Every nice church. This church has the tallest tower in the world. You can pay 7 Euros and walk all the way to the top. Please ensure that you are semi fit....it is a long and winding staircase of over 750 steps. But the view is worth it. They are currently doing some restorations to the church so please bear with the noise.

The Gothic architecture is incredibly detailed, and the interior is full of history — especially the 15th-century choir stalls with their intricate wood carvings. The highlight, of course, is climbing the tallest church spire in the world. It’s 768 steps up a narrow staircase, but the panoramic view over the city and, on clear days, even the Alps, makes it worth every step. Inside, the atmosphere is peaceful and bright, with beautiful stained-glass windows and an impressive organ. The Münsterplatz around the church is also lively, with cafés and markets (the Christmas market here is fantastic). Be prepared: the tower climb is steep and not for everyone, but if you can manage it, it’s unforgettable. Overall, Ulm Minster is one of Germany’s greatest landmarks. Highly recommended!

Ulm Minster is an absolute must-see — not only for its record-breaking spire, but also for the sense of calm and beauty it offers. It’s very easy to reach, just a short and pleasant walk from Ulm’s main train station through the charming old town. When I visited, there was some ongoing renovation work, with padding and scaffolding around the front and upper sections, which did slightly spoil the full view of the façade. However, the minor distraction did not take away from the overall experience — once you step inside, the atmosphere completely changes. The city’s noise fades away, replaced by a deep sense of peace and stillness. Whether you’re interested in history, architecture, or simply looking for a quiet moment of reflection, Ulm Minster is a beautiful and easily accessible place to visit.

A beautiful church, built in the Gothic style. It abounds in beautiful elements within its interior, and until recently this church also had the largest church tower in the world.

Small but perfectly formed. What a wonderfully quirky and unexpected little museum. A museum about bread and the art it has inspired. Exhibits cover the history and origins of bread from both a social history and scientific context. Then art works from Chagal, Dali, Warhol, and many others.

Not really focused on bread. More an art/history museum with bread related comedy here and there. Really fun experience!

A small privately run museum over 3 floors. All about bread, looking at it from many perspectives, not just as a source of nourishment. It has an excellent audio guide in English, French or German ( possibly other languages too). Separate audio guides for children. Some interactive exhibits. They also run lots of workshops, apparently. They are holding a festival next week, which I’d love to attend. We were told they will be closing down for 6 months to reorganize until May 2019 soon. We spent 2.5hours in the museum and completely lost track of time there. It exceeded our expectations and we‘ll definitely come back in 2019 for a workshop and to see the new set up.

Very interesting. The wall is not high, but you can walk on it. And next to the Danube embankment. The largest river in Europe. It captures the spirit of how many European countries it connects!

We bumped into the famous Danube river festival. In Europe, the Danube runs through 10 countries. Along streets, we saw colorful balconies decorated with different national flags of all countries along the River. Very rich cultural event. The ULM church looks really an impressive structure, from any angle. Lots of people, food, beers & wines...., music. Ulm's our transit point only as we'd a long day to drive, so one glass of beer was all we had. It's amazing that most Europeans can use fluently at least 3 languages.

A must see area while visiting Ulm. Great place to enjoy views of the beautiful buildings and the river. Also a very historic part of the city. Highly recommend!

Nice walk on the outer rim of the city

Original construction rare in the world. It’s possible to go inside and take a look at old machinery for getting mineral water earth. Good picnic and relax facilities as well.

If you have few days to spend in Ulm, this is probably one spot that should be included. It is nice walk in and around the city with beautiful instagrammable pictures. It is peaceful serene spot to chill, have food or coffee and just soak in the sun and flowing river sound. It is one of the touristy spot of Ulm but not very crowded. From here, one can either go towards Ulm market at one side (if wanna shop) or towards the other end where Danube river crossing bridge is present. Through this bridge, you can go towards Neu Ulm. The whole passway is walkable and very clean well maintained.

During my visit to Ulm, I went to this place. There is nothing special to watch here, but it is worth to take short walk through lanes with beautiful houses, water flow path and have a good meal in restaurant. I give 7/10 👍to this place in Ulm.

The Fishermen's Quarter (Fischerviertel) in Ulm was the traditional neighborhood of fishermen, tanners, and craftsmen with canals running between medieval half-timbered houses.

Nice green green grass spreading along the river green Donau, it’s dazzling under such a beautiful sky in the early Spring. How lucky! Crowded and busy are usual in the weekends but fortunately nobody want to rush over here. I spent my leisure time here for a while, lay on the grass, purely enjoyed the breeze and doing nothing at all. Breathing, totally relax ~~

This Italian restaurant is located in a lovely spot close to a fast flowing river. The waitress who greeted me on arrival was a bit dismissive. I soon saw that she was ending her shift and another waitress took over who was very attentive and friendly. The food was good and served very quickly. I would definitely go back again and try to get a table close to the river.

Two colleagues recommended me the place because is located right next to the river but it was unfortunately a big disappointment. We ordered two types of pasta and one was a carbonara. The carbonara had NO FLAVOR and came with a WHITE sauce. Literally there was no eggs, cheese nor bacon (it was pieces of other meat that had no flavor) so we had to add a lot of salt and pepper to have some kind of flavor. Unfortunately I don’t recommend this place if you want pasta, maybe for pizza is different?

We loved the atmosphere and the surroundings! Do get yourself seated indoor right next to the river, we didn't get this chance but would recommend so. We ordered 2 of their pizza, prosciutto and tuna, as well as their spaghetti aglio e olio and their mix salad. For the pizza, the portion was quite big! You can order 2 pizza for 4 persons if you are not that hungry. The salad, not my favorite. Some of them were too sour and some were too salty, not too balanced. The bread was also no longer crispy, kinda stale. Aglio e olio is just plain spaghetti, again, generous portion. Overall its an okay place for eat, nothing to complain really. Everything comes out quite fast, we are happy.

Lovely place in a lovely environment. The staff is very friendly and they speak English (our German is not so good). The starters were huge, so we couldn't finish our plates, but the lasagna was excellent! The pizza was also very good, but it can be easily shared by two, especially if you order starters. We chose to seat inside (mosquito season), but the space outdoors is beautiful. Highly recommended!

This place is in a really good location next to a little river. Inside it is cozy but nothing special. It is one of the better Italian restaurants in Ulm. I think they make better Pizza than Noodle. Service was great and attentive the way it should be.

I asked that my beef will be done but it was medium. The ribs were not delicious unfortunately and in stead of marinating them in the sauce then cook, it was cooked in the oven and then covered with a lot of sauce.

Good place if you are looking for a steak in Ulm. Prices are a bit high, but that is probably to be expected since the place is very central and it's a steakhouse. The steaks were good, but not super incredible. We ordered both medium-rare but one was more like medium-well done. Hashbrowns are tasty, but having said that, when we looked around other sides were served in larger quatities, something you may consider when choosing between fries, a baked potato etc. We also had mixed feelings about the staff. Some were super nice, others looked annoyed. Our server was a lovely young black hair lady that made our experience much better. If you're craving steak, give it a try. But if you're looking for a nice restaurant, you can get much better in Ulm for half the price.

Just judge how well done the meat is, I've read some reviews and it seems they always undercook it. If I wanted a medium I'd have ordered it. Well done is medium Medium is rare Rare is probably the cow? Who knows.

In John Benton restaurant they really know how to prepare the excellent beef steak. Onion soup is good but desserts are worth of coming back there, so is the proffesional staff.

Very tasty food but not a five-star service. The fact that during the week this restaurant is almost full confirms that the food is great but this has to go together with the number of staff serving customers which is not the case. We had a feeling that we were left alone and the staff did not even ask once whether we would like to order another drink or dessert. They forgot to bring the side dish we had ordered and somehow mixed it up with another one. At the end, we had to ask four times until we got the bill to pay. All of this, you usually do not expect to see in a restaurant in this price range.

Rude, patronising waiter. Talked down to us as we were foreign, and asking for the Wi-Fi code. At 13.20 told us the kitchen was closing soon. He couldn’t have been less welcoming, so we left.

Amazing restaurant inside the city center of ulm, when you enter you feel like being at home. I really appreciated the background music, not too loud and always on top! The quality of the dishes is high, thanks also to the amazing work of the staff, always keen on every detail! I will come back as soon as I can!

The staff was super attentive and friendly. We ordered the carpaccio and the artichokes with cheese as entrance to share, and the dorada fish as main dish. Everything was super delicious. The presentation was nice, too. The atmosphere was cozy, and there was enough space between tables. The coffee was one of the best coffees i have tasted in Ulm. There is a garage parking lot near the restaurant, which makes it pretty accessible .

we ordered 4 subs, but my experience was very worst. Staff was not nice. They are totally rude. Even all vegetables are outside of the sub and sausage which I told you, he just ignored it and pack the subs. And after that He just gave Bag and told pack your self. Friedrichsau is such a peaceful and refreshing place to visit in Ulm. I went there during my birthday trip, and it was the perfect green escape after exploring the city and the Münster. The park is huge, full of trees, open spaces, walking paths, and even little lakes – very relaxing! It’s a great spot to just walk around, sit under the shade, or enjoy a picnic. I saw families, joggers, and people just enjoying nature. There’s also a small zoo and some cute cafés nearby. Everything felt calm and clean. If you’re in Ulm and want some quiet time in nature, definitely check this place out. A hidden gem for sure!

One of the most beautiful places in Ulm if you want to be close to the nature all at once. There's beautiful ponds and streams decorated with beautiful trees to bring you peace and beauty altogether. Great place for a morning or evening walk.

Bigger than its Munich store. there's everything you'll ever I'm order to cook Asian food, alongside with many freezers filled with every ready-to-eat food imaginable. the only thing I wasn't able to find there was Ube Extract, and overall this place didn't have a lot of things for baking. But I was impressed with the fruits/vegetables selection, it had longan, mangosteen, jackfruit, durian and plenty more fruits that I can't remember. the items have a fair price, and alongside with a student discount you get 5% off everything.

I really liked the selection they had of various Asian products. I mainly came for the beer, but also bought a bunch of noodles, sauces, vegetables and some frozen products too. The prices are as expected given the long journey the items have traveled. There is also a nonfood section with plates, knives and other utensils.

It's a big supermarket that offers fresh silk Tofu, high-quality Kim Chi local and oversee, lots of asian ingredients, and much more. It's really big and has everything for vegans.

This is the Saturdays local market, where you can find fresh fruit, vegetables, huge variety of meat, wurst and cheese, local region products among other regular market goodies. So is the place to go to do your fresh groceries stock of the week. The fact is in the Münster Platz helps with the view and good atmosphere. Be warned, in winter is basically the most cold area in center Ulm.

Really awesome fish here! Tried the swordfish and the tuna and they are really good. Bouncy texture and flavourful meat. The crab soup is good too. Take note that they do not accept foreign credit cards.

Very good central location and always delicious menu choices, my most liked place to grab a bite. The personnel had been constantly readily available to listen to our requests. My very little sis and I were really fulfilled with all the top quality ingredients that are regionally sourced, everything tasted genuinely fresh. Quality of food is at the top level. Prices are a bit on the high side but worth every cent. Toby, our waiter, was very very helpful, efficient and somewhat funny. For us it was a big surprise that in the center of Ulm there is a place like this. Coming back to the food, we were animated with the way it is served and prepared/consumed. If you order steak you get big stone plate with additional two smaller stone plates, one cold - one hot. You make steak according to your taste. Also there are three sauces included and one portion od french fries. When you order side dish you pay one portion and if you like, you order more free of charge. My wife ordered Argentinian beef steak and I ordered Surf&Turf steak/prawns combination (one extra sauce for prawns). Both were excellent. As side dish we ordered potato with cheese which was ordered two times more (so good) and small mixed salad. Dessert was delicious. We ordered a few different and all were yummy yummy. Easy top marks from us.

Best steak ive ever had! And a very unique experience, where you grill the steak by yourself. The sides were also very delicious especially the potato gratin. The apple pi was very tasty as well. The salad was a bit disappointing because it was just half a cabbage with dressing and bacon over it, but the dressing made it taste good. It can be a bit stifling in the restaurant because of all the smoke comming from the steak grilling.

Service was really good, our waitress was very friendly and helpful. Steaks were great with free refills on side dishes, a nice wine demonstration to include putting it into a carafe, nice touch that you don't see often here in Germany. English speaking also. Danke!

Good, but by far not the best steak of the world and not even the best one in Ulm. The workaround with the hot stone more or less shifts the responsibility to hit the desired cooking point to the customer. I was here quite often and at least twice had meat that wasn't that good. Prepare for longer waiting times, because especially when it's crowded the waiters are simply understaffed and struggle. Still I like to go there every now and then.
