Not sure why there is a hotel recommendation. But Dongzha Wuzhen is a scenic area by itself not hotel. Anyway, there are two part to Wuzhen Dong Zha. and Xi Zha. Dong Zha more of a cultural and historical walk. Said that they are the only original living there. Very clean and well organised. Ticket to enter some of the museums. Even the textile place is just for people to take photos. Overall, I would say it quite a nice walk only about 2.5-3km walk from entrance to exit. I joined the tour so it was nice coz’ she explained it without explaining you learning nothing and just feel empty walking on the street

A very pleasant part of our trip was Wuzhen Dongzha. The old village allows to imagine how people lived in China a couple of centuries ago. The shops are quite expensive for usual prices, I would suggest not buying anything here as it's merely a tourist trap with exaggerated prices. Nonetheless, the architecture, nature and flair of the place are worth a having a look.

Overall the place is so nice. It was raining, but people are still enjoying under the hot and humid shower. But because it pours in the afternoon. The night view making the looks so good. Even though it was a weekday, already quite pack. So if you really want to come, please come on weekdays. You cannot imagine for weekend. If you want the quiet raw heartbeat of a 1300-year-old water town that gives you history straight no chaser come to 东栅. Five stars for being beautifully human and unapologetically authentic.

Nice Historic Village. Suggest reserving half a day for this. There's lighting at night, and some people stay overnight. Lots of stalls serving local delicacies and home cooked meals. Can go for a boat ride down the canals which gives a different perspective.
