good.
Shakhnoza M — Google review
Visited in Feb 2021, before the current escalation of conflict. I was an avid whisky connoisseur and this place blew my mind. An experience I still think about. The Good -Welcoming Five Star service from the outset -Extensive range of the very scotch -Highly knowledgeable staff. I overheard them guiding some americans through the whisky menu with top-level knowledge -Fine dining food selection. The 'British Pie' was tender, delicately wrapped in a light pastry and had a depth of flavour from the 'Smoky Scot'. A wonderful dish. -The price. If you're used to fine dining in major cities of the world, then you'll be pleasantly surprised when the bill comes. High end food, mid range pricing. The Bad Nothing. Visit and support this fine establishment. Greg's Tip Try the Quil Egg with a Jura

Nice place uniqe taste and good service. The stake is not close to best steak i ate. The carpachio nice but the mushrooms not feet with it.

Really awesome food. We had beef Wellington and meat pie. Delicious. Goes without saying that they also have a really good selection of whiskey. Highly recommended place although a bit on the pricy side.
Erik O — Google review
This is the kind of place you visit again after a while and say, "why don't we come here more often!" Everything is quality. The food is fantastic and the whisky selection is nothing short of amazing. On Friday nights they also have live music that compliments but does not overwhelm the warm atmosphere.
Brett C — Google review
Quite expensive, frankly speaking, but totally worth it - the best whiskey place in Ukraine! I couldn't check if all 900 names are there, but they are plenty indeed! Special regards to the waiters, who do know their whiskey and can offer good recommendation and add a nice story to it. Food is also very good - the meat was fine and on request a creamy spinach was added as a side, despite it wasn't on the menu. Keep up the good work!
Sergii B — Google review
It's a nice enough place, great range of whiskey that can keep you entertained regardless of your price band, but the food really isn't up to the same standard. Definitely edible but far from the British Cuisine it aspires to be.

Best Ukrainian cuisine food chain. They serve everything fresh (food cooked and displayed for you to choose ). Meal for 1 will be around 100 grivnas and it's amazing price. Great choice of tea & coffee & cakes & cookies & alcohol drinks & simple cocktails. Located just in front of train station. Places to charge phone available. Washroom available.

Arguably one of the best, most convenient, fastest and value-for-money places to get Ukrainian food. The buffet-style ordering can maybe be a little intimidating for foreigners nervous about their local language skills but went with someone local so it wasn't an issue - customer service is almost always great in Ukraine if you need help anyways. Went twice in one week and would happily have gone a third.

The food is alright. I've been to Pusata Hata in Lviv, and it was so much better. And I really don't like the portion sizes, they are way too big, I wish you could choose your own amount of food. But it's still convenient since it's very close to the train station

First Ukrainian restaurant I’ve ever been to and it was very tasty. Lots of different dishes to choose from. I’ll be back to try the other things I missed out on. Very reasonably priced, the serve alcohol and desserts also. #BeatTheGrind

At this moment, this is a new location. Hence the dishes, cutlery and furniture are all nice and new. The food quality is consistent with all other locations. I come here often for no frills food, good flavour and awesome value.

A great variety of good local food. The food is tasty and well-cooked. It’s not a restaurant but if you’re searching a place just to eat well - that’s the good place. On the other hand, the queues are always long.

Ukrainian restaurant
Khutorets na Dnipri is a historic Ukrainian cuisine restaurant in Kyiv, established in 1998. It offers traditional local dishes and an extensive vodka selection. The open-air terrace provides a panoramic view of the Dnipro River, and during summer, guests can enjoy gastronomic boat tours. The menu features a variety of Ukrainian specialties from different regions, including pork fat, borscht, vareniki, and Kiev cake.
One of the best places in Kyiv to try Ukrainian cuisine in the city. Their котлета по-київські is just the best 🤩you cannot stop eating there.

If you are searching for a really nice place with great traditional ukrainian food, this restaurant is for you! We were lucky to get a table without reservation, but I’d recommend to make a reservation in advance. Though it’s not the cheapest spot in Kiev, it’s worth every penny. Food was amazing as well as service (A special thanks to our waitress Oksana!). We’d definitely come back :)

Amazing place! A classy top restaurant well known amongst locals. Not very known amongst tourists this is a true hidden gem. The local cuisine is fully represented. We had a few different Vareniki for starters. Kiev is lnown for its Salo, a kind of fat distantly resembling bacon, and this dish was a must-have on our table. A tranche of duck liver pate rounded off the starters. They have their own grill and make a fantastic shashlik and beef medaillons. The chicken Kiev is a true miracle! Chicken Kiev is a dish made from chicken minced meat, often styled in cordon-blue type fashion, stuffed with a Dill/Butter mixture. When cooled the mixture melts inside the meat and escapes to form a sauce once the meat is cut. Here they style the chicken to look like a chicken leg/ drumstick. They even add a little chicken bone to make it look like a real chicken leg. The spare ribs are good, but the sauce and flavor is not like the typical US Babyback ribs. A vodka room with over 80(!) individual vodkas is overwhelming and one might leave it to the staff to provide excellent suggestions. Contrary to what you might think, vodka is an excellent accompaniment to the food and does not need to be slammed down in a shot like manner. The restaurant offers a “vodka tree” with a selection of vodkas that can be shared with friends. Absolutely necessary to reserve in weekends. If u dont know what to order, show them these pictures!

Excellent cuisine, nice service, nice view. Prices almost like in USA, thus it's better to count in dollars so they don't seem to high ;) Yes, it's very expensive restaurant, but you should try it. Anyway, we aren't supposed to eat there everyday.

Fantastic, fine dining with Ukrainian cuisine. Authentic and exquisite! The venue is very cute -- a boat on the river with all the lights and views. The staff are incredibly professional and quite exceptional. The food was simply wonderful! I ordered a chicken and mushroom roll (similar to a blini) with a mushroom cream sauce. My friend ordered some form of potatoes pancake with Smetana. They literally were transported back to village life and were consuming Smetana by the spoonful! I also ordered "potatoes and bacon on the grill;" I highly recommend. The presentation is wonderful but then it's just so delicious as well -- the potatoes were perfect and the cut of bacon was lovely. Order it was garlic sauce! We also ordered blood sausages (not my choice) but I did try them. I don't love them because I didn't grow up with them but even then they were nice. I could tell they were very very well prepared. My friend loved them. The restaurant also gave us a complimentary pickled vegetable bowl, which is a great experience for foreigners to see how everything can be picked here. The wine selection was wonderful. Settled for a lovely rosé. The vodka room was impressive even to just walk past. And the bathrooms were in spotless condition. I can't recommend this place enough!! It helps to have a reservation though.

The best meal I had in Kyiv! Everything on the menu looked so good and was well priced, I had to order a few dishes. The service is amazing, as soon as I set the silverware down my next plate arrived at my table. The Kyiv cake is the best cake I've ever had.

A great restaurant. It can give you a very pleasing, memorable and satisfying experience. It is a floating restaurant on the river Dnieper. I am impressed with the presentation of all the cuisines, but I was carried away with Kyiv chicken, as per menu. Please look at the pic, looks like drumstick, but when I used the knife and cut the shell, I found that it is hollow inside, and warm oily butterlike sauce came out. It was amazing, delicious and charming.

International airport
Boryspil International Airport is the largest airport in Kiev, located 29km from the city center. It offers intercontinental and most international flights, with convenient transportation options such as inter-terminal shuttles, Skybuses to the city, and long-distance coach links. The airport is known for its cleanliness and efficiency, providing a hassle-free experience for travelers. With friendly staff and affordable amenities, including food and drinks, it offers a pleasant introduction to Ukrainian culture.
Impressive modern airport with a wide variety of shops an playgrounds for children. Transit lines could be some more efficient but in general a very nice airport to spend some transfer time.

Clean and handy airport. Not too big but it is enough, there was no rush or crowded that everything works fine. Departure side toilets were perfectly clean but i can not say the same thing for arrival side toilets. Workers always wait for the last minute, namely you have to wait them but the process didn't delay because of that. Airport connection was easy and choices were skybus, train, Uber or taxi.

Great airport, all the basic amenities you need when traveling domestic or international, customs processing is average… Best way to get around inside Ukraine…

No frills airport where everything works smoothly and you don’t feel like cattle. Outbound is fast and easy, inbound is also quick but customs may check your luggage if large. Uber / Bolt available to pick you up from the upper floor.

Spacious place.. Many duty free shops... I needed the assistance to print out a boarding pass in transit zone. Not without some troubles, but finally I found it. All the staff was pretty friendly. Hope you"ll enjoy visiting it...

Modern and clean airport. Long lines, especially at mornings. Lot of space but lack of places where to eat. Staff is friendly and can speak English. Signs are logical and you can find you way around airpot.

The first and the biggest airport in capital city of Ukraine. The new terminals are Looong time under construction... and looks like they are not in a hurry. From the good things - they make a public bus and got connected by city with subway metro trains which is very helpful. Looking forward to see changes for a better soon.

Very easy airport. And clean. Have had several transits here. Always enjoyed a sandwich and soda or coffee here. Compared to Copenhagen airport, which is extremely expensive,i think Boryspil is just great. Only thing they need : Taking a bit more care of smokingroom. Otherwise I'm very satisfied with Boryspil airport. Nice prices. Viking🇩🇰

Sikorsky International Airport Kyiv

International airport
Sikorsky International Airport Kyiv, also known as Zhuliany, is one of the two airports in Kiev. It is conveniently located about 7km from the city center. The airport offers a variety of amenities including smoking rooms and a range of shopping options for tobacco, alcohol, food, and more. Travelers can also enjoy dining at cafes and restaurants within the airport.
a small airport but has it all also a smoked room and of course you buy tobacco booze beer candy food perfume yes you can buy everything in this airport and of course also coffee or tea at the restaurant. BUT REMEMBER TO BUY TOBACCO BEFORE YOU COME TO THE AIRPORT because TOBACCO costs more at the airport 100% expensive at the airport

Convenient small airport. Located almost in the city. But the staff is not brought up. Services are provided sluggishly and unfriendly. It resembles the gloomy atmosphere of the times of the USSR. Does not reach the organization of work to the level of international service provision.

The review is about terminal A, haven't visited the others. The terminal looks recently renovated, very clean and has sockets in the waiting hall. Ukrainian-language service was good (partially due to the fact that the airport was almost empty at 9:30 AM).
Tereza V — Google review
Small and cozy airport. The main advantage is that the airport is located in the city. From here you can easily get to anywhere in the city. Inside there are ATMs, terminals, cafes. On the downside, there are queues and no metro station.
Андрій Г — Google review
Rather mediocre place. Or not very helpful staff. Who gave me instruction that contradicted each other. Additionally, more stress was caused be the new updates of travel considerations. And staff won't try to go the extra mile to help. Moreover, wife coverage was available but no internet. Just exactly as if there were none of it at all. Toilets, passport control were good though. My suggestion is to arrive here 2.5-3 hours before your flight time. Just in case you will have to fill in the form, or take PCR test, or buy an FFP2 respirator mask rather than just a plain face mask.
TM — Google review
Small but comfortable airport. I like 2 things about it - it is situated in Kyiv and taxi is cheap to get here and there is Wog cafe where I always buy hotdogs and croissants. It is junk food but good for travellers. Duty shops are not ok, small range of goods , nothing to buy at all.
Natalie N — Google review
Small and cozy airport inside Kyiv city. No hassle, almost no lines to passport control. You can arrive less than 2 hours and still have plenty of time waiting. Few cafes availabile. Farewell!
Andrii B — Google review
Very convenient, only 15min cab ride from Kyiv centre .. easy check-in and lots of seating inside the airport. Some coffee & lunch options too, however probably better to get something to eat in city centre as pricey and quality not that great.
