Shopping mall
Shopping
Lombok Epicentrum Mall, situated in Mataram, is a vibrant shopping complex with three levels of diverse stores, casual dining options, and exhibits. This expansive mall hosts a wide array of national and international brands across its four floors, including popular names like Nike, Sketchers, Converse, Body Shop, and Adidas. In addition to retail outlets for clothing, shoes, beauty products, and electronics among others; the area surrounding the mall offers artificial city parks, water parks and monuments.
It's a very nice shopping mall. The toilets are also very clean! There are a lot of restaurants or fast foods to get international food options. There are many shops for all your needs as well as cinemas and Timezone! It's so much cheaper than Australia! We loved it.
DNA K — Google review
Big shopping mall with everything but a money changer. They have your big brands, a giant supermarket and lots of eateries and restaurants. Clean, well air-conditioned. Lots of parking just outside and indoor as well.
Sharina B — Google review
Epicentrum Mall in Mataram totally exceeded our expectations. It’s clean, air-conditioned (a huge bonus on hot Lombok days), and has a great mix of local and international shops. There’s a nice selection of restaurants—we found one that had vegan options. There’s also a cinema and plenty of space for kids to roam. It’s the perfect spot to cool off, grab a bite, and do a little shopping. Definitely the nicest mall we visited in Lombok!
Coconuts C — Google review
The biggest shopping mall in Mataram, Lombok! There are so many brands here — Uniqlo, Starbucks, Watsons, Puma, and more. It also has a nice food court with lots of choices. The prices are a bit high, but you can find almost everything you need here.
Shona L — Google review
Great shopping center in Lombok, good range of shops and clean inside. A nice place to escape the sun with the kids , also has arcade on top floor with bowling
Miss P — Google review
Lombok Epicentrum Mall offers a touch of European style right in the heart of Mataram. Clean, spacious, and well-organized — it has everything you might need: cafés, restaurants, supermarket, cinema, and plenty of international brands. A perfect place to relax, enjoy some air-conditioning, or have a coffee break after exploring Lombok. Elegant yet laid-back — just the right balance for island life. 🌿
Julia A — Google review
Good department store for enjoying shopping and dinners.
Chris C — Google review
One of the biggest and most complete malls in the city of Mataram, the name is Lombok Epicentrum Mall. Many choices of products and places for shopping and entertainment with the family. Visiting this place happened during the fasting month, so the appearance of many culinary places was closed or covered with cloth on the open side visible from the outside. It can be said that Lombok residents who are religious still carry out fasting. There is even a competition to read the holy verses of the Alquran and there is a jury or assessment team. Many residents sit casually in open areas or mall aisles to wait for the breaking of the fast. This mall is very large and complete, providing all the needs of customers and creating a pleasant shopping or entertainment experience. During the month of Ramadan, there are many special discounts for clothing products. Products from foreign and local brands are here. Plus, the wide selection of restaurants and entertainment makes it the ideal place to spend a whole day with family and friends. Overall, Lombok Epicentrum Mall is a must-visit destination for those looking for a complete and enjoyable shopping experience in Lombok.

Specialty Museums
The State Museum of West Nusa Tenggara, established in 1982, is located in Mataram, Lombok. It houses a diverse collection of over 7,000 traditional Indonesian arts and crafts from the tribes inhabiting Lombok and Sumbawa islands. The museum showcases a wide array of artifacts including wedding costumes, traditional looms, music instruments, ancient manuscripts, miniature models of the islands with intricate details, preserved alligator specimen and mystical objects.
Awesome museum! I learned so much about Nusa Tenggara Barat. Entry was only 14,000 IDR for two adults and two kids! Definitely check it out if you're around!

When I came here, we were the only visitors and the security seemed surprised. However, we were very warmly welcomed by the guide, security, and ticket officer. Fee: 5K A guided tour is available here and you can still ask around even if you did not choose the guided tour. They also provide information audios that you can access by scanning barcodes. Here, you can discover the buried history of lives and kingdoms in Nusa Tenggara Barat. You can see many artifacts and I must say that their collection is very impressive! (See pictures). One of my favorites is their Nekara collection and the old scripts! Overall, it is very well maintained and I really recommend this as a must-visit if you are in Mataram!

loved the museum and learning more about the history of Lombok, the artworks are very detailed which is beautiful. Mainly it is a showcase of the culture and tradition of Lombok. Some historical artefacts can be seen as well.
Rose — Google review
This is a really interesting place to learn about the culture and history of West Nusa Tengarra. You will learn about Lombok, Sumbawa and Bima cultures. The museum is very basic, and not all modern and well furnished, but the entrance fee is very cheap and they really have a lot of artifacts and archeological finds. Most but not all of the exhibits have english translation. There are only a few which don't. For me the most interesting part was the tablets and scriptures written in the various old scripts of Indonesia. It made me a little disappointed that they are not in use in the modern day as they are all very unique and interesting looking. All in all if you find yourself in Mataram and want to learn some history, it's a great place. It's very cheap for a ticket and it will take maximum 1 hour to look around everything.

Small provincial museum in central of Mataram. Looks adequate enough to exhibits its province historical aspects. It has an exclusive geology permanent exhibition, but it looks.... abandoned? Neither ACs nor TVs were turned on and no museum staff that posted there. Such a shame, since this exhibition is more educative than the main one. I hope ita staff could return that exhibition back to its former glory.
Bonie P — Google review
Located at the center city, easy to find the Museum. For the ticket for enter the museum is very cheap, for local only Rp. 4000 and for foreigner Rp. 7000 for each person The museum is not very big, there is a permanent exhibition from the geology, archaeology, history and culture about the West Nusa Tenggara. For everyone who want to know about West Nusa Tenggara history, visiting this museum is mandatory.

Mosque
Islamic Center NTB - Hubbul Wathan Great Mosque is a stunning blend of Arabian and Indonesian architectural styles, attracting visitors from all walks of life. The mosque offers a breathtaking view of Mataram and its surroundings, making it a popular destination for both Muslims and non-Muslims. Visitors are required to dress modestly when entering the mosque, and guided tours provide insight into the rich cultural significance of the site.
I prayed at the biggest mosque on Lombok on my first day-it's the main one on the island of a thousand mosques. The staff were super friendly and welcoming. After prayer, I got the chance to go up the minaret-amazing 360° views of Mataram. Such a peaceful and beautiful experience!
Ehab M — Google review
Nice mosque, need to visit if you come to Lombok. There is a guide who will bring you to the main hall. There is an escalator that will bring you to the main hall. You need to use sarong to go there, but don't worry as they provide it as well for visitors, and it's free of charge.
Rendy R — Google review
The Islamic Center in Lombok is an absolutely stunning mosque and truly worth a visit if you are on the island. I really loved spending time here – the architecture is beautiful, and the atmosphere is very peaceful, mashaAllah. We were warmly welcomed by a guide who explained the history, the construction, and many interesting stories about the mosque. It was a very enriching and memorable experience.
Enes R — Google review
Beautiful Masjid. Guide at the door showed us around and told us about the activities the masjid holds for kids, how long it took to build and other things. Interesting to find out a masjid big enough to hold 3000 people does not have a proper women’s section only a curtain to cover them was slightly disappointing. Overall, lovely experience visiting.

This is one of the largest mosques in West Nusa Tenggara, especially Lombok. Review Islamic Center NTB, Mataram Islamic Center NTB is a religious tourism icon in Mataram with magnificent and distinctive architecture. This mosque has a large dome, a 99 meter high tower, and beautiful Islamic ornaments. The atmosphere is comfortable for worship, with a large and cool prayer area. In addition, this place is also a favorite spot to take pictures, especially from the tower that offers a view of Mataram City from a height. Suitable for religious tourism as well as enjoying the beauty of architecture. 📌 if you need services to discuss making your travel intenar while in Lombok, or you want to discuss how to save money by being able to visit beautiful places (Lombok, Bali, Raja Ampat) you can contact me on Instagram: adzx_ak . Cozy and peaceful spot in the middle of the city, surprisingly cool and comfortable. Service is good and food comes fast, though the salted egg shrimp didn’t really taste like salted egg, and the soup portion felt too small for the price. Still a nice place to dine occasionally with friends or family.

Lembar Lombok was our fifth stop on our 28 day cruise, and we were fortunate to hire a private car that took us to the breathtaking Benang Stokel and Benang Kelambu waterfalls. Despite the rain that started while we were at the waterfall and continued throughout the day, our spirits remained high. After mentioning to our tour guide my wish to try authentic Indonesian food, he brought us to this remarkable restaurant. From the moment we pulled into the parking area, we were greeted with warmth and genuine hospitality. Staff immediately brought out umbrellas and carefully helped with our children, ensuring we were comfortable and cared for even before stepping inside. It quickly became clear this was not just any restaurant — it felt more like a beautiful resort, nestled in serene surroundings that took our breath away. We initially were seated in a large dining area, but then I noticed the charming bale huts overlooking lush rice fields and expressed a desire to sit there. To my surprise and delight, several staff members quickly brought umbrellas and personally helped move our entire group — including the kids — to these private huts. Their thoughtful attention made me feel truly valued and special. The peaceful atmosphere, combined with the stunning views, was pure magic. It was a perfect moment that I will treasure. Though I felt a bit guilty that they had to go out of their way to accommodate us, every member of the team remained gracious, kind, and attentive without ever making it feel like a burden. Their warmth and professionalism added so much to our experience. We ordered the family set meal, which was generous beyond expectation. My daughters were thrilled to see the satay included, while I was enchanted by the variety of dishes. The meal featured perfectly grilled fish served alongside a spicy water spinach salad, tender skewered satay, and crispy fried tofu. Everything came with fragrant steamed rice, fresh vegetables, and their incredible sambal — which I absolutely adored. I am obsessed with sambal, and honestly, if you gave me just sambal and rice, I’d be a happy camper. Every bite was bursting with authentic flavors and made me appreciate Indonesian cuisine even more. After the meal, my husband enjoyed a well-made cappuccino, and the kids happily sipped on hot chocolate. The entire dining experience was not just a meal but a heartfelt connection with the culture and people. The food was excellent, but what truly stood out was the kindness and genuine care of the staff. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable in every way possible. I can wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone seeking not only delicious traditional food but also an unforgettable, gracious dining experience.

Delicious and different to the other places we have been so far. Beef skewers out of this world. Nasi Goreng so delicious and different. Cap chay with shrimp. Most dishes we had contained shrimp and was spicy. Just up our alley. A must try!
Rehana L — Google review
It is not so clear to be seen in the night. However inside is huge in space and suitable to have a big group here. We are in the left indoor room not bothered by the outer music band. They offer me the delicious food, soup, dessert and fruit. They are polite as well. We have around 25 people here to have the dinner, and we are so joyful and feel very relaxing. Very recommend to have your own party here. Good space, good views could be appraised. Tonight, all the food is ok no problem.
Pang-Yun C — Google review
Traditional bale style sitting restaurant. Recommended for family and big group. The place is sitting right by a paddy field. The view is magnificent, letting you forgot the bustling and fast paced life for a while. Food is good, a lot of option, with a variety of dipping sambal too. Watch out foreigner, this sambal is seriously hot. Service is good although the drinks could be a little faster to prepare

Hamburger restaurant
Burger King offers a great alternative to other fast food options like KFC, with its delicious double cheeseburger and whopper boxes. Despite a minor mix-up in the order, the single cheeseburger box still impressed with its great taste. The restaurant provides quick service, maintains cleanliness, and offers reasonable prices. It's an ideal choice for those seeking familiar flavors while living abroad. Additionally, Burger King is located in a prime mall that houses various international brands.
It's located in the shopping mall. Clean and inviting. We ordered some fried chicken. It comes with a serve of rice! It was very nice. The meal was ready very quickly.

Worst food ever. Not even a sauce on the fish burger, french fries not crispy at all. Tiny portions, but you pay a lot for this rubbish!

I went to KFC last week and it was awful compared to this Burger King. We ordered a double cheese burger box and whopper box. Unfortunately, the cashier did my order wrong so I got a single cheeseburger box, but it still tasted great. Both burgers, chicken and fries were good quality, hot and tasty. Recommend going here instead of KFC.

Steak house
If you're in Mataram and have a craving for steak, you should definitely check out ELF BELLY. I stumbled upon this gem thanks to a tempting buy one get one offer on their steak menu, which was too good to resist! As a beef enthusiast, I opted for the premium beef steaks—though the Mandalika option wasn’t available during my visit. To satisfy my sweet tooth, I also indulged in their chocolate cake for dessert. The experience was delightful from start to finish.
I was just passing by and saw a billboard that said buy 1 get 1 for their steak menu, so I decided to stop by and give it a try. Because I’m a beef lover, I ordered the premium beef steak for both , the Mandalika steak wasn’t available at the time. I also ordered a chocolate cake for dessert. So far, everything tastes great! I ordered my steak medium well, and yup it came out just right. Flavor-wise, I’d say it’s really satisfying👌 The place is clean, smells nice, and has a bit of a luxury vibe✨ Ah yeah they also give me welcome bread and i like😁 Definitely recommend!
Fitri T — Google review
We ordered two beef import steak and one zuppa soup as the appetizer with Kyoto jasmine tea as the beverage. The food are delicious with proper plating. On top of all, the service is superb and they treat costumer very nicely. The atmosphere is very comfortable for dinner or lunch. For ppl craving steaks in Mataram I’d totally recommend trying this place!
Brahmanda S — Google review
The staff here go above and beyond to make every guest feel welcome. They greet you with genuine smiles, take the time to understand what you like, and offer thoughtful recommendations without ever feeling intrusive. The service feels polished yet relaxed attentive, but never forced. Throughout the meal, they move quietly but efficiently, anticipating your needs before you even have to ask. It’s the kind of service that makes you feel cared for rather than simply served.
Dini P — Google review
Love the food, love the service, love the place atmosphere. Service is really good, staffs were really friendly, food and drinks came pretty quick. But, there's one downside. Place has calm atmosphere and it got ruined by the blender sound, maybe try putting the blender inside the kitchen so the blender sound wont disturb the customer.
Hisham — Google review
Having visited several times this year, I feel the quality of the food is consistently maintained and even improved, no doubt! One thing I highlight here is the service, which is always satisfactory. I highly recommend it!
Anas R — Google review
I really needed a good steak and found Elfbelly on my travels and it was great and very tasty. Very nice place, good prices and service, and the chocolate cake for desert topped it off. Unfortunately 8 hours later I became sick and spent the night with a twisted stomach that felt like I was being hit with a baseball bat, and you know the rest with the bathroom. It was a mild food poisoning as I didn't pray for death and perhaps I have a weak stomach but these are the facts. Maybe it was the steak, or the veggies or mashed potato, or the ice or the cake, but I think it may have been the black pepper sauce as it didn't taste like black pepper sauce, who knows but it was something in that meal. Plus I ordered a rib eye steak and what I got was not a rib eye and it was about 20% fat and gristle. I've had 2 rib eye from my supermarket each week for over 20 years and so know exactly what a rib eye steak is, the best cut, nice and thick, 2 cm or more, with less than 5% fat and gistle, but I got a 1 cm thick steak that was not in anyway the best cut. That was my experience and my honest conservative opinion. If I didn't get a mild case of food poisoning and spend the night rything in pain I would have just given a short review and 5 stars even though the steak wasn't what I ordered. Pity, as I do love meat and it was a nice restaurant 😓
Michael S — Google review
And then comes the real highlight the steak. Elfbelly’s meat quality is exceptional each cut is handled with the respect it deserves. I ordered steak, cooked medium, and it arrived perfectly seared, with a caramelized crust that gave way to a soft, buttery center. Every bite was full of rich, natural beef flavor that needed no heavy seasoning to shine. The chef clearly understands balance the steak stood out on its own, complemented beautifully by fresh sides and house made sauces that never overpowered the dish.
Azizah N — Google review
Okay, I have to be honest when I saw how gorgeous this place was, I almost walked out thinking I couldn't afford it! But seriously, Elfbelly is a game changer. The lighting, the comfy seats, the service it feels like a fancy spot, but my dinner for two cost less than expected. It's now my secret weapon for 'looking expensive' without going broke. Definitely try their signature dessert!

Sop Buntut Ibu Hong - Different kind of Oxtail Soup! This oxtail soup in particular have a very thick broth. There’s no vegetables in it only huge chuck of oxtail. With added sambal & lime the broth turned into a very refreshing soup! My guess the oxtail was cooked for a very long time, the fat and the tallow was rendered into the soup making it very thick and hearty. The meat on the bone are unbelievably soft and tender too! For you who like soup dishes, this is a must visit place. The soup price are a bit expensive at IDR 100k per portion but its worth it. Overall experience was good. Good food with nice homey place.

Homestyle oxtail soup depot. The oxtail is tender and savory, with a broth that’s fresh and flavorful.

The greatest food I discovered in Lombok where it delivers the best oxtail soup, thumbs up for this OG oxtail soup joint! No question you gotta order their OG oxtail soup. Bang! The broth was spot on! Very rich in flavor & the soup was a slightly gravy-ish texture which brings more character to the plate. The oxtail given in a bowl was a very2 generous portion, u can find 3-4 oxtail bones in a portion. And well this goes very well with hot steamed rice, an excellent dish at mid day!! Price wise it was totally worth it, 80k for a portion of the oxtail soup, man, take my money!

One of the best oxtail soups I've ever had. Period. Soup is so thick with collagen that you can just eat that with rice. It's umami, salty, a bit sweet, it's just perfect.

Mataram Mall is the largest shopping center in Lombok, located in the central area of Mataram town. It features popular international fast food chains like McDonald's and KFC, as well as local restaurants, boutiques, and a supermarket called 'HERO' catering to foreign residents and tourists.
The place is located like 1 hour driving from the harbor , big parking lot ,public toilets, easy to found . They have almost every thing you need … the little tiny thing until big stuff like mattress and fridges .. inside the mall you will found fast food , coffe places , cloths store , phone stores .. everything you want .. highly recommended if your looking to do some shopping .. in only one place .. also atm outside and even do they have Mac Donald and kfc .. of course sturbicks .. amazing !

I saw if some spot still exist like macdonald, tiara supermarket, KFC, begibung restaurant. The building still very nice but unfortunately not so crowded like before. in this place I found something interesting like bread corner, playground, also massage chair automatic gimme felt relaxing for my body.

One of the biggeset mall in Lombok but can't compare with the malls in Jakarta. It's quite small and old. There are some shops kiosk on the middle. Their electric cables out on the floor. That's very dangerous for the customers. Safety first in all shopping centers. Other than that , you can find many shops for foods, clothes , technology, optic and so on.

Fast food restaurant
KFC Mataram Mall Lombok is a popular restaurant chain located in Mataram. It offers a variety of food options, including their famous fried chicken served in buckets. They also have combo meals and sides available. The service at this particular location can be slow, with only one cash register open during my visit. The wait time per person was around 15-20 minutes, which is not ideal for a fast food restaurant. However, the chicken itself was delicious as always.

Here just for a quick breakfast. Service were too slow. Only 1 cash register opened when I was there. Waiting time per person was 15-20min long, not fast for fast food restaurant. Chicken was delicious like usual. Mango float still the best drink here for me.

They only tell us that the price of a package is include a CD after you've paid. And the CD worth 40k rupiahs. Felt like a scam to me. They kindda forced sell the CD. Very dissapointed on that. We, as a customer, should be able to choose whether we want CD or not. Or,...if they want to include a CD in a package don't make it like we pay for it. Just hide it in the price of the food. As you know, we go to KFC not only because of the food (I believe there are many fried chicken stall has a competing taste with lower price almost everywhere), but for the whole KFC experience and bad experience is not what we looking for.

Super bad experience. Food serving took longer than half an hour. It is not fast at all. Also there was a promotion for this month, it was clearly shown on the banner. But when I got the order, the extra item was not provided with the reason being we need to say we want that promotion WHEN ORDERING. The attitude was so annoying and disappointing.

I ordered Ayam Kampung Kremes, Olah-Olah Pakis and Ayam Kampung Rica-Rica. For the Ayam Kampung Kremes, the texture was soft and easy to bite. The seasoning was thick which made the chicken very flavorful with every bites. While the olah-olah pakis, a Lombok traditional cuisine, suprises me! The coconut milk was thick but wasn't too overbearing. And there's some sweetness to the Olah-olah pakis. In essence, it is really recommended! Lastly, we ordered ayam rica-rica. It was also really good because the chicken was soft and the seasoning was spicy but not too salty. Overall, really recommend the place. But be warn, since we ordered Ayam Kampung the cost of 1 chicken was around 40k. Also, not shown in the picture, but we ordered Nasi Goreng too and to be honest, I don't recommend it. Their nasi goreng was tastless and it's like you're just eating rice. Also their Mie Goreng is not recommended because there was no flavor at all - totally bland! I gave 4 stars because their chicken was super good and the flavor suits my tastebud! SO I ONLY RECOMMEND ORDER THE CHICKEN!

Awesome duck! If you're in Mataram, you should not miss this place. We ate here thrice during our 5 day-stay. They have different kinds of sambal on the menu (a whole page dedicated to them). Favorite is the sambal matah. Just make sure to have mouthwash after as it is very onion-y. We recommend that you eat with your hands for the full experience. Service staff are nice and courteous. Place is a bit dim, would be nice if they can impovr lighting. :)

Nestled in the heart of West Lombok, Hajat's Restaurant is a delightful culinary gem that has been cherished by locals and visitors alike for decades. This charming eatery, which first opened its doors back in the 1980s, offers a nostalgic experience with dishes that evoke fond memories. The star of the menu is undoubtedly their Gulai, a rich curry soup infused with coconut flavors that keeps patrons coming back for more.
My family's favourite satay restaurant. We always come here when craving for some satay. Food came pretty quick, but the goat meat is a little hard. The place atmosphere is ok.

The goat satay is goat tier! 🐐 I'm usually not a fan of goat satay but this one is really tasty. Not even a hint of goat odor. Also really soft and easy to chew. Big portion for 10 pieces per portion. Even the chicken satay cannot beat the goat one. Price was also really reasonable for a goat.

Nostalgic, the first time I came to this place was in the 1980’s with my parents, we used to live in Lombok, I was about 6 years old…it was just a small joint, serving the best Gulai I have ever tasted in my live. Pantai Ampenan, located in Jalan Pabean, Ampenan, Kota Mataram, is a popular spot for locals to gather and spend time with friends. It offers a variety of activities such as enjoying local cuisine like ikan bakar and jagung bakar with sweet and spicy sauce while watching the sunset or having kopi hitam. This is a good place in Lombok, especially Mataram City, to catch the sunset. If you are lucky, you can also see the beautiful Mount Agung (yes! Right! The one in Bali Island) from here. Enjoy this stunning view while eating local food, chit chat with your family or friends, or maybe you're interested in fishing too.

I went to this beach several times. In the morning for light sport, fresh air, enjoy the beauty of the old buildings and the busy-lazy activities all around the beach in the morning, in the evening to watch the sun as it goes down to the horizon and of course the various culinary delights around the old city area. One of my favorite culinary is nasi kuning (tumeric rice) Ampenan. Best nasi kuning in mataram. 👍 Even though I've enjoyed my times there, i really think that the beach needs to cleaned up, tidied up n better laid up, but i guess it'll up to the local government to make it happen.

A kind of multifunction spacious area. It has garden, stage for event, playground, a town square, and space for kiosks. Located in the heart of Mataram City, people gather here to have fun with their loving ones, bring kids to play, exercise, or have a meal or snacking. Nice place to visit, especially in the evening.

Kopi Kamila Risoles Coffee Shop is a cozy and inviting spot where you can indulge in delectable desserts and top-notch coffee. On Saturday evenings, the place comes alive with live music, making it an ideal destination for a fun night out with friends. The menu features a signature dish - the mouthwatering mozarella - that comes highly recommended. Additionally, their coffee beverages, particularly the 'Iced Lemon Coffee' and 'Iced Aren Coffee,' are not to be missed.
A great place for hanging out, but the price is a little bit high for students

Love the super cheap menu but the ladies room's toilet seat is broken, very uncomfortable, also it hit and hurt my back when I was using it. There is also an unpleasant smell wafting around the outdoor seatings, making me lose my appetite. I hope management tends to these problems ASAP. It's actually a very neat place to hang out so please keep it that way.

L P — Google review
If you're driving between Mataram City and West Lombok, it's pretty hard to miss the futuristic-looking Tugu Mataram (Mataram Monument). This towering structure is one of the most iconic landmarks in the area, and it’s more than just a photo stop, it represents the identity and pride of the region. During the day, the monument stands tall with its sleek, modern design like silver and blue panels with clean lines and decorative patterns that reflect Sasak cultural elements. It almost looks like a high-tech space tower! The base area is surrounded by manicured gardens and a walkway, which makes it a nice spot to take a break or snap some photos. A really interesting feature is right at the top of the monument is a symbolic pearl. This isn’t just for decoration it's a tribute to Lombok’s reputation as a major pearl producer in Indonesia. The pearl represents beauty, natural wealth, and the elegance associated with the island. It’s a thoughtful detail that adds deeper meaning to the monument. At night, the whole structure comes alive with vibrant LED lights in shifting colors like green, purple, red, and blue. It completely transforms the mood, turning the Tugu into a glowing landmark that can be seen from far away. Locals and travelers often gather around to take photos or just enjoy the lights, especially on weekends. While you can’t go inside the monument, it's still a great place to experience a bit of local culture blended with modern architecture. Sometimes there are street vendors around, so you can grab some local snacks too. In short, Tugu Mataram is a must-see if you're in the area like super eye-catching by day, glowing by night, and topped with a pearl that reminds you of what makes Lombok special.

Batu Payung is a stunning beach surrounded by cliffs and known for its massive, uniquely shaped rock that attracts many visitors seeking the perfect photo opportunity. Located just 10 minutes away from Tanjung Aan Beach in the south of Lombok, this natural vertical stone was formed through erosion over a thousand years ago. The site offers an oddly beautiful landscape, especially during sunset, making it a popular spot for photography enthusiasts.
Great spots for sunsets. And no people during the day. Love it!
Aman S — Google review
This sea stack no longer exists unfortunately, we think it has naturally eroded over time. We trekked over a headland to where it said it was on Google maps and there was nothing there. However, there was still a beautiful beach but just so you are aware unlike we were that there is longer a tall sea formation there to see!

Unique formation of one huge rock. Very very challenging to get here by boat and by hiking a hill and down. But worth the effort to get beautiful shots. There are small children who offers their photography skill and service and trus me they are so good! You might wanna use their service and get lots of good pictures for a small amount of kindness. They are also funny and talkative.

Amazing Umbrella Stone. Many tourist came by boat We made it per feet. Exhausted, but happy!
Juergen K — Google review
The Batu rock (Umbrella shape famous for photos has crumbled down). The track gets very hard and tricky when hiking up and down the hill (if you follow Google maps). You get cut up big time by thorns and nettles, not worth it. Park your scooter up and pay 10,000 but then walk around the big hill to the end of the island to see a Gili Island. We did that on the way back and was annoyed at ourselves for going the long way the first time. In all honestly, it's now not worth the time...But see for yourselves.

If you're on the hunt for a delightful culinary experience in East Java, look no further than Tahu Tek Ronggolawe. Nestled conveniently along the main road, this charming eatery specializes in a traditional dish that features tofu as its star ingredient. Each serving is generously topped with crunchy bean sprouts, crispy crackers, and a rich peanut sauce that can be customized to your spice preference—mild or fiery hot!
For me the name is unique .. so I want to taste typical culinary food from East Java. The place is in the overhang of the store, side of the main road. The main ingredient is tofu.. there are peanuts, bean sprouts, crackers, then doused with chili sauce. Spicy or medium is your choice of taste. Prices are very affordable and the service is satisfying.

The place is wide and clean, the seller is very friendly and kind. The price of the tahu tek is IDR 13,000. They give you a lot of bean sprouts, egg, tofu, lontong and peanut sauce. Balinese restaurant
Warung Bu Suta is a popular spot in Mataram, Lombok, offering delicious Balinese cuisine. The place is known for its wide variety of pork dishes displayed in glass cases. Visitors can enjoy nasi campur komplit, featuring a full plate of white rice and various pork dishes. The satay and spicy sambal matah are highly recommended by locals.
Warung Bu Sutha - Babi Guling! I am not really sure where babi guling comes from but, you can find this kind of dish in Bali. The differences is there’s sweet marinated pork in this nasi babi guling which are really soft and tender. They only have one menu and you can choose whether you want pig intestines and innards or not. Overall experience was nice. The food was tasty and the food and place was very traditional.
Edwin Y — Google review
Place not to crowd when I visited. Theres is another food option besides the babi guling. Compared to Babi Gulingn Bali the taste a bit different. But the pork skin is quite thick. Price is reasonable. Overall okay..

Local Warong for Balinese Babi Guling. Not for the average traveller! A hidden spot in the Balinese Area in Lombok. This place is more renowned with locals. However, their babi guling is so good. Their nasi campur comes with everything. Crispy pork skin, babi guling and sate as well as side of vegetables. Really recommend if you want to try something local.
Lucas L — Google review
Saw this place recommended on some travelers website. Not difficult to find, quite easy access in the back alley. However the dining environment was below expectation. Most probably because Lombok is Muslim majority base island unlike Bali which is Hindu majority. The pork is also below expectation, dry and tasteless. The sauce is also too spicy that my friends didn’t finish their portion. Also they don’t speak any other languages beside BI, luckily I speak BM so I could order with minimal Malay mix Indonesian language.
Sibyl T — Google review
43,000 = RM14 and it’s reasonable for plate of rice with assorted porky meats & fried goodies. The keropok was yummy as well. Place is a bit worn down but the food is great! Super worth trying if you’re into babi guling 😋

best pork dish in town. Its not on the main road, but easy to find. The taste was good, the place clean and have parking lot. It taste like babi guling / suckling pig in Bali, with few different toppings.

Yummy Balinese dish in Lombok! Went here to have lunch or dinner when in Mataram. Many choices of pork dishes you can see in their glass display that will make you amaze and drool at the same time. Try their nasi campur komplit, they will give you a full plate of white rice and pork in different kind of dishes. What I like most is the satay and the super spicy sambal matah. Hot to the bones! According to local Balinese in Lombok, Warung Bu Suta is the best amongst other warungs. It opens in the morning until in the evening at 9, while others open only up to afternoon. The place is quite hidden. It is located in Balinese enclave in Mataram City, near to a big pura (Hindu temple) in Selaparang. Price is a bit pricey but I think it’s worth because the portion is also big. Nasi campur komplit is 35K. Nasi campur special is 25K.

Surrounded by lush Manggis trees and green grass, the park features a swimming pool at its center and a temple nearby. Renamed Mayura Park Temple in 1866, it offers a blend of nature, religion, and history.
This is worth a visit. There is a 20000 rupiah cover charge. There were people playing traditional music which was beautiful to hear. Lots of locals exercising around the lake
Julieanne A — Google review
Maybe at one point in time this was a lovely hindu temple and place of worship. At this moment, it is far from that. The price to get in is based on an arbitrary system, some previous reviewers recently paid 20,000 idr while we paid 50,000 idr per person. Many of the temple structures are under construction. The walking path is lovely. However, they have chickens/cocks and are conducting cock fights on the property and betting on them. They are then disposing of the losing cocks. Not sure this should be done in a temple facility, just keep in mind you're better off going to other temples if you're looking for an actual spiritual experience.
Sam D — Google review
At the entrance you have to pay an entrance fee, in our case 20k/person, however others say the price is completely arbitrarly - some pay 10 while others pay 50k The tour is quite decent, however not all facts may be correct. In the end you are asked for a „voluntary donation“ for the temple and have to hand the cash to the guide since the priest is surprisingly not here. (after telling the priest is only here for special occasions) However if you donate to little you may be confronted with guilt trapping and sayings like: normally the tour guide gets 50k anyways. Summa summarum: I do not know who to trust there, in my opinion it looks more like scamming gullible tourists.
EJ F — Google review
20k per person, some people will try and offer you to be your guide. We still enjoyed the park without the guide but we already knew a few things about the culture. Nice park but no must see!
V K — Google review
Quiet and serene visit to this Hindu temple, formerly belonging to the Hindi king of Lombok. We were the only visitors at the time paying 20K IDR each to look around. The main water temple in the middle of the lake was closed but we walked all the way around. Don’t miss out on the separate temples on the far north side which are enclosed within walls, but accessible through a gate.
Christopher S — Google review
Good place to learn about different religions and temples, the entrance is 20,000. The only bad thing is that the tour guide asks tourists for tips.

Taliwang Irama Grilled and Fried Chicken is a popular dish made with chicken, preferably free-range, that is grilled halfway before being tenderized and dipped in a spicy sauce of garlic, chili, and shrimp paste. The dish is recommended to be eaten with hands to fully savor the flavors. It can be enjoyed at an affordable price per person when paired with rice, plecing, and a beverage.
Not many people know that this is the first Ayam Taliwang. It is the authentic one. 1 portion of small chicken. You can choose the spicy chicken or not spicy one. Then You get 2 kind of sauce, sweet and spicy one. They have plecing kangkung also. Its taste great. 1 portion cost around 50-60k.

Might not look it but their ayam taliwang tasted so good. Tried their spicy and non-spicy one. The spicy one really has a great kick to it. Had it taken away but it was still delicious afterwards.

Tasty chicken... Love the sauce... It's hot and tasty!!! It's very recommended... The place is small but the service is good and they have a sink to wash your hands!!! Btw it's very recommended to eat the food with your hands, to really taste the chicken's meat and the sauce when you mix it up to eat... The recommendation is to eat it with its original recipe and that's the hot stuff!! But if it's not to your liking you can order it with low, medium or not hot at all! Btw you can order the chicken's satay or chicken meat skewered, they used the inside of the chicken and dont forget to use the sauce!! I recommend you came before 08.00 PM because usually the satay always the first to all gone... Just don't forget to ordered the whole package!

We loved the tasty food, ayam taliwang, beberuk, plecing, everything was awesome. It will cost you around 60K per person for 1 portion ayam taliwang + rice + plecing + beverage. Pura Lingsar, located in Desa Lingsar, Narmada, is a unique multi-denominational site of worship that holds significance for Hindu, Muslim, and Wektu Telu followers. Originally built in 1714 with animist influences, the temple now welcomes people of various faiths to pray for prosperity and well-being. The complex features ornate shrines, tranquil gardens, lily ponds, and a sacred spring.
A totally unique experience if you get the right guide ( I’ll show a photo of him 😉)…. If you go with this guide you will get a complete tour of this Sacred place including a hidden meditation cave & finishing with a ritualistic bath in spring water from head to toe at the end 🙏

Pleasant place to go even if you only want to have a picnic on the premises. On arrival, just tell the guide you don’t need a tour (if you don’t want to pay a fee). Best say: Sudah = I have already seen it. Don’t forget to bring a sarong with you if you want to visit the temple itself.

We were lucky enough to visit the temple complex on a Hindu festival day. We met many lovely local people who were paying their respects to their ancestors at the temple. The multi faith complex represents the many different cultures and religions found on Lombok. Although the grounds are rather unkempt it is definitely worth visiting. The local guide was very friendly and knowledgeable.

Not much to see, but it's nice. You don't have to pay anything. Refuse the seatbelt; nobody wears them inside. Park further away; there's plenty of space, which will save you from paying for a fake parking lot. And be slightly aggressive with the fake guide who isn't ashamed to use a sacred place to scam tourists.

The Temple dates back to the XVII century. You should be able to take great pictures of various portals. The Temple has a sacred pond, and your guide will try to lure out an eel that lives there. You might be chased by peddlers, so beware ;)

Parking your bike is 5000 IDR. You have to wear some kind of clothes around your waste if you want to go into the temple area itself and one tends to donate 20000 IDR to borrow them but is not compulsory to donate.

Nature & Parks
Parks
Pura Narmada, located approximately 10km east of Cakranegara in Narmada, is a Hindu temple built around 1805 to resemble the Gunung Rinjani and Segara Anak. The well-maintained gardens surrounding the temple feature pools and a lake. Visitors can witness traditional dance performances on special occasions. Additionally, nearby Gandari village offers an authentic experience of Balinese Hindu traditions with its own temple called Kaweri.
Experience the mystical beauty of Bali in Lombok. Visit Pura Kaweri, Narmada! Gandari is a small Balinese village occupied by less than 100 families who mostly are a part of the Narmada Temple guardian community. The people of Gandari consistently keep practicing the ancient traditions of Balinese Hindu in their daily life. As most of the Balinese Hindu villages, Gandari also has its own temple called Kaweri 'means; The Sacred River'. . Situated right next door to the Hindu historical site Narmada Water Palace, Pura Kaweri maybe just a small temple compared to many other temples in Lombok but is quite an interesting place to visit. Surrounded by lush green vegetations, hundreds of years old Banyan trees, scenic rice terraces and number of springwater pools, Pura Kaweri offers true essences of a peaceful natural retreat. If you have ever thought of finding a place in Lombok that looks a bit like the Tirta Empul in Bali, then Pura Kaweri is the perfect match to your search.

Located just down from the main road. A beautiful place especially in the morning. Because it is a temple, please be respectful when visiting the area. There are some banyan trees which make the area looks cool and mythical. Keep walking to the rice field, the view is pretty just before you walk into the inner gate. There are some ponds and berugags to sit and relax. The place has so much water. Local can bath in the running pond covering themselves in yellow clothes that have been provided near by. So clear, fresh and cool. There are some local selling food & drink in the parking

A temple of Hindu at Mataram city with ancient building and famous with holy water

The property is huge but extremely ill managed. Most of the park was just overgrown grass. The museum was closed and so was most of the other small temples on the property. Wasn’t much to see or appreciate considering the entry fee. Would recommend to give this one a miss

Beautiful temple with garden and ponds. Has a lot of gazebos for visitors. Scenic view of paddy field in the background. Though small, it's one of the most beautiful temple in Lombok

Was forced to take a tour guide which was an extra cost we didnt know. He wasn't even giving accurate information. Entry fee is cheap though. And scenery is nice here. Had a pleasant walk around.

Taliwang Khas Pak Udin

Chicken restaurant
If you're looking for a delicious chicken dish, head to Taliwang Khas Pak Udin in Lombok. This simple restaurant offers an array of chicken dishes, from ayam taliwang (fried chicken cooked with spices) to plecing kangkung (a type of vegetable in a coconut milk and curry sauce). The entrée prices are reasonable, so you can taste each dish without breaking the bank.
Drive all the way from Sengigi to this place for their Ayam Taliwang and it did not disappoint. The place is not very lit sonits easy to miss or drive past so be on the lookout. Coming to the food, we ordered Ayam Taliwang, Pelicing Kangkung, Chicken Glizzard Satay along with rice and Es Teh. They also give you another sambal with raw egg plant mixed and some curry for free. Ayam Taliwang was the winner. The chicken are fully grown ones but somewhere in between baby chicks and adults. This means the bones are soft enough to chew and flesh absorbs all the flavor. You get one whole chicken in one portion. Pelicing Kangkung was very good but I've had better one in another restaurant. But I would definitely would return for the ayam kaliwang.
Sakthi G — Google review
Terrible, it's not an adult chicken more like the size of a sparrow, and it's expensive for the tiny portions! we ate here then had to go somewhere else to eat, the whole sparrow had less meat than a normal chicken wing! Don't waste your time and money
Tori — Google review
Both grilled and fried ayam taliwang taste well-seasoned. However, my favorite is the grilled one. It has a softer bite paired with a sweeter taste than the latter. It comes with a spicy dipping sauce and beberuk. Beberuk is free, and you can ask for more if you like it. The place has two floors and is spacious. It has tables that can serve up to 40 people. However, the parking lot is limited along the roadside near the building. Prices are standard. I spent IDR 94K for two people. Additionally, QRIS payment is available without an extra charge.
Ian — Google review
Finally get to try this ayam taliwang! I have to say it’s one of the best. Their chicken is very smollll tho💗 Thank God it wasn’t that packed when we came here
Dian R — Google review
Went there early as it opened. 4.30. Staff are very friendly. Menu is pretty straight forward. Talked to locals who were eating there and they told me this is definitely the best place to eat Taliwang chicken. I tried both fried and grilled both good. However if suggest you also try the grilled fish. Awesome. Crisp skin and moist flesh.
Craig T — Google review
The spiciness wasn't as I expected. If you have a moderate tolerance for spiciness, you'll surely enjoy eating here. If you're a spicy food enthusiast, I recommend ordering their spicy chicken, it's a real palate pleaser. What makes this place interesting is that they cook the chicken in various ways, although the size of the chicken is relatively small. Overall, I recommend dining here.
Andra S — Google review
Not as spicey as I thought but this meet my expectation. I just can't bear more spicy chicken for that say. I think if you want more spicy food, you can order chicken plencingan menu while I order a grilled one. The chicken taste is fine, proper salt and when you chip in to the taliwang sauce, PERFECT! Their plecing also fresh and not too spicy. The chicken is consider small, but it may because the typical free-range chicken in Lombok for real is small, maybe not suitable for those who loves more fatty chicken. Location is surrounded by old buildings, market area in Lombok city. Can find easily through google map. Parking area is available but limited. And it is paid too. The prices of the food is moderate. Overall experiences are good! And would love to comeback someday.
Saidah H — Google review
One of the legends in Lombok Culinary! The bery strategic place mix with the authentic taste! Worth to try and make sure you tolerate the spiciness!

Bakso Widodo

Bakso restaurant
Diner
Bakso Widodo is a must-visit culinary gem nestled in the bustling heart of Lombok. This eatery specializes in bakso, Indonesia's beloved meatball dish, served alongside traditional yellow and white noodles and an array of fresh vegetables. What sets Bakso Widodo apart is its unique twist on side dishes; patrons can enjoy fried peanuts, lontong (rice cake), or kerupuk (crispy chips) to complement their meal.
Located in the main street of busy road in City Center of Lombok, this cullinaire is worth to visit. They have a very soft meatball and homemade noodle glass which made this meatball has their own signature. For a bowl of meatball will cost you IDR 18k. No other options of meatball because they only have one menu, but they have drink options. When I visit this restaurant, there are some available seats with long shared table. Services also went great, we did not need to wait too long to be served et Voila! The meatball is ready. Gmaps were accurate and easy to follow. Parking area is limited, since it located directly in main street but no worries you can get helped by the parker.

Nice place to stop for some lunch or dinner. We decided to try as we were staying close by. It's a busy area just located on the main street. Price is good and so is the soup!

A month ago we were staying in Mataram for one day and when we walked by we were hesitating to go in here for lunch. One of the people working there told us to try a small piece of meat so we did. It tasted good so we decided to eat our lunch here. It was my first time eating bakso and the last month I tried more bakso's on multiple islands like Sumba and Flores but I didn't find any other place with better bakso than at Widodo. It's simply delicious!

Comfort food! The best meatball in mataram! The taste of the meatball was so rich, would be more delicious if add some condiments like sauce, ketchup, vinegar all in once🫶
Alvionita C — Google review
meat ball soup ; one of the best in town but unfortunately the eating space is too narrow, hot and uncomfortable
Made S — Google review
yum! very simple and tasty dish. portions are small, just like their prices. If you eat a lot just order more after finishing your dish!
Ivan S — Google review
Nostalgic place for me. Bakso is a national dish here in Indonesia. Bakso or meatball traditionally served with yellow and white noodle along with some vegetable (s). In Lombok, every bakso stall have several side dishes to enjoy with your bakso. You can add fried peanuts, lontong (rice cake), or kerupuk (chips). The sauce also are bit different with the one in Java, they use tomato sauce instead of regular tomato-chilli sauce in Java.

Cafe
ROLLPIN. Casual Smart Dine offers superb food, excellent service, and a welcoming ambience. The staff goes above and beyond to make special occasions memorable, creating a feeling of being part of the family. The tenderloin steak is highly recommended, as well as the delicious ayam sambal ijo and biryani. The restaurant provides a calming environment with beautiful trees and the sound of a running river, making it perfect for those seeking a quiet place to dine.
I ordered Rosella Tea (25,000), Tahu Walik (22,000), Pain au Choco Almond (28,000), and Vanilla Latte (35,000). The taste of both the food and drinks was quite good. The atmosphere here is also very comfortable for working, with a decent Wi-Fi connection. However, the indoor AC could use some improvement, and some soft background music would make the experience even more pleasant.

This place has long earned the love of its visitors — and for good reason. The warm, relaxed atmosphere is still very much alive, and the staff are as welcoming and attentive as ever. You can feel that it was and still is a popular spot with a special charm. A walk along the waterfront adds to the experience, especially if you appreciate the beauty in simple things.
