Shopping Malls
Mitsui Outlet Park KLIA is a must-visit for shopping enthusiasts, offering premium goods at discounted prices. Located just 10 minutes away from KL International Airport Terminal 1, this fairly large outlet mall features a wide range of shops selling apparel, jewelry, watches, footwear, luxury accessories, sports equipment, and gadgets. The outlet is particularly popular for its discounted footwear and sports equipment. Additionally, visitors can enjoy various food outlets and a food court within the mall's premises.
A Place with Decent Discounts If one had to go all the way to Sepang to go this factory outlet type mall, he would expect some pretty good discounts. I’d say this mall would pretty much live up to it. They have quite a number of the popular brands with some discounts going up to a genuine 70%. There are also places for lunch and dinner, so it’s a self contained location. Few people know about this location though. There are free shuttles from KLIA to this mall. Most people don’t even know it exists. If somehow they were made more aware, this mall would be a lot more crowded. This is a nice place to go. Wide aisles, places to sit etc, it is a nice place to chill and do some shopping. Definitely will be back for the great discounts.

The famous shopping mall nearby Sepang International Airport which stores international brands. The parking was ample and easy even on the weekend. Indoor environment haven't changed much since my last visit 5 years ago. Not much of FnB choice here for me, more to fashion and apparel brand in this mall. The have everyday "Sales" going on but not for local citizen who would prefer shop to others great malls.
Shafiq I — Google review
Mitsui Outlet Park near KLIA is a convenient shopping destination for travelers waiting for their next flight. The mall is directly connected to flight information boards, so you can easily keep track of your departure while shopping. One great feature is their promotion — by showing your receipts at the customer service counter, you can receive a RM50 voucher for every RM500 spent. Most shoppers here were local Malaysian families, which made it feel less touristy. While prices were not significantly lower than in other malls, the convenience of having a wide range of international brands in one place makes it worthwhile. A clean and comfortable place to spend your waiting hours, with food, shopping, and access to travel updates — perfect for transit passengers at KLIA.

Mitsui Outlet Park KLIA Sepang is a well-designed and spacious shopping haven just minutes away from KLIA and KLIA2. The open-concept layout and Japanese-inspired architecture offer a refreshing ambiance for both local and international visitors. It houses a wide range of branded outlets such as Nike, Adidas, Coach, Fossil, and Michael Kors offering genuine products at discounted prices all year round. Apart from fashion, you can also find lifestyle, beauty, and home brands. The outlet is air-conditioned, clean, and easy to navigate with clear signages and friendly staff always ready to help. Food options are abundant with a good mix of local delicacies and international cuisines, including halal-certified outlets, Japanese restaurants, cafés, and a food court. The availability of prayer rooms, clean restrooms, baby rooms, and ample seating makes it family-friendly. Shuttle bus services from KLIA and KLIA2 make it highly accessible for transit passengers or those with a few hours to spare. Parking is ample and reasonably priced. Overall, it’s a great spot for shopping, dining, or just strolling while waiting for your flight. The environment is safe, organized, and not overly crowded on weekdays. Highly recommended for tourists and locals looking for good deals in a pleasant setting.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Had a great experience at Mitsui Outlet Park KLIA! Parking was super easy and convenient, which made the visit stress-free from the start. The outlet itself is clean and well-maintained, with spotless toilets and a pleasant atmosphere throughout. There’s a wide variety of brand-name shops to explore, so plenty of options for browsing and buying. That said, the prices weren’t as discounted as I expected—but still, it’s a good spot to spend a few hours. Overall, definitely worth a visit!

Serene shopping experience. A lot of international brands. Good layout. Lots of benches to rest your legs. Not too crowded. Restaurants selection could be better. A bit upscale.

Train station
KLIA2, located in Sepang, Malaysia, is a major entry point for visitors to the country. The airport is known for offering both affordable and premium airfares and boasts a vibrant setting surrounded by lush greenery. Inside, travelers can enjoy a wide range of amenities including dining options, shopping outlets, and modern electronic centers. Additionally, there are convenient facilities such as food courts and shops near the arrival gate.
Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) is clean, modern, and easy to navigate. Signs are clear, and staff are friendly and helpful. Immigration and security checks are usually fast. The airport has many shops, restaurants, and lounges for all budgets. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the terminal. Public transport and taxis are easy to find, making travel to and from the airport convenient
Lakdimuthu W — Google review
It's very warm & no AC. --- They need to have more signage in suitable places. Toilets are clean, staff manning the KLIA transit are helpful
WaiTuck C — Google review
A solid travel hub with great connectivity, though some room for improvement KLIA2 has been my go-to terminal for low-cost carriers, and I’ve passed through it countless times. What I appreciate most is the sheer size and modernity—you can tell it was built to handle massive traffic. The interior is spacious, well-lit, and designed like a shopping mall, which can be a plus or minus depending on how much walking you like to do before a flight 😅. Pros: • Excellent for budget airlines like AirAsia. Super efficient check-in counters and lots of self-check-in kiosks. • Lots of food options—local Malaysian eats, international chains, and cafes. My go-to is the Nasi Lemak at NZ Curry House. Highly recommend before a long flight. • Connected directly to KLIA Express and KLIA Transit trains, which is a huge plus if you’re going to or from the city center (takes just 30-40 mins). • Clean toilets, decent seating areas, and lots of charging points. Things to note: • It’s a LOT of walking from immigration to your gate. Especially for international flights—so wear comfy shoes and plan extra time. • Security can sometimes be understaffed during peak hours, so budget more time for that too. • The signage is good but can be overwhelming for first-timers due to the mall-airport hybrid design. Overall, I’ve had very smooth experiences flying in and out of KLIA2. It’s clean, organized, and very functional, though not necessarily luxurious. If you’re flying AirAsia or another LCC, this terminal does the job well. 🧳✈️ Would definitely recommend for budget-conscious travelers, especially if you’re familiar with the layout!

This is the first international airport I have visited. It is really good, and I really like the infrastructure. The immigration officers and other staff are very helpful. There are also many food stalls where you can get something to eat.

I've never been to some of the poorest countries in the world. But to see water ponding on tarmac is something new, not even in Hanoi, Saigon, BKK, Phuket or Bali. I also noticed that most of customs officers are either chatting or staring at their phones. A far cry from the officers in Changi Airport. KLIA T2 is a national embarrassment!

Gateway@KLIA Terminal 2 is a modern mall located inside Kuala Lumpur International Airport, approximately 33 km from the city. It offers a variety of international stores and eateries, making it a convenient stop for tourists before they leave the city. The resort also provides free water sport activities such as kayaking and stand up paddle boarding for in-house guests, along with kid-friendly amenities like swings and games.
Amazing Experience at KLIA2 KLIA2 offers a modern and spacious environment with plenty of shops throughout the terminal. Boarding pass printing and baggage check-in are available via self-service kiosks, with helpful staff on hand to assist if needed. Flight information is clearly displayed on screens, and signage is placed throughout the terminal, making it easy to find the boarding gate. Free self-service trolleys are also available for added convenience. The airport is clean and well-maintained, with many toilets and prayer rooms (mosques), all free of charge. Overall, KLIA2 is a well-organised, efficient, and traveler-friendly airport.
Syed B — Google review
KLIA2 has been my go-to airport for both domestic and international flights, and every time I pass through, I’m reminded of how massive and modern this place is. The design is practical yet stylish, with wide walkways and plenty of natural light coming in, which makes the whole experience feel less stressful. One thing I really appreciate is the variety of shops, restaurants, and cafés. Whether you just want a quick coffee before boarding, a full meal, or even some last-minute shopping, you’ll definitely find something here. The duty-free section is huge, with a good selection of brands at competitive prices. I’ve even done some spontaneous shopping while waiting for my flight. The check-in and security process is generally smooth. Of course, during peak holiday periods, it can get crowded, but the staff usually handle the flow of people efficiently. I’ve noticed that self-check-in kiosks and baggage drop counters make things much faster compared to the old way. Another thing worth mentioning is the connection to public transport. KLIA2 is very well linked with the KLIA Ekspres and KLIA Transit trains, which get you to the city in under an hour. It’s so much more convenient than worrying about traffic. There’s also plenty of options for buses, taxis, and e-hailing services right outside. Walking distances inside the terminal can be long—so if you have heavy bags or are traveling with elderly family members, do prepare for that. But at the same time, the walk is lined with shops and eateries, so it doesn’t feel boring. Cleanliness is another strong point. The toilets are well-maintained, and the prayer rooms are spacious and comfortable. I’ve also found the signage inside the terminal to be clear and easy to follow, which is great for first-time travelers. Overall, KLIA2 gives a good impression of Malaysia to travelers coming in for the first time. It’s modern, organized, and has all the amenities you’d expect from a major international airport. Personally, I always feel a sense of excitement flying in and out of KLIA2—it’s more than just an airport; it feels like the start of a journey.
Max L — Google review
KLIA is a big and spacious airport with many facilities and clear signage. However, finding the eRide pickup point can be a bit confusing at first, especially for new visitors. Once you get familiar with the layout, everything else runs smoothly. Overall, a good experience in a large international airport.

KLIA2 is a modern and well-designed airport with plenty of facilities for travelers. The layout is spacious, clean, and easy to navigate, with clear signage guiding you from check-in to boarding. There’s a great variety of dining and shopping options — perfect for both quick bites and last-minute souvenirs. Immigration and security are generally efficient, though queues can get long during peak hours. The terminal’s connection to Gateway@KLIA2 adds extra convenience for food, rest, and shopping. Overall, a pleasant travel experience — comfortable, functional, and a solid 4-star airport for both local and international flights.
The H — Google review
A smooth and straightforward experience at KLIA2. Security was a breeze – no queues at all and I was through in less than 5 minutes, which was a pleasant surprise. The terminal is clean, well-organised, and easy to navigate, though don’t expect anything ultra-modern or luxurious. Airside, there’s not a huge variety of shops, but enough to pass the time. You’ll find the basics – a duty-free, a few chocolate and confectionery outlets, and some quick bites like Burger King and Kreate. Great if you’re after a snack or light meal before your flight. The terminal definitely focuses more on function than flair. One plus point is the amount of seating – plenty of space to relax near the gates without feeling crammed in. There’s also decent signage and helpful staff around if you need assistance. Ideal for budget airlines and quick getaways, KLIA2 isn’t flashy, but it’s efficient and gets you where you need to go without hassle.
I. M — Google review
A very long walk to get to the departure gate. While walking there are a lot of souvenirs, snacks, and brand name goods. Foods and drinks sell at reasonable prices.
TCNX — Google review
KLIA2 is so badly designed without end consumers in mind. All if not regional airports in SEA provide charging stations which is for user’s convenience. Not KLIA2. They rather people use plug points for cleaners etc (that’s why you see people sitting on floors.) Also charging wall without any seat or table. Seriously what is wrong with you Malaysia Airports???? You keep ‘winning’ awards -but for what??? Awards don’t mean anything if you cannot get simple things right. I have to charge standing at empty counter which looks like an information desk/counter. Do your job right. You charge us passengers fees which is paid via the airline when we buy tickets. Do your part by providing proper professional service. Don’t just keep taking care of retailers.

It's a fantastic concept to have a mini tropical forest right inside the airport, providing passengers with a different experience during transit.

An impressive area of Kuala Lumpur International Airport, the jungle boardwalk is a small tropical garden inside a terminal building but with direct opening to outside air, allowing in birds, butterflies and a variety of local plant species. The boardwalk is centrally located, free of charge and a great place to sit on a bench and relax between flights. Pro Tip Seoul's Incheon Airport, Singapore's Chiangi Airport and Kuala Lumpur International Airport are three of the best airports in the world for a transit. These airports are tourist attractions in and of themselves. If you happen to layover in any of these three, I suggest making sure that you have several hours of connection waiting time so you can enjoy exploring the airport, itself.

This is a fantastic concept—a mini tropical forest right inside the airport!! Located in the Satellite Terminal (near gates C-11 to C-17). It's a mini forest with various plants, including an amazing waterfall (watch out for occasional bird droppings). The best part? It's free! A refreshing and unique stopover!

Unique experience of seeing a little forest in the mid of an international airport 🥰. Entry is free and it will take hardly 5-10 minutes to experience the ambience designed as a forest. No staff needed inside. Located in the center of C wing. Must visit if you have time to pass during transit 🥰😍🤩

Amazing experience. I didn't know about this little jungle located inside the airport and accessible to all. It was just coincidence how I end up there. Anjung Spotter Observation Deck is Malaysia's first plane observation deck, offering a fantastic experience for both adults and children. With the capacity to accommodate up to 40 individuals at a time, it provides the perfect vantage point for capturing stunning photographs of airplanes taking off and landing. The deck is a free and safe location to witness airplane landings at KLIA, providing an alternative to watching near the runway.
A real treat to have an outside viewing area so close to the planes and easily accessible. Although you can’t see much of the runway, you do get to see planes as they lift off.

Nice place to go while waiting for guest arrival to KLIA airport instead of waiting by the roadside. The Airport old transfer tramp had make this place their final resting area. This place is good for photographer to take photos of planes taking off.

Shakti R — Google review
Came here to get a view of planes landing and was not disappointed at all. The view point is on an elevated platform that gives a clear panaromic view of the runway. I spent about one and half hour here and had a great time taking pictures and enjoying the view. I came around 1pm and it was a hot day. So bring some snacks and water if you plan to spend time here but take not that there is no toilet nearby. I would recommend anyone to come here to get a view of planes and let the kids enjoy looking at planes. Do install app like Flightradar or any other tracking app so you know which plane will land soon and how long it will take to arrive. Parking is not an issue here as there are parking spots at both side of the view point.
Vijayakumar V — Google review
Free healing spot. You can still enjoy the view from parking spot even the deck has been close. If not mistaken it wrote to be open from quite early morning to 7.30pm. However during my visit, it still being open till midnight. There is ample parking area if you don't want to park on the roadside.

Awesome and authentic taste! This is a must-try restaurant if you’re visiting Mitsui Outlet Park near KLIA. There was a bit of waiting time during lunch as the place was fully crowded, but it was absolutely worth the wait. The flavours were rich, well-balanced, and truly delicious. I really enjoy Thai food, and ParaThai at Mitsui Outlet Park KLIA Sepang did not disappoint. The flavors were bold, authentic, and satisfying – a great spot for Thai cuisine lovers. I did ask whether the restaurant is halal-certified, and the staff mentioned that the halal certification is currently in progress. Hopefully, that’s true, as it would provide greater assurance for Muslim customers. The food itself was excellent. However, for those who are not used to spicy food, do take note – even the stir-fried kangkung (water spinach) was spicy! Delicious, but definitely has a kick. I’d recommend asking for less spicy options if you prefer milder flavors.

My parents’ personal favourite restaurant. They prefer Mitsui’s outlet as compared to other outlets because the food tastes better. We visited the outlet today and everything is as delicious as usual. However we are a tad bit disappointed with the pineapple fried rice. Usually the fried rice is served in a pineapple shell, but today it is served plainly on the plate :(
Intan R — Google review
The Red Robi was delicious and the rice was perfectly cooked — I really enjoyed those. The soup, however, didn’t quite look like the photo on the menu, and the pineapple could have been fresher. Just a small note for improvement, but overall I had a good experience. Thank you!

Food was horrid. WORST polo bun I’ve ever eaten. Can’t even be bothered to use real butter Soya chicken with fried rice: chicken was still ok but the fried rice was just pepper with rice Spicy beef soup: the soup was like Korean instant noodle MSG soup! Exactly the same!!!! We did not come here for instant noodle soup😓

It's situated at a strategic location. However the food is the worst I had in KLIA2, tasteless, hard & charred chicken with wonton noodles that had the lye water smell, prawn dumplings had very tough & chewy skin covering stale, under season and tough prawn & surimi mixture. Service by waiters could be taken over by robots, at least robots are fun to watch and come with a melody.

Decided to give this place a chance but turn out disappointed! Service is bad and slow, due to their lack of staffs! Food wise also not good. Fried Mee Hoon is sweet, very weird! Wanton mee also not good as well. Need a lot of improvement if they are to compete with the rest of the restaurant in KLIA2

KD Hong Kong is located at KLIA2 serving kopitiam style food. The food itself is average is taste, the wan tan noodle is too watery with blunt taste, the salted egg siu mai is too dry. Price itself is consider above average. The positive point about this restaurant it has good environment and vibe and not so crowded.

CUSTOMER SERVICE: We came in the morning. Customer service is fairly ok. The worker was little tired. Still they managed to serve good. PRESENTATION: Food presentation was pretty good. With wooden platter for some dishes. PRICES: Little pricey but still were not up to standard. Overall TASTE: Very different from Hong Kong food I guess. Taste is not up to real dim sum. I am from Ipoh but am able to compromise on taste of I travel elsewhere but this place particularly need to reconsider how dim sum is made in the kitchen. Wan ton Mee probably is Maggi Mee. Steam bread is not good. So so. Coffee is out. My iced tea was very strong and bitter. Very little detail and quality are put into food. Hope the management can rethink how the food are made and taste of food comes out. I apologise for the hard comment but I believe things can get better around as there are close competitors around.

Use fave pay to get 5% cash back. Overall food not bad. Portion just nice and reasonable price for the food served. Very friendly and patient staff. Just that got extra charge of 10% service fee and 6% service tax. Got power socket at every seats for charging.

Malaysian restaurant
Restaurant
Grandmama's KLIA Satellite is a delightful haven for travelers seeking authentic Malaysian cuisine while at the airport. This charming eatery boasts a contemporary decor that creates a warm and inviting atmosphere, making it popular among both locals and international visitors. The menu features an array of traditional favorites, beautifully presented to enhance their appeal.
It is very good. I didn’t had a chance to have fresh coconut during my stay in KL, and at Grandmama’s happens to have it. The fried chicken is ok, juicy. The shrimp is not as flavourful as the local stalls. But in general, for airport food it is quite good and clean. Sadly the fired egg is not fresh fired. Service wise, it was quite good. Also, there may be a chance to get a free dessert.

I went there to have soup around 7am. They had chicken and shrimp soup with rice noodles. They were pretty good for the airport food. Usually airport food sucks but this one wasn’t as bad. If you’re at airport give them a try. We had noodles and Lasi nemak, Noodles were pretty good but last nemak was average. They serve halal

We were in need for a quick meal especially after 10pm and decided to give this place a try. We were pleasantly surprised. The biggest shout out bout this restaurant goes out to the staff who were very welcoming and accommodating. Eventhough it was the evening, the place felt rather hot for us. The staff lowered the temperature of the portable air con to more comfortable levels and seated us close to it as well. Only drawback for us is it did take a while for the plate of char kuey teow to be prepared. The flavours were decent and there was wok hei, which made up for it. Would have been nice to not need to rush through the meal as we didnt have much time. Ice lemon tea was ok.

I like this setup. I was on my way to Penang, in transit, looking for a tastes of Malaysia. The Sang Har Mian if not so sticky would have tasted bettet. The Ipoh Hor Fun is good. This isnot because I missed local tastes. You can give a try.

Very reasonably priced food considering you are in the international departure area of the airport. Prices are similar to shopping malls. RM22 for a plate of nasi goreng and RM10 for teh tarik. Staff were friendly and polite. Would recommend coming here for a quick Malaysian bite.

Visited during a busy period and was impressed with the service - the servers were attentive, quick, and our food arrived hot despite the crowd. Portions are huge, which is a plus. That said, prices are on the high side and the taste was just okay. Not bad, but I’ve definitely had better for the price. Overall, good service and big portions, but the food itself didn’t quite live up to expectations.

For airport food, it was really good! My nasi goreng kampung was solid and each of the individual ingredient was awesome.. service was good and fast as well and the location faces out onto the runway with planes surrounding. Good place to fill yourself up prior to a flight!

I went to KLIA satellite for transit flight. I chose this restaurant for lunch because the menu had a very local feel. The food was delicious, and the restaurant was clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. If I'm in KLIA again (maybe for transit), I'll probably return to this restaurant.

DIN by Din Tai Fung KLIA Terminal 1 is a good dining option after checking in your bags at the airport. The restaurant does not serve pork and offers delicious but slightly pricey food. The chicken chop scallion noodle is a quick and satisfying choice, while the steamed food options like buns and wantons are great for a faster meal. The lava custard bun with salted egg comes highly recommended for those who enjoy this flavor.
We arrive here early morning, but already full of people. We order shredded chicken egg fried rice 雞絲 蛋炒飯. And hot soya drink. It take quite a while waiting for the fried rice. Egg fried rice seems easy to make, but it take an experienced chef to make the dish stand out. This one is stand out. Yummy.. Highly recommend.

The restaurant is located in the KLIA check-in area and was quite packed with people and their luggage when we arrived. We waited about 5 minutes before getting a seat—not too bad. We weren’t really that hungry, just looking to pass the time while waiting for our flight. So we ordered the assorted soya ball dessert and spicy veggie wantons. Overall, the taste was nice and satisfying for a light bite. Thanks for the quick service and tasty food!

Feeling very vegetarian today but I also wanted a chicken soup. So here it is. The service here is quite good. The sprouts initially i have requested without garlic. But it came with garlic. They have changed it for me in the end as well. That was very kind of them and the waitress, was also very apologetic. The fried rice is YUMMY!!!

A great restaurant for halal Taiwanese food at KLIA Terminal 1. Overall, the shrimp and chicken siu mai, as well as the chicken xiao long bao, are fresh and tasty. Prices are slightly on the higher side, considering the quality of the food and the airport location.

Wanted a quick snack before clearing immigration for our flight and was glad that the restaurant is located nearby the check in counters. Service isn’t the best like I’ve experienced in other Din outlets as they don’t seem as welcoming. However, the food makes up for it. The dishes tasted great as per usual, with the fried items being crispy and not too oily. The stir fried French beans were also delicious, I will definitely order again the next visit.

Din Tai Fung at KLIA1 is a halal certified branch so it does not serve pork. The restaurant is part of the same renowned brand from Taiwan that many consider a must visit. Compared to the Pavilion branch which serves pork dishes the KLIA1 outlet offers a fully halal menu. The variety is impressive ranging from dim sum soups noodles and fried rice to an array of stir fried and à la carte dishes. Prices are on the higher side especially since it is located in the airport but the quality is consistent with Din Tai Fung’s reputation where food is refined well managed and delicious. For the best experience it is recommended to dine with a group and order different dishes to share so you can enjoy a wider range of flavours. Overall I think is a refined dining option at KLIA1 with diverse halal friendly choices excellent taste and top quality food management though expect premium pricing.

Went for dinner w my family just before sending our parents off last Thursday. We had a splendid time being served by Mr. Hafizzudin there from start to finish & made us laugh. It was already a long day for us but people like him makes it memorable and enjoyable to eat there. His recommendations made the experience better for us. Shoutout to him! Didn’t get to take the photos because we were hungry😂 all in all, food was also great & left with a happy tummy!

The coffee and food I ate here was so good that I decided to order more plates and more coffee. Of course, my photo does not reflect that...but believe me I ate for two people that day. Customer service is top notch! They are professionals in every sense. As a customer I felt very well taken care of and they were graciously willing to accommodate all of the luggage I was transporting as well as my own indecisiveness. Try this out! Yes its a little bit more relative to other eateries around however you are paying for quality.
